After the Divorce: Crushed on My Lawyer Ex-wife Chapter 181

#181 “I was Out of My Mind, You Know?”

As Sophia relaxed into Alexander’s embrace, a sense of comfort washed over her, enveloping her in a warmth that eased the tension in her body. She hugged him tightly, feeling the reassuring rhythm of his breath against her cheek as he gently ran his hands through her hair.

“I was out of my mind, you know? I love you so much,” Alexander whispered, his voice filled with sincerity and vulnerability.

Sophia’s heart swelled with affection at his words, her own love for him shining through in her response. “I love you too,” she murmured, snuggling closer to his chest. “Today has been such a crazy day.”

Alexander pulled back slightly, his gaze searching hers as he sought to understand her turmoil. “Why?” he asked, his brow furrowing with concern.

Sophia took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking. ”

Benjamin told me earlier that he loves me,” she confessed, her voice tinged with disbelief. “It completely caught me off guard. We’ve been friends since childhood, and I never expected him to feel that way about me.”

Sophia’s revelation about Benjamin’s confession left Alexander speechless. His shock was palpable as he struggled to process the news. His mind raced with conflicting emotions.

“He confessed to you?” Alexander asked, his voice tinged with incredulity.

Sophia nodded, her expression reflecting the confusion swirling within her. “Yes, he did. I didn’t know what to say, Alexander.”

Alexander tensed, he had to tell Sophia that Benjamin was her brother. However, he remained silent because he first wanted to know how she reacted to his confession.

“You rejected him, right?” he asked, his voice soft but firm.

Sophia nodded. “Of course, I did. I could never see him that way, Alexander. You know that,” she reassured him, her voice filled with conviction.

Alexander’s relief flooded through him like a cool breeze on a hot day, soothing his frayed nerves and easing the tension that had built up within him. Despite the chaos swirling around them, there was a sense of calm knowing that Sophia had stayed true to him, rejecting Benjamin’s advances without hesitation.

“I’m glad to hear that, Sophia,” he said, his voice infused with sincerity and warmth. “Because you’re mine, and I’m not giving you up to anyone.”

Sophia’s smile widened at his words, a flicker of amusement dancing in her eyes as she met his gaze. “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she replied, her voice filled with affection.

Alexander took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers as he gazed at her with adoration.

“Let’s forget about Benjamin,” she suggested a playful glint in her eyes. ” Come with me, I want to show you where I grew up.”

His heart soared at her invitation, and he nodded eagerly, a smile spreading across his face. “I’d love to,” he replied, his voice laced with excitement. “Lead the way, my love.”

Sophia guided Alexander through the winding corridors of her childhood home. Alexander decided he would tell her later when the situation was right and for now, he allowed himself to enjoy his time with her. 1

Each step seemed to evoke memories long forgotten, and with every turn, she shared snippets of her past with him. They paused at familiar landmarks – a weathered tree swing in the garden, a dusty bookshelf filled with childhood treasures-and laughed at the fond recollections they sparked.

Finally, they arrived at Sophia’s room. The room was a sanctuary, filled with mementos of her past and glimpses of her dreams for the future.

Turning to Alexander, Sophia’s eyes sparkled with unspoken sentiment. ” You know,” she began, “Since I’ve been here I really wanted you to be with me so I can share my past with you. ”

Alexander’s heart skipped a beat at her words, his gaze locked with hers in a silent exchange of understanding and affection. Without a word, he reached out and gently cupped her cheek, his touch tender and full of love.

“Sophia, sometimes I think I can’t love you more than this, but then you say something like that and I fall in love all over again.”

Feeling the electricity crackling in the air, Sophia turned sharply to Alexander. Without a word, she closed the distance between them and pressed her lips against his, her kiss a fervent declaration of her love.

At that moment, time seemed to stand still as they melted into each other, their bodies entwined in a passionate embrace. With each lingering touch, they poured their souls into the kiss, their love igniting like wildfire in the darkness.

As their lips parted, Sophia gazed into Alexander’s eyes, her breath coming in ragged gasps.

“Stay with me for the night,” she whispered, her eyes pleading with him to stay.

“Of course,” Alexander replied softly, his voice filled with warmth and reassurance. Sophia led Alexander to her bed, her heart pounding with anticipation. But as they settled in, the weight of reality came crashing down on them.

“Sophia, there is something I need to tell you,” Alexander began, his voice serious and somber.

“Yes?” Sophia replied, her curiosity piqued as she turned to face him.

“My father is back, and I have some bad news. I found out some things…”

“Alex, I also found something that is very bad,” Sophia interjected. “I managed to find documents that incriminate our grandfathers.”

Alexander’s brows furrowed in concern as he processed Sophia’s words.

“Enough with our peaceful evening,” Alexander sighed, his tone heavy with resignation. “Show me…”

#182 “Stay back!”

Sophia had led Alexander to her grandfather’s office, a place filled with memories and secrets. They sat on the floor, surrounded by stacks of documents that detailed their family’s tangled history. Alexander had pulled Sophia into his lap, unable to resist the magnetic pull of her presence. Despite the seriousness of their situation, he found himself lost in the warmth of her embrace.

As Sophia explained the significance of the documents, Alexander’s mind drifted, consumed by thoughts of Sophia and the intoxicating scent of her perfume. He knew he should be paying attention, that their discovery could have far-reaching consequences, but at that moment, all he could think about was her.

“Are you listening to me?” Sophia’s voice cut through his reverie, bringing him back to the present.

“Mmm,” he murmured absentmindedly, his gaze fixed on her.

“Alexander, this is important,” Sophia chided gently, though a smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

“Did I tell you that when you concentrate you wrinkle your nose? It’s awfully sweet,” he teased, his eyes sparkling with affection.

“If I kiss you, will you promise to concentrate too?” she asked playfully, her lips curving into a mischievous smile.

“You can try,” Alexander replied with a grin, unable to resist her playful charm.

Sophia turned to face him, her lips meeting his in a gentle, sweet kiss.

Alexander melted into her touch, his heart soaring with the intensity of their connection. He deepened the kiss, losing himself in the taste of her lips and the softness of her touch.

Sophia’s fingers tangled in his hair, sending shivers down his spine as he pulled her closer, craving more of her warmth and affection.

“Now tell me what you were explaining to me before I completely flipped out,” Alexander said, his voice laced with amusement as he reluctantly tore himself away from her embrace.

Sophia chuckled, her laughter like music to his ears, as she turned back to the documents, her fingers tracing the words on the page as she resumed her explanation.

“I was saying that these documents hold the key to unraveling our family’s secrets.”

Alexander leaned in closer to study the documents spread out before them.

Sophia’s expression grew serious. “It seems that our grandfathers were involved in some shady dealings with the mafia,” she explained, her voice tinged with concern. “There are mentions of clandestine transactions, hidden alliances, and secrets that could destroy everything they built.”

Alexander’s brow furrowed in concentration as he absorbed her words, his mind racing with the implications of their discovery. “So, if these documents were what the mafia wanted, it means they’re willing to go to great lengths to keep their secrets buried,” he mused, his voice heavy with realization.

Sophia nodded solemnly, her eyes locking with Alexander’s in a silent exchange of understanding. “Exactly,” she agreed, her voice soft but resolute. ” Which means we need to tread carefully from now on. We can’t afford to trust anyone but each other.”

Alexander reached out and gently took Sophia’s hand in his, his touch a reassuring anchor in the storm of uncertainty swirling around them. “I trust you, Sophia,” he said earnestly, his gaze unwavering as he met her eyes. “And no matter what happens, we’ll face it together.”

Sophia smiled, her heart swelling with gratitude for the unwavering support of the man she loved. “Together,” she echoed, her voice filled with determination. “Always.”

“This is big,” he murmured. “If these secrets were to get out, it could seriously damage our careers, especially Stone Enterprise. We need to figure out what to do next.”

Before he could say anything else, the door burst open, and Ben stumbled into the room, a stranger holding him at gunpoint. Sophia gasped in shock, her heart pounding in her chest as she took in the scene before her.

“Ben!” she exclaimed.

“Stay back, Sophia,” Ben warned, his eyes darting nervously between her and the stranger. “This guy wants the documents. He’s not messing around.”

“What do you want with those documents?” Sophia’s voice was steady.

“Just hand them over, sweetheart,” the stranger growled, his grip tightening on the gun. “And nobody has to get hurt.”

Alexander’s urgent plea snapped her out of her daze, his voice filled with concern as he urged her to comply with the gunman’s demands. “Sophia, do as he says. Please, we can’t risk anyone getting hurt.”

Sophia’s hands trembled as she reached for the documents, her fingers hesitating over the papers that held the secrets of her family’s past.

But before she could make a move, Ben made a fatal misstep, his sudden movement triggering a cascade of events that unfolded in a blur of chaos.

“Stay back!” the hitman shouted, his finger tightening on the trigger as Ben lunged forward in a desperate attempt to disarm him.

The sound of gunfire shattered the air, echoing through the room as the hitman’s bullet found its mark, striking Ben with deadly accuracy.

Time seemed to slow to a crawl as Sophia watched in horror, her breath catching in her throat as she witnessed the unthinkable unfold before her eyes.

In a desperate bid to save himself, the hitman snatched the documents from her grasp and fled into the night, leaving behind a trail of devastation in his wake.

As the reality of what had just transpired sunk in, Sophia felt a wave of anguish wash over her, her heart breaking at the sight of Ben lying wounded on the ground.

#183 “He Deserves to Know the Truth.”

In a whirlwind of panic and adrenaline, Alexander and Sophia bundled Ben into the car and raced to the hospital, their hearts pounding with fear and worry. The drive felt like an eternity, each passing moment filled with anxious anticipation as they prayed for Ben’s safety.

Upon arrival, they burst through the hospital doors, their faces etched with concern as they pleaded for help. Nurses and doctors sprang into action, wheeling Ben away on a stretcher as they assessed his injuries.

Sophia’s hands trembled as she signed the necessary paperwork, her mind a jumble of frantic thoughts. She couldn’t bear the thought of losing Ben, he was her childhood friend.

As they waited for news on Ben’s condition, time seemed to stretch on endlessly. Alexander paced the sterile corridors, his footsteps echoing in the empty hallways as he struggled to contain his anxiety. Alexander might not have liked Benjamin, but he would never want anything bad to happen to him.

Finally, a doctor emerged from the operating room with an update – Ben’s injuries were serious, but thankfully not life-threatening. Sophia breathed a sigh of relief, her shoulders slumping with exhaustion and relief.

With Ben stable for the time being, Sophia made the decision to stay by his side until he regained his strength. Alexander offered his support, knowing that Sophia needed him now more than ever.

As they settled into the uncomfortable hospital chairs, Alexander thought it was time to tell Sophia the truth about Benjamin.

“Sophia, there’s something I need to tell you,” he began, his voice hesitant as he braced himself for her reaction.

Sophia turned to him, her brow furrowed in confusion. “What is it, Alex? You look so serious,” she said, her voice tinged with concern.

Taking a deep breath, Alexander plunged ahead, his words tumbling out in a rush. “Sophia, Ben… he’s not just your childhood friend. He’s your half- brother.”

Sophia’s eyes widened in shock, her mind reeling with disbelief at Alexander’s revelation. “What?” she gasped, her voice barely above a whisper. “How is that possible?”

Alexander hesitated, his heart heavy with the weight of the truth he was about to reveal. “Your father… and Ben’s mother,” he explained, his voice faltering as he struggled to find the right words.

Sophia’s hand flew to her mouth, her eyes brimming with tears as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. “Oh my God,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. “I had no idea. Who told you that?”

“It was my mother,” Alexander admitted, his tone tinged with regret. ” She confided in me before everything unfolded.”

Sophia’s eyes widened in shock, her mind reeling with the revelation. “Your mother?” she repeated, her voice barely a whisper. “But why would she keep it a secret for so long?”

Alexander’s gaze softened with understanding as he considered Sophia’s question. “I think she wanted to shield us from the pain and turmoil that revealing such a truth might cause, “he explained, his voice gentle as he reached for Sophia’s hand. “Perhaps she hoped that by keeping it hidden, she could protect our families from further harm.”

Sophia’s brows furrowed with concern, her heart heavy with the weight of the revelation. “But keeping something like this a secret… it only breeds more pain and confusion,” she murmured, her voice tinged with sadness. “I wish she had trusted us enough to tell us sooner.”

Alexander squeezed her hand reassuringly, offering her a small smile of comfort. “I know, Sophia. But she did what she thought was best at the time,” he said softly, his tone filled with understanding.

“Sophia, I think we need to tell Ben the truth,” he suggested, his tone gentle but firm.

Sophia shook her head, her eyes clouded with worry. “No, Alex, we can’t, ” she said, her voice trembling with uncertainty. “Not now, not while he’s still recovering. It would be too much for him to handle.”

Alexander sighed, knowing she was right. “Okay, we’ll wait,” he agreed, his voice tinged with resignation. “But we can’t keep this from him forever, Sophia. He deserves to know the truth.”

Sophia nodded, her shoulders sagging with the weight of their secret. “I know, ” she whispered, her voice barely audible above the hum of the hospital machinery. “But for now, let’s focus on helping him get better.”

“Okay, Sophia,” Alexander said. “I think we should go home and get some sleep.”

“But what if Benjamin wakes up?” Sophia asked, her brows furrowing with worry.

“I’ll call someone to take care of him. You need to rest, and there’s no point in sitting here,” Alexander reassured her, his tone gentle yet firm. “He’s out of danger now. I’ll be more useful if you’re rested.”

Sophia hesitated for a moment, torn between her desire to stay by Benjamin’s side and her need for rest. Finally, she nodded in agreement, knowing that Alexander was right. ” Okay, let’s go,” she said, her voice resigned yet determined.

As they made their way out of the hospital, Sophia couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt that gnawed at her insides. She knew they couldn’t keep the truth from Benjamin forever, but for now, she pushed those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the present moment and the task at hand: getting some much-needed rest before facing whatever challenges tomorrow might bring.

#184 “Damn you, Alexander.”

When Ben finally stirred awake from the haze of anesthesia, the first thing he noticed was the absence of Sophia by his side. Confusion clouded his mind as he glanced around the hospital room, searching for any sign of her presence. Instead, he found himself face to face with a stranger-a caregiver hired by Alexander to tend to his needs.

“Where’s Sophia?” Ben’s voice came out hoarse, his throat dry from the effects of the anesthesia.

The caregiver, a middle-aged woman with kind eyes, approached him with a sympathetic smile. “She had to step out for a bit, but don’t worry, dear. I’m here to take care of you,” she reassured him, her voice gentle and soothing.

Ben’s brows furrowed in frustration and resentment. He couldn’t understand why Sophia would leave him alone in his time of need. Anger bubbled up inside him as he struggled to make sense of the situation. He remembered seeing Alexander with her the night he was shot and decided that he was behind Sophia’s absence.

As Benjamin’s frustration grew, he decided to take matters into his own hands. With his phone in hand, he dialed Alexander’s number, his fingers trembling with anger as he waited for him to pick up.

“Alexander,” Benjamin’s voice was sharp and accusatory as soon as the call connected. “What the hell did you do?”

Alexander, caught off guard by the sudden confrontation, took a moment to compose himself before responding. “Benjamin, what are you talking about? “he replied, feigning innocence.

“Don’t play dumb with me,” Benjamin snapped, his anger boiling over. “You know exactly what I’m talking about. You kept Sophia from coming to see me at the hospital. Why would you do that?

Alexander feigned innocence, his tone dripping with faux concern. “Sophia? Last I heard, she was taking a much- needed break,” he replied casually, though there was a smug undertone in his voice that grated on Benjamin’s nerves.

“You know damn well that you’re behind this,” Benjamin snapped, his patience wearing thin. “You’re trying to keep her away from me.”

A knowing chuckle escaped Alexander’s lips, confirming Benjamin’s suspicions. “Oh, Ben, always jumping to conclusions,” he retorted, his voice oozing with condescension. “I’m just looking out for her well-being, unlike some people.”

Benjamin’s blood boiled at Alexander’s arrogant demeanor. “You’re just doing this out of spite,” he accused, his voice trembling with anger. “You can’t stand the thought of her being with anyone else.”

There was a moment of silence on the line before Alexander spoke again, his tone dripping with smug satisfaction. ” Believe what you want, Ben,” he replied dismissively. “But Sophia’s well-being is my priority, not your selfish desires.”

With that, he ended the call, leaving Benjamin seething with frustration and resentment.

As Alexander ended the call with Benjamin, Sophia’s curious gaze fell upon him, her brow furrowed with concern. “Who was that, Alexander?” she inquired.

“It was Benjamin,” he admitted.

Sophia’s eyes widened in surprise, her concern deepening at the mention of Benjamin’s name. “Benjamin? How is he?” she asked, her voice laced with worry.

“He’s awake,” Alexander replied, his tone solemn as he met Sophia’s gaze. ” But I’m not sure if he’s in the best state to receive visitors.”

Sophia’s brow furrowed. “We should go see him, Alexander,” she insisted, her voice firm with determination. “He needs us.”

Alexander hesitated for a moment, weighing Sophia’s request against his own reservations. Despite his lingering resentment towards Benjamin, he couldn’t deny Sophia’s concern for her friend. With a resigned sigh, he nodded in agreement. “Alright, Sophia. Let’s go see him,” he relented, his voice tinged with reluctant acquiescence.

As they arrived at the hospital, Alexander held Sophia’s hand possessively, his protective instinct kicking in as they made their way to Benjamin’s room. Sophia glanced up at him, her expression softened by his touch, but she couldn’t shake off the unease brewing within her.

Upon entering the room, Sophia’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of Benjamin lying in the hospital bed, his expression tense and guarded. She approached him tentatively, her concern evident in her eyes as she asked him how he was feeling.

Benjamin forced a weak smile, trying to mask his frustration and discomfort. ” I’m fine, Sophia. Just glad to be awake, “he replied, his voice strained with the effort.

Sophia lingered beside Benjamin’s bed, her heart heavy with worry as she gazed at him, searching his eyes for any sign of comfort. “Benjamin, I want you to know that I’m here for you,” she said softly, her voice filled with genuine concern. “If you need anything, anything at all, just let me know.”

Benjamin managed a weak smile, though his eyes betrayed the turmoil within. “Thanks, Sophia. I appreciate it, “he replied, his tone tinged with gratitude despite the bitterness festering in his heart.

Before their conversation could deepen, Alexander’s voice cut through the tension like a sharp blade, his suggestion piercing the air.

“I think it’s best if we let Benjamin rest for now. He needs time to recover,” he said, his tone firm yet tinged with understanding.

Sophia hesitated, her gaze torn between her concern for Benjamin and Alexander’s insistence on giving him space.

“But I don’t want to leave him alone. What if he needs something?” she countered, her voice laced with worry.

Alexander’s touch was reassuring as he placed a hand on her shoulder, his gaze steady.

“I’ve arranged for a caregiver to look after him. He’ll be in good hands,”

Reluctantly, Sophia nodded, her eyes flickering with uncertainty as she cast one last worried glance at Benjamin lying in the hospital bed. With a heavy sigh, she followed Alexander out of the room, the weight of guilt settling in her chest like a stone.

As they made their way down the hospital corridor, Sophia’s mind buzzed with thoughts of Benjamin’s well-being, her heart heavy with the burden of responsibility.

“I hope he’ll be okay,” she murmured to herself, her words lost in the quiet hum of the hospital.

Meanwhile, Benjamin’s anger smoldered just beneath the surface as he watched Sophia leave with Alexander, his resentment burning bright in the dim hospital room.

“Damn you, Alexander,” he muttered under his breath. “You won’t keep her from me.”

After the Divorce: Crushed on My Lawyer Ex-wife Chapter 185

#185 “Because I Already Have You.”

Sophia and Alexander returned to the house, the weight of their newly discovered family secrets lingering in the air. For the past few days, Sophia had been sharing stories of her childhood with Alexander, but there was one part of the house she had yet to show him.

“Now that our careers are in jeopardy, I want to show you something,” Sophia said, her tone filled with determination.

“What is it, love?” Alexander asked, curiosity piqued.

“When I was little, there was a place where no matter how hard things got there, I always managed to figure out how to cope,” she told him.

Sophia took his hand and led him up the stairs, her steps purposeful as she guided him towards the attic.

Alexander followed with a smile, intrigued by Sophia’s mysterious revelation.

As they entered the attic, Alexander’s initial impression was that it was just a storage space, cluttered with boxes and covered in sheets to protect its contents.

“The ceiling?” Alexander exclaimed in astonishment. “Is this where you get your inspiration?”

Sophia chuckled and shook her head. ” My grandfather always taught me not to judge a book by its cover. You should remember that too,” she replied, her eyes twinkling mischievously.

Behind a tall tower of cartons, Sophia revealed a hidden door. With a gentle pull of the handle, they stepped into a small, beautiful room adorned with shelves full of books. A triangular window bathed the space in soft light, illuminating a cozy couch nestled beneath it.

In one corner, a desk stood surrounded by posters of famous personalities from Sophia’s teenage years, interspersed with photos of her and her friends.

Alexander’s eyes widened in amazement as he scanned the photographs, each one offering a glimpse into a different facet of Sophia’s past. He couldn’t help but marvel at the sight of Sophia dressed in all black, her hair dyed red and adorned with numerous fake tattoos.

“I told you I was a rebel,” Sophia laughed, her voice tinged with nostalgia.

“You never cease to amaze me,” Alexander remarked, his admiration evident in his gaze.

Sophia handed him another photograph, this time of her at a concert, clad in chains with her hair dyed black.

“Or this one,” she said, handing him yet another picture, each one a testament to her vibrant spirit and adventurous nature.

“I think this is a good place to start deciding what we’re going to do when this information reaches the media,” Sophia begins, her voice laced with concern.

“Maybe not…” Alexander trails off, uncertainty coloring his tone.

Sophia furrows her brows. “Oh, that’s enough, Alexander. Your father wants revenge, and we can’t hope that he will show mercy. We have to be prepared.”

Alexander nods in reluctant agreement, acknowledging the gravity of their situation.

“If I’m being honest… I’m not as worried as I should be about what’s going to happen,” Alexander confesses, his gaze locked with Sophia’s.

“And why not?” Sophia questions, curiosity piqued by Alexander’s seemingly calm demeanor.

“Because I already have you, and he can’t take that away from me. I’m sure if something goes wrong, we’ll find a way to handle it,” Alexander replies.

Sophia’s heart swells with love for him, reassured by his unwavering confidence. She smiles and wraps her arms gently around Alexander’s neck. ” Even if the world turns against us, as long as we are together, everything will be fine,” she confirms his words, her voice filled with conviction.

Just as they lean in for a kiss, Alexander’s phone rings, shattering the moment with its shrill tone. With a snarl of frustration, Alexander glances at the caller ID and sees that it’s Benjamin.

“I guess it’s for you,” Alexander grunts, handing the phone to Sophia. ” And tell him to give your phone back, that’s ridiculous.”

Rolling her eyes at Alexander’s exasperation, Sophia accepts the phone and answers the call, only to be met with Benjamin’s demand to be discharged from the hospital. Despite her reservations about his well-being, she knew she had no choice but to compromise. With a heavy sigh, she agreed to his demands, promising to arrange his discharge from the hospital as soon as possible.

*

Sophia went to collect Benjamin from the hospital early in the morning. He had been incessantly calling Alexander’s phone, which Sophia noticed was making him nervous. As she parked the car in front of the house, she turned to Benjamin.

“I want you to give me my phone back, ” Sophia told him firmly but gently.

“Your phone is not in…”

“Save it for me. I won’t question why you did it, nor am I angry with you. I want you to take it easy now while you recover. So let it be in the past and give me my phone back.”

Benjamin nodded understandingly and retrieved Sophia’s phone from his pocket. He handed it to her, and she accepted it with a warm smile.

“So…” she began as she unbuckled her seat belt. “Do you mind staying at home while you recover? That way, I will be much calmer.”

Benjamin’s face lit up with gratitude at Sophia’s consideration.

“Of course, I would also like to spend more time with you.”

However, his smile quickly faded as he saw Alexander leaving the house. Alexander approached Sophia’s car, opened her door, and greeted her with a kiss.

“How was the journey?”

“We avoided the traffic jams. Let’s go in.”

Alexander and Sophia proceeded towards the house, and she didn’t turn to Benjamin again. This deepened his resentment towards Alexander. Benjamin followed them into the house and then called out to Sophia.

“Sophie, can you help me with the luggage?”

“I’ll take care of it,” Alexander intervened. “There’s no point in making her carry your things.”

“How thoughtful of you,” Benjamin remarked sarcastically. “Sophie, which room will you be assigning to me?”

“Sophie, while Alexander is busy with the luggage, would you like to go for a walk in the garden? A little fresh air will do me good,” Benjamin suggested, trying to draw Sophia’s attention away from Alexander.

Sophia agrees with a smile and walks with Benjamin to the garden while Alexander heads to the car. As soon as Alexander opens the trunk, he realizes it’s filled to the brim with Benjamin’s belongings. It dawns on him that Benjamin has intentionally burdened him with the task of carrying everything upstairs to the room Sophia had prepared for him.

While moving some of the bags, Alexander notices that most things still have tags on them. Cursing under his breath, he realizes that Benjamin has played a trick on him, wasting his time with Sophia.

“If you want to play, so be it,” muttered Alexander in the silence of the house. He is inspired to foil Benjamin’s plans to steal Sophia away from him. With determination, Alexander decides to take matters into his own hands and strategize a plan to regain Sophia’s attention.

#186 “Learn Your Place.”

Sophia and Benjamin returned from their leisurely stroll through the garden, the soft scent of blooming flowers lingering in the air. As they stepped back into the house, Alexander’s culinary prowess was already evident, with the aroma of freshly cooked lunch wafting from the kitchen.

Turning to greet them, Alexander couldn’t help but notice the bouquet of wildflowers clutched in Sophia’s hand.

Suppressing a flicker of annoyance, Alexander resolved to maintain his composure. He wouldn’t allow Benjamin to upstage him.

“Oh, please dispose of those flowers. I tend to suffer from spring allergies,” Alexander said, his tone slightly strained as he feigned discomfort.

Sophia, well aware of Alexander’s lack of allergies, rolled her eyes but decided not to challenge him. She tossed the flowers aside, making a mental note to appreciate Benjamin’s gesture later.

Walking over to where Alexander was seated, Sophia leaned in to inspect his culinary creation.

“Have you prepared lunch?” she inquired, her voice filled with curiosity.

“Yes, indeed. It’s time for us to enjoy a meal together,” Alexander replied with a hint of pride in his voice.

Benjamin shoots a glare at Alexander from across the room, but Alexander only smiles back, pleased to have gotten under his skin.

“Benjamin, I imagine you must be feeling quite fatigued. Allow me to bring the meal to your room,” Alexander offered.

“I’ll join you both for lunch. I’m feeling better after spending time with Sophia, “Benjamin interjected, his tone indicating his determination not to be sidelined.

“I have no doubt about it,” Alexander replied dryly.

Sophia makes her way towards Benjamin with a tender smile.

“I’ll help you sit up and get you a pillow for your back,” she offers kindly.

“Thank you, that would be wonderful,” Benjamin responds gratefully, his voice filled with appreciation.

As Benjamin exits the room to prepare for lunch, Sophia crosses her arms over her waist. She looked at Alexander and raised an eyebrow.

“What was the deal with the flowers?” she asked, her tone tinged with confusion.

Alexander shrugged nonchalantly, concealing his true feelings.

“Would you prefer it if another woman were to lavish me with gifts?”

“No, but…”

“That’s all there is to it, my dear. I simply don’t like it.”

“Alright, but do try to behave yourself.”

“A challenge when you look so irresistible,” Alexander replied with a playful smirk.

As he leaned in for a kiss, their intimate moment was interrupted by Benjamin’s voice calling from the other room.

“Sophia, could you lend a hand in setting the table?”

Sophia let out a resigned sigh, prepared to assist, but before she could move, Alexander gently pulled her back by the arm. He pressed his lips against hers, savoring the brief connection before reluctantly allowing her to attend to Benjamin’s request.

Throughout lunch, Sophia observed the dynamic between Alexander and Benjamin with a mix of amusement and fascination. It was akin to watching a verbal sparring match, with each exchange revealing more about their contrasting personalities and underlying tensions.

Despite the seriousness of their conflict, Sophia couldn’t help but find their banter somewhat entertaining. Sophia couldn’t stifle a smile. It was almost comical to see how far they would go in their attempts to get under each other’s skin.

Deciding to refrain from intervening for the time being, Sophia leaned back in her chair, content to let the amusing spectacle unfold before her.

Alexander remarked, “You know, Benjamin, I must admit, I didn’t expect you to have such refined taste in flowers. Perhaps you should consider a career in floristry.”

Benjamin retorted with a smirk of his own, “Oh, I’m just full of surprises, Alexander. But I must say, your cooking skills are equally unexpected. Did you actually make this dish, or did you hire a chef?”

Alexander chuckled, undeterred by Benjamin’s jab. “Ah, Benjamin, always the skeptic. But I’ll have you know, I’m quite the culinary artist. Perhaps you’d like to sample more of my cooking in the future?”

Benjamin raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in his tone. “Well, if it’s anything like today’s meal, I might have to decline. But I’ll give you credit for effort, Alexander.”

Sophia couldn’t help but chuckle at their exchange. After their lunch, Alexander and Sophia found themselves in the kitchen, clearing away the dishes. As they worked side by side, Alexander, with a mischievous glint in his eye, reached for the faucet and turned it on, sending a spray of water cascading into the sink.

Sophia let out a surprised squeal as she felt the water splatter against her, but she quickly retaliated by flicking a droplet of water back at him.

Caught off guard, Alexander chuckled, his eyes dancing with amusement. “Ah, I see we’re playing dirty now, are we?”

Sophia smirked, grabbing another handful of water and flicking it playfully at Alexander. “You started it,” she teased, her laughter ringing out in the kitchen.

Before they knew it, a full-fledged water fight had erupted between them, with soap suds and laughter flying in equal measure. As they dodged and splashed, their playful banter flowed freely, washing away the tension that had lingered between them earlier.

The sight irritated Benjamin enough to push him to act. With a subtle grimace, he feigned pain, strategically manipulating Sophia’s attention towards him. Every move he made was calculated to draw her focus away from Alexander and back to himself. His plan worked like a charm as Sophia rushed to his side, her concern for his well- being evident in her every movement.

“Are you okay, Ben? Do you need anything?” Sophia’s voice was filled with genuine concern as she hovered over Benjamin, checking his bandages.

Benjamin winced slightly, his eyes darting towards Alexander before returning to Sophia. “I think I just need some rest and maybe a little more of your company,” he replied, his tone laced with underlying tension.

Alexander observed the exchange, his grip on Sophia tightening slightly. Sophia shot Alexander a warning glance before turning back to Benjamin. “Of course, Ben. I’ll stay with you until you feel better,” she assured him.

Benjamin’s lips curled into a sly smile as he glanced back at Alexander. “I’m sure I’ll recover much faster with you by my side,” he remarked, his words loaded with implication.

Sophia’s brow furrowed. “I’ll just go grab you some water,” she said quickly, eager to diffuse the situation.

As Sophia left the room, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense between Alexander and Benjamin, each man vying for Sophia’s attention in their own way.

Benjamin’s words were laced with confidence as he boldly declared, “She will choose me.”

Alexander’s smile widened, his demeanor unwavering in the face of Benjamin’s challenge. “Last night she was screaming my name, not yours,” he retorted, his tone dripping with superiority. “Learn your place.”

#187 “I don’t Care About Ben.”

The night after Ben’s return, the atmosphere in the house was tense yet oddly serene. Sophia had made the decision to have Benjamin sleep in the room adjacent to theirs, a choice that both Alexander and Benjamin reluctantly agreed to. As the night settled in, Sophia found herself lying beside Alexander in their shared bed, the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a warm hue across the room.

Alexander, emboldened by the intimacy of their surroundings, reached out to pull Sophia closer, his fingertips tracing gentle patterns along her arm. “You know, love,” he murmured softly, his voice laced with desire, “it’s been a while since we’ve had a moment like this. I’ve missed you.

Sophia shifted slightly, her heart racing at the proximity of Alexander’s touch. “I’ve missed you too, Alex,” she whispered, her voice barely above a breath. But before she could say more, Alexander’s lips found hers in a tender kiss, igniting a spark of longing that had been smoldering between them.

As their kiss deepened, Alexander’s hands began to wander, exploring the contours of Sophia’s body with a hunger that left her breathless. But just as things were starting to heat up, Sophia pulled away, a hint of hesitation in her eyes.

“Alex, we can’t,” she protested softly, her gaze flickering towards the door separating their room from Benjamin’s. “Ben’s right next door. He’ll hear us.”

But Alexander, fueled by desire and a hint of frustration, refused to be deterred. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he made a show of ignoring Sophia’s concerns, his hands roaming boldly as he attempted to reignite their passion.

“Sophia, darling,” he murmured, his voice low and husky, “I don’t care about Ben. I only care about you.” And with that, he leaned in to kiss her again, his lips hungry and demanding.

Sophia’s protests faded into a soft moan as Alexander’s kiss deepened, his lips igniting a fire within her that she couldn’t deny. Lost in the heat of the moment, she succumbed to his embrace, her hands tangling in his hair as she responded eagerly to his touch.

As their passion intensified, Sophia felt herself surrendering to the sensations coursing through her body. Alexander’s hands traced the curves of her skin with a skill that left her trembling with desire, each caress sending waves of pleasure crashing over her.

Their kiss grew more fervent, their bodies pressed together in a frenzy of need and longing. Sophia’s breath came in shallow gasps as Alexander’s lips trailed down her neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake.

In the throes of ecstasy, Sophia couldn’t suppress the sounds of pleasure that escaped her lips, her cries mingling with Alexander’s own fervent whispers of desire. Together, they danced on the edge of ecstasy, lost in a whirlwind of passion and longing.

But just as their passion reached its peak, a loud crash shattered the air, the sound cutting through the haze of their desire like a knife. Instantly, Sophia’s senses snapped back into focus, her heart pounding in her chest as she realized the source of the disturbance.

“Ben!” she gasped, pulling away from Alexander’s embrace and rushing towards the door. “Something’s happened. I need to check on him.”

Sophia and Alexander hurried to Benjamin’s room. With a sense of urgency, she pushed open the door, revealing Benjamin sprawled on the floor, his face contorted in pain.

“Ben!” she exclaimed, rushing to his side and dropping to her knees beside him. “Are you alright? What happened?

Benjamin winced, his breath coming in short gasps as he struggled to sit up. “I- I fell,” he muttered, his voice strained with pain. “I was trying to get up and… and I lost my balance.”

Sophia’s heart ached at the sight of Benjamin’s discomfort, her concern for him eclipsing any lingering tension between them. Without hesitation, she reached out to help him up, her touch gentle yet firm as she guided him to his feet.

“There, there,” she murmured soothingly, her eyes filled with empathy. “Let me help you back to bed.

As Sophia tended to Benjamin, Alexander stood back, his gaze flickering between them with suspicion. Alexander couldn’t shake the feeling that Benjamin’s fall had been intentional, a calculated move to disrupt their intimate moment.

However, as he glanced at Sophia’s worried expression and the genuine care she displayed towards Benjamin, Alexander made a silent decision to keep his suspicions to himself. He knew that accusing Benjamin without concrete evidence would only serve to cause further tension.

Instead, Alexander chose to bide his time, keeping a watchful eye on Benjamin and waiting for any further signs of manipulation or deceit. He understood the importance of supporting Sophia in her efforts to care for her brother.

With a silent resolve, Alexander masked his suspicions with a reassuring smile, offering his assistance to Sophia as she tended to Benjamin’s needs.

#188 “You’re Joking, Right?”

The next morning, Sophia found herself torn between her desire to support Benjamin and her longing to spend time with Alexander. As they gathered around the breakfast table, Sophia couldn’t help but notice the subtle tension between Alexander and Benjamin, a tension that threatened to overshadow the morning’s meal.

Determined to diffuse the palpable atmosphere, Sophia made a conscious effort to divide her attention between the two men. She found herself lingering near Benjamin, offering him a helping hand and ensuring that he had everything he needed for breakfast. At the same time, she exchanged playful banter with Alexander, teasing him with a wink or a playful nudge whenever the opportunity arose.

Despite his cheeky demeanor, Alexander couldn’t shake the sour mood that had settled over him like a dark cloud. He knew that it was important for Sophia to be there for Benjamin, but he couldn’t help feeling a twinge of jealousy at the way she doted on him.

Sophia, sensing Alexander’s discomfort, resolved to ease his worries by taking matters into her own hands. As the breakfast dishes were cleared away, she busied herself around the house, rearranging furniture and organizing the space so that everything was within arm’s reach of Benjamin.

Once she was satisfied with her efforts, Sophia gathered everyone’s attention, her eyes sparkling with excitement. ” Hey, guys,” she announced, her voice filled with enthusiasm. “I’ve got an announcement for you.”

Alexander raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Sophia’s sudden burst of energy. ” What’s the announcement?” he asked, his curiosity piqued.

Sophia grinned, her excitement palpable. “I want to take you to my grandfather’s ranch,” she revealed, her voice tinged with excitement. “It’s a beautiful place, and I thought it would be the perfect getaway for us.”

Alexander’s eyes widened in surprise, his mood instantly lifted by Sophia’s unexpected invitation. He had no idea that Sophia had a ranch, but the thought of spending time with her in such a picturesque setting filled him with joy.

“Ah, what am I going to do?” Benjamin asked, attempting to stall Sophia’s departure.

“I’ve arranged the whole house to make you comfortable. If you need anything, just call me,” said Sophia, already grabbing her jacket to leave.

Alexander was content with her response and planted a kiss on her cheek at the door. He grabbed his jacket but could hardly contain his excitement to leave.

“Okay,” Benjamin reluctantly responded.

He knew he couldn’t prevent Sophia from leaving, so as he watched her walk away, he began to devise a plan in his mind to bring her back as soon as possible.

Already in the car, Alexander grinned like a kid, and Sophia laughed at his expression.

“I didn’t know you had a ranch,” Alexander remarked as they drove off.

“It was my grandfather’s. After he passed away, I hired workers to maintain it. I know you don’t fancy such places…”

“Sophia, wherever you are, that’s where I want to be. And don’t forget, I haven’t had a silver spoon all my life-I can surprise you.”

The sun beat down on the sprawling ranch as Sophia and Alexander arrived, the air alive with the sounds of nature and the scent of fresh hay. Eager to explore, they wasted no time in diving into the activities the farm had to offer.

Sophia’s eyes widened with excitement as she took in the vast expanse of the ranch, the golden fields stretching out before her like a patchwork quilt of green and gold. “I love this place so much!” she exclaimed, turning to Alexander with a grin.

Alexander’s face lit up with a smile as he looked around, his eyes alight with the same sense of wonder. “I know, right? It’s like something out of a movie,” he replied.

With eager hearts and a sense of adventure, they set off to explore the ranch, their laughter echoing through the fields as they ran through the tall grass, their hands intertwined as they skipped and danced their way through the meadows.

As they wandered through the ranch, they stumbled upon a paddock filled with horses, their sleek coats gleaming in the sunlight. Sophia’s eyes sparkled with delight as she gazed at the majestic creatures.

As Sophia and Alexander stood amidst the horses, Sophia’s eyes lit up as she gently began stroking the sleek coat of a majestic black stallion. “I used to love riding when I was a kid,” she began, her voice filled with nostalgia. “I had a horse just like this one, pure black as the night.”

Alexander listened intently, his eyes fixed on Sophia as she shared her childhood memories. “My grandfather gave it to me when I was 10,” Sophia continued, her voice tinged with affection. “We used to spend hours in the woods together, just me and him. I would imagine all sorts of mythical creatures around us fae, trolls, werewolves.”

Alexander was captivated by Sophia’s vivid imagination, his own eyes wide with wonder as he listened to her tales. “That sounds incredible,” he remarked, his voice filled with admiration. “I never knew you had such a wild imagination.”

Sophia laughed, the sound light and melodic. “You have no idea,” she replied, her eyes sparkling with amusement,

“Let’s go for a ride,” Alexander suggested with a mischievous grin, his eyes glinting with excitement. “We might even find one of the mythical creatures.”

Sophia couldn’t help but laugh at the suggestion, her expression incredulous. “You’re joking, right?” she replied, her tone teasing. “You can’t possibly ride a horse.”

But to Sophia’s surprise, Alexander didn’t hesitate for a second. With a swift and practiced movement, he mounted one of the horses, his movements fluid and confident. And before Sophia could even react, he urged the horse into a gallop and disappeared into the distance.

Sophia sat there with her mouth agape, utterly stunned by what she had just witnessed. She couldn’t believe that Alexander, whom she had underestimated when it came to horse riding, had effortlessly mounted the horse and ridden off with such skill and grace.

But Sophia wasn’t one to be left behind. With a determined glint in her eye, she quickly mounted her own horse and set off in pursuit of Alexander, the thrill of the chase coursing through her veins.

#189 “Is That A ‘Yes’?”

As she galloped through the fields, Sophia felt a rush of exhilaration wash over her, her heart pounding with excitement as she chased after Alexander. As she finally caught up to him, a sense of pride swelled within her chest, knowing that she was just as capable as he was when it came to riding horses.

As Sophia watched Alexander effortlessly guide his horse, a surge of emotions swept over her. She couldn’t deny the rush of admiration that pulsed through her veins as she witnessed his skillful control over the majestic animal. Despite her initial disbelief, she couldn’t help but feel an undeniable attraction towards him.

She couldn’t deny that she had always found Alexander extremely sexy, but watching him now made her throat go dry. She was dying for this man who never stopped surprising her. He’s everything she’s ever wanted.

She motioned for him to follow her, her movements fluid and confident. With a playful grin, she led them towards a nearby pond, the cool, still water reflecting the golden hues of the setting sun.

As they reached the water’s edge, Sophia dismounted her horse and gestured for Alexander to do the same. She watched with a mixture of awe and fascination as he gracefully dismounted, his movements fluid and confident.

With a smile, Sophia turned to Alexander, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. “So, when did you learn to ride like that?” she asked, her voice tinged with admiration.

Alexander chuckled a hint of sheepishness in his smile. “Believe it or not, I used to spend summers on my uncle’s farm when I was a kid,” he confessed. “He taught me everything I know about riding horses.”

Sophia’s eyes widened in surprise, her admiration for him growing with each passing moment. “Well, you certainly picked up some impressive skills,” she remarked, her voice filled with genuine admiration.

As they sat by the pond, watching the sun dip below the horizon, Sophia couldn’t shake the feeling of warmth that spread through her chest. With a soft smile, she turned to Alexander, her eyes twinkling with affection.

“You know,” she began, her voice warm and tender, “there’s something incredibly sexy about watching you ride.”

Alexander grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Oh yeah?” he replied, his voice teasing. “I guess I’ll have to ride more often then.”

Sophia laughed, the sound melodic and light. “I wouldn’t complain about that, ” she said playfully, her gaze lingering on him.

Their eyes met, the air between them thick with desire as they leaned closer, the heat of their bodies mingling in the cool air.

“You have no idea how much you turn me on,” Alexander murmured, his voice low and husky.

Sophia’s breath caught in her throat as she felt a surge of heat flood through her veins. “Oh, I think I have a pretty good idea,” she replied, her voice dripping with seduction.

With a playful glint in his eye, Alexander leaned in closer, his lips brushing against hers in a tantalizing kiss. “Care to show me just how much? ” he whispered, his voice filled with promise.

Sophia’s heart raced as she felt a rush of desire wash over her. “I thought you’d never ask,” she breathed, her voice heavy with anticipation.

Their lips met in a passionate embrace, their bodies moving together in perfect harmony as they lost themselves in the intoxicating heat of their desire. At that moment, nothing else mattered but the electric connection they shared, a connection that left them both breathless and hungry for more.

As their kiss deepened, the world around them seemed to fade into the background, leaving only the pulsing rhythm of their desire. With each touch and caress, they explored the depths of their passion, igniting a fire that burned brighter with every passing moment.

With a soft moan, Sophia pressed herself closer to Alexander, her hands tangling in his hair as she deepened the kiss. His touch sent shivers down her spine, igniting a hunger that consumed her from within.

Alexander’s hands roamed over her body, tracing every curve and contour with a tenderness that stole her breath away. With each touch, he stoked the flames of desire that raged between them, leaving her yearning for more.

As they finally pulled apart, their chests heaving with exertion, Sophia couldn’t help but smile as she gazed into Alexander’s eyes.

“I’ve been meaning to ask you something for a while,” Alexander began, his voice tinged with nervousness.

Sophia’s curiosity piqued her attention fully on Alexander. “What is it?” she asked, leaning in closer.

“Well, I was thinking about us and about…” Alexander’s words trailed off as Sophia’s phone rang, interrupting their conversation.

Sophia quickly fished her phone out of her pocket, her heart sinking as she saw Benjamin’s name on the caller ID. She answered the call, her brows furrowing with concern as she listened to Benjamin’s shaky voice on the other end.

“Ben, what’s wrong?” she asked, her voice filled with worry.

Benjamin’s voice was weak and strained as he replied, “Sophia, I’m not feeling well. I think I need you to come home.”

Hearing this, Sophia looked at Alexander. She was sure he would be angry. “I’ll be right there,” she assured Benjamin before ending the call.

Turning to Alexander, Sophia’s expression was filled with apology. I’m so sorry, Alex,” she said, her voice laced with regret. “We need to go home. Ben needs me.” 11

“Of course,” replied Alexander, his annoyance evident in his tone. “Let’s see what the big baby needs this time.”

Sophia felt guilty for Alexander’s frustration and reached out to take his hand. “I promise I’ll talk to him. This has to stop,” she said earnestly.

Alexander’s expression softened at her touch and her words. He nodded in understanding, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips.

As they rode back home in silence, Sophia could sense Alexander’s tension. She knew he wanted to discuss something important, but she didn’t want to push him.

“You wanted to ask me something,” she finally broke the silence, turning to look at him.

Alexander hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. “Leave it, another time,” he said, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Sophia frowned, sensing his reluctance. “I do want to know,” she insisted gently, squeezing his hand reassuringly.

Alexander lets out a sigh, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. “I want to live together,” he blurted out suddenly, his words rushed and nervous.

Sophia’s heart skipped a beat at his confession, a smile spreading across her face at his vulnerability. “I thought you’d never ask,” she teased lightly, her eyes sparkling with joy.

“Is that a ‘Yes’?” Alexander asked, a hint of worry in his voice.

Sophia’s smile widened as she nodded. “Yes,” she replied. “I want to live together. Just say which apartment you prefer and we’ll do it.”

#190 “Stop It.”

As they arrived back home, Benjamin wasted no time in launching into his theatrics, feigning illness with such skill that even Alexander couldn’t help but feel a twinge of doubt. But as Sophia administered his medicine and changed his bandages, it became increasingly clear to Alexander that Benjamin was simply playing up his symptoms for attention.

Despite his frustration, Alexander bit back his annoyance, knowing that Sophia needed his support in dealing with her brother’s antics. But as the night wore on and Benjamin insisted on watching a movie together, Alexander felt his patience wearing thin.

“Maybe you should go to bed if you’re tired,” Benjamin remarked casually, his words laced with a hint of sarcasm.

But Alexander refused to back down.” I’ll stay,” he replied firmly, shooting Benjamin a pointed look.

Sophia, caught in the middle of the brewing tension, felt her frustration growing. She longed for the two most important men in her life to understand each other, but it seemed like they were only driving each other further apart.

Waiting for the right moment, Sophia finally decided to intervene. “Let’s just watch the movie, okay?” she said, her voice tinged with exhaustion.

With a nod from both men, Sophia pressed play, the soft glow of the TV illuminating the room as they settled in to watch the movie. But despite the calm facade, Sophia knew that the underlying tension between Alexander and Benjamin still simmered beneath the surface, waiting to boil over at any moment.

Alexander took advantage of the movie wrapped his arms around Sophia and gently stroked her hair as they cuddled together on the couch.

Suddenly, Benjamin’s voice cut through the silence, breaking Sophia’s reverie as he asked her for a glass of water. Before she could respond, Alexander interjected, his tone tinged with a hint of annoyance. “You can get it yourself, Ben. It’ll be good for your recovery,” he remarked casually, his grip on Sophia tightening possessively.

Sophia felt a surge of frustration once again, her patience wearing thin as she struggled to maintain her composure. Without a word, she rose abruptly from her seat, her hand clasping Alexander’s as she pulled him along behind her.

“Come with me, now,” she whispered urgently.

Alexander grinned mischievously at Benjamin as he followed Sophia out of the room, a silent challenge passing between them as they disappeared from view. Once they were alone in the sanctuary of Sophia’s room, she wasted no time in closing the door behind them, her lips crashing against Alexander’s in a fervent kiss.

Their passion ignited like wildfire, consuming them both as they surrendered to the intoxicating rush of desire. Alexander’s hands roamed eagerly over Sophia’s body, his touch igniting sparks of pleasure that sent shivers down her spine. She melted into his embrace, her body molded to his as they lost themselves in the heat of the moment.

Alexander’s senses were overwhelmed by the intoxicating presence of Sophia. With every touch, every kiss, he felt himself slipping further into the depths of desire, his heart pounding with a fierce intensity that threatened to consume him whole. His fingers dug into her thighs, his grip desperate and possessive as he pulled her closer, craving the warmth of her body against his.

As Sophia’s lips trailed along his neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake, Alexander’s breath hitched in his throat, his mind clouded by a dizzying whirlwind of sensation. “I’m going crazy,” he murmured hoarsely, his voice barely audible above the pounding of his own heart.

Sophia smiled smugly and pulled away slightly from Alexander. Her gaze bore into his, her eyes filled with a mixture of longing and frustration as she demanded answers. “Will you stop this childish game with Benjamin?” she asked. “Is this proof enough for you that I only want you?”

For a moment, Alexander was silent, his mind racing as he grappled with the weight of Sophia’s words. Slowly, he reached out to gently cup her face in his hands. “What kind of demonstration was that?” he grinned.

“One that you obviously need to stop fighting with him. I’m only yours, Alexander. Get it in your head.”

“Okay, I’ll stop nagging him if you finish what you started,” retorted Alexander, a playful glint in his eyes.

Sophia smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting determination and affection.

“I have to talk to him first. He needs to know the truth about us being brother and sister. And then I’ll come back for you.”

“Do you want me to come with you?” Alexander offered.

“No need. I’d rather not make it any more awkward than it already is. Wait for me here.”

“Alright, deal,” he says, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “But I’ll be eagerly awaiting your return.”

“Oh, don’t worry. I won’t leave you hanging.”

As Sophia heads downstairs to talk to Benjamin, Alexander watches her go, a sense of satisfaction washing over him.

Sophia went downstairs and sat next to Benjamin.

“I wanted to talk to you,” she began, her voice soft yet determined.

But before she could continue, Benjamin interjected, his words tumbling out in a rush of desperation and longing. “I want to speak first. Sophia, I can’t bear the thought of seeing you with him. You and I have something special, don’t you see? I think you’re afraid to try with me and find out that I’m actually the one for you.”

Sophia’s heart sank as she listened to Benjamin’s plea. She knew she had to stop him before he made a mistake he would regret.

“Stop it,” she said, rising abruptly from her seat. “Hear me out.”

“Sophia, please…” Benjamin’s voice wavered with emotion, but she couldn’t afford to let sentimentality cloud her judgment any longer.

“No, Benjamin, I’m trying to tell you something,” Sophia insisted, her tone firm as she faced him head-on. “And there’s no easy way to do it, so I’m going to be direct. You and I are related by blood. My father is also your father.”

The words hung in the air between them, heavy with the weight of their implications. Benjamin’s expression shifted from confusion to disbelief, his eyes widening in shock as he struggled to understand the truth of Sophia’s revelation.
