Chapter 516: Reiner - Worry and Care

It wasn’t very often that Reiner would admit that he needed my help. He always ended up doing things for me so if there was a rare chance that I could do something for him then I would definitely jump at the opportunity.

“Fine...” I muttered before stuffing a spoonful of food into my mouth and began munching on it.

“Can you help review my report after dinner? I’m almost done so I really want to get your thoughts,” I requested.

“Sure. You don’t have to worry too much about the language and such as long as the truth is there and it’s concise,” Reiner replied reassuringly.

“I’m a little nervous. This is my first time sending a report directly to King so...” I confessed softly.

“You’re right. I’ll help you,” Reiner agreed without pause.

“Thank you!” I thanked him cheerfully.

After dinner, Reiner sat at the table while I stood by his side as he read the report that I had typed up. Although I made sure to include all the necessary facts and our observations, I wasn’t confident whether the report would live up to King’s expectations. There was also the issue of me worrying endlessly about what would happen to Celine and her team. Although I knew that they were in the wrong here, I still felt bad for exposing their wicked scheme. I had no idea what punishment would await them if King were to find out about what they had been doing.

“Overall, it seems ok,” Reiner commented with his eyes still on the report.

“Really?” I asked excitedly.

It had been a while since I had felt so relieved to get something right. Reiner turned to smile a little at me before he turned back to the report.

“We counted some of the inventory in the storage room, right? Why don’t you add a table of what we counted and what was recorded in the report here just so he can see the difference for some of the items,” Reiner suggested as he pointed to the screen.

“Great. That should be it. Quickly shoot it over in an email to King so you can finally relax for the day,” Reiner said in a gentle voice before he got up from the seat.

After adding in the table just as Reiner had suggested and reviewing it, I sent my first ever direct report to King while keeping my fingers crossed. Everything is going to be ok, I repeated to myself in my head over and over again.
