Ch. 146..150: Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire Chapter 146-150

Chapter 146: I Hate Her

Facing Kylie as she stood in the doorway, Laurence suddenly realized that Kylie was no longer the girl she had once been. She had changed totally. She was calm now, cunning, clever, and strong. She had once been a pushover, and he had had complete control over her. Now though, he had absolutely no control over her daughter. Kylie learned to fight him and stand against them all.

Facing her now, he felt both fear and trepidation. He had tried to win her over to his side, but she had easily seen through his words and discerned his true intentions. “Fine,” he told her, “If you must go, then go. I can’t force you to stay,”

Once Kylie was gone, the rest of the attendees left, one after the other until the only people left were Khloe, Laurence, and his assistant. “What now?” Khloe cried. “You said this was for my benefit, but now that Kylie is dropping out, how is it to my benefit?” She was frustrated with the result of their plans.

“Enough! Your ranting and tears couldn’t help us,” Laurence yelled as he smashed his fist against the coffee table. “Khloe, you’ve always been so unreasonable, and it wears on me. If Kylie doesn’t take this job, then we will think of something else. Nothing has changed. Quit your whining and use your brain for once in your life!” Laurence can’t hold his anger at this time because he was worn out.

Khloe was struck dumb. This was the first time that her father had spoken to her like this. Finally, she brought her hands to her stomach and said, “Dad, it was Kylie’s fault that I lost Aiden’s child. It should not be any surprise that I am as upset as I am. I hate her, but now you are acting like you don’t even love me or want to help me.” She acted like a victim to get her father’s sympathy.

Hearing these words from his daughter, he frowned sadly and said, “Everything that I have done has been intentionally for your good. Do you not realize what you are doing? You are breaking your old man’s heart… I can’t bear to even look at you…”

Laurence staggered to his feet and left Khloe alone with his assistant in the conference room.

Once Laurence was gone, his assistant faced Khloe and said, “You had no right to say what you did. Your father has nothing but your best interests at heart. Furthermore, who can say what the results of the show will be, with or without Kylie? If this scheme fails, others could be thought up, but if you destroy your relationship with your father, it will not be repairable. If you don’t believe it, look no further than your sister…”

“What the hell do you know?” Khloe yelled at the assistant.

The assistant lowered her head silently. She had nothing more to say.

Khloe clenched her teeth and picked up Kylie’s profile off of the table. “We will see who will win in the end. I can’t let her have a victory nor a peace of mind,” she muttered as she dropped the pages to the floor. Suddenly the assistant’s phone rang and Khloe turned in her direction. As she answered the call, Khloe watched as her face turned white. A few words were exchanged, and then she ended the call.

Khloe looked at her curiously and asked her if everything was alright.

The assistant looked at her nervously and said, “Your car has been crushed…”

“What?!” Khloe gasped as she remembered how she’d blocked her sister in.

When Khloe arrived in the underground parking lot, the first thing that she saw was her heavily damaged car. In order to make way for her car, Kylie had had it pushed into a nearby parking space.

“Kylie Finch!” she cursed. “I’ll get you for this, you ignorant bitch!”

Seeing her yelling, a security guard walked over and said, “Kylie Finch didn’t crash your car.”

“Then who did?!” Khloe demanded.

The guard pointed at the monitor and said, “You parked your car in the middle of the road. Other cars were affected. A customer was in an emergency to get out, so he had no choice but to go through you. Really, it was your own fault.”

Khloe turned around and slapped her assistant. “Who told you to park the car on the road? How stupid you are?” she shouted. “The cost to fix it will be deducted to your salary!”

Khloe’s assistant fell to her knees and began to cry. “It wasn’t my fault,” she wailed. “You were the one who actually told me to park here. Under normal circumstances, I never would have…” The assistant turned to the guard and said, “You are my witness. You heard her ordering me to park here,”

The guard, knowing which side the bread was buttered on, feigned ignorance. “I didn’t see or hear anything. Whatever your problem with your boss, it’s up to you to fix,” he replied and quickly left them without looking back.

Faith sat in the car with Kylie and Lucas, doing her best imitation of Khloe. Listening to her, they could not help but burst into gales of laughter. Lucas, who was driving, met Kylie’s eyes in the rearview mirror and said, “I’m truly sorry for what I put you through in the old days. Please accept my apology.” A serious tone added to his voice.

“You were with Khloe then,” Kylie replied, “and you worked for her. I understand that, but now you’re with me, so bear that in mind. Since I was a teenager, I’ve always been an extra. The entertainment circle is always the same. There aren’t many people who will have your back. I am trusting in you, though, so please don’t let me down.” She answered in a serious tone.

“I won’t,” Lucas promised, “but what is next for us?”

“We are going to Hamorna,” Kylie replied, “so you will both need to go home and pack your things.” She ordered, giving him no chance to refuse.

Chapter 147: She Deserved It

When Kylie signed into Facebook, she noticed that she had received a friend request from a stranger. She was about to refuse, but then she saw a note that was attached to it. It read: “The whole universe belongs to you. You don’t need to look up to one single star.”

Kylie accepted the friend request and replied to the note with a friendly emoji. It was obviously Ethan who had sent her the request under a pseudonym. In his message, he was telling her that she did not need her friend, Stars, when she had him at her beck and call. “You are too much,” she replied.

“No,” Ethan replied, “you are because you even dare to talk to random men over the internet.”

Kylie laughed at the childishness of their exchange. She could not imagine that her husband was like this. All he could do, he willingly does it for her benefit.

A beautiful woman sat on a sofa across from Ethan. She has curly hair and wore a designer suit. Her name was Dora Hilton, and she had been watching him ever since he picked up his phone. He smiled at her awkwardly, and she smiled back, confidently. He had known her for over a decade and had yet to figure her out.

He watched her as she lit a cigarette and smoked it to the butt. Finally, he broke the silence: “What’s up?”

“Nothing,” Dora replied as she lit another cigarette. “Not really. I have already collected all of the materials you’ve asked for. Is there anything else that you need?”

Ethan smiled and said, “Tell Kylie Johnson to begin shooting Kylie Finch’s part in Tea Maiden.”

“But…” Dora hesitated for a second. “Due to the negative press she’s received, I’ve asked Director Johnson to cut her part off of the film.”

“Then have it pasted back in again,” Ethan told her. “Control V, as it were.”

She is my wife, and she deserved it. I can’t allow anybody to bully my wife! Ethan silently thought.

“Are you sure?” Dora asked hesitantly. She wants to remind him that this woman recently had a bad reputation after the press release.

“Heed my word,” Ethan replied. “At the moment Kylie has the popular vote. Within a month, she will be at the top of the world.” A proud smile drew in Ethan’s handsome face.

Dora winked, and, with a smile, she said, “You seem to know a lot about Kylie Finch…”

Ethan scowled and waved her away. “Just go and do as I’ve asked. I feel exhausted. I don’t want to explain to you,”

Dora quickly responded, “I will do it immediately.”

As soon as Dora walked out of the Century Center, she called Kylien and delivered Ethan’s order. Then, as an afterthought, she asked him if he knew anything about the relationship between Ethan and Kylie. He did not, though, and he said as much. All he knew was that it had been Ethan who had asked for Kylie to be a part of Tea Maiden.”

Hearing this, Dora frowned. She had feelings for Ethan and found herself suddenly feeling jealous of Kylie. She can’t allow another woman to snatch Ethan away from her. After all, he had never gone out of his way to do something like this for her.

Dora stepped outside, and her car pulled up. The driver appeared from the car, pulled the car door open for her, and said, “Miss Hilton, you look upset. What happened? Did Lord Ethan annoy you? Did he say something that offended you?” The driver’s voice was full of concern.

The driver protected Dora’s head with one hand when she got in and went around the car to get in the front seat. “Miss Hilton,” he continued excitedly, “you know that you can tell me anything and trust me to keep my mouth shut. I am not like all of those other blabbermouth drivers.”

“It is nothing,” Dora lied because she doesn’t want to explain to him. “I have a headache. That’s all. I need some silence. She felt like she wasted all her energy after hearing Ethan’s order earlier. She had to breathe because her chest seemed to explode with the thought that Kylie and Ethan might have a serious relationship,”

“That is one thing that I can give you,” the driver laughed. Trying to console her.

Aiden was packing for Khloe when she hugged him from behind and, when she whispered in his ear, her voice was mild and gentle. “Aiden,” she called his name gently, “you haven’t visited me in a long time. I’d thought you’d given me up.”

“Never! I came here now, so why are you still upset?” he giggled. “I have just been busy recently. And tons of tasks were given to me,” He added.

Aiden put down the stuff he’d been carrying, turned around, and embraced Khloe properly. “If I didn’t care about you at all,” he continued, “I wouldn’t be going to Hamorna with you! You should be grateful that I’ve still been with you,”

Khloe looked Aiden in the eyes and said, “If Kylie ends up doing this project, I don’t want to see you anywhere near her. It would be best if you didn’t get involved with her. Do you understand?” She heaved a deep sighed afterward.

Aiden nodded sheepishly. “I understand. I will always remember it,” he told her. “I will only look at you. I will not be going to love another woman except you. Why don’t you go lie down while I have a shower and finish packing?” He suggested persuading her. He doesn’t want to have another hateful agreement right now. He knew how Khloe been jealous of Kylie. He always heard her complaining often.

Although Khloe didn’t believe that Aiden wouldn’t take a look at Kylie at all, she was content just knowing that he belonged to her. Furthermore, she had already taken steps to keep them apart. To begin with, she had upgraded their tickets to first class, which was where she believed that she belonged.

Chapter 148: Do You Remember Us?

The next day, Lucas went with Faith and Kylie to the port to meet with the other workers from the company. There weren’t many people at the port yet, though, because they had arrived very early. Khloe, however, was one of the few people who were there. She held Aiden’s hand, and they were displaying their love for each other for Laurence’s viewing pleasure. They can’t let her father get upset.

Laurence, who was Aiden’s future father-in-law, told him to take good care of Khloe.

Khloe stared at Kylie while she kissed Aiden, which made Faith sick. Faith is the one being affected by the act Khloe had made in front of the public. She wanted to slap Khloe’s face! Laurence saw the anger in her eyes, though, and said, “Faith, go clean up the chairs. Make it quick,”

“Me?” Faith gasped, surprised – but then she realized that Laurence was punishing her because of Khloe.

“Go ahead,” Kylie sighed. “I have wet tissues in my bag. Let’s not make a mountain out of a molehill.”

Faith looked at Kylie and said, “I will clean yours and Lucas’s seats, but I am not touching Khloe or Aiden’s.”

Khloe scowled at Faith and asked her what her problem was.

“You can go clean up your chairs yourself if you think they’re dirty,” Faith replied. “And besides, you have an assistant. You could get her to do it!”

Seeing how proud Faith was, Khloe clenched her teeth in anger as she glared at Kylie. They have a respective assistant to cater to their needs, but hers was actually very useless. Not wanting to fight with Kylie, though, she kept her curses to herself. She hated Kylie’s presence because she can’t take away from her mind that Aiden might fall in love with that woman again.

It was another hour before the intercom announced that the boat was about to leave. Khloe held Aiden’s arm while walking beside Laurence. They talked and laughed, and they were at ease with each other. Just as they were about to board, though, several girls passed between them and addressed Kylie. “Do you remember us?” they wondered. “We met at the mountain in Connell, and Ethan gave us his autograph!”

Kylie nodded and smiled sweetly at them, “I remember you all,” She replied. “It is nice to meet you again.”

The girls blushed and giggled, and one of them asked if they could take a picture with her. It’s a rare opportunity to meet a beautiful celebrity like her. Kylie nodded to give her consent, took place between them, and smiled. Once the picture was taken, the girls were more excited than ever. In unison, they asked her if she could recommend some skincare products to them, pointing out that Kylie had beautiful skin! They were praising her so much that it made Khloe feel jealous. She can’t bear hearing those praises for Kylie. She thinks Kylie had grabbed her spotlight. For Khloe, she’s only a b-list actress who only has a pretty face.

Kylie laughed and said, “I seldom use skincare products, actually. My suggestion would be to eat more fruit and drink plenty of water. Good sleep, too, can help your skin remain glowing. That is what I do.”

As they talked, the girls nodded delightfully, but one of them kept glancing behind them as if she was frightened. Kylie knew who she was looking at, but didn’t want to mention it herself.

It seemed that they had more to say, but, after a few minutes, Faith interrupted and explained that Kylie had to go.

“Then we won’t bother you any longer,” the girls smiled. “We love you!”

Kylie waved good-bye to them and said, “Thank you so much!”

Khloe, who was already unhappy, was now about to lose her temper. She couldn’t believe that she hadn’t been recognized. “Dad,” Khloe whined, did you see what just happened?”

Laurence frowned. “I am not sure what you want me to say,” he said. “You can’t expect everyone to love you. You need to grow some thicker skin if you want to have a lifelong career in this industry. From the perspective of a professional worker in the entertainment industry, your career is still much more promising than Kylie’s but, unless you grow up and start acting like an adult, you will never see your full potential actualized.”

Khloe: “…”

“I do not say these things to hurt you,” Laurence continued, “but to help you. If you want to be a star, it will take a lot of hard work. People will say negative things about you and ignore you, but you will have to learn to ignore them. Here, let me give you a hug, and then we can board.”

As they boarded, Khloe and her crew were led to the first-class seats while Kylie and her crew were led to the economy seats. Before they could go to their seats, though, Faith got in Khloe’s face and demanded, “Why are we in the economy class?”

“Because the first class is full!” Khloe explained.

Aiden stepped up and said, “I can exchange seats with Kylie. After all, she’s a celebrity anyway. She shouldn’t have to sit in the economy class.”

“Don’t worry,” Khloe replied coldly, “She’s with her assistant and agent. They will take good care of her.”

“Alright,” Aiden agreed. He allowed Khloe to lead him up to first class, but he kept looking back at Kylie. He couldn’t get it out of his head that something wasn’t quite right. Laurence followed after them and, once they’d taken their seats, he looked at his daughter and said, “This doesn’t make sense. All of the seats I purchased were in economy class!”

“You must not have,” Khloe replied, “otherwise we wouldn’t be sitting here.”

Laurence didn’t reply, but he knew that Khloe must have upgraded the tickets and intentionally not upgraded Kylie’s like an insult to her. Of course, he too wanted to see Kylie brought down a notch, but this was meaner than anything he would’ve planned, and it made him sick to the stomach.

Chapter 149: As Your Secret Lover

Kylie had expected the economy class to be crowded, smelly, and dirty, but, much to her surprise and delight, it was none of these things. Their seats were clean, the air smelled fresh, and there was more than enough room to stretch out. Furthermore, there were not a lot of people on board; in fact, it was just them, which gave them a measure of privacy as the boat’s whistle sounded, and it slowly left the dock. Kylie felt relieved after seeing the surroundings.

An attendant came, and, recognizing her, she became very excited. “Miss Finch,” she gushed, “it is so nice to meet you. Anything you want or need is in the house. As soon as we learned that you would be on board, we took extra steps to ensure your comfort. We wanted to give a good impression. In fact, your accommodations are even better than those in the first class. Could I get you a coffee, tea, or perhaps something a little stronger?”

Kylie smiled and requested a bottle of wine and enough glasses for everyone who she had brought with her. After giving her order, the attendant left for a while.

Lucas sat there, stunned as the attendant returned with the wine. He had spent so much time worrying about the negative implications of the press junket that Kylie had sabotaged, that he hadn’t taken the time to listen to what the public – the fans – were saying. Obviously, he realized he was out of the loop because, in all his years in the entertainment industry, he had never seen an artist given such preferential treatment! This is the first time he saw that someone had given them extra care because of Kylie’s presence.

As Kylie sipped from her wine glass, her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and was excited to see that it was Ethan.

Answering it, she said, “Hello,” and then she asked him if he was secretly hiding somewhere on the boat. “If so,” she continued, “you should join us in economy class. Everything has been prepared beautifully, and there are a ton of empty seats! I love to see you here, honey,” A seductive voice added in her last words. The endearment she mentioned made Ethan craving for his wife quickly.

Ethan groaned and said, “I’m afraid that, as your secret lover, my appearance would cause you trouble. All I want is to have you alone at home when you return, little wife,”

“That’s true,” Kylie frowned. “I met several fans today. There is no knowing when someone with a camera might pop up. One photo in the hands of the wrong person could cause us both serious damage.”

Lucas still wasn’t able to wrap his head around the provisions that had been made for Kylie. It just seemed like too much. He looked at Faith and asked her, “Am I in a dream?”

“Kylie hasn’t told you yet, huh?” Faith chuckled. “The big boss of Century Group, the most admiring Lord Ethan, is Kylie’s husband. They had an instant marriage.”

Lucas’s jaw nearly hit the floor. “I am shocked…”

Faith nodded. “When I found out, I was even more shocked than you are!”

“When did they get married?” Lucas asked.

“On the day that Khloe and Aiden were engaged,” Faith replied. “Khloe believed, and still does believe, that she snatched Kylie’s boyfriend away from her, but Kylie was never even interested in Aiden. It just goes to show what a stupid cunt Kylie actually is. I heard a rumor that she fucks her cousins on the side; I half believe it, to tell you the truth. In the end, that girl will find herself broke and alone, likely in some mental institution!”

“That is an amazing story,” Lucas replied, “and I believe it completely. I can’t wait to congratulate Kylie.”

Faith hit Lucas’s chest with her fist and said, “Kylie hasn’t told you in person yet. She doesn’t want to hide it from you, but let her tell you herself before you congratulate her; otherwise, you will get me in trouble.”

Lucas took a deep breath and took a deep sip from his wine glass. He could hear Kylie gabbing in first class, and he looked in the direction that the sound had come from. He rubbed his jaw, and a meaningful smile appeared on his face.

Faith knew what he was thinking and said, “They are idiots if they think that they can take advantage of Kylie.”

“It is true,” Lucas replied. “I can’t believe that I was once one of them. I am very grateful that, even after everything that happened, Kylie was willing to give me a chance. I am excited to see what happens next. Kylie was a formidable enough adversary on her own. Now, with Ethan on her side, she will be unstoppable!”

When Faith took her seat in front of Kylie, she found a USB flash drive on the table in front of her. She turned around to face Kylie and asked her what it was.

“Lord Ethan has prepared all the videos of the first season of Trailblazers for us to learn from,” Kylie explained.

“Sounds good,” Faith exclaimed.

Faith set it up and found that not only did the flash drive contain the episodes, but it also contained top-secret materials such as outtakes, interviews, deleted scenes, and bloopers – Faith was amazed. She had no idea where Ethan had gotten the material, and she was impressed by the fact that he had the balls to share it.

As she watched the videos, she took notes and began to think about how she could help Kylie incorporate what she saw into their current project. Although it was a reality show, it was never as simple as winning or losing the game. Different scenes would be used to present different qualities of a person. In the end, if the winner looked like an asshole, then they would, according to the court of public appeal, still be losers, and versa.

In the seat next to Faith’s, Lucas was trying to figure out Kylie’s social network.

Chapter 150: I Can Work

After going to the restroom, Aiden decided to peek his head into the economy class. Looking through the curtains, he was stunned. The economy class was more luxurious than in the first class! He was about to take a step into the economy class when an attendant stopped him. “I’m sorry,” she said. “VIP only. Please do not disturb them. You are not welcome here. No one is allowed to come here, aside from those who were with Miss Kylie,”

“VIP?” Aiden muttered. “Isn’t this economy class? How come it turns to VIP class?”

The attendant smiled, but all she said was, “Please return to your seat, sir.”

Aiden looked at the attendant and pulled out his wallet and asked her how much it would cost to get into the economy class area, but the attendant calmly explained that, though there were empty seats, they had all been purchased. “No amount of money can change that. This had been all settled for Miss Kylie,” she continued, “so please return to your seat. We are about to hit some waves. You are going to want to have your seatbelt on.” The attendant warned him again.

Aiden sullenly returns to his seat. He doesn’t expect that the attendant would treat him that way. It wasn’t right in his thought, but he just obeyed what she said not to attract others attention.

As the waves hit the side of the boat, Khloe’s sea sickness got worse and worse. It was so bad, in fact, that the people around her were embarrassed. “You have never been sick in a car,” Aiden scolded her, “so why are you sick now?!?!”

Before she could answer, she felt another round of vomit rise up in her throat, and she ran in the direction of the restroom. Unfortunately, it was occupied, so she rushed into economy class in search of a washroom. Ignoring everyone around her, she pulled open the door and plunged her head into the toilet. She releases all the vomit, and she almost faints.

When Khloe got out, an attendant approached her and asked her if she was seasick and offered her some anti-nausea medicine. Gratefully, she took the bottle that was being offered to her and shook out two pills. Once she had swallowed them, she looked at the attendant and thanked her. She felt a little relieved after taking medicine.

“You’re welcome,” she replied, “but this gentleman is the one that you need to thank actually.” The attendant pointed at Aiden. “He was the one who found the medicine in the garbage.”

Khloe was stunned. She glanced back and forth between the medicine bottle and Aiden, with disgust. Taking medicine from the garbage was not something that she typically did. She was about to scold Aiden, but then she saw Kylie. She quickly shifted her angry emotion into a pleasant smile that showed on her face. She can’t react too much in front of Kylie to show what happens between her and Aiden.

Playing it cool, she pretended nothing had happened and took Aiden’s hand to lead him back to first class. Aiden didn’t say any words, too; instead, he led Khloe into her seat.

As they took their seat, Laurence asked her how she was feeling. Khloe was still a little green, but she showed her father the medicine bottle and said, “The attendant gave me this. Now I feel much better. I just need to take it easy, I think.”

Aiden looked at the bottle nervously. Even though he was with Khloe, he always had secretly wanted to be with Kylie. He loved her, and he didn’t love Khloe. That was why he’d offered Kylie his seat in first class, and that had been why he’d brought the medicine. It had been his originally, but he was desperate to make sure that no one found out.

Aiden had brought the medicine in case Kylie got sick and, when the waves came, he’d found a way to get them to her without anyone seeing it. Obviously, she had taken a few; the seal was broken. Once she had taken what she needed, though, she’d thrown the rest away, not realizing how complicated it would make things later.

Aiden had become nervous the instant he realized what he’d done by giving the attendant the medicine. Being afraid that Khloe would ask a bunch of questions, he said, “I am pretty tired.” He sat back in his chair and quickly closed his eyes.

Seeing how pale Khloe’s face was, Laurence was worried. He handed her a cup of warm water and said, “Khloe, have some water, and then take a rest.”

“Dad,” Khloe replied, “I am fine. I can work. I need to face some of the negative things that people are saying about me on social media.”

Khloe was just opening her computer when the anti-nausea medication kicked in, and she suddenly felt very tired. She leaned on Aidens’s arms and closed her eyes. She was just about asleep when her eyes popped open. She suddenly realized that she hadn’t taken her Morning After Pill after her cousin, Ken, had raped her.

I hope that this is seasickness, Khloe thought to herself, and not a pregnancy…

Khloe felt her heart rate begin to increase. Aiden sensed that something was wrong with Khloe. He opened his eyes and looked at her. “Khloe,” he wondered, “are you alright?”

Khloe frowned. “It was a bad dream,” she lied, “and nothing more. I dreamt that you dumped me and went to be with Kylie.”

“Khloe, there’s no need to worry,” Laurence laughed, “Aiden has promised to marry you, so he will. And you need to recover as soon as possible so that you can get pregnant as soon as possible.”

What Laurence said made Khloe even more frightened than before. She was so scared that her body was shaking, and she clung to Aiden.

Aiden believed that she was afraid that he would dump her, so he comforted her by patting her on the back and saying nice things to her.
