Ch. 151..160
Chapter 151
His smirk faltering, he released her and turned away before replying.
"I wanted good for you and brother, she did not want that... "
"Do you know him? My brother?"
He smirked again.
"He should have been here a while ago, but the werewolves are holding him back... Because they know if he reunites with you, the requirements will be met and I will be released."
Naomi stared at him suspiciously. The werewolves wouldn’t do something irrationally right? There was a reason they didn’t want to release him. There was a reason her mother didn’t trust them in his hands... But for fear of his reaction, she said nothing, and only played along.
"If you return with your brother, and his mate... then I would tell you all you need to know. Our family would be complete Fiona. Don’t you want that?"
"I do... but... " She frowned. "I... " If she happened to know who her brother was, she’d have to force her way through the pack of werewolves to get him, that means she’d....
Her eyes widened again.
"You said... my brother was meant to arrive a while ago... does this mean you sent your subjects to get him?" The King didn’t meet her eyes this time as the tears rolled down her cheeks. "They had to kill to try to get him, didn’t they? They... " she shielded her hands with her mouth in realization, but suddenly she felt a prescence behind her.
Before she could turn, a hand was placed over hers, and she stared at her father in shock, his grip hurting her as she struggled, but the Kitsune behind her quickly wound the necklace, similar to Koan’s around her neck and she stopped struggling.
She turned, looking straight ahead while Jacob released his grip, watching as her blue eyes discolored, turning to a blue-crimson glow.
The Kitsune behind stepped back and down from the elevated platform, moving to stand amongst her fellow Kitsunes, bowing her head.
King Jacob held his daughter’s arm again, this time earning him her attention as she turned to him with a blank stare, her eyes glowing a different color other than the one similar to his.
"I’m sorry it came to this, but my time is limited if I keep staying here. I need to be free and exercise my power," his gaze turned serious. "My subjects will have no problem killing the last Alpha for the ritual, but you’ll need to get your brother. If you have your brother, then you have his mate. Do whatever it takes to get them Fiona."
"Do whatever it takes." She echoed his words, staring into his eyes with a blank neutral expression.
He smirked.
*
Nancy’s eyes groggily opened, but before she could fully open them, she felt someone’s lips against hers. Eyes flying open in shock, she glanced up to see...
She pulled back, her hands braced up against his chest, realizing that he was towering over her on the ground, his hands at either sides of her body, holding up his weight so he wouldn’t crush her.
"Koan!"
He crashed his lips against hers again, taking her lips in his with a raw hunger and hurry that surprised her, leaving her breathless, yet she kissed him back, reaching up to tease his hair with one hand, stroking his back with the other.
When she pulled back again, she glanced over his chest, before meeting his eyes, a smile finally stretching on her lips.
"I missed you." She said pitifully and made to cry, but he placed a finger against her lips.
"Don’t. Or I’ll end up crying with you." He said, and she stared at the finger on her lips even as he pulled it away, before meeting his eyes.
"Where are... " She glanced around. "Where are the others... "
"We’ll join them soon," with that he drew his face down to the nape of her neck, taking a bit of her flesh at the side and sucking slow and sensually on it. Nancy’s eyes rolled to the back of her head, her grip on his back tightening as she released a shaky moan.
"Right now we have some catching up to do." He whispered.
"But Koan," She stiffled a moan, her legs slowly rubbing against each other as he dragged his hand down her stomach, to the area between her legs, his touch hot, even through the material of her clothing. "Koan." She persistently called.
"Nancy." He sighed, turning to look at her.
"Koan... I really want to talk to you... I want this... I really do. But... I want."
"You want to know about my mum, don’t you?" He asked knowingly, and after biting her lip she nodded.
"I just feel like... as I was starting to know you, it’s like I haven’t even begun yet."
"I also have the same thoughts about myself," his gaze turned serious. "But right now... I don’t want any distractions. You can ask me all the questions you want later, and I promise, I’ll reply everything single one of them the best way I can, but nothing’s going to stop me from having you now."
Her eyes widened, and a blush crept up her face.
"H- here? Now?"
"I want to mark you as mine Nancy," She drew in a sharp breath, biting her lower lip hard, her fingers slowly raking over his back as his hot breath teased her ear, his fingers mercilessly causing a riping sound to echo softly as he tore off her panty, her sacred coven bare before his touch and sweet torment. "But I want to make it memorable for you. I want you Nancy. I want to touch you... in places you’d never let anyone touch. I want you to cry under me, I want your nails to f**king dig into my back as you cry out my name in every climax because baby you’re going to cum until you have nothing left in you to climax anymore," her breath came out shaky, as his fingers parted her legs, and she voluntarily parted them further, her back aching from the ground as he slowly touched her down there, her legs shuddering from the intimate contact. "I’m going to make up for all those times I held back when I so badly wanted to ravage you," he leaned back and their eyes met in the darkness. "So pick a safe word Nancy."
She daringly stared him right in the eyes, breathless from his words, yet trying to steady her voice as she whispered.
"Are you planning on hurting me?"
"No," he smirked, and she found herself falling for him all over again. "But you’re going to have to if you can’t handle it, and want me to stop."
Her heart flipped both in anxiousness and excitement for what was to come. Would she really not be able to handle him?
"There’s no need." She suddenly said and he raised a brow in amusement.
After what seemed like seconds, he asked.
"Are you sure."
She sighed and sandwiched his face between her hands before crashing her lips against his, this time surprising him before pulling away .
"I want you Koan. Take me however you please."
And with that, he lowered himself, dragging his body down hers, trailing hot kisses over her body, leaving her heart already pounding excitedly yet anxiously for what was to come.
His lower body between her legs, his arousal hot, almost searing through her inner thighs.
Releasing a shaky moan, she parted her legs further before looking down, locking gazes with the man she loved— despite his flaws.
"I love you." She mouthed before dropping back to stare at the sky, lush trees and sparkling stars, smoothing her palm face down over the ground.
Koan smirked before lowering his head, planting a tentative, hot kiss at her inner thighs, earning a soft sigh from the woman underneath him.
He knew the situation they were in demanded caution and speed, but this was their first time together. This wasn’t just any one-time thing. She wasn’t his typical one-night stander. This was his mate, and he felt obligated to make their first time memorable and special by taking his time in giving her the most blissful pleasure she’s ever felt.
And he would mark her after that. He would sink his canniness into the soft fleshy area of her colar bone, and he would claim her as his till eternity.
After teasing her thighs with his lips, rubbing it against her sensory spots, he finally parted his lips, tongue snaking out to swipe against her folds.
"Oh f- fuck." She moaned, her lower back rising from the floor as he suddenly thrust his tongue into her without warning, sending jolts of sharp electric but soothing tingles travelling up her legs to her spine.
He hurriedly lapped against her, properly adjusting below her to part her outer folds with his two fingers, leaning in closer to suck and lick her clean of the wetness dripping out of her.
"F**k Nancy," he spoke against her, her waist slowly rising to meet with his thrust. "You’re so delicious, I could keep going at this forever. I swear."
She slowly bit her lower lip before releasing it once more, sucking in a sharp breath before digging her claws into the ground, aching her back up from the floor, her legs quaking down there.
The sweet torment was unbearable, yet she scrunched up her face in confusion when his hot searing tongue and lips parted from her wet core.
Just before she was about to take a few breaths to steady her pounding heart, she yelped, her claws digging deeper into the ground, a loud moan tearing from her throat as his thrust one finger in there.
"Kill me now!!!" She moaned loudly, her voice was shaky, her breathing was ragged, and her mind was clouded, unable to focus on anything but his finger going in and out of her.
Just when her eyes were shut tight, her lips parted as she took small breaths to steady herself from thrashing underneath him, she felt a warm breath fan her face, and involuntarily opened her eyes which widened on seeing Koan.
With his other hand which wasn’t buried deep in her, he brushed her hair across her face and lowered his head, kissing her.
She moaned, eyes half closed as he made her taste herself and f**k, she did taste so delicious.
Chapter 152
As he reluctantly dragged his lips away from hers, she breathed a sigh of bliss when his fingers pulled out, her legs trembling from the sinful, treacherous but carnal torment.
"Are you... " He hesitated, not knowing how to say it. He swore he was trying to be as gentle as possible, unlike his nature. But he just wanted to make sure. The woman underneath him looked all sweaty, her hair sticking to her forehead, her eyes half closed, lips parted to enable her breath.
"I’m fine Koan." She whispered, raising her hands to brace against his chest. "I... just... I also want to do something for you."
"Nancy," He sighed at the cute pout on her face, brushing her hair to the other side of her face, rubbing his thumb across her lip, pulling it down slight and letting it bounce back to it’s original position. "The things you do to me." He whispered with a groan.
"But I didn’t... "
He suddenly knelt back, leaving her to lie down there, his gaze not leaving hers even as she sat up in confusion, her palms face-down, braced behind her.
"Strip." He ordered, eyes sharply blazing with something hard and penetrating, causing her blood to boil until she subconsciously felt another throbbing pain between her legs.
The sides of her lips lifted into a slow daring smirk as she stood, her gaze not breaking from his even for a second as he sat on his knees, his knuckles on the ground steadying his weight.
Koan’s throat ran dry of any liquid as he watched her back up to a tree, her gaze steady and daring, almost taunting in his. For every second that seemed to go by, he got painfully harder as a surge of new raw hunger travelled through his body, down to his groin as if all the blood In his system rushed down there.
She slowly began to unbutton the only thing holding the dress up on her slender mouth-watering curvaceous body, and the next minute, her full cleavage was fully visible for him to behold.
"F**k Nancy." She was knowingly slow, so unbearable slow, he was resisting the urge to rush over to her and just fucking rip her clothes apart.
As if she could tell what he was up to, she raked her eyes him before they locked gazes again.
"Don’t come any closer Koan... " She warningly whispered, smirking at the impatient look in his eyes. Her hands slowly moved to the left arm of her gown, careful pulling it down her arm, glancing over her shoulders as she did, finally turning to look at him, smirking again.
She pulled the other arm without breaking eye contact this time, and the next moment, she faced the tree, giving him a generous view of her graceful curved back as she dragged the gown down, across her stomach, down to her waist, hugging her breast to her bossom, and letting the gown settle at her feet.
Something unfathomable glittered in his eyes, his self-restraint finally shattering like shards of glass. With a deep throaty growl, his wolf hurriedly persuading him to devour her, he rushed towards her, roughly sandwiching her between his bulk and the tree, Nancy gasping at the sudden movement.
Her hands were securely around her breast, holding them close to her bossom, her head thrown back as his hands wrapped around her naked waist, his lips trailing soft kisses from the back of her neck to her upper back, sucking and groaning all the way. Her creamy soft skin against his tongue was bliss.
Nancy gasped, holding the tree, bracing her palms against it when she felt his hot buldge pressed against her from behind, almost burning a hole through his pants .
He pulled back, his gaze trailing over her smooth skin before his hands moved again, grabbing hold of her and spinning her around so that he could view her moderate sized breasts gazing back at him.
Leaning his head back, he gulped, feeling his throat run dry again, staring at her beautiful body, all curvy and smooth skin.
"You’re so beautiful." He whispered, and when they locked eyes, she dragged him by the colar and pulled him close— so close their noses was just an inch apart. Raking her gaze from his nose down to his lips, she parted her lips, angling her head to capture his in a kiss before suddenly pulling away, not giving him the chance to kiss her back.
"I want to see you too." She meekly said, biting her lip afterwards, her hold on him loosening as she expected him to back away and undress like she did.
"Then undress me." He daringly said, bracing his hands on either side of her head on the rough bark of the tree. "Kiss me while you’re at it. Can you do that?"
"Try me." She grabbed his colar again and pulled him close, this time their lips brushed against each other before he captured her lips into another hot kiss, one hand hurriedly dropping to cup one of her breasts which fit perfectly in his grip, even as he squeezed and fumbled with it, stroking his thumb over her nipple, smiling devilishly into the kiss as he felt her fingers tremble on the first button of his shirt.
His tongue forcefully thrust into her mouth, sweeping against hers, his hand crawled up from her breast, going further up to throat, wrapping possessively around it and pushing her head back into the tree before pulling away, glancing down to see she had finished with the buttons.
A whimper escaped her lips, followed by a croaky moan as he choked her a bit harder, lowering his head to latch onto her nipples, sucking hard and mercilessly.
Almost reflexively, like the entire thing’s been planned, she dragged him close to her by the buckle of his pants, her fingers already working on the buttons as they moulded their lips together into one again, Koan groaning hard into the kiss as she snaked her fingers into his hair, grinding hard against him.
Everything was suddenly hurried as she impatiently waited, watching as he broke the kiss, backing away to pull his shirt off his body, his ripped muscles flexing as he did so, causing her clit. to throb again as she imagined thm flexing that way as he plundered her hard and mercilessly.
His pants went down, followed by his underwear, and her lips parted, hands subconsciously bracing against the tree behind her on seeing his length, already hard and hot, f**k, he could hammer in nails with that hardness.
She slowly licked her lips, not able to soak in his entire inches as he sandwiched her against the tree again, kissing her hard and mercilessly, not giving her time or space to breath.
Nancy didn’t realize she was grinding hard against him, feeling comfort rubbing against his naked member, not until he roughly grabbed her ass, pulling her up, her legs reflexively wrapping around his waist.
Helplessly turned on, she moaned harder into the kiss, her hand sliding to his back to dig her claws in, drawing blood.
"Sh*t." He groaned into the kiss, a growl rumbling off his chest, sensually grinding hard against her, leaving her helpless against his touch, her claws digging harder into his back.
"Nancy," He pulled back slightly, nuzzling against her swollen lips, their eyes closed, foreheads touching as he whispered.
She grinded against him, already impatient to feel him inside of her.
"Do it Koan." She breathlessly whispered back, moving her head to plant an encouraging kiss at the side of his neck, naughtily trailing her tongue up to his ear before sucking on his ear lobe.
He leaned to the side a bit, holding her back against the tree, feeling her legs tighten about his waist as he held his length in his hands, positioning it close to her entrance, already dripping wet, ready to take him in easily.
Teasingly, he rubbed the head of his ember over the entrance of her wet core, biting his lip as she thrust her hips forward, yearning to take him in.
"Koan." She pleaded. "Koan please... " he kept rubbing against her, wanting to hear her beg him some more. Her voice was slurred like she had been drinking the. best wine, and she was already drunk. He just needed to hear her say those words, and after some minutes of what Nancy would call pure sweet torture, she threw her head back into the tree, forehead glistening under the moonlight from the sweat matted on her face.
"Koan Please," she said in a shaky voice. "Just F**k me. Please Koan. I’m yours to torture and claim... "
"Forever?"
"Mm." She couldn’t form any comprehensible words and could only nod, eyes closed, lip between her teeth biting down hard on it to stop her from crying from the extreme pleasure surging through her.
He lovingly kissed her before whispering.
"Look at me."
Nancy slowly opened her eyes, her heart hammering against her rib cage as this metallic blue eyes of his held hers captive. Hunger, possessiveness, love. All in one gaze of his.
As he slowly slid his throbbing length into her, their gazes remained locked, even as her lower back ached off the tree, her claws digging deeper into his back, leaving scars as they raked across the broad masculinity, easing the amounting pleasure threatening to kill her .
A shrill gasp tore through her lip from her throat as he pushed the entire length in until his balls were brushing against her ass, his hotness fully inside her which she accommodated after a while, clamping down tightly on him, her claws slowly pulling out of his flesh, feeling pure bliss as he just settled there, waiting for her to recover from taking him in all at once.
"I’m going to start moving now, Okay?" He whispered, planting a kiss on her parted lips before pulling back to hold her further up, back against the tree, her legs wrapping tightly against his waist as she anticipated his next move, her inner muscles clamping further down around his length.
Chapter 153
Nancy glanced down, her hands clamped down on his shoulders, nails slowly digging into his flesh, watching as he thrust into her, his c*CK already lubricated with her love juices disappearing into her throbbing core and reappearing wetter, glistening under the moonlight.
After the first few thrust, he held still, trying not to quickly explode at the exquisite tightness, her inner muscles clamping down on him as he hammered into her, trying to milk him dry of anything he had left.
Soon, he began pounding into her again, sending unprepared surges of electric pleasures travelling up her body. Her hands moved down to his back, the image of that wolf tattoo in her head as she imagined tracing over it’s head in a perfect translational motion.
"Koan." She breathlessly moaned, throwing back her head, her entire body quaking at each heavy thrust, her legs wrapping instinctively tighter about his waist.
"F**k Nancy, you’re so... " he sighed "F**k, you’re so tight." He groaned, reaching up to the crook of her neck to whisper, causing her lips to tremble just as her legs did, her eyes lids slowly dropping.
"... So f**king hot, milking my c**k like the sexy sl*t you are." He groaned, and she drew him close, moaning loudly before burying her lips in his, sliding her tongue in and lapping it against his, her teeth coming to roughly bite down on his lips as he increased his thrust, almost like he was hammering into her, relentlessly, trying to keep up with her firy kiss.
When he pulled back, their gazes locked, before she threw her head back, reflexively clamping down on him again, thrusting her hips forward to take him in completely.
Feeling his tongue run over her breast as he thrust into her once more, her back ached off the tree, her hands moving to cup the wet strands of his hair from the sweat as his tongue flickered over her throbbing hard nipples, that taunt jaw of his massaging her breast, a shaky moan tearing through the silence, accompanied by a groan as he involuntarily drew back before meeting with her eyes.
She drew back, heart skipping a beat on meeting with his eyes. Not blue, but a dark gold color. His wolf.
The marking ritual completion.
Tears welled up in her eyes from the many emotions swelling in her heart. She would never forget this day. Never.
She could feel her wolf pushing her into his embrace, wanting him to mark her and claim her as his, and she wanted that too.
"I love you Nancy... " He whispered, the two aware that he was still buried in her, lifting her hair, pushing it aside, smoothing it over her scalp.
She soothed her hands over his face, wiping the wet dark curls of his hair aside, planting a kiss on his forehead before drawing back.
"I love you too Koan," there was so much emotion put into her words, she had to gulp before saying in a strangled whisper "More than you’ll ever know."
He pulled away and drove into her again, her fingers raking down his back, feeling her climax nearing the surface.
"Koan," she moaned after an unseemly unending ride, "I want to... I w... "
His voice was hoarse and throaty.
"We’ll c*m together."
She bit her lower lip, nodding before throwing her head further up, pushing her lower back forward to meet with his plundering.
A small shudder left her lips when he groaned.
"F**k."
"Mmm." A long moan into the night, the two reached climax together, his hot release bathing her insides, aware of her inner thighs and his blessed with the rest, before she stiffened, feeling his canniness graze the curve of her shoulder.
Without warning, he bit into her neck, drawing blood, marking her, claiming her as his forever. Instantly, she groaned, thrashing underneath him as she felt the pain of his sharp canniness dig into her skin, tearing it open. Soothing her, he licked and sucked strongly on the patch of skin he had bitten, leaving his mark on her.
At the heat of the moment, the sparks, their scents, just about everything occuring between them heightened such that he could hear her thoughts, her heart beat amplifying like a melodious tune in his head, her firy, sensual prescence.
As her legs slides off, dropping to the ground to stand, he cupped her face and she tilted her head up as they shared another kiss as if sealing the mate bond mark.
**
"The truth is... I was more attached to my dad than my mum. I kind of knew she wasn’t a werewolf then, even if she told me she was just a latent, there was just something mystical about her." Koan explained softly, leaning back against the tree, absentmindedly running his hand through Nancy’s hair as she meekly lay there on his lap.
They were fully clothed, basking under the moonlight after the after-glow of their bonding.
"No one knew you had a mum then, how did you meet her?" She asked, raising her gaze up to lock with his.
"I usually met her every full moon once in a month at a secluded place. My dad will take me there of course," he looked pained as he deliberated on telling her the next words. "I... I didn’t have a normal childhood. Because I always wondered why I had to go off into the mountains just to see my mother when she could just live with me and my dad like a family. And Dad... well... he tried all he could to be a good father, but knowing I had a mother who just wanted to see me 12 times a year was heart breaking."
She didn’t say anything, but she entwined her hands with his and brought it to her lips, placing them against it.
"And one day, my dad and I went off to see her, and, well... we saw her. Then she wanted to speak to my dad alone, and I gave them their privacy," He stopped and Nancy glanced up to see his other hand, thumb and forefinger holding each eyes, preventing her from seeing the emotions in his eyes, yet she could feel them in her heart, strangling and clenching— like she could literally feel the pain. "I came back in time to see her push a dagger through my father’s chest. She killed him. I wanted an explanation... I wanted it to be a dream, a nightmare, but I stood there and witnessed my mum kill my own dad."
Tears dropped from the edge of her eyes, down the side of her face, hearing the pain behind his words, but she swiftly wiped her face before he could realize she was crying. He needed comfort, and she shouldn’t be crying. She should be consoling him; not the other way round.
She cleared her throat, looking away.
"What did she do after?"
Koan shrugged, and a painful chuckled was heard before he said,
"She just... left. No goodbyes. Nothing. It looked like she was in a haste. But I never heard from her again. I’d see her in my dreams though. I saw her being locked up in a room, and tortured by a man. I saw her being tortured to death, and my heart yearned for her, to see her again, to know why she killed my father, to know why she left me. She wasn’t there all the time for me, so why did she take away the one person that was actually there for me,"
"I was really young then, so my late uncle, aunt Lizzy’s husband ruled the pack until I reached 16, and my father’s legacy was passed down to me, and I got full rights over my pack."
For a while there was silence, as Nancy just lay there deep in thought. Here she was thinking she didn’t have a normal childhood. Though she had never met her mum, and her dad hadn’t really tried to build any father-daughter relationship with her, she didn’t think she’d even want to stay alive if she came across the scene of her own mother killing her father and abandoning her.
It was no wonder Koan was so cold. Apparently, with no father’s care and mother’s love as he grew into his teens, he was bound to turn emotionless and sturdy in his feelings.
"We’ll get through this together, you know that right?" She whispered, moving so that she was straddling him, their two hands entwining on the air, his hand clutching hers in his. She could see the fear in his eyes. The fear of trusting someone again, yet she could feel his heart wide open as he let her in, wanting her as his forever, promising not to hurt her, promising to always be by her side if she’d reciprocate. He was like a broken toy who needed fixing, and she would fix him— not with screws or tapes— but with her love and affection.
"Yeah." He whispered, glancing up at her, and she didn’t see the hardened, tough, emotionless side of Koan everyone saw and feared, she saw the vunerable, lost side of him, yearning to be loved, and her heart broke into a million pieces on seeing him like this.
"We’ll find your sister... the killings, the blood, the tears, everything will stop, and peace will reign again, and we’ll all laugh as a complete family and look back at all these as the past." She said, smiling with tears welling up in her eyes.
With their hands still entwined, he reached up to brush her hair across her face, and they smiled simultaneously at each other.
"I’d love that." He murmured.
She bit her lower lip, stiffling a pained laugh, blinking back her tears as she gazed at him with all the love she could ever muster.
"You know what I’d also love to have right now?" He suddenly asked.
"What?"
"You."
She rolled her eyes with a smile cracking on her face, and the tears finally rolled down her cheeks in union with his.
Chapter 154
"Talia."
Crunching of leaves, the sound of the wind swishing, tussling back his hair as he tried to catch up with her quick strides.
"Talia!"
With clenched teeth, he grabbed her elbow and spinned her around only to turn sideways as he felt a sharp pain on his cheek.
She had slapped him.
Turning, the pain on his cheek turning numb, he saw the tears welling up in her eyes.
"You know, you could have picked a better time to act like such a mute a*shole!" She shot at him, wiping her cheek with the back of her hand.
"What did you expect me to say? He clearly wanted to speak to you... "
"You know," She interrupted him, chuckling bitterly, with tears still welling up in her eyes. "Sometimes you could try to act like a REAL boyfriend. Cardin is my best friend... and we both know he thinks something is going to happen between us, but I’m pretty sure he’ll get the message that I’m not interested if you step in and tell him to back off."
He frowned slightly, leaning back to face her squarely.
"Sh*t, you made me look so stupid. You knew I wanted us to talk, and the next minute Cardin’s trying to talk to me, and you act like I don’t even exist anymore."
He said nothing, just standing there, watching her vent out all her frustration.
"I’ve always respected the fact that you’re... socially distant and can’t really speak up in some situations, but this concerns us. Or... don’t you just care? Are you exhausted? I mean, it’s not even up to a month yet, are you f**king tired?!"
He threw his head back to the sky, stars glistening in his eyes, his hands moving back to rake his hand over his hair, before he slowly lowered his head.
"You probably did respect that fact about me when we were little, but I think you lost your patience when we grew up," Talia’s eyes widened before they narrowed at his words again. "You can’t just tell a baby to ride a bike at birth, can you? You teach that child how to actually ride a bike... you start with training wheels, you help with the pushing and everything... you’re always supportive, always present to witness him get a few scratches before he finally can ride a bike without your support or training wheels, right?"
She shrugged, avoiding his eyes.
"What are you saying?"
"The only thing you’ve ever cared about was how much effort I put into the relationship. How much I call... how much I text. Talia, you’ve never actually supported me. You’ve never really cared to help me."
"What do you need help with? I mean I’m not blind! I would have helped you if I knew exactly what your problem is, right?" She snapped, yelling at him, veins producting at the sides of her head.
"Everything is my problem, but you don’t seem to care!" He yelled back at her, and she shrank under his voice, chest rising and falling, yet her eyes widened on hearing him.
"I do care, okay? And yes... I do have emotions like a normal human. I do get jealous when I see you around Cardin... I get angry too, but you just can’t expect me and break things up between you two. You have been best friends longer than we have been. You’re supposed to tell him to back off and not me. You always expect everything of me because I’m the boyfriend and you’re the girlfriend. If I don’t call, you won’t. If I don’t text, you won’t. I know, growing up, I was never really a good friend to begin with, but you never bothered to know what was wrong with me"
He stepped closer to her but she backed away, glancing to the side, tears dropping down her cheeks, brows furrowing in anger.
"I admit I hurt you while we were growing up, and I apologized. I was really, honestly sorry, but now, I’ve just come to realize that we’ve only focused on your side of our story. Have you ever thought of what my side is all about Talia?" He swallowed painfully when she wouldn’t even look at him.
"I’m trying to be the sweet, outgoing, supportive boyfriend you’ve always wanted... I mean.. since you don’t like the real me, I might as well be the boyfriend you want, right?"
"If I wanted to date an actual sweet, social outgoing freak who’s sincerely supportive, I would have dated Cardin, or better yet, John."
There was a standstill silence as they just stared at each other, Jephthah’s eyes twitching from so many emotions swirling in them.
"Then why me?" He whispered, backing away to stare at her whole, as if scared her answer would hurt him like a gun shot— a bullet going through his chest.
"I don’t know." She whispered, looking away.
Silence.
"Wow." A tear dropped from his eyes as he smiled painfully, rubbing his hand across his face before staring to the side, cupping his jaw.
Talia shut her eyes, folding her lips in, forcing the muffled cry back in, aware she had made him cry.
"Maybe I need to rephrase my question."
"Jephthah." She said, turning to him, a warning, pleading tone in her broken voice.
He stepped closer to her again, and she stood there, tilting her head to stare up at him.
"How could a beautiful, perfect Beta’s daughter of Blood Moon’s pack who can get anyone want to date someone like me?"
She pursed her lips, and glanced down.
When she didn’t reply, he casually nodded, concealing the pain in his eyes.
"You know, when I always thought of my future Luna, I always had a supportive woman in mind. Someone who’d actually want to know the real me and love the real me, AND support the real me without complaining about everything little thing I do wrong... "
"And you said I wasn’t supportive enough," Talia cut in, swallowing an imaginary big pill before saying in a hushed whisper, casually shrugging. "I guess you didn’t picture me when you had your future Luna in mind, did you?"
He was about to reply when she added,
"Gosh I’m just so stupid," She suddenly chuckled. "I’m working myself over being your future partner... what if we’re not even fated mates? Then what Jephthah?"
His heart shattered hearing her words, and his throat ran dry as he forced himself to reply her.
"Then I hope your real mate’s out there... your dream mate. Who’ll support you, and love you like the perfect mate you’ve always wanted me to be but I couldn’t."
Talia bit her lower lip, before forcing herself to look at him, a small smirk cracking on her face.
"Are you... breaking up with me?"
"I’m not you Talia. I actually have a conscience."
"What makes you think so?"
"Because I love you too much to hurt you," he snapped and yelled at her again, and her eyes widened. "But you... you ’don’t know’." He used her words against her. "If you don’t even know why we’re dating, then why go through all the trouble of wanting us together?"
"Well, since I’m the one who hasn’t got a conscience, then maybe I should relieve you of me as your burden and break up with you instead."
"I can’t tell if you’re that immature or just crazy." Jephthah muttered, annoyed.
"Isn’t it what you want?"
"Really? Did I say that? Or are you in a hurry to get back with Cardin, your supposedly perfect mate?"
Tears flowed down her face like a stream and he stiffened, heart cleanching in pain seeing her hurt.
"F**k you Jephthah." She whispered, and tried to walk past him, not glancing at his profile even once, not until, he grabbed her arm, calmly dragging her back to her previous position.
"Hey," he cooed, rubbing off the wrinkles that had gathered on his forehead. "Let’s just talk this out, okay?"
"There’s nothing else to talk about." She snapped.
"We had a silly argument. It’s normal for couples to fight, right? Let’s just make up." He casually got close to hold her, but she stepped back.
"You’re sick." She cursed, and he bit his inner lips, holding back a hurt look. "You don’t know a thing about relationships, do you? You don’t know what it means to love and care about someone’s feelings, do you?"
He just stared at her with a blank expression.
"You’re... " She paused before she turned to him again. "You’re just an Android, aren’t you?"
"An Android werewolf," he smirked bitterly. "Really thought you were smarter than this Talia. Are we really going to let this little fight get In between us like some stupid barricade."
"There’s no us." She spat out, and the small smile on his face froze before it slowly fell.
"You ended this the minute you didn’t think I was supportive enough to be by your side... to love you... "
He chewed on his lips before he spoke up again.
"So, you’re saying this is over? It hasn’t been a month, and I don’t know what exactly happened here, but that’s it? You just... you’re ending this? It hasn’t even started, not until all these happened with the Kitsunes and everything, and you just want to end this?"
"Yes." Came her short cold reply.
After a while he just nodded and backed away, giving her room to leave if she wanted .
"Ok." Came his colder reply, and with tears in his eyes, he watched her leave before settling on the ground, burying his face in palm, bawling his eyss out like a child.
Chapter 155
"Bullshit!" Liliana cursed, Raiden pressing his fingers at the bridge of his nose.
"I just can’t with you." He sighed .
"What’s all this about us probably not being fated mates? Can’t you just admit you love me?"
She parted her lips, but he abruptly cut in again.
"This isn’t important. What’s important right now is trying to stay alive before we’re all wiped out of existence."
"What if," she pursed her lips before forcing herself to look up— to stare into his eyes. "I die tomorrow."
With an irritated frown, he narrowed his eyes at her.
"What if I die like Dora did?"
He chuckled bitterly, a pained look in his eyes as he glanced to the side, raking his hand through his messy curls before turning to her again.
"Do you really want me to answer that?"
"Tell me," she moved close, and he stood his ground, lowering his chin to his chest to bore holes into her eyes with his. "What if I die, Raiden?" She snarled. "You’ll regret this. You’ll regret having all the time in the world to be with me, but you were too cowardly to actually do so."
"Stop saying nonsense Liliana. No one’s dying."
"Not all girls would shamelessly confess their feelings to a guy, you know?"
"Yeah, and you know not many usually get accepted."
"We have till tomorrow to make things right before we go back to the Battle zone once more. And we might not really turn out the same anymore. Is this how you want us to end up?"
"What makes you think I love you?" He suddenly asked.
"I know you do Raiden," her voice softened as she approached him, but his blatant fierce stare caused her to freeze in her steps.
"Lust isn’t love." He simply replied.
For several minutes, no one said a word until she finally moved, turning back to head to the fireplace, not sparing him a glance anymore.

"Like this?" Fiona said, raising her hand up and snapping. In a second— between her thumb and forefinger— there was a small glow of a yellow fireball.
King Jacob smiled proudly, lazily leaning back into his throne.
"You’ve just learnt the first of many, dearest daughter."
Fiona’s eyes shone with something dark and unfathomable as the light emanated a soft yellow glow in her blue-crimson colored eyes .
"I want to learn more father," she turned to him. "How do I attain more of these powers you speak of?"
"You have all the powers you could ever want, Fiona. It’s just within you. It’s been within you all these years. You just need to draw it out using both your external and internal energy."
She stepped back from the elevated platform.
"How do I do that?"
He lazily balanced his chin on his hand.
"The external energy which you’ll need won’t be hard to find. It’s all around you. There’s infinite mana in Foxtune, so you won’t have a problem using the energy to draw out your powers, but you internal energy," he cleared his throat. "That’s the problem."
She frowned slightly before he continued.
"You need to be trained to be able to draw out your powers from within you because your internal energy is quite weak."
"Train? For how long?"
"Usually, it takes a few months... "
"Months?!" She cut in, eyes narrowed in frustration. "We don’t have months, father!"
"I mentioned you shouldn’t worry, dearest daughter. It will take months for any other Kitsune, but you’re a royal pure breed. A rare dragon princess. It will only take a few days."
"What about my brother? What about the ritual completion? Do we have much time?"
"If we start early, we can train you in time to get your brother. Once you do, you can share you acquired internal energy with him, and then we can start the ritual."
It was still late night, and the voices of the two echoed in the quiet throne room.
"T- then we must begin the training session now." Fiona said, brows furrowing as she stared at her father in full seriousness.
*
"Koan!" Liliana yelled in shock, seeing him amongst the others gathered around the fire, sitting side by side with Nancy.
"Hey you." He managed a smile, as she jumped into his arms like a missile, nuzzling his nose in her hair.
As she pulled back, chuckling from having jumped into his arms so quickly, she saw a familiar mark on Nancy’s neck which had taken the shape of the same wolf tattoo at Koan’s back.
"Just what the f**k did I miss?!" She yelled, and everyone turned to her. "When did this happen? Let me see!"
"What happened?" Brittany asked, pursing her lips worriedly. Had something gone wrong just now?
"When did this happen?" Liliana turned to the mark curiously. "It’s the mate mark. When did... " She turned to Nancy and Koan who exchanged a smile before entwining their hands Infront of her.
"I figured." Daniel sneered and Barton elbowed him.
"Let me see. How does it look like now." Brittany crawled forward, almost falling into Koan as she peered at Nancy’s neck.
Nancy laughed, feeling a bit ticklish as they almost gnawed at her neck to see.
"It’s a wolf." Liliana said, welling up on seeing the familiar wolf tattoo mark at Koan’s back.
"What’s yours?" Nancy asked, turning to Brittany.
Brittany smiled before pushing her hair to the side, exposing her neck and giving her a view of a bloodied colored moon mark on her neck.
"Okay Okay. I’m happy for you Nancy. You guys have your mate mark, and you’re mated to best mates ever. Would you kindly stop feeding me dog poop now." She said, and everyone laughed except Nancy who saw through her words and saw the hidden pain in her eyes.
As Brittany went back to Royce’s arms, Nancy gently held Liliana and they locked gazes.
"Where is he?"
Liliana shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes. The others had gone back to talking, sharing jokes and topics amongst themselves while throwing things into the fire to while the time.
Kaon and Nancy exchanged glances before turning to Liliana who looked like she was going to break down any moment.
"I’ll be back okay?" Nancy whispered to Koan, already pulling Liliana up with her.
"Be careful." Koan whispered. He so badly didn’t want to spend even a second without her by her side, but he knew the situation demanded the women’s privacy.
As Nancy and Liliana disappeared into the woods, John finally said outloud.
"Sh*t. I just realized how hungry I am."
Cardin snorted, but said nothing.
"Can’t you teleport back to Ruby Stone’s and grab us some food and clothes." Barton asked Hakura who was absentmindedly pushing a thin stick into the fire.
"I’m hungry too," she glanced at them. "You guys can hunt for some wild game for me. You all are werewolves in the wild right? If my energy is restored, then I can teleport back to Ruby Stone’s and get whatever we need before morning."
"We can’t shift If there aren’t any spare clothes to use after."
She didn’t reply, finally tossing the stick into the fire, but when he probed her further, she finally said,
"Well, you can figure it out yourselves if you really want me to go back and get some clothes and food." She snobbishly said, and as everyone murmured in frustration, Cardin just smirked at her guts.
John and Barton decided to go together.
"So, What do witches like to eat?" John asked, dusting himself up.
Scrutinizing her sharp nails, she twisted her lips into a snarling smile.
"Werewolves." She turned to him, running her tongue over her lips, her eyes glowing with yearning hunger as she scanned him.
John gulped before turning to stand behind Barton, burning up when the others laughed.
"Stop taunting John before he starts crying." Brittany pretended to caution Hakura, and this time the witch laughed along with them.
John sulked while Barton asked.
"No really, what?"
"I like my preys alive... just get me something between a squirrel and a porcupine."
"You could have just said so." John mumbled as he followed Barton.
As they left, Hakura reached up for the scrunchie holding up her curly brown colored hair, and everyone stared in awe as it fell over her shoulders, down to the ground.
Her hair was silky and beautiful, to compliment her caramel colored skin and upturned olive eyes.
"So Hakura," Brittany drew close to start a conversation with her since the guys were talking amongst themselves, and she needed to talk to a female. "How come you’re here amongst us and not in hiding like other witches."
Hakura drew her hair up into a pony tail, before twisting it into a neat little bun.
"For revenge obviously. You think I’d bother with helping you guys if it doesn’t concern us. The Kitsunes trespassed into our territory and tried to force us to work for them. Obviously, no one wanted to, so they had to force us, and by that many lives were lost."
"I’m guessing your family was involved."
Hakura tried a nonchalant shrug but Brittany could see the mistiness in her eyes.
"My family, my friends, and even my boyfriend, Samuel... I managed to Escape though, and I found myself at Shadow Slayer’s."
Brittany purses her lips pitifully.
"I don’t know how I’d feel if I lost Royce." She whispered, feeling the witch’s pain.
*
As John and Barton made their way through the woods, they ran into Talia .
"Hey... where’s Jephthah?" Barton asked, holding her back when it looked like she wanted to walk past them, and they saw the tears streaming down her cheeks.
John frowned as he held her other arm.
"Talia, What’s wrong?"
"Jephthah." She just whispered, wailing, her heart being surged with so much pain as she shielded her face with her hands.
"What?! Where is he? Talia, where’s Jephthah??" He looked behind her, hoping he’d step out of no where.
"Please don’t tell me you left him alone?"
She stared up at him, wiping her cheek with the back of her hand.
"Why?"
"F**k," John starts running back to where Talia had emerged from. Talia ran after him, screaming.
"John what’s wrong?"
Chapter 156
Barton and Talia stood by side, watching the scenery of John running up to Jephthah who was flat down on the ground, hand and legs sprawled like he was offering himself to the sky.
After what seemed like minutes, John helped him up, and the twins walked past them with Jephthah using his brother’s shoulder as support.
Talia felt her heart drop to the pit of her stomach seeing the state Jephthah was In, and she felt even worse when they walked past them like they were strangers.
"I know this is the wrong time to say this," Barton began and she turned to him. "... but, we have to catch something between uh... a squirrel and a porcupine? Yeah... don’t looked so shocked, it’s for Hakura. She’s got the upper hand because she can teleport back to the pack and get us some food and clothes and probably some soap... we all need to get cleaned in the lake from all the blood and sweat... so we have to get her what she calls ’energy restoration meal."
She wiped her cheek, pursing her lips thoughtfully before she asked,
"Okay... where are we going to find a porcupine or whatever you call it."
"We’re in a Forest." He snorted his reply. "And since John’s not available, I was wondering if you could help."
"Sure." She managed to say, wiping her cheek again and walking ahead of him, biting down on her lower lip hard, and hugging herself, eyes twitching with so much emotions welling up in them.
Barton looked like he wanted to say something, but he held back and just quietly followed from behind.
*
The atmosphere seemed serene for a couple of minutes before her tears started streaming down her face again.
Nancy glanced up from where she was calmly snapping twigs, seated on a dead stump.
"You know he’s just scared, right? Aside that, I know Raiden loves you."
"He said it to my face Nancy. He said he never did. Everything’s just been about lust. He never did love me," She wailed louder, and Nancy got up to enclose her in an embrace. "I don’t know if I should have kicked him In the balls or if I should have cried Infront of him. But I did something alright. I just left with my heart drop-pit in my stomach." She paused, relishing in the genuine love and warmth of her Luna before whispering In a shaky voice.
"I’m so stupid. I’m so worthless. And the only thing I’m good for is loving someone who doesn’t even give a sh*t about me."
Nancy pulled back to glare at her.
"Liliana, you’re not worthless. You’re brave to begin with. Believe me, not many females could do what you actually did. You’re beautiful... f**k, you’re so gorgeous... you’re kind, you’re sweet, and feisty when the situation demands you too be, and you’re not scared of anyone. You’re not scared of putting yourself out there for the ones you love."
She welled up, basking in the sincerity of her words, knowing she wasn’t trying to flatter her, yet...
"That’s it?" Liliana stepped back, shrugging while folding her lips In, holding back another muffled cry before saying, "You’re saying I’m perfect. I don’t have any flaw?"
"Well, we haven’t known each other for that long," Nancy chuckled as she folded her arms, giving Liliana a pointed look. "But I’m guessing you’re kind of too attached."
"What do you mean?"
"What I mean is, you’re obsessed with Raiden. You love him, but with how you act clingy around him all the time, he might not get the message that you do love him. He might think you’re just obsessed with him and not really serious about anything besides that."
Liliana furiously wiped the tears which has slided off the edge of her eyesーblushing furiouslyー as she denied.
"I’m not obsessed with Raiden!"
Nancy narrowed her eyes, a brow raised.
"You have a box full of BDSM kits for your future honeymoon." She starts counting off the list of crazy things on her fingers.
"That doesn’t mean... "
"You already have a name for all your future kids. You said you two were going to have seven kids. You made me memorize their names, and have them written in your journal!"
"I seriously don’t... "
"You named your journal- RaiLa."
"But.. "
"All those nights we slept together... you don’t go a night without calling him out while you sleep. You have wet dreams about him almost every time."
"It’s just... "
Nancy turned serious.
"It’s. Nothing. Liliana . This has to stop. You want Raiden to love you just as you do, don’t you?"
"More than anything in the world." She hurriedly replied with a yearning glint in her eyes. She yearned for him. For his love, his trust, his care and affection. For them to be fated mates. She yearned for him to mark her and claim her as his. She yearned for a future with him, with their children, a family.
"Then you have to stop clinging around him all day. Have some pride and raise your head high. He’ll realize you’ve been serious all along, and then he’ll be serious. All these obsession stuff just has it looking like you’re playing around with him."
She nodded, pursing her lips with a sign of firm resolve glinting in her eyes.
"I guess that’s easy." She mumbled, uncertain.
"Good. Now let’s go back to the fireplace." Nancy calmly grabbed her arm and led her to the fireplace where everyone was already gathered.
Soon, Barton and Talia joined them, followed by Raiden who sat next to Koan, wanting to be filled up on detailed updates on Nancy’s fresh, visible mate mark. The pair had caught two squirrels, and they had all watched in horror as Hakura ripped out their internal organs, propped a stick through it, and after a few crafty minutes, she was able to hang the organs over the fire to slowly cook.
Daniel, John, Royce, Brittany and Nancy tried to liven up the moment, but the rest were either too emotional, depressed, angry or just disinterested.
"Let’s play truth or dare." Nancy suddenly spoke up, almost jumping up and down where she sat.
"What are we? 3?" Cardin snorted.
"Who said only kids could play it?" John suddenly chipped In, a smirk on his lips.
"Yeah," Nancy didn’t have a clue of what was going on in John’s head. "There’s nothing wrong if we play it. Besides, we don’t feel sleepy yet, and it’s a long night before tomorrow."
Brittany glanced around the circle, taking note of the gloomy faces, and bored expressions.
"No one looks excited about it. We might as well just... "
"No," Nancy snapped. "We’re going to play." She whined, looking like she wanted to cry.
Cardin rolled his eyes.
"... Right John?" She turned to John and he nodded with his whole head.
"Sure. We are. And everyone’s playing." He rubbed his hands together. "Are we ready?"
"We need a bottle... just like they do it In the movies." Nancy said. It looked like she and John were the only ones excited to play while the others just stared on..
"We can just ask in order. John will start, and when he’s done, his ’victim’ will continue from there." Daniel finally said.
"Okay... So Daniel, let’s do this. Truth or Dare?" John announced.
Hakura silently ate the last morsel of food, licking her fingers to the disgust of some, before turning her full attention to the game, not wanting to miss it.
"Dare." There was a taunting glint In his eyes.
"I dare you to... ," he turned to the witch who was still licking something off her fingers. "Kiss Hakura." He sneeringly said, and Hakura glared at the two of them, especially when Daniel turned to her.
"Grow up John." Cardin murmured.
"Yeah... I’m not going to do that you perverted piece of... "
"Whatever." Hakura just murmured to herself, wiping her mouth.
"Okay then, but whoever turns down a dare has to eat the leftovers from Hakura’s meal."
Daniel made a face like the others.
"You can’t be serious."
"What’s wrong with what I eat?" Hakura suddenly announced, and a good number of them cleared their throats before looking away. She narrowed her eyes and cursed silently.
"Are you eating it? Or are you doing the dare?"
"I have a mate." Daniel tried a pathetic excuse. Talia, Brittany, Barton and Koan managed a sneering smile.
"Who you clearly haven’t marked." John shoved a stick down the piece of leftover by the fire and held it up to Daniel. "So what’s it gonna be?"
He stared quietly at the disgusting thing which had dried blood on it before turning to Hakura who had an amused look on her face.
Sighing, he got up, walked over to where she sat, and Infront of everyone, quickly pecked her lips before moving away, glaring hard at John who had a smothering smirk on his face.
Hakura rolled her eyes, before brushing a stray strand of her hair from the bun- back.
"My turn." He snatched the stick from John’s hands before his eyes scanned the circle. He met with Koan’s eyes, and a slow predatory smile was already forming on his lips on what to say, but the words ’Try me’, accompanied by a cold glare, sent his eyes moving to the left.
"Talia, truth or dare?"
She turned to him, feeling everyone’s eyes on her. Her eyes were half-closed, bored.
"Dare."
"I dare you to make out with any guy in this circle for thirty seconds, hands will be involved." He added, waving the stick Infront of her just incase she was ready to change her mind.
As everyone ranted amongst themselves on how they were going to countdown, she caught Jephthah’s eyes, but he glanced to the right before turning away.
She followed his previous line of sight to see Cardin, and another pang of pain struck her heart, followed by a dry throat, as she forced her tears back in.
Suddenly, her hurt was replaced by a surge of anger and her pupils dilated.
Almost Everyone knew Talia would pick Jephthah. They were expecting the name without any hesitation, but her next words caught them all by surprise.
"Cardin, are you doing the dare with me or not?"
Chapter 157
Royce choked on his saliva, and a few others turned to Talia like she was crazy or blind. Cardin had the same expression as well.
Seriously?
"Guys, it’s just a kiss. Why are you over reacting so much?" Hakura asked irritatingly.
"I guess you could say we’re over reacting," Brittany pointed out. "But it seemed obvious that she was going to choose her boyfriend." She glared at Talia. "What the f**k, Talia?"
"She could be joking," Nancy said, avoiding Cardin’s dark gaze. "Right?"
Cardin glanced to the side to see Hakura place the tip of her finger on the tip of her tongue like she was cooling off a hot finger, ’burned by their words’. She winked at him in mockery, and he turned away after shooting her a piercing gaze.
"Okay... what is going on?" Cardin announced, clearly irritated.
Talia parted her lips to explain...
"I’d also like to know as well." Raiden chipped in.
"Why don’t I just tell everyone. I mean... since you don’t seem to have a single bit of conscience in you, everyone should know, right?" John said, and Talia’s eyes widened.
"First off, Talia and my brother here are dating," Everyone turned to Jephthah who was leaning back against the tree, chin up, hand across a drawn up knee. "Well actually... there were dating, not until tonight."
"What?" Daniel yelled.
"You mean... when you two left together, when I thought you two were going to make up from one silly fight, you actually broke up?" Royce asked, and Talia shuddered under his dark gaze.
"What?" Daniel yelled again.
Barton smirked, amusement in his eyes as he asked a question which seemed like Daniel wanted to ask but couldn’t, due to shock.
"I knew you two were close, but dating? Jephthah? When did all these happen?"
"During your Alpha Naming ceremony." John casually replied.
"Seriously?"
"A lot of things happened that night." Koan whispered, loud enough for Nancy to hear, and she gave him a bashful smile before they entwined their hands again.
"Well, it hasn’t been a month yet. How come you two just broke up?" Liliana curiously asked.
"Well that’s all I know. They were acting childish, and just broke up. If they knew they weren’t ready for a relationship, and weren’t ready for a heartbreak either, they shouldn’t have dated in the first place," John glared at Talia. "But kissing someone else Infront of your ex? I rather you eat the left overs off that stick."
Cursing, both from anger and embrassment, Cardin got up and left the circle.
"Cardin." Talia called, but he ignored her. He was clearly angry.
Hakura just got up and went after him, but everyone was so involved in Talia and Jephthah’s drama, that they didn’t notice.
"You can’t tell me what to do," Talia fired, brows furrowing in anger. "And why blame me for the breakup? Did you care to listen to my side of the story."
"So now, someone cares about listening to people’s side of the story." Jephthah suddenly scoffed with a sneering tone.
"I wasn’t talking to you." She retorted.
"Grow up." He fired.
"Shut up." She snapped, and he just rolled his eyes, leaning back on the tree as he said,
"Well, those dried up left overs aren’t going to eat themselves, because we both know you’re not doing the dare."
"I can’t watch this." Nancy whispered, eyes already brimming with tears watching them fight., and it was just the same as the others who knew just how close they were. And now, they were just spectators to the both of them quarrelling with a fire sparking between them.
"Then maybe I’m not going to play anymore." She mumbled before getting up and leaving.
"Could you be any more immature, Talia." Jephthah said behind her, but she just walked away.
When he made to go after her, John held his hand.
"You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to."
Jephthah was touched by his protective twin’s concern, but he just managed a smile.
"I’ll be okay."
"The doctor said your disorder will only get worse if you— "
Jephthah grabbed John’s shoulder.
"I know what he said John. I’m only going to talk to her." He muttered, and with a pat, he left before Nancy could.
"This is going to be a loooong night." Brittany mumbled, falling back into Royce who draped his arm over her
"I hope it will lead to a better day." Daniel said, and everyone turned a bit solemn.
"Where’s Hakura?"
"She left when Cardin did. I think she’s headed back to Ruby Stone’s." Koan who had noticed her leave, replied, burying his nose in the nape of Nancy’s neck as she sat between his legs, licking the mark he had placed on her.
"With Cardin? Seriously?" John frowned a bit, but Liliana just shrugged while the rest didn’t really care.
*
"Hey pretty face." Hakura drawled, stepping out from the bushes to see Cardin seated on a log of wood.
For a split second, he was disappointed that it wasn’t Talia who came running after him, but turned curious the moment he heard the familiar low, seductive voice, almost like she was singing.
He didn’t bother to turn because she was already standing right Infront of him.
"Where have you been all my life?" She cooed.
He snorted.
"Well, I’m ready to go." She announced, putting her hands on her hips.
He shot her an inquisitive, irritated glance.
"Go where?"
"Back to Ruby Stone’s. To get some food supplies and the rest."
"So?" he turned away from her. "Go."
"Yeah. I’m only teleporting the poor soul who’s going to get all those things." She scrutinized her nails, missing his eyes raking over her before he glanced away.
"I’m the not the only one in the entire forest. You could ask any other person, because I’m not moving from this spot."
"Pfffft," She stiffled a laugh, pretending to wipe tears off the edge of her eyes. "Well, everyone’s caught up in some stupid teen love drama, and I saw your pathetic soul sitting all alone here, and I thought you’d be the perfect one for me." She finished off dramatically, batting her long lashes at him in mock love.
"Good luck moving me from this spot." Cardin said with a smirk, amused by her sharp mouth.
"Aw Sweetie," She grabbed his colar, smoothing it properly along the line of his shirt, before leaning back. "I don’t even have to touch you."
The next moment, he felt a fluttering feeling in his stomach and his feet leaving the air for a few seconds, and he opened his eyes to see Hakura still standing there, a daring smirk on her face.
"What did you do... " he froze, noticing a demolished building behind her.
What the- ?
He glanced around to see that they were at Ruby Stone’s pack, at the Alpha’s domain.
"You crazy bi*ch." He cursed, glaring at her.
"Language, honey. Or I might bite off that pretty mouth of yours." She whispered, walking past him without breaking her gaze, only turning to sway her hips for his exclusive view.
He followed her, a smirk on his lips contrary to what she just said.
*
"Stop stalking me." Talia growled, aware that he had been following her all these while.
Jephthah finally emerged from the trees, a knowing look on his face, a brow raised .
"Let’s talk."
She threw her hands up In frustration.
"I’m not doing this with you Jephth... " She stepped back when he took a step close to her. "Hey. Don’t come any close," She frowned. "S- stop."
But he didn’t listen, and kept walking forward, taking a step closer for each step she took backwards, until she was sandwich between him and a tree, and didn’t realize it until she felt the hard bark against her body.
"Wh..." She turned to the side in shock, but before she could move, he braced his two hands at the two sides next to her head, leaning down to kiss her.
"Mmm." She began to struggle, clearly still angry, but he didn’t move, angling his head to the side to deepen the kiss, moving close.
When he pulled back, just an inch away to stare at her, she was flushed and breathless, but a frown was soon etched on her face once again.
"You’re invading my space and... mmmm!" she gasped into the kiss as he pressed his lips to hers again, this time snaking his tongue in to curl around hers, bringing down a hand to cup her face.
She pushed him back, but he didn’t budge, only moving his face back to stare quietly at her. Talia huffed, red in the face as he was before she brought down the hand cup cupping her face.
"I don’t even... "
He kissed her again, tilting his head the other way, taking her bottom lip between his lips and softly sucking on it. Despite her grip on his shirt, aiming to push him away, she only drew him close, moaning softly into the kiss.
When he pulled back, she raked her hair away from her face, avoiding his eyes, but unlike the other time she didn’t blow a fuse and stayed quiet.
"Are you ready to talk now?" He quietly asked. "Or are you going to lecture me about kissing my ex?"
Chapter 158
Talia sighed, not realizing she still had her grip around his shirt, and his hands braced on the tree had her head sandwiched between them.
"We never broke up, you idiot." She mumbled, glancing down to play with his shirt.
"Didn’t we now?" He smirked, finding her cute.
"No," she breathed out, glancing up at him. "I said ’I should probably relieve you of me’, and you asked if ’We’re ending this’, and I said ’Yes’. I didn’t mean it. And I never broke up with you. I just thought... "
"Do I have to kiss you again?" He whispered, and she bit her lip, her pride not letting her want to admit that she did.
"No."
"Then will you listen to me? Can we talk like two normal people without yelling at each other?"
He stepped back and held her hand in his, entwining his fingers around hers and pulling her from where she leaned back on the tree.
She stared at their hands for a while, naturally entwining her fingers around his before staring up at him.
"Okay."
With that, he led her away. For several minutes, they just stood, walking, no one saying anything yet, just basking in the moonlight and star light teasing their skin from above, the wind up in their hair, and the sounds of leaves crunching underneath their shoes.
"I love you." Talia suddenly said without looking at him and Jephthah froze, before turning to her with a blank expression on his face.
Talia sighed, releasing her hand to stand Infront of him.
"You asked me why I wanted you, why I dated you, right?"
Jephthah didn’t reply, but his expression meant otherwise. He wanted her to go on.
She came close to him, her hands cupped Infront of her.
"You wanted to know why I didn’t date Cardin or John, or any other jock, right? Well," She gulped. "It’s because I love you."
He saddened, his eyes narrowing.
"That’s not an answer Talia. Why do you love me?" He didn’t let her continue. "I love you... I’m. In. Love. With. You Talia. And you know why? It’s because you made me feel more human than I’ve ever did in my entire existence. I don’t know why, but every single second spent without you drives me crazy. I always want to know where you are... or what you’re doing or who you’re with. Even if you evidently have some anger issues, you clearly are supportive, and you’re a good person. And I like that you’re always putting others before you... "
"Look," She cut in, her heart swelling at his words, threatening to explode. "I know I might act berserk sometimes, okay? I get it, and I’m sorry. I’m sorry for not listening to you, and for not bothering to. I’m sorry for hitting you," She cupped his cheek, and closed her eyes, leaning up to place her forehead against his. "And I know you don’t believe me when I say I love you, but I do. I knew I wanted to be that person for you the first time I saw you. You’re just sweet and so caring and really, really supportive. But you’re always in the dark, and at first you didn’t even want me in your enclosed space," she opened her eyes to gaze into his. "I guess it was just too much to take in when you said you wanted me to get to know you better... "
He cupped her cheek, running his thumb across her lips before chuckling softly.
"John’s mad at you." He whispered.
Talia pursed her lips.
"Do I have to make up with him? I mean... he pisses me off all the time. So I guess it’s only fair."
He laughed, and she smiled, glad that the tense atmosphere had gotten much more lighter and serene.
Suddenly she leaped on him, and he reflexively caught her by the waist just as she wound her legs around his waist, wrapping her arms around his neck.
He turned a bit red when she traced a hand down his collar bone.
"I’m thinking of doing naughty things to you as punishment for yelling at me Jephthah." She mumbled Before raking her hand though her hair with a seductive smile.
"He- here?"
She sighed.
"How come you turn so cute and vulnerable at the wrong time. Where’s that wild side of you that wanted to claw my lips off just earlier."
"I- I just wanted to get you to stop being angry." He stammered.
"Well, now I’m h*rny," She replied and he blushed again. "What are you going to do about it?"
"Talia."
"Mm?"
"Stop being shameless."
"..."
She suddenly wound her arms around his neck, hugging him while slowly grinding against him.
"Jephthah~" She moaned seductively, grinding slow and sensually, softly biting down on his ear lobe .
His eyes glinted with something, exposing the olive-violet eyes of his wolf forcing him to ravage her.
"Talia," he tried to hold her down, but she seemed to Increased her pace. He growled before falling to his knees, pushing her down to lie beneath him. "Please stop."
She chuckled, flipping him so she was straddling him this time, her hands sprawled on his chest
"Don’t you want to know what boyfriends do for their shameless h*rny girlfriends." She sighed softly, rubbing against him, smirking when he groaned under her.
"We’re not... going to," he blushed before he mumbled. "I don’t want us to have s*x Talia."
"Have what?" She smirked.
"You heard me the first time." He avoided her gaze.
"I know. You said you wanted our first to be when you were going to mark me," her heart swelled remembering his words. "And I respect that, okay? But there are other carnal ways to please ourselves other than that."
"Like what?" He mumbled.
"Well," she drew close to him. "I could let you eat me out."
"Eat you out?" He was clearly confused.
"It’s like a blowjob," he redenned at her words. "But think of it... the other way round."
Subconsciously, his eyes moved down, past her stomach, past her waist to her...
"That’s not right." He muttered honestly, and she laughed.
"I’m not surprised this will be your first time doing this," She leaned down to kiss him again, and he tilted his chin up to kiss her back before she pulled away, licking his lips as she muttered. "But I’m honored to take all your firsts."
She pulled back, and he half-sat up, propping up on his elbows to watch her back away, loosening the buckle of her pants.
He tried not to blush again, as she sensually drew it down, pulling out her legs one after the other, leaving her in just her T-shirt and panty, tossing the blood, sweaty stained pants aside.
She smiled in satisfaction as she watched his eyes rake over her naked legs.
"Help me take my shoes off?" She pleaded, bashfully blinking her eyes at him.
"Su- sure." With slightly trembling fingers, he leaned down to pull off her shoes while she seductively glanced down at him, her hands propped up behind her face-down to hold her weight, sucking on her lower lip.
When he was done pulling off the last pair, she leaped on him with a growl, straddling him and kissing him hard and long with her hands tugging hard on his hair, feeling protected and safe as his hands wound around her waist, bringing her close.
She was already feeling wet down there, the throbbing sensation of her clit. forcing her to instinctively rock hard against him, throwing her head back at the ecstacy of his hardness, giving him a full view of her neck leaning backwards.
Jephthah bit his lip hard, staring down to see the remarkable, unnatural movement of her waist grinding against him, his hardness feeling something wet and hot down there even through the barrier of their clothing.
"F**k Jephthah," she leaned down to kiss him. "You’ve turned me to such a h*rny so*t."
"But I’m not doing... "
She kissed him again, their breaths ragged before she finally leaned back on the floor, dragging him down so that he was lying above her, but when he opened his eyes from the fall, he noticed his head was...
He tried to lean back but she curled her legs around the back of his neck, pushing him in, intoxicating him with the sweet scent of something unfamiliar, yet making his mouth water.
His violet eyes glinted olive-violet, as his wolf thrashed within him, urging him to devour her. With one move, he tore her panty off, and Talia gasped, not expecting the sudden roughness at all, still, an anxious, excited feeling welled up like a tingling sensation spreading from the pit of her stomach down to her toes, burbled up.
She leaned down, and her heart fluttered seeing him press the panty to his nose, his gaze not leaving hers as he murmured.
"You smell so good."
He tossed it away, and she saw a glint of olive-violet before he dragged her legs closer, causing her to drop to her back.
"F**king sh*t. Jephthah." She gasped, her eyes wide as she felt him give her a big lick down there, startling her, sending jolts of electric tingles up her spine to her brain, messing with her head.
"You taste so good Talia." He murmured again, and her toes curled, leg unwrapping from the back of his neck to fall at his sides, widening as she felt his hot breath and lips nuzzle her down there.
Without warning, he took her outer folds into his mouth before sucking on it like they were the most delicious ice cream he had ever tasted, holding her trashing legs in place by grabbing her thighs and pulling her close.
She moaned his name again, drawing her lower back from the floor, up to meet with his hot lips worshipping her down there.
His saliva and her wetness acted as an easy lubricant for his tongue as he slowly exposed her insides, thrusting it in, tasting another better part of her.
"Oh my... " She pursed her lips, suppressing a moan, before pushing her hips forward to meet with his hard thrust, feeling her wetness drip down to the ground where she lay.
Jephthah lapped his tongue against her, eating her up like she was an oasis, and he was a dying man in the dessert, forcing his tongue in, in many places, her moans turning him on, fueling him up to continue his sexual torment.
Soon, she reached climax, exploding in his face, a shaky sigh escaping her lips as she was brought down safely from cloud-9. Jephthah hungrily licked her clean of her release, gulping her up like a hungry dinner.
When he pulled away, he crawled up on her body, planting a kiss at the side of her neck before she weakly reached up to stroke his hair, down to the back of his neck before whispering against the nuzzle of his neck.
"You were great."
"Did I hurt you? I kind of lost control there." He had a sincere apologetic look in his eyes.
"Jephthah," She said in a whiny voice. "Please stop looking at me like that."
"Why?"
She sighed, leaning back into the ground.
"Because I’ll get h*rny again."
Chapter 159:
It was morning.
After the guys and girls took their turns bathing in the lake, and putting on the clothes which Luna Angela had ordered to be arranged for them when Hakura and Cardin arrived at the pack last night, they all set out for another journey to what might be a near-death experience or their last experience.
Everyone watched as Raiden, Barton and Koan packed up the spare supplies of food, clothes and weapons.
"Don’t you think these will weigh us down, if we’re going to find Alpha Joseph and his men? We need to cover much grounds today." Daniel pointed out.
Cardin caught Talia’s eyes amongst themselves, but quickly looked away before she could do anything. She’s been trying to talk to him since last night, but he was just too angry and embarrassed to listen to her.
"I can just store it in my spatial space." Hakura said, and everyone stared at her with a blank expression.
She sighed and exposed her palm, giving them a view of the swirling whirlpool portal on it.
"You can store all that in there?" John asked, and everyone beheld as she stuffed the entire bag inside with ease.
"Let’s start moving. We’re trying to cover more grounds today, right?" She announced, and they start moving forward, Nancy latched on to Daniel’s back, arms around his neck, legs curled around his waist like a koala.
Koan was making plans with Raiden, based on how they were going to infiltrate the enemy’s territory if they get a chance to enter the village of Foxtune.
*
"... And now... release it into the air." Sakuarr ordered, and Fiona parted her lips. She proudly watched as a ray of fire escaped her lips, pouring out in fumes, highlighting their faces in a glow of yellow.
"That’s Okay." Sakuarr excitedly dismissed her, and Fiona obediently stopped.
"I thought this was going to take days," The woman was clearly surprised. "It seems I was wrong."
"Does that mean... I’m ready?" Fiona asked.
The woman smirked, a crazy glint in her eyes before she said,
"I’ll be the judge of that. Let’s just see how much internal energy you can be able to use in just a battle."
With that, the woman rushed forward with inhumane speed, fisting her hand and thrusting it forward so unexpectedly that Fiona couldn’t defend herself and was thrown backwards.
The wind was knocked out of her as the metal gates around the training area broke her fall from behind. However, before she could peel off the gates down to the ground, her eyes widened, seeing a figure flying towards her in that similar inhuman speed again.
She grunted as Sakuarr hit her with so much force that they both flew out the gates, taking the metallic barrier with them.
Fiona huffed and puffed, already red in the face as she struggled to stand while Sakuarr floated above her in the air, her palms stuck together in a prayer stance, slowly parting, a small fireball growing between them, getting bigger as her hands parted further.
There was a sinister look on her face.
"We’ve trained non-stop all night till Moro, and you still are just a weakling, aren’t you?"
Without waiting for an answer, crazy laughter resounded in the place as she shot her the fireball, flying backwards at the effort of her blast.
Silence, as the woman waited for the black smoke to clear off, eyes squinting in concentration to find her opponent she had just blasted.
The next minute, something connected with the side of her face, and Sakuarr was sent flying back in the air, however Fiona flew after her, landing blows and punches at maximum speed, approximately five punches per second, her entire fists shielded with fire, something she learnt from Sakuarr.
Fire Barrier; Ability to punch something hard/spiky/coarse without feeling pain or getting tired. The fire fuels the external energy, causing you to move at maximum speed.
Soon, Sakuarr began to return the punches in the same fervor, dodging hers. This exchange and dodging of blows took place for several minutes, until Fiona flew back, raising her hand.
Her royal sword, consisting of a blade glinting under the sunlight and a blue gem at the hilt appeared in her hand.
Sakuarr had brusies all over her face, and her other eye was trying hard to open up due to the blood flowing freely from it, but her smile didn’t break, instead she laughed, raising her hand, a similar sword appearing in her hand with a red gem instead.
"That’s right sister! Just like old times. Come at me with everything you’ve got. I’ll go easy on you this time!" She laughed again, and Fiona rushed forward, the blade pointed sharply to ground, the hilt secured in her grip.
She raised the sword, twisting it over her head to land it across her neck, but Sakuarr countered her attack with ease.
A loud boom! was heard as their swords clashed against each other for the first time, and the force pulled some trees off their roots, sending them flying up in the air.
They stayed in that position for a while, breathing in each other’s faces, their gazes locked in.
"Grr!" Fiona grunted as she thrust her leg forward, kicking her backwards.
Just as Sakuarr lost her footing from the kick in the air, Fiona slashed her swords sideways again, burying her blade deep In Sakuarr’s waist.
Blood gushed out, flowing down like a stream of water as she yanked her sword out, staring mercilessly at the state Sakuarr was in.
"Tsk! Your blade wasn’t as sharp as I thought it’d be." Before her very eyes, Sakuarr healed immediately, slashing her swords sideways to cut Fiona down, but the young woman countered her move by moving her swords side ways, another loud boom resounding In the area as their swords clashed again.
If anyone standing below was a witness to their fight, they wouldn’t see two people fighting, but instead two specks of blue and red light hitting each other once in a while- evident to how fast they moved while trying to keep up with each other’s Increasing pace by the minute.
*
King Jacob stared boringly at the Kitsune who bowed before him.
"What are they up to now?"
"They’re still in training your majesty."
He nodded in approval. "That’s good. Well, since she’s busy for now, send the best warriors left to find the last Alpha for the ritual."
"What of the second heir and his mate, your graciousness?"
His brows twitched.
"They’re not your targets at the moment, and you shouldn’t hurt either of them. My daughter will personally get them, because she needs to share her internal energy with her brother... Just get the Alpha, and do not hurt the other two."
The Kitsune bowed.
"Yes, your majesty."
With that, she disappeared from his prescence, floating up before dashing out of the throne room like a missile.
*
"What’s that?" Someone amongst them asked, causing everyone to stare around aimlessly.
"Up there." Liliana pointed this time, and they all looked up to see specks of different colors moving in straight lines up ahead.
"Kitsunes!"
"They can clearly see us, but why aren’t they attacking?"
"Come on! Let’s follow them. They’re flying up ahead." Koan said, and began to lead them forward, every one of them running as quickly as possible, not straying or pausing to catch their breaths even.
*
Alpha Joseph was climbing out of the bunker they had been constructing in the forest all night, joining the pack warriors standing on guard above.
Alpha Henry was deep in the bunker, safe in the mean time, long enough to protect him from the clutches of the Kitsunes.
Alpha Joseph was just about heading out to inform the warriors on guard when he noticed the same speck of light up above, but unlike Daniel and his friends encounter, the speck of light got bigger and bigger, as if whatever was flying up ahead was moving straight to their grounds.
At the exact same time, Koan and his team burst out of the bushes, startling him, but they all simultaneously glanced up to see the Kitsunes inch closer to them from where they were visibly floating upwards.
There was an army of them, but unlike the last time, they were countable.
"We know the Alpha Is here. Simply hand him over, and we’ll make your death painless." Someone said, raising her hand, lightening crackling between her fingers.
Her counterparts smiled, canniness revealed as some of them raised their hands in the same manner, revealing their elemental powers. Fortunately, a fire elemental Kitsune wasn’t amongst them.
"You’ll have to go through us first." Alpha Joseph snorted, pulling out his revolver, loading it, thumb against the trigger.
Koan and Nancy exchanged glances.
’Not that I’m complaining, but is there a reason they don’t want us anymore?’ He mind linked her.
’I don’t know either.’ She replied, also confused about the whole ordeal, but whether or not they were taking them, she wasn’t going to let them hurt her father!
"Suit yourself then." With that, the Kitsune dashed forward, but a pack warrior who had shifted a minute ago, pounced on her, throwing her backwards, making way for another war as shredding noises, accompanied with bangs and clash of swords was heard.
In the midst of chaos, Hakura stepped back, scanning the area for the most vunerable Kitsune available. When she sees one thrown like a ragdoll against a tree, she vanished, appeared behind the Kitsunes vanished with her this time.
Chapter 160
As soon as Hakura materialized in another discreet part of the forest, the Kitsune hurriedly attacked her, sending rolling pebbles to her direction.
The witch side stepped them, stretching her hand to grab her neck, pushing her face forward in such a quick motion, that the Kitsune’s head was forced through a tree, her body hanging behind her.
"What’s you name?" Hakura asked, coming to stand right Infront the tree where her head was peeking out from.
The Kitsune ignored her, only focused on struggling out of the state she was in.
"W- what did you do to me?" She realized she couldn’t move.
Hakura smirked.
"It’s just a little spell I casted on you before I brought you here, I wonder why it’s working now," She didn’t let her finish before pulling out a crude looking dagger with a sharp blade. The Kitsune’s mouth dropped on seeing her own reflection staring back at her in the same expression on the shiny blade. "It has a limited time before it fades off and you can move again, but I recommend you don’t reconsider using that opportunity to avoid my questions, because you’ll rather much be more than dead when I’m done with you."
The witch smiled in contentment seeing the Kitsune shudder, still glancing at her own reflection on the dagger blade.
"What. Is. Your. Name."
She glared at her hard, especially when that smug smirk on her face didn’t falter.
"Emily."
"Okay. Good. We’re starting off somewhere. Here, drink this."
Emily stared warily at the Potion in her hand which she was already opening.
Last night when Hakura and Cardin were waiting for the food and clothes to be prepared for their departure back to the Forest, Hakura had sent some Omegas away who dutifully got her the necessary things needed to make the potions she had on her now.
Before Emily could even utter a word, the bottle was forced into her mouth, and her moan of declination was muffled, as it slid down her throat, coating her insides with the bitter tasting potion.
She hated it, but knew better than to spit it out when Hakura was standing over her with that dagger.
"What did you give to me!?" She demanded, not liking the look on Hakura’s face one single bit.
"If you tell the truth. I’ll know for sure, But if you lie," Emily shuddered as her face was raised up with the help of the dagger against her neck, tilting her chin upwards to meet with her eyes. "I’ll also know, because you’ll be glowing."
"Glowing?" She was devastated.
"A radiant blue color," Hakura replied, smiling, revealing her canniness. "For each lie you tell, you loose a part of your body until there’s nothing left of you," She stepped back and spun her dagger before catching it by the hilt again. "So be wise Ems."
Emily glared at her so hard, if it was possible, bullets would have gone right through Hakura’s forehead, leaving her as a bloodied corpse.
"First of all, why are you people here?"
"I don’t understand." She gruffly said.
"You guys have been living amongst yourselves and minding your own business for so many years that most witches and werewolves assumed you had gone extinct. But suddenly," Hakura approached her again, and Emily trembled slightly under her dark gaze. "You’re suddenly out, causing trouble amongst the witches."
"We were following the orders of the king."
"You killed so many witches. You ended their lives like it didn’t mean anything to you," Hakura forced herself not to cry, at least not Infront of this cruel being who would enjoy the scene of her breaking down Infront of her. "People lost their families and friends... an.. and loved ones. And what did you personally get out of everything huh? Didn’t you feel bad or remorseful after what you’ve done?"
"I- I did." The woman cried out, and Hakura’s brows parted as she began to glow a radiant blue color.
"You didn’t!!!" The witch growled, stabbing her finger alongside her words.
Emily screamed in pain and fury, watching her own thumb on the ground, wiggling as If struggling for its life.
Her eyes were wide with horror as Hakura slowly stepped on her own bleeding thumb until it stopped moving.
"We didn’t intend to kill so much people. But you guys were adamant about helping us, so we did what we had to do." Emily snapped.
"Helping us? What were we supposed to help you for?"
Emily kept silent for a while, debating within herself if she should talk or not.
"Do you want me to cut those pretty eyes of yours and hang them up in that tree before you. Start. Talking?!"
"Okay okay... we needed them to conjure a potion for the heirs."
"What type of potion?"
"The remote spell."
Hakura’s eyes widened in shock. She pulled out Koan’s necklace which her pocket had housed since when she pulled it from Koan’s neck.
"You mean... the spell which this necklace contains is a remote spell?"
Emily’s eyes widened on seeing...
"That’s the similar necklace the princess was wearing!" She blurted out before she could stop herself.
"This isn’t hers. It’s Koan’s."
"Who?"
Hakura’s brows twitched.
"Her brother."
"Well, how did you get it? It’s impossible to steal the highness’s necklace when it’s situated around his neck."
"The same way I brought you here without you realizing. I’m not princess’s of the witches for nothing."
And like that the bombshell was dropped, and Emily was left speechless for a few seconds, her unanswered question of why this little being’s aura was causing her head to bow every now and then.
It was because she wasn’t just a little being or a common witch to over look. She was a royalty. Princess amongst witches. They had killed the queen and her descendants, but how did this one get away?
She had to be the last specie of a royal pure breed witch.
"Why were the witches forced to make this," She raised the necklace. "thing."
"The King suspected that his children would not be in a hurry to just trust and wipe the entire werewolf specie as he wanted, so he made this. With this, he could control them to do what he wanted as he pleases. If you had let his highness wear that necklace for much longer, the potion would be absorbed into him."
"Which means, if I had taken the necklace after then, it wouldn’t mean anything."
"Nice of you to figure that one out for yourself." Emily smugly said with fake humor, and Hakura glared at her.
"First, your people kill Alpha Drake of Crimson moon’s pack, then you kill Alpha Justin of Moon Howler’s pack, and now you want Alpha Henry of Ruby Stone’s pack. Aside that, you need these three, but alive," She starts counting off with her finger. "The only female Alpha left in the werewolf territory and the two heirs of Foxtune, right?"
"So?"
"So far, you’ve gotten the other heir, and the other two is left asides the Alpha. Why are you guys not trying to get them?"
"We were ordered not to. The highness would get them herself."
"Princess Fiona, am I correct?"
"You. Are." She stiffly said, hating this witch more and more as the time passed. Once she got out of here, she would rip her neck out and watch her own blood pour out as she let her thumb bleed that way.
"Why must she be the one to get them?"
"Everything we’ve been doing is for the ritual. If we kill the last Alpha, she’ll get the last two needed. Her brother, and his mate. Once she does so, she would share her internal energy with him, and the necklace you’ve stolen won’t be of any use, because part of her internal energy is being fuelled by the remote spell already in her system."
"What will happen if the ritual is complete?"
"The King will be free again, and we both know what’s the fate of everyone asides his people when he is."
"He’s been cursed on that throne for so many years, how will he suddenly become powerful enough to wipe us all out?"
Emily suddenly turned mute again.
"Answer me!"
"He’ll have to mate with someone, and share her internal energy."
"Who?"
Emily looked reluctant to mention anything.
Hakura saw the uneasiness in her eyes. With her hand on the hilt of the dagger, she stabbed the other finger and Emily screamed.
"Are you ready to talk now?"
Emily only kept screaming.
The next second, Hakura slashed her dagger, and Emily’s left hand fell to the ground.
"I’ll talk!!! I’ll talk!!!" The Kitsune screamed out loud, and Hakura stepped back, wiping the blood stained dagger against Emily’s hair, waiting for her to catch her breath from screaming so much.
The blood pooling at her feet did nothing to falter her emotions as she waited.
"The King is the only male specie left of the Kitsunes, and the queen was the only royal pure breeded ruler of Kitsune."
"So?"
Emily sighed.
"If he’s going to have to mate with someone, it had to be a royal pure breed Kitsune. A female ruler of Kitsune."
"But the queen is dead, and the only person left is.... "
Her dagger dropped the ground, and she stared at the Kitsune in horror.
