Chapter 546: Can’t guarantee how long

Meanwhile, the girls held captive finally decided to stir from their slumber. It was Jenny who first regained her consciousness and found herself tied to the chair.

However, the surprise soon turned into dread when she found Bianca next to her tied to another chair.

"How did you come here?" Jenny’s anxious voice caught Bianca’s attention and she slowly opened her eyes, moving her head to the side.

Bianca’s vision cleared and her eyes widened in shock finding Jenny with her.

"Jenny, are you okay? Did Martin hurt you? Oh my god, I was so scared. He said he would kill you " Ignoring Jenny’s words Bianca started inquiring with her eyes frantically moving all over her frame.

Bianca was worried about Jenny’s safety the moment she saw that video.

Martin threatened her that he would harm Jenny if she didn’t follow his words. But now that she examined her by herself, Bianca was glad to see Jenny fine.

Jenny frowned hearing her words and soon something clicked in her mind and she asked," Don’t tell me you risked yourself because Martin threatened you?"

Bianca paused upon hearing Jenny’s words and watched her glare at her.

Lowering her eyes Bianca bobbed her head in agreement and heard her shout.

"You stupid girl. Why did you even pay heed to his threat?" Jenny expressed her disappointment only to hear Bianca snap in return.

"Then what should I have done? Watch him harm you. How can you even say that?" Bianca hated the way Jenny was scolding her.

She was still trying to protect her even when her life was at risk. Martin clearly stated he wouldn’t think twice before killing her if she tried refusing him.

Bianca never wanted Jenny to face a life-threatening incident because of her.

Martin wanted her in exchange for Jenny’s safety so why wouldn’t she do that if it meant he would spare her friend’s life?

Jenny noticed tears welling in Bianca’s eyes only to realize how she overreacted without concern about her feelings.

"I am sorry. I didn’t mean you scold you. It’s just that finding you here scared me." Jenny explained lowering her gaze feeling guilty for raising her voice on Bianca.

Jenny cursed herself for her stupidity. Only if she had used her brains and hadn’t rushed to the hospital mindlessly, Martin wouldn’t have succeeded in abducting her.

As Jenny kept racking her brain everything started to get clear.

Martin planned her abduction just to get Bianca out of her shell. He wanted to somehow bring Bianca to him just so he could finish the unfinished task of killing her.

Jenny’s eyes grew wide at the sudden realization and she quickly turned towards Bianca.

"Bianca, I-I think we are in huge trouble" Jenny stuttered breaking into beads of sweat.

Bianca was taken aback by the dreadful look on her face. However, instead of agreeing with her Bianca leaned forward and whispered.

"Don’t worry, soon Gabriel will come to rescue us" Her words caught Jenny by surprise with her brows arching in anticipation as she watched Bianca assure her silently.

Bianca averted her gaze from Jenny and recalled the note she kept on the table before leaving the mansion.

’I am sure Gabriel must’ve read it’ Bianca thought, hoping her plan worked and soon Gabriel would come to their rescue.

Standing inside Bianca’s room, Gabriel read the note she left behind.

’ I am sorry for not following your words. But to save Jenny from Martin I have to take the risk. Don’t worry I will make sure nothing happens to me and will wait for you to come and rescue us.

I have left my phone on the table. Track the number and come find me. I am waiting for you love~ (wink emoji)’

Gabriel chuckled reading her words. Even in a difficult situation like this Bianca was unserious.

"Wait for me. I am going to bring you back" Gabriel said and left the house ready to rescue the girls from Martin’s clutch and find the man who was helping him.

Time passed by and it was time for the event to start soon. However, Ashley wasn’t at ease. Her worries for Richard never eased and now she was sure that something was wrong.

Staring at the text message she received from Richard last night, Ashley wondered why he didn’t call her instead.

Richard wasn’t a fan of texting and would always call her just to talk with her even if it was for a short time. But last night this short message from him now left Ashley wondering if her father was safe or if something happened to him.

"Ma’am everyone is expecting you outside" Miley stepped inside her changing room.

The teaser was soon going to launch and the media and sponsors were expecting Ashley since it was her debut film.

However, Ashley stopped and looked for her husband who was never seen anywhere.

Anxious, Ashley unlocked her phone expecting to make Tristan a call when her phone buzzed and her eyes widened seeing the name of the sender.

"Jennifer"

Ashley contemplated why Jennifer would text her. But soon something clicked in her mind and she pressed the button and opened the text.

’ I heard you aren’t able to contact your father.?’

Ashley’s eyes narrowed as she read the text and the first thing she assumed was how did Jennifer even know about her father.

Soon another message popped and her eyes darted back on the phone. It was a video that she received this time.

Ashley was skeptical about what was this time she wanted to say. But she shook away all her nasty thoughts and clicked the play button only to receive the biggest shock of her life.

Inside the video, she saw her father lying on the floor unconscious. His hands and legs were tied and the sight of his vulnerable sight broke her heart.

"D-Dad" Ashley’s voice trembled as she watched the video focused on Richard for a few seconds before it turned and stopped on Jennifer’s face.

’Then don’t worry, he is safe here with me but I can’t guarantee for how long’

Ashley’s face paled upon hearing her dreadful words and the phone in her hand trembled.

Chapter 547: It’s not because of you

The event was about to start, but Ashley was nowhere to be found.

Miley was surprised to see the changing room empty. Ashley disappeared all of a sudden leaving her manager shocked.

While Miley was busy looking for Ashley, she simultaneously kept on calling. The right went for a while however Ashley wasn’t responding to her call.

Ashley wore a scarf and sneaked out of the venue using another exit and found a car waiting for her.

’If you want to know where your father is, then leave the venue as soon as possible. A car is waiting for you, just get in and, make sure no one knows about it, or else, the consequences will be worse than you can imagine’

Ashely’s eyes narrowed recalling Jennifer’s word and she silently made her way to the car and hopped in.

The moment the door closed, Jennifer who was occupying the driver’s seat turned to face Ashley and smirked.

"Ready to meet your father"

Ashley was taken aback to find Jennifer inside the car but she quickly withdrew from her daze and inquired.

"Where is my father?" Ashley clenched her jaw and glared at the woman who dared to abduct her father.

Jennifer’s smile faded and her eyes turned cold. "Be nice to me Ashley or else my one phone call can end your father’s life"

Ashley’s brows knitted upon hearing her words and she pursed her lips into a thin line.

"Now blindfold your eyes with that cloth resting next to your hand" Jennifer instructed with a straight face.

Ashley looked at the side and noticed a blindfold. Glancing her Jennifer she picked up the blindfold and wrapped it around her eyes.

"Firm!" hearing Jennifer’s’ voice Ashley tightened her grip until her eyes hurt

Watching Ashley obediently following her instructions, Jennifer felt immense pleasure. She so wanted to get back to her and now she finally got the chance to show Ashley her place.

Slowly moving her eyes from her, Jennifer started the car and they drove away from the venue.

Meanwhile, inside the abandoned house away from the town, Jenny and Bianca kept on pretending to be unconscious.

They heard Martin and his men enter their room a while ago, however, they left watching them still limp.

Jenny then opened her eyes and shushed Bianca who too jolted from her sleep.

"Why aren’t they doing anything?" Jenny whispered.

Though the room was surveillance-free, Jenny still made sure to keep her voice low knowing Martin’s men were still outside.

"I don’t know. Maybe they are waiting for someone. Did you hear them talking earlier" Bianca pointed and saw Jenny nod her head.

While the girl was busy thinking suddenly the door opened with a bang and Martin stepped inside.

Jenny and Bianca gaped with terror and stared at the man who walked past Martin and stood before them.

"You two gave me a hard time," Lucas said glaring at the girls with hate.

Jenny was unaware of the man standing before her but Bianca soon realized him and dread filled up her heart.

"Y-You are the one who abducted me earlier. Don’t you" Bianca stuttered while staring at Lucas and watched him smirk.

"Yes, it was me. But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to eliminate you earlier. However now, I do have the chance to do that" Lucas said with a tinge of threat in his tone.

Bianca’s eyes fluttered in terror as she slowly turned her head and saw Jenny break into beads of sweat hearing Lucas’s words.

"W-why do you want to kill me? What wrong have I done?" Bianca asked mustering her courage even though she was hell scared.

Lucas tilted his head and gave Bianca a smug look.

"You might have not done anything, but your father did"

Lucas’s words confused Bianca as a deep frown marred her face. ’What does her father have to do with him’ she thought.

Lucas chuckled watching her clueless face and straightened up. "You thought I was after you because you helped me treat Sandra. But you are wrong" Lucas confessed.

Everyone thought Lucas wanted to kill Bianca because she was the one who knew about Sandra and would be the only hurdle to their plans but they were all wrong.

"Your father is the reason why I wanted to kill you," Lucas said leaving everyone shocked.

Martin who too wasn’t aware of the truth quickly rushed to his side.

"What do you mean? All this time you lied to me" the doctor complained.

Lucas side glances at Martin. The betrayed look on his face made him chuckle.

"You think I had been truthful to you all this time" Lucas’s evil eyes shined in amusement that left Martin speechless.

Lucas glanced at the men standing behind them and they quickly grabbed Martin.

Martin gasped and tried to free himself. "You can’t do this to me. I helped you all this time. How can you betray me, Lucas" Martin cursed watching Lucas break into a wicked smile that filled the entire room with dreadness.

Martin failed to see through Lucas’s lie and now he turned his back on him.

"Thank you for your help but now I don’t need you," Lucas said and the men dragged him out of the room.

No sooner did they hear numerous bullets being shot mixed with the painful cry of Martin who died after some time.

Bianca and Jenny were now terrified of the way Martin’s life was cut short. It was then they understood the man before them was ruthless. One wrong move and he wouldn’t spare their lives.

Closing her eyes she prayed for Gabriel and Gavin to come and save them before it was too late.

Jennifer drove the car to the outskirts and reached a secluded spot where Richard was being held captive.

Ashley noticed that the car slowly came to a halt and soon the door opened.

"Get out," Jennifer said and pulled Ashley out of the car and forcefully dragged her somewhere.

Chapter 548: Caught you!

Ashley had no idea where Jennifer had brought her, however, she soon realized that it was just the two of them heading somewhere. She could hear the sound of three more footsteps along with theirs.

Keeping her senses alert Ashley memorized the the direction. Thanks to Tristan who sharpened her defensive skills, hoping it was finally the time to use it.

After about ten minutes they finally stopped and Ashley heard the sound clicking sound of the digital lock and soon the door opened.

"Follow" Ashley once again Jennifer instructed her and she silently walked along.

It was weird as Ashley couldn’t hear a single sound apart from their footsteps wondering if the place she was brought to had no one around.

Jennifer tucked her arm and they finally stopped.

Ashley’s ears twitched at the sound of approaching footsteps and suddenly her blindfold dropped, exposing her vision at the sight of the person she was dying to come across.

"We finally meet" Sandra stood right in front of her, flashing a vicious smile that irked Ashley even to this date.

Pursing her lips, Ashley clenched her jaw while her eyes glared at the woman, observing every little detail of her being.

"We finally meet" Ashley repeated her words and smirked.

After all these months of hide and seek, Sandra finally decided to expose herself.

Jennifer who sensed the heavy tension between the two gulped.

She could feel the chills run down her spine watching the two women glare at each other silently.

"Ahem... I.. Did what you said. Now I should go" Jennifer tried to sneak from the burdening situation.

Sandra wanted Jennifer to help her guide Ashley to her territory and now that she finished doing her job, Jennifer wanted to leave.

Sandra averted her eyes and gave Jennifer an agreeing blink and soon she left the place without another word.

The day Jennifer joined hands with Sandra, she understood the severity of going against her.

Jennifer would never backstab her as her entire life now depends on her charity. If she ever tries to double-cross her, Sandra would kill her the next moment.

Getting into the car, Jennifer drives back to the venue to enjoy the successful night and garner praise for hard work while Ashley gets killed at the hands of her old enemy.

Ashley hated this woman and she knew no matter what she said, Sandra would never change.

Ashley tried counting the guards she came across while coming here and to her relief, there weren’t many. Which concludes that Sandra didn’t have that many people for her protection.

Chapter 549: Saving the girls

Inside the abandoned building, both Jenny and Bianca felt petrified by Martin’s death.

Lucas didn’t think twice before ending his life and that led them to realize that soon he was going to kill them too.

Bianca glanced at Jenny, sadly. She felt bad for her friend who got trapped in this mess because of her.

If only she had not escaped, things would have been different.

Bianca pursed her lips, her heart filled with remorse. Jenny was innocent and Bianca wanted nothing to happen to her, so she decided to negotiate with Lucas requesting him to spare her life.

Taking a moment, Bianca cleared her thoughts and looked at Lucas.

"You want me right?" she began. Her eyes fluttered as she tried pushing back her fears.

Jenny turned her head to the side hearing Bianca’s voice, wondering what was she trying to do.

"Then take me away, but p-please, let my friend go. She is innocent" Bianca’s words shocked Jenny and she quickly shook her head.

"Bianca, what are you saying?" Jenny asked, realizing what Bianca was trying to do.

Bianca looked at Jenny with teary eyes and smiled," Spare her life and then take me away" she said.

Jenny couldn’t believe Bianca would want to give up after coming this far.

Lucas who heard the girl silently, smirked.

"I don’t like negotiating when I have already made up my mind," Lucas said leaving both the girls speechless.

Jenny closed her eyes feeling the cold metal of the gun touch her temple. Sweat rolled down her face and pursed her lips trying to suppress her sobs.

"Please... don’t do anything to her?" Bianca begged as she broke into tears.

Deep down she wanted Gabriel to find them soon, but as time passed her hopes slowly died. They had very little time and Bianca couldn’t do anything to stop Lucas from killing Jenny.

Jenny looked at Bianca’s miserable state. She knew Bianca was blaming herself for whatever happened to her. However, Jenny didn’t think the same. She willingly decided to help her friend and if it meant she had to die while saving her, she would gladly do it.

Gabriel’s heart was in pain to see her state, however, a sense of relief washed through his face and he smiled.

Slowly making his way towards her, Gabriel dropped to his knees and untied her hands. The moment he freed her, Bianca pounced on his arms and cried her heart out.

Through Bianca, Gabriel and Gavin were quickly able to track Martin’s number and soon they reached this abandoned building.

It took them a few minutes to handle Luca’s men as he hardly brought any along with him.

However, on their way inside, they came across Martin’s deceased body which alarmed the two of the unexpected.

Fortunately, they were quick to reach the room where Bianca and Jenny were kept captivated and were able to kill Lucas before he could harm Jenny.

Gavin didn’t part from Jenny and kept hugging her. The scene from earlier was still freshly engraved in his mind. If not for their quick reflex, Lucas must’ve succeeded in shooting her.

"I think we should leave this place" Gabriel announced.

Jennifer stumbled on her feet and eyed the number of men standing before her and a feeling of fear crawled in her body.

"W-what are you doing?" she asked quickly taking a step back.

"You will know it soon?" Jack said with a dangerous gleam in his eyes and soon two men marched towards Jennifer.

"What-what are you doing?" she screamed but her mouth was shut when a big palm covered her face and soon she was dragged away.

"Argh!!!" Sandra cried in pain.

Ashley was too strong and that made Sandra regret her decision for not killing her sooner.

Standing up on her feet Sandra threw a glare at Ashley and breathed heavily. She was infuriated that Ashley appeared unwavering before her.

Ashley was alarmed by her threatening words. The deep lines on her forehead cleared and her eyes widened in shock.

"Where is my father, Sandra?" Ashley asked gnashing her teeth furiously.

"Now you seem quite obedient" Sandra refused to answer and then called her men.

"Take her to her father" she instructed and soon Ashley let herself be dragged by Sandra’s bulky men.

Once Ashley was out of her sight, Sandra then tried contacting Lucas, but to her surprise, his phone seemed unreachable.

She wanted to know whether he managed to get Bianca or not, and how far he had reached, but now she couldn’t contact him.

A deep frown marred her face and then she tried reaching one of his men.

The ring went on for some time but he didn’t answer.

"Why is no one answering my calls" Sandra snapped ending the call and followed her men.

The security over here was not as vast as her previous hideout. They had minimal access compared to their previous surveillance. It was difficult for her to work but she was determined to achieve her goals.

The door of the cell opened and Ashley was pushed inside the dark with only a faint gleam of sunlight beaming through the small square window.

"ASHLEY!" Richard’s anxious voice caught her attention and her eyes darted towards the voice.

Finding her father tied to the chair, all haggard and weak broke her heart and she immediately rushed to him.

One of the men locked the door and stood on the side leaving the two captive inside on their own. They guarded the area as instructed ignoring the two people inside the cell.

Ashley quickly untied Richard and hugged him.

"Dad, how did you get here?" she asked pulling back.

Richard appeared so weak that Ashley regretted not understanding the hints of his absence. She was so delusional over the text she received that she even ignored Tristan’s concern.

"My driver, he tricked me, and before I could even understand I found myself here, in this cell. Ashley, these are Sandra’s people and I learned that Lucas is the one helping her. That man faked his death, fooling everyone" Richard said whatever he came to find after coming here.

He was fortunate that Sandra didn’t hurt him but he was sure she would do it anytime.

Time was running fast and now Richard’s fear finally came to reality when he saw his daughter dragged into the cell by those same men who brought him here.
