Chapter 241: Does she wants to meet you

Tristan gave her a are you kidding me look, and pulled her closer," Of course, it will be me. You think I will let any man get close to you"

Ashley chuckled and wrapped her arms around him before she placed a light kiss on his chest," I know...".She already knew he would guide her, but she still wanted to pull his leg.

After whatever happened, she wanted to get stronger so that if a situation like this appears again, she could fight and protect herself.

With this thought, she closed her eyes, letting sleep engulf her mind.

Country S: Gabriel’s Base

Max walked inside the main office, with the important piece of news he got from their men in Country X.

Stopping in front of Gabriel, he informed "Deuces and his entire clan are destroyed"

Gabriel had his back facing Max, turned around. His eyes were as calm as sea, and his expression unreadable as he heard him patiently.

Gabriel had his men follow the group after he found that Tristan took them to Country X.

It was he who told Marcus about, Ashley and Tristan’s relationship. He had given his words to Deuces back then that he will help him to get even with Tristan knight because of the help he had given him in the past. Staying true to his words, Gabriel told him everything and let him handle the situation on his own.

Though he knew, Deuces wouldn’t be able to fight against Tristan’s army, still he help him and now wasn’t bound to anyone anymore. He didn’t owe anyone except for one... his Sandra.

"hmm" came his plain response.

"Any news from Tori? Does she find the cook still suspicious" he asked.

Max wasn’t bothered by his boss’s reaction. He had always been distant and unempathetic.

"No boss, the woman seems to be a little cautious and she hasn’t talked about the incident to anyone yet" he answered.

"Good, ask Tori to keep an eye on the lady. Who knows what she must be planning behind her silent disguise" Gabriel instructed and waved his hand excluding Max.

Gabriel stood thinking about things ahead when his phone rang and he answered," Yes Lucas"

"I have good news for you" came his over-enthusiastic voice from the other side that made Gabriel frown.

The next day, Tristan and everyone left Country X returning back to their home. Since Grace and everyone were present at the Brown mansion, the group drove to Richard’s place.

"Thank god nothing happened to you," Grace said taking Ashley in her embrace.

When Gwen informed her about Ashley’s abduction, she felt her heart stop. She wanted to get to them, but after Karl explained the situation and the threat around, she withdrew her plan.

Even with so much protection around, the enemy still tried to get her daughter-in-law with them. And the thought of her being alone, made her blood run dry.

Thankfully Tristan and the others reached on time and they all were safe.

Ashley spend some time with the family before Tristan took her to their room. Making her sit on the bed, he then walked a locked the door before he came and joined her.

"Do you feel any discomfort?" he asked examining her face, which looked tired.

"No, I just want to rest a little," she said and he helped him lay on the bed, and tucked her pulling the duvet over until her chest.

Brushing her hair, he watched her slowly close her eyes and she soon fell asleep. He knew she was only enduring the pain because of him.

Once, he saw her sleep peacefully, he then made a call to Taylor asking him to come to check on Ashley.

Soon Taylor reached the Brown mansion, taking everyone by surprise.

"What brings you here Taylor?" Trevor asked when he saw his friend entering the house.

"I called him" Tristan voiced as he walk down the stairs making everyone turn their attention to him.

"Is everything okay?" Richard asked in concern.

Tristan bobbed his head saying," Everything is fine dad. I just want him to check Ashley for my satisfaction" his calm words made everyone relaxed and soon he took Taylor along with him to the room.

Ashley was still fast asleep when Taylor and Tristan stepped inside. Walking towards the bed Taylor examined the girl, who looked pale with her lips turned dry and both her wrist bruised.

"Were her wounds treated" Taylor asked examining her wrist that wasn’t bandaged.

"Yes, I did it for She didn’t want the doctors to examine her," he said.

Before he took Ashley into their suite, the doctors were already waiting to examine but she didn’t allow anyone and asked him to take her to the room as she wanted to be alone.

Respecting her decision, Tristan excluded the doctors and carried her to their room where he helped her to clean the wounds.

Taylor bobbed his head, giving a satisfying nod." You did well" he said.

"Let them be open for now, but make sure they are being cleaned until the skin on her wrist is healed" Taylor suggested and then prescribed some medicine, informing him to let her rest for some days, until she recovers.

Noting Taylor’s words he then watched him leave. Tristan returned sitting next to Ashley and cupped her cheeks, brushing them with his thumb.

"Hmm... Tristan" he heard her mumble before she drifted back to sleep again.

"I am here, next to you," he said and bend down before placing a soft kiss on her forehead." Sleep well," he said and watched her smile as if even in her sleep she heard him.

Noah and Alice reached the apartment when Alice received a call from her mother. ’Why is she calling’ Alice mumbled after receiving a call from her mother after so many days.

After their last visit to her apartment where he confronted Noah and doubted her relationship with him, she never heard back from them. It was like they had finally let go of the thought of having a daughter once and for all.

"Whose it," Noah asked when he saw she wasn’t answering the call, rather just kept staring at it blankly.

His voice snapped her out of her trance and she looked at him with an unreadable expression." I need to answer this" she said and excused herself before stepping out into the balcony and answering the call.

"Where have you been Alice? I was trying to reach you for three days" Ashlyn’s worried voice came from the other end.

Alice frowned at her words. Her mother never showed any concern for her then why was she sounding as if she cared for her? and the next second her eyes turned cold.

"Come straight to the point mom" Alice ignored her mother’s concern and ask her to speak for the purpose she called.

Ashlyn fell lost for words when she heard Alice’s cold remark. She knew her daughter would easily guess her thoughts and her fake concern would be caught in no time.

Composing her emotions, Ashlyn still trying to maintain her act and said," I want to meet you, it’s important"

Alice knitted her brows deeper and rejected her request the next instant," I don’t have time" she said ready to end the call.

Alice was very well aware that her mother would only want to talk with her when there was something she wanted from her. But now, she was done with them and wanted nothing to do with them.

"Please Alice... just once.... for your father" mention of her father’s name was enough to stir her emotion and her frown slowly disappeared.

"Dad?... What happened to dad" she asked.

Though her father never cared for her, she still had a soft spot for him. Maybe it was because of the years she spend working hard for being the perfect child in front of him. Or was it just because she still cared for him?

"I will tell you everything after I meet you" Ashlyn assure her and waited for her response.

Alice stood there trying to think if she should agree with her mother’s words or just let it be. But then, she wasn’t as heartless as them and had humanity within her.

After a long thought, she finally agreed," Okay send me the location. I will meet you" she said and ended the call before she stepped inside the room.

"Was it your mother? Does she wants to meet you" Noah who was still standing in the same spot was able to hear Alice’s voice and he could tell with her blank tone that it was no other than one of her parent who was again trying to emotionally play with her mind.

Alice heaved out a sigh and bobbed her head watching his face stiff." Why does she want to meet you?" he asked having no ounce of respect for the people who always hurt his Alice.

"She didn’t tell me on the call but... it’s regarding dad," she said and walked towards him. Alice hugged Noah and tried to calm her racing heart.

Though she acted calm and composed outside deep inside her mother’s words had affected her somehow.

Chapter 242: Don’t let her words affect you

PING...

Alice tilted her head and looked at the phone in her hand." I think it’s mom" she said and pulled out from his embrace and opened the text message, reading it.

"I will come with you," Noah demanded looking at the location her mother sent.

He didn’t want Alice to be alone with those manipulative people who did everything to screw her mind. She was his responsibility now, and he would tag her everywhere she would go.

"I don’t think it’s a good idea. They don’t like you, Noah. Don’t you remember how they reacted when we declared our relationship? I don’t want her to badmouth you" Alice said what she felt about her parent’s mindset regarding their relationship. She knew them very well.

"But-"

"No, but, Noah. I won’t be able to tolerate it if she happens to talk something bad about you" Alice stated.

"But what if she talks something bad about you," Noah said and she turned to look at him.

He had seen how disrespectful her parents were to Alice. They never left a chance to taunt her for not being a good daughter, then how could he let her be alone with her mother knowing how discourteous woman she was?

Alice looked at him for a minute sensing his concern." I am used to it Noah and now their words don’t bother me" she said and wrapped her arm around him.

Craning her head up, she looked at his worried face and reached her one hand to cup his cheeks," Rest assured Noah, your Alice isn’t that weak to let her parents fool her anymore" she smiled, carefully brushing his skin.

Heaving out a sigh, Noah bobbed his head," Fine, you can go alone but promise me... you won’t let her words affect you"

"I promise" came her quick reply.

Trusting her words, Noah allowed Alice to meet her mother even though somewhere in his heart, he felt that her mother was up with something.

Brown mansion

Stirring in her sleep, Ashley slowly opened her eyes and saw Tristan sitting next to her. Stretching her lips into a smile she asked," Were you staring at me all the time?"

"Hmm... I just want to keep looking at you. It’s like I am breathing" Tristan’s eyes didn’t falter while he said those cheesy words but it was enough to make her heart flutter.

"Your words sound too corny but-" she paused and bit her lower lips, hesitant to speak further.

"But-" came Tristan’s words as he moved a little closer to her making her breath hitch.

"I-I like it," she said and quickly averted his piercing gaze as she tried to calm herself.

Tristan’s lips curled up into a satisfied smile and he leaned down before he kissed her cheeks and pulled back sitting straight.

Ashley froze on her spot as she wasting expecting him to sneak a peck from her cheeks and she immediately blushed, giving him the chance to fully smile at her.

"My beautiful wife, you are blushing," he said tracing his thumb on her cheeks that had tainted pink due to embarrassment.

Ashley quickly covered her face, turning to the side and hiding her shyness from Tristan." It’s all your fault" she said in defeat and heard him laugh at her.

Never she had thought, he heart would keep fluttering on the little things Tristan do to her, but how it is, even she couldn’t understand herself anymore.

Once she composed herself Tristan helped her to sit on the bed not allowing her to use her strength, since both her wrist were bruised.

Taylor had strictly warned him from letting her use her hands until they were healed and for the paleness on her face, he asked him to feed her nutritious food. She was weak at the moment and needed pampering and rest.

"You are treating me like a baby," Ashley said when she saw how gentle he was with his actions on her.

"You are a baby for me" came his words that made her smile.

From the very first time she met him, he had been gentle with her, whether it was with words or with his actions. The first time they shared, she remember how he wiped her tears comforting her in his embrace, making her forget everything.

He had that soothing voice, that made her forget all the pain she went through, and now, it was her turn to protect him.

"So, when are we supposed to start with the training?" she asked.

Ashley was looking forward to learning the self-defense lessons from Tristan. She had done it earlier but it was all gone and now, she had to start everything from the scratch.

"After you completely recover from your wounds," he said and watched her crease her brows.

"But I am all good. See this is already healing" she said showing him her wrist and the right side of her face.

"I know, but Taylor said you need to rest well to recover internally too" his words made her look at him in confusion.

"Internally" she mumbled.

"Yes, internally" he answered and held her hands into his before continuing," Your body had suffered from shock Ashley making you weaker from inside" his eyes turned cold when he recalled her words about Marcus using his muscularity against her petite frame and kicking and slapping her mercilessly.

Ashley sensed the change in his expression and she understood where it came from. Tucking his palm she broke his trance, making him look at her," It’s all gone Tristan, so can we forget everything and move forward" she said and saw him purse his lips.

Ashley sighed and pulled him for a hug, as she slowly caressed his back, soothing his torment. "Let’s not think about what happened because it’s all gone and everything is back to normal. Tristan I don’t want you to keep recalling them and blame yourself for it"

She knew it was hard for both of them to forget what happened but they can’t keep tormenting themselves for what have gone. Instead of blaming why can’t they improve themselves?

Tristan buried his face into the crook of her neck and hummed. "I won’t, I promise," he said and pulled back, facing her.

Their face was just an inch apart as Tristan slowly kept decreasing it until his lips reached her and they were about to kiss when they heard a knock.

Startled by the disturbance Tristan quickly pulled back in haste, making Ashley smile. He looked like a kid who almost got caught doing naughty stuff.

"Come in," he said composing his expression and watching the door get open Richard stepped in along with the maid who carried the food tray with her.

Richard had come to meet his doctor after Taylor checked her but when he saw her fast asleep he retreated. But now, he couldn’t hold back himself so he again came but this time along with the food.

He wanted to spend some time with Ashley and look after her just as he did when she was a little girl. He couldn’t imagine the fear she must have gone through when she was held captive by those indecent foes but he was thankful that nothing happened to anyone and they all returned home safe.

"I hope I am not disturbing you both " he said approaching the couple.

Watching Richard walk ahead, Tristan climbed off the bed giving space for Richard to sit next to Ashley.

"No dad, you aren’t," Ashley said and watched her father sit in front of her.

Richard didn’t say a word and just looked at Ashley thanking god for keeping his daughter safe. If something would’ve happened to her what answers he would have given to Raven?

His eyes welled up and lowered his head, avoiding her from seeing it. But it was too late because Ashley had already seen him tearing up.

"Dad" she called him and made him look at her before she wiped off the tears that stream down his eyes.

"I am fine"

"I know and I am grateful for that," he said and turned to look at Tristan," Thank you," he said as his lips tremble not able to hold himself back anymore.

Richard loved his daughter more than anything. She was a gift given by god to both Raven and him and he wanted to keep her safe at any cost, away from all the problems.

He knew Tristan wasn’t an ordinary businessman and carried another identity within. Trevor and Grace didn’t hide anything from him because they wanted to be transparent about everything. It was his daughter’s life after all and he had the right to find a suitable partner for his daughter.

For Tristan was the perfect match and a devoted partner who loved his daughter but never once tried to force his love on her. He waited for her until she saw Greg’s true color and that was when he started courting her.

He had faith in him which was why he wasn’t that worried because he knew Tristan would protect his life at any cost and now he was proud of his decision of marrying Ashley off to Tristan. He was the right partner in every sense and his other life didn’t concern him a lot because he knew how to balance it.

Chapter 243: [Bonus Chapter]I need a favor

Getting changed, Alice drove to meet her mother. It was one of their family’s restaurants where her mother asked to meet her. Parking the car in front of the restaurant, Alice walked in.

The manager of the restaurant knew her and he was also the one to guide her to the seat her mother was already waiting for her.

Reaching the spot, Alice saw her mother and she took a deep breath before she walked and stood in front of her.

"Mom" she called.

Ashlyn had been waiting for Alice’s arrival as she left the house as soon as she agreed to meet her in person.

"Alice, my daughter you are here" Ashlyn smiled extending her hand to embrace her daughter but was stopped when Alice ignored her and took the seat in front of her.

"Let’s get to the point mom. I don’t have an entire day to stay here" Alice knew her mother was just putting an act of being nice to her because she wanted something in return.

It had always been this way, but not anymore. She was not going to get fooled by her kindness.

Ashlyn pursed her lips into a thin line, withdrawing back her hand and slowly clutching it into a fist.

Alice who had her eyes on her mother caught the expected act and smirked. Ashlyn composed her annoyance and forced a smile before taking her seat.

"I know, you must be quite busy with your new life Alice along with your rich boyfriend, but don’t you remember your parent’s, daughter" Ashlyn’s words made Alice chuckle.

"Daughter, did I hear you right, mom? You weren’t this generous towards me" Alice was finding it hard to cope with her mother’s act that she couldn’t stop herself from mocking her.

’Did she lose her mind somewhere before coming here’ Alice thought.

Ashlyn was finding it hard to stick to her stand, that she wanted to give up and slap Alice for mocking her mother. If they weren’t in the restaurant, she would’ve shown her how it feels to disobey her mother.

"Anyways, just cut the crap. This generous act doesn’t suit you. You better return to your original self" Alice didn’t want to waste her time watching her mother act like a different persona.

This time Ashlyn couldn’t control her anger and sneered," Is this how you talk to your mother Alice? Where are your manners"

"Good to see you back mom" Alice maintained her cool, and watched her mother look around, observing if anyone had seen her act out of character.

"Don’t worry no one is bothered in listening to our talks, so can you tell me why you wanted to meet me" Alice let go of her playful self and came straight to the point.

Ashlyn heaved out a sigh, watching Alice turn a blank eye on her and she found it a little weird to speak up. It took her a lot of pride to come and asked her to meet her but she had to do it for them.

"Alice... I need a favor from you" Ashlyn finally found her voice and she spoke. Her eyes saw the change in Alice’s expression as it turned cold and ugly.

"And why do you think I would help you" came her straightforward reply. She wasn’t stupid to not see this coming. She was already sure about it. This had always been their motive behind a kind façade.

"It’s regarding your father’s company. He is facing a crisis, Alice. The investors are pulling out their money. Hayes Reid the highest shareholder in our company also withdrew his portion and your dad’s company is heading to bankruptcy. And the one who can get us out of this difficult phase is you" Ashlyn had never seen her husband lose his cool that he even went on drinking because he was facing the worst.

They needed money and it was only Alice could save them from going bankrupt.

Alice fell loss for words listening to her mother’s words and as she observed her she found her genuine. It wasn’t an evil play but the fear of losing the luxury was quite evident on her face.

"How can I help you? I am just a mere photographer. Even my savings won’t save dad’s company from going cashless" Alice stated and watched Ashlyn shake her head.

"It’s not you who would help us, it’s Noah I am referring to" Ashlyn’s words took Alice by surprise and she looked at her in disbelief. Her mother was really cunning.

Letting out a defeated chuckle Alice watched her more frown. "What is there to laugh at," Ashlyn asked when she found Alice laughing at her.

"You are such a smart woman more and also...." she paused and the smile on her face dropped," Shameless" her words made Ashlyn frown and she voiced," Mind your words, Alice. It’s your mother you are talking about"

"Where was that mother when her husband was badmouthing the man you are seeking help from" Alice couldn’t hold her anger and snapped grasping everyone’s attention.

Ashlyn noticed every eye around her turn to them and felt embarrassed. "Lower your voice, Alice. Everyone s watching us" she tried to put sense into Alice’s mind but it all went in vain when she stood up.

"You think, I would ask Noah to extend his helping hand towards dad’s company when all he did was look down on him" Alice wasn’t going to stop there. She would let her mother see know that she can’t force her for doing things in exchange for getting recognized.

Alice was not going to let them use Noah for their benefit. She would never let their evil intention reach him.

Ashlyn was losing her patience. She didn’t know Alice would end up rejecting her. If she wasn’t in need of help, she would haven’t wasted her time seeing her face.

She could tell that Alice had become more of a fierce and rude person but she had to keep her reminded where she belonged.

"Is this how you are going to pay for taking care of you all these years" Ashlyn didn’t hold back this time and raised her voice.

"Is this how you are going to get into your father’s good book by turning your back on him when he is in need" Ashley knew manipulating Alice was a simple task, she just had to bring the past that’s it.

Chapter 244: For not giving up

Alice’s face crumpled as she stared at her mother in utter disbelief. Does she really deserve to be called a mother? She was a shame to those women who truly loved their children selflessly.

She was again trying to make her crumble under the weight of being a good daughter for them when in reality she had always been one. It was only they who didn’t see her worth but only took her as a means to bring wealth into their life.

Back then, it was Dylan whom they saw as a source of wealth and now it was Noah they wanted to use.

"Why don’t you ask that question to yourself mom" she snapped when Alice didn’t find any regret in her mother’s tone of speaking. She was still sound like a proud lady who didn’t like anyone to correct her except her husband.

Ashlyn was stunned to see Alice answering her back so rudely that she couldn’t control her anger and got up before slapping her right on her face.

"You ungrateful brat!!.." this time Ashlyn didn’t hold back and snapped furiously. She didn’t care if the people around will talk about them, but it was too much to take from her daughter who had forgotten the manners to speak with her.

Alice didn’t say a word. She wasn’t surprised at all, Ashlyn had always been like this. Whenever things didn’t happen according to her, she would use physical strength to make her do it. It was only that, she happened to raise her hand on her after so many years.

"Chuckle... Is this all you could do?" turning her face to Ashlyn, Alice said in pain. Her eyes turned red as she tried fighting back her tears. She wouldn’t cry in front of this heartless woman who was unfortunately her mother.

Ashlyn stared at Alice in utter disbelief. She still had the nerves to talk back in return. Such a shameless daughter she had birth, she thought shaking her head at her misfortune of having a son either.

"You ask me for a favor and I reject it" her words made Ashlyn’s eyes grow wider in shock.

She thought, using the same reason she would be able to get Alice by her side but everything backfired.

"Neither I nor my boyfriend would become a victim of your greed. I choose to abandon it and I chose to recognize you as my parents" Alice declared her final words and turned to leave from there without sparing another glance at Ashlyn.

Falling back on her seat in defeat, Ashlyn could only see their downfall heading nearer.

Brown Mansion

After Richard left, Tristan feed Ashley the food he brought along. Like an obedient kid, Ashley finished everything without showing any tantrums.

Taking the glass of water from her hand, Tristan placed it back on the tray and asked the maid to take everything back.

Once the door got closed, Tristan climb down from the bed and walked toward the table, and picked up his laptop before returning to Ashley’s side.

He had some work shown up that he wanted to finish, so he could spend his time with his wife.

"You are going to work?" Ashley asked as she watched Tristan turn on the laptop before placing it on his lap.

"Hmm, just a little bit. I will finish it soon" he assured her and she slowly leaned closer to him resting her head on his shoulder, watching him do his work.

It was the very time, she had seen Tristan so focus. The way his fingers skillfully worked on the keyboard, she could tell the man was a genius, and no doubt he was the number one businessman.

Earlier she wasn’t very fond of the business world or any news related to it. She only focused on her modeling career and gave her best, but after meeting Tristan, she became more interested in his life.

She recalled the day, he gave her his business card with his personal number mentioned on it. She had thought about throwing it away but when she read his name her entire world came to a standstill.

Tristan Knight, the name written on it held so much power that even Miley started to fear for her. Everyone knew Tristan Knight was an anti-social man, hardly showing up his face to anyone.

Very few were honored to meet him in person and they all respected him and his privacy of being away from social media. But for her, he broke his protocol, and not to mention it was also her to whom he lost his virginity.

Smiling at her thought, Ashley crane her head up, looking at Tristan’s side profile. How did she not meet him before? If he showed up earlier, she wouldn’t have wasted her valuable time with someone undeserving of it.

Tristan who felt Ashley’s eyes on him made him stop his work and he turn to look at her." Why are you staring at me?" he asked.

"Why did you wait for me Tristan? What if I never found out about Greg’s infidelity, then would you have given up your love for me" her unexpected words took him by surprise.

Ashley never asked him why he never tried to court her and just kept loving her from afar. What if he didn’t find out about Greg and Jane, then he would never have confessed to her.

Tristan gasped like a fish, watching her calm, yet adoring eyes. They were staring at him with love.

"H-how did you-" he tried to ask but Ashley sealed his lips for a kiss and he lost track of the question.

"I have my ways, Mr. Knight," she said smiling against his lips and pulled back staring at his dumbstruck expression. He looked like a lost child unable to function.

"Then why didn’t you confront me" his lips broke into a smile and he quickly placed his laptop on the side table before fully turning to face Ashley in excitement.

"Because you never told me, you have been secretly loving me even before we met in the real essence" Ashley shrugged her shoulder and leaned back.

Tristan pouted his lips thinking, why never he took the courage to declare his love for her and just waited for her to break up with Greg. But then he remembered her words and he snapped his head in her direction before he too leaned back.

His eyes looked straight into hers and his breathing slowly calmed down. The thought of never getting noticed by her ripped his heart, but he was grateful, that his fate never ended up being an unrequited love and he got his beloved with him.

"I would never stop loving you, Ash. Watching you from afar felt like breathing for me. Even a small gleam of a smile on your face would make my heart feel happy and your upset face would stab my heart. It took me a lot to stop myself from not pulling you in my arms and telling you that you have me... And you deserve better" he expressed how he had been living after he realized how much he loved her and how it was impossible for him to stay away from her or not to see her even for a day.

Ashley felt her eyes tearing up. She was so stupid to find love in the wrong man. She was so off herself that she took a decision that ended up hurting her and the people around her.

Richard always tried to warn her but she was too blinded by her love for Greg. Luckily, his true intentions were exposed and now, she is in a happy place with the right person.

"Thank you," she said with her lips trembling.

Tristan shook his head and pulled her making her sit on his lap and stared straight into her eyes and heard her repeat the words again," Thank you for not giving up on me. Thank you for living me with the hope that one day, I would finally see you and your love for me"

Ashley was overwhelmed with all the emotions that kept filling her heart and she let them be expressed with her words.

"And that you for being the light of my life. For bringing this stone-like heart pump in your beats" pulling her back her neck Tristan kissed her.

Ashley moved a little closer, having better access and also feeling his hardness rub again her clit.

"I want you, inside me," she said, as her breath quickened.

Tristan swiftly pinned her on the bed with him on her top. He rested her hands above her head and asked her to no use them. He was taking Taylor’s words into consideration and wanted her to cooperate.

Ashley bobbed her head and in no time Tristan undressed both of them before he cherished her body. His fingers thrust deep into her core prepared her for Tristan to position himself between her legs and entered in with one swift move.

Chapter 245: Ready to have kids

After the heated session, Tristan laid next to Ashley with his palm resting on her tummy, while his eyes admiring her.

His lips curled up thinking about something and he leaned forward placing a kiss on her cheeks.

"What was that for?" Ashley asked turning her head to face him and watching him smile.

"Nothing, I just felt like kissing you. You know that you have a chubby cheek" he said making her arch her brow.

"I know... but this isn’t about my cheeks. It’s something else" she stated and then looked down at his palm that rested on her stomach with him slowly caressing it.

"Are you still taking the pills?" he asked out of nowhere.

Ashley raised her brows when she tried to recall the last time she consumed them. Her eyes widen and she snapped her attention to him.

"No, It has been five days, since I last took them" Ashley remembered in realization.

"Hmm... I think you should stop taking them. I don’t want them to affect your health" he stated.

Tristan knew they have been more than active with their sexual activities, and it was kind of taking a toll on her health.

Ashley pondered on his words and asked," You want to have children"

Tristan looked up. His expression little complicated, but deep inside she was right. At some point, he wanted to have children with her, but only when she was ready.

"What’s your thought on it," he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.

This thought never popped into her mind, but now when he asked her back, she thought about it and a smile appeared on her face. Her bearing Tristan’s child in her womb gave her a giddy feeling. The child will be the fruit of their love.

"I don’t mind having one," she said and watched his eyes grow wide in surprise. Did she wanted to have a child, he thought.

"You mean to say, there is no wrong in getting pregnant," he asked just to make sure, he wasn’t assuming everything on his own.

"No... I don’t mind having a child" she tried to hide her amusement, watching him look at her like he heard something wrong but she could and burst into a laugh.

"You don’t believe me," she asked pinching his cheeks.

He looked like he was still in denial at the words he heard from her. It only showed how eager he was to become a father but was trying to keep it to himself, because of her.

Tristan tried to say something but couldn’t speak as he was still absorbing her words and soon his lips curled up into a smile. Not able to control his excitement, he pulled her closer into a hug and kissed her head.

"You know, I always dreamed of having a family with you. But never thought it would ever come true" he sounded a little nervous as he pondered his deepest wish to her.

After Tristan realized his love for Ashley, he kept dreaming about things he would want to do with her. From small dates to marriage to having a small family of their own, he had every image of them appearing in his mind.

All his dream came crashing down when he found Ashley like Greg. He never imagined a day like this would ever come, where he would be telling her about his dreams. It all felt so unreal.

Now that he thought about his loneliness, he couldn’t help but smile.

Ashley just listened to him, with her hands firmly gripping him around. She didn’t know, he had been dreaming about it for so long.

Back then, the thought of having Tristan’s kids did cross her mind, but she was too focused on taking revenge on Jane and Greg. Things around them were a little chaotic, with her name being tarnished at every step of her career.

But now anymore. Everything was fine, with her life going right on its track, and now was ready to have kids. Smiling in satisfaction, she closed her eyes feeling the warmth of his embrace.

Noah was waiting for Alice to return. Though he gave her permission to meet her mother alone, but his heart wasn’t at peace since the second she left. He had no idea what was her mother’s intention behind this secret meeting, but he hoped it wouldn’t trigger Alice’s emotions somehow.

They were the most twisted people he ever come across, who treated their daughter like a toy, hurting and playing with her feeling for their benefit But not anymore... he can’t sit and wait for her.

Getting restless, Noah quickly pick up the car keys and dashed out of the house only to find Alice stepping out of the elevator.

Watching her in front of his eyes, Noah sighed and sprinted to her, pulling her into his embrace." What took you so long?" he asked. Concern laced his voice as he gripped her firmly.

Alice blinked her eyes pushing back the tears that kept surfacing every now and then. But when he hugged her she broke. Burying her face into his neck she sniffed.

"A-Alice, what’s wrong," he asked pulling her away and watched her cry silently.

He hated whenever he saw her tearing up. It ripped his heart, making it uneasy for him to stand sober.

When Alice didn’t answer him, he just carried her in his arms and walked back inside the house.

Sitting on the couch with Alice on his lap, her head resting on his shoulder while his arms were around her waist, Noah let her take some time to relax. He knew her mother must’ve said something that made her reach this point where she could hold back her tears anymore.

Caressing her back, he stayed silent, allowing her to sort her emotions and when she did, Alice finally pulled back.

"You know somewhere deep within my heart, I thought one day for one fucking day, my parents would see my worth. I thought me leaving that house, and staying away from them would make them realize their mistake. But no, I was wrong" she said with a sad smile and wiped off her tears.

Taking a deep breath she told him what happened when she met her mom and how she asked her to convince him to help them. Noah was in utter disbelief, but somewhere he had seen this coming.

After his parents pulled away all their shares from Grey internationals, Dylan started facing problems. Maybe he must’ve sought help from Hayes Reid, Avera’s father and because of his daughter’s blind love for him, Hayes must’ve agreed to help him and he must’ve targeted the Keller to get even with them.

"Some people can never change and my parents are one of them," he heard her speak and he snapped out of his thoughts.

Alice thought she was expecting way too much from her parents, even though she knew, that day would never come. Them seeing her worth would only become a dream an unwishful dream.

Noah just remained quiet and let her vent out. He stayed there comforting her without questioning her anything. He wanted her to free herself from the expectations she held in her heart in regard to her parents.

"How can someone be selfish, that they couldn’t even see how much damage they had already caused, yet they aren’t satisfied? Sometimes it leads me to question my identity. Am I really their daughter?" she asked feeling defeated.

All these years, she longed for her parent’s love, but they never saw her because she wasn’t someone they wished to have. They greed for a son to lead their legacy, but she was born breaking her father’s wish.

Sometimes she wished god wouldn’t have shown her the world she didn’t fit in because every day yearning for something that she couldn’t get was breaking her hope.

"Am I worthless?" she asked looking straight into his eyes.

Noah never thought Alice was bottling up so many emotions within that she was doubting herself.

"No, You are worth more than anything in this world Alice. You just need the right people around to know you" Noah would never let her doubt herself. She was worth more than anything someone could wish for and he was grateful that he found her.

Resting their forehead together, he brushed the tip of their nose," And I am thankful that I found you" his voice softened as he conveyed his heart.

Alice bobbed her head trying to fight back her tears again. She too was thankful that she found him. Through him, she met his parents who were so kind and loving, treating her like their own daughter.

"I never want to see them again Noah. Never" wrapping her arms around his neck, she mumbled. She finally closed her parent’s Chapter leaving them in the hands of their greed that took them along to face their downfall.

It was their karma and they had to face it.
