Ch. 411..415: Charmed by the Billionaire CEO Chapter 411-415
Chapter 411: Slip in coma
Gwen stood still as she watched him pick up those empty bottles in his hands. The moment he stood up and was about to walk past her, she quickly grabbed his arm stopping him from taking a step ahead.
"Was it because of me you decided to drink?" she asked feeling the heaviness in her chest.
Gwen knew she had done a mistake by doubting him and it will always make her feel guilty, but she didn’t want him to take the extreme step of ruining his health.
Karl noticed the unshed tears forming in her eyes and before they could stream down, he let go of his hand and hugged her.
"Don’t blame yourself. It was my decision..." Karl explained.
Gwen buried her face into his neck and sniffed. She knew Karl never blame her for anything happening to him but deep down she knew it was her who pushed him to harm himself.
Staying in his arms for some time, Gwen then pulled back and said," Promise me you won’t touch them again" There was a gleam of seriousness in her tone but her eyes showed concern within.
Karl couldn’t help but smile at her fake warning. Tapping the tip of her red nose, Karl agreed with her. "I won’t... I promise, but there.. also one thing I want you to promise me"
"What.." she asked sniffing her flowing nose.
"You will never leave me... never again" Karl expressed his deeper fear as he stared at her seriously.
Gwen could sense the fear of losing her lingering within his orbs and she promised them to appear for the last time.
"I won’t... leave you ever again Karl... that’s my promise to you," Gwen said with an affirmation, her eyes boring deeply into his.
As time passed both found themselves drowning in each other’s eyes and before they could know they were already kissing.
Clutching the empty bottles in his hand, Karl deepened the kiss, savoring her mouth like there is no tomorrow.
Gwen too relaxed and reciprocated back, deepening the kiss passionately. Her hands rested on his back firmly.
"Umm..." The sound of moans and groans echoed inside the living hall as the couple didn’t stop.. until they ran out of oxygen.
"Ha..." Gwen gasped as she panted and looked up to see Karl’s flushed face.
It amused her to see him turning pink, but she loved the effect she had on him.
Resting their forehead together Karl gave her a small peck before he entirely pulled back and walked towards the trash bin.
"Just give me ten minutes I’ll clean the entire mess" Karl voiced from the kitchen but it was too late as Gwen had already started the work.
While Gwen was busy picking up other bottles, she heard her phone ring.
Walking towards the table next to the couch she looked at the flashing screen that showed her mother’s name on it.
A smile crept on her face as she bloomed with happiness and quickly answered the call.
"Mom.. you were right.." Gwen was about to tell Grace that she had finally sorted her difference with Karl but stopped when she heard her cry from the other end she frowned.
"Mom..." She asked in confusion and the moment Grace spoke her entire world came to a standstill.
Gwen stumbled on her feet about to lose her balance when Karl grabbed her from behind.
"Careful..." he warned with his eyes anxiously looking at her.
Dropping the phone from her hand, she then turned to look at Karl. Her lips trembled as she began to speak," Brother... he... met with an accident..."
Those broken words from her were enough to alarm Karl and without wasting any time longer they rushed to the hospital where Tristan was been taken.
****
[ Health Care]
"How is he..." Karl asked Noah who stood outside the emergency ward along with Trevor and Grace.
Alice had been trying to console Grace who didn’t stop crying even for once.
"Mom..." Gwen rushed to her mother’s side as she too broke down into tears.
"He is serious... " Noah said with much hesitation as his eyes moved to look at Grace. His heart ripped watching her so helpless.
"And what about Ash... where you able to find her?" he further interrogated.
On his way to the hospital, Karl called Noah who told him everything about the accident and how Ashley was too with Tristan at that time but when their team reached the spot, they couldn’t find Ashley anywhere.
"No... we are still searching her"
Karl ran his hand over his hair feeling helpless with the situation they landed in.
"God... I just hope we find her" Tears well in Karl’s eyes worrying for both Ashley’s and Tristan’s safety.
Doctor Wayne had been the one treating Tristan. The moment he was found by their men, he lost a lot of blood almost turning cold.
He had some fractured bone and received a huge blow on the left side of his head, bleeding excessively. It was kind of hard to judge from the situation he was brought here.
The red light went on for more than four hours when it turned off and the door of the ward finally opened.
Taylor walked out with extreme fatigue taking over his face.
"How is he?" Trevor who had been silent all the time approached his friend. His eyes hopefully begged at him.
Noah and Karl too dashed toward Taylor waiting for his response, with their heart beating rapidly inside their chest.
"He is out of danger but... I don’t know when he will wake up" Taylor responded with a depressing tone.
Taylor had managed to stop the bleeding, but due to the excessive blood flow, Tristan’s body slipped into a coma. And he didn’t know how long will it take for him to wake up.
Grace who was looking at Taylor with the same expectant gaze broke down again.
Everyone was shattered by the news Taylor broke, but it was the reality they must face. Now they only have to pray for letting Tristan pulled out from the slumber he had slipped into.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the corner of Country X, Ashley’s unconscious body was brought to a secluded place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, somewhere no one tried to avert their eyes.
As she lay unconsciously on the sick bed inside the treatment room, the doctor examined her current state.
After a brief examination, the doctor finally opened his mouth.
"The baby and the mother both are doing fine" the doctor concluded checking her vitals and turning to face the woman whose eyes darkened on his statement.
"Baby.." Sandra who stood there gave the doctor a confused look.
"Yes.. she is two months old" the doctor confirmed and left from there with only Sandra inside the room.
Darkness surrounded her eyes as she watched Ashley lay on the bed. The fury she had been holding within intensified as her vein popped out on her forehead.
"You snatched my Tristan away from me... now I will snatch your baby from you. But there’s still some time for it darling. The pain will be slow and steady" Sandra muttered with a shivering tone as a manic smile crept her lips making her look crazy as she stared at Ashley from a distance.
*****
Gabriel who received the news, mobilized his men to find Ashley. He used every source possible that would help them track Ashley’s whereabout, but so far till now, he didn’t receive any positive feedback.
"Damnit..." slamming his hand on the hard surface of the table Gabriel watched the CCTV footage where Tristan car was hit by a random truck.
The collision was so impactful that the car flew way rolling towards the tree hitting it roughly.
No doubt the driver died on spot and Tristan received serious injuries.
Dropping his head, Gabriel cursed for the failure they recieved for delaying Sandra’s matter for too long when..
"Boss... over there"
Gabriel his head in Tori’s direction who too was present with him along with Max followed her gaze and turned his eyes back on the screen.
A chilling gleam passed through Gabriel’s eyes and he instructed with an extremely cold tone. "Fetch Patrick here"
Both Tori and Max gulped at the sigh of Gabriel’s terrifying aura. Bobbing their head both left the base, following his orders.
Gabriel watched Lucas and a few men carry Ashley unconscious body along with them leaving Tristan stranded inside the car dying...

[Hospital]
Grace peeked from the squared shape window and watched Tristan laying on the side bed with so many wires wrapped around.
His head was coverage with bandage while his right hand wrapped with a plaster. His always smiling face had now turned pale with lots of scratching over it.
"Wake up Tristan... Ashley needs you..." she cried silently touched the glass as if she was touching Tristan through it.
Ashley’s whereabouts where still unknown, but deep inside Grace had a nagging feeling that something wrong was going to happen and to stop it Tristan had to wake up and find his wife as soon as possible.
Chapter 412: Found the clue
A few hours passed and yet Tristan didn’t show any sign of movement as he just lay unconscious on the bed. A machine kept monitoring his vitals making sure everything was fine.
Blood was infused into his body, yet the man didn’t wake up.
As if he was too tired to even stir and wanted to keep sleeping without bothering anyone.
As the man remained unconscious, the door of his room click opened and a woman walked him.
Her steps were steady as she made her way toward Tristan.
Her calm eyes looked at him but soon she furrowed and reached her hand to touch his face.
"Tristan... hubby... how long do you want to sleep" she complained cupping his cheeks, slowly stroking it with her thumb.
Tristan who had been in deep slumber flinched at the voice. His eyes were still closed but the warmth of that familiar hand running over his face gave him a sense of peace.
’Ashley’ he muttered the only name engraved in his heart and slowly opened his eyes leaning closer towards the touch of her soft palm.
The light inside the room bothered his view but soon it stabilized and he could finally see her standing next to him.
A smile crept on his face, as his heart began to beat rapidly finally finding her closer to him.
"Nothing happened to you" he whispered in his hoarse voice.
The memory of her lying unconscious in his arm remained imprinted in his mind.
Thinking something happened to her stopped him from waking up but now that she was standing in front of his safe and sound, he couldn’t help but want to touch her.
Suddenly she stopped stroking him and straightened up. "It’s time for you to get out the bed. I and our little bean are waiting for you" she said as the smile on her face slowly faded replacing it with pain.
Tristan couldn’t understand her words, frowned as he watched her take a step back from him.
"A-Ash.. where are you going" Panic surged into his heart as he reached out his hand to hold her but to his surprise she kept taking a step back.
"You have to wake up Tristan... we both are waiting for you.." her teary eyes stared at him from her distance.
"D-don’t go... please... Ash.." Tristan tried to get up but felt restricted as he couldn’t even move his body.
"We are waiting for you hubby... me and our little bean... we both need you" Just like her frame even her voice slowly began to fade and soon she was gone.
"Ashley... stop...don’t go...please" As Tristan screamed his lungs out the machine monitoring his body suddenly began to beep.
Tristan’s entire body was trembling on the bed as his chest heaved up and down due to difficulty in breathing...
"What’s wrong with him..." The nurse who was examining him had so some process in his situation but all of sudden what happened to him?
"Oh god... what should I do.." the nurse panicked at Tristan’s current behavior, quickly informed the doctor about the emergency.
Tristan’s family who were still outside the ward panicked when they saw Taylor and a few other staff rushed towards them.
"What happened?" Noah was the first one who tried to ask his father but due to the emergency, he walk past him leaving everyone worried outside.
Grace’s heart was beating rapidly as she watched the close door. Her mouth didn’t stop mumbling the chants, praying to god for her son’s safety.
"Trevor.. what’s wrong.." she asked her husband who had been by her side the entire time as she looked at Tristan’s ward.
"Everything is fine... don’t worry" was the only words he kept telling for god knows how many times.
Everyone outside turned serious as their eyes never parted from the door and soon after twenty minutes the door flung open and Taylor walked out.
The fatigue on his face was now replaced with amusement as he approached them and declared," Tristan... he is awake and out of danger"
A wave of happiness cross everyone’s eyes as they cried with joy embracing each other.
"Thank you so much" Grace couldn’t help but thank the almighty for listening to her prayers. Now she only had one request and that was to find Ashley.
"Everything seems fine and there is nothing to worry but..." Taylor stopped catching everyone’s attention towards him.
"But remember he still has a wounded head which requires healing. Informing about Ashley’s abduction will stress him" he warned the family members as it was the very first question he asked the moment he opened his eyes.
’Ashley... how is she?’
"Because I doubt he is going to ask about her well-being" he concluded heaving out a deep breath.
Tristan was like a son to Taylor. Though they shared a relation of rivals in the business field, he still cared for him. For now, he brushed off the question but he doubted whether he was going to stop there.
Everyone fell silent at the mention of Ashley’s name. Hours passed, since Ashley’s abduction, yet they weren’t able to find her.
Karl who drove to the base on Gabriel’s call was yet to break any positive news regarding the matter.
Everyone was anxiously hoping to find Ashley before Tristan woke up from the temporary coma, but now they wondered what they would tell him if he asked about his wife to them.
As everyone was trying to come up with a better reason for delaying this matter, Gwen’s phone rang and she excused herself.
"Hello, Karl.. brother woke up" This was the first thing she said the moment she answered the call.
" That’s great news..." Karl said as he heaved out a sigh of relief. But soon that easiness vanished the moment he recalled what Gabriel told him after his arrival.
"Gwen.. we found the clue" he announced.
"What.." Gwen almost yelped inside the corridor catching everyone’s eyes.
"How... where is she? Have you sent our men to bring her? Or is Gabriel bringing her" She started to bombard him with questions.
Everyone could finally relax knowing that they finally found Ashley and she couldn’t wait for them to bring her back to her brother’s side.
Karl could sense the excitement in her voice but he had to break her happiness as the news he was going to reveal would leave them shocked.
"No Gwen, we haven’t found Ashley yet. We just found the person who abducted her" he said with a depressed tone crumbling all her hopes.
The shine in her eyes dimmed and a lump formed in her throat. "W-who is it?" she asked with much difficulty.
"Sandra..."
Chapter 413: Fetch Noah
With his eyes wide open Tristan laid on the hospital bed staring at the ceiling above, blankly.
The moment he woke up there had been an uncertain feeling stirring in his heart which he wasn’t able to forget.
He saw Ashley in his dream. The way she looked at him with those yearning eyes, those beautiful yet painful smiles, the way she started to walk away from him when he tried to reach her and those words she said with utmost faith made him feel uneasy.
He had been asking for her, but no one gave him any answer, and that made him wonder if something wasn’t right.
As he kept looking ahead with his unfazed gaze, the door of his room clicked opened and Grace walked in along with Trevor.
The moment he noticed their presence his eyes fluttered and he immediately turned towards their direction.
Grace gasped when their eyes met. The way he had been staring at her gave her mixed signals, but she managed to maintain her composure.
They had to be strong, knowing how his health was still fragile to handle the reality.
While Grace had other things going on her mind, Tristan’s sudden words caught them off guard.
"Mom, Dad, where is Ashley? I want to meet her" he asked with expectant eyes.
Just like the previous time, he again asked the same question, but this it was his mother he sought answers from. This nasty feeling inside his heart wasn’t giving him peace and he wanted an answer.
He could sense they were trying to hide something from him. He was worried for his wife and wanted to be her, but his body restrict him from moving so.
He felt so helpless about his situation that all he did was ask everyone who came to check on him to take him to his wife. But as usual, no one gave him any response, and that only left him restless...
Now that his parents were here, he will definitely ask them to take him to meet Ashley.
Both Grace and Trevor shared a glance when they heard Tristan’s words. They were warned by Taylor from disclosing any news regarding Ashley to him, but the way he looked at them with hopeful eyes, their resolve began to shake.
They thought giving him any excuse would stop him from questioning them, but everything felt so difficult now.
"S-she is fine... Tristan, but why aren’t you resting? Your injuries are still fresh and need to heal" Grace avoid meeting his eye as she took the chair next to his bed and sat on it.
Tristan frowned when he saw how Grace was avoiding making eye contact with him but then the words she responded somehow overshadow his confusion and his eyes darken the next instant.
"Then why don’t you take me to her? I want to meet her" Tristan asked without moving his eyes from her.
"Ahem... Taylor said you can’t move for a few days as the surgery is still fresh. Any reckless movement might end up re-opening the wounds" This time it was Trevor who responded to him with a straight face.
"Mom, Dad, where is Ashley" This time his deep chilling voice grabbed both of their attention.
Tristan was trying to control his temper knowing how plainly his parents where lying to him right on his face.
When they both shot their eyes at him, he finally declared," I know Ashley isn’t in the hospital... so where is she?" his jaw clenched as he stopped from raising his voice at them.
Tristan had a very sharp hearing ability and when Taylor left his ward that man ended up leaving the door little open. Each and every word they spoke outside was clearly audible to his ears.
Grace and Trevor were stun by his outburst, felt the guilt creep into their heart. Grace was against keep Ashley’s whereabout away from her son, but she was worried for his health.
She was still copping with Ashley’s abduction new and now this.... how was she supposed to disclose this news to him.
"Tristan.. son.. you can’t-" Trevor was about to speak when Grace stopped him.
"No Trev, he had the right to know" Grace couldn’t handle it anymore and deiced to go against Taylor’s words.
She knew her son wasn’t weaker who couldn’t handle the truth. He was the leader of Jaguar, and had dealt many more twisted problems in his life.
And this problem was regarding his wife, then who were they to keep him away from knowing the truth.
Taking a deep breathe, Grace raised her head and looked straight into his eyes before she revealed the truth.
"Ashley... someone abducted her after the accident. And.. that some is none other than-" Tristan cut her short by completing her statement.
"Sandra"
Grace and Trevor were stun by his response when one of them quickly asked. "H-how do you.."
Tristan eyes turned cold when he saw the message on his phone before darkness engulfed him.
He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination or the truth, but now everything started to make sense.
That message from that unknown number wasn’t just an hallucinations but a warning from Patrick. Only the time he sent was too late for him to react.
A dreadful silence engulfed the entire room. Tristan had already suspected this thing but Sandra was way too quick with her motives.
Gladly he had slipped a tracking device in Ashley’s pocket when they last hugged each other in the car.
"Where is Noah... send him here" Tristan suddenly asked and tried to get up.
He had a mixed feeling when he caught the sight of Sandra outside Patrick’s hideout. So he asked Noah to give him his latest tracking device, which was in the form of small chip barely visible to human eye.
The reason why he drove to fetch Ashley was for one of this reason. He wanted to keep her away from his sneak act, but now when her though crossed his mind, he felt restless.
He immediately wanted to find her and their bean and see if they both were alright. Deep within his heart, Tristan was growing restless thinking, about their safety.
He couldn’t predict what might Sandra end up doing if she happens to learn that Ashley was pregnant with his child.
Helpless Grace motioned Trevor to fetch Noah while she helped him sit on the bed. Her eyes careful observed the frown on his face as she could feel the anxiousness within him.
Getting his wife’s signal, Trevor left the ward and after sometime he entered along with Noah.
The moment their eyes met, Noah instantly understood the meaning behind his gaze and immediately walked out of the room without any word.
Chapter 414: I am scared
Laying on the sick Ashley stirred in her sleep when she suddenly shot open her eyes. The light inside the room was dim and everything appeared too blurry for her vision.
But as time passed by and her vision cleared, she finally realized she wasn’t in her room.
’What kind of place is this’ she asked looking at the sketchy room with a few pieces of medical equipment placed next to her bed. It was then everything started rushing through her mind and she gasped in shock.
She remembered facing an accident and how she was being tightly hugged by Tristan when their car flips due to the collision.
The impact was so hard that she ended up losing her consciousness in Tristan’s arms, unaware of what happened next.
"Tristan..." she gasped out his name and forced herself up but felt a sharp pain passing from the nape of her neck to her head, everything suddenly spun around her and she immediately fell back.
"Ah..." Ashley groaned in pain feeling the concussion and lay on the bed.
It took her a while to stabilize before again pushing herself up. Removing the drip attached to her hand, she then climbed down the bed.
Her hand instantly touched her belly and she calmed feeling the sensation of her child being safe inside her womb.
It didn’t take time for Ashley to realize that she was been abducted, but what left her puzzle was why doesn’t she find anyone around.
Her chest heaved up and down suddenly feeling anxious about where she was brought, but then she remembered something and her eyes turned cold the next instant.
While Ashley remained rooted on the spot, she failed to see the small camera fixed on the corner of the ceiling where she stood, as it kept monitoring her every move.
Sitting inside the surveillance room Sandra watched the woman who was none other than the wife of the man she loved crazily.
Unfortunately, he didn’t see her worth and found love in Ashley, but that doesn’t mean, she would let him live happily after he made her suffer so much.
He had to suffer the same fate as her. ’If she doesn’t have him even he won’t have her... ’ she said looking at the woman on the screen.
As her eyes coldly stared at the screen she suddenly heard Ashley speak. "Sandra, I know it’s you who have abducted me. Finally, we met after a long delay"
Lifting her head, Ashley looked at the camera above and smirked, leaving Sandra shocked by her sharpness.
The coldness in her eyes turned even more unbearing, even Sandra felt the chills.
She could see the gleam of Tristan’s appearance through her action. He too carried this cold aura scaring the shit out of everyone, but she had never thought even his wife would also hold the same overbearing personality as his.
Sandra let out a chuckle and leaned back on her chair as she watched the woman with amusement.
"I underestimated this woman but never mind. It will be fun to deal with you Ashley" Sandra muttered amusingly.

[Hospital]
Sitting on the bed Tristan watched Noah track Ashley’s location. His fingers moved swiftly on the keyboard as he used his skill wisely.
After much brainstorming, Noah finally found something valuable and shot his head in Tristan’s direction.
"We found her location but there is one problem" he stated noticing the quick change in Tristan’s blue eyes.
"The tracking device I traced is pointing at a particular location but when I searched the place, it turned out to be a forest area" Noah muttered scratching the back of his head nervously as Tristan eyed turned extremely cold the next second.
"Maybe it dropped there while they brought her along" Tristan shot back, giving a meaningful reason.
Noah stilled before he bobbed his head in understanding. "You can be right" he responded agreeing to his doubts.
"Keep tracking the entire place until you find a clue" Tristan commanded and pushed himself to the right ready to climb down the bed when Grace entered his ward and yelped the next second.
"What are you doing Tristan" rushing towards his bed she stopped him taking a step ahead.
"You can’t act recklessly" she warned, shooting him a deadly glare.
"Mom... I can’t stay here when my wife is missing" he snapped ignoring her warning glares and again forcing himself to stand only to feel the immense pain rushing through his body.
"Argh..." Tristan groans in pain before falling back on the bed.
Clenching his jaw he tried to suppress his ache but no matter how much he tried the pain still stayed there.
Grace could only stand there, shaking her head in denial watching her stubborn son, who wasn’t giving up. Even with so much pain he still tried to get only to fall back again.
"Argh..." this time he groan way too loud slamming his other hand on the bed frustratingly.
Unable to tolerate Tristan’s stubbornness Grace finally yelled at him." Stop it, Tristan. How long are you going to act stubborn?"
This was the first Grace has ever raised her voice on him. For her, Tristan was the most sensible child but today finding him adamant she couldn’t hold back herself.
Noah who was busy working, sitting on the couch stopped his movement and looked at Grace. He had never seen her this upset but at this moment he could see how pissed she looked because her son and his best friend were creating a fuss.
"I have a call to attend" Noah excused faking a call and walked out of the room sensing the tension between the two.
Even though they treated him like a family member yet, he still wanted to give them the privacy they needed at that moment.
Tristan had no clue what he has been doing and Grace was the only one who could handle him.
Once the door behind them shut, Grace turned her attention back on Tristan only to find him breathing heavily. His shoulder trembled every now and then while his head remained lowered.
She knew Tristan had been trying to keep himself intact but his helplessness brought the worst out of him.
He was an undefeated warrior who never failed, but when it came to Ashley, Tristan would always turn out to be a vulnerable man showing his weakness without hesitation.
Grace felt like someone stabbed her heart with a knife when she noticed those tears rolling down his eyes and she quickly hugged him.
The moment Tristan felt his mother’s warmth he broke down wrapping his free hand around her waist, burying his face into her stomach.
"Mom... I am scared..." he muttered expressing his deepest fear of something happening to his wife and child.
Chapter 415: Double -cross
Grace kept caressing his back, allowing him to pour his heart out. She could feel his fears, but it wasn’t time to let them dominate his rational mind.
It was time for them to think wisely and reached Ashley as soon as possible and for that, he had to shove those fears aside.
"Nothing will happen to her... she is your wife Tristan and soon to be the mother of your child and she knows how to take care of herself when such difficult situations arise" Her words were firm enough to stop him from pouring.
Though she was anxious regarding Ashley’s safety, she knew her daughter-in-law wasn’t a damsel in distress and knew how to handle the situation on her own.
Though she had no backup right now, she knew Ashley would anything in her power to kept her and the baby safe.
Grace’s words worked like magic to Tristan’s ears and he slowly pulled back. The fear in his eyes was now replaced with determination.
"You are right Mom... she is my woman. She won’t let anything happen to them both" he declared with firmness in his voice.
Tristan couldn’t fall weak at such a crucial moment. He had to grasp his thoughts and find Ashley as soon as possible...
*****
Meanwhile, at Linda’s place, she had been trying to reach Karl, but all her calls were going to voice mail.
"What’s wrong with him? Why isn’t he answering my calls" she muttered and tossed her phone aside.
Back there outside the company’s building, she couldn’t talk with him much knowing how Ryan had been stalking them from a distance. She knew the man was still doubtful towards them and it was kind of annoying her.
If he wasn’t this incompetent, she wouldn’t have to think of marrying another man. His lack of status and laziness toward work brought them to this point where couldn’t even give their child his name.
Sitting on the bed, her mind was busy thinking about how she should bring up this topic about Karl in front of her grandfather when suddenly her phone rang and she snapped out of her thoughts.
Looking at the name flashing on the screen her face turned grim and she lazily answered the call.
"Hi babe.. what are you doing?" Ryan spoke from the other end making her roll her eyes in annoyance.
Linda had this certain feeling about Ryan being suddenly jealous of Karl and her interaction which was why he had been turning into a clingy person.
"Sleeping" she replied with the utmost disinterest.
Ryan noticed the change in her voice and fume. He recalled the moment of her being so happy while chatting with Karl but when it came to him she suddenly sounded least interested.
His doubt about her loyalty began to shake with her lack of attentiveness.
Linda noticed the silence from the other side and continued," If you don’t have to say anything then let me sleep, Ryan. Both baby and me need rest" With that she pulled away the phone and ended the call.
Linda was least bothered to even handle Ryan’s jealousy. Even after assuring him that it was all part of their plan yet, this man started to doubt her but now when she pondered a little, she had always been attracted towards Karl.
The thought of Karl again popped into her mind and she quickly checked her phone to see if he even checked the text she send him before.
Disheartened with the response, this time she placed the phone aside on the side table and lay on the bed.
Her thoughts had been going in circles regarding Karl’s change in behavior. One part of herself wanted to trust him but the other part was still doubting him.
Aman who had been too loyal to his girlfriend, suddenly decided to take responsibility for her child left her wondering what was going in his mind to dive into a quick decision.
’Didn’t you want it from the beginning? Then why are you doubting him now’ her positive subconscious whispered out of nowhere?
"But what if it’s not true and him being this nice towards her is fake" she muttered again doubting his intentions.
Linda had been very careful with her steps toward Karl. Even before she approached him she already had gathered information about him and his relationship with Gwen.
She knew Karl shared a very strong bonding with the Knight family and they treated him like their own family member. And the woman he was in love with was the daughter of the Knight family, and after much thinking, she finally took the risk to break them apart.
Knowing how they loved their daughter, she doubted they would make them reconcile knowing how Karl hurt their beloved daughter. There was no way they would accept a cheat back into their daughter’s life and with what she had noticed with Gwen, after learning the truth about her fake pregnancy with Karl, she doubted there was any chance of them getting back together.
"I think you are right. I shouldn’t doubt my instincts. What if he genuinely wants to accept my child" A gleam of satisfaction crossed her eyes and she heaved out a smile feeling contented with how this are progressing the way she imagined them to be.
Linda didn’t realize when she fell asleep while thinking about Karl but there was a certain someone who wasn’t happy at all.
Ryan had thrown everything inside the room after Linda abruptly hung the phone on him. He thought after confessing his insecurity to him she would finally have a change of heart but he was wrong.
She was so into fulfilling her plan that she didn’t even care about him. He could finally see his worth in her eyes and his doubt of her throwing him out of her life became more obvious.
"No Linda! You can’t treat me like shit. You promise to love me and now you can’t change that love for me" Ryan declared with his bloodshot eyes staring at her picture frame next to his bedside table.
She had always seen him as a useless person even though she kept claiming her love for him, but if she ever tried to double-cross him then he also know how to change the course of her plan by ruining it.
