Ch. 161..170
Chapter 161
Zeno was woken by Zen’s call the next morning, he woke up to also find a text from Cassian asking if they could meet that afternoon.
He didn’t answer any of them, he didn’t feel like going anywhere.
He was going home to his Nana; it was in these kind of moments that he thanked God for keeping his Nana for him; at least he had a real family to spend his life with.
He knew that Zen was calling to ask if was coming to the gym that morning, and Cassian was calling to ask him out on a date.
He wasn’t interested in either at the moment.
All he wanted was to go home and watch movies with his Nana.
He didn’t want to associate with anyone.
He left his room and went over to knock on Nicholas’ room.
"Hey, good morning, going home already?" Nicholas opened the door and asked.
Zeno nodded, "Yeah, I won’t be going to the gym today, I’m heading out," He told him and turned to leave.
"Hey," Nicholas stepped out of the room, buttoning his shirt.
"I’m sorry about last night, I know Sebastian is trying to reopen old wounds, and I know it’s not my place to say... but, if you still love him, maybe -"
"Maybe what, Nicholas? Tell him I love him and run back to him? Pretend there is no woman beside him? Stay in the shadows for him? Lose myself for him? If this is what you mean by loving him, then, no, I do not love him, Nicholas. That is not love," he chuckled dryly, "That’s just stupidity," He frowned.
Nicholas was quiet.
He sighed and nodded, "That’s true, I don’t know what I was thinking for saying that, I’m sorry," He apologized.
Zeno shrugged, "It’s okay. Need a ride home, oh... no, you don’t, you drove your car here," He recalled.
"Yes, I did, but I’m riding home with you; I need to feel the morning breeze and sunlight on my skin; let’s go," Nicholas hooked his arm around Zeno’s and dragged him away.
Unlike how he used to squirm and sell Zeno for speeding with his bike, he asked him to speed faster that morning; he even refused to wear a helmet just so he could feel the wind properly.
"Woah! That was awesome!" Nicholas laughed as he got down from the bike.
Zeno got down and stared at Nicholas in suspicion, "That’s weird... anyways, I’m glad you enjoyed the ride, for the first time ever." He smiled.
Nicholas smirked, "Next time, I’m driving," He winked at Zeno and walked into the building.
They reached their apartments and parted ways, but Zeno was sure that Nicholas would soon come knocking on his door after his shower.
The man never stayed in his house, and Nana always asked him why he didn’t just move in with them and stay in the third room in the house instead of going from house to house, but Nicholas never agreed, he always insisted on letting Zeno have his privacy, and up till now, Zeno never understood what he meant by privacy.
"You’re back," Nana embraced Zeno as he entered the house.
"Mmm, I missed you, Nana," He kissed her cheek.
"Me too, Nieto. Hungry?" She asked.
"Yes, I’m very hungry, Nana, I’m starving," He pouted like a child.
"Three more minutes, go take a shower, you stink, o thought you promised not to drink," She eyed him.
"Come on, Nana, I work in a bar, I’m supposed to smell like it," He sighed.
"I hope that’s the real explanation," She patted his cheeks and walked into the kitchen.
Zeno rolled his eyes, "I’m an adult, Nana," he muttered.
"Not to me, Nieto," Nana replied from the kitchen.
Zeno sighed and walked into his room, he wondered how she had such supper hearing at her age.
After showering, Zeno came out and saw Nicholas already sitting at the dining table, smiling like a chicken as Nana dished out the food on the plates.
"You have to start paying for these meals, Nick," Zeno said as he walked over to them.
"Don’t say that, Zeno, it’s inhuman, he’s family, family don’t pay each other for showing kindness," She frowned at him.
"What she said," Nicholas replied, smiling at Zeno.
"Of course... family," He gave Nicholas a nasty look.
Zeno eyed Nicholas and went to sit far away from him,
"Go get water, Nicholas," Zeno said, relaxing on the chair.
"No, Zeno, he’s a guest, guests are not allowed to do shores," Nana corrected.
"Nana, it’s just getting water from the fridge; he wouldn’t die," He glared at Nicholas, who was making a cute face at Nana.
"No, you go get the water," Nana said and sat beside Nicholas.
Zeno frowned and stood from the chair. He sometimes wondered who the grandson was; was it really him, or was it Nicholas?
He walked over to the fridge and grabbed three bottles of water, "You need to pick a side, Nana. If he’s a family, he needs to do chores, and he’s a guest; he has to pay for the meals," He said as he dropped the bottles of water on the table.
He was about to sit down when he heard a knock on the door.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, I invited Maggie for lunch, please, be a darling and go open the door for her," Nana smiled at Zeno.
"Can’t he go get the door?" He pointed at Nicholas, who was already eating.
"He’s eating, Nieto; it’s rude to interrupt someone while they’re eating," She replied.
Zeno chuckled, "Of course, oh wise, Nana... just till I get him alone, I’ll make him pay," He muttered and walked over to the door.
He glared at Nicholas as he opened the door, "Good afternoon Magg -"
"Hi, Zeno!" Ken smiled excitedly and hugged Zeno.
"Uh... Ken, how did you get here?" He asked, looking around and seeing no one with the boy.
"Is that Maggie’s boy?" Nana asked from the dining.
Nicholas was already alert the moment he heard Ken’s voice; what was Sebastian doing?
"I came with Daddy, he’s right... here," He pointed at the elevator as it slowly slid open to reveal Sebastian and Ezra!
Zeno was bewildered, shocked, what was he supposed to do now? Take Ken in and leave the rest outside?
He thought he had been clear in asking Sebastian to stay away from him; why was he invading his personal life too?
And how the fuck is Ezra with him now?
"Who’s that?" Nana asked behind Zeno.
"Um, it’s Nicholas’ friends; they’ll just wait for him out here while he eats. Come on, Ken," he smiled at the boy and gently pulled him in before Sebastian could reach his door.
"Good afternoon, Ma’am," Ken greeted Nana.
Nana smiled at the boy, "Hi, Niño, you’re right in time. Food is ready, and please, call me Nana; I’m Zeno’s Grandma," She patted the boy’s head.
"Okay, Nana," Ken hugged her.
"Go right to the dining, let Nicholas serve you," She said.
"Nicholas?" Ken moved his head to the side to look toward where Nana had pointed, and truly, he saw Nicholas smiling at him, "Nicholas!" He ran with excitement toward him, laughing loudly.
Meanwhile, Zeno had successfully locked his door and was smiling at his Nana guiltily.
"Open, Zeno," Nana asked.
Zeno shook his head, "They’re really not our business, Nana; I promise you, they can stand there for days and wouldn’t mind; they’re here for Nicholas, not us, can we just go eat? I’m starving," He blinked cutely at her.
There was no way he was letting Sebastian inside his house.
Nana frowned, "Leave the door, Zeno; Nicholas’ friends are ours too; they’re automatically family. Move now," She said sternly.
Zeno frowned, "You don’t care about me; all you care about is expanding your family. Am I not enough for you?" He turned to emotional.
"Yes, you’re right, now, move and open the door for my new family members," She didn’t give a damn about his fake feelings.
’Fuck,’ Zeno cursed mentally.
He sighed and reluctantly turned and unlocked the door; at least, there were many people in the room, plus a kid; Sebastian would never try anything stupid, right?
He opened the door and stood beside it.
"Hi, Zeno, Hi, Nana," Ezra walked in and hugged Zeno before walking around him to hug Nana.
"Hey, Princess, you look younger than the last time we face-timed," He kisses her cheeks.
Nicholas immediately snapped his head toward Ezra the moment he heard his voice.
So the traitor was here, too? He had been the one to feed Sebastian their location after getting from Nana; they had forgotten that he got Nana a new phone as they were planning to travel. He had a lot of things to ask him, and he hoped Ezra had all the answers.
"Zeno, what are you doing?" Nana asked again, pushing Zeno slightly to leave the door as he had locked it again.
Zeno sighed, "Nana, you don’t have to mind the last person, we don’t know who he is," He said as he watched Nana open the door.
"Hello, young man, please, come in," Nana smiles at Sebastian and invites him in.
"Hi, Nana, I’m Sebastian," He kissed the back of her hand as he walked into the house.
"Aww, would you look at this charming young man, Nieto, I wish I had a granddaughter for you," She touched Sebastian’s arm, admiring him.
Zeno scoffed.
"I’m flattered, Nana, thank you," ’But your grandson would do,’ he thought quietly, glancing at Zeno, who was largest walking back to the dining.
"Please, come, the food is still hot," She invited.
Sebastian nodded, "I’d be delighted to eat your food, Nana," he replied and let her hold his hand and lead him toward the dining.
Chapter 162
Zeno sat quietly ok the dining table; Sebastian easily made his way and sat beside him.
His eyes locked on Nicholas across the table; they were silently communicating on how to leave the table.
Sebastian was quiet beside Zeno, simply observing him. He knew he should be very cautious with his actions.
Nana’s comment about wanting to pair him up with her non-existent granddaughter was enough to let him know that Zeno hadn’t told her about them, and considering her generation, she might not really be welcoming to the idea of her grandson dating a fellow man.
"Please, enjoy your meal, everyone," Nana said, sitting beside Ken.
"Thank you, Nana; Paella is my favorite," Sebastian politely spoke, tasting the food.
"Mmm, it’s so yummy, right, son?" Sebastian asked Ken.
Ken nodded, "Yes, Dad, Nana’s cooking is delicious, better than Sa-"
"Do you want some juice, Ken?" Zeno quickly asked, already standing from the table.
"Yes, orange juice," Ken replied, smiling.
He’d forgotten he was about to ruin the comfortable atmosphere by mentioning a name that wasn’t welcomed at the table.
"We have just that," Zeno said and went to get it from the fridge.
"I’d like some too," Sebastian called after Zeno.
Zeno paused and looked at Sebastian; he saw Nana staring at him and slowly nodded, "Of course," He smiled and returned to the fridge.
"Ezra, you’re just eating, how about giving me a compliment?" Nana asked the hungry doctor.
Ezra pinched his thumbs and his index fingers together, "Perfect, Nana, I’m in heaven," He praised.
Nana chuckled, "I’m glad you all like it. I live cooking for large families. Unfortunately, I lost half of mine, but I got you all, so I’m okay," She said, her voice turning emotional.
"We’re lucky to be your family, Nana, you’re the best anyone could ever ask for," Nicholas smiled sweetly at her.
"Here’s your orange juice, buddy," Zeno placed a glass of juice beside Ken’s plate.
"Thank you," Ken said.
Zeno patted his head before walking over to Sebastian, he gently placed the juice in front of Sebastian and lowered himself on the chair.
"Thank you," Sebastian said, his voice gentle as he turned to look at Zeno.
Zeno ignored him and started eating his food; he didn’t have time to fake communication.
Only the sound of cutleries and plates was heard in the quiet dining room, but soon, Zeno’s shocked gasp was heard, his fork falling out of his hand and clinging to the floor.
"Oh my, Zeno, are you alright?" Nana asked, worried.
"Yes, Nana, I- I’m fine, I’ll pick that up," Zeno stammered.
Keeping a calm face, he bent down to retrieve his fork, using the moment to yank Sebastian’s hand off his thigh—far too close to forbidden territory.
"Bastard," He muttered as he picked up the fork and rose to a sitting position.
He glared at the culprit, who was innocently eating his food like he’d done nothing, but the look Nicholas and Ezra were giving them showed that they understood what had happened between them.
Zeno picked another fork from the small rack at the center of the table and resumed eating his food, but before the food could enter his mouth, he felt Sebastian’s hand on his thigh again.
This time he held his fork tightly and resisted the urge to loudly curse him out.
"Nana, this food is really delicious. Can we get a take-home as we leave?" Sebastian asked, looking unbothered by the fact that his hand was currently grazing close to Zeno’s cock.
"Sure, there’s enough left," She replied happily.
Zeno was biting the insides of his cheeks to keep calm; he subtly lowered one of his hands under the table and stopped Sebastian’s wondering hand, idly playing with the food on his plate.
"Thank you," Sebastian mentioned, his hand easily maneuvering Zeno’s own, clasping his around Zeno’s.
He slowly started to rub his thumb inside Zeno’s palm, sending him a shirt but powerful look.
Zeno felt like he had been undressed and fucked with the way Sebastian had looked at him, the way Sebastian’s thumb was circling his palm made him slowly run out of breath.
The idiot still had a huge effect on him.
"Zeno, did you hear me?" Nana questioned, looking at Zeno in concern.
Zeno snapped out of his daze and turned to look at Nana, "Yes, Nana, did you speak to me?" Je slowly removed Sebastian’s hand once again and brought his hand up to the table, his hand felt light and cold from the lack of contact with Sebastian’s.
Fuck him.
"Are you sure you’re alright, Zeno? You seem a little carried away," She stated.
"No, you must be mistaken; maybe the food is too sweet, and I need to focus on it as I eat to savor the flavors," He smiled at her.
"You, you know how to flatter me," Nana blushed.
Zeno sighed in relief, focusing on his food and glad that Sebastian no longer touched him again.
They soon finished eating, and Nana took Zeno to the living room; Ezra was about to follow them, but Nicholas held his hand, "We need to talk," He said seriously.
"Oh?" Ezra raised a brow at him.
"Oh? What do you mean by Oh?" Nicholas was trying hard to keep his voice down.
"I don’t know, you tell me," Ezra smirked.
Nicholas gritted his teeth and was about to raise his voice at Ezra when Nana called him.
"Nicholas, please bring your friends to the living room and tell me how you all met, it’s been so long since I heard a heartfelt story," Nana waved them over.
"That’s a great idea, I and Nicholas go long back with our history, I would love e to tell you all about it," Ezra replied and walked out of the dining, Nicholas immediately followed him, he didn’t trust Ezra to say anything good about him so he had to speak for himself.
"Nieto, please clear those plates," Nana said to Zeno, who was already walking behind Nicholas.
Zeno balled his fists and turned back, ’This isn’t fair,’ he thought.
He ignored Sebastian, who was standing beside the table, and started to pack the plates.
"Sebastian, come over here and tell me all about your wife, she must be so pretty to give you such a handsome son," Nana mentioned.
Zeno scoffed loudly before carrying the dishes into the kitchen.
Sebastian sighed, he was planning to sneak into the kitchen in the pretense of helping Zeno, maybe steal a kiss or two, or more; but old people had a way of meddling In businesses that weren’t theirs, so, there he was, on his way to freely tell someone he just met his life’s story.
Zeno washed the dishes quickly; he could hear Ezra speaking about how they had met through a sport in college and had become friends since then; Zeno realized he was leaving out all the ugly parts, telling only the rainbow sides of the story.
Zeno was glad he was done with the dishes as soon as Nana brought up the question about Ken’s mother again. He walked out of the kitchen after wiping his hands on a towel, eager to hear how Sebastian responded.
"What are you guys talking about?" Zeno asked, walking around to stand behind the sofa that Nana was occupying.
"I was just asking Sebastian how beautiful his wife is; maybe he could bring her to visit next time," Nana suggested.
Zeno chuckled, "Oh, that’s true, why don’t you tell us, Mr. Sebastian," Zeno taunted.
Sebastian shifted uncomfortably; he could feel Ken’s eyes staring at him; the boy was also curious to hear about his mother.
He glanced at Zeno and sighed. He knew Zeno wanted to hear him talk about Sakura, and it would put more distance between them if he did.
"My dad is not married yet; he’s engaged to a lady, Sakura, and she has a child for him, too, a baby boy; he’s almost a year old now, his name is Cloud," Ken gave off the free unsolicited information.
"Oh, really? That’s lovely; I would like to meet your fiancée; she must be lovely," Nana clapped excitedly.
Sebastian slowly nodded, "She is," He replied.
"Aww, what a happy family," Zeno clapped along with Nana.
Ezra and Nicholas stared at him quietly; they knew that behind that smile, there was pain, raw pain.
"It’s all your fault," Nicholas whispered beside Ezra.
Ezra raised a silent brow, "It’s not," He whispered back.
"Yes, a happy family, I almost died the last time; do you want me to die before you get yourself a girl you want to marry? Sebastian’s parents must be really proud, he’s given them two grandchildren, but what do I get? A grown man-child, I need grandchildren too, Zeno," She sighed sadly.
Zeno rolled his eyes behind her. He could feel Sebastian’s eyes on him, but he didn’t look in his direction.
"Soon, Nana, I told you I’m taking my time," He replied.
"I’m not getting any younger," Nana glared at him.
"Would you look at the time? It’s getting late; it’s time for Nicholas’ friends to get back before it gets too late," He announced and walked toward the door.
"Nana, you remember the mysterious man I said was the man who paid your hospital bills?" Ezra asked.
Nana immediately nodded, "Yes, yes, I’m never forgetting such a life soul, I wish to meet him each day I wake up and find myself alive and healthy," She smiled happily.
Zeno paused at the door, looking at Ezra and wondering what he was getting at.
"Well, you have met him today, even had lunch with him," Ezra pointed at Sebastian.
"What?! You mean it’d Sebastian?" She asked in disbelief then turned to look at Zeno.
"Zeno, come here quickly, we’ve found him; Sebastian is the mysterious man who paid our bill, oh my God," She went and hugged Sebastian.
"It’s alright, Nana, I did it for love," He gently patted the woman’s back.
Zeno rolled his eyes when he heard Sebastian’s words, ’Love my ass,’ he thought.
He didn’t believe Sebastian knew what the word meant anymore.
"Come here, Zeno, come and appreciate such a great and kind-hearted young man," She called.
Zeno reluctantly walked over, standing behind Nana.
"I appreciate your help, but you can send your account details for a refund," Zeno said.
"No way, he’s family now; family only returns favors, not payback. Sebastian, dear, please, do you mind staying the night? I’ll make another delicious meal for you," Nana promised.
"Nana, no, he -"
"I’d love to, thank you, Nana," Sebastian smiled, Sebastian sent Zeno a secret look that was filled with a promise, a promise that only Zeno could decipher.
"Fuck this," Zeno muttered and left the house.
Nana chuckled and sighed, "He’ll be back," She promised.
Chapter 163
"Talk," Nicholas ordered, his foot tapping the floor.
Ezra blinked slowly, "Um, what do you want me to say?"
They were standing in the hallway, where Nicholas had dragged Ezra out to question him.
"Don’t fuck with me, Ezra, just speak," Nicholas frowned.
Ezra sighed, "Okay, so, where is your apartment?" He asked.
Nicholas balled his fists in irritation, "Why do you have to be a traitor, Ezra? Why did you bring Sebastian here? Do you know you’re hurting Zeno all over again?" His voice was lowered so Nana wouldn’t hear him.
She was busy watching a movie with Sebastian and Ken and disturbing her was the last thing he’d do.
"Oh, I see what you mean. You think I told Sebastian about your location?" Ezra asked.
Nicholas scoffed, "Of course, you’ve been texting Nana all these years behind our back. I mean, it was fine if she told you, no one gives a shit if you’re in Paris, but did you have to tell Sebastian?" He glared at Ezra.
"You’ve not changed... say hurtful words to me, accuse me wrongly, do you still hate me?" Ezra questioned in a quiet voice.
Nicholas wasn’t expecting such a quick change of topic, but he realized that Ezra was guilty and was trying to cover it up with something else.
"Just answer my question, why did you tell Sebastian about Zeno’s location?" Nicholas stared at Ezra, unblinking.
"I didn’t... I’d never betray you, Nicholas, friends don’t-"
"We’re not friends," He pointed at Ezra’s face.
Ezra slowly nodded, "Okay... just know, I never told Sebastian about anything. He has his means; it’s Sebastian we are talking about; he figured it out himself; you cannot go ask him if you don’t believe me," He informed.
"Fine, I will, trust me," Nicholas said and turned to leave but Ezra held his wrist.
"Sorry, I’m sorry," Ezra pulled his hand away from Nicholas as he received a glare for touching him.
"I... can I ask you something?" Ezra took a step closer to Nicholas.
Nicholas frowned, "What?" He looked at Ezra’s unreadable face.
"Do you still hate me? Be honest, Nicholas. Hate is a strong word to use, and haring someone for over six years is no joke, maybe I’ve ignored your feelings for so long and always forced myself on you because I thought all this was a silly joke. But, if you really hate me, I’d like to know so I can give you the space you really need," Ezra put his hands in his pockets, not understanding why he was suddenly feeling nervous.
Nicholas was taken aback, " What’s gotten into you?" He smirked.
"I’m not joking, Nicholas, do you hate me?" Ezra asked again.
Nicholas clenched his fist, truly after all these years, did he still hate Ezra? He looked into Ezra’s eyes and saw him watching him quietly, waiting for his reply.
Why should he stop hating him? He never truly apologized for what he did.
"Yes, I hate you," Nicholas stated firmly.
He was shocked to see hurt flash across Ezra’s eyes but it was gone before he knew it.
Was Ezra hurt?
"Okay..." Ezra took a step back, "Then, I’m sorry for being insensitive over the years," his tone was flat, and his voice was neutral.
He nodded at Nicholas and walked away, going back into Zeno’s apartment.
Nicholas was left feeling confused. ’What’s wrong with him?’ He wondered.
He kept remembering the look he had seen in Ezra’s eyes, ’Was he hurt?’ He thought.
’Why?’ Nicholas rolled his eyes.
’Manipulation,’ he scoffed.
He didn’t believe anything Ezra said; he was very sure that he was the one who told Sebastian about Paris. How could Sebastian ever have randomly guessed which country Zeno’s location was?
That was why he was acting funny to cover up his mess, he knew Ezra, he’d come around, his annoying self could never stay away, and he’d always look for a way to annoy him.
He smirked and walked inside the house.
Sebastian was looking at Nicholas as he entered the house, his eyes going from him to Ezra, who was quietly sitting on a lone sofa.
He was smirking to himself, ’It’s about time these two realized themselves and faced their fucking feelings,’ he thought quietly.
He was amused, Ezra looked so abandoned, and Nicholas looked so... careless.
"I’ve just texted Zeno to buy a few sets of clothes for your friends, Nicholas. Do you mind asking him to come home already? It’s already time for bed, and little Ken here needs to sleep early, right, Ken?" Nana smiled at Ken.
Ken nodded, "Yes, Nana," he replied.
Sebastian was surprised to see Ken obeying, he would have given his hell if he were one to ask him to go to bed by 8 O’clock.
"Nicholas, please, take Ezra to your apartment; Ken will be occupying the guest room; come on, darling, I’ll show you to your room," She took Ken’s hand and led him away.
"Come on, Sebastian, let’s go," Nicholas said and turned to leave, he opened the door and realized that neither Sebastian nor Ezra was following him.
"Are you guys deaf? I said follow me, I’ll show you both where to sleep," He repeated.
Sebastian simply crossed his legs over, watching Nicholas,
"No, Sebastian, you can’t, leave Zeno alone. The poor guy’s trying to find a way to get away from him, yet you’re looking for ways to encroach on the last part of his privacy: his bed," Nicholas warned.
"He can’t get away from me, Nicholas... we all know that he knows it too," Sebastian said.
"You -"
"Let’s go," Ezra appeared behind him and walked out of the opened door.
"Goodnight, Nick," Sebastian smiled at Nicholas.
Nicholas muttered something under his breath and walked out of the house, shutting the door.
Inside Nicholas’ house, Ezra stood beside the closed door, watching Nicholas walk around his living room, picking up a few white notes that were scattered around the sofa.
"Where do I sleep?" Ezra asked.
Nicholas paused and looked at Ezra, noticing how he wasn’t even looking at him.
"This way..." Nicholas said.
Ezra followed him toward a small passage and opened a door for him.
"This is your room, unlike you, I have my guest room ready for anyone who needs it," Nicholas smirked at Ezra.
Ezra nodded, still not looking at Nicholas, "I appreciate it; goodnight," He gently walked past Nicholas and got inside the room, slowly closing his door.
"Hold on," Nicholas placed his hand on Ezra’s hand that was holding the side of the door.
Ezra looked at Nicholas with zero interest, "Yes?"
Nicholas frowned, "What’s with you? Why are you acting all... strange?" He questioned.
"I’m sorry if my actions make you uncomfortable, I know that harboring an enemy isn’t what you want and it’s fine if you want me to leave, but if you let me stay, I’ll be gone before you -"
"So this is how it is, huh?" Nicholas asked, brows raised.
"I don’t understand," Ezra said.
"You’re playing the cool guy who doesn’t talk to people, right?" Nicholas slowly pushed the door wider and stepped into the room.
Ezra took a step back, "Do you want an enemy talking to you? Won’t It irritate you?" He gazed at Nicholas, trying to ascertain his reaction.
Nicholas suddenly paused, "Oh... now I see, so, this is you keeping your distance from me because I hate you, huh?" He chuckled
"What else do you want me to do... kiss you?" Ezra narrowed his eyes at Nicholas.
Nicholas blinked away from him, "I know you, you’ll get bored of being a cool guy," He said, turning to leave.
"Goodnight, Nicholas," Ezra wished and closed the door.
"Weirdo," Nicholas said as he was in front of Ezra’s door.
**
Inside Zeno’s apartment, Sebastian had convinced Nana that he was okay sleeping in Zeno’s room, and Nana had agreed, showing him to Zeno’s room.
"Goodnight, Nana," He said to the old woman before closing the door.
Sebastian sighed as he faced Zeno’s room. ’So this is where you’ve been for a year,’ he quietly moved around the room, halting in front of the mirror.
He stared at himself and frowned, he’d failed Zeno over something he wasn’t supposed to get involved in.
He walked away from the mirror, went to Zeno’s wardrobe, and picked a sweatpant.
As he walked into the bathroom, he was determined to get Zeno to open up to him again, he knew his approach wasn’t the best, but the distance was killing him.
He’d been barely holding himself back from coming to find Zeno the day he left the country, he wanted to give him the space to figure himself out, and he too, needed the space to put things in order, now, he no longer cared if he’d put them in order, he just wanted Zeno, needed him.
After showering, Sebastian walked into the room to find Zeno sitting by the side of his bed, looking unhappy.
His heart twisted in his chest, he was responsible for that look on Zeno’s face; once, he’d been the person to take away that look from Zeno.
Zeno looked up when he heard Sebastian come out of the bathroom. He stated at him, his eyes slowly going down to the pants Sebastian was wearing.
He didn’t say a word; he simply watched Sebastian walk toward him, stopping right in front of him, "What do you want from me?" Zeno’s voice was tired, exhausted.
Sebastian sighed, "You." He replied honestly, stepping closer between Zeno’s legs.
Zeno slowly nodded, "We’re both adults, Sebastian; we know we can’t work; I can’t get back with you, you know that. Actually, we can actually not have arguments each time we meet, we just have to establish that a relationship is a topic that should never discussed between us because... I don’t love you," his eyes were locked on Sebastian as he spoke, observing how Sebastian’s eyes went from attentiveness to disapproval.
"I don’t believe that, Zeno," Sebastian wanted to lean low but Zeno stood, facing him.
"You’re allowed to believe what you want. Goodnight," Zeno said, not looking at Sebastian’s face.
"Then prove it," Sebastian immediately went to stand in Zeno’s way, his eyes roaming over Zeno.
"What do you mean?" Zeno asked.
"Kiss me... just you, kissing my lips, that’s all I’m asking," Sebastian suggested.
"Of course, I’d gladly kiss you, Mr. Sebastian," Zeno glared at him and walked toward the door.
Sebasian wasn’t having it, "Don’t walk out on me, Zeno," He pulled Zeno back and held the door with his hand to make sure he didn’t try to open the door.
Zeno inhaled, "I don’t answer to you, anymore, boss... I don’t want to escalate this," He warned.
Sebastian smirked down at Zeno, "I dare you to kiss me, Zeno... if you really don’t have feelings for me, kiss me," He placed a hand under Zeno’s chin, his warm breath ghosted against Zeno’s lips, the space between them vanishing, thick with something unspoken.
"Get your hands off me," Zeno seethed.
Sebastian took a slow step back but didn’t clear Zeno’s path, his eyes flicked to the gun in Zeno’s hands, "Shoot me, or kiss me, Zeno; I dare you," He locked his eyes on Zeno’s, his emotions raw and open.
He was turned on, his eyes were darkened, and his breath turned shallow and hotter.
Chapter 164
"So, basically, you’re telling me that Zeno beat you?" Ezra asked as he stood in front of Sebastian’s car, staring at his black eye.
Sebastian leaned against his car, his hands in his pockets, "That’s not what I said," he frowned.
"Mm, how many times did you say he hit you?" Ezra asked, raising a brow at Sebastian.
"Three," Sebastian replied.
"Then that’s beating," Ezra went over to Sebastian and patted his shoulder.
Sebastian was mute, gritting his teeth angrily.
It’s been three hours since he left Zeno’s place, and ever since, Ezra hasn’t stopped mocking him for his ordeal.
When Zeno had kissed him last night, he’d been very sure that everything would be back to normal between them; he didn’t expect Zeno to suddenly ask him about his engagement with Sakura.
He wanted to lie and tell him that there was nothing between them, but he didn’t, he wanted to be open with him. The moment he told Zeno that he was still very much engaged to Sakura, he never expected the heavy punches that landed on his face.
Three punches for three reasons: first one, for trying to play with his feelings again; second one, for hurting him; third one, for cheating on Sakura.
Zeno had said respectively to each punch, and after that, he left the house. He didn’t see him till he left with Ken the next morning.
Nana had asked what happened to his eyes and he had told her he slipped in the shower and fell. He couldn’t tell her that her grandson had beaten him in the wee hours of the night.
"See you tonight, friend, hopefully, you come back in one piece," Ezra smiled and went over to his car.
Sebastian sighed and entered his car. They had stopped for lunch in a restaurant and decided to hang around since they had nothing to do, but now, he was alone once again, Ken was long gone, leaving him to his own devices.
He pocked his phone and texted Gerald, one way or the other, he was seeing Zeno tonight.
***
Nicholas was in Zeno’s gym that afternoon, idly watching him run a treadmill. He looked preoccupied, and he guessed that was how he’d looked while he was running, too.
He was done with his own exercise, and he wasn’t even sure if he felt the burn; his body felt dull and dumb to the strains he was supposed to feel.
He was feeling tired, and it wasn’t from the exercise; when he tried to think about what was bothering him, he would only get frustrated because Ezra’s face would be the only thing coming to his mind.
He was getting under his skin with his new attitude, he had only said a simple morning that morning and walked out to Zeno’s apartment to wait for Sebastian.
He didn’t even take the damn coffee he made for him, so much for wasting his time in brewing a perfect coffee.
Ezra was completely avoiding Nicholas, which was supposed to be fine by Nicholas, but why was Ezra’s sad face popping into his head? He couldn’t stop thinking that Ezra looked weird when he asked him if he hated him.
"Hi," A voice said behind Nicholas.
Nicholas blinked and slowly turned to see who it was, "Oh, hi, Zen," He smiled at the young man.
"Tired?" Zen asked, sitting beside Nicholas on the bench.
Nicholas sighed, "Not really," He replied.
"I see, you look quite tired... emotionally," Zen said.
Nicholas chuckled, "You’re quite an observer, huh?" He smirked at Zen.
"Well, you can say that; want to share? What’s on your mind?" Zen questioned.
Nicholas wanted to say no, but he decided to actually speak to someone about it; Zen didn’t know Ezra, so it wouldn’t cause any harm.
"Um, I hate someone, I’ve hated them for years... I tell this person to stay away at every little chance I get, I tell him how annoying he is and how I hate doing things together with him. But he actually listened to me for the first time and now, he’s keeping his distance from me, not speaking to me, not even looking at me," Nicholas sighed after speaking, he felt a little better speaking about how he truly felt without having to mince his words because he feared people might know who he was talking about.
"Um... okay. I have four speculations: firstly, you never meant any of those things; secondly, you like this person and are missing his presence in your life; thirdly, you’ve been saying all things for a long time to convince yourself that you truly hate him and not falling in love with who you’re supposed to hate; fourth, this person is already your boyfriend or an ex and you’re currently having a fight with them. So pick one," Zen smiled at Nicholas.
Nicholas scoffed, "Are you for real? No, I meant all I said, I don’t like him, I don’t miss him, and he’s neither my ex nor my boyfriend," he stated.
Zen frowned, "Denial," He smiled.
"Always keep in mind that I’m a psychologist; I just gave you a free consultation; keep me posted on your brewing steamy romance, that is, if you haven’t succeeded in pushing him into someone else’s arms... I bet he’s hot," Zen stood and waved at Nicholas.
"See you soon," He winked at him and went over to speak to Zeno.
"Spewing nonsense," Nicholas muttered, eyeing Zen with regret.
He should have just kept his mouth shut; now Zen had dumped a whole new set of ideas into his head.
’Ezra is not hot, even if he were, he wasn’t his spec, he hated him, period,’ he stood and walked over to Zeno, who was waving him over.
"Done? Ready to go home?" Nicholas asked as he handed Zeno his towel, ignoring Zen, who was giving him a judging look.
Zeno was sweating all over, his white shirt glued to his wet skin, "Yeah. I’ll be at the club in the night but I don’t think I’ll be working tonight," He said as he walked toward the exit.
"Oh, that’s okay, we can just chill together then," Nicholas replied.
"Am I invited?" Zen questioned as he followed them behind.
"No," Nicholas refused.
He didn’t want Zen coming that night, he might run into Ezra, and being the nosy psychologist he was, he might put one and two together and find something out from the way Ezra behaved around him.
He didn’t need someone spreading fake news.
"You can come; an additional person would be fun," Zeno said as they walked out of the gym building.
"Of course, I’m always fun to be with," Zen laughed at Nicholas’ disagreeing expression.
"See you tonight, Zen," Zeno said and got in his car.
"Why did you have to ask him to come?" Nicholas asked as they drove away.
"So he’d keep you company since I’ll be busy discussing business with Gerald; remember Leroy’s family business I was helping them with? The guy texted me and asked to meet in the club tonight," Zeno explained.
Nicholas frowned, "So that means you’re meeting up with Sebastian," He stated.
Zeno nodded, "I know." He shrugged.
Nicholas stared at Zeno’s face, "And you’re okay with it?" He questioned.
Zeno nodded, "Yeah, I already told you what happened last night, I’ve let myself get distracted, Nick, and I’m done for real this time. I’m not going to care about Sebastian anymore; I can’t deal with his complications." He responded.
Nicholas sighed, "They shouldn’t have come, they’re causing a lot of trouble already," He murmured.
"No, it’s really fine, they can only cause trouble if you attach importance to them. I’m going to blame Sebastian entirely for last night; I played a part in fooling myself for the second time; I wanted what I knew I could never have; I guess I just wanted to remind myself why I left him; it was a good wake-up call," He smiled sadly.
Nicholas turned his face away and looked out of the window, ’They can only cause you trouble if you attach importance to them.’ He repeated Zeno’s words inside his head.
’Does it mean I’m attaching great importance to Ezra? Was that why he was troubling me with his presence? Even in his absence, I feel troubled by him,’
"Shit," Nicholas gently slapped the arm of the chair.
"Are you okay?" Zeno asked, glancing at him before focusing on the road.
Nicholas balled his fists, "I’m fine, just... thinking about some personal shit," He replied.
Zeno nodded, "We all are," He smiled, the smile not reaching his eyes.
’Fuck!’ Nicholas cursed quietly.
Could what Zen said be true? Then why did it have to be so? When did it happen? He shook his head, ’Impossible,’
He couldn’t remain like this, he was going to speak to Ezra tonight, and he would ask him about the important question that had been playing around his mind since Zen said those words to him.
Chapter 165
Zeno was feeling... well, whatever. If that’s even a feeling, but that was the only way he could describe his feelings that night.
As he stood in front of the club, he was already feeling overwhelmed before stepping inside.
A place that used to be where he came to unwind and laugh was now a place that bore down a heavy sense of sadness on him.
Sebastian, Cassian, Leon, we’re all in there waiting on him while all he wanted was to be left alone. He would have withdrawn from Cassian’s family business but he’d signed a contract with Mr. Leroy, and it wouldn’t speak well of his image if he did so.
He closed his eyes, and only the wind and the sounds of car horns from the night street invaded his mind completely; he needed to let go of most of his toxic thoughts if he wanted to act normal tonight; if not, he’d just be zoned out the whole time.
’I’ve got this,’ He hyped himself.
"Why are you standing here?" Zen’s voice asked behind him.
"Mind your business tonight, Zen," Nicholas came up beside Zeno and looked at his face.
"Hey, I told you not to let him come; you see now? He’s already poke-nosing," He sighed.
"Let’s go, guys, and Zen, do try to stay away from people’s affairs," Zeno sighed, walking in without looking at any of his friends.
"I’ll try," Zen smirked at Nicholas before walking in behind Zeno.
Nicholas followed, feeling like something was about to happen to one of them tonight. He couldn’t tell if it was him, Zeno, or any other person, but he could feel it; something was cooking.
"Zeno, I think someone’s asked for you, that guy over there," Baby met Zeno as he entered the club.
Zeno looked to where she had pointed and saw Leon sitting alone in a booth.
"Thanks, Baby, I’ll go say hi," He said and walked over to Leon.
As he walked toward Leon, he caught sight of Cassian sitting farther down the club, his booth seemed to be filled up, and he could see Sebastian’s thighs sitting opposite Cassian’s chair. They were probably waiting for him.
"Hey, Good evening, Leon. Heard you asked of me," Zeno greeted as he reached Leon’s booth.
Leon smiled at Zeno, but his smile faded when he saw the sad look on Zeno’s face.
He stood and and held Zeno’s hand, "Hey, what’s wrong, Zeno? Trust me, I can drop the cool guy look and the flirting and be just a friend who listens for the night, should we do that?" He asked softly, tilting Zeno’s face up.
Zeno smiled, "You don’t have to do that; I’m fine, really; I’m just a little stressed," He assured.
Leon smiled, "Do you want to know what I think?" He asked.
"What?" Zeno raised a brow.
"I think you’re a pretty little liar," Leon smirked, "It’s Sebastian... you’re not over him. I’ve seen him over there, he’s probably waiting for you, am I right?" He questioned.
Zeno chuckled, "Yeah... you’re right. I’m not over him, but, I thought I was." He placed his hand over Leon on his cheek and slowly brought it down, not releasing it.
"I’m hurting, I hate him, yet I love him at the same time; it’s toxic, I know, but I can’t help it. I want to hate him, I really want to hate him, but right now, knowing that he’s right there waiting for me... excites me; I hate myself for feeling this way, my head hurts, my heart hurts. I don’t know what to do," He chuckled sadly, "I’m sorry for offloading such unnecessary information on you, it’s none of your business," He sighed.
Leon was quiet for a while, "I like that you told me, it means you trust me enough to share your problems with me." His green eyes slowly ran over Zeno’s face and he realized that he really liked him.
Zeno nodded.
"Do you want to get over Sebastian?" Leon narrowed his eyes at Zeno.
Zeno hesitated before answering, "I do," He did; he needed to let go of Sebastian to find his peace; he’d hovered over him for so long.
"Then, let me help you. However, this is not a case of a pretend relationship; this is a case of you opening your heart to me and allowing me to try to heal you. I do like you, Zeno, and I’m not going to lie, it stung hearing you say that you’re still hung up on that asshole, but let me try, okay? Let me replace those memories with something better, alright?" Leon spoke softly, massaging the back of Zeno’s hand.
Zeno took in a deep breath. Replacing Sebastian’s memories with Leon’s? Was that possible? Of course it was, this was him just being sentimental.
"We can try," Zeno said in a quiet voice, "I don’t want to be with someone who won’t place me first, who makes me a second option... a secret," His fists were balled as he thought back to how Sebastian had asked him to leave his house, so full of hatred and despise.
Leon stepped closer to Zeno, staring into his eyes, "I’ll place you first, you’re always a first option, Zeno, and did you say secret? Not with me, I’ll make sure that every single soul I come across in this world knows about my sexy, cute, and handsome partner... I’m possessive, Zeno, I’ll want to be with you as much as possible. I just have one wish," His hand went behind Zeno’s neck, his face tilting to the side as he leaned closer.
Zeno blinked, holding Leon’s shoulders, "What’s your wish?" He questioned.
"See me first. Whenever Sebastian’s image wants to return to you, see me first; only that way can you truly develop feelings for me. If you keep letting his memories form and settle, you might just end up breaking my own heart. I love deep, Zeno, and this is me, asking you not to hurt me," He whispered against Zeno’s lips.
Zeno could see the vulnerable look in Leon’s eyes; he might look dangerous, but he had a big heart and a kind soul. He covered the space between them and kissed Leon’s cheek, "I’ll try," He smiled.
Leon smiled, "Damn, you’re making me shy, that’s not good for my image," He chuckled.
"If you both are done, Zeno, we have a business to attend to," Sebastian’s dark voice spoke behind Leon.
Zeno stiffened in Leon’s arms, causing him to frown. Leon knew he had to find a way to stop Zeno from reacting to Sebastian.
"I’ll see you later," Zeno said to Leon and stepped away from him.
Leon nodded, "Can I follow?" He whispered.
Zeno was about to reply when Sebastian interrupted, "No, you can’t, I said business meeting, not a date," Sebastian looked at Zeno and said, "Gerald’s waiting, Zeno," He said and walked back to his booth.
"I’m sorry," Zeno apologized.
Leon nodded slowly, "Don’t beat yourself up; I’ll be right here waiting for you; you owe me a drink," he patted Zeno’s arms and stepped out of his way.
Zeno nodded firmly, "See you," He said before walking toward Sebastian’s booth.
He reached and made sure his back was to Sebastian, "Good evening, Cassian, Mr. Gerald," Zeno shook the man’s hand and then shook Cassian’s.
"Good Evening, Zeno," Cassian kissed the back of Zeno’s hand.
"Good to see you, Zeno, please, sit," Geral pointed to the space beside Sebastian.
He bit his lip before slowly turning to look at Sebastian, who had his face set hard and unreadable.
He moved over to the chair and lowered himself beside Sebastian, making sure his body didn’t touch his.
"What’s this meeting about?" Zeno asked, placing his hands on the table, his face remained straight, avoiding turning to the side because of Sebastian.
"I’m curious too, Gerald was the one who called us here," Cassian said, looking at Gerald beside him.
Gerald nodded, "As we all know, work has commenced at the resort, and due to Mr. Sebastian’s fund efficiency, the place will be ready in no time. As to why I’ve called us all here, I just wanted to invite you all to my birthday tomorrow night; I know, I know, I could have just sent an invite, but I want to be friends outside of work; that’s why I’ve asked to meet here. Last but not least, Mr. Sebastian mentioned to me that he had something to say, too," Gerald finished and looked over to Sebastian.
Cassian was curious to know what Sebastian wanted to ask of him, "What could be the problem, Mr. Sebastian?" He asked.
Sebastian glanced at Zeno, smirking because he knew he was about to shake his world up.
"Do you like Zeno?" He questioned casually.
Everyone froze; Gerald looked thrown off, Cassain was stunned, and Zeno was shocked to the bones.
Zeno snapped his head to the side and looked at Sebastian, "What are you doing?" He asked quietly.
"This isn’t business-"
"Gerald just said we’re friends, are we not?" His brows were raised in a threatening manner.
"Sebastian," Zeno gritted between his teeth, his hand tapping the side of Sebastian’s thigh, secretly asking him to quit whatever he was doing.
However, Sebastian grabbed his hand under the table and placed it on top of his thigh, slowly taking Zeno’s hand higher on his thigh.
Zeno froze, ’Not this again.’
Maybe he should have let Leon come with him, this wasn’t what someone who wanted to forget someone should be doing. The problem was, he didn’t try fighting, he was starting to enjoy the thrill.
Fuck, he needed Leon, ASAP.
"Of course, we are, right, Cassain?" Gerald asked, giving Cassian a stern look.
Cassian slowly nodded, "We are, and I do like Zeno, Mr. Sebastian," He replied.
Sebastian smirked, taking Zeno’s hand right to his cock, and slowly removed his hand from Zeno’s, and as he expected, Zeno didn’t move his hand away; he left it there, slowly starting to graze his fingers over Sebastian’s cock.
This wasn’t healthy at all, and Zeno knew it yet he couldn’t help it.
"I appreciate your honesty, but you can hold back your feelings now because Zeno’s my -"
"Ex, Cassian, I’m his ex," Zeno snapped out of it and placed his two hands on the top of the table.
He knew Sebastian wanted to tell them that they were dating, so he intervened; at least telling them that he once dated Sebastian would make them understand the strained relationship between them instead of allowing Sebastian to create a forced proximity between them.
And, Zeno believed that it would also clear Cassian’s questions on how he got to be so close with Sebastian’s son and bodyguards.
"Well, technically, he’s my ex... for now. I plan on getting him back," Sebastian faced Zeno, "I plan on making you love me a-"
"Are you done here, Zeno?" Leon suddenly appeared Zeno, his hands stretched to Zeno.
Zeno immediately stood, taking Leon’s hand.
’Right timing,’ he sighed.
"Yes, I’ll see you at your party, Mr. Gerald, have a good night, Cassian," He said and let Leon lead him away from the booth.
Sebastian was left speechless, his fists balled, his heart full of hot, spicy, jealousy.
Chapter 166
Sebastian stood in front of the club, eyeing Leon’s car with a smirk.
It’s safe to say that he now had a flat tire; there was no means for him to take someone anywhere if he was ever planning to.
"You know, maybe you should just let Zeno go; he’s happy with Leon," Ezra, who was standing beside him, said in a calm voice.
Sebastian slowly turned and faced Ezra, "Oh? I didn’t seem to hear you, can you repeat what you said?" He asked, a gun pointed to Ezra’s face.
Ezra smirked, "Let the boy go, Sebastian, and take this trash out of my face," He scoffed and pushed the gun away from his face.
Sebastian cursed under his breath, "No, Ezra. I can’t, you know it, you know how hard it’s been for me this past year, living my life without him had been very difficult... meaningless," He threw his smoke to the ground and stumped on it.
"Then, my dear friend. Tell him what’s really going on; I mean, even though I don’t know what’s going on, all I know one that you’re still very much engaged to Sakura, plus she has a freaking baby for you, Sebastian. Listen, just let Zeno go, the thought of how you put your third leg into someone else would never let him come back to you," Ezra advised.
"Look who’s talking, how about you try to settle your situation first before coming for me," Sebastian raised a brow at him.
Ezra frowned, "What do you mean?" He asked.
"Jean? Why is he here? What are you trying to say?" Sebastian stared hard at Ezra, daring him to lie.
"Jean? You know why he’s here, Sebastian, come on, don’t try to weave around our discussions. I’m not the petty one who deflated someone’s tires," Ezra pointed to Leon’s car parked in front of the building.
Sebastian scoffed, turning away from Ezra and walking back into the club, he’d left Zeno and Leon unmonitored for so long.
"Stubborn," Ezra muttered and followed him in.
Nicholas was sitting with Zen, sharing a bottle of wine, "So, when’s your guy going to show up? Or has he found someone else like I said?" Zen questioned, filling his glass up.
Nicholas gritted his teeth, this was the tenth time Zen was asking him that stupid question, and this was the reason why he never wanted him to come to his club in the first place.
"Leave me alone, Zen; go hook up with someone or something," He replied.
"Nah, I’m here to keep you company till your soldier decides to show up," Zen winked at Nicholas and sipped his drink.
Nicholas opened his mouth to say something but closed it immediately when he saw the person walking up to them behind Zen.
"No way..." He muttered.
Zen furrowed his brows as he saw Nicholas staring past him, he leaned out and turned his neck around to see who was coming.
"That’s him?" Zen asked, disappointed.
"Come on, man, I thought it was some handsome, cool, sexy man, not some cute daddy’s boy... I mean, don’t get me wrong, he’s fine as fuck but not just as I -"
"Shut up, Zen," Nicholas kicked him under the table as the guy came closer.
"Ouch!" Zen gritted his teeth, glaring at Nicholas.
Nicholas immediately stood, seeing that the handsome guy had stopped a booth away from theirs, looking lost.
He took a deep breath and walked up to him, "Jean?" He tapped his shoulder as he stood behind him.
Jean turned and gasped when he saw Nicholas, "Oh my God, Nick!" He smiled widely and hugged Nicholas tightly.
"Hi, Jean, what a surprise," Nicholas chuckled.
Jean released Nicholas, smiling still. He looked around the club and back at Nicholas, "Yes, it’s been six years; I never thought I’d see you again after college; this place is so nice; he said you owned the place, right?" Jean asked, impressed by what he was seeing.
Nicholas frowned, "Um, yes, the place is mine, but who did you say told you?" He gently held Jean’s hand and led him toward Zen.
"Ezra, you remember Ezra, right? He surprisingly reached out to me yesterday and asked to come here, he even booked my flight for me, I had just arrived in Paris from Italy, and I had just spoken to him over there, he was with Sebastian, man, trust me, I’m really overwhelmed for the Reunion," Jean informed with excitement.
"Reunion?" Nicholas asked.
Jean nodded, "Yeah, you’ve not been invited? Ezra invited some college friends for a reunion this weekend that’s why I’m here, but I’m so happy to see you," Jean hugged Nicholas again.
Nicholas was boiling with anger, but he didn’t even know the reason for his anger. However, he knew he needed to speak to Ezra as a matter of urgency.
"Um... did Ezra say anything to you?" He asked cautiously, careful not to leak any information he wasn’t supposed to.
Jean frowned, "Huh? Unless you’re talking about the reunion, then there was nothing more. Is everything okay?" He questioned.
Nicholas nodded, "Yeah, I’ll be right back, Zen; please keep him company; drinks on the house," Nicholas drew Jean closer to see Zen, who was sitting in the booth.
"I got it, captain, he’s in good hands," Zen winked at Jean before asking him to sit down.
Nicholas immediately left them and walked toward the place where Ezra and Sebastian were sitting. He didn’t care if Zen wanted to flirt with Jean, it was none of his business.
He slowed his pace as he got Ezra, his eyes locking in on how concentrated he was speaking to Sebastian.
"Ezra," Nicholas called, placing his hands down on the table and staring at Ezra.
Ezra looked up at Nicholas and frowned, "Do you need to speak to me?" He asked calmly.
Nicholas clenched his jaws, hating the way Ezra was speaking to him as if he was a stranger.
"Yes," He said.
"Go ahead," Ezra pointed to the space beside Sebastian, asking him to sit.
Sebastian was busy looking from one man to the other, sighing in disappointment.
"I need to speak to you in private, Ezra," Nicholas stated.
"But why? You can just -"
"Now, Ezra," He slammed his fist on the table.
"Okay, okay, chill, no need to cause a scene," Ezra slowly stood, giving Sebastian a confused look.
Sebastian simply sipped his wine, minding his business.
Nicholas walked away, not forgetting to give Ezra a death glare.
Exra followed Nicholas into a dim hallway. He thought they’d stop there, but he saw Nicholas walking up the stairs and paused at the foot of the stairs.
Nicholas realized that Ezra had paused and stopped, turning to look down the stairs.
"Why did you stop?" Nicholas asked, frowning.
Ezra shrugged, "Where are you taking me?" He asked.
"I told you I needed to speak to you," Nicholas replied.
Ezra nodded, "I know, but I think this place is quiet enough. Say what you have to say, and I’ll be gone," He stated.
Nicholas angrily walked back down and stood in front of Ezra, "What’s really wrong with you?" He ataredcat Ezra’s face.
"I don’t understand your question, I’m perfectly fine," He shrugged.
Nicholas scoffed, "Really? Then why do I feel like you’re..." He paused, balling his fists.
Ezra blinked slowly, "Like what? What do you feel, Nicholas?" He locked his eyes with him, waiting for his encrypted reply.
Nicholas sighed, "I... I feel like you’re deliberately avoiding me," He said.
Ezra closed his eyes for a second, "Shouldn’t I? Nicholas? You hate me, remember? You asked for this space, what do you want me to do? Keep forcing myself on you and keep getting insults from you?" He moved up the one stair separating them and looked up at Nicholas since he was on a higher stair.
"I don’t know what else you want from me; I’m just minding my business, yet here you are, bothering me," Ezra said in a tired voice.
Nicholas rolled his eyes, "Minding your business? If you were minding your business Jean wouldn’t be here. Do you mind telling me what you mean by bringing him to my club?" His tone was brisk, yet his eyes were searching for something on Ezra’s face.
"I did it for you, Nicholas, I thought you’d be happy. Take it as my redemption for what I did to you in college; maybe you’ll forgive me when you finally get together with the person you like," He explained.
Nicholas brought his hand up and grabbed Ezra’s collar, "You don’t know what I want, Ezra, stop making decisions on my behalf, you understand?" He said between gritted teeth.
Ezra took a deep breath, "I hear you, Nicholas. Seems like I’ve just done yet another you don’t like, I’m sorry," He placed his hand over Nicholas’ and tried to remove it from his collar
"I’m not done speaking to you," Nicholas tightened his hand on Ezra’s collar.
Ezra sighed, "What’s more, Nicholas? I need to leave," He said.
Nicholas looked pissed, "I don’t like your attitude, Ezra... why are you acting stupid?" He shook Ezra.
"Stop, Nicholas. Enough, get your hands off me," Ezra’s face hardened.
"No, fucking answer me, do you like me?" Nicholas asked, looking right into Ezra’s eyes.
Ezra clenched his jaws before placing his hand behind Nicholas’ neck, "Why ask such a question to an enemy, Nicholas?" His eyes lowered to Nicholas’ lips.
"Do you want me to like you?" He whispered against Nicholas’ lips.
Nicholas gulped, the place Ezra was touching behind his neck was starting to tingle, "Answer my questions first," He replied in a breathy tone.
"Okay," Ezra said and to Nicholas’ shock, Ezra kissed him.
Chapter 167
Zeno was standing in a small decorated hall with Nicholas, looking around the group now people who were gathered for Gerald’s birthday.
"What are you looking for? Or, who are you looking for?" Zeno questioned, staring at Nicholas.
Nicholas snapped his head to Zeno, "What do you mean?" He frowned.
"I mean, you’ve been weird since yesterday, and the whole of today, and this night, you’re here looking as if you’re an FBI searching for a criminal," Zeno pointed out.
Nicholas frowned, "I don’t know what you’re talking about," He denied.
Zeno hummed, "If you say so," He shrugged.
Nichola, did, in fact, know what Zeno was talking about; it was all about Nicholas.
After Nicholas had kissed him last night, he had left him on the stairs without a word, and the next thing he received was a text from Nicholas: "Come to me if you feel the same way."
It had infuriated him.
Nicholas would never go to Ezra because he didn’t feel the same way... right?
He was angry at Ezra for daring to kiss him and worse, daring to think that he’d feel the same way for him.
"There’s Ezra," Zeno said to him.
Nicholas’ heart immediately jumped out of his chest the moment he saw Ezra walking into the hall.
’Damn, why is he extra hot tonight?’ He gulped.
Nicholas snapped his head to another side as he saw Ezra walking toward them.
"Let’s go somewhere else," Nicholas tapped Zeno’s arm.
Zeno frowned, "Why? Ezra’s coming to us, don’t you want to speak to him?" He asked.
"I don’t," He said and walked away before Ezra could reach them.
Zeno stared at him in confusion. He knew Nicholas wasn’t really best friends with Ezra, but he normally held a conversation with him. he didn’t even want to face him; something was fishy between them.
"Hi, Zeno," Ezra greeted, shaking Zeno’s hand.
"Hi, Ezra, have you seen Gerald?" He asked.
Ezra shook his head, "No, he’s probably busy with the guest, but I’ve seen Sebastian and..." He paused, watching Zeno’s face.
Zeno’s face changed; he frowned, staring at Ezra’s face, "And what, Ezra?" He asked.
Ezra sighed, "And, he asked me to ask you to meet him, Zeno. This is me begging you to meet him, please?" Ezra held Zeno’s hand.
"I know you don’t like him very much at the moment, but I’m his friend, and I know that Sebastian has a reason for everything he does. Just listen to what he has to say; after speaking to him tonight and still choosing to stay away from him, then it’s fine; that means you were never meant t to be with him," Ezra pleaded on Sebastian’s behind.
Zeno was quiet, he didn’t want to go, but he also wanted to know what Sebastian had to say.
He wanted to know if there was ever going to be any reason that could justify Sebastian’s actions toward him in the past, he’s been hurt, so hurt that he never believed there was anything that could make him forgive Sebastian.
"What if I refuse?" Zeno asked.
Ezra shrugged, "You’ll continue to hate him without truly learning why the breakup happened between you two," He stated.
Zeno muttered something under his breath, "Where is he?" He looked around.
"Outside, in his car... he might want to take you for a ride, find somewhere quiet to talk," He informed.
Zeno slowly nodded, "Okay," He replied and walked away.
’I shouldn’t be doing this,’ He thought to himself as he walked across the hall.
His mind kept racing as he thought of what Sebastian had to tell him, would he really forgive him? Could they ever go back to how they were?
His spirit was getting excited, yet he was feeling sad and scared at the same time.
What if he could never forgive Sebastian? He would really have to let him go this time around; both of them needed time and space to heal.
"Hi, Zeno, you did come," Gerald stepped in front of Zeno as he was halfway across the hall.
Zeno paused, "Happy birthday, Gerald, I already dropped a present for you; I know it’s childish, but I just thought you’d Luke it anyway, " Zeno mentioned, smiling.
Gerald smiled, "Of course, I’ll like it; it’s the thought that matters. Have a few drinks with me?" He asked.
Zeno wanted to refuse, but he remembered that it was Gerald’s birthday; he couldn’t refuse him.
"Okay," He nodded.
"Awesome, right this way, I have a few friends gathered in a room," Gerald said and started walking farther away from the exit.
Zeno turned and glanced at the exit before following Gerald to walk into the room filled with unknown faces.
He hoped Sebastian would still be out there by the time he’d be out.
He wasn’t going to mate time there, just a glass of wine and he’d be out.
"Please sit," Gerald drew out a chair for Zeno, waving a servant over to pour wind into Zeno’s wineglass.
"Here you are, sir," The lady poured the wine and offered it to Zeno.
"Thank you," Zeno said.
Gerald suddenly clicked the ring on his glass, making a ringing sound all over the room.
"Everyone, let’s make a toast to long life," He announced and raised his glass above his head.
Everyone gathered around him and cheered, "To long life!" They all choruses and clinked their glass together, wishing Gerald a happy birthday.
"Hello, Zeno," Leon tapped behind Zeno’s shoulder.
Zeno looked back with surprise, "Leon, what are you doing here?" He asked, a little frown marking his face.
He never knew that Leon was also acquainted with Gerald, and he’d never mentioned it to him, not even after seeing him at the club that night.
Leon chuckled, "Mutual friends," Leon replied and clicked his glass with Zeno’s.
Zeno nodded, "Okay," he gulped his drink down and placed it down on the table.
"Um, I have to go, I have something to -"
"One drink? Please, just have one drink with me tonight, and I’ll let you go, please?" Leon held Zeno back by his arm.
Zeno was conflicted, "Just one?" He asked, looking into Leon’s eyes.
Leon nodded and carried off a filled glass from the table, "I promise, just this one," He said and handed the drink to Zeno.
Zeno reluctantly took the drink from him and sipped it.
"Mind stepping out on the balcony?" Leon questioned calmly, placing a hand on Zeno’s lower back.
Zeno shrugged, "Okay," He replied.
He didn’t plan on finishing the drink in his hand; maybe he’d just speak with Leon for a few minutes, then he’d leave.
Leon nodded and led Zeno out to the balcony.
***
Sebastian was standing beside his car, feeling stood up. He was expecting to see Zeno the moment Ezra had entered the hall, but it had been thirty minutes, and he’d not seen him.
Was Zeno not really interested in him anymore? Was he really done with him? With them?
He called Ezra’s phone, "Hello? Did you speak to him?" He asked.
"Yes, I thought you were calling to tell me you’ve got your baby girl back?" Ezra questioned through the phone.
Sebastian chuckled sadly, "I wish... I guess he’s really done with me. He didn’t show up, Ezra, I guess that’s my response," He sighed.
Ezra was quiet for a while. "I’m sorry, Sebastian. I thought he’d at least give you one last chance," he mentioned.
Sebastian nodded, "I’m fine, goodnight," he replied and ended the call.
He took a deep breath and leaned his fave in his car, closing his eyes for a moment.
"Fuck..." he muttered.
His eyes felt hot and he immediately wiped it with the back of his hand.
He wouldn’t cry; it wasn’t good for his image; maybe he shouldn’t have done it; he should’ve gotten engaged with Sakura in the first place; by now, he would’ve still had Zeno beside him, loving only him.
He fucked it all up, now his nemesis was really catching up on him.
"Boss?" Ida called from behind Sebastian.
Sebastian sighed and turned to Ida, "What’s the problem?" He questioned with an emotionless face.
Ida hesitated for a while before he spoke, "I know it’s not my business, but I saw Zeno leaving with a man," he informed.
Sebastian’s ears perked up, "What did you say?" He questioned.
"I couldn’t identify the man so I took a picture," Ida handed him his phone.
Sebastian grabbed it away from his hand and looked at the picture, "Son of a bitch," He cursed.
"What’s your order, boss?" Ida asked.
"Get Nicholas out here immediately, he knows where that fucker lives," he barked angrily.
Ida bowed and immediately ran back into the house.
Sebastian was boiling in anger, he made up his mind to kill Leon if he saw him. When he saw the picture, he first thought that Zeno had willingly gone with Leon, but at a second glance, he saw that Zeno’s face looked completely wasted, almost drugged.
Chapter 168
Sebastian’s car was speeding through the road, his veins popped out of his hands as his hands tightened around the steering wheel.
Ezra and Nicholas were sitting in the car with him, with Nicholas in front and Ezra behind the car.
The car was quiet; everyone was shocked and disappointed in Leon; they never thought he’d do such a thing, and they all feared for him.
This was the last straw for Sebastian; he hated the guy, and doing this was just the trigger that Sebastian needed to snap at him.
Leon might just not be alive the next morning; judging by how Sebastian looked, he was ready to put a hole in Leon’s head the moment he set his eyes on him.
"You know, maybe you should just let -"
"Nicholas," Ezra called from behind, a warning for him to keep his mouth shut and not say that annoying thing he wanted to say to Sebastian.
"What?" Sebastian asked, not looking at him.
"Nothing, I think we’re almost there," Ezra replied instead.
Nicholas snapped his head to the back and glared at Ezra, he eyed him with hatred and returned his face to the front.
Ezra had been avoiding him since they got in Sebastian’s car, why was he suddenly speaking to him?
"That’s it," Ezra said, pointing to the luxurious apartment beside the road.
Sebastian immediately pulled over, turned off the car, and got out of it, "Apartment number?" He asked Nicholas.
Nicholas hesitated; he saw the look in Sebastian’s eyes and felt a little bad for Leon; he felt like he was betraying his friend, but if he didn’t speak, he’d be betraying Zeno more brutally.
"Nicholas!" Sebastian slammed his hand on top of his car, glaring at Nicholas.
"106," Nicholas sighed and got out of the car as well.
"I’ll take you there," He said and walked toward the building.
Ezra followed them, hoping no one died tonight.
Sebastian’s aura was choking Ezra and Nicholas as they stood in the elevator, each having a different thought about how everything might end tonight.
Ezra sighed as they walked out of the elevator, but his release was short-lived as they were immediately met with Leon’s apartment.
Nicholas went forward and knocked, surprised by how calm Sebastian was, he thought Sebastian would be knocking down Leon’s door the moment he saw it.
He knocked for the third time and the door was opened, "Hi, Nick, what are you - Shit!" Leon fell to the floor, clutching his bleeding thighs.
"Where is he?!" Sebastian easily pushed Nicholas out of the way and marched into Leon’s apartment, pointing his gun at Leon’s head.
"Calm down, it’s not what you -"
"Where the fuck is Zeno?!" He growled, his hand clutching the gun tightly, ready to fire again and this time, he’d go for the kill.
Leon groaned and sat up, biting his lips in pain, "Motherfucker! He’s in there, and I didn’t touch him; I never intended to touch him; he wouldn’t even let me touch him; he’s so in love with you that all he wants is you! Bastard!" He shut his eyes, cursing under his breath.
Sebastian paused after hearing Leon’s words, but he didn’t dwell on it, "Pray to God you really didn’t touch him, or else, you meet your father," Sebastian glared at him and walked into the room Leon pointed to.
"Don’t," Ezra held Nicholas back as he wanted to go and help Leon up.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?! He needs help!" Nicholas tried to drag his hand away from Ezra but he held on tightly.
"I’m a doctor, I know that, but we have to make sure Zeno’s really safe, what if he did something to Zeno? Would you still want to help him?" Ezra questioned.
"Just get away from me," Nicholas pushed Ezra away from him.
Inside the room, Sebastian went in and found Zeno lying on the bed, his face was frowned as if he wasn’t happy about something.
He quickly put his gun away, went over to the bed, and knelt beside Zeno; his eyes did a quick scan all over Zeno, his mind calming down a little when he realized that his clothes were all still intact.
He sighed and held Zeno’s arm; he needed to take him out of there. However, the moment his hands touched Zeno’s arm, he was pushed out of the bed, landing him unceremoniously on the floor.
"What the..." He sighed and got up, he wasn’t expecting such force from an unconscious person.
He tried again, lowering himself to drag Zeno out of the bed.
"I said leave me alone, I want Sebastian," Zeno snatched his hand away from Sebastian’s.
Sebastian’s heart shuddered in his chest, he forgot where he was for a second and just stared at Zeno’s face; he still had hope, Zeno still loved him, and if he thought of him in such a state, it meant he had never really forgotten him as he claimed, he’d always had him in mind.
He lowered his face and placed his hand beside Zeno’s face, "Hey, it’s me, Sebastian, I want to take you home," He whispered beside his ear.
Zeno frowned; he raised his hand and searched for Sebastian’s face; when he found it, he traced his fingers down to his lips, "It’s you..." He chuckled, "You hurt me," He said, pushing him away.
"I know... and I’m sorry. Just come home with me and we can talk in the morning," He pleaded, lifting Zeno from the bed.
Zeno let Sebastian carry him, wrapping his arms around his neck, "I feel hot..." Zeno muttered.
Sebastian paused as he reached the door, gritting his teeth; Leon really did drug Zeno and still dared to say he never intended to touch him, "Hang on, you’ll have a cold shower when we get home," He said and carried Zeno out of the room.
Sebastian walked back into the living room and saw Leon still sitting on the floor, pressing down on his bleeding thigh.
"Sebastian, you fucking shot me!" Leon barked as Sebastian carried Zeno out of the house without sparing him a glance.
Sebastian paused at the door, still not sparing Leon a glance, "Don’t rejoice yet until I make sure he’s okay," He said and walked out, leaving Ezra and Nicholas to either help or leave Leon; he didn’t care.
"Hot..." Zeno muttered again, snuggling closer to Sebastian’s chest.
Sebastian reached his car, quickly opened the front door, and gently placed Zeno inside, fixing the belts securely before he hurried over to the other side of the car and got in.
"Sebastian," Zeno lay his head on the window and smiled.
Sebastian sighed and hit the road.
He kept glancing at Zeno at every chance he got; he was careful not to overspeed to prevent Zeno from moving from side to side.
He glanced at Zeno and almost drove into the car in front of him; Zeno was trying to relieve himself, "Shit, Zeno, stop that," He slowed the car and used his one hand to hold Zeno’s hand that was trying to slip into his pants.
"I feel hot," Zeno frowned.
Sebastian gulped, "We’re almost home; I’ll give you a bath, just stop... it’s distracting me," he said with difficulty.
Zeno nodded but didn’t let Sebastian’s hand go, he kept it on his thigh, scratching his fingers over it.
Sebastian found it hard to concentrate for the rest of the drive; Zeno wasn’t listening; he kept trying to take his hand up to his center, but he didn’t let him.
He couldn’t let himself get carried away and do something with Zeno in this state, he’d definitely hate him the next morning.
If he wanted to do something with him, it’d be with his consent, eyes opened and all, not half drowsy and half awake.
He sighed in relief when he saw his house come into view; he quickly drove into his gate and parked his car in front of his home.
"Come on, let’s get you inside," Sebastian said as he opened Zeno’s door and removed the seat belt from Zeno.
"Carry me?" Zeno chuckled, raising his hands above his head.
"Sure," Sebastian replied and carried him out of the car.
"Boss, do you need me to help you?" Andre met Sebastian in front of the door.
Sebastian didn’t reply; he ignored Andre and carried him into the house.
"Tell Nana that Zeno’s with me," He ordered as he climbed up a short stairs.
"Yes, boss," Andre railed.
He watched as Sebastian carried Zeno away, smiling secretly, he could already imagine what would happen between them in Sebastian’s room.
He knew his boss wouldn’t be able to resist Zeno tonight; he’d been dying to get him back, and he hoped he used the opportunity well.
Inside Sebastian’s room, he gently placed Zeno on the bed and was about to lift himself, but Zeno drew him down by his shirt and wrapped his arms around his neck.
"Your room smells like you... sexy," He whispered.
Sebastian gulped, "Zeno you need to shower," He reminded.
Zeno nodded, "Yes, shower," his hand left Sebastian’s neck and slid down his stomach.
"Zeno, come on, listen to me, I need to get you under a running shower," He brought Zeno’s hand up, gently lifting him and placing his back on the headboard.
"Fine, a shower is fine... undress me, Seb," Zeno brought Sebastian’s hand and placed it on his zipper.
"Hurry, we have to get naked...for a shower," He smiled, biting his lips.
Sebastian inhaled softly, ’It’s just a shower,’ he assured himself before he proceeded to unzip Zeno’s pants.
Chapter 169
"Lift your waist, Zeno," Sebastian spoke softly.
Zeno obeyed, lifting his waist and letting Sebastian pull down his pants.
Sebastian placed the pants on the bed before returning to Zeno’s side, "Your shirt," He said.
Zeno raised his hand without speaking. He seemed like he was about to fall asleep, but Sebastian was determined to take him into the shower; a cool bath would help him sleep better.
He pulled Zeno’s shirt off his head and walked away from him, picking up his pants as he walked over to his wardrobe.
He looked back at Zeno and sighed in frustration when he saw Zeno slipping his hand into his pants. His eyes were still closed, but his hands were very aware of what he wanted.
Sebastian was tempted, highly tempted to just go over to the bed and give Zeno what he wanted, but he couldn’t; he wouldn’t; he would become the bad guy in the morning if Zeno realized what they’d done.
He removed his eyes from Zeno and quickly removed his clothes; he was getting under the shower with Zeno, so it was only natural he undressed himself, too.
He took a deep breath and walked back to Zeno, who was busily jerking himself off.
Sebastian felt himself reacting and paused beside Zeno, his eyes unable to leave the movement of Zeno’s hand inside his boxer... his hand involuntarily going to his cock, slowly massaging it.
He snapped out of his daze when he felt Zeno’s hand on his abdomen, he felt embarrassed at himself.
"Don’t stop..." Zeno said, pulling down his boxer and biting his lips, "You can touch me, Sebastian, it’s not coming down, please," Zeno begged, his hand on Sebastian’s abdomen slowly going down to his cock.
Sebastian sighed and removed Zeno’s hand, leaning his face down to his, "I’ll not stop you from pleasuring yourself, Zeno, all I’m asking is that you follow me into the shower, if you still want me by morning, then I’d have no power to refuse you, you’re not aware of your action now, you’ll blame me - shit!" Sebastian’s face flew to the side from Zeno’s harsh slap.
He held his cheek and returned his face to Zeno, "You slapped me," he chuckled, rubbing his cheeks.
Zeno pushed Sebastian away and brought his legs down to the floor, "I chose to slap you this time, no kisses for you; you’re not being nice right now," He frowned.
"You can slap me all you want, baby girl, just get in the shower with me," Sebastian said and took Zeno’s arm, lifting him off the bed.
Zeno wrapped his arms around Sebastian’s neck and pushed his nose into his neck, sniffing him in, "You smell delicious, I could eat you," He licked along Sebastian’s neck.
Sebastian froze, his dick giving an instant reaction to Zeno’s lick on his neck.
"Zeno, Zeno, stop, okay, just stop," He gently placed Zeno back on the bed and walked into the bathroom; he changed his mind about the shower; he was going to place Zeno in a bath; that way, he wouldn’t be all handsy with him.
He finished setting the cold bath and walked back into the room to find Zeno sitting quietly on the bed, his hands placed on his lap and his boxer had been kicked far away from him.
Sebastian went over to the bed and stood in front of Zeno, "Hey," He placed a hand under his jaw, raising his face to his, "You good now?" He asked in a gentle tone.
Zeno looked sad as he shook his head, "I’m still hot and horny as hell, but you’ve refused to touch me I can’t force you, jerking off doesn’t stop it either, I guess I’ll have to suffer for the rest of the night," He removed his face from Sebastian’s hand and looked away from him.
Sebastian sighed, "Then, please follow me into the -"
"That way right? I’ll go myself," He pushed Sebastian out of the way and walked into the bathroom.
"Damn it," Sebastian raked his fingers through his hair and picked up his phone.
He needed to call Ezra for help.
"Hello, Ezra, I need your help," He spoke the moment his calm was answered.
"What’s wrong?" Ezra asked.
Sebastian hesitated, "Well, it’s Zeno, he’s... you know how he is, and it’s all because of Leon; I was wondering if you have an antidote or something that could calm him and let him sleep tonight without asking for..." He trailed off.
Ezra sighed, "Sebastian, are you asking me for an antidote to help Zeno not want sex?" He questioned.
"Yes," Sebastian replied.
"You’ve just wasted three minutes of our time, Sebastian. I also have something I’m dealing with, I don’t have time to listen to your complaint. You need an antidote, right?" Ezra asked.
Sebastian nodded, eager to hear Ezra’s suggestion."Yes, I do."
"You already have the antidote, Sebastian; there is no antidote greater than the thing between your legs. Give the boy what he wants, don’t worry, it doesn’t need a doctor’s prescription, you administer as much as the patient demands, goodnight," Ezra ended the call with a silent swearing.
Sebastian was speechless; he never expected Ezra to be so vulgar with him; he sighed and threw the phone on the bed. No, he wouldn’t do it, no matter how much he wanted to; he also wanted to prove to Zeno that he wanted him back, not just for the sex, but for the sake of love, too.
With determination, he marched into the bathroom but was surprised to find Zeno standing under a running shower instead of going into the bath he’d set for him.
Zeno saw Sebastian walk into the large bathroom and turned away from him.
"You don’t want the bath?" Sebastian asked as he moved closer to Zeno.
Zeno didn’t respond.
Sebastian noticed that Zeno was just standing there and doing nothing so he squirted some soap on his hand and held Zeno’s hand, pulling him closer.
"I’ll wash you," He said as he stepped under the shower.
Zeno still didn’t respond, he just let Sebastian leather his skin with the soap.
Sebastian’s hand reached Zeno’s abdomen and slowed down, he was starting to think about how he was going to wash below Zeno’s waist.
"You know..." Zeno suddenly pulled Sebastian to himself and wrapped his arms around him, his face leaning close to Sebastian’s.
"What?" Sebastian questioned, his heart pounding as Ezra’s words rang in his ears, his cock getting more erect with that thought.
"I know you want me, I can see it, I can feel it," His hand went between them, grabbing Sebastian’s erection.
Sebastian’s groaned, "Zeno... you should really stop now," He replied with a strained voice.
"If you wanted me to stop, you wouldn’t have entered the bathroom with your sexy self, Sebastian; you know I can’t resist you," His lips were a whisper away from Sebastian’s, "I’ve missed you, haven’t you missed me?" His sensual voice was slowly unlocking Sebastian’s resolve.
Sebastian couldn’t speak; he only stared into Zeno’s blue eyes; how he’d missed those eyes and his lips; they were calling to him to claim them.
He closed his eyes as his body started to feel extremely hot under the cold shower as Zeno’s fist pumped his shaft, making his breath turn raspy.
"Zeno -"
"Shh, you know you want this, you want me, don’t hold back, fuck now, talk in the morning," He didn’t allow Sebastian to speak and quickly covered his lips with his own, kissing him passionately and moving his fist faster around his cock.
Sebastian surprised Zeno by pushing him away, "Calm down, Zeno, you’re going to hate me the next morning, I can’t give you what you want," he breathed harshly.
Zeno scoffed, "I already hate you, what difference does it make? It’s just sex, Sebastian; I never said we were in love, but I must have forgotten that you’re engaged; you can’t cheat on your woman, can you? You should have just left me, Leon; I’ve always wondered how it’d feel with him," Zeno rolled his eyes and stepped away from Sebastian.
Sebastian frowned; something went off within him; he angrily walked up to Zeno and spun him around to face him.
"What? Want to fuck now? I’m not interested," Zeno rolled his eyes.
"I figured... you want Leon, isn’t it?" He asked, his eyes darkening.
Zeno shrugged, "He’s just my type, Sebastian," He replied, smirking at Sebastian, enjoying the look on Sebastian’s face.
He caressed Sebastian’s lips, "It’s too bad I never got to kiss him; he’s so sexy; damn, those rune tattoos always turned me on; I always imagine running my tongue over - mph!" He was shut up by Sebastian’s angry kiss.
Sebastian was seething in jealousy, and he made sure Zeno felt it; he molded his lips over Zeno’s, and his hands grabbed Zeno’s waist, pushing him to the wall.
"Turn around, Zeno," Sebastian commanded in a growl.
Zeno was breathing hard, "No, fuck me while I watch you, Seb," He whispered and raised one of his legs, wrapping it around Sebastian’s waist.
Sebastian brushed his lips against Zeno’s as he slowly slid himself inside Zeno, his eyes not leaving Zeno’s for a second.
"Ah, Seb ~" Zeno sighed, feeling full for the first time after a long time.
"I’ll fuck you till all you think about is me, Zeno," Sebastian grunted and slammed his hips into Zeno’s; he wasn’t going to be slow or soft.
He was rough and aggressive, all his pent-up emotions were released that night, Zeno’s loud moans feeling like music to his ears.
That night, he made Zeno scream his lungs out in the shower, keeping to his promise of making Zeno forget everything about Leon.
Chapter 170
Sebastian was to wake up, as he expected.
Zeno wouldn’t be able to wake up for some time; he’d kept him up till very early in the morning; it’s not been long before Zeno finally fell asleep.
He stared at Zeno in his arms and smiled, "There’s no going back from here, Baby girl," He whispered to the sleeping Zeno.
He kissed Zeno’s cheek and gently removed his arm from under his head, replacing it with a pillow. He stared longer at Zeno’s face, unable to stop smiling. He’d missed this view for so long, and he bet on his life that this would be his morning, afternoon, and night view from that morning.
There was no way in hell he was letting Zeno take his pretty self away from him, their separation was long overdue. He leaned his face in and placed a short kiss on his lips.
He quietly got down from the bed and properly placed the cover over Zeno’s body before walking over to pull his pants in since they’d slept naked.
He glanced at Zeno one last time before he left the room.
Sebastian immediately blocked his door when he stepped out of the room, "What the - stay back," His voice was hushed as he stared at his son in front of his door with shock.
Ken tried to take his father unaware by pushing him away so he could sneak into the room. However, Sebastian had caught him on time by placing a hand on his face, gently pushing him away from his door.
"Ze - mmph!" Sebastian wasted no time in covering Ken’s mouth with his hand and lifting him off the floor, carrying him away from the front of his door.
Ken wasn’t pleased, he kept mumbling something even as his father’s hand remained on his mouth. He struggled as if he was trying to break free from a serious kidnap.
Sebastian dumped Ken on the sofa and glared at him, "What do you think you’re doing, young man?" He glared at Ken.
Ken was quiet, blinking innocently at his father, Sebastian thought that he was repentant of his action and started to feel bad for treating him the way he did. However, the moment Sebastian blinked his eyes and opened them, he couldn’t find Ken in front of him anymore.
"You son of a biscuit!" He turned and chased Ken, who was halfway up the stairs.
"Caught you, you little rascal," Sebastian placed Ken over his shoulder and this time, he carried him straight out of the house.
"Put me down, Daddy! I know you have Zeno in there, I just want to meet him!" Ken shouted.
Sebastian winced at Ken’s loud voice; having his face beside his ear wasn’t helping either.
"Come here, Andre," Sebastian waved Andre over.
Andre immediately left Ida, who he was chatting with, and immediately went to Sebastian.
"Yes, boss," He bowed his head to him.
"Here, he’s yours for the morning," He dropped Ken into Andre’s unwilling arms.
"Put me down, I’m not a baby!" Ken kicked around, and knowingly or knowingly, his leg hit Andre’s third leg, causing Andre to drop him and double over in pain.
"Fudge!" Andre cursed in pain.
Sebastian sighed, disappointed at Andre.
He held Ken’s hand and lowered himself in front of him, "What do you want?" He asked, maybe a dialogue was all that was missing.
Ken huffed angrily, "You know how much I wanted Zeno back with us, now... now you brought him back, and you kept him all to yourself, isn’t that a selfish act, Dad?" Ken raised a brow, just the way Sebastian would.
Sebastian smirked, "Let me get this straight, your healing?" He asked, taunting Ken.
Ken opened his mouth to reply, but no sound came out of it; he frowned and pointed to his father, "Take me to Zeno, now, he wants to see me," He ordered.
"Tsk, you’re jealous," Sebastian smiled.
Andre slowly straightened up, drops of sweat forming on his forehead as he could still feel his third leg hurting from that kick.
Ken might be a child, but his boxing lessons made his hits that of an adult; if Ken was an adult, he would have had the face designed by his fist, but he couldn’t do anything to a child, and to the son of his boss, it’ll be more than just his balls hurting if he dared to do it.
"You see, that’s your wing over there," Sebastian pointed to one side of the building, "You never came to my wing, to my room, why were you suddenly in front of my door, who informed you about Zeno?" Sebastian asked.
Ken wasted no time in pointing at Andre, "He did; he said I’d see Zeno by morning, but here you are stopping me. Yes, I’m jealous; Zeno’s my best friend; he’s supposed to sleep in my room, not yours," He poked Sebastian’s chest.
Sebastian scoffed, "But he’s my boyfriend; who do you think he’d prefer?" He asked Ken with narrowed eyes.
Ken’s lips wobbled. He looked at Andre for help, but Andre had his face looking up at the morning, a sweet satisfaction warming his heart as he saw the desperate look in Ken’s eyes.
’That’s payback, baby,’ Andre smiled secretly.
Ken realized that no one was ready to take him to Zeno, so he did the only thing he could think of looked up in the direction of Sebastian’s room and suddenly shouted, "Zeno!"
"For Jesus sake!" Sebastian covered his mouth again and lifted him off the floor, "Unlock that car," he said to Andre as he carried Ken over to one of his cars.
Andre immediately ran over and had the back door open before Sebastian walked over with a struggling Ken.
"I can’t deal with this right now," Sebastian muttered to himself.
Sebastian gently put Ken inside the car and shut the door, "You, drive," He pointed at Andre.
Andre nodded and got in the car, waiting for direction.
"Fine, I’m sorry, Dad, I promise I’ll behave," Ken smiled sweetly through the wind-down window.
Sebastian smiled and patted his cheeks, "I’d be a loser to believe you, son. Don’t worry, take a ride around the beautiful city, and on your way back, get Zeno some nice clothes, okay?" He handed Ken his black card and patted his head.
Ken reluctantly took it, "Fine, you promise to let me see him when I return?" He asked.
"Drive, Andre," Sebastian tapped the roof of the car.
"I need to hear your promise, Dad!" Ken shouted from the car.
"Depends on how you behave!" Sebastian shrugged, smirking as his son glared at him from the moving car.
He sighed in relief when the whole place turned quiet and peaceful once again. He looked up at his room and hoped Zeno wasn’t disturbed by the whole Ken’s episode.
"Good morning, Boss," Ida bowed to Sebastian.
Sebastian nodded at him, "Is Julia in?" He asked Ida.
Ida nodded, "Yes, boss,"
Sebastian immediately headed back inside the house; he never expected to encounter a stubborn child such early in the morning; he had just wanted to come and get food for Zeno, but Ken had other plans.
As he walked toward his kitchen, he wondered if this was how it was going to be, his son took his boyfriend as his best friend, and kids these days don’t play with their besties as they called it; did he really have to fight for attention with his son?
He hoped it wouldn’t get to that extent, it’d be too low and Petty of him to fight with his son over someone’s affection; however, if that’s how low Ken wanted to go, he was ready to go lower, and lower, as low as he wanted to go, he was ready, he wasn’t about to become a third wheel in his relationship.
"Good morning, Sir; what would you like to eat?" Julia asked, blushing.
Sebastian paused at the door of the kitchen and observed Julia’s suspicious behavior.
"You never ask what I want; we have a menu to follow, remember?" He asked, folding his hands as he leaned beside the door.
Julia cleared her throat, "Well, I mean, do you need me to make something for him?" She asked cautiously.
"For who?" Sebastian raised a brow at her, holding back his teasing smirk.
Julia fumbled for a reply, "Um, well, Andre told me you brought Zeno back last night, so I was wondering, maybe you’d want me to make something special for him," She rolled her thumb around the ladle in her hand.
Sebastian chuckled, "Andre sure does talk a lot. Since you’re already aware, the make something he’d love, please?" He asked.
Julia immediately nodded, "Yes, sure, I can; I’m already preparing something; it’ll be ready in five minutes," She announced excitedly.
It was the first time Sebastian was using the word ’please’ as he spoke to her, she was excited.
Sebastian nodded, and left the kitchen, returning to his room.
He sighed in relief when he saw that Zeno was still sleeping; he quietly returned to the bed, and just like a magnetic pull, Zeno moved back into his arms, nestling his head on his chest.
Sebastian sighed and held his arm around Zeno; he’d stay that way until Zeno woke up; he didn’t mind if it was later in the afternoon; his goal was to be there when Zeno opened his eyes.
He kissed the top of Zeno’s head and relaxed his head on the pillow, closing his eyes.
After an hour, Sebastian felt Zeno move in his arms, he, too, had fallen asleep again. He slowly opened his eyes and found Zeno staring at him.
"Sebastian..." Zeno called in a soft voice, his hand moving up to Sebastian’s face.
Sebastian felt his heart melting away at how softly Zeno called him; he smiled down at Zeno and moved his face lower to him, "Hi, baby girl," He whispered.
Zeno was still processing everything in his head, but he was aware of what had happened between them, and... he wasn’t sure how to feel about it.
Sebastian placed his hand over Zeno’s on his face and slowly kissed the side of Zeno’s lips...testing the waters for a reaction.
When he got nothing from Zeno, he placed a short kiss on his lips, "I love you," He confessed to Zeno.
Zeno shut his eyes for a second, he could feel his bones tingling, he opened his eyes frowned, "My body hurts," He narrowed his eyes at Sebastian.
