Ch. 206..210: Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire Chapter 206-210
Chapter 206: Hold On
As soon as Khloe entered the hall, she began to look for a seat. She could see that the back rows were reserved for nobodies, assistants, agents, and the media. The front rows were reserved for actors, directors, nominees, and producers. The more famous you were, the closer you got to the front. Seeing how things were, Khloe quickly took a seat near the front.
When Jane arrived, she saw where Khloe was sitting, and she rushed over her. “Khloe,” she gasped, “President Laurence has said that your seat is in the very back.”
Khloe pushed Jane away from her and said, “Bullshit! I’m here to receive an award. I am not a nobody.”
“It’s not bullshit,” Jane replied. “Your father just called me and told me to remind you that he’d instructed you to stay low-key.”
“Are you nuts,” Khloe hissed. “This is my time to shine!”
Jane pointed and the label on her chair and said, “You are not going to shine tonight. When Tom Hanks comes and sees you in his seat, you will be an embarrassment!”
“Whatever,” Khloe laughed as she pulled Tom Hank’s name off of the chair and threw it on the floor. “You are dismissed.”
As Jane walked away, she crossed paths with two ushers. They looked like they were headed for Khloe. She thought about making one last-ditch effort to help Khloe, but she knew that it was pointless, so she carried on.
Khloe looked up when the ushers arrived. The first usher said, “Khloe, there must be a misunderstanding, because there are no seats for, especially not in the front. The seats up here are for famous people and nominees. Tom Hanks and his family are sitting here. I spoke to my manager, though. He does not want there to be a scene, so he said that you could stand at the back behind the nobodies. That is the best he can do. This is the Oscars, and every seat is spoken for.”
“This doesn’t make sense,” Khloe said as she stood up, “I am nominated for at least two awards. My dad told me I was…”
Khloe suddenly realized how ridiculous she must sound to these ushers. She turned to face them, but before she could say anything, she noticed that the chair behind Tom Hanks had been delegated to Kylie.
Tears welled up in her eyes suddenly. She turned to the ushers and said, “There has been some misunderstanding. Please, help me to get out of here before I am noticed. I am already embarrassed enough.
Once I am in the foyer, I will call my father and try to figure this out. One of the ushers nodded his head and said, “Of course, Ms. Finch. We will help you.”
The ushers help Khloe escape through a secret door that was behind the drapes. There was a hand scanner. The usher put his hand on it, and the door slid open.
Once she was back in the foyer, Jane ran over to her. “What next?” she wondered.
“Hold on,” Khloe replied as she pulled out her phone. She was just about to dial her father’s number when she saw Kylie, and an idea came into her head. She called Kylie over and said, “Dad just called me. He told me to ask you to call him. He said it was an emergency.”
Hearing this, Kylie looked concerned. “What is it about?” she wondered.
“He didn’t tell me,” Khloe replied, “but it sounded important…”
“Alright,” Kylie replied as she pulled out her phone.
Khloe touched her arm and said, “Not here. Find somewhere private.”
“Good thinking,” Kylie replied as she walked away.
As soon as Kylie was gone, Khloe rushed into the hall and sat in Kylie’s seat. By then, the lights had gone down, and the ceremony had begun. As she took her seat, she accidentally kicked the back of the seat in front of her, and Tom Hanks turned around to see who’d hit him. When he saw who it was, he looked surprised. Khloe waved shyly and whispered, “Hello.”
Without saying a word, Tom turned back to the stage, and Khloe silently cursed her clumsiness.
The first three awards were for the Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Original Score. Seeing these people walking off the stage with their trophies, Khloe was super jealous. She wasn’t a writer, director, or musician, so she hadn’t expected to win any of these awards anyway.
The next award though, was for Best Supporting Actress, and she sat up quickly as the announcement was made. William called out three names, and the spotlight hit the women, one by one, as they had for the three previous awards. When the last name was called, the light fell on her, and she was overjoyed.
Everyone was clapping, so she stood up.
Khloe was surprised, and her heart beat fast all of a sudden. She looked around, feeling amazed. She noticed the astonished looks of the people around her and paid them no mind. She was dizzy, and she couldn’t even remember what project the award was for. It didn’t matter to her, though. All that mattered was that she’d finally been recognized.
Suddenly, Khloe realized that they weren’t clapping. They were laughing. On the stage, William was cracking jokes at her expense. “What happens to our beautiful swan?” he laughed. “Has she suddenly turned back into an ugly duckling?”
Someone shouted, “This is Khloe Finch. She must have stolen her sister’s seat. The nomination is for Kylie Finch. Khloe is a fraud, but did she really think she could trick us?”
From the seat directly in front of hers, she could hear what Tom Hanks was whispering to his wife: “What a cunt.”
Rita Wilson nodded and said, “The girl obviously has no shame.”
Khloe felt incredibly embarrassed. Silently she prayed that God would strike her dead. He didn’t, though, and every second seemed to stretch out into minutes; into hours; into days – and yet she was still standing. Like a deer trapped in the headlights, she could not move.
The light began to wash over the crowd, and a picture of Kylie appeared on the screen up front. William picked up the microphone again and said, “Let’s all see if we can’t find Kylie Finch. I saw her earlier, so I know that she’s here.”
Suddenly someone shouted, “I’ve found her. She is in the back! Khloe must have stolen her seat!”
“Stop it!” Khloe cried. “Please… I will give Kylie her seat, but please quit attacking me!”
Chapter 207: That Is On You
Khloe stepped into the aisle and ran for the door. Behind her, she could hear everyone laughing. As soon as she was in the foyer, she went directly to Jane and slapped her hard across the face. “This is your entire fault!” she shouted. You let me sit in the wrong place! You embarrassed me on purpose! Everything that happened is your fault!”
“Fuck that noise,” Jane shouted. “I am sick and tired of you bullying me and forcing me to take the blame for your faults. I have always given you sound advice, but you never take it. That is on you!”
People were looking at them, but Jane didn’t care. She had reached the end of her rope.
Khloe quickly yelled, “Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!”
One of the guards picked up his radio and said, “Code White. We have a Code White in the foyer. I need extra security. I need someone to call the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Unit. If this escalates, we may use restraints until they arrive.”
“I’m not crazy,” Khloe shouted. “I am angry. There is a difference. You can call off the men in the white coats. I am not going to Funny Farm!”
The guard looked at Khloe and said, “Ma’am, if you are in a safe place, you will have to show us by sitting down and calming down. When the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Unit arrives, that will be your opportunity to prove your sanity.”
***
William waited for Kylie to take her seat before he continued on with the show. “Well,” he laughed, “at the Oscars, we never fail to bring something new every year. Now that that’s over let’s continue on with our regularly scheduled program…. And the winner for Best Supporting Actress goes to – drum roll please – Kylie Finch!”
The crowd went crazy as Kylie walked up to the front. As a newcomer, she was very popular. Now, after the hullabaloo that they’d just witnessed, they loved her now more than ever. To Kylie, walking up to the podium and receiving the award felt more like a dream than something that was actually happening.
Kylie opened a piece of paper, spread it open, and began to read: “I would like to thank the cast and crew of The Tea Maiden. This is yours as much as it is mine. Anything that we accomplished, we accomplished together. I would like to thank my family, friends, and the Oscars for recognizing me. This night will always stand out as a highlight in my life. Lastly, I would like to thank my fans. Without you, I would be nothing. I wish that I could smash this statue into a billion pieces and share a piece with each and every one of you.”
As she stepped down from the stage, the endless applause was deafening.
When Kylie arrived back to Garbo Place, she rushed into Ethan’s arms shouting, “I won! I can’t believe it – I actually won!”
There were tears of joy running down her face. Ethan wiped the tears off of her face and said, “I was watching the whole thing on TV. I couldn’t believe the stunt Khloe tried to pull. It was pretty funny, though, when the whole thing blew up in her face!”
“So,” he wondered, thinking about her career, “what’s next?”
“I want you next,” she replied, intentionally misunderstanding him. “I want you now!”
“Sounds good,” Ethan laughed, “If you want it here and now, here and now it shall be. Take off your clothes and lie down on the floor.”
“It’s not going to be that way,” Kylie explained as she began to reach for the zipper on the back of her dress. “I want to be on top for once.”
Before either of them was even ten percent undressed, though, the doorbell rang.
Ethan looked at Kylie and said, “There aren’t many times that we are alone in the house, so why don’t we just ignore it.”
Kylie nodded but, a moment later, the bell rang two more times. “Whoever is at the door,” Kylie concluded, “they are awfully persistent. They must have seen our cars parked out front…”
The doorbell rang three more times, and on the last chime, they could hear Tom Thomas yelling through the door: “Please answer the door. I know that you are here. I wouldn’t be bothering you if it wasn’t important…”
“I’m coming!” Ethan yelled. “Hold your horses.”
As soon as Ethan opened the door, Tom tried to push his way in. Ethan, being much bigger and stronger than Tom was, pushed him back easily. “You’re not coming in,” Ethan laughed. “Don’t beat around the bush. Just tell me what’s going on.”
“Because of what Khloe did,” he replied, “Dora is in trouble, and I don’t know how to help her…”
Ethan smirked and asked what that had to do with him.
“On the way home,” Tom explained, “our car was attacked. Dora was injured. She was taken to the hospital, but she says that you are the only person she will allow to treat her. She has had bad experiences in the past, so she is very paranoid about doctors. Will you come?”
Suddenly Kylie appeared. She wrapped her arm around Ethan’s waist and said, “If you need to go in and help Dora, I understand. But only do it if you want to. You know how manipulative she can be. This could all just be a ruse.”
Ethan looked at Kylie and then back to Tom. He said, “Kylie and I were in the middle of something when you arrived. Once we are done, I will come to check on Dora. If her injuries are life-threatening, but her paranoia keeps her from accepting treatment at the hospital, then that is her choice. If she dies, she will go out on her own terms. It wouldn’t be my fault.”
Kylie gave Ethan a quick squeeze and said, “If Dora needs your help, you should go to her. If she died while we were ‘taking care of business, I would feel terribly guilty. I know that you don’t want to split up, so why don’t I come with you? For a long time, I’ve wondered about your work at the hospital…”
Ethan nodded his head and praised Kylie for her quick thinking.
Chapter 208: I Will Remember It
When Ethan and Kylie arrived, they found Dora lying on a hospital bed in the middle of the hallway. When he asked a nurse why she was in the hospital hallway, it was explained to him that there weren’t enough rooms to waste one on someone who was refusing treatment. He even noticed that the nurse was pissed off while throwing a glance at Dora.
Hearing his voice, Dora looked up and was surprised to see that he’d brought Kylie. She thought that Ethan would arrive alone to take care of her. She met Ethan’s eyes and apologized for bothering him. Ethan nodded and asked her what was going on. Dora explained that she felt noxious and light-headed; dizzy – and she couldn’t feel her right arm. Ethan didn’t say any words after hearing Dora’s complaint.
Right away, Ethan dialed the number of a surgeon that he trusted, and knew he was on shift and asked the surgeon to meet him in an operating room. He felt obliged to help Dora at this moment. He ended the call quickly and told a nurse to take Dora to one of the operating rooms. He looked at Dora and said, “You need surgery right away. You are lucky that I showed up when I did. If this had gone untreated any longer than it did, you would be dead within the hour. Let that be a lesson to your ego and paranoia!”
Dora went silent, and deep inside, she felt betrayed because she realized Ethan had changed a lot after being together with Kylie.
As they walked into the operating room, it suddenly occurred to Kylie that Ethan had probably treated many women and felt incredibly jealous. She can’t accept the fact that her husband has been so good to some women around him. He must have seen many holes and breasts. He’d probably seen so many that he didn’t even remember them all.
Having those thoughts, before Ethan scrubbed in, Kylie pulled him aside to voice some of her concerns, demanding to know how many women he’d ‘treated’ over the course of his career, and how he was connected to Dora. She felt lost about her husband’s real identity. Ethan ignored the first question, but he explained that Dora often ran errands for him and collected material for him.
Kylie squinted her eyes and asked him if this had anything to do with Matthew Parker. If it did, she realized, their relationship made more sense. Mathew had been responsible for the human trafficking scheme that had ruined his childhood. From what she’d observed though, Matthew either didn’t recognize Ethan, or he thought that Ethan hadn’t known him. That is to say, and he felt safe – which is exactly how Ethan wanted him to feel.
Either way, the situation gave Ethan the upper hand. He had only to wait for the perfect opportunity to strike back. If he was patient, Matthew would definitely not see him coming. If Dora was a part of his scheme to get revenge, then she could forgive him completely. If there was something else going on, though, she could rightly assume that every female patient he’d seen over the years was a direct threat to her and her relationship with Ethan.
“Ethan, who really you are? If you hide something to me, bear in mind that I will not forgive you,” She warned him.
“Honey, please, this is not the right time to explain everything. Rest assured, I will not betray you for faith’s sake!” He said abruptly.
“Ethan Parker, I have my limit and boundaries of allowing you get closer to any woman,” She sneered at him.
“Jealous woman, really so scary sometimes,” He smiled at her then squeezed her pretty face.
“Whatever! What belongs to me only belongs to me. I will make you celibate for how many months if I discover you made done awful things,”
“Okay, I will remember it!”

Tom arrived fifteen minutes after Dora went into surgery. He approached Kylie and asked her what was going on. Kylie explained that Dora had a cervical dislocation and a concussion and that she was with Ethan in the Operating Room. “She will be in the hospital for a while,” she continued. “If you want to look at her chart, the nurses have it at the reception desk. Dora told them that they could release them to any of us, provided that we agree to return them as soon as possible.”
It was another half hour before Dora was wheeled out of the Operating Room and into a private room. They had given her a laughing glass, so she was still asleep. It was an hour after that before she woke up. Seeing Ethan at her side, she said, “I want to get up. I have to use the washroom.”
Ethan looked down at her. Frowning, he said, “At the moment, that is impossible. Perhaps tomorrow; as for now, if you have to go, just go. You are wearing an adult diaper. It is super absorbent. You won’t even notice that you’ve gone.”
“There is no one else here,” Ethan whispered. “I will keep your secret. Go in the diaper. No one will know. Please don’t try to hold it. If you do, you could be seriously injured. You could even die.”
By the time everyone had come into the room to visit Dora, she had urinated in her diaper, and it was as Ethan had said, not uncomfortable at all. Once they were all in, Ethan looked at Tom and said, “When you were on my doorstep, why didn’t you tell me that Dora had been stabbed? Don’t you know that if I’d know, I would have come faster?”
Tom’s face turned white. “I… I… guess it didn’t seem important at the moment.”
Ethan scowled and said, “You are lucky that the nurse bound her wounds. If they hadn’t, she would have died, and it would have been your fault!”
Tom: “…”
“You make me want to puke,” Ethan hissed. “I am going to get a breath of fresh air before I do something that I might regret.”
Chapter 209: Nothing To Worry About Me
As soon as Ethan was gone, Tom leaned forward, slapped Kylie across the face, and called her a bitch. Before she could even think to retaliate, Ethan grabbed Tom and threw him to the ground. He went mad when he saw that Tom hurt his wife. Apparently, he hadn’t gone as far as he’d said that he was going. Instead, he’d hovered just outside the door to see how things would play out when he was gone.
Ethan placed his shoe to Tom’s neck and applied pressure. “How dare you hurt my woman? Are you seeking for death? I can’t let you hurt her, not even any other person,” he hissed.
Kylie turned to look at Ethan and asked him, “What’s wrong with people lately? How did I become the target for so many people’s angst? I didn’t do anything bad to anybody; why does it seem I did a terrible act?”
Tom was squirming and trying, without success, to get Ethan’s shoe off of his neck. His face was red, and his breathing was shallow.
“I don’t know,” Ethan replied. “There are some people in this world, though, who just can’t handle others’ success. It makes them go crazy. They can’t accept defeat nor accept any failure from their own actions. Would you like me to kill Tom? It would be easy; nothing really – just a little more pressure and its lights out. God knows he deserves it.”
“I almost want to say yes,” Kylie replied in an instance, “but no. Let him up. He might be the villain of our story, but I don’t want murder on my conscience. I can’t let my man kill someone for me,”
Ethan felt sad for his wife. He knew why Tom acted this way, but he can’t tell Kylie about it right now. He let go of Tom when Kylie stop him; however, he sent a resentful look to the man. Tom quickly get up, and before he leaves, he threw some words to Ethan. “You will regret what you did, Ethan. Saving that woman who obviously changed you a lot,”
“Shut up! You don’t know what you are talking about!” Ethan snapped at him.
Kylie held Ethan’s arm and said, “Honey, calm down, I am okay, nothing to worry about me,”
“I shouldn’t have brought you to see Dora,” He pulled her and hugged her tightly.
Kylie didn’t respond to him. She wrapped her arms around Ethan’s waist.

One the other end, Khloe slowly opened her eyes and found herself in an empty room with nothing in it except the bed she was lying on. She got up and went to the door, turned the handle, and was frightened to discover that the door was locked. She cried out for someone to help, and a woman appeared almost instantly, with a clipboard in her hands.
She said, “Please take a seat on the bed so that I can come in and talk to you.”
Khloe took a seat, and the woman stepped in. She had a fold-up chair that she set up across from Khloe. She looked at Khloe and said, “Hello, Khloe, my name is Mabel. Do you know where you are and why you’re here?” The woman asks her in a gentle tone.
Khloe shook her head and said, “The last thing that I remember is being at the Oscars. I thought that I’d won an award, but it was a mistake, and everyone was laughing at me… and my right arm hurts.”
“You are in the hospital, specifically, the psychiatric unit,” Mable replied.
“After what happened at the Oscars, you became violent, and you were acting erratically. The Mobile Mental Health Crisis Unit came. They tried to calm you down, but you would not listen. They tried to restrain you, but you fought them off better than anyone I’ve ever heard of. In the end, they had to inject you with a chemical that would put you to sleep. The injection insertion was on your right arm, which is why it hurts.
“We’ve run some tests while you were asleep,” Mabel continued. “Everything seems to be alright. Of course, we will have to work together to get to the root of what happened, but your child is fine, which should lift your spirits. Do you have any questions about anything that I’ve said so far? If nothing then we can continue with our session,”
Khloe’s eyes went wide, mostly where the woman mention child, “Did you just say that I’m pregnant?”
“Well, how about that?” Mabel laughed. “You didn’t know; well, congratulations. The baby is around four or five weeks old.”
Hearing this, tears of joy ran down Khloe’s face. She knew that the father had to be Ken. It wasn’t Aiden at all, but he had to do it for the sake of her plan. In fact, after having sex with Ken, she’d worried that she might be pregnant. Now though, her greatest fear had been actualized, and it had turned into her greatest joy. With this news, the night at the Oscars felt completely unimportant. She should be grateful that she can carry out another plan to pursue her purpose to be Aiden’s wife.
That being said, she still had to keep perspective. She looked at Mabel and said, “This is such great news, but I am very afraid of the future. After what happened at the Oscars, my career is ruined, and my plan to marry into a super-wealthy family has been thrown out the window. Worst of all will be having to watch Kylie’s star climb up while mine disappears into oblivion.”
Suddenly, someone knocked on the window. Alice was there, and Mabel asked Khloe if she felt up to having a visitor. Of course, it killed her to know that she had been admitted into the funny farm, but it was too late. That cat was out of the bag. Khloe looked at Mabel and said, “I think I would like a visitor.”
“If at any time you need me,” Mabel said, “press the red button at the side of your bed. Your friend won’t see it, but it will let us know to come in and explain that the visit is over. That way, you don’t look like the bad guy.”
Mabel nodded to Alice as she opened the door.
Chapter 210: Different Side of Ethan
Alice went and sat beside Khloe on the bed. She took her hand and said, “Don’t worry, my love. Things will get better. You need some help, but you will get it out here soon.”
“Mom,” Khloe cried, “my career is ruined… people in the showbiz industry talk about me after I was humiliated at the Oscar Awards Night.”
Alice looked at Khloe and said, “I watched the Oscars, and it was bad. I won’t beat around the bush on that, but it doesn’t mean that your career is at its end. Many actors have lost control of their lives and come back stronger than ever. Look at Robert Downey Jr. or Demi Lovato. Hell, ever Mcauly Culkin is making a comeback. They all looked great and was even better than ever! There is still some hope awaits you after what had happened,”
Khloe absently chewed on her nails and said, “I just don’t get it. I was supposed to have had a seat at the Oscars. None of this would have happened if someone could have pointed it out to me, but even the attendants wouldn’t help me… I don’t know what’s really going on that night,”
Hearing this, Alice felt pretty helpless, and it broke her heart to see her daughter in so much pain. “When you get out of here,” she said, “you are going to spend some time with your cousins. It will help you get your head straight if you can step out of the game for a while, maybe even until the baby is born. It would be best if you took a break for a while so when you come back, you’ll have a good start,”
“That sounds fine,” Khloe replied, “so long as I don’t have to see Ken. I hated that devil,” anger filled her heart.
Suddenly, as if he’d been summoned, there was a knock on the door. Khloe looked up, only to find Ken standing through the window at her. Casually, she slid her hand along the side of her bed and pressed the red button. She wanted to get rid of this man. She felt disgusted seeing him.
It only took a few seconds for Mabel to arrive. She looked at Ken and told him that Khloe needed to go upstairs for a CT scan, that it would take a few hours, and that, when she returned, she would be too tired to have a visitor. Ken frowned, waved at Khloe, and walked away without making any trouble.
Alice stood up as Mabel opened the door. She said, “Don’t worry, I heard you. Just give me a minute to say goodbye.”
Kylie feigned sleep in the backseat of the car while Ethan drove. He knew that she was faking, but he saw no point in calling her out. She hadn’t been very pleased with him when he’d offered to kill Tom. Women, he’d thought at the time. They never make any sense.
Kylie squinted her eyes so that she could observe Ethan without him knowing that he was being watched. She was mad at him. She was mad about Dora. She was mad about Tom. She was mad about the Oscars, and Khloe, and Laurence. She was even mad at herself. Slowly she opened her eyes. Ethan looked at her through the rearview mirror and said, “Welcome to the land of the living. I thought you will still continue pretending to sleep until we get home,”
Kylie smirked, and before she could say anything, Ethan’s phone rang. It had been synced to the car so that when he answered it, everyone in the car could be a part of the conversation. “It’s Stephen,” Ethan said as he answered the phone.
“Where are you?” Stephen demanded. “You asked me to leave the house so that you could have some privacy, but that was hours ago, and now I am trapped outside!”
Ethan couldn’t help but laugh, and Stephen did not appreciate the humor. He shouted into the phone, “This is not funny. You are crazy,”
“It actually is though,” Ethan replied, “because whenever your voice rises, I turn down the volume, so you are wasting your breath. You may as well just calm down and talk regularly.
“Fuck you!” Stephen shouted, but they could barely hear him. Now, even Kylie was laughing.
Once Ethan was done laughing, he said, “Let yourself in. There is a spare key taped under the mailbox.”
As Stephen hung up the phone, Ethan had to pull over to the side of the road. He was laughing so hard that he couldn’t drive. This was a side of Ethan that Kylie had never seen, and she liked it.

Later that night, a psychiatrist came and assessed Khloe. He explained that she’d been admitted as a Form 10 patient, which meant that they kept her for 24 hours. Because it was so late, she wouldn’t be released until the next morning. There were conditions to her release. The biggest one was that she would have to return twice a week as an out-patient. She would also have to see a psychiatrist every week. Lastly, she would need to take the medication they were prescribing. If she failed to meet any of these conditions, she would be admitted as a form 1 patient, which gave them the right to hold her for 30 days.
After all that was said, Khloe asked him, “What’s wrong with me?”
The doctor sighed and said, “It is possible that you have a bipolar disorder.”
Khloe’s name was hot the next day. She was the lead story in every newspaper or magazine. She was on TV. Social Media was all over her, and memes were spreading like wildfire. Some of the stories were true, and some of them were not. Some were a mix of truth and untruth.
