Ch. 161..165: Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire Chapter 161-165

Chapter 161: You Are Very Thoughtful and Gentle

“What about your marriage to Khloe,” Kylie asked him. “I am not the type of woman who shares her man with another woman.” She said immediately.

“If you allowed me to help you,” Aiden replied quickly, “I would leave Khloe in a heartbeat. Will you consider my offer? It sounds to me like you will… I will break the news to Khloe immediately. I will comfort her, then I will leave her, and then I will call you back!”

Even though Kylie had not said yes, Aiden assumed that it had been implied, and he was preparing himself to go off half-cocked.

Kylie hung up the phone and snorted with disdain, wishing that she could be there to see Khloe’s face when Aiden delivered his news. She wanted to see how her wicked little step-sister handled the situation when Aiden informed her of the vicious plan he had. Returning to her friends, she said, “It is settled – I will cook for you, and perhaps even teach Faith a little bit of what I know.”

Suddenly Ethan appeared in the living room where they settled. He is still wearing his business suit and gradually approaching Kylie.

“I will be the one to cook for tonight, instead of Kylie,”

He gave Kylie a loving look and smiled gently, tapping her shoulder and said, “Would you like to follow me in the kitchen?”

Kylie nodded and followed him immediately. After an hour, the dining table was set for dinner, and several dishes were on it.

Lucas choked on his own saliva, and he began to cough when he heard Kylie’s offer to not just cook for them but to teach Faith to cook. It sounded insane, but they were now eating food that had been prepared by Ethan… So… Well… anything was possible.

“This is very good,” Faith admitted as she brought her fork to her mouth. “It tastes very homey. I didn’t know that Ethan was such a good cook!”

At the mention of Ethan, Kylie’s eyes sparkled, and her cheeks turned red. It was a good look for her. She looked beautiful. “Please, let me have a taste…” Kylie said, “At the very least, after everything, I think you owe me a taste…”

Nobody had expected that Ethan Parker, a cool handsome expressionless president, could be as perfect as he appeared to be. He was good at making money and good at cooking, and he was a good president to boot. Lucas quickly admired him in silence.

“It won’t be a problem for him to cook most of the time,” Kylie laughed, “but we can’t count on him to cook for us every night, and that is where I come in to tantalize your taste buds.”

Hearing this, Lucas and Faith went to their knees. “Kylie, our queen,” they begged her. “We’ve worked hard for you. How can you watch us suffer from advanced stomach cancer…”

Before Lucas finished the sentence, his whole body froze. Kylie gave Lucas a sharp look and turned her head around slowly.

Sometimes, while they’d been joking around, Ethan had quietly snuck into the room. His face was angular, and he looked more attractive than ever. His thin lips were pressed into a thin line, and he looked unhappy. Kylie opened her mouth to greet him but, before she could say a single word, a pair of big knotted palms pressed against her shoulder.

“I came to cook for you in person,” Ethan said, “to celebrate your first victory. But if I see Kylie cooking, both of you must be punished. That is my job and, if it seems that I am unavailable, it will be up to me to bring in a caterer.”

Oh, my god! Kylie thought to herself. Is Lord Ethan trying to protect me, or is he jealous?

The people at the table were a little surprised when they saw Ethan rubbing Kylie’s shoulders. They were not used to such indecent displays of public affection. Although they didn’t say anything out loud, they caught each other’s eyes and could read each other’s minds, “What’s this?” they asked each other. “Is there more going on then we’d realized?”

Once Ethan had had his say, he turned back in the direction of the kitchen, and Kylie followed him. Once they were out of sight, Ethan took Kylie into his arms and held her tight. Kylie looked him in the eyes and asked if he was able to do two things at once.

“Are you asking if I can cook and make love to you at the same time?” Ethan queried. “If you are, then you should know that I can!”

She giggled. “How?!” She was amused, looking at her husband, who appeared perfect in her eyes. She can’t resist his charm, and she’s madly in love with this man.

“I was just kidding,” Ethan laughed. “Obviously, I can’t make love to you while I’m cooking! I probably couldn’t focus on cooking while making love with you,”

“While I have your attention,” Kylie said, changing the topic of the conversation, “I have the agreement from Laurence. I’ll read it to you, and then you can check it out.”

“Sounds good,” Ethan replied. Pointing to the counter, he said, “Put it down there, and I’ll read it for myself. Why don’t you go back to the dining room? There is a lot of soot in here, and your skin will get worse if you stay too long.”

Kylie chuckled and asked Ethan, “What should I do with you?” She held his arm and pretended to be a spoiled girl. “You are so very thoughtful and gentle. I am so lucky to have a man like you to take care of me.”

Ethan smirked and, in a playful tone of voice, said, “Get out! You are such a rascal!”

Kylie giggled as she dashed out of the kitchen and into the dining room. The way that he looked when he was pretending to be mad amused her. She thought that, in his own way, he was pretty cute.

Chapter 162: She Needed To Take Her Revenge

Lucas looked up from the table when Kylie walked into the dining room and said, “I was just on Facebook. There are a lot of people talking about you and Ethan. It seems that everyone knows that the two of you are together, or at least that the two of you are up to something. Furthermore, people are just now beginning to get into yours and Khloe’s work. If you aren’t careful, this is going to bite everyone involved in the ass.”

Lucas gave her a concerned look as he observed her reaction on what he spilled. For a few moments, Kylie didn’t say anything at first and seemed to think the right answer would speak to him.

Faith was trimming her fingernails into a wastebasket but, once Lucas had his say, she felt she needed to have hers. “The entertainment industry is changing so fast,” she said, “and there are so many new artists breaking out every day. Fame comes, and it goes. Our audience is finicky. You may be on top of the world today, but before you know it, you could be so much fuel for fodder. Furthermore, from the industries’ perspective, as long as they are making money, they couldn’t care less who is making it for them – they couldn’t give a shit who is making it for them. Certainly, Laurence doesn’t care if you succeed or not,” she pauses for a while and stares at Kylie.

“He is a very cunning man,” Faith continued, “but Kylie should get the last word. Sooner or later, she will have fifty-one percent of the shares, and then she will be in charge. Of course, Laurence thinks that Khloe will eventually take over, but he is too blinded by his love for her to see how dumb she is – and, on the other end of the spectrum, he is too blinded by his hatred towards Kylie to see how smart she is.” She sighed after blurting her opinion.

“The man is a dolt,” Lucas added, speaking of his old employer, “Khloe can’t compete with Kylie. Kylie is better looking than Khloe is. Kylie has a kinder heart. Her skin is soft and flawless. Khloe’s face looks cold and stiff. There is no visual appeal to her, and she isn’t even a good actress. I can’t accept the fast why she became an actress, first and foremost,”

Upon hearing Lucas’s opinion, Kylie suddenly said, “I think she had plastic surgery, and that is why her skin is so tight. She has been asked before if she did and she said she didn’t, but I think she’s lying. Obviously, nobody at her age wants to admit that they’ve had plastic surgery. Will an actress in today’s generation tell the public that they’ve undergone plastic surgery?”

“I agree with you. Living under your shadow,” Faith said, “Khloe must feel a lot of pressure to be more than she actually is. She even exerts a lot of effort to grab Aiden from you,” A loud wave of laughter came out from Faith’s mouth.

They were still chatting about Khloe when Ethan came out of the kitchen with a second round of food. The big muscular man looked silly with his pink cartoon apron on, and everyone, including Ethan, had a good chuckle.

Kylie took the dishes from his hands and put them on the table, and then she walked back to him and put her arms around his waist. She looked up at him and said, “You must have heard what we were talking about…”

Ethan nodded, but he didn’t say any words.

Kylie quickly lifted her arms and snaked it to Ethan’s neck, “Then, are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

Ethan ruffled her hair, smiled, and said, “I think you thought that we need to fight fire with fire. After all, we both aim for revenge, isn’t it?”

Kylie smiled at her husband, “It is almost as if you can read my thoughts. You deserve some reward from me,” A seductive look came across her eyes. It melted Ethan’s heart while looking at his little wife. He can’t easily flirt nor kiss her in front of their visitors.

When Kylie had first auditioned for the Tea Maiden, Khloe had given her too much praise. By doing this, she had set Kylie up to fail. In front of everyone, she had spoken highly of Kylie and publicly expressed high expectations for her. Then, when Kylie failed to live up to the hype, it was Khloe who was given the part of the leading lady, and Kylie was cast as a supporting actress.

Because the press had expected that Kylie would be cast in the leading lady’s role, when they heard that she hadn’t been, they suspected that it was because of some character flaw. Thinking about this, Kylie had set her mind to the task of figuring out a way to play the exact same trick on Khloe.

Kylie knew all her wicked ways to make her appear evil in the public eye, and her step-sister would look a victim. She couldn’t let her ruin all her plans. She was much better and smarter than Khloe. The only one who helped her was her beloved father, who did nothing but condemns her as a stubborn daughter. If only Laurence knew how much she was hurting, he might have realized the wrong things he had done to his own family. Kylie can’t forget her mother’s agony, and she can’t let go of her own father. She needed to take her revenge.

“What do you suggest we do?” Ethan wondered.

“Let’s remain silent for now,” Kylie replied. “The more positive attention Khloe gets, the worse off it will be for her in the end. It is like my mother used to say: ‘The bigger they are, the harder they fall.’

“Exactly,” Ethan said excitedly. “The Bible says something similar: Pride comes before a fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction.”

Listening to Ethan preach, Lucas looked to him and then back to Kylie. “This,” he laughed, “sounds like a lot of fun!”

Chapter 163: A Perfect Match

Although Kylie did not rely on Ethan’s to do her thinking for her, she took his advice seriously. He was smart. He had excellent ideas and, given the way that he looked at the world, she suspected that he was the only person in the world who would ever truly understand her. She thinks that this man is the only person who truly loves and accepts her flaws. Since she lost her mother and grandfather, she supported herself alone because the man she hoped to protect was the first one who rejected her. It was her beloved father, Laurence. She remembered what her own father had done to her. Laurence drove him out of their home even though his grandfather owned it.

In Kylie’s opinion, she and Ethan were a perfect match. In private, most people who saw them together; that is, their family and friends, came to the same conclusion. For one, Lucas couldn’t help but wonder if there was anything these two, together, could not pull off, and he was itching to see what kind of revenge they would enact on Laurence and Khloe. Lucas is aware of Ethan’s ability to take all revenge quickly because of his money and power in the eyes of the public. Presumably, Kylie is lucky to be the one Ethan chose to marry. These thoughts lingered at Lucas’s mind while staring at the couple.

Once the food was laid out on the table, Kylie followed Ethan into the kitchen. Seeing as he was still busy, she hugged him from behind. Knowing it was her, Ethan ignored her and continued to work. He still had dessert to finish. When Kylie’s hands found his naughty bits, though, he found that he couldn’t ignore her any longer.

Kylie slipped her hand into the front of his jeans and underwear. As she took hold of his hard member, she gave it a gentle squeeze and whispered into his ear: “Ethan… are you hungry? I can give you some food,” Her voice was seductive.

Ethan touched her arm and gasped as she began to stroke his engorged manhood. “I am hungry,” he replied, “but this is… not… the time… or place… later… Honey, you are torturing your husband while your visitor is near us,”

At this, Kylie pulled her hand out of his pants and wrapped her arms around him as she had done previously. “Alright,” Kylie replied, “but I will hold you to that. I expect to get some attention from your serpent tonight. No ifs, and, or buts about it. Do you hear me?”

Smiling, Ethan nodded. “My pleasure to please you on the bed,” He winked at her.

Kylie couldn’t stop teasing her husband. She grabbed Ethan’s neck and quickly wrapped her arms around it. She pulled him closer and claimed his mouth.

After a few minutes, they almost both panted when their lips parted, “Now, how long will it be until dessert is ready?” She asked while looking at him lovingly.

“It is almost done,” Ethan replied while suppressing his strong desire. “Why don’t you go and clear the table?”

Kylie nodded and went back into the dining room to collect the dishes and the remaining food from the middle of the table. She returned with a wet rag, cleaned the table, and went back to the kitchen and asked Ethan if the dessert was ready yet.

“Pretty much,” he replied as he pointed to the counter where he’d placed a tray filled with individually sized crème brulee. “I just took these out of the oven. I’m going to give them a minute to cool down, and then I’ll sprinkle them with sugar and caramelize honey at the top with a blow torch. Once that is done, I will serve them with a dollop of fresh whipped cream.” He explained a little.

“What is a crème brulee,” Kylie wondered, “and how did you learn how to make it?” She was amused by her husband’s way of explaining to her.

“It is a kind of custard,” Ethan replied. “My grandmother taught me how to make it before she passed away. When you first try to make it, it can be quite difficult. Once you get used to it, though, it is very simple. I will bring them to the table and show everyone how it is finished. Most people aren’t used to seeing a blowtorch being used for cooking their food, and they find the whole process quite interesting.”

Indeed, as Ethan ran the blowtorch over the dishes, no one could keep their eyes off of it. They were all surprised that this man, who was well known for his ruthlessness and mysterious demeanor, would be so good in the kitchen. They had all eaten at five-star restaurants before and were surprised that Ethan’s food surpassed anything they’d ever eaten.

“This is amazing,” Lucas said, “It is no wonder that Kylie loves you so much. Thank you for the delicious dinner, and I can’t wait to dig into the desert.”

Once the brulee was properly caramelized, Ethan added a dollop of whipped cream and placed a dish in front of each of them. Faith was the first to attempt to dig into hers, but she found that her spoon wouldn’t go through the sugar. “What is this?” she asked. “Am I doing something wrong?”

“No,” Ethan laughed. “You just don’t know how to eat it. The caramelized sugar and honey creates a barrier on top of the custard. You just need to hit it a little harder, and it will crack.” He explained.

Faith followed his instructions and was pleased when the brulee did exactly as Ethan had said it would. Then, without hesitation, she brought a spoonful to her mouth. Once she’d swallowed her first spoonful, she turned to Ethan and thanked him. Ethan smiled, bowed, and said, “I am glad you enjoyed it. If there is one thing that a chef loves more than anything, it is seeing people who are happy while eating something that they’d prepared especially for them.”

Chapter 164: What A Fucking Psycho

After lunch, Faith suggested that they do a little sightseeing in and around Hamorna. Of course, as the filming of Trailblazers progressed, they would see all of the major tourist attractions, but they all agreed that it would be in their best interests to familiarize themselves in advance. Seeing as the whole thing was intended to be casual, Kylie had chosen comfort over professionalism by wearing her favorite jean shorts and a white shirt. She is prepared to wear a comfortable outfit rather than an eyesore.

The first place that they’d agree to take a look at was the Hamorna statue in the center of town. It was where the first scene would be shot, and, when they arrived, they were not surprised to see that the film crew was already set up. One thing that did surprise them, though, was the size of the crowd that had gathered to check out what was going on.

At first, Faith was worried that Kylie would be bombarded by fans, but then Kylie reminded her that she wasn’t actually very famous. Stepping out of the car, they headed into the crowd, and it wasn’t long before they became separated. No one was worried, though, because they’d agreed on a meeting place in advance, in case something like this occurred. They had decided to meet at a local train station.

As Kylie approached the statue, someone patted her on the shoulder and asked her if she was a famous actress, Kyle. Kylie turned her head and took a long look at the man in front of her. He was thin, young, his hair was scruffy, and his small rat eyes reminded her of a rat’s eyes.

“Sorry,” Kylie replied, “but you’ve mistaken me for someone else. My name is Kylie Finch.”

“That is crazy,” he replied. “You look exactly like Kyle, and your names are so alike. You must hear that all of the time!”

“You are the first,” Kylie said. “I’m sorry, but I can’t stay to chat. I have somewhere to be.”

Kylie gasped in surprise as the stranger took her arm. He pulled her close and hissed into her ear: “You are not going to fool me. You are here to film Trailblazers. I understand your desire for anonymity, but I have something to tell you. If you hear me out, I will leave you alone.” The man said quickly.

Kylie had a bad feeling about this guy. When he spoke, he smiled in a way that made her skin crawl, and when he looked her up and down, she felt like he was undressing her with his eyes. Riddled with fear, her body began to tremble. “I won’t go anywhere with you,” she said. “If there is something that you need to say, say it here. There isn’t anyone listening!”

The man chuckled suddenly, manically as if he’d just heard a most disturbing, but hilarious, joke; a dead baby joke, perhaps. The sound of his laughter made Kylie’s blood run cold. “You are so stupid,” he said. “After being with so many men, one would think that you would have learned something about them by now. Your reputation isn’t good at all,”

Kylie glared at him and asked him what he was talking about.

“I am talking about your relationship with Ethan,” the man replied. “It should have been obvious, but I forgot what a stupid cunt you are.”

“My relationships are nobody’s business but my own,” Kylie countered.

“Ethan is not as simple as he presents himself to be,” the stranger replied. “If it weren’t for his presence in your life, I would agree with you, and keep my nose out of your business.” He sounded ridiculous while Kylie was listening to his ranting. She can’t figure out what this man was up to.

“I know all about his past,” Kylie scoffed. “He tells me everything, and I love him more for the simple reason that he feels safe enough around me to open his closet for me. I have seen the skeletons, and they are not as scary as he thinks. So if you come across to disturb me by telling the worst side of Ethan, save it because I will not be going to buy it,”

“I would not be surprised,” she continued, “if your skeletons are much worse than his. So, please get out of my way, I have a lot of things to do,” She hissed.

“I don’t believe that he told you the whole story,” the stranger said. “If he had, I doubt you would still be with him. All I want to do is find a quiet spot to sit, maybe over coffee, so that I can tell you the whole story. It is clear to me from your demeanor, though, that you are not prepared to listen to anything I have to say, so I will let you go. I will give you my business card, though. If you ever decide that you want to hear the truth, call me. I am more than willing to tell you the truth that Ethan hadn’t revealed to you. I assume you are an intelligent woman, so don’t be fooled by him or else you will regret it,” His words struck Kylie immediately. Still, she didn’t show any sign of evidence that made this man feel satisfied with whatever purpose he had upon approaching her.

Having said that, he let her go and disappeared into the crowd. Kylie looked at her arm where he’d been holding her. It would bruise, and badly.

“What a fucking Psycho,” Kylie mumbled. She looked at the business card he’d given her and read the name out loud: “Tom Thomas.”

“Why is there a human being who felt envy with others? She heaved a deep sighed before starting to walk towards the direction she wanted to go.

Without giving it a second thought, she tossed it into a nearby trash bin. She doesn’t have time thinking about a stranger who bombarded her telling something against her husband. She always believes Ethan’s words.

Chapter 165: She Craves To Know The Truth

Once she was back in her hotel room, Kylie tried to put the confrontation with the stranger out of her mind. For a while, she’d been sure that she’d done just that and put it behind her. Then, when she saw Ethan, she began to have doubts. Is it possible, she thought to herself, that Ethan is keeping something from me? Did he really lie to me?

No, her mind replied. Let it go. He has always been there to comfort me when I am down. He has always given me the benefit of the doubt, so don’t I owe it to him to do the same for him? Why would I trust the words of a creepy stranger over what I know to be true? My husband will not be going to hurt me,”

“I suspect him now, her mind replied, because, if it weren’t true, what motive would the stranger have, to go out of his way to tell me that I should suspect Ethan. Either way, if I believe the stranger or not, what would he have to gain by warning me?

“Nothing…” Kylie muttered under her breath. Several weird thoughts bother her mind. She even lost interest in checking her social media account.

As she was thinking about this, Ethan came out from the kitchen with two bowls of Thai soup. “Your favorite,” he said as he placed it in front of her. The aromatic smell quickly lingered her nose.

“Thank you,” Kylie said as she leaned into him so that she could kiss him on the mouth. Ethan set his dish beside her and sat down to eat. As they ate, Kylie scolded herself for even entertaining the thought that there might be some evil side of him that he was keeping from her.

“You look tired,” Ethan said between bites. “When you’re done eating, why don’t you take a bath and then go down for a nap? You badly needed a nap, wife. You don’t look good,” He added.

Hearing this, Kylie began to wonder if he was genuinely concerned for her well being, or if he was aiming to have sex with her. From what he’d said so far, she had no way of knowing. She hoped, though, that he didn’t try anything cheeky. She was still on her period, she had bad cramps, and she just wasn’t in the mood.

Kylie wracked her brain to figure out how to get out of having sex if that was what he was after.

Of course, he wants sex, her brain said, in her mother’s voice this time. He is a man, isn’t he? All men think about is sex. All-day, it is the one thing they are after. Then they go to bed, the dream of sex, and then they wake up with a hard-on. This makes them feel happy and content.

I could play hard to get, another voice in her brain suggested, but he might think that you are just teasing him…But what if he doesn’t really love me and he just only wants to bed me?

In the end, it seemed that Kylie had been overthinking the whole thing, and she scolded herself for not giving Ethan the credit he deserved. As she left the table to run a bath, he said, “I am going to go for a jog,” and off he went.

As soon as the bathtub was full of her satisfaction, she undressed, climbed in, and opened her phone to check out what was happening in her social media account. She quickly scrolls her Facebook feeds. After about five minutes of random checking, her phone buzzed, and a bubble appeared on her screen to indicate that she’d received a text message. She opened the messenger application and found herself looking at a relatively old photograph.

In the picture, there were several people standing outside a theater. Among them, there was one particular person that Kylie found her eyes being drawn to. When she looked closer, she could see that she was the girl in the picture. Ethan was there as well, except it wasn’t Kylie by his side, it was some other girl.

Seeing the picture, her mind began to nag at her in a way that it never had before. Ethan had told Kylie that she was the only person he had ever loved. If that were true, she wanted to know about this girl who was so obvious with him. Above all, she wanted to trust him, but she learned that an unpleasant truth is better than a pleasant lie. Jealousy suddenly took over her mind. She craves to know the truth.

Looking at the muddled expressions in the photograph, she could almost imagine Tom Thomas’s triumphant laughter. The message had come through as Unknown Name/Unknown Number, but she was fairly certain that the picture had come from him.

Not wanting him to think he had gotten the better of her, she typed out a quick response: “Your talent with Photoshop is pretty good, but your work does not stand up to extreme scrutiny.”

Having said that, she turned her phone off and set it on the toilet.

By the time Ethan returned from his run, Kylie had gotten out of the tub, dressed, and was relaxing on the couch. He took one look at her and asked her what she was reading.

“It’s called Lord of the Flies. It’s written by William Golding. If you haven’t read it already, you should. This is my third time reading it; that is how much I like it.”

“What’s it about? I haven’t heard a book like that,” Ethan asked.

“It’s about a bunch of boys who get trapped on an island,” she replied as she held her place with a bookmark and set the book on the coffee table in front of her. “How was your run?” she asked.

“It was good,” Ethan replied. “While I was out, I picked up a few documents. I’ve already looked through them, but it is important that you also read through them carefully.” He said afterward.
