Chapter 206: It’s all your fault

Tristan gasp like a dying fish, trying to form a word but failed, when he saw how hurt she was when she said those words. For someone who didn’t know her might look at her as someone who was trying to scare him with her displeasure.

But for him, she looked like a fragile girl who tried to hide her fear behind her strong face. Her eyes which looked his way had so much concern for him but she tried it hide behind her anger.

Slowly climbing down the bed Tristan walked to her and stood like a huge wall hiding her entire frame behind his body.

He could see her lips tremble in anger and fear and he felt miserable for scaring her that way. He should’ve known, it was so stupid to do in the first place.

His downcast eyes looked at her as he reached his hand under her chin and made her look up.

The second their eyes met, the anger in Ashley’s eyes was replaced with concern. He had no clue what she felt watching him lie on the floor motionless. For her, Tristan was her entire life, then how could he try to prank her this way?

As she kept staring into his deep blue eyes, she felt her concern disappear because he was all good, and then the next thing she did took Tristan by surprise.

"Owe... Ash... that hurts" Tristan hissed in pain, and took a step back staring at Ashley in horror. The pinch he received on the right side of his torso was so painful.

"You should’ve thought about it before playing this act" Ashley sprinted to him and again pinched on the same spot.

Ashley wasn’t going to spare him for making her worry for him like this. If he was apologetic then he would’ve come up with a better idea but faking his unconsciousness was something she wouldn’t forgive him for.

Walking to the other side of the bed she picked up the pillow and started attacking Tristan mercilessly. Though the blow wasn’t that hard but Ashley made sure she wouldn’t let him sneak away.

Tristan was so caught up in the act that after some time, he just laid there and took the beating without speaking a word in defense. He let her beat him until she felt better and once she was tired she slumped next to him, panting.

"Next time, dare you to do that again Tristan. I will never let you see my face-" she couldn’t finish her words when suddenly Tristan hovered over her.

"Don’t" his tone was gentle but there was a glint of warning in it.

"This punishment is way better than the one you are about to say" Tristan knew what she was going to say but he couldn’t let her finish it. Living without seeing her was equal to surviving like a dead.

Burying his face into the crook of her neck, Tristan muttered," I would rather die than not see you"

Ashley gape at his words. She now cursed for speaking those words from her damn mouth.

Bringing her hands over his back, Ashley hugged him tight and heard him say," I was scared thinking of the worst" the second he expressed his fear she understood why he reacted that way.

He thought she was in trouble because of the threat lurking around her. But she was too stupid to understand it.

Ashley didn’t say a word and just kept embracing him. She could sense the fear in his words but then why was he so adamant?

"I just missed you so much, that I couldn’t stop myself from hearing your voice" she began to tell him how the situation happened.

"I called you but you didn’t answer my calls. I thought maybe you were busy with meetings so I decided to call you back after I take a shower. But I didn’t expect you to call me just after I entered the bathroom"

Tristan propped his head out from her neck and looked at her in shock." I couldn’t hear the sound of my phone ringing due to the shower" she explained and saw him pout.

They both now knew it wasn’t anyone of their fault. The circumstances lead to misunderstanding.

"Promise me you won’t say that word again Ash. I don’t know how to live without you" he was scared of losing her and just when she was ready to utter those words, he couldn’t take it.

Ashley smiled as she shook her head and pulled him for a small kiss. She was about to pull away but Tristan wanted more as he deepened the kiss invading her mouth.

Bringing her hands from his back to his nape, Ashley slid her fingers into his hair and pulled him closer.

The couple was so engrossed in their own world when Ashley’s phone rang breaking their passionate moment.

Parting their lips, they both tried to ease their breathing. Ashley quickly reached her hand to pick up the phone.

"Ash, can you come to my place, now..." Alice stretched the last words implying that she wanted her to be at her home very quickly.

Ashley frowned when she heard the tenseness in Alice’s voice and agreed without thinking twice.

"I will be right there" Tristan who was still hovering over her frowned listening to her word.

Ending the call Ashley pushed Tristan aside and climb down from the bed," I am going to meet Alice" she turned to say only to make Tristan frown even deeper.

"Why is it always Alice who happens to spoil our romantic time" Tristan complained getting up and sitting on the bed.

Ashley glared at him making him clear his frown. "Fine... I won’t talk about her but let me drop you at her place. Even I have to meet Noah"

When Tristan entered the house he had received a text from Noah who asked him to come to his place. But he was so focused on his own plan that he plainly rejected him.

Now that Ashley was going to meet Alice, then he would tag along and see what Noah has to talk with him.

They soon left the Brown Mansion and drove to Alice’s place. Ashley entered Alice’s house while Tristan stepped into Noah’s.

Alice sat on the couch with her legs crossed. Her palms were clenching and unclenching in a fist as she tried her best to calm her rage.

Ashley pursed her lips as she tried to speak up but watching Alice she just decided to keep her mouth shut. She had no idea why she looked like a lady hunter but it would be safer if she don’t poke her to speak.

After teasing Noah, Alice walked out of the bedroom. She was so upset with him that she couldn’t hold back her anger and shoved him out of the house the second he came out after the release.

"He dares to keep his mouth shut all this time" Alice couldn’t contain her anger and slammed her hand on the side of the couch.

Ashley flinched when she saw how dangerous Alice seemed right now. It will be a foolish act to come and sober her. But how was she supposed to know the reason behind her gloominess?

Mustering up the courage, Ashley finally decided to speak, silently praying that Alice wouldn’t lash out at her.

"W-what happened this time Alice?" she whispered and saw her shot a glance at her that made her smile weakly.

Taking a deep breath Alice calmed her boiling blood and began to tell everything. Ashley was also surprised by the way the situation turned out.

Last time, it was she who tried to make her understand that she might be too quick to judge Noah, but after listening to the entire thing, she felt bad for Alice.

Ashley had always helped Noah. When he came to her asking her to help him know about Alice’s likes and dislikes, she had seen the genuineness in those words and actions. Then why would come to hurt her like this?

Something seems to be wrong. Noah cheating on Alice was something she couldn’t believe right there.

While the girls were busy talking in one room, Noah on the other side kept pacing back and forth, busy biting his nails in worry.

"Can you stop doing that" Tristan who could see Noah act like everything was doomed asked him to stop stressing?

Snapping his head in Tristan’s direction Noah flared his nostril in anger and marched with his finger pointing at Tristan.

"It’s all your fault, Tristan. I shouldn’t have agreed to help you" Noah had asked him to send Karl instead of him to befriend Natalie, but both these overbearing assistant and boss weren’t ready to back down.

Now see what problem they had put him in!

Alice came to see the lipstick mark on his clothes which he forgot to wash after walking out of the club. He was busy savoring his precious time with Alice that it skip from his mind. And now... he felt like crying...

 

Chapter 207: Horror movie

Tristan arched his brow at Noah’s accusation. "Is it my fault that you were careless for not erasing the clues" he snapped shutting Noah’s mouth.

Noah knew he was at fault for being careless. After doing his job, it was his responsibility to erase any kind of clue that could lead to suspicion. Because of his one mistake, his entire life was about to change.

’Should I just tell her the truth? Or should I ask Tristan to help me with some good reasoning?’

’But what if she doesn’t believe any of these and decided to leave me’ Noah felt his throat run dry at the thought of Alice ditching him. He was yet to have babies with her.

’No...no I can’t let this happen’

"TRISTAN... please help me" finally accepting his mistakes Noah fell down on his knees in defeat, requesting Tristan for some help.

Tristan’s lips twitch as he fights to control his laughter. Noah who never accepted his mistake not only admit it but also asked him to help.

Leaning his elbow on the couch armrest Tristan rest his chin on his knuckles as he lazily eyed Noah.

"Am I dreaming or something? Noah Wayne is begging me to help him" Tristan was purposely trying to pull Noah’s legs.

Tristan knew once the problem was solved Noah would bat an eye at him. Just like the other times, he would forget about this help too.

Noah kept glaring at Tristan as he watched him hide his laugh. He knew right now, he needed his help but he would soon get back to him. He wasn’t going to let him make fun of him every time.

Hiding his displeasure, Noah crawled towards the couch and quickly got up and sat next to Tristan.

Taking a deep breath Noah quickly grabbed Tristan’s hand that was resting on the side and pleaded," Tristan, just this once brother. Please help me" putting on a pitiful face Noah begged Tristan.

Tristan cringed at his act and immediately pulled away his hand from Noah’s grip and wiped it off.

"Geez...you suddenly make me sick" Tristan didn’t expect Noah to go beyond his expectation in convincing him.

Back then when he was caught by his mother Anna, Noah had asked him to help. But aunt Anna was too smart to get fooled by him. Just like Noah, even Tristan got an ultimatum from Anna which he still couldn’t forget.

Noah was now on the verge of a mental breakdown. If Tristan wasn’t going to help him who will save his relationship with Alice?

Fidgeting his brain, Noah finally squeal," Fine! Don’t help me. I will request Ashley to help me and you know if she asks me why then..." his words alarmed Tristan raised his brow.

"Okay do as you wish. Go and ask Ashley to help you but, what will you answer if Alice comes to find that you have taken Ashley’s help? And what guarantee do you have that my wife.." he pointed at himself and continued," will agree to help you"

Tristan had already given enough insight information about his life and he didn’t want her to give another shock by letting her know about Lucan Scott who had invested in her commercial ad.

Ashley was a very dignified lady comes to learn about his ill motives will back off which would eventually affect her image and he didn’t want her to face any backlash.

Noah felt like a bucket full of cold water splashed on him and his lips tremble as he couldn’t hold his tears

"Waah... why is this happening to me. God... please help me..." Noah started to cry dramatically that only made Tristan cover his ears.

There was no way he would help him because if he did, Ashley would get upset with him. And he didn’t want to fight with her anymore.

After office hours got over, Gwen and Karl decided to go to a movie. It had been days since they stepped out and apart from that, Gwen was in a good mood because Dante agreed to the surgery.

For the last two days, she had been crying over the fact that Dante was going to leave them soon but now she was happy with his decision.

Stopping their car at the Cinemax Multiplex, both Gwen and Karl stepped out of the car.

Taking the tickets from the ticket counter they both entered screen five where they book a ticket at the rightmost corner seat of the huge theater.

Sitting in their respective seats, they both waited for the movie to start and for some time the lights inside the theater turned dimmed to dark with only the huge screen on.

Karl had no idea what kind of movie they were supposed to see. He just purchased the tickets on Gwen’s movie preference.

Both Karl and Gwen were enjoying the beginning when suddenly the background music changed from pleasant to creepy.

"Don’t tell me we are watching a horror movie" Karl snapped in Gwen’s direction and watched her smile at him.

Karl froze in his seat with his hands gripping the armrest tightly. No one knew Karl was scared of ghosts even if it was just an illusion. He never liked them and now, Gwen had bought him to watch a horror movie.

’I think I will pass out any time soon’ Karl mentally muttered before pulling his attention away from Gwen’s face to the screen ahead.

They were currently sitting in the middle row with Karl sitting in the corner. He regretted agreeing to come with Gwen. It would’ve been better if they had made other plans.

He had already begun to shiver and the loud creepy voice was making him feel like crying.

’Don’t act like a coward Karl. What will Gwen think of you’ his subconscious mind poked but Karl was too scared to listen to him and before he could understand what was happening suddenly a loud creepy scream echoed in the entire hall.

"AHH~ MUMMY...MUMMY" Karl jump on his seat taking Gwen in surprise and her jaw dropped witnessing the most unexpected yet the funniest scene of her life.

Karl screamed next to her ear making her turn to see Karl hiding his face with his palms and trembling like a scared kitten.

Gwen blinked her eyes as she tried her best not to laugh. The way Karl was behaving made her want to laugh her guts out without holding back.

Chapter 208: You are cold

Gwen watched Karl trembling on his seat with his palm covering his face. She could tell that he was damn scared of the movie and she found it quite funny.

But as time passed, she started feeling bad for him. If he had informed her already then she wouldn’t have asked him to buy a horror movie ticket. She thought the movie she selected he knew about it but who would’ve thought otherwise?

She was about to reach her hand to console him when another creepy roared echoed inside the theatre and this time Karl jumped hugging Gwen in return.

"G-Gwen... this is so scary. Shoo, shoo" Karl was so freaking out that he didn’t realize he was making a scene catching everyone’s attention towards them.

Finding the situation too embarrassing Gwen pulled Karl’s hand and dragged him out of the theater room.

Outside

Sitting on the bench, Karl kept his head low as he couldn’t face Gwen after whatever he did inside. He was so damn scared that he happened to behave out of his character and now he was too embarrassed to raise his head.

Gwen brought a bottle of water from the food counter and walked to Karl." Here, drink some water" she said passing him the bottle but the man didn’t look at him.

His eyes were fixed on his legs as he kept tapping them in anxiousness.

’Is he still scared’ she thought and sat next to him.

The Karl she knew was so confident that she never doubt he would come to get scared by a mere movie.

Karl on the other hand was cursing himself for acting childish. ’You stupid dumbass, it was just a movie. The ghost wasn’t going to come out from the screen’

While he was busy scolding himself mentally, he felt a hand rest on his shoulder and he again flinch," Mummy..." and this time Gwen couldn’t hold back her laughter and burst.

"Haha... Karl, you are so funny" she said laughing holding her stomach as she couldn’t contain her laughter. If only she would’ve known about his weakness, he would have used it against him at the time they fought or argue.

Karl stared back at her with a pitiful face. She so wanted to cry after his weakness was out in front of Gwen in an unexpected way.

Ignoring her laugh, Karl took the bottle from her hand and began sipping it. He knew there was no explanation for his behavior and this reaction from Gwen was obvious.

After some time, Gwen stopped laughing and wiped off the tears that surge up in the process. She then turned her head to look at Karl who had his eyes already fixed on her with his lips curled into a pleasant smile.

Blinking her eyes, she looked at him with confusion and heard him say," You look so pretty when you laugh" Karl mumbled staring at Gwen like a lovestruck puppy.

Initially, he was annoyed but when he noticed her soft giggles he started falling for it, and his irritation flew away replacing it with adoration.

She was laughing like a kid which seemed so delightful to his eyes. In these past two days, he didn’t see her smile but now he was happy that he was able to bring back her old self.

Gwen blushed at his remark and before she could say a word, Karl stood up holding her hand, and dragged her away from there.

After witnessing Noah’s historical cry, Tristan walked out of his apartment when he couldn’t hold on. His friend was crying like a naughty kid, begging and praying to God to help him now.

"Alice seems quite upset with Noah this time," Ashley said looking at Tristan.

"Huh!... Hmm yes, I agree with you" Tristan had his eyes on the road ahead, turned his head looking at her for a brief second before averting his eyes back on the road.

"I think, Alice shouldn’t doubt Noah. If he had to cheat on her then he wouldn’t have been going crazy thinking about her leaving him" Ashley nodded her head.

She has seen how Noah was committed to Alice and it was quite surprising to listen about him cheating on Alice.

"Tristan, don’t you think we should help them? I don’t like to see them fighting"

Ashley volunteered in helping the couple as she couldn’t see them fight. Though for a second she doubted Noah but now when Tristan agreed to her previous thought, she now felt bad for the couple.

"Do you think, we should check the club he visited that day?" Ashley’s words made Tristan snap his head at her in shock.

"C-club, why" he was now sensing something danger approaching.

"So we could prove Noah’s innocence. If he wasn’t there with any girl, then he had no reason to be scared of but if he is lying" she paused with her palm rounding into a fist and she continued," Then I will not leave him" she declared.

Ashley didn’t want to come to any conclusion without any proof. She wanted to give Noah a fair chance to prove his innocence to Alice and for that, he had to tell her the truth.

But the way he was hesitant to speak only made things worse between them and now if she wanted to save Alice’s relationship then they will have to find everything.

"Ahem... Ash. Don’t you think we shouldn’t meddle in their matter? They are mature enough to handle everything on their own" Tristan’s words made Ashley frown and she looked at him sharply.

"So you want Alice to get hurt?" she snapped.

"Huh, no no I didn’t mean that. It’s just why don’t you let them sort out the misunderstanding on their own? It doesn’t look nice to poke into their lives" Tristan didn’t want her to find the person behind Noah’s misery was him and now he just wanted his friend to handle this matter on his own.

Ashley looked at him for a second and nodded her head. She was still skeptical about the way Tristan was trying to keep her out of this matter. But then, she just couldn’t point out anything without any evidence.

Keeping her thoughts to herself, Ashley decided to keep her mouth shut. She will have to find everything just to save Alice from getting hurt.

After Ashley left, Alice stepped into her room to rest. She was so tired of thinking of things turning different between Noah and her. If the lipstick mark had nothing to do with him then she expected him to be transparent with her.

She just wanted to know the truth so she would stop this odd feeling from dirtying her mind.

She lay on the bed hoping sleep would hit her soon but as time passed by she couldn’t find herself even closing her eyes.

Turning and tossing on the bed, Alice sighed frustratingly and sat up on the bed. She was so used to falling asleep in Noah’s arms that now she found it hard to sleep without him.

She didn’t want to admit but right now she want him to be next to her. She wanted to fall asleep so she could stop these thoughts from messing with her mind.

’Damn’ she cursed when she couldn’t hold any longer and like a shameless person, she climbed down from the bed and stepped out of her room.

She was still hesitant about whether to ask Noah to come and sleep with her but then his lie came to her mind but before she could stop herself, Alice found her standing in front of her door.

Sighing helplessly, Alice opened the door and stepped out only to find him sitting next to her door with his back resting on the wall. He had his head buried in his knees and it seem like he had been sleeping.

Alice’s heart pained to see him sitting on the floor. ’How long he had been sitting here’ she thought and squat down slowly next to him.

She didn’t want to be this harsh with him but his silence and hiding everything from her made her act cruel toward him. But now when she looked at him waiting next to her door, she realized she had been too cold with him.

"Noah" resting her hand on his shoulder she called his name softly.

Listening to a familiar sweet voice Noah raised his head and saw Alice stare at him with concern.

"Alice" he called her name and brushed his eyes to clear his vision. He had been standing outside her door for some time but didn’t have the nerve to knock on the door.

Noah knew, he was at fault but it was too hard for him to stay away from her. So he ended up sitting on the floor waiting for her to come to him and didn’t realize when he fell asleep.

The way he called her name made Alice drop her anger. She knew Noah loved her and his actions toward her were evident. But then why was he so adamant to hide the truth from her?

"You are cold, come get in," she said brushing her palm on his arm.

Chapter 209: Big trouble

Alice helped Noah stand up and took him inside the house before shutting the door. She knew she shouldn’t be showing any mercy to him but the way he stared at her with hope melted her heart.

She didn’t want to feel sorry for him but when she looked at his face, she could tell that he was crying. His eyes swollen and turned red were the evidence that he had been tearing up inside his apartment.

"Go wash your face and join me on the bed" she without looking at him and turned to leave when suddenly Noah hugged her from behind.

"You don’t want to look at me now" Noah sounded like a kid who was being ignored by his mother.

Alice felt bad when his voice cracked. She knew she shouldn’t prolong this argument and have a proper talk without any silent treatment but she very well knew Noah would end up brushing that topic if she happens to forgive him.

She had to stick to her ground until he doesn’t tell her everything. Shutting her eyes closed Alice brushed off the soft feeling and said," Let go Noah" her voice came out like a small whisper.

Noah shook his head disagreeing with her words and buried his face into her neck," No, I won’t." he mumbled making it hard for Alice to stand strong.

It was really hard for her to stay angry at him, but if she wanted him to learn from his mistake then she had to be firm.

Using her hands she unwrapped his arms around her waist and turned to face him. Putting on a straight face, she looked into his shocked eyes," You know you are at fault but rather than justifying, you dare to keep it away from me. Did you take me as an easy girl whom you could fool"

Alice knew she shouldn’t be doubting his feelings toward her but to make him realize she had to use those harsh words.

Noah felt a pang in his chest when she said those words. He could see through her eyes that felt bad for using those words for him, but he still felt bad.

Noah didn’t realize how much his secret-keeping affected their relationship and Alice began doubting it.

"You think I would cheat on you?" he asked feeling broken inside. He was again on the verge of crying and would surely break down if she answered yes.

Alice watched his lips tremble and his eyes welled up in tears. ’God is he about to cry and before she could open her mouth to speak Noah burst.

"Waah..."

"....."

Alice stood there speechless when Noah started crying like a kid. How was she supposed to pamper this adult kid?

Noah fell on the floor and started flipping his hand on the floor sniffing and crying like a baby.

"I swear on you Alice I didn’t cheat. It was Tristan who asked me to befriend Natalie" Noah kept on crying without realizing that he had exposed his friend.

"Tristan asked you to do that" her words made him shut his mouth in an instant and he raised his head in shock while he still kept sniffing.

Alice felt her blood boil in anger and she kneeled pulling Noah by his collar and questioned," Noah Wayne before I throw you out of my house again... tell me everything"

Noah gulped when he saw her glare at him fiercely and before he could understand he started spilling everything.

Exactly after ten minutes, Noah ended up telling the situation leaving Alice completely in awe.

"You mean to say... someone is after Ashley and Tristan is trying to find him" averting her eyes at Noah she asked.

Like an obedient kid, Noah bobbed his head and scrunch his nose.

"But you have to promise me you won’t tell Tristan that I told you everything and not even Ashley. I don’t think Tristan told her anything" Noah couldn’t take risks. If Tristan happens to find that he told everything to Alice, then might expose all his naughty stuff to Alice that he himself doesn’t remember.

Alice creased when she heard him and smack his head

"Ow... " Noah was being bullied by Alice brushed his head feeling wronged by her.

Alice wasn’t going to let this topic slip from her mind. After all, it was related to her friend’s life and she couldn’t risk anything. But wait why were Tristan’s enemies behind Ashley and where did they come from? And who would dare to mess with The Tristan Knight after all...

After the movie date and a small candlelight dinner, Karl dropped Gwen home. Getting changed Gwen lay on her bed staring at the ceiling above.

She recalled the incident that happened in the restaurant and pursed her lip into a thin line.

’Did she still look like a teenager?’ she asked herself.

After the movie, Karl took Gwen to her favorite restaurant and ordered her favorite cuisine. Everything was fine. They spend time talking with each other while having food and when they were leaving, they happened to stumble upon Karl’s friend.

She happened to study with Tristan and Karl at the same university in country X and seemed quite close to him.

At first, she didn’t mind the way they interacted but when she asked him about his girlfriend and he turned to introduce her, the remark she gave made her kinda upset.

"I thought you’d be dating a girl age. She seems quite young" Linda the girl they stumble on said.

Heaving out a frustrated sigh, Gwen rose and sat on the bed," Yes I am young but does it mean I can date an older man"

Gwen and Karl had an age gap of five years and she thought it was quite cool. Having a mature partner was better than having an immature one. And over that, she liked Karl from a very young age.

Gwen didn’t like the way she looked at her as if she was mocking her for being younger than them and suddenly she felt insecure.

’What if Karl too likes girls who are mature and don’t act all cute and spoiled around their partners and he is just not expressing it just because he doesn’t upset me’

Gwen fell into a deep thought thinking otherwise and dropped her shoulder in defeat.

Tori had just finished her work and was heading to her room when her eyes caught the sight of the couple entering the house and she immediately hide behind the pillar watching them both head upstairs to their bedroom.

Her eyes darken and she turned to leave once the couple was out of her sight. After getting warned by Ashley, she had to be careful about her action making sure no one see her.

Reaching her room, she got changed and lay on the bed. Tori has been very cautious but was still got caught which only meant the people here aren’t that dumb to ignore suspicion, especially Ashley and Tristan.

"I have to be careful from here on. If I fail then the boss wouldn’t spare me" she mumbled and closed her eyes when suddenly her phone vibrated snapping her out of her sleep.

Getting up she bend down and pulled out her bag. Taking out her cell phone she looked at the caller.

"Max" she mumbled and quickly took the call.

"Hello," she said and her eyes grew wide when she heard the person on the other side speak.

Piper walked towards the backside of the mansion where she had seen Tori a few days back. She had been quite suspicious about her since day one but she ignored it thinking she was new and didn’t know how things work in Brown mansion.

But that day after she warned her not to trespass in the restricted area, she still went there once again.

She was now curious to find out what was Tori up to and... how can she forget to hide her cell phone. Yes, after getting doubtful about her actions Piper couldn’t believe the girl.

Carefully walking to the forbidden space, she was about to jump through the fence but suddenly felt someone hit her head from behind and she fell on the ground getting knocked out.

Max stood there watching the middle age lady falling limp on the ground when he felt someone’s presence at his side.

"Your one mistake would’ve landed us into very big trouble Tori" Max averted his eyes to the side and glared at Tori who stood there still looking at Piper.

"Take her back inside the house and make sure she doesn’t come here" Max warned and turned around leaving from there.

Max was the one who saw Piper invading their private place reached on time and knocked her out before she stepped into their territory.

They have been very cautious about shifting their entire base close to the Brown mansion so no one could get suspicious of them.

The dungeon on the other side of the restricted area was now going to be Gabriel’s secret underground place from where they would be working on how to destroy Tristan knight without getting caught.

Chapter 210: [Bonus Chapter]It’s a surprise

Carrying Piper’s unconscious body back to her room, Tori tucked her into bed. She made sure no one saw her while she brought to the maid’s quarter.

"You shouldn’t be risking your life, Piper," she said looking at the middle age woman who looked like she had been sleeping.

Tori knew Max had just knocked her out and she was breathing fine. She also knew Piper wouldn’t wake up until tomorrow, so she was quite relaxed.

Glancing at her for one last time, Tori walked out of her room and entered her.

Once she was in she made sure she locked the doors. Pulling out, her phone she sent a text to Max informing him that she had taken care of Tori and she also ensured him that Piper wouldn’t be talking about this incident to anyone knowing the consequence of her actions.

Laying on the bed Tori heaved out a breath of relief as they just escaped getting caught and slowly closed her eyes drifting into a deep slumber.

Bedroom

Caressing Ashley’s face, Tristan kissed her until it turned intense. He liked this make-out session after their fight. In that way, they would end up getting closer to each other.

"Umm... Tristan, I think we should sleep" Ashley tried to stop him from moving further. She was tired as she kept racking her brain thinking about their small argument and not forgetting about Alice and Noah’s case too.

She had stressed a lot and now she wanted a peaceful sleep.

Sensing the tiredness in her voice, Tristan pulled back from the kiss and looked at her as he slowly brushed his thumb on her lips.

"Okay," he said before pecking her lips for a second and pulling her close to his heart.

Carefully patting her head Tristan helped Ashley fall asleep. In no time he heard her snore faintly and he tucked his chin down looking at her sleeping face.

A small smile appeared on his lips and he kissed her forehead before closing his eyes.

The next morning, Ashley woke up as usual and didn’t find next to her. Confused, she pulled herself up and looked around when the door of the bathroom opened and Tristan walked out wearing a towel.

The sight of his chiseled body and perfectly toned torso made her drool.

’How can he have such a perfect body’ she thought recalling if she had ever seen Tristan working out.

"If you keep staring at me like that. I will surely drop my towel and march at you" his words pulled her out of her thought and she gasped turning her eyes from him.

Chuckling at her flushed face, Tristan then walked towards the closet and pulled out a fresh pair of clothes for him.

"I’ve booked the tickets for our vacation," he said buttoning his T-shirt.

Ashley snapped her head in his direction and watched him smile," When! and where are we going?" she asked climbing down and bed, reaching straight towards him.

"It’s a surprise" flicking the tip of her red nose Tristan got changed and wore his suit, ready to leave for work.

"We will be leaving tomorrow morning," he said and kissed her forehead before he walked out of the room.

Ashley stood there watching him walk out just like that. She thought maybe they would meet and select a particular place that everyone will like to go to but here, he just declared and walked out.

Shaking her head in disbelief Ashley walked back to the bedside and pick up her cellphone texting a message to both Alice and Gwen asking them about the plan.

[ I thought we would get a chance to present our wish list. Brother is such a mood spoiler( angry emoji)] Gwen texted both Alice and Ashley.

[ I don’t mind going to a place unless it does get me bored] Alice replied.

[I agree with Gwen. Even I expected Tristan to ask me which place I would like to visit] Ashley supported Gwen.

It was their idea of convincing him for the trip but he didn’t even give them the chance to decide.

[ Anyways let’s not spoil our mood over it. Isn’t it exciting that we are finally going somewhere] Alice cheered the girls diverting their moods.

[ Yes, it is and I can wait to see where brother is taking us] Gwen squealed while she answered.

[ Okay then, let’s just go shopping] Ashley proposed.

Once the chat was over Ashley then stepped into the bathroom to take a shower.

Karl’s apartment

"What!! You already picked the place. I thought we would decide together" Noah dropped his shoulder when Tristan told them that he had already planned everything and they just had to tag along.

"Where are we going boss," Karl asked walking out of the kitchen with coffee for the three of them.

"You will get to know" Tristan didn’t disclose the place to them and kept it a secret just like he did with Ashley.

He then turned to look at Noah who had this disturbed expression marred over his face and asked," Did you sort your differences with Alice" his voice snapped Noah out of his trance and he looked at Tristan in horror.

’Should I tell him that I told Alice everything but what if he asks why?’ Noah gulped and nodded

’No, I can’t let him know that, or else he get back to me, even more, wore’ Noah decide to keep this to himself and enjoy their vacation.

"Okay then, I will take my leave. Karl just postpone my meeting for the afternoon" he said and walked out from there.

Noah narrowed his eyes looking at Tristan retreating and turned to see Karl," Where do you think he is going?" he asked.

"Knight Mansion. Didn’t you get the news grandpa Dante agreed to the surgery" Karl answered finishing his coffee.

Noah gaped when he heard him and cursed," Damn, even I wanted to meet him" drinking the coffee Noah rushed out of Karl’s house following Tristan to meet Dante.
