Ch. 426..430: Forbidden Heat R18 Chapter 426-430

Chapter 426: Reiner - At the Beach

The beach was empty, and we were the only ones there. When I raced forward onto the sand, I could feel the soft and fine sand underneath my feet. I turned around to wave and call out to Reiner for him to follow me. Reiner didn’t seem so excited so maybe I was the one who was acting childish about all this.

“R, come over here! The sea is so beautiful!” I called out to him again.

Reiner came over to me after dumping all our bags and stuff onto the sandy beach nearby. Seeing him in casual clothes was such a refreshing change. The way his white t-shirt hung loosely around his muscular body looked so attractive. I flashed him a smile before lifting my shirt over my head to take it off and then my mini skirt followed.

“Strip, R. Let’s get in!” I said energetically as I stood in front of him in my white sunflower pattern bikini.

I could feel his eyes travelling down my body and I had nothing to hide from him. Reiner smiled at me before his began stripping his clothes off. I watched with a mix of appreciation and impatience as Reiner removed his t-shirt to expose his amazingly attractive upper body. After a short moment of feasting on the sight of his muscular chest and abs, I walked over and grabbed his hand in mine.

“Come on,” I urged as I pulled on his hand for him to follow me into the sea.

“Don’t run. You’ll fall...” Reiner warned sternly.

“I won’t fall. You’re here to catch me, right?” I replied with a laugh as I continued pulling on his large hand towards the sea.

I could feel Reiner’s eyes on me, and I turned to smile brightly at him. For a brief moment Reiner had a concerned look in his eyes. Perhaps I was just imagining things, but I decided to ask about it anyways.

“Is something the matter?” I asked with widen eyes as I stared up at his face.

“You should put on some sunscreen first,” Reiner replied as he pulled on my hand back towards the beach instead.

“Oh...right...” I mumbled. Sunburn could be bad, I guess...

I stood around as Reiner quickly arranged some large white towels onto the sand so that we could sit and lay on it. The sand felt so fine under my feet, and it felt soft and welcoming when I bent down to scoop some up in my hand. I wouldn’t mind laying down directly on the sand, but Reiner was being overly careful as always.

“Need help?” I offered as I stood behind him.

“Nope. I’m done. You should sit down,” Reiner said.

With a small nod of my head, I did as I was told, and Reiner took the seat next to me and handed me a tube of sunscreen. I looked down at his hand at the tube before looking up right into his beautiful blue eyes.

“Help me?” I suggested with a playful smile before running my back to him and sweeping my hair away to expose my naked back.

I honestly thought that he would tell me to apply the sunscreen myself, so I was slightly surprised when I felt the warmth of his fingertips on my skin along with the slight stickiness of the sunscreen. A soft sigh left my lips as my body relaxed beneath his touch. Reine firmly messaged and applied the sunscreen on my shoulders and then his large hands made its way down my back. I knew that he was just applying sunscreen for me but whenever he touched me, it always felt so good. I bit my lower lip to keep my moans to myself.

“Lay down...” Reiner instructed, and I quickly laid down on my stomach.

I rested the side of my face on my hands as I relaxed on the towel that Reiner had laid out on the sand. His large hands traced the curves of my body before he started applying sunscreen to my thighs and then my legs. My lips curved into a relaxed smile as the bliss of his soft touches sunk into my body and my heart. He made me feel so warm and safe inside.

“What about the front?” I asked teasingly when he was done with my backside.

Without waiting for his reply, I turned around to lay on my back before smiling invitingly up at him. I could see Reiner’s slightly surprised expression as he hesitated.

“Come on. The sea is waiting for us,” I urged as I reached up to tug his hand down towards my chest.

Honestly, I couldn’t wait for him to touch me more. My heart was racing, and my chest was heaving up and down. My breasts longed for his attention, and it quivered in excitement when the heat of his hand enveloped it as he cupped my right breast. I moaned softly as he slipped his large hand in between my skin and my bikini top to massage my breast directly. Soon both his hands were on my breasts, and I was moaning his name. My breasts will be well protected from the UV rays for sure at this rate.

As if getting a hold of himself, his hands slipped down to apply sunscreen on my belly which felt slightly ticklish but still very pleasurable. When his hands slid down the curve of my hips towards my inner thighs, I bit my lower lip and moaned even louder. It took all the effort that I had not to pull him on top of me and kiss him passionately.

“The sea is waiting...” Reiner reminded me with a wicked grin.

I narrowed my eyes at him and his teasing before I smiled and offered him my hands. Reiner immediately took my hands and pulled me up to my feet. I wonder if Reiner should put on some sunscreen...

“Should I help you with yours too?” I asked.

“No need. My skin isn’t as vulnerable as yours,” he replied with a careless shrug.

Chapter 427: Reiner - Spoiled by Him

“Then let’s go!” I cried out happily as I began pulling on his hand again.

The sparkling clear blue water was so breathtakingly beautiful. It was like everything about the scenery around us was begging to be enjoyed. The wind was blowing, and it felt cool against the bare skin of my body and face. The sun was high in the sky, yet it wasn’t scorching hot. The fine sand beneath my feet looked like gold. I have never been to or seen such an untouched and well-preserved beach before.

Reiner looked a little hesitant as he followed me towards the water. I wished that he would walk faster but he wouldn’t. Considering our size difference, it wasn’t exactly possible for me to drag him at my pace.

“Don’t rush. The water is probably a little cool. It isn’t as warm as it looks...” Reiner warned when we reached the edge of the water.

“Is that so?” I asked curiously.

Trying to keep my balance, I dipped a toe and then a foot into the sea water. I found out that Reiner was right, despite the sun shining bright above us, the water was more on the cold side than on the warm side.

“I told you so...” Reiner muttered but he did follow me into the water.

“I like it. I prefer the water to be a little cooler. It’s more refreshing this way, you know...” I said happily before flashing him a smile.

“You shouldn’t stay in for too long or else you’re going to catch a cold,” Reiner warned, and I could tell the he was seriously worried.

I smiled a little at him before I failed to hold back my laughter. As a result, I ended up laughing a little as I waded even deeper into the water until it reached my waist.

“You should learn to have more fun and enjoy the moment. Stop worrying about every little thing,” I said before laughing carefreely.

Reiner watched me as I sat down in the water, lowering my body so that the water came up to my shoulders and neck. I shivered slightly at the cold, but it was a refreshing and joyful experience. The water was so clear that I could see pretty much all parts of my body under the water. It was amazing and I couldn’t stop trying to catch glimpses of my own hand waving under the water’s surface. I began wondering if there were fishes in here.

“R, come here. The water feels so nice and relaxing. I can play around here forever...” I said wistfully.

Reiner had his eyes on me as he waded deeper into the water to come to my side. Everything was so silent around us, and we were undoubtedly alone. Apart from the regular sound of the wind blowing around us, occasionally a bird would fly by above while making some noise.

“Enjoying yourself?” Reiner asked needlessly.

I felt his warm hand on my shoulder, and it was a clear contrast to the slightly cooler water. Quickly, I turned around to face him and smiled before nodding my head to give him my answer. Coming on a date with Reiner was indeed a dream come true all on its own, but this charming location only added to the magical feeling of being here with him.

“Thank you for bringing me here. I am truly impressed,” I thanked him honestly.

Slowly, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down to my level under the water. His blue eyes seemed to twinkle at me when he smiled, and I found myself smiling back so effortlessly. We were so close already, but I wanted to get even closer to him. I pressed my body against his as I got lost in his intense blue gaze. Despite the coldness of the water, Reiner’s body felt extremely warm against mine as I pressed my breasts against his hard chest.

“I’m happy that you like it,” he replied simply as his arms circled my waist and pulled my body firmly against his.

I let out a small cry of surprise before a soft moan escaped my lips. His body felt so good along mine, and I could feel my body heating up a little as I began blushing at our intimate closeness. I don’t know how long we stood silently hugging each other like that in the middle of the sea. My gaze went to the horizon where the greenish-blue sea met with the bright clear blue sky.

“The sunset here will probably look amazing...” I said dreamily as I hugged Reiner to me even tighter than before.

“You’ll get to see it soon enough,” he replied as he stroked my hair.

“What should we do till then?” I asked.

Reiner pulled me away from him just far enough so that he could see my face when he spoke to me. I wondered what he had planned for our date. For some reason, I felt like he always had things planned out for me and I couldn’t wait for him to surprise me. No matter what he had prepared for me, I had a feeling that I would love it.

“We have a lot of time so why don’t you just relax for a bit. Is there something specific you want to do?” Reiner asked curiously.

Spending time with him like this was more than enough for me. On top of that, he didn’t have much on and his red hair looked wild because it was wet. All of that only added to how attractive he is, and I surely liked what I was seeing and touching.

“Maybe you can give me a piggyback ride like you always do,” I suggested with a shy smile.

“Sure. It’s even easier in the water. The water will support your weight,” Reiner replied as he willingly turned his back to me in invitation.

“Yay!” I cried out happily as I got on his back.

His hands were under my legs as he held me on his back. I wrapped my arms around his neck before he stood up. Honestly, I couldn’t tell if it was easier on him since we were in the water or not since he always seemed to carry me with ease even when we were on land.

Chapter 428: Reiner - Reassurance

“I love being close to you...” I whispered teasingly into his ear.

It was the truth, though. Before Reiner could respond, I kissed the side of his cheek softly before pressing my own cheek against his.

“You’re too honest sometimes,” Reiner commented.

I laughed a little, knowing that he was only half complaining. I was sure that he was feeling lightly shy, and I couldn’t blame him. Reiner walked with me on his back deeper into the water. I wasn’t a big fan of going too deep into the sea although I could swim just fine. However, I felt very safe and reassured since I had Reiner with me. Although I knew that I had probably grown too attached and dependent on Reiner again, I just couldn’t stop clinging to him.

“Do you think I’m too clingy?” I asked before I could stop myself.

Reiner turned his head around to look at me with a mix of confusion and surprise on his face. I bit my lower lip at the slip of my tongue. Obviously, he must have found that question weird and out of place.

“Sorry...it just kind of slipped out...” I began apologizing.

“You’re fine the way you are. You don’t need to worry about anything,” Reiner replied as his eyes held mine.

His response surprised me, and I didn’t doubt that he meant it. However, I wasn’t sure if it was truly fine for me to be the way that I am. Can I really live a life while being so shielded and dependent on Reiner?

“I’m very happy to hear that but...sometimes...I can’t help but think that I’m just a burden to you. Hopefully, one day...I can support you too,” I said while trying my best to pick out the right words to express my honest feelings.

Reiner seemed surprised at my words. I could feel that he didn’t fully agree with me but at least, my words gave him pause and he was considering them seriously.

“You can take your time figuring it all out. I’ll protect you. There’s nothing and no one that you should be worried about,” Reiner said as his eyes searched mine as if wanting to make sure that I understood.

I couldn’t believe that my out of place and random question would lead us to such an intense and serious conversation. The atmosphere clearly shifted, and I could feel Reiner’s tenseness all the way throughout his body as he carried me.

“Thank you. Let’s not stress ourselves out over it. I’m sure that we’ll figure it out together. Just like you always tell me not to worry, you should relax and worry less too,” I said calmly as I tried to shift the conversation towards a more positive mood.

Reiner nodded his head a little in agreement, but I could still sense that he was tense. I wondered if what I said hit a nerve somewhere. Of course, I wanted to ask him more about it, but I had to decide against it. Our weekend getaway had just started, and I didn’t want to ruin in all.

“Do you think that I could carry you on my back?” I asked in wonder.

“...what?” Reiner asked as if he couldn’t believe that I had said.

“You did say that the water would make our bodies feel lighter, so I was wondering if...” I started to explain.

“No. Even if you could, you shouldn’t even try,” he said sternly.

“I want to give it a try, though...” I teased.

Reiner turned around before lowering me down back to my feet from his back. I looked up at his slightly grim face as I continued giggling. Teasing Reiner was something that I truly enjoyed. I hoped no one else got to see this side of him because I didn’t want anyone else to know how adorable he could be.

“Is that a, yes?” I asked, pressing my luck.

“It’s still a no,” he replied immediately.

“Then why did you put me down?” I asked.

“Too long in the water and you’ll get sick. Let’s head back to shore,” he said before wading past me towards the shore.

I willingly followed him as my giggles echoed through the peaceful scene around us. It didn’t take long for us to reach the shore and back to where the towels were laid out on the sand along with our bags. Reiner seemed like he had something in mind, and I waited patiently to see what it was.

“Sit down,” Reiner instructed before handing me a towel.

“Thank you,” I thanked him.

Using the towel that he gave me, I wiped away the sea water from my body until I was sitting on the towel comfortably. The weather was still pleasant and so was the wind. Reiner unzipped a bag and began looking through it while I wondered what he was so focused on searching for.

“Wow, you even brought books...” I said in pure amazement when I saw what he took out of the bag.

Reiner didn’t exactly come across as a bookworm or someone who loved to read. It might turn out to be good news if he loved reading because it was one of my favorite pastimes too; however, I didn’t have a lot of time for it. Reading on the beach was something that I particularly enjoyed for sure.

“Yeah...” Reiner mumbled as he handed me a few paperback novels.

“Do you like this novel? Are these the kinds of books that you read?” I asked curiously.

My eyes focused on the title and front cover of the novels that he had handed to me before my eyes zoomed in on one in particular. The novel was a famous romance. I knew the title and roughly what it was about because I’ve seen reviews of it online, but it just didn’t seem like the type of book that I expected Reiner would read...or know about...

“Not really, the saleswoman at the bookstore recommended this one when I asked...” Reiner confessed with a grin.

“Haha...I see. It’s not a bad choice, thank you,” I replied with a laugh.

I didn’t miss the fact that he had somehow gone hunting for books for me. Looking up from the book in my hand, I caught Reiner staring off at the horizon in the distance. It wasn’t the first time since this date started that it seemed like his attention was somewhere else. Was something bothering him?

Chapter 429: Reiner - Forgotten Wish

“R...” I called his name softly without realizing it.

Reiner’s attention returned to me immediately when he heard me say his name. Now that his attention was one me, I realized that I didn’t have anything to say to him. I wanted to ask him if something was bothering him, but I knew that he would probably tell me that it was nothing for me to worry about.

“Umm...thank you for bringing me here, getting me the books...and everything...” I thanked him once again.

“All that’s left now is for us to sunbathe together and chat...” Reiner replied as he lay down on the towel.

I didn’t quite understand what he meant by that, but I decided to lay down next to him. The sun caressed our skin, and we were indeed sunbathing while we enjoyed the comfort of each other’s company. As for the chatting part, we’ve done quite a lot of that already since the date started. Reiner reached for my hand and held it firmly in his as we lay there side by side. I waited for him to explain his words from earlier, but it didn’t seem like Reiner thought that there was any need to.

“What do you mean? You know...what you said earlier...” I asked as I turned to look at his face.

Reiner’s eyes were closed, and he seemed very relaxed. I knew that he heard me because we were too close for him to miss hearing my words even with the wind blowing.

“You don’t remember?” he asked, and his blue eyes opened and stared right back at me.

What don’t I remember?

Reiner smiled when he saw the clueless look that I had on my face. Honestly, I had no idea what he was referring to. I just stared back at him with a blank look in my eyes as I waited for him to explain everything to me. Reiner smiled gently before he gave my hand a squeeze.

“I want to go to the beach. We can play in the water and sunbathe together while we read books and chat...” Reiner said as if recounting words that he had heard before.

Were those words mine? Did I say that?

“I said that?” I asked as my mind raced back along memory lane to figure out when I said those words.

“You did. Still don’t remember?” he replied as he grinned at me.

I knew that he wanted me to remember on my own. Then it hit me. Just when I said those words to him.

“I remember now. It slipped my mind but honestly, I never expected that you would remember let alone do all of this...” I replied softly as the reality of what Reiner had tried to do began to sink in.

We were driving out on a date that I had semi-forced upon him after I’ve been grounded to the mansion for around a month after leaving the hospital. Reiner was very strict back then about my recovery from the fire. Arguably, he was still very strict even now. Those words that he just recited were what I told him during our drive. It was what I wanted to do with him on our next date together. Back then, he teased me for thinking about our next date when the first one hasn’t even really started yet.

He remembered...even more than I did...

I looked down at the book in my other hand and smiled as I felt tears sting the back of my eyes. He got it all right down to the letter. We are at a beach. We did play in the water. We are sunbathing together; I have a book in my hand, and we are chatting.

“You know...you don’t need to do anymore to win me over,” I said as I turned on my side so that I could keep my eyes on his handsome face.

“I’m not doing this to win you over,” he replied without hesitation.

Really?

“Then, what are you trying to do?” I asked as I narrowed my eyes at him.

“...good question,” he replied before his eyes slid closed once more.

I knew that I wouldn’t be getting more answers from him, but I didn’t mind. In that moment, I just enjoyed watching his restful face as he lay by my side with his eyes closed. Taking advantage of the fact that he had his eyes closed, I inched closer until I lay my head on his shoulder. I snuggled closer to him before I whispered a soft ‘thank you’ into his ear.

...

“The sunset is so pretty!” I exclaimed as I spread my arms wide and lifted it up above my head towards the sky.

I’ve seen many sunsets in my life but this one must have been the best one so far. After lazing around on the beach with Reiner most of the afternoon, the sun was about to set. I thought that we would simply watch the sunset together on the beach, but Reiner had other plans in mind. Still clad in nothing but my bikini, he led me up a trail after wrapping a light shawl around my waist to provide some coverage.

It wasn’t like there was anyone else to feast their eyes on my lack of clothing besides Reiner, but I was willing to keep it on if it made him feel better. The path was narrow and not exactly smooth, so it was a great idea that I had my flipflops on. It was a walk up and about a few minutes in, I was beginning to feel like I wouldn’t make it to our destination.

“Get on,” Reiner said as he squatted down in front of me with his back turned towards me.

“This is turning into a ‘ride Reiner’s back’ day for me...” I said teasingly.

“I can carry you over my shoulder like a sack instead. What would you prefer?” he said, only half-jokingly.

After pulling a pouty face at him to show my slight dissatisfaction, I climbed onto his back. Reiner stood up with me on his back effortlessly. I guess it didn’t matter if we were in the water or not. The walk became fun for me after that because I wasn’t tired and struggling to keep my balance all the time. Being on Reiner’s back also gave me the chance to look around and enjoy the nature around us.

Chapter 430: Reiner - His Solution

Reiner carried me up to a clearing on the side of the hill and there was an impressive cave of hanging rocks behind us. I don’t think I’ve been in a cave like this before and I found everything interesting. Apart from the mysterious cave, the view of the sandy beach, the sea and the horizon that lay beyond took my breath away.

“You get excited quite easily,” Reiner said like this whole thing didn’t interest him much.

“I do?” I asked as I turned to smile at him.

“You’re probably getting easier to please too...” Reiner said observantly.

“Isn’t that good news for you?” I teased playfully.

“Maybe...” he mumbled in reply before his eyes returned to the horizon.

My eyes followed his towards the horizon where the setting sun had dyed the sky in a mix of blue, purple, pink, and orange. It was such an enchanting sight that I couldn’t help but sigh at the beauty and serenity of the view in front of me. The settle sun was reflected in the sea water and the effect looked very magical in my point of view.

“This view and I guess everything about this place are so romantic...” I said in appreciation before I reached for Reiner’s large hand and held it.

Slowly, I leaned my head on his arm as we continued to watch the setting sun together. I don’t remember the last time that I felt this peaceful both in my heart and in my mind.

“You think so too?” Reiner asked.

Reiner pulled me gently in front of me him so that he could wrap his arms around me protectively from behind. I leaned back instinctively against his warmer and much larger frame as I enjoyed his presence and closeness.

“Of course. This date is only getting better and better. Thank you so much, R...” I whispered tenderly to him.

“I guess we’re at the right place at least...” Reiner muttered softly as if he was talking to himself.

However, since we were standing right next to each other, I had no trouble hearing him. I wondered what he meant by that for a moment but when I was about to ask about it, Reiner continued speaking. This time it was clear that his words were addressed to me.

“I thought about putting this off for another day but...” Reiner said, sounding quite hesitant.

“Hmm?” I made a confused and questioning sound that reflected my true feelings.

Once again, Reiner was talking about something that I didn’t know or understand. What is he going on and on about? Was his mind elsewhere again?

I looked up at his face in confusion as I cocked my head slightly to the side to see what he was going to do or say next. My eyes blinked innocently and for some reason, I was holding my breath although I had no idea what I was anticipating or waiting for.

“Natalia...” he called my name softly, but his tone was serious.

“Yes?” I responded as my body stiffened a little in his arms.

Slowly, Reiner turned me around in his arms so that I was facing him. I looked up at his face to see him staring down at me with a very serious look on his face. His large hands held my shoulders softly yet firmly. Everything told me that what he was about to say must be very important and the way he was acting was starting to make me feel extremely nervous for no reason at all.

“Listen carefully because I’m only going to say this once,” Reiner said as he looked down and stared deeply into my eyes.

His beautiful blue eyes captivated and captured mine. Compared to the setting sun, his blue eyes were like snowflakes in the freezing winter. The magnificence and the determination in his eyes made me forget all about the setting sun.

“Aha...ok...” I murmured as I continued to stare deeply into his eyes.

“Let’s get married,” Reiner said bluntly as his hands tightened slightly around my shoulders.

“...huh?” I squeaked in such a soft and small voice that I could barely hear my own voice.

What did he just say?!

...

“I just thought that I should let you know so that you won’t be too surprised if, you know, she goes missing and never returns,” King said in a completely detached way.

First it was her mother who died in Lucien’s place and now someone was willing to pay an exorbitant price to erase Natalia. Based on what King had said about the client being an old one that he seemed to know well, Reiner didn’t have to make a wild guess to figure out that whoever requested to have Natalia erased was the exact same person as the one who wished for Lucien to die back then. Of course, Natalia’s mother took the hit instead and the one who pulled the trigger was none other than himself.

“I’m not asking you to take care of this mission, so you don’t need to worry. After all, I’m not that heartless. I’m just following protocol and I hope that you’ll understand that,” King stated matter-of-factly.

Reiner could hardly hear his father’s words as his mind raced to figure out what to do. His objective was clear, he had to save Natalia no matter what. However, it wasn’t going to be easy this time around. King is always professional about how he ran his business. He didn’t just prioritize money, but he also prioritized professionalism and dignity.

“Natalia is employed by our company. As per the protocol, she should receive our protection,” Reiner quickly argued.

Trying the protocol approach to get some protection for Natalia was the first thing that he could think of. It wasn’t unusual for some employees to receive protection which meant that they could not be targeted as targets for murders and assassinations.

“She’s not an agent and neither is she listed in the list of people we are liable to protect. She’s just a secretary...even if she happens to be yours. She can easily be replaced at a cost much less than the profit that we will earn from this simple but over-priced mission,” King said.
