A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 661-Natalie fell silent.

At this moment, she sat quietly in place, and even Clyde couldn't discern what was going on in her mind.

The man pulled a wicker chair and sat beside her.

"Things in Simeria are chaotic right now."

"And?" Natalie responded indifferently.

"When you go back this time, it can't be like last time."

There was a hint of exasperation in Clyde's tone, and Natalie fell silent.

Last time?

Was he referring to her entanglement with Malcolm last time? It had indeed been a cause for concern in the Jarvis family.

Stephen had never wanted to get involved with the Entes family, so they definitely wouldn't want Natalie to be entangled with them.

And with Natalie's current resentment towards Irwin and Cedric, nobody knew what she might do in such circumstances.

That was the most worrying aspect.

"Alright, I understand what you mean, Cly," Natalie said gently.

Her words relieved Clyde.

"It's good that you understand. Dad has been worried about you, and everyone is waiting for you to return."

Everyone was waiting for her?

At this moment, Natalie felt a pang of discomfort in her heart. Ultimately, she had become the most worrying child in the family.

It was something she least wanted to happen, but it was staring her in the face now.

She took a deep breath and sighed. "I've let everyone down!"

As she said this, the suffocating feeling in her chest intensified.

"You haven't done anything wrong," Clyde reassured her.

Had she not done anything wrong?

In the midst of all the twists and turns between the three of them, everything had become unclear.

Who was the one truly at fault?

Was it Irwin's fault for plotting everything?

But humans… could calculate actions, not hearts or emotions!

Or was Cedric at fault?

He certainly was wrong in some aspects!

"Nat."

"Yes?"

"Listen to me… You should let it go!"

At this moment, Clyde looked at how lonely Natalie seemed, and his tone was tinged with resignation.

Did she hate them?

Naturally, she did!

Whatever Cedric or Irwin had done in her life was unforgivable. However, carrying hatred was too heavy for a person! Those who harbored hatred were constantly enduring a hellish torment.

Clyde had experienced such feelings. He didn't know how he eventually emerged from such heaviness.

And it was precisely because of this that he didn't want Natalie to sink into that pain.

Hating someone was too painful. In the process of hating, one was repeatedly hurt.

Fortunately, it was Clyde who said these words at this moment.

If it were Irwin and Cedric… one can only imagine how Natalie would react to them in such an ironic situation!

Clyde was also the only person who would say these words to Natalie now.

However, Natalie's lips curved into a smile. "I've tried it. It's useless!"

"Nat…"

"Cly, you don't understand!"

Understand what?

He didn't understand how much emotion she had invested in Cedric, nor did he know what it was like when Irwin saved her from danger time and time again.

No one knew how hard she had tried to overcome everything when Irwin succeeded in moving her heart each time…!

No one could understand how she felt then.

"The person who says to let it go thinks it's easy!"

Only those who endured it knew what it was like.

"Is it really impossible to forgive them?" Clyde asked.

"Ten years!"

Clyde fell silent at Natalie's words. He swallowed the words that had been on the tip of his tongue.

Ten years was a long time. Only Natalie knew what happened between her and Cedric during those ten years and what kind of feelings they had.

But it was also because of that long period of time that she experienced sweetness time and time again, which ultimately hurt her even more.

"How many relationships can last until marriage after seven years of being together?"

Not many.

However, in those seven years, the times she had with Cedric were truly sweet and beautiful. There had been nothing standing between them. Even now, looking back, the unpleasant experiences she had in those seven years were only related to the Johnson family.

There was no need to talk about what happened after they were married. But before marriage, the memories between them were too beautiful.

"I just didn't expect that the reason he and I would get married was because of that person…!"

How could she not hate under such circumstances? How many years of youth did one have in life?

She had wasted almost all of her youth on Cedric.

How could she bear it?

Naturally, she couldn't!

"Are you talking about Blair?" Clyde asked.

"Yes, her."

That name.

During this time, that name tore at her sanity incessantly. It even became a nightmare haunting her in the dead of night. She had never seen that person, but she knew exactly what Blair looked like.

"For a whole ten years, I've been nothing but a shadow!"

She had unknowingly lived in someone else's shadow in all her most beautiful moments.

At this moment, all the words that Clyde had wanted to say to Natalie in an attempt to persuade her vanished.

There was nothing else that needed to be said now!

Natalie could never forgive Irwin and Cedric.

Cedric had given her a beautiful youth, while Irwin had saved her from the depths of despair.

It was ironic! novelbin Truly… ironic.

The beautiful youth Natalie thought she had actually belonged to someone else. Irwin had destroyed her beautiful youth, pulling her out of hell time and time again!

"From beginning to end, I was the one bearing everything alone…"

Natalie couldn't help but choke up a bit when she said this. Yes, it had been her alone bearing it all.

That was the most ironic part!

Clyde stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her. At that moment, the warmth from a family member's protection gradually calmed Natalie's emotions.

"In the future, you won't be alone."

In the future?

Yes!

In the future, she would have her family, and no one could easily hurt her.

"But Nat, no matter how much you hate them, you must not let yourself fall into deeper hell, understand?"

The Entes family was undoubtedly a hellish existence. Everyone knew that becoming a member of the Entes family was difficult.

After becoming a member, one enjoyed many things, but one also had to truly integrate into the family!

Only the person who held the highest power could have supreme authority. Otherwise… it would be a disaster.

Clyde, Stephen, and everyone else didn't want Natalie to be involved with such a family.

They… wouldn't allow it!

"I understand."

Natalie's rationality slowly returned.

She also understood what Clyde's reminder meant.

She understood it all!

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 662-Clyde's embrace made Natalie feel secure and warm. So, this was the charm of family strength. Since returning to the Jarvis family, this warmth had been everywhere.

"When is the surgery scheduled?" Clyde asked.

"Tomorrow."

"Then I'll stay here with you."

"Okay," Natalie replied.

Hearing that Clyde would accompany her, Natalie felt even warmer inside. She felt much more reassured by his presence.

Clyde tightened his arms around her. He didn't ask Natalie what darkness truly looked like!

Even if the surgery succeeded, it was probably a pain she wouldn't want to face in her lifetime. - In a wooden building not far away, Cedric and Irwin stood together. They watched as Clyde held Natalie.

At that moment, Cedric's eyes held more than just sadness and bitterness. He spoke in a hoarse voice, "I once thought that her world revolved around me."

"So, at one point, you also believed that she could never live without you, right? You thought that no matter what happened, she could never be without you!"

Cedric fell silent at Irwin's words.

Indeed!

No matter what happened, Cedric always believed that Natalie would never leave him.

He thought Natalie would stay by his side forever.

However, he was wrong.

Even if she had nothing… she would still leave him if she was hurt!

Now that the limits of her patience had been reached, there would be no compromise or forgiveness.

"After tomorrow…"

Irwin trailed off when he reached this point. At this moment, the atmosphere between the two was heavy.

What would happen after tomorrow?

After tomorrow…

Cedric… would fall into the same suffocating darkness that Natalie was experiencing now.

"After tomorrow, Irwin… you'll be the only one left in her world!"

This time, Cedric had truly made up his mind.

No… He had decided after he left Yuloria and when he allowed Irwin to head to Natalie's side.

He was leaving Natalie.

"Are you really…?" Irwin looked at Cedric with anxiety when he reached this point.

Previously, Cedric had said there seemed to be no one else in this world he could trust except Irwin.

But was Cedric really willing?

Naturally, he wasn't!

He couldn't bear to let go!

As Cedric had said before, he never imagined that he and Natalie would come to this point. No matter what had happened in their life before, he had never thought Natalie would truly leave him.

However, they have now reached this point.

"I can't bear it…!" Cedric said these words with such helplessness.

Irwin fell silent.

Cedric couldn't bear it!

He was obviously reluctant to leave!

Ten years… a full ten years!

How many couples failed to reach the ten-year mark? novelbin They spent ten years together, and the depth of their feelings in those years…!

So now, putting it down and letting go of everything was naturally unbearable for Cedric.

However, he had to let go!

"Irwin, don't let her down again." Cedric's tone was heavier than ever.

"In that case, cancel the surgery tomorrow."

"You-"

"Can you let go then?" Cedric cut off Irwin's words before he finished.

Irwin fell silent instantly!

Obviously, he couldn't!

His silence also made Cedric see his determination towards Natalie. Irwin was a man who had difficulty falling in love with a woman. But once he did, he would never let her down.

"Since there's no way out for me and her, then I… will let go!"

Cedric glanced at Natalie in Clyde's arms. His tone was somewhat solemn.

Irwin was silent. At this moment, even breathing felt difficult.

He would let go!

Cedric was letting go for real this time. He was no longer clinging to Natalie and had completely let go of her.

Irwin's heart ached terribly.

The early evening sunlight, tinged with a faint red, could freeze anyone's gaze for an eternity.

At this moment, Cedric had engraved everything about Natalie in the depths of his memory!

"Do you know why I scheduled the surgery for tomorrow?"

Irwin was silent.

Why?

"Because I want to see her in the morning sun. I want to see her bathed in hope," Cedric said.

The morning sun represented hope.

He wanted to see her in hope!

"She's been by your side for so many years. Haven't you seen her like this before?" Irwin asked.

"For her, there's been too much despair!"

Irwin stiffened at Cedric's words.

Cedric was right.

In the days leading up to their divorce, Natalie had experienced too much despair by his side. It was a despair that almost enveloped her.

That was a fact that could never be changed.

And now…!

Tomorrow was the surgery, and everything in her future was now filled with hope.

That was truly what standing in hope looked like. - Cedric left soon after.

During dinner, there was a bonfire party. Lydia and Xyla were thrilled. Although Natalie couldn't see anything, Clyde's arrival clearly improved her mood. The atmosphere was lively, and she could feel the enthusiastic ambiance around the bonfire.

"Open your mouth." Clyde's voice came from beside her.

Natalie protested, "I can do it myself!"

"Open your mouth!" The man's tone was firm, and there was also a hint of coercion.

Natalie fell silent.

In the end, she reluctantly opened her mouth. Clyde stuffed a piece of appropriately sized grilled meat seasoned with cumin, her favorite food, into her mouth.

She recalled the first time she and Cedric had eaten grilled meat together. It had also tasted like this.

The past surged like a tide!

But more than anything, it brought her a cold feeling of suffocation.

"How does it taste?" Clyde's voice brought her back to reality.

At this moment, Natalie realized that it was all in the past. Things were completely different now.

Forget it!

In the future, no one would ever be able to force her to accept what she didn't want to accept.

Natalie nodded. "Hmm, it's delicious."

"The coconut juice here is very refreshing. I'll ask Lydia to bring you some."

"No need, let her enjoy herself."

Lydia and Xyla rarely went out during the time they spent in Yuloria with her. Girls naturally loved to have fun, and now that they were in a lively atmosphere, Natalie didn't want to spoil their fun.

"Then I'll go get it for you." Clyde felt somewhat helpless with Natalie's temperament.

If it wasn't because of Blair, Natalie's attitude toward Irwin and Cedric probably wouldn't have been so resolute, right?

So, in the end, it was they who… wronged her first!

No one could accept that Natalie had only experienced all her beautiful memories because she was living in the shadow of another person!

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 663-The coconut juice from Evergreen Peak was famous. It was even available in Simeria.

Heather often drank it, claiming it was excellent for the skin.

"It's so fresh and has a subtle taste," Natalie remarked.

"Authentic juices tend to be like that," Clyde said.

Natalie nodded. "Yes, it's very nice."

The taste was indeed pleasant, something she had grown accustomed to. She used to dislike coconut juice for its thick, cloying taste, but this one had a refreshing sweetness. It was the taste of nature.

Not far away, Cedric and Irwin stood on a wooden platform, watching the bonfire party in the square.

Irwin asked, "Are you leaving now?"

Cedric nodded. "Yes, I'll go ahead."

Irwin hesitated, feeling a tightness in his chest.

"Why aren't you over there?" Cedric inquired.

"Clyde is there. Also, she's likely happier without my presence."

As he said this, Irwin's voice carried endless bitterness.

Cedric said he felt trapped and that there was no way out for him and Natalie.

What about Irwin?

Wasn't he in the same situation?

Natalie's indifference towards him was obvious, and her aversion to his presence sent shivers down his spine.

"At least she has the Jarvis family behind her." Cedric sighed.

Irwin agreed. "Yes, thankfully."

At least there was the Jarvis family.

Cedric recalled their previous life when she was in the darkness…

Even though she didn't have anything, she still boldly demanded a divorce. Even though she knew she would suffer if she left his side, she did it without hesitation. Natalie's actions showed how strong her principles were.

Once hurt, she would use all her strength to protect herself, making it impossible for anyone to get close.

Cedric turned away and said solemnly, "Irwin, if there's even a glimmer of hope between us…"

Cedric didn't finish his sentence, but Irwin understood.

If there was even a small chance between him and Natalie, Cedric wouldn't give up, no matter the cost.

Hopelessness was the most despairing feeling, and Cedric had tasted it when dealing with Natalie.

He left.

Cedric… really left.

He went to prepare for the surgery, knowing that all the brightness in his life would belong to Natalie after tomorrow.

• Irwin watched Natalie as she stood near the bonfire, her face glowing with a gentle warmth in the firelight. It was this tenderness that left Irwin and Cedric helpless. Because… As soon as either of them approached her, that faint smile on her face, the smile that they both cherished, would vanish completely. - novelbin After dinner, Clyde personally escorted Natalie back to her wooden cabin. Meanwhile, Irwin stood on the other side of the wooden stairs, observing Natalie's smile. It was evident she was smiling because of Clyde's presence. "Rest well tonight," Clyde instructed Natalie. Natalie obediently nodded. "Don't worry." "Go on, then." "Okay." Lydia and Xyla accompanied Natalie into the room. After they went in, Clyde approached Irwin. The former was dressed in sportswear and exuded a sunny, boyish charm. But anyone who knew Clyde would understand… There was no sunshine in him! Once, both Cedric and he used Clyde's past to threaten Natalie. But now, they had ultimately given up. Cedric had given up! On the other hand, Irwin remained silent and held his ground. "Is the surgery all set?" Clyde asked with a heavy tone, his eyes shimmering with complexity. Irwin nodded. "Yes." "Make sure everything goes smoothly," Clyde said sternly. "Of course," Irwin replied. Neither he nor Cedric would allow any mishaps during the surgery. All they wanted was for Natalie to regain her sight. With such an important operation, everything was arranged meticulously to ensure no accidents occurred. Clyde nodded, "That's good." "You're staying here until tomorrow, right?" "Yes. Once it's over, I'll take her home with me." Irwin fell silent. Take her home? So… what did that mean? Wasn't Irwin Natalie's husband now? The thought suffocated Irwin a little more. Seeming to sense Irwin's thoughts, Clyde said, "Don't even entertain such thoughts. If there's truly no hope, let go!" His words were sharp and direct. There was already a suffocating feeling in his chest, and Clyde's words intensified the feeling! It wasn't just suffocating… it was downright difficult to breathe! Let go?! He made it sound so easy. "Let go, huh?" "Besides letting go, do you have any better ideas?" Better ideas? "None!" Indeed! He had none! Clyde continued, "Neither you nor him are worthy of her!" Irwin's eyes shimmered with profound bitterness. "You're right. Neither of us is worthy of her!" After all, their intentions for approaching Natalie were impure from the start. They brought trouble into her life! She was as resilient as a mountain! However, their insistence on dragging her into their world subjected her to even bigger troubles. Although her life was not without turbulence, at least she had slowly begun to adapt. Without Irwin and Cedric, Natalie's life would have undoubtedly been vastly different. Unlike the heavy atmosphere between Irwin and Clyde, Natalie had experienced rare moments of happiness during this period! Her mood had genuinely improved a lot. Lydia and Xyla were ecstatic. "Miss, I haven't been this happy in such a long time." "Oh, you…" There was a hint of helplessness and indulgence in Natalie's tone. It had been so long since Lydia had felt this happy? Natalie… was the same! It would be better if she could see. Everything she could perceive around her now was based on Lydia and Xyla's descriptions. "The barbecue was really delicious," Xyla remarked with a sigh. Natalie agreed wholeheartedly. She wasn't particularly demanding when it came to food, but tonight's barbecue was undeniably delicious. "I think so too," she said softly, her tone gentle and serene. "Wow, Miss likes it too!" Lydia and Xyla were even more delighted when they saw how happy Natalie was.

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 664-The night passed peacefully.

Natalie was happy because of Clyde's presence, and her lingering discontent towards Irwin and Cedric dissipated. Due to that, she was able to sleep well.

Although Heather had been calling her, expressing her desire to be by her side, Natalie had been hesitant to accept for fear of revealing her vulnerability to her family.

Deep down, however, she longed for their company.

Girls were like that. They wanted their family by their side during the toughest times. They didn't want to show their vulnerability, but they craved their family's presence more than anything. - Natalie slept soundly, but for a few, sleep evaded them throughout the night.

The next morning, Lydia and Xyla hurriedly finished their breakfast before Natalie woke up. As Natalie couldn't eat due to her surgery today, they had to finish before she woke up.

"Let's go," Clyde's voice rang out.

In the next moment, he scooped Natalie up in his arms.

"Are you going with me to the surgery?" Natalie asked.

"Yes."

"What about Irwin?"

"Do you miss him?"

"Of course not!"

It was just that Irwin had always been by her side recently, and now his sudden absence felt…

unsettling.

But perhaps it was for the best. Every time she heard his voice, Natalie felt a surge of anger.

In the car, Natalie sensed Irwin's presence. She understood that since Clyde arrived, he had forbidden Irwin from getting close to her.

"Cly."

"Yes?"

"Once the surgery is successful, will you take me home?"

She missed her family and Luna!

Nobody knew how much Natalie longed for Luna during this time. After all, if even her own father could novelbin hurt her, what other harm awaited Luna in the future?

Natalie wanted to be with her child. She wanted to see Luna grow up and witness every change firsthand.

"Of course," Clyde replied softly.

Natalie smiled at Clyde's response while Irwin sat in front, feeling bitter.

Three months!

During this time, she had requested to go home numerous times to both Irwin and Cedric. However, they had both refused, claiming it was for her own good.

In truth, they were selfish and wanted to pin their hopes on Edward.

Little did they know, they had wasted three months and caused Natalie unnecessary suffering!

At the hospital, everything was ready for the surgery. Clyde brought Natalie, and Dylan had taken care of the paperwork beforehand. They went straight to the preparation room. In the darkness, Natalie allowed Lydia and Xyla to help her change into her gown. When Clyde entered, Natalie was sitting calmly on the bed. "Are you afraid?" Clyde asked. "I'm… a little scared," she admitted. She truly was a little scared! She had been on the operating table more than once. She could still vividly recall how those people had forcibly placed her on the surgical table in her previous life, and how she had woken up to utter darkness after that. There hadn't been a single ray of light left in her life then! To say she wasn't afraid was a lie! She was genuinely scared. "Don't be afraid. I'll be by your side," Clyde reassured her. "Will you stay with me in the operating room?" Natalie asked. "Of course." Upon hearing that Clyde would accompany her into the operating room, Natalie breathed a sigh of relief. Her brother was the person she trusted most. With him by her side, she knew he would take charge no matter what happened in the operating room. "That's good… Great…" Natalie breathed a sigh of relief. Clyde watched Natalie trembling slightly due to how nervous she was, and he felt a pang of sympathy for her. He never used to have this sentiment, but things were different now. He accepted this emotion willingly, and his gaze softened when he looked at Natalie. "Don't be afraid. I'll be with you all the way," Clyde said gently. Natalie still didn't understand why the surgery had to be done in Yonwood City. Couldn't it have been done in Simeria? But she never asked why.

In the operating room, Natalie was already on the table. Clyde had promised to be with her, but someone else was also there. The smell of disinfectant overwhelmed everything, and Natalie couldn't distinguish anything anymore. When Clyde saw Cedric, his eyes showed a hint of complexity. Clyde knew…! Cedric had ultimately compromised. He was putting an end to his relationship with Natalie in such a brutal way. But was it truly over between them? "Cly." "What's wrong?" "I'm scared!" Natalie's voice trembled as she heard the cold clinking of the instruments. Clyde realized that Natalie's trembling had intensified since the preparation. Even when she spoke, her voice was filled with uncontrollable fear and tremors. "Don't be afraid. I'm here for you. Whatever happens, I'll be here. Try to relax a bit, okay?" "But I… I'm still afraid…!" Natalie's voice choked up as she spoke. That fear seemed to stem from the depths of her soul. Cedric was lying on the other side, and he felt a shudder run through his body as he heard her words. He knew exactly why Natalie felt such fear. That was why he told Irwin that his presence was hell for her. When Natalie was by his side, she never had good days. Even under his watch, those people dared to treat her so brutally and caused her such fear. Cedric… had ultimately failed to provide her with even the most basic protection. No one knew how angry he had been when he saw the surgical consent form in his previous life. Everything he said then was just out of anger! He never meant it! Even though he believed Natalie was behind it, he never truly wanted to see her go blind just to restore Isabella's sight. He never… ever thought like that. At that moment, all he felt was endless anger! He thought Natalie was retaliating against him with such actions because he hadn't explained the relationship he had with Isabella. Little did he know, there was a massive conspiracy behind the signed consent form. She never signed it! She never agreed to any of it. She was simply… manipulated by those people…! As Cedric thought about this, his emotions continued to fluctuate. He dared not imagine the depth of despair Natalie must have experienced. Yet, at her most desperate moment, he couldn't even be her support.

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 665-Clyde kept comforting Natalie, "Don't be afraid. Listen to me and relax. Take deep breaths. It's okay…!"

After a long time, Natalie finally relaxed under Clyde's reassurance. Those horrible memories gradually faded away.

Her heart also calmed down completely, and Clyde felt somewhat relieved when he saw her like this.

Then, the surgery began.

Just as they were about to administer the anesthetic, Natalie asked, "Can you tell me whose corneas are being used?"

At her words, Clyde subconsciously glanced in Cedric's direction, and Cedric was also looking at him!

The two men locked eyes, sparks of tension and resignation flying between them.

Finally, Clyde looked away. "I don't know. They were donated."

"And the person?"

"Deceased."

Natalie fell silent, and Cedric said nothing.

Clyde's straightforward answer indicated his unwillingness to dwell on the issue any further, so what else was there to argue about now?

Perhaps this was the best resolution for all of them!

At that moment, Cedric and Clyde felt Natalie relax upon hearing about the deceased donor.

After the anesthetic was administered and right before Natalie lost consciousness, Clyde suddenly asked, "Nat, if Cedric had offered you his eyes from the start, would you have accepted them?"

The atmosphere in the entire operating room froze at that moment.

Cedric looked at Natalie, his eyes filled with endless pain.

Natalie was taken aback by the question. However, her consciousness was fading, and she didn't answer the question in the end! novelbin But Cedric knew she wouldn't have accepted them. Even if he had proposed such a solution earlier, she wouldn't have accepted them, even if it meant she would stay blind for life.

She resented him so deeply, so how could she allow herself to be tainted by a part of him?

Natalie's temperament had reached such a level after many years! Even though she had once been nothing but Blair's shadow, Cedric understood her completely.

What Natalie didn't know was that, in the end, she wasn't just Blair's shadow anymore. In fact, many times, Blair… was the one who walked in Natalie's shadow.

For both Cedric and Irwin, there had probably been earth-shattering changes deep in their hearts!

Yes!

That must be the case.

The surgery ended. Two people had entered the operating room together but came out separately… Then, they were wheeled away in different directions. Just like their paths in life! They had completely diverged, heading toward opposite ends! There would be no more entanglement between them, nor would they see each other again! They had completely moved on to different ends. - Lydia and Xyla were not involved in the surgery, so they were unaware of what had transpired. They quietly stood by Natalie's side. Clyde was there from the start to the end. Since he arrived, he had deliberately kept Irwin away from Natalie most of the time. Despite knowing Irwin's intentions, Clyde had spent many years in Wexford and had only one belief: Irwin was a dangerous man. Both Irwin and Cedric were dangerous individuals, and their existence was anything but simple. So, keeping a distance from them was for the best! In the hospital corridor, Clyde offered Irwin a cigarette. Irwin replied, "We're in a hospital. I don't smoke here." Clyde froze. Eventually, he put the cigarette back into the pack. Clasping his hands together, Clyde spoke with a deep, somewhat forceful tone, "Once she's better, you two should get a divorce." Irwin fell silent. At his words, Irwin's mind went blank! He looked at Clyde, and his eyes surged with uncontrollable emotions at that moment. Clyde met his gaze, his tone almost bloodthirsty as he said, "Do you think just because Cedric's gone, she's yours?" Each word dripped with icy sarcasm. In truth, Clyde hadn't arrived at this conclusion until now, not even last night. But why was it different now? Was it because of the surgery? There was so much blood…! After the anesthetic wore off, Natalie would have to endure endless pain. Pain she wasn't supposed to bear, pain that shouldn't exist in her world. But what was the reason she needed to endure it? It was because of Irwin… and Cedric! "You…" Irwin started. "Don't have the right to say this?" Clyde's lips curled into a smile. That smile was cold, ironic, yet filled with unwavering resolve. In Natalie's world, there was indeed an insurmountable barrier. At this moment, Irwin felt it more acutely than ever. Natalie wasn't alone anymore. She truly wasn't alone anymore. Once, in Cedric's world, she was alone! Cedric was the only person in her life, so whatever Cedric said was law. Whatever Cedric wanted, he got. But not anymore! She now had more family and more people to protect her. Now, no one, whoever they were, could easily harm her. Irwin took several deep breaths but couldn't suppress the heaviness in his heart. "The Entes family now…" "They're going through a critical period now!" Clyde's words cut through sharply once again. At that moment, Irwin didn't know what to say. Indeed. Everything Clyde said was true. They knew everything! Before Irwin could speak, Clyde continued, "Though it's the Entes family, our family will be able to protect one person." Irwin fell silent. Yes! Previously, Irwin's marriage to Natalie had been a show of strength. He had done it hastily to give Natalie some peaceful days, hoping to shield her from the current turmoil in the Entes family. But the Jarvis family's protection was Natalie's fundamental support. "And don't try to use me to threaten her. Both of you have threatened her far too much." Irwin remained silent. Once again, he was rendered speechless! Clyde seemed to have penetrating eyes, sharp enough to see through people's minds. Nobody could escape his gaze. Such eyes were too sharp. Irwin had never felt like this before. For years, he had never felt this exposed! As Clyde turned to enter the ward, Irwin couldn't hold back any longer. He exclaimed, "I won't!" Clyde halted in his steps. His gaze was piercing as he looked at Irwin, and Irwin's eyes met his with newfound resolve.

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 666-"I won't let go of her hand. I won't leave her side!" Irwin said, each word simple yet resolute.

Clyde raised an eyebrow. Hearing Irwin's strong words felt almost like a joke to him.

The next moment, Clyde retorted, "If you want to keep her, it depends on whether you have what it takes!"

Clyde's words were meaningful, and no one knew Irwin's thoughts after hearing them. Clyde then entered the room, leaving Irwin alone in the corridor.

Irwin's eyes shimmered with an unprecedented determination.

Too much!

He had inflicted too much pain on Natalie. This time, he just wanted to do everything to stay by her side.

When Dylan approached Irwin, he couldn't help but feel a pang of empathy seeing the desolation in the man's silhouette.

Even as a man, Dylan's heart tightened at that moment.

"Sir." Dylan stepped forward, bringing Irwin's attention back.

"Did he leave?" Irwin asked.

"Yes."

"Where did he go?"

"Well…"

What could Dylan say? His tone was heavy, and Irwin understood that Cedric was really gone.

Irwin had received word beforehand that Cedric had evacuated all of his people from Wexford. Kayla had also been taken away.

Cedric had truly left Wexford. No one knew where he was headed. He had left Natalie's world completely clean of his traces. His departure felt suffocating and painful.

After a long pause, Irwin's voice tightened as he said, "It's better that he's gone!"

The departure of one person was agonizing, but the pain for those left behind was even greater.

Why did Cedric leave at this moment?

Undoubtedly, he didn't want anyone to see him in such a sorry state in the darkness.

MoornAzhilo lrAzir> AZZ-II ilrl c+oz kz Mo+olio'c cirla The future seemed… even more uncertain now! - It hurt… It really hurt!

After the anesthetic wore off, Natalie endured endless tears.

"Miss, the doctor said you could have some soup."

"No need!" Natalie trembled, and her body was soaked with sweat.

When Clyde entered, he saw Natalie enduring the pain. He furrowed his brows and approached her. novelbin "Cly, it hurts."

"I'll go find the doctor to give you a painkiller injection."

"It's fine!"

"You…"

"Too many injections aren't good either!" Natalie had already received one earlier in the morning.

Perhaps she had used too many painkillers before, so the pain persisted even after the injection. She didn't want to use more painkillers. It wasn't good for her body.

So, she chose to endure it. But enduring it wasn't pleasant, especially for those around her witnessing her pain.

"Are you sure?" Clyde frowned.

"Yes, I'm sure!"

"Then have some soup. You need to eat something."

"I don't want to eat."

The pain was intense, and cold sweat beaded on her forehead.

Natalie had always been afraid of pain.

When was the last time she was in this much pain?

It was after the big fire at the detention center. She couldn't even use anesthetic in order to preserve her unborn child. She endured that kind of pain, never imagining she would have to bear such agony again.

That was also why she was reluctant to undergo surgery. During the operation, there was an anesthetic to numb everything. But once the anesthetic wore off, the pain she would have to endure would be almost unbearable.

"I'll call the doctor," Clyde said.

Natalie was visibly enduring endless agony. Even her family couldn't bear seeing her suffer so much, so the doctor was quickly summoned. She had already received an injection in the morning, so now only painkillers pills could be used.

When Natalie swallowed the pill, she could hardly taste its bitterness. Perhaps the medicines she had taken in Yuloria were too bitter, so now she truly couldn't feel even a hint of bitterness.

Ten minutes later, Clyde looked at Natalie and asked, "Feeling any better now?" "It still hurts " Natalie renlied She truly felt no relief. Perhaps she had developed a high tolerance due to previous medication overuse, so the painkillers had no effect on her.

"I'll ask the doctor again," Clyde said.

What kind of crappy painkiller did the doctor give her? Why was she still in pain?

"No need," Natalie stopped him, grabbing his sleeve as he got up.

"You…?"

"My pain receptors must be too sensitive. It's not the doctor's fault or the medicine's," Natalie explained.

Clyde was at a loss for words. Natalie always considered others' feelings, but what about herself? She bore so much pain alone, which made him feel even more sorry for her.

"I'm going for a smoke," Clyde said.

"You're not allowed to look for the doctor, okay?!"

"I got it," Clyde replied, slightly irritated.

What could he say to her in such a situation?

At this point in time, she was still…!

As he left the ward, he saw Irwin leaning against the corridor. He had undoubtedly heard the conversation between Clyde and Natalie just now.

Both of them made their way to the rooftop.

Click! Click!

Clyde lit a cigarette in frustration and asked, "You heard everything just now?"

Irwin remained silent, acknowledging that he indeed heard it all.

"She shouldn't have to endure this pain," Clyde said with restrained frustration evident in his tone.

Even in his restraint, his anger was palpable.

Clyde was right. Natalie shouldn't have to endure this pain. Whether it was the fire or the surgery, it was all related to him and Cedric.

Only when seeing Natalie in such agony could Irwin truly understand that neither he nor Cedric deserved forgiveness.

"Yes, you're right," Irwin finally spoke after a pause, his tone filled with bitter pain.

Clyde was right. Natalie shouldn't have to endure this pain. Yet, it surrounded her, haunting her relentlessly.

"Just like him, don't appear in her life anymore," Clyde said.

Clearly, Clyde knew Cedric had left. After coming out of the operating room, Cedric was escorted by the medical team Kyle had arranged for and left the hospital.

He had left Natalie's world entirely.

Irwin had witnessed Natalie's suffering firsthand. Now, Clyde was also telling him to leave.

How could he?

"Do you know what he said when he decided to give Natalie his corneas?" Irwin asked, restraining his emotions as he looked at Clyde.

"It's none of our concern," Clyde replied curtly.

Irwin fell silent.

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 667-What kind of existence were Irwin and Cedric to the Jarvis family?

A heartbreaking one—especially in Clyde's view.

After witnessing Natalie endure so much pain, Clyde wished they would never appear in her world again.

So, who cared what Irwin and Cedric were like, and what had they endured?

It didn't matter!

If Clyde had his way, neither Irwin nor Cedric would ever set foot in Natalie's world again.

However, at this moment…

Irwin said, "He said there's no hope between him and Natalie. He said there was… no way out for them!"

When Irwin had heard Cedric's words, he sensed endless despair in his speech.

Yes, Cedric's despair!

What could have driven a man to such a point?

"At least he knows it very well," Clyde said sharply.

Irwin chuckled bitterly.

The laugh was bitter and painful.

"You really are her brother," he said to Clyde.

From how Clyde reacted, it was clear that he and Natalie were siblings. They were emotionally indifferent to a similar extent.

Clyde took a harsh drag on his cigarette as Irwin continued, "He said he can't let go of her, nor can he rest assured about her! No one will sincerely care for her anymore."

This was about emotions between a man and a woman.

Natalie was the Jarvis family's lady, and no one would genuinely care for her anymore. Those who approached her would do so only because of the Jarvis family.

"You think too highly of yourselves. She might have had a better life without the two of you," Clyde said pointedly.

Irwin fell silent.

Her life might have been better without them?

Perhaps that was true!

However, until things improved, they couldn't afford to let anything go wrong in Natalie's life.

She had endured enough. It was time for her suffering to end.

"Maybe you're right. But until then, refrain from saying such things!" Irwin retorted. novelbin "You…" Clyde glared, instantly furious.

In the end, Clyde threw the cigarette butt fiercely on the ground and left! His icy silhouette exuded endless danger.

Clearly, if Irwin failed Natalie again…

Well, that would depend on whether Clyde allowed him to approach her at all in the first place.

Natalie truly had a good brother!

It was evident that Clyde cared deeply for the Jarvis family, for her, and for this bond. - The wind on the rooftop was strong!

Irwin stood there for a long time, lost in thought. Natalie's suffering in the hospital room haunted his mind.

He hadn't expected that even the painkillers would have no effect on her, indicating the severity of her suffering. And this pain would continue for a long time, tormenting him inside.

"Nat," he murmured softly. An unprecedented sense of helplessness consumed him.

If only he could bear Natalie's pain for her…!

But he couldn't!

He just couldn't!

Dylan approached him. "Sir."

"What is it?"

"We need to go back to Wexford," Dylan said gravely.

Cedric had left everything to Irwin, and now Cedric was gone. There was no need for Dylan to explain the situation in Wexford right now.

Irwin sighed. "She…"

Dylan was afraid Irwin would refuse, so he quickly continued, "Mr. Yarbrough is here for her. You can rest assured that nothing will happen while he's here."

In the past, Irwin had donned a cold armor after Blair left. Over the years, beneath his seemingly rational exterior, he was actually quite irrational.

And now, that armor was gone.

He had completely fallen in love, and his demeanor was even more helpless to witness.

Finally, Irwin said, "Okay."

Dylan breathed a sigh of relief at his words. Only God knew what would happen if Irwin didn't return to Wexford now.

Meanwhile, Natalie's phone was ringing off the hook. However, since the surgery, her phone had been on silent. Neither Lydia nor Xyla noticed anything, as their minds were entirely focused on Natalie.

So, no matter how many calls came through, Natalie never answered.

• Wexford was in complete chaos. Cedric's departure had caused a stir throughout the city. Meanwhile, Bianca and the Jarvis family received the news of what had happened. Bianca sighed as she saw the message, patting the kitten in her arms. She sighed again. At this moment, she had no idea what to say. No one knew what these past three months had been like for anyone who knew Cedric. Their hearts were on edge at all times. Despite being very dissatisfied with the man, no one had ever imagined he would do this. Yet, for Natalie's sake, he had reached this point. It was something no one had anticipated. When Yvette came in, she saw Bianca put her phone down with a serious expression. Yvette had completely severed ties with Alto now. Yet, Irene and Zane were still together. "Is it confirmed?" Yvette asked. Bianca snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Yvette. Her gaze was deep. Undoubtedly, it was because of the information about Frederick…! When Bianca was in Yuloria, she received news that Malcolm might have gotten his hands on Frederick. Because of that, she rushed back to Simeria immediately. However, the information was uncertain. Zane had advised her not to probe further. Malcolm was now a madman. Plus, whether it was Faye or Jade, they were no longer around. So, at this moment, Malcolm was absolutely unrestrained. Anyone who approached him could trigger terrifying consequences and face dreadful consequences. Yet, Yvette repeatedly urged Bianca to confirm the information about Frederick?! "Yvette, you should understand what my return to Simeria means now." Bianca's tone was deep and sharp. "What do you mean?" Yvette asked. At Bianca's words, her expression changed! Bianca's lips curved into a smile. It was a smile that looked increasingly icy and sharp—a sharpness that made people's hearts tighten even more. "You…!" Yvette wanted to say something, but she couldn't find the words at that moment. Bianca was too mysterious—especially her eyes! They always gave people an extremely profound feeling. They made people strive to see clearly, yet none had ever succeeded. "Are you really willing to let Irene stay by his side?" Bianca raised an eyebrow. The smile on her lips was even more meaningful. It gave off the implication that Bianca seemed to have seen through everything. Yvette's already tense heart felt even more powerless and pale when she heard Bianca's words! "Yvette, let me remind you… You ended everything you had in your hands, but that doesn't mean you'll have a new beginning!"

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 668-Bianca's words were profound and icy.

Yvette's complexion was already bad, and it turned even paler at Bianca's words. Anyone who knew about Yvette's past knew what kind of feelings she harbored towards Zane.

Whether in the past or during the years she spent with Alto, Yvette had always been dissatisfied with how things had turned out.

That kind of dissatisfaction…!

It caused a suffocating sensation in Yvette's chest whenever she thought about it!

Bianca's statement about how Yvette had ended everything echoed fiercely in her mind, tearing at her rationality.

Bianca was right.

It didn't matter that Yvette had ended things. It wouldn't lead to a new beginning.

But Yvette couldn't accept it.

Back then, she and Zane had been doing fine. They had been about to get married!

So, why had those things happened?

And why did she have to bear it all?

She didn't want to! No matter what, it shouldn't be her burden!

"Whether Frederick is in Malcolm's hands or not… You know in your heart, don't you?"

At this moment… Hah!

Yvette had always wanted Bianca to stay away from Zane, but she suddenly asked Bianca to return because of Frederick.

Why?

Because Irene and Zane were too close, and Yvette… felt more agitated than when Bianca was around.

Bianca looked at Yvette's pale face, and her smile widened. She said, "After so many years in the novelbin Entes family, you've finally learned how to do it."

Learned how to do what?

Learned how to scheme within the family, of course!

And these schemes…!

Yvette clenched her fists tightly.

"Scheming and acting!"

Bianca's tone was profound.

People said caring for something tended to bring more trouble, and excessive attention to a matter could create more problems than solutions.

They were probably right.

When Bianca didn't have feelings for Zane, she was extremely sharp. Whatever was in front of her, she could see through it at a glance.

However, recent events had left her… confused!

It was as if something had clouded her vision, and Bianca couldn't see clearly either.

Hadn't she suffered a huge loss because of that?

Now was a crucial time!

No matter what Zane was like, Bianca needed to let go completely from now on. She should set aside those feelings for the time being.

After getting through this period, they could talk about love again!

That was how Bianca was…!

She could pick up and put down feelings at will! When she was rational, she could be carefree. She adapted quickly and was rarely distressed.

No matter what tricks someone played, they'd end up in a mess before her as long as she remained rational!

"You…!"

After Bianca pointed out everything, Yvette paled further and trembled uncontrollably.

When Bianca looked at Yvette, her smile disappeared, replaced by endless coldness and sharpness.

Bianca said slowly, "Go back! Stop playing such petty tricks."

"The two of you can never return to the past. Why change yourself entirely before him until he doesn't recognize you at all?"

Changed herself entirely?

Those words struck Yvette's heart.

Was that what it looked like she had done?

When she had seen Bianca previously, Yvette seemed like she would do and give up anything for Zane's sake.

However, that was only on the surface.

There was nothing more than that.

Yvette said, "Bianca, even if things between me and Zane are impossible, it's the same for you and him!"

"I don't think that's the issue we're discussing now, right?"

Was the issue now about who could be with whom? What was the key issue now?

"Yvette, even your family doesn't support you being with him. You should respect yourself even more!"

Respect herself?

Just now, it was about changing entirely!

And now, it was about self-respect?!

Bianca's every word was so biting. What exactly did Bianca have for her to stand in such a high position so confidently?

Yvette's face turned pale!

No one knew how suffocating Bianca's words were at this moment, especially when she mentioned how Yvette's family didn't support her!

It made Yvette feel profoundly isolated, as if she were the only one left in the world.

Such a feeling was truly uncomfortable, but it seemed there was nothing else she could do besides enduring it!

Did it hurt? Was it suffocating?

Of course!

Right now, Yvette was drowning in these feelings.

She stood up and looked fiercely at Bianca. "What right do you have to judge me? You're no different.

Do you think you're so noble in their hearts?"

"My nobility doesn't depend on their impressions!" Bianca retorted sharply.

Yvette originally intended to mock Bianca further, but the words were stuck in her throat.

In the end, the only one feeling choked and panicked was herself!

After her trip to Yuloria, Bianca seemed to have changed, or perhaps… she had changed after she had gone to Lotus Villa.

She had become sharper, and… no matter what she saw, she could see the deepest depths clearly.

In a sorry state, Yvette left.

That was how Bianca was!

She always made sure she was never embarrassed at her workplace. As long as she wasn't, the one who would be embarrassed would always be someone else.

No matter when, she could preserve her dignity by maintaining a high level of rationality.

Now she understood this.

This had nothing to do with love!

What she wanted was only to maintain her dignity endlessly.

When Zane returned, he heard that Yvette had visited again. His brows furrowed tightly, and he took the kitten from Bianca's arms, gently rubbing its tiny head.

The little creature seemed to know that Zane was the one who picked it up, so it behaved even more obediently in his arms.

"It's grown a lot."

"Yeah, it looks much healthier," Bianca remarked.

She genuinely liked such little kittens. She loved the fluffy feeling when she held it in her arms!

"She came over?" Zane asked.

Bianca fell silent. At the words, she stiffened! A complicated glint flashed in her eyes. She wanted to say something but ultimately decided not to.

"Do you want to say something?" Zane asked.

"No."

"What did she say?"

He was obviously referring to Yvette!

"What do you think she would say?" Bianca countered in a grave tone.

Zane turned to look at her. His gaze was not just deep. It was profound like the sea and impossible to discern.

For a long time, they simply stared at each other in silence.

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 669-After a while, Zane said, "From now on, don't go to the Jarvis family again."

He was talking about what she had done two days ago!

When Zane suddenly disappeared, Bianca panicked!

So, she hastily went to the Jarvis family because they were Natalie's parents.

At that time, the only ones she could rely on and help her were the Jarvis family!

Unexpectedly, Zane came back after that.

"In the end, you still don't want to involve the Jarvis family," Bianca said.

"They won't be involved." Zane's words were calm and rational, and what he said was true.

What kind of existence was Stephen in Simeria?

He was like an old fox!

If he was going to be involved in the Entes family, he would have done it long ago. Why would he wait until now?

So even if Bianca had gone to meet Stephen, he ultimately wouldn't have gotten involved if he didn't want to.

"It's good that you're back," Bianca said after a while.

After Zane came back, Bianca had actually asked where he went. However, he never answered.

But his return also brought back Bianca's rationality!

So, she was calmer now.

In Simeria, especially in the Entes family, anything could happen at any time. And the only thing those involved could do was to keep calm and analyze the situation carefully!

"Zane."

"Yeah?"

Bianca thought for a moment and said to Zane, "Leave some people with me, okay?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Zane's brows furrowed. When he looked at Bianca, his gaze seemed even more profound.

Bianca said, "I don't want what happened two days ago to happen again.

That was right!

Two days ago…

What could she do at that time?

Nothing! She didn't want to encounter such a situation again, ever…!

No matter what difficulties occurred in her world, Bianca had never felt like that before. When that had happened, she was truly afraid.

Never again did she want to experience such a moment.

"Okay!" Zane nodded calmly.

At that moment, Bianca also breathed a sigh of relief. As long as there were usable people around her, nothing else mattered!

And Zane also realized that Bianca wanted to stay in Simeria.

It's impossible to send her abroad now! So, it was also good to leave some people by her side.

As Bianca listened to Zane's agreement, she smiled.

It was a smile that looked so pure!

Then, she asked, "Does what happened in Wexford affect you?"

"It does, but not much."

"That's good." Bianca nodded.

During the time by Zane's side, she discovered what kind of existence Zane was.

So, she knew that there were many things that she didn't need to worry about anymore.

She now had more important things to do.

"You haven't told me what she said to you."

"Is that important?" Bianca looked at Zane and asked.

There was a flicker in the man's eyes for a second, but it instantly vanished! When that happened, the smile on Bianca's face became even more intense.

"Since it's not that important, you don't need to worry too much about it, hmm?" Bianca said.

Zane fell silent.

Not that important, huh?

Who said it wasn't important?

What exactly happened there?!

Zane sighed…! - When Heather saw the relevant reports, she sighed and said, "It seems it was just the final farewell."

Whether it was concerning Luna or Natalie, Cedric had actually intended to let go early on.

Stephen said, "Don't worry, Nat will be back soon. Cly said the surgery was very successful."

When Heather heard this, she felt somewhat comforted.

"Okay." Heather nodded, then said, "Dear!"

"Hmm?"

"He must have fully tasted it, right?"

Heather was referring to the pain that Cedric had once inflicted on Natalie.

This time, he must have experienced the same despair Natalie had endured… especially when Luna looked at him with those eyes!

At that moment, his heart must have been in turmoil, right?

Yes!

Heather was right. When Cedric saw Luna looking at him with such suspicion, his heart was more than just in turmoil!

There was also endless pain.

As Heather said, Cedric now fully tasted the agony of the pain he had inflicted on Natalie before this. novelbin However, Stephen frowned. "Are you happy?"

Happy?

Once…!

When Heather learned how much pain Natalie had suffered because of Cedric, she really wished she could tear Cedric to pieces.

However, when it really came to this moment, Heather was uneasy.

It was a painful and uncomfortable feeling.

That was human nature!

"It doesn't matter if I'm happy about it or not. For him and Nat to reach this point is the best outcome!"

That was right.

If it really ended here, it was actually the best outcome for them.

Stephen nodded.

He had to admit that it really was!

To continue the entanglement would be torture for both of them.

This was really the best ending for them.

Heather thought for a moment and said, "I just didn't expect him to make such a sacrifice for Nat and give everything to Irwin. He even let go of everything in Wexford."

In a man's world, what was truly important?!

Undoubtedly, it was power and status!

This time, Cedric had truly done it.

He had let go of everything for Natalie.

Even though he did that, Heather didn't feel relief about everything he had done. In her heart, it didn't matter that Cedric had done all of that.

No matter what he did, it wasn't enough to absolve his sins toward Natalie…!

Mistakes…!

A person shouldn't make such grave mistakes in their life.

When one truly made mistakes to that extent, the one who ultimately got hurt was oneself. No one would ever pay for their own mistakes…!

Cedric… had left.

He left Wexford forever, and nobody knew where he went.

He left Natalie's world.

He left everyone's world.

This departure was undoubtedly… heavy! - In the blink of an eye, half a month has passed in Yonwood City. Time ticked away, and the pain Natalie endured gradually faded.

Clyde fed Natalie some soup and said, "The doctor said they can remove it tomorrow."

"Okay."

"What's the first thing you want to do when you can see?" Clyde asked gently.

Natalie was silent.

What did she want to do the most?

Natalie had to admit that she really only considered this question after Clyde had asked her. Before this, she had never thought about it.

Irwin hadn't been around lately, and her mood had greatly improved. So, her recovery was also faster.

When Clyde asked her what she wanted to do, only one thing popped into her mind.

"I want to divorce him!"

A Divorce After My Rebirth Chapter 670-Natalie wanted to divorce Irwin!

Natalie knew why Irwin had chosen that critical moment to register their marriage in Yuloria.

However, she didn't want to accept Irwin's kindness.

To be exact, everything good about this man was accompanied by schemes, just like Cedric.

That was Natalie's opinion.

When did such thoughts start? It seemed that everything good Irwin did for her carried ulterior motives.

"Staying away from him would be best!"

Clyde smiled when he heard Natalie say she wanted to divorce Irwin the most.

His eyes were full of relief. But at the same time, there was also deep concern.

When Natalie said that, Clyde saw it as her wanting to protect herself.

And it seemed like overprotection.

After everything she had experienced with Cedric and Irwin, she was no longer willing to trust anyone except her own family.

It was as if anyone's kindness to her might have an ulterior motive!

In fact, Clyde had also pondered this question.

Why would Cedric allow Irwin to stay by Natalie's side once he was gone?

Cedric wouldn't have done it… unless there was absolutely no hope between him and Natalie.

It was as if Cedric expected that Natalie wouldn't open her heart at all to anyone except Irwin. He predicted that there would no longer be anyone sincere in Natalie's world, and she wouldn't be sincere to anyone else.

That was what was most frightening.

"Is it lunchtime now?" Natalie asked Clyde.

Fortunately, the surgery was over and successful. If it hadn't been, Clyde didn't know if he could bear it now.

Previously, whether in Yuloria or Evergreen Peak, Natalie could sense whether it was night or day from the atmosphere around her.

She could even sense the aura of the lights clearly.

And now…!

During the half month in this hospital, the most she could feel was the smell of disinfectant, which she didn't like very much because it disturbed her perception of the surroundings.

Plus, she had only been able to eat small portions during this time. All she had all day was soup. So, she couldn't perceive much from the food either!

"Yes, it's lunch," Clyde replied.

"Can I have something else tonight?" Natalie murmured.

She didn't know how long she had been eating this soup, and there was no taste in her mouth.

She couldn't stand it anymore.

"What you can eat depends on the situation tomorrow. Even if your vision recovers, you still need to avoid certain foods for a month," Clyde replied.

Natalie fell silent.

She simply didn't want to talk anymore.

Avoid certain foods for a month… what exactly did that mean?

"Do I have to drink soup for another month?"

When a person felt better, there was more expectation for food. Obviously, Natalie now has expectations.

However, when she heard that she could only eat soup, she felt a little uncomfortable.

Clyde smiled. "Probably light food and not just soup."

Natalie breathed a sigh of relief.

She looked cute somehow.

Heather has been calling almost every day, and Clyde knew about the situation in Wexford.

But during Natalie's recovery, he didn't mention a word to her about it.

And Natalie didn't ask about Irwin or Cedric either!

As long as they weren't there, she was indifferent. She went about her day as if she didn't know those people at all.

When Heather called again, she undoubtedly sounded nervous.

Clyde assured her, "Don't worry, she's doing well. The doctor checks her daily when changing the dressing, and there haven't been any issues so far."

At least for now, the doctor hadn't mentioned any problems.

"Hopefully, there won't be any!"

Heather was truly afraid. Issues with the eyes were usually serious problems, and they really couldn't afford such big problems right now.

So, everyone hoped fervently that there wouldn't be any issues at all.

"If everything goes well tomorrow, you'll be coming back, right?"

"Most likely, yes."

"That's good. I'll prepare some food for you."

Heather knew they probably hadn't been eating well during the surgery.

Clyde softened a bit at Heather's words.

"Okay."

His tone also sounded gentle.

When Heather heard his gentle tone, she was touched. Her eyes welled up with tears as she hung up the phone.

Clyde returned to Natalie's side.

"Was that Mom on the phone?"

Clyde looked at her and said, "Yeah. She's preparing food for you."

Natalie fell silent.

Thinking about the meals Heather made, her heart clenched painfully.

"What's wrong?" Clyde asked. novelbin "When I found out she was my aunt, she was really good to me," Natalie said, feeling somewhat touched.

So, people should remember and accumulate blessings in their life.

Back then, Heather didn't know anything. Yet, she treated Natalie like her own daughter!

Clyde paused for a moment. "She's a good person!"

"Yeah." Natalie nodded.

It was true that Heather was a good person.

Cedric never received a good reception from Heather because he had done so many things wrong to Natalie.

Otherwise, how could he have received such treatment from Heather?

"Are you scared about tomorrow?" Clyde looked at Natalie and held her hand.

Natalie said, "Of course, I'm scared!"

She was telling the truth. How could she not be scared, especially since Isabella had undergone similar surgery before, and it failed?

So, any surgical procedure like this was definitely not one hundred percent guaranteed. There was always the possibility of complications.

That was the scariest part.

If there was an accident, it would definitely be a big one.

"Don't worry, okay?"

"Yeah."

In the beginning, Natalie wasn't too worried. But as it got closer to the end, she became more nervous.

After all, this kind of surgery demanded precision.

If it fails this time…!

Natalie knew what would happen afterward!

The lifelong darkness was a result not everyone could bear. Even she might not be able to endure it.

Isabella was someone she despised.

Regardless, Natalie could almost feel how desperate Isabella was back then when the latter was trapped in the darkness.

When one had to wait… it didn't feel like torture initially. But as it neared the end, every minute and every second became agonizing.

Natalie hardly slept well that night.

The next day, the medical team arrived at the ward.

Natalie was tense.

"Relax a bit," Clyde said.

"Okay."

Even though Natalie said that, her heart clenched tightly when the doctor's cold fingers slowly unraveled the gauze from her eyes.

As the gauze was completely removed, she felt the cold air on her skin. There was also an empty sensation as if she had lost a layer of protection.

"Open your eyes."
