Chapter 1241 - – Cruel Sacrifice

Gravis only smiled bitterly.

Arc had thrown him into a den of hungry lions.

Fighting the lions was impossible.

Gravis had to find another way out.

However, Gravis understood why Arc had done that.

By staying unknown, no super-powerful Sect would find him, which resulted in Gravis being rather safe.

However, if only one powerful Sect suddenly noticed him, Gravis' life would be in their hand.

Gravis couldn't fight Divine Gods. If one Divine God found him, they would force him to join their Sect or kill him.

Gravis wouldn't have any control over his life anymore.

However, if several Sects noticed Gravis at the same time, they would essentially counter each other.

Gravis had known that, but he didn't want to enter the public's eyes.

Why?

Because it would change his entire life.

The other Sects would try to kill him or weaken him with everything they could do.

This included threatening him with his friends and family.

Gravis knew that if he entered the public's eyes, it would be tough to meet his friends again for the time being.

The Sects Gravis didn't join would search for his friends and family and would threaten Gravis with them.

If Gravis didn't want his friends to die, he would need to do whatever that Sect told him. Even more, the Sect Gravis joined would supervise him strictly, and they would notice it.

Then, a major conflict would break out.

Gravis was essentially an insanely powerful weapon to the Sects.

He was like a legendary sword with infinite power, and every Sect wanted to have that sword.

The Sect would keep Gravis suppressed in their Sect, not wanting the other Sect to take him.

The other Sect would threaten him more and would probably kill one of his friends every couple of years to pressure Gravis.

During that time, Gravis would obviously be extremely angry with the Sect that he had joined since they didn't allow him to save his friend.

At that point, this Sect would realize that Gravis wouldn't help them in the future anymore.

So, Gravis had transformed from an asset into a danger.

The Sect Gravis had joined would kill Gravis before he could become powerful enough to threaten them, and the other Sect would kill the remainder of Gravis' friends.

This was how it would go down.

Gravis would have no control over his life anymore, and his friends would also die.

Now, what if Gravis told the Sect he was joining about his friends and families, and they quickly escorted them to their headquarters to protect them?

First of all, Gravis' friends still wouldn't be safe. Peak Sects had many methods and abilities to threaten Gravis' friends.

Second, Gravis would be forced to remain in the Sect. After all, the Sect essentially had control over the lives of Gravis' loved ones.

And as soon as Gravis became quite powerful, he would only be allowed to meet his friends from time to time under strict supervision.

After all, the Sect would know that they had essentially softly threatened Gravis with his loved ones, and if Gravis ever managed to get his loved ones away to safety, he would attack them.

Additionally, when Gravis became a threat to the Sect Master, the Ancestor would probably kill Gravis.

By that time, Gravis would have gained the Sect many resources, and he would have long proven his worth. At that point, the investment had already paid its dividends.

Gravis had long thought about what would happen if the Peak Sects found him, and this was what he had come up with.

Essentially, all paths ended in tragedy.

Gravis would die before he could become a Heaven's Magnate, and his friends would also die.

There was only a single way out of this situation.

He had to make sure that the powerful Sects didn't find out anything about Gravis' loved ones.

Additionally, Gravis couldn't allow himself to enter any Sect.

If he entered one, Gravis would never get any opportunity to flee.

Several Divine Gods would overlook him all the time, and they would always question their perception.

If Gravis did anything they didn't like, he would be violently suppressed and pulled back into the Peak Sect.

Then, they would imprison him until he decided to comply. He wouldn't even gain access to any Law Comprehension Areas.

In essence, they would force Gravis to slowly wait till his longevity ended.

Even more, if they stopped absolutely everyone from coming close to Gravis when it was time for Gravis' tribulation, Gravis would transform into dust.

If someone didn't go to a place where a tribulation could take place, they would simply be killed by Heaven. This was to stop people from trying to extend their life without going through their tribulation.

Sure, Orthar might give Gravis a pass on that, but that wouldn't be better.

Gravis would be isolated forever, and he wouldn't see his loved ones again until they either became more powerful than the Peak Sect keeping Gravis or until they died.

Gravis would be isolated for tens of millions of years without being able to grow more powerful.

Unless he complied with the Sect's orders.

If he complied with the Sect's orders, he would be allowed to become more powerful.

Yet, the more powerful he grew, the closer he would get to the point where the Sect would just kill him since he was slowly becoming a danger.

Not complying meant eternity in endless nothingness.

Complying meant walking towards death.

So, there was only one option.

First, Gravis' relationships had to remain a secret to all seven Peak Sects.

Second, Gravis couldn't enter any Sect.

There was no other choice.

Orthar and the Opposer wouldn't get involved.

The Opposer only helped Gravis against forces outside the normal Cultivation world, which were the Heaven's Magnates and Orthar.

He wouldn't get involved as long as only Peak Sects targeted Gravis.

Gravis was powerful enough and old enough to know how the Cultivation world worked. He had to get through the Cultivation world on his own.

If Gravis couldn't even survive this, how could he possibly become a Heaven Breaker in the future?

The other representatives of the Peak Sects noticed that the aura of the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect had become a bit unstable, and their Spirit Senses quickly followed the Sect Master's senses.

That's when they noticed Gravis.

In just one moment, over 15 Spirit Senses of Divine Gods had focused on Gravis, and they had all seen through his illusion.

The Ancestral Gods hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary, but the Divine Gods had fully focused on Gravis.

At the moment, no one had contacted Gravis, but that was because they were simply too shocked to react properly.

Gravis knew that he would soon be bombarded with sound transmissions.

"What do we do now?" Mortis asked Gravis via voice transmission.

Gravis took a deep breath.

The Eternal Fire Sect went through his mind.

'Lina,' Gravis thought with guilt.

'I'm sorry.'

'I can't risk it.'

'At the moment, only the Eternal Fire Sect knows about my relationship with my friends, and I know that you won't go against the Peak Sects.'

'It's not your fault,'

'I'm sorry, but I have no other choice.'

Gravis suddenly summoned an emblem and crushed it with the Stygian Element.

A vast distance away, Orpheus looked at the emblem that had just broken with furrowed brows.

"I'll support you, little brother," Orpheus said to himself.

Then, Orpheus took out billions of God Stones and absorbed them with incredible speed.

In a couple of minutes, he would reach the seventh level of the Ancestral God Realm.

And then, he would massacre the entire Eternal Fire Sect.

He would inform Manuel and everything about what had happened, and they would know what to do.

Gravis had talked at length with them.

They would kill their entire faction until only the ones they trusted remained.

Gravis had allowed them to become so powerful, and they would repay him.

In an hour, the Eternal Fire Sect would cease to exist, and all the damage regarding Karmic Luck would hit Gravis.

However, Gravis had gathered so much Karmic Luck during his previous incident with the Sin Aura was more than the damage he would receive.

Gravis wouldn't condense another Sin Aura.

Gravis looked at the oblivious Vice-Sect Master of the Eternal Fire Sect beside him.

He had no idea that the person beside him had just ordered the execution of the entire Eternal Fire Sect.

He wasn't even looking at Gravis.

He hadn't noticed that the Divine Gods were focusing on Gravis.

Gravis looked at the Vice-Sect Master of the Eternal Fire Sect beside him with cold conviction.

Then, Gravis summoned his saber.

'I'm sorry.'

Chapter 1242 - – Chaos

Gravis took out his saber.

'It's my fault. I was the reckless one, and I believed that I wouldn't be noticed. However, I have been noticed.'

'You haven't done anything against me. Your Sect has given a home to my friends and me, and you don't deserve this.'

'However, I can't risk it. My friends are too important to me.'

'I've committed the mistake, and you have to pay the price.'

'I'm sorry.'

It definitely wasn't easy for Gravis, but he couldn't risk it.

He couldn't trust the Eternal Fire Sect.

Gravis knew that he wasn't any better than the Peak Sects.

The Peak Sects saw Gravis as a potential danger, even though Gravis had never done anything to them.

Now, Gravis saw the Eternal Fire Sect as a danger, even though his relationship with them was amicable.

Gravis knew that he was betraying them.

He was a traitor.

However, it was a necessity.

Indecisiveness would only put everything he loved into danger.

Today, he would need to kill innocent people.

Gravis felt a dark feeling of guilt and self-loathing inside of himself.

He hated himself for doing it, but he knew that he had to do it.

There was no other way.

BANG!

Time around the Vice-Sect Master of the Eternal Fire Sect broke into pieces.

The eyes of the Vice-Sect Master opened wide in shock.

BANG!

A Lightning Crescent hit the unprepared Vice-Sect Master.

If he had been ready for a battle, Gravis couldn't have killed him this easily, but the Vice-Sect Master hadn't even been prepared for a battle.

He couldn't even react.

The eyes of the audience opened wide in shock.

Someone in the audience had just been killed!

The Ancestral Gods quickly jumped into the distance warily.

The Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect narrowed his eyes, and he quickly turned back time.

However, his eyes widened when he realized that the person beside Gravis had vanished from time itself.

He couldn't see who had been beside Gravis just a moment ago!

Additionally, no one had paid any attention to the person besides Gravis.

No one knew who had been beside Gravis just now.

And now, they couldn't even investigate this incident with the True Law of Time.

The Divine Gods immediately knew what this meant.

This level one Ancestral God knew the True Law of Time!

That was the only way to obscure the flow of time to such a degree!

The Divine Gods were extremely experienced and very intelligent. They immediately knew why Gravis had done such a thing.

The person beside Gravis had obviously known things about Gravis that Gravis couldn't allow to be known by anyone.

'He has friends and a family!' they all thought simultaneously.

Then, pure chaos broke out!

WHOOOM!

A gigantic Formation Array around the Lightning Peak Sect activated.

Space, time, and everything else were isolated.

Teleportation became impossible.

Manipulation of time became impossible.

Every single second, this Formation Array burned a billion God Stones!

It was the strongest Formation Array inside the Lightning Peak Sect!

The representatives of the other Peak Sects had just taken out some emblems, but these emblems quickly lost their effects.

These emblems would have allowed them to contact their Sect. They had to get backup, and they had to quickly investigate Gravis' background.

They all knew how valuable Gravis was, and they couldn't allow the other Sects to grab him!

Yet, the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect had immediately activated the strongest Formation Array to isolate everything.

They all knew that Gravis was a future Heaven's Magnate.

They couldn't allow him to enter any rivaling Peak Sect!

The Vice-Sect Master of the Lost Wind Sect also acted immediately.

BOOOOOM!

An apocalyptic explosion of darkness occurred as he unleashed one of his strongest attacks at the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect.

Just before this had happened, a child with white hair had appeared above the Lightning Peak Sect.

It was the Heaven's Child, the strongest Heaven's Magnate.

He was the only person in The Heaven Company that could protect the surroundings from battles between level nine Divine Gods.

Because of his arrival, the explosion didn't injure or damage anything.

The Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect had taken out his spear, and he had blocked the attack.

However, he had still received some injuries, which quickly consumed a lot of Life Energy.

Vice-Sect Masters of Peak Sects also were level nine Divine Gods.

One's Realm wasn't important anymore at such powers since nearly everyone was a Peak Divine God. At that point, it was only relevant how many level nine and level ten Laws one knew.

The Ancestors of the Peak Sect all knew at least two level ten Laws, and they also knew several other level nine Laws of the other major categories.

Meanwhile, the average Sect Master of a Peak Sect knew a bit less than two level ten Laws. Some of them knew two level ten Laws, but most of them only knew one of them with several level nine Laws.

Silver Seer, the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect, knew one level ten Law and a couple of level nine Laws.

In essence, he was average in terms of power when it came to Sect Masters of Peak Sects.

What about Vice-Sect Masters?

The most powerful Vice-Sect Masters knew one level ten Law, while the weaker ones only knew several level nine Laws.

The Vice-Sect Master of the Lost Wind Sect knew one level ten Law, which he had comprehended only recently.

He was definitely weaker than the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect, but he was powerful enough to resist him for quite a while.

None of the representatives spoke.

They all knew that talking would be useless now.

They all wanted Gravis in their Sect, and they had to get him at any price.

They knew that any Sect that would gain Gravis would severely sour their relationships with the other ones.

There was no reason to speak politely and diplomatically.

The Ancestral Gods fell into a panic, and they all fled.

However, the Formation Array stopped them in their tracks.

They couldn't leave!

Silver Seer quickly attacked the Vice-Sect Master of the Lost Wind Sect, who tried to defend himself.

BANG!

Silver Seer's attack missed. Rage had suddenly filled him, which had resulted in him losing control over his attack.

Silver Seer glared at the representative of the Mortal Sect, who only smirked as she arrived beside the Vice-Sect Master of the Lost Wind Sect.

Silver Seer only narrowed his eyes as he attacked again.

Heavenly Lightning exploded around him as he attacked the two of them with several Lightning Spears.

WHOOM!

Suddenly, the black and white elder appeared between the two sides. Heavenly Purity and Heavenly Stygian fused as they warped the surrounding space.

The trajectory of the Lightning Spears changed as they aimlessly flew into the distance.

The representative of the Twilight Council had stepped between the two sides, stopping the fight.

The Twilight Council was the only neutral party among the Peak Sects, and they had to be respected.

If one ignored the Ancestors, the Twilight Council was the second most powerful Peak Sect.

Gravis' eyes opened.

BOOOOOOM!

Suddenly, the Lightning Spears turned around, and they exploded on the back of the representative of the Twilight Council.

Time seemingly stopped.

H-How!?

The will on the Lightning Spears had already been destroyed!

It was impossible to control them remotely!

The representative of the Twilight Council hadn't paid attention to these Lightning Spears, which was how they had managed to hit him.

Everyone looked with shock at Silver Seer.

How did he do that!?

Yet, Silver Seer looked just as shocked.

What?

He didn't want to attack the representative of the Twilight Council!

Everyone thought that it had been the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect. After all, it had been his attack.

Except for one person.

Heaven's Child looked with narrowed eyes at Gravis.

Gravis had interfered in the fight, and according to the rules, he was allowed to kill Gravis now.

However, he remembered the words the Opposer had spoken to him.

In the past, the Heaven's Child would have simply killed Gravis.

After all, he had acted according to the rules.

What could the Opposer do?

Yet, he remembered that someone more powerful than him had thought the same thing about 1.5 million years ago.

Heaven had also said that it played according to the rules.

But that hadn't stopped the Opposer.

The Opposer didn't care about rules.

Because of that, Heaven's Child ignored Gravis.

He didn't want to die.

Meanwhile, Gravis only looked at the members of the Peak Sects.

'I have to make this situation as muddy and unforeseeable as possible!'

Chapter 1243 - – Star Lightning

Silence.

They had expected to fight, but they hadn't expected that the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council would die!

Yes, the attack had killed the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council.

The third strongest Cultivator of the second most powerful Peak Sect had just died.

Space and time were isolated right now, but the Twilight Council had its methods. They probably had already noticed that their Vice-Sect Master had died.

Everyone present knew that the Sect Master and Ancestor of the Twilight Council would appear quickly.

Silver Seer knew exactly what would happen.

He knew that he hadn't been the one that had killed the Vice-Sect Master, but he also knew that no one would believe him.

Everyone would think that he had killed him, and no matter what he said, it would be impossible to convince them.

He had been framed!

Silver Seer's eyes immediately went to the audience.

Then, his eyes filled with Lightning.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Thousands of bolts of Heavenly Lightning exploded from the sky, and the Heavenly Lightning incinerated all the watching Ancestral Gods.

Silver Seer was the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect, and his actions were the actions of the Lightning Peak Sect. Because of this act, the Lightning Peak Sect had lost nearly 5% of their Karmic Luck.

The other representatives only looked at Silver Seer with narrowed eyes.

They didn't care about the Ancestral Gods, but they cared about why Silver Seer had done so.

He knew that he couldn't keep his actions a secret.

He wanted to kill all witnesses!

The representatives of the Lost Wind Sect, the Eternity Sect, and the Mortal Sect knew that they were in danger now.

These three Sects represented one side of the Peak Sects.

Silver Seer couldn't trust them, which meant that he would kill them.

He had angered the Twilight Council, which was troublesome.

He had to kill them and then frame them!

It would spell an all-out war, but this was the best course of action.

If Silver Seer did nothing, the Twilight Council would join these three Sects, and with the increased power of their side, they would start a war anyway.

The war had already started, and Silver Seer knew it.

He had to weaken his enemies right now!

The only people Silver Seer hadn't killed were the contestants and Gravis. Six contestants were isolated in a separate space, and they hadn't witnessed anything like this. One of them had suddenly left, and Exar, who had stood in the arena, had already been taken away by a Divine God of the Lightning Peak Sect.

Exar would join the Lightning Peak Sect if he wanted to or not.

What did Exar think of that development?

He didn't mind it.

He had wanted to join a Peak Sect anyway. It was nice to stay with Manuel's faction, but Exar had never been truly close with them.

Exar was more interested in his own power, and he had made no secret of it.

Everyone knew that if Exar had the chance to further his own power, he would leave.

Aris was similar, but for different reasons.

Aris wanted to join a Peak Sect to support his friends with the resources he could gain.

However, Aris was in the isolated space with the other contestants right now.

They didn't even know that nearly everyone near the arena had died.

They hadn't noticed anything, and they were only confused about the fact that the next fight hadn't started yet.

So, at this moment, only eight living beings remained in the vicinity of the arena.

The six representatives of the Peak Sects, Gravis, and the hidden Mortis.

The representative of the Eternity Sect joined the representatives of the Lost Wind Sect and the Mortal Sect.

They were in the same boat now, and they had to survive until the forces of the Twilight Council arrived.

Silver Seer readied his spear, and his body exploded with lightning.

Then, he charged forward.

BOOOOOM!

The surroundings exploded again as Silver Seer began an aggressive offensive.

However, three Vice-Sect Masters were nearly impossible for him to beat.

The three of them worked together to block the attack, and then, the representative of the Lost Wind Sect moved forward with a thin, long rapier.

The Sect Master couldn't evade.

However, he didn't need to.

BANG!

A new person with white hair appeared, who blocked the attack.

This was the Lightning Peak Sect, which meant that the Silver Seer wasn't alone.

The Vice-Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect had been called, and he had involved himself in the fight.

Now, it was two versus three.

The Vice-Sect Master stopped beside his Sect Master as he looked coldly at his three opponents.

Silver Seer quickly readied another attack.

BANG!

Silver Seer's attack was interrupted as he suddenly had to block an attack.

Silver Seer's rage exploded.

"Star Lightning!" he shouted with endless rage.

His Vice-Sect Master, Star Lightning, grinned maliciously.

"I've never supported your sudden takeover of the Lightning Peak Sect!" he said. "You don't embody our philosophy, and you are an embarrassment as a Sect Master!"

Star Lightning moved back and stopped beside the representative of the Lost Wind Sect.

The representatives of the Eternity and Mortal Sect looked at him warily, but the representative of the Lost Wind Sect calmed them down. "He's one of us," he said.

Silver Seer glared with hatred at Star Lightning. "You traitor! So, you were the reason why the Lost Wind Sect kept winning against us!"

"Yeah, so what?" Star Lightning said with disdain. "If you weren't such an embarrassment, I wouldn't have joined the Lost Wind Sect. You implemented idiotic policies, and you spent our wealth on pointless stuff. You are the reason why the Lightning Peak Sect had degenerated to such a state."

"I am the reason!?" Silver Seer shouted. "You were the one that gave the Lost Wind Sect valuable intel! How am I supposed to run a Sect when my closest and most powerful confidant is a traitor!?"

"It doesn't matter anyway," Star Lightning said. "We only have to wait for the Twilight Council to arrive. We don't even need to kill you. We just have to wait."

"Realize that it's over. Why do you think the Heavenly Divine Sect and the True Life Sect didn't get involved? They know that you can't survive, and they don't want to die with you."

The Vice-Sect Master of the True Life Sect only watched with interest.

The expression of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect didn't change.

"It's over, Silver Seer," Star Lightning said with a sneer. "It's four against one-"

"Three against one."

The eyes of Star Lightning opened wide in shock.

Then, his body fell into two halves.

He was dead.

Everyone looked at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect as he put one of his swords back onto his back.

He had been the one that had spoken, and he had also been the one that had killed Star Lightning.

The representatives of the Lost Wind Sect, the Mortal Sect, and the Eternity Sect looked with fear at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

If he got involved, they would undoubtedly die.

The Twilight Council was the second most powerful Sect if one ignored the Ancestors.

And the Heavenly Divine Sect was the most powerful.

Why?

Because their Sect Master was as powerful as an above-average Ancestor.

He knew two level ten Laws, and he was very close to comprehending his third one.

Silence reigned as everyone looked at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

The Sect Master only looked evenly at everyone else.

"I hate traitors."

Chapter 1244 - – Battle Of Control

Everyone looked with shock at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

Would he get involved?

Yet, even after several seconds, he didn't make any other moves.

Apparently, he had only been angry at the traitor.

He wouldn't get involved.

The Vice-Sect Master of the True Life also only watched everything with intrigue. It was like she was simply watching an entertaining show.

Silver Seer looked at his three enemies, and he knew that he couldn't win alone.

He could take on two, but not three.

Contacting Zero's Essence wouldn't help him. She would only get involved when other Ancestors got involved.

It was Silver Seer's job to deal with everyone else.

During all of this, what was Gravis doing?

He was waiting.

At the moment, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect and the Vice-Sect Master of the True Life Sect were watching him.

The others didn't have any attention to spare due to the strained situation, but these two still watched him.

If Gravis tried to escape now, these two would stop him.

Additionally, the most powerful Formation Array of the Lightning Peak Sect had been activated.

Gravis could get through the normal Formation Array, but this Formation Array blocked even his True Law of Freedom.

It was simply too powerful.

There were plenty of Peak Divine Gods that knew the Law of Freedom, and the Peak Sects had long developed a Formation Array that could block that Law.

They simply didn't keep it active all the time due to its insane cost.

Gravis had muddied the waters even more by controlling Silver Seer's Heavenly Lightning, and it had given him a glimpse of hope.

When the Twilight Council arrived, Silver Seer had to deactivate the Formation Array.

At that point, Gravis only had to escape the notice of the Divine Gods.

But how?

His Law of Perceived Reality didn't work since they all already knew that he had it.

This meant that he would be noticed if he made a move.

Gravis looked at the Vice-Sect Master of the True Life Sect.

She seemed like she didn't care about anything that was going on, but Gravis felt like this was only a show.

Gravis suspected that she was only waiting for Silver Seer to promise her enough resources.

She knew that Silver Seer needed help right now, and she would only help if he offered enough resources.

Gravis also looked at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

Gravis felt a mixture of emotions coming from the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

Anger, disgust, pity, and nostalgia.

If Gravis hadn't known so many different Emotional Laws and Laws of Perceived Reality, he wouldn't have been able to feel the Sect Master's emotions to such a degree.

Gravis could feel these emotions, but he wasn't sure why the Sect Master was feeling them.

However, Gravis knew that this had something to do with him.

Gravis guessed that the anger and disgust were there because of his past actions.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect had said that he hated traitors, and he had seen what Gravis had done.

Gravis had killed the person sitting beside him without any warning.

He knew that Gravis had betrayed someone, which was why he was angry and disgusted at him.

However, Gravis had no idea why the Sect Master felt pity and nostalgia while looking at Gravis.

"What do you want?" Silver Seer transmitted to the Vice-Sect Master of the True Life Sect.

"Oh? Why are you talking to me? Don't you have something to do?" she answered with faked surprise.

"Skip the bullshit. I know that you are only waiting until I give you a fitting offer for your help. So, what do you want?" he asked again.

"Well, then go ahead and give me a fitting offer," she answered innocently.

Silver Seer gritted his teeth.

He didn't have time for this!

The Twilight Council could arrive any minute now!

"15 level nine Law Comprehension Life Fruits of your choosing," he transmitted to her.

The eyes of the Vice-Sect Master of the True Life Sect opened wide in pleasant surprise.

That was far more than she had expected!

She grinned happily and took out her bow as she took aim at the representative of the Mortal Sect.

"Deal!" she said.

Then, another battle broke out.

The representative of the Mortal Sect was now busy with the representative of the True Life Sect.

The representative of the Mortal Sect had been the most troublesome person for Silver Seer since she could interfere with his attacks.

With her out of the picture, he could fully unleash his powers.

The Heaven's Child only looked on evenly. Her addition didn't make a difference to him. The entire world could get into a fight, and as long as no other Heaven's Magnate fought, he could easily control the damage.

He knew the Law of the Cosmos, and as Heaven's representative, he had a rudimentary control over Orthar's Cosmos. He had access to the Cosmos' resources while doing his job, making his power and control essentially infinite.

Now, five people were fighting, and only the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect kept paying attention to Gravis.

Gravis' eyes narrowed as he became nervous.

The situation was very delicate, and Gravis had to keep it in this state.

If either side won, Gravis couldn't escape anymore.

He had to keep them fighting until the Twilight Council arrived.

Peak Divine Gods moved with incredible speeds, and Gravis could barely keep his attention on the fight.

He couldn't discern anything!

In less than a second, an eternity of battle had already passed.

Gravis couldn't rely on his Spirit Sense or eyes.

So, he closed his eyes and used the True Law of Control to look at the world.

At that moment, Gravis felt two sides trying to wrestle control to their side.

It was like Gravis saw two streams of water with different colors clash with each other.

He couldn't allow the current of either side to overwhelm the other side.

There was one part of one current that Gravis could slightly control to manipulate the overall flow.

That was Silver Seer and his Heavenly Lightning.

Gravis completely shut off all his senses and only concentrated on the currents.

In an instant, one part of the current suddenly moved forward.

Gravis took hold of the small part he could control and made it attack the advancing part.

"Watch what you're attacking!" the representative of the True Life Sect suddenly shouted with boundless anger.

Silver Seer had nearly killed her just now!

"You think I wanted that to happen!?" Silver Seer shouted back aggressively. "It's obviously that whore from the Mortal Sect controlling my attack! Keep her under control!"

"You've got time to be distracted?" the representative of the Lost Wind Sect said with disdain as he attacked.

Gravis felt the opposing current clash forward, suppressing the side he could control.

Gravis quickly took hold of the part he could control and moved it slightly to the side to attack from the flank.

"Argh!" Silver Seer and the representative of the Lost Wind Sect shouted in anger and pain at the same time. They had both been severely injured just now.

"Do you want to kill me!?" the representative of the Lost Wind Sect shouted aggressively at the representative of the Mortal Sect.

"That wasn't me!" she shouted in rage.

Gravis felt the representative of the True Life Sect push forward, and Gravis moved the part of the current he could control against her.

However, the part he could control suddenly resisted fiercely, and Gravis couldn't wrestle control away from it.

"I have ways to counter your control, whore!" Silver Seer shouted as he felt someone trying to control his lightning.

Gravis fell into a panic as he felt the representative of the True Life Sect charge forward. If he didn't do something, she would win!

Gravis gritted his teeth as he looked away from the two streams.

Gravis quickly focused on an external power and moved it towards the advancing part of the current.

Suddenly, waves exploded from the advancing current, destroying its power.

"What!?" the representative of the True Life Sect shouted in shock. "Why is the Law Comprehension Area for the Heavenly Lightning suddenly attacking me!?"

"I don't know! It must be that whore!" Silver Seer answered.

The Heavenly Lightning didn't injure her, but her offense had been stopped, giving the representative of the Mortal Sect some time to regain control.

For the next few seconds, Gravis intervened over 20 times to keep the fight going.

The combatants had realized that something fishy was going on.

Too many weird things had happened during the fight.

Additionally, Silver Seer and the Vice-Sect Master of the True Life Sect became nervous.

They had to end it now!

Gravis felt the two strengthen their offense in exchange for defense.

Gravis' eyes shone with lightning.

WHOOOOM!

The entire Law Comprehension Area of Heavenly Lightning suddenly moved at the Sect Master of the Lightning Peak Sect.

"What!?" everyone shouted in shock.

BOOOOM!

The Heavenly Lightning hit, but Silver Seer wasn't injured. He was too powerful to be injured by such a Law Comprehension Area.

However, his offense had been stopped.

But that wasn't the end.

SSSSSHHHHH!

With the Heavenly Lightning gone, the Heavenly Wind had no more resistance.

It swept throughout the Lightning Peak Sect, throwing everything into disarray.

Formation Arrays were destroyed, as some buildings were turned into rubble.

Ancestral Gods died in droves, and the Heavenly Wind also reached the arena.

Gravis looked with narrowed eyes at the approaching Heavenly Wind.

He would also die if he got hit.

WHOOOM!

However, a shield appeared around Gravis, just as he had expected.

Gravis glanced at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect, who only looked back evenly.

He had been the one that had protected Gravis.

Gravis knew that the Sect Masters wouldn't let him die.

The gigantic mountain in the middle of the Lightning Peak Sect was destroyed by the Heavenly Wind, just like the majority of the Lightning Peak Sect.

Silver Seer looked with shock as the Heavenly Wind was destroying his Sect.

Why?

How had this all happened!?

Why had this all happened!?

BANG!

And then, Silver Seer felt a powerful force attack his Formation Array.

The Twilight Council was here!

Silver Seer gritted his teeth as the entire situation went out of control.

He couldn't pay attention to anything.

He wasn't made to control all of this!

He was a freedom guy, not a control guy!

However, there was one thing he knew he had to do.

Silver Seer deactivated the Formation Array to let the Twilight Council in.

If he stopped them, he could never defend himself!

Yet, he also continued attacking them.

"Just wait until the Twilight Council is here! Your manipulation of my attack will be brought to light, whore!" Silver Seer aggressively shouted at the representative of the Mortal Sect.

"What pointless accusations!" she shouted back with ridicule.

When Gravis felt the Formation Array vanish, he opened his eyes as conviction entered them.

Then, Gravis' eyes met the eyes of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

He was still paying attention.

Chapter 1245 - – Zero Blaze

Gravis' mind was going wild.

This was the moment!

If he failed, the remainder of his life would become a horrible nightmare.

If he succeeded, his life would still be worse than before, but he would have a chance to recover and achieve his goal.

At the moment, the five representatives were still fighting as the Twilight Council was close to appearing.

They had to keep the image of being a good and just person going. They were all working to keep the others here until the Twilight Council would arrive.

SHING!

Two people arrived close to the clash. Just like the dead Vice-Sect Master, these two people had half-black and half-white hair.

At this very moment, Gravis looked into the eyes of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

From the very beginning, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect hadn't moved once, except for the time he had killed the traitor.

While everyone else had gone crazy as soon as they noticed Gravis, he had just acted like nothing had happened.

Gravis was unsure what the Sect Master was thinking, but Gravis had to act now!

"I can't allow them to threaten my friends and family!" Gravis transmitted to the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect while using the Law of Honesty.

Gravis put his everything into these words. He knew that he had betrayed the Eternal Fire Sect, but there was simply no better alternative.

As long as the Eternal Fire Sect still existed, Gravis' friends and family weren't safe.

When Gravis transmitted these words, he immediately teleported away and charged into the distance.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect followed Gravis with his perception.

Yet, an instant later, he looked away.

He didn't say a word, and he didn't look at Gravis anymore.

With every instant of not being stopped, Gravis felt more hopeful but also more nervous.

He now had an actual shot in leaving!

Gravis broke through the Formation Array, which didn't stop him since it had just been deactivated.

Then, Gravis transformed into lightning as he entered the domain of the wild Zero Blaze.

At the same time, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect fell into memories.

Images of him killing people of his own Sect to protect himself shot through his mind.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect abhorred traitors for exactly this reason. He had once betrayed his Sect to save his own life, and he had hated himself for that action.

He had been ridden with guilt, and he had regretted his actions dearly.

Sadly, it was impossible to make something that had happened unhappen.

He had noticed the difference in intent behind Gravis' actions and Star Lightning's actions.

Gravis' actions and feelings couldn't escape the eyes of such an experienced and powerful Cultivator, especially when he already knew a lot of True Emotional Laws.

Star Lightning's actions had hidden deep anger, resentment, and contempt.

In comparison, Gravis' actions had been filled with cold conviction, logic, and regret.

One was done out of desire, while another was done out of necessity.

It was the same action but with a different underlying reason.

So, even though the Sect Master hated traitors, he didn't stop Gravis.

Gravis' actions were the same as his actions in the past.

However, he also wouldn't help Gravis. After all, Gravis was still a traitor, and he disliked traitors.

He would simply watch on and not interfere.

Meanwhile, outside the Sect, Gravis was fighting against the Zero Blaze.

There seemingly were infinite snowflakes, and as soon as they touched something that wasn't Zero Blaze, they exploded with the power of a fully powered attack of a level nine Ancestral God.

If Gravis got hit by even one, he would be reduced to dust!

That was why Gravis had transformed into lightning. His normal body was too big and too cumbersome. He couldn't possibly avoid all the snow.

However, as lightning, Gravis was essentially only made of thin beams. On top of that, Void Lightning was essentially Energy, and it didn't have any kind of offensive power.

Gravis couldn't absorb the Zero Blaze, but Void Lightning also wouldn't trigger them. The Zero Blaze treated Gravis' Void Lightning as part of the atmosphere.

Gravis still had to be careful since he needed to use actual Energy to move forward, which required parts of his body to create force. That could trigger the Zero Blaze.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect had been shocked when he had noticed that Gravis could transform into an unknown kind of lightning.

He had never seen anything like it.

It was quite hard to associate this bolt of lightning with a Cultivator, and if someone didn't know that Gravis could be a bolt of lightning, they would simply overlook it.

However, there was one problem.

The Zero Blaze reacted to any kind of Law that was activated near it, and it would create a violent series of explosions if it senses a Law.

Heavenly Lightning? Boom!

Blaze? Boom!

Space warping? Boom!

Teleportation? Boom!

And of course, that included…

Manipulating Reality? Boom!

Gravis couldn't use his Law of Perceived Reality while being surrounded by Zero Blaze. Because of that, he couldn't even hide his lightning.

The storm of Zero Blaze was a defensive barrier for the Lightning Peak Sect, and it certainly made it difficult to pass it.

Only two kinds of people could pass through it, the ones that knew the Law of Zero Blaze and Divine Gods.

This storm of Zero Blaze acted as a powerful filter for any potential spy or enemy.

At the moment, the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect was uncertain if Gravis could escape or not.

However, if he had to bet, he would place his money on no.

This area belonged to the Lightning Peak Sect, and they had their ways to comb their defensive storm of Zero Blaze.

If the area were smaller, Gravis could probably escape, but it wasn't.

Mortis had taken eight months to get through it, and Mortis had been moving faster than Gravis in his intangible state.

At Gravis' current speed, he would probably need two entire years to get through everything. If he could teleport, it would only take three days or so, but neither Mortis nor Gravis could teleport in here, slowing them down severely.

Gravis wasn't even close to being safe, and he wouldn't be for another two years.

Now, everything depended on how the search for him would go.

However, Gravis wasn't the only one in danger right now.

In the last couple of seconds, the atmosphere of the Lightning Peak Sect had changed.

Silver Seer and the representative of the True Life Sect stood at one side.

The representatives of the Lost Wood Sect, the Mortal Sect, and the Eternity Sect stood at the other side.

The Sect Master and Ancestor of the Twilight Council stood to the side in the middle between the two sides.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect still stood in his assigned balcony in the arena.

The Twilight Council had arrived, and whoever got blamed for the death of their Vice-Sect Master would have to go through hell.

Chapter 1246 - – Confusion

The two people of the Twilight Council looked with cold eyes at everyone present.

As soon as they saw that both sides had the same expressions, they realized that they would each blame each other.

This would become troublesome.

"Who killed our Vice-Sect Master?" the Sect Master asked with anger.

"It was him!" the representative of the Lost Wind Sect shouted as he pointed at Silver Seer. "He killed him with his Heavenly Lightning!"

"What bullshit!" Silver Seer shouted back. "Yes, he died to my lightning, but you have all seen that the will on my lightning has already been destroyed after he pushed it to the side! How am I supposed to control willless lightning!? It was obviously that whore! She manipulated it from a distance!"

"And how am I supposed to do that!?" the representative of the Mortal Sect shouted with an offended tone. "I also can't control attacks that have no will on them!"

"Oh yeah?" Silver Seer shouted. "Then, how did our Law Comprehension Area for Heavenly Lightning suddenly leave its place to attack me!? Because of that, my entire Sect is now destroyed! Look around yourself! Everything has been turned to rubble, and nearly all my Ancestral Gods died! You can't honestly think that I did that, right!?"

"Maybe you did!" she shouted back.

"Are you retarded!? Having an incredibly powerful disciple is nice, but I won't sacrifice my entire fucking Sect for that!" Silver Seer shouted back.

"Disciple?" the representative of the Eternity Sect repeated with a disregarding voice. "You mean your weapon. You only wanted to use him until he is of no use anymore."

"Oh, and you're so different?" The representative of the True Life Sect said with a giggle. "Don't act like you're the nice guy in this scenario. You wanted to do the same."

"Yes!" Silver Seer shouted as he agreed with her. "Additionally, why would I destroy my own fucking Sect? Who would benefit most from my Sect being destroyed!? You three, obviously! So, if you can control a Law Comprehension Area like this, you can also control my willless lightning!"

"Are you insane!? Why would we destroy your Sect while being inside it?" the representative of the Lost Wind Sect scoffed. "You only lost your buildings, your two Law Comprehension Areas, and some Ancestral Gods. Your foundation isn't even threatened. You think we would risk our lives for something as insignificant as that?"

"You obviously did! After all, it happened!" Silver Seer shouted. "You know that it would have been too obvious, which is why you did that. The fact that it is so obvious that you did it would make people think that you're too smart to do something like that, which is what you're banking on!"

"Are you even listening to the words coming out of your mouth?" the representative of the Lost Wood Sect sneered with disdainful laughter. "Then, why did we supposedly kill the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council? That would be even riskier!"

"Because you wanted to finish us off," the representative of the True Life Sect scoffed. "By killing the Vice-Sect Master, you want to pull the Twilight Council to your side while severely weakening us."

While the two sides were arguing with each other, the two people from the Twilight Council had already turned back time to watch what had happened.

Gravis had eradicated all traces of time when he had killed the Vice-Sect Master of the Eternal Fire Sect, but no one had eradicated the traces of time when the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council had been killed.

Because of that, the two leaders of the Twilight Council could see the entire incident.

From what they were seeing, the Vice-Sect Master of the Lost Wind Sect had initiated the confrontation, and Silver Seer had clapped back.

Then, their Vice-Sect Master blocked the attack to stop the fighting, only for the lightning spears to suddenly turn around and incinerate him.

The two leaders of the Twilight Council looked at the reaction of everyone involved, and absolutely everyone looked shocked beyond compare.

There was no one that reacted suspiciously.

They also saw the argument that happened after that, but as soon as the fighting broke out, the images became unreadable. The forces generated by the clash threw time into disarray.

The only thing the two people noticed was that the fighting had gone on for way too long.

Under normal circumstances, a fight between such powerful Cultivators should have long since ended, but for some reason, they fought for an incredibly long time.

Did not one person manage to land a killing blow in such a long time?

Unlikely.

So, what was going on?

Additionally, both sides kept claiming that they were innocent while framing the other side.

People of that level all knew the Law of Honesty, and everyone kept using it.

Both sides were apparently speaking the truth.

"Why did you kill the audience?" the Sect Master of the Twilight Council suddenly asked Silver Seer.

"Because I know that I would be framed," Silver Seer said with a calm voice.

"Yet, you didn't erase time?" the Sect Master asked.

Silver Seer looked embarrassed to the ground. "I was in a panic, and I didn't think much. I knew that I had to do something, so I killed everyone. I knew that the suspicion would fall on me, which is why I tried to kill every unreliable witness."

"However, you have to believe me! I genuinely didn't kill your Vice-Sect Master!" Silver Seer implored.

"Your attack killed him," the representative of the Eternity Sect said coldly, "but if you are so hellbent on playing the victim, why don't you swear to Heaven? If you're innocent, that shouldn't be an issue, right?"

Silver Seer's body shook.

Swearing to Heaven was not something that could be taken lightly.

A single wrong word, a small mistake, an imperfectly spoken statement, and he would die.

He had no fault in ending the Vice-Sect Master's life? That would kill Silver Seer since the person probably wouldn't have died without his attack.

He had never wanted him to die? Was there a moment in Silver Seer's life when he wanted the Vice-Sect Master to die? Probably. He just never acted upon that desire.

The leaders of the Twilight Council looked at Silver Seer.

"Based on the current circumstance, your probability of being the perpetrator is the highest. Therefore, you need to swear to Heaven if you want to prove your innocence," the Sect Master said.

Silver Seer became nervous.

Swearing to Heaven could kill him!

One mistake, and he was done for!

After some seconds, Silver Seer took a nervous breath.

"Shortly before, while, and shortly after launching that attack, I had no intention of harming or killing the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council. I swear to Heaven," Silver Seer said quietly.

The three opposing representatives sneered.

Silence.

As time passed, their expressions became shocked.

What!?

The three of them had been certain that Silver Seer had killed the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council!

How was he still alive!?

This could only mean one thing.

Silver Seer didn't kill the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council!

After realizing that he was still alive, Silver Seer released a deep breath.

"See!?" he shouted as he pointed at the opposing three representatives. "It wasn't me! It was them!"

The two leaders of the Twilight Council concentrated on the opposing side.

The three of them fell into a panic and confusion, and the representative of the Mortal Sect gritted her teeth.

"I have not touched, manipulated, or interacted with that attack in any shape or form. I swear to Heaven!" she proclaimed.

Silence.

Now, it was the time for the opposing two representatives to become shocked.

What!?

The two leaders of the Twilight Council furrowed their brows as they inspected everyone else.

"In the last hour, I have done nothing to harm the Vice-Sect Master. I swear to Heaven," the representative of the True Life Sect said with a bitter smile.

"I had no hand in killing the Vice-Sect Master! I swear to Heaven!" the representative of the Lost Wood Sect proclaimed.

"I had no hand in killing the Vice-Sect Master. I swear to Heaven," the representative of the Eternity Sect proclaimed.

With each new oath, everyone became more and more shocked.

None of them had killed the Vice-Sect Master?

Then, who had killed him!?

Eventually, all eyes fell on the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

"Was it you?" the Ancestor of the Twilight Council asked. He had to be the one to speak up since the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect was too powerful for his Sect Master.

"No," the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect stated.

"Then, swear to Heaven," the Ancestor of the Twilight Council said.

"No."

The eyes of the Ancestor narrowed. "Why not?"

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect looked at the Ancestor for the first time.

"Why should I do the bidding of someone weaker than me?"

Chapter 1247 - – Perpetrator

The atmosphere intensified again as the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect refused to comply in the investigation.

The Ancestor of the Twilight Council narrowed his eyes as he glared at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect. "Weaker than you?"

The Sect Master didn't even look at him. "Yes," he answered.

The Ancestor waited for further clarification, but nothing came, resulting in him becoming quite angry.

"So, you admit that you were the one?" the Ancestor asked with a threatening tone.

"Don't try to change the topic with baseless accusations," the Sect Master said calmly. "You know that your threat is empty and that you don't believe me."

Then, the Sect Master looked at the Ancestor again. "If you want to go to war with the Heavenly Divine Sect, you don't need to make grand allegations."

"Just attack."

The others looked with unease at the exchange.

Dealing with the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect was easy and difficult at the same time.

As long as one was honest and talked openly with the Sect Master, the Sect Master would give them direct answers.

However, if one tried to skirt the rules or honesty, they would find the Sect Master to be very uncooperative.

"Everyone else has already sworn by the Heavens, and you are the only remaining person that hasn't done so," the Sect Master of the Twilight Council said with a strict but calming voice. "It is logical for us to suspect you."

"Logical," the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect repeated with a scoff. "You're only saying that it's logical so that you can justify to yourself to put me into life-threatening danger by swearing upon Heaven."

"You don't believe that I've done it because you know exactly that I wouldn't use such underhanded tactics. Yet, you want me to swear upon the Heavens regardless, even though you're already certain that I didn't do it."

"Is this some kind of political powerplay?" he asked.

It had been quite a while since the two leaders of the Twilight Council felt that frustrated with someone.

Everyone had made a small sacrifice to show their support and unity. As one entity, they had already paid their proverbial taxes, but the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect refused to pay anything, saying that he hadn't supported this decision.

If a majority agreed, one should follow the rules of the majority. Otherwise, things wouldn't work out, and all sides would be unhappy.

The Ancestor wanted to say something, but the Sect Master of the Twilight Council stopped him with an urging glance.

The two of them looked at each other for a while as they exchanged voice transmissions.

The Ancestor had wanted to declare that morality was on his side and that the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect had to comply with their orders. If he didn't, they would declare war on his Sect.

However, the Sect Master of the Twilight Council had stopped him.

Why?

Because every single person that had ever threatened the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect had died.

A threat was a show of enmity, which automatically made the threatening person into an enemy in the Sect Master's eyes.

So, why should he hold himself back if the other person was already his enemy?

Enemies deserved to die, and he would simply kill them.

If the Ancestor of the Twilight Council decided to threaten the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect, the Sect Master would directly attack the two leaders of the Twilight Council with the intent to kill.

The two leaders of the Twilight Council were certain that they could win against him, but it would be risky. On top of that, even if they won, the Heavenly Divine Sect would go against them.

There was still the Ancestor of the Heavenly Divine Sect left, and that Ancestor was no joke.

In comparison to all the other Sects, the Heavenly Divine Sect only participated in the wars because they wanted their disciples to get some tempering. They didn't exactly care for the resources and Law Comprehension Areas.

Why?

Because they had the most territory out of all of them, and they didn't need more.

The other Sects tried to survive and tried to own enough territory to create more powerful disciples, but the Heavenly Divine Sect only viewed these conflicts as an exercise or a hobby.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect could fight multiple Sect Masters alone, and the Ancestor of the Heavenly Divine Sect could fight multiple Ancestors alone.

There were only two ways to destroy the Heavenly Divine Sect.

First, at least three different Sects would need to go all out, risking their lives. However, that would still leave a chance of failure. To be sure, one would need four or five Sect Masters and their Ancestors.

Second, the Ancestor of the Lightning Peak Sect would need to get involved. She was the only member of the Peak Sects that could take out the Heavenly Divine Sect.

Of course, both methods were theoretically possible but would never be seen in practice.

So, what were they supposed to do now?

Fight him to the death or take a step back?

It wasn't even a choice.

"Then, do you know who was responsible for the death of our Vice-Sect Master?" the Sect Master of the Twilight Council asked.

The others looked at the exchange with bitter smiles.

The Twilight Council was helpless in front of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect looked calmly at the Sect Master of the Twilight Council.

"Yes."

For an instant, everyone acted as if nothing of note had happened, but then they registered his words.

Yes?

Wait, he knew?

The Sect Master of the Twilight Council was just as surprised.

He had only asked that question so that he could say that the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect had helped them in their investigation.

He hadn't expected that the Sect Master would give a positive answer!

"You know?" the Ancestor asked in surprise. "Who was it?"

"Why should I tell you?" the Sect Master answered evenly.

The Ancestor immediately gritted his teeth in rage and frustration, but his Sect Master stopped him again.

He couldn't lose his cool now.

The Ancestor didn't know the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect very well since that Sect Master had only come to fame after the Ancestor had already stopped being a Sect Master.

The Ancestor was too used to the normal kinds of people, which almost resulted in him committing two fatal mistakes.

Luckily, the Sect Master of the Twilight Council had followed the story of the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect very closely.

"What do you want for the information?" the Sect Master of the Twilight Council asked.

"Ten level nine Law Comprehension Life Fruits of my choosing," he answered.

The Ancestor wanted to object, but his Sect Master stopped him again with an urgent expression.

They were both fortunate that the Ancestor trusted his Sect Master.

"Fine," the Sect Master said. "We will bring your Law Comprehension Life Fruits."

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect nodded absentmindedly.

"I'm actually surprised that you didn't guess it yourselves. It's actually really simple," the Sect Master said.

The others grimaced when they heard that comment.

Was he calling them stupid?

"Who benefitted the most from sowing chaos among us? Who benefitted the most from keeping the fight going until the Twilight Council arrived? Who benefitted the most from the Twilight Council's arrival?" he asked.

Benefit?

The others looked at each other with confusion.

Actually, none of them would benefit. After all, it was risky, but it wasn't impossible to clear their names.

None of them would have benefitted.

In fact, killing the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council was a major risk without any potential reward.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect watched them for a couple of seconds and scoffed. "You are so used to being above everyone else that you believe everyone not on your level to be useless."

"You believe that everyone that isn't a level nine Divine God can't do anything against you, and you believe that they will never do anything against you."

"Cultivators younger and weaker than us aren't necessarily stupider. If you foresaw how something would go, they would probably also foresee it."

"Especially if they are a never-before-seen genius in the entire Cosmos," the finished.

Never-before-seen genius?

For a second, everyone was confused.

"He's gone!" the representative of the Mortal Sect suddenly shouted as she pointed towards the arena.

Some confused expressions appeared on everyone's faces, but their eyes quickly widened as they remembered the entire reason for their fight.

Everyone looked at the arena, and, sure enough, Gravis was gone.

In the beginning, only Gravis had been on their mind. After all, he was an unprecedented genius.

However, when the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council died, Silver Seer's mind shifted to only thinking about his own survival, which made him attack the others.

The others' minds also shifted since they feared for their lives. After all, Silver Seer was attacking them.

Additionally, things only became worse. The fight dragged on, and even the entire Lightning Peak Sect was nearly destroyed.

Then, everyone focused on defending themselves from the Twilight Council.

They were too busy with their own survival to think about some Ancestral God.

Additionally, he was only an Ancestral God. Even with his incredible Battle-Strength, he wasn't as powerful as a Divine God.

What could he do in front of them?

"Where did he go!?" Silver Seer shouted with anger.

This little shit that was supposed to be his weapon had destroyed his Sect and had put him into life-threatening danger!

How dare he!?

Silver Seer didn't want to recruit Gravis anymore.

No, he wanted to kill Gravis!

This asshole had destroyed his Sect!

"He left," the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect said.

The other members of the Peak Sects looked at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect with anger.

This insignificant little shit had nearly killed them!

All the stress, fear, and frustration had been put on Gravis' shoulders.

He was at fault!

"Why didn't you tell us!?" Silver Seer shouted with aggression.

"Because it had nothing to do with me," the Sect Master answered.

"I never fought for him. I only watched everything unfold without involving myself."

"He's not my problem."

Silver Seer gritted his teeth.

He was furious at the Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect, but he couldn't do anything against him.

Was he supposed to attack him?

He couldn't do that without some serious backup!

The others didn't even dare to insult him, which meant that they obviously wouldn't help Silver Seer against him in a fight.

Instead, Silver Seer focused his rage on Gravis.

"Find him!"

"I want his head!"

Chapter 1248 - – Sphere

Gravis was charging through the Zero Blaze in his Void Lightning form.

Two months had already passed, and he hadn't seen anyone so far.

However, that didn't mean much.

The area was absolutely gigantic, and there could only be so many people searching for him. Additionally, they wouldn't all take note of a random bolt of weird Energy shooting forward. After all, the power of the Zero Blaze around him would mask Gravis' Energy very well.

Gravis managed to move millions of kilometers per second, but that was absolutely nothing in comparison to the sheer size of this area.

The powerful Ancestral Gods that knew the Law of Zero Blaze and the Divine Gods could easily look at tens if not hundreds of millions of kilometers of their surroundings, but in such a gigantic area, their Spirit Senses were comparably insignificant.

Gravis had left in a random direction, and he specifically didn't go towards Northsky City since that would be the obvious place to go.

The searching teams didn't know how fast Gravis could be, which required them to search for a vast area in all directions.

Surrounding the Zero Blaze region?

Impossible.

They would need millions of Divine Gods for that, and Gravis was sure that there weren't millions of Divine Gods in this world.

Divine Gods were still a rarity.

Because of that, the searching teams would have to comb a ridiculously big area.

The first day had been the riskiest one, but Gravis had managed to get through that day without meeting anyone.

On top of that, some of the people would probably believe Gravis to have already died. After all, Gravis was a level one Ancestral God, and even if he had an insane Battle-Strength, the Zero Blaze could annihilate him with one touch.

However, there were also those who believed that Gravis knew the level eight Law of Zero Blaze, which would make him immune.

Yet, even if he knew it, he wouldn't be able to teleport.

The Law of Zero Blaze would allow Gravis to stop explosions from happening. After all, he would only need to create a layer of Zero Blaze around him. As long as Zero Blaze touched more Zero Blaze, it wouldn't explode.

However, if Gravis teleported, the warping of space would detonate the Zero Blaze at the entry and exit point.

Gravis would be able to stop the Zero Blaze from detonating, but he wouldn't be able to stop its force when it had already exploded.

Of course, all of that wasn't very important since Gravis didn't know the Law regardless, but these were the thoughts that the searching teams thought of.

Gravis hadn't seen the conversation between the leaders of the Peak Sects, but he was certain that they were all searching for him.

Gravis had destroyed a huge chunk of the Lightning Peak Sect, and he had threatened the lives of the other Peak Sects. Even more, he was responsible for the death of the Vice-Sect Master of the Twilight Council.

The only Peak Sect that wouldn't want to take revenge on him was the Heavenly Divine Sect.

As more and more time passed, Gravis' nervousness increased.

Why?

Wasn't it good that he got further without an incident?

If one didn't know anything about Gravis' life, they would be confused by Gravis' growing nervousness. However, if one had seen Gravis' life, one would be able to understand why Gravis became so nervous.

Both sides didn't know where the other was, and they both blindly moved forward, one side searching, one side fleeing.

When there was no information to make a reliable decision, one had to take a chance.

In short, it all depended on luck.

If Gravis got lucky, no one would find him.

If the enemy got lucky, they would find him.

And that was exactly why Gravis was nervous.

Gravis refused to believe that no one would find him. His luck was simply too bad for that.

Because of that, Gravis waited every day for the inevitable confrontation.

At some point, someone would find him.

What then?

At the moment, Gravis couldn't even really fight.

As soon as Gravis unleashed any kind of Law or transformed into his physical body, the Zero Blaze around him would explode, killing him.

And even if he could fight, how powerful would the interfering person be?

This was not some Eternal Fire Sect.

These were members of the Peak Sects!

Gravis guessed that probably hundreds if not thousands of Divine Gods were searching for him.

Then, even if Gravis managed to kill his opponent, wouldn't the surrounding members not also notice that someone had died? Then, several more would go to Gravis' location, and Gravis would be confronted with even more powerful enemies.

There was no way out.

As soon as someone found him, he would die.

At the moment, Gravis felt like he was back in the lower world after he had accidentally killed Gorn.

Back then, the entire world had been searching for him. There had even been a Spirit Forming Cultivator that had attacked Gravis when he had only been in the third or fourth level of the Energy Gathering Realm.

One wrong move and everything would end.

Gravis was like a wild animal. The local human village wanted to capture him to use him as a service animal, but he had killed some of the hunters.

The animal had refused to be tamed, and it had dared to kill a human. Because of that, the animal was dangerous to society, and it had to be killed.

Six more months passed with no incident.

And then, it finally happened.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Suddenly, around two million kilometers away, a cacophony of explosions occurred.

Gravis stretched his Spirit Sense to that location in fear, but he couldn't see anything due to the force of the explosion warping space and time.

Gravis only knew that someone had appeared, and they obviously didn't care about the Zero Blaze.

This meant that the other side had to be a Divine God.

An instant later, the explosions vanished again.

Teleporting in this area was impossible for Gravis, but not for Divine Gods.

The act of teleporting wasn't impossible in and of itself. The teleporting person only had to survive the backlash of the Zero Blaze.

Gravis couldn't.

Divine Gods could.

Gravis would have released a sigh of relief if he actually had a physical body right now.

The Divine God hadn't noticed the Void Lightning.

Two more months passed.

During these two months, Gravis had seen two other clusters of explosions, which made him more nervous.

They were closing in!

Gravis had already thought about going below the ground, but that would trap him. In order to move, Gravis needed to use some Energy, and if he were completely submerged by Zero Blaze, Gravis would never be able to move again.

Additionally, Zero Blaze didn't stop one's Spirit Sense like earth.

So, if Gravis decided to burrow below the snow, he would be a sitting duck until he comprehended the Zero Blaze Law, which would take him probably 300,000 years or so.

During that time, there was bound to be at least one person that noticed a stationary bolt of black lightning in the snow.

Gravis could only continue.

Two more months passed.

On this day, Gravis noticed something.

A sphere of Zero Blaze was quickly moving through the snowstorm.

'An Ancestral God that knows the Law of Zero Blaze,' Gravis thought with nervousness.

Gravis couldn't just stop since a stationary bolt of Void Lightning was even more suspicious than a moving bolt.

Because of that, Gravis continued.

After a bit of charging around, the sphere of Zero Blaze moved towards Gravis.

If Gravis had a heart, it would beat in his head right now.

As Gravis continued, the sphere of Zero Blaze appeared beside him.

Then, it simply followed him for a couple of seconds.

The Ancestral God inside the sphere had definitely noticed the bolt of Void Lightning, but they weren't sure what they should do with it.

When Gravis saw that the sphere hadn't immediately attacked him, he felt some relief.

The Peak Sects didn't know of his Lightning Transformation.

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Divine Sect hadn't told them.

After some more seconds, the sphere suddenly shot away at full speed.

It shot towards the direction where Gravis had come from.

'They believe that I released this bolt of lightning to distract them,' Gravis thought.

For a minute, nothing else happened.

Suddenly, Gravis noticed another sphere of Zero Blaze, and it was directly on his path!

The second sphere was stationary, and Gravis felt a Spirit Sense envelop him.

This sphere was waiting for him!

If Gravis evaded, the Ancestral God would know that this bolt of Void Lightning had a will.

If Gravis didn't evade, he would collide with the Ancestral God, and his Void Lightning body would vanish. Void Lightning was pure Energy in a different form, and if he came into contact with a human, he would be absorbed by them.

Obviously, that would end in his death.

Evading would kill Gravis.

Not evading would kill Gravis.

There was nothing he could do!

Gravis' mind was going wild as he charged at the sphere.

In his perception, time moved incredibly slowly as Gravis tried to think of a plan.

However, Gravis couldn't come up with any plan.

'I don't know what it can do, but there's literally nothing else I can try right now.'

'I don't know if it will achieve anything, but it's better than doing nothing!'

Gravis closed in on the sphere.

Then, Gravis passed the sphere.

It was like time had frozen.

Gravis saw a woman with white and black hair looking at him with narrowed eyes, a sphere of Zero Blaze around her.

Inside the isolated barrier, Gravis stopped and transformed into his physical body.

The woman's eyes widened as a warping wave shot at her.

At this very moment, she lost control over everything in her surroundings.

Her Zero Blaze barrier exploded violently as Gravis unleashed a Law.

The combined power of several all-out attacks of Peak Ancestral Gods swallowed the surroundings.

Neither she nor Gravis could survive this.

This instant felt as long as an eternity.

"I'll call you Grace!" the voice of a woman could be heard.

Gravis opened his eyes to see a baby in a woman's hands inside a grand palace.

Gravis narrowed his eyes as he tried to think of a plan.

Samsara was the only thing he could think of to save himself.

Yet, would Gravis be able to find a solution inside Samsara, or would he be forced to spend the last ten million or so years of his life just waiting for the inevitable explosion that would end his life?

At this moment, Gravis had no idea what he could do.

But he had to do something!

When Samsara ended, he would die!

Chapter 1249 - – Waiting For Death

This was the worst Samsara Gravis had ever undergone.

Not only was it long, but surviving Samsara wasn't even the hardest part.

Gravis had to find a solution to the incredibly powerful explosions happening on the outside. As soon as Gravis had put the Ancestral God into Samsara, her Zero Blaze lost all will on it, making it explode together with the surrounding Zero Blaze.

Gravis knew that if he didn't find a solution to this issue, he would be attacked by over a hundred attacks equal to someone in the ninth level of the Ancestral God Realm.

What could he do?

Even if he somehow managed to comprehend the True Law of Perceived Reality, what would it even do for him?

The attacks happened in physical reality, and Gravis' manipulation of perceived reality wouldn't change the outcome.

The attack would still hit him.

During this ten-million-year-long instant, Gravis also couldn't possibly advance in his Realm. The time was simply too short.

As Gravis absentmindedly watched Samsara, his mind was trying to come up with a solution.

What kind of Law would even allow Gravis to resist such an explosion?

True Law of Space?

Sure, Gravis could expand the space between him and the explosion, but there simply wasn't enough time.

Time freeze and then use the True Law of Space?

Freezing the time of so much Energy at once would immediately drain Gravis of all Energy.

True Law of Gravity?

Same thing.

Any Elemental True Law?

The opposing attack was too powerful.

Law of Sentience?

That only stopped Laws from being unleashed, but the Zero Blaze existed in a natural form. It already existed, and no one was manipulating it.

Using Mortis as a shield?

Even if Gravis wanted to do that, what would that even accomplish? Mortis would die, and the explosion would still be easily powerful enough to kill him.

User the Major Law of Death? Same thing. The opposing attack simply had too much Energy.

Comprehend the True Law of Matter?

Same thing again. Creating a powerful shield out of nothing still required an infinitely larger amount of Energy than Gravis had.

Comprehend the True Law of Energy?

Pfft, as if. That was a level eleven Law. Gravis didn't even know a level ten Law.

True Law of the Dead World?

Useless.

True Law of Life?

Useless.

True Law of Emotions?

Useless.

True Law of Perceived Reality?

Useless.

All the Laws were useless.

Gravis' Realm was simply too low, and he simply didn't have enough Energy to create a satisfying defense.

Increasing his Realm was impossible.

Gravis also didn't have any God Stones to supplement his Energy usage.

Beg for help?

Sure, Gravis might be able to survive if his father intervened, but this would mark the end of his journey. Gravis had to walk his path to the end.

Beg someone else for help?

Gravis wouldn't even be able to use a voice transmission before he died. Additionally, there had been no one around him.

Destroy physical reality like back when Gravis resurrected Mortis?

Then Gravis would be killed by the Primordial Chaos, and even if it didn't kill him, Orthar would probably kill him.

There was nothing.

There was absolutely nothing he could do!

Even if Gravis knew the True Law of the True World, which was a level eleven Law, he wouldn't be able to survive the attack. The opposing attack was simply too powerful!

Yes, Arc had been able to use the Law of the True World to manipulate Gravis' Heavenly Lightning, but back then, Gravis had only been two levels above Arc.

At the moment, Gravis was a level one Ancestral God, and the approaching attack was equal to about a hundred all-out attacks of level nine Ancestral Gods.

One level nine Ancestral God was already ten levels above Gravis!

Those were one hundred attacks of individuals ten levels above Gravis!

Gravis wouldn't be able to block an attack of someone six or seven levels above himself.

What was he supposed to do against a hundred attacks ten levels above himself!?

What was he supposed to do?

What could he do?

Gravis thought and thought, but no matter what he came up with, it was all useless.

He simply didn't have the resources to resist the attack.

In front of overwhelming power, everything became useless.

The random forces of nature would kill Gravis.

Gravis had gone through three worlds, and he had dominated all of them. He had even become unprecedently talented in the highest world, but that didn't change a thing.

Gravis wouldn't die to an enemy.

He would die to some random level eight Law Comprehension Area.

Thousands of years had already passed in Samsara, but Gravis only stared absentmindedly into space.

There was nothing he could do.

From time to time, Gravis threw a glance at Samsara.

He couldn't even say his goodbyes to his friends and family.

He couldn't even control the last million years of his life.

This was Samsara, and Gravis had no control over anything in here.

The years passed, and Gravis only waited for his death.

He wanted to give up.

What was the point of even surviving Samsara?

He would die anyway.

Yet, Gravis just couldn't give up, even if he wanted to.

There was always this small glimmer of hope in the back of his mind.

Even if everything appeared hopeless, there was always this tiny bit of hope.

Maybe reality isn't as horrible as he imagined?

Maybe all of this was just a dream?

Maybe the Zero Blaze hadn't actually exploded?

Because of that, Gravis continued surviving in Samsara.

Time dragged on, and the closer the end of Samsara came, the more nervous Gravis got.

By now, a couple million years had passed.

Then, some more million years.

BOOOOM!

Gravis comprehended a Law during Samsara, but he only scoffed.

'A bit late,' Gravis thought with a snort. 'The level eight Law of Zero Blaze? I could've used that earlier. Now, that won't help me. Sure, I can make the power of the Zero Blaze around me drop a level, but then it's still nine levels above myself.'

'Sure, I can create more Zero Blaze now, but what's the point? Creating a shield of Zero Blaze is only there to stop the surrounding Zero Blaze from exploding, and the Zero Blaze has already exploded.'

Normally, Gravis would feel elated that he comprehended another level eight Law, but at the moment, he didn't care.

There was nothing he could do.

In comparison to his approaching death, he was powerless.

He was nothing.

His power amounted to nothing.

BOOOOM!

Gravis scoffed again.

'The True Law of Humility is actually feeling powerless and helpless. I mean, I get it. Constantly being self-deprecating can be seen as an extreme form of humility.'

'Sadly, even that has become useless. If I had comprehended this Law before I came to the tournament, I could have probably hidden my power. Only someone that also knows the True Law of Humility can see through the mask of humility.'

'Although, there are bound to be some members in the Peak Sects that know the True Law of Humility. I would've probably still been found out.'

Gravis snorted again.

'It's actually hilarious. The feeling of pressure has never been this intense. I've been waiting for my inevitable death for millions of years without wanting to die.'

'I know I will die, but there is still so much time left.'

'That's how I'm able to comprehend so many Laws at this moment.'

'Additionally, my Will-Aura would probably jump by quite a few levels.'

'Yet, what's the point?'

'I'm dead either way.'

If Gravis could control his body, he would sigh right now.

More time passed, and soon, Gravis arrived close to the present.

Someone else was looking at the woman and told her about her new mission.

She was supposed to find a person in the ring of Zero Blaze around the Lightning Peak Sect.

She could kill him or bring him back alive. It was up to her.

'So, this is it, huh?' Gravis thought.

Gravis watched the woman move around from the perspective of some other people, and eventually, Gravis' perception went back to his own body.

Gravis saw how he approached the woman.

In his perception, she was a dangerous obstacle.

Gravis took a deep breath inside the last seconds of Samsara.

'I still don't know what to do.'

BOOOOM!

Under the unending pressure, Gravis comprehended the True Law of Danger, and with it, the True Law of Perceived Reality.

'What's the point?' Gravis thought with a sigh.

And then, Samsara ended.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

Chapter 1250 - – Return

Gravis' perception returned to reality.

Death was about to arrive.

The person in front of Gravis was still lost in confusion, and the Zero Blaze around her quickly consumed her body.

At this moment, Gravis felt an apocalyptic power attack his body.

This was the last instance of his life, and it felt like an eternity.

Gravis closed his eyes as he gave up.

It was over.

Maybe, it was better this way?

What's the point of fighting?

Gravis didn't resist, and the explosion engulfed him.

His entire being was consumed.

Gravis only waited for his end.

After a gigantic explosion, everything was over.

The woman had died.

Silence.

Several seconds of silence.

And then, Gravis slowly opened his eyes as he looked around.

Gravis wasn't sure if this was reality.

'I should be dead, right? There's no way I survived that explosion,' Gravis thought.

Gravis looked around in confusion.

His eyes fell on the snowflakes of Zero Blaze.

They constantly touched his body, but instead of exploding, they simply brushed past him.

It was like the Zero Blaze recognized Gravis as part of its own.

Gravis' eyes opened wide in shock.

"This feeling," Gravis said slowly.

"I know this feeling."

"It's been so long."

Gravis' mind went back to the practical exam in the Research Institute.

Back then, Gravis had also felt like this.

He didn't resist.

Back then, the water and the storm ignored him.

And now, the Zero Blaze ignored him.

Gravis' Spirit Sense expanded as he felt a resonance with the Zero Blaze in his surroundings.

With shocked eyes, Gravis slowly moved his arm forward and swung it around.

SSSHHH!

The snowflakes of Zero Blaze gathered together and followed Gravis' hand movements.

It was like the Zero Blaze belonged to Gravis.

Then, Gravis' eyes widened as he finally understood.

'The True Law of the Dead World is the mastery over all dead matter.'

'The True Law of Life is the mastery over all living matter.'

'The True Law of Emotions is the mastery over all Souls and Spirits.'

'And the True Law of Perceived Reality is the mastery over all wills!'

'Everything that doesn't have a will belongs to my will.'

'So, this is the origin of Elemental Synchronicity!'

'It's the power to impose your will on things that don't have one!'

'And it comes from the True Law of Perceived Reality!'

Gravis felt everything resonate with him.

He felt the Zero Blaze.

He felt the air.

He felt the power of Heavenly Blaze deep beneath his feet.

He felt the power of Heavenly Zero far above his head.

They all resonated with him.

They were all part of him!

The connection wasn't nearly as close as Gravis' connection with lightning, but there was still an immense feeling of resonance.

'Elemental Synchronicity is an effect of the True Law of Perceived Reality!'

Gravis looked at his hand absentmindedly.

"It has returned."

"After such a long time, my Elemental Synchronicity has finally returned!"

Suddenly, Gravis' True Law of Danger screamed at him.

Someone was about to attack him!

Gravis spun around and pointed in a seemingly random direction.

SSSHHHH!

A storm of Zero Blaze shot towards that direction, directly at an approaching sphere of Zero Blaze.

The storm of Zero Blaze hit the sphere, and the sheer power of the storm tore through the sphere, revealing the shocked expression of a young, silver-haired man.

BOOOOOOOM!

The Zero Blaze exploded, and the young man died.

He had only been an Ancestral God.

Even all of his belongings had been destroyed by the Zero Blaze, leaving Gravis with nothing.

'No time to fall into nostalgia now! More people will arrive here soon!' Gravis thought with narrowed eyes.

Gravis immediately charged towards the ground.

A thick blanket of Zero Blaze was below Gravis, and he simply charged through it like it was air.

In an instant, Gravis had already moved nearly a million kilometers into the ground, but the Zero Blaze simply didn't end.

Then, a powerful Spirit Sense engulfed Gravis.

'Divine God!' Gravis thought with narrowed eyes.

Gravis stretched out his arms and violently clenched his hands into fists.

BOOOM!

Someone arrived close to Gravis with a teleportation, destroying all the Zero Blaze in the area.

However, the person didn't care about the Zero Blaze.

They were too powerful to be injured by a mere level eight Law.

A woman with a strict look and violet hair appeared in front of Gravis.

For a moment, time seemingly froze.

Then, Gravis' fingers extended again.

"Boom," he whispered.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

The woman's eyes widened in shock and horror, but it was already too late.

The Heavenly Fire deep beneath the ground had exploded towards her.

This was the most powerful source of Heavenly Fire in the entire Cosmos. Just its sheer size alone spoke of its power.

The woman created a powerful shield, allowing her to resist the power of the Heavenly Fire, but she was using up a ridiculous amount of Energy every instant.

In comparison, Gravis gathered more and more Heavenly Fire.

Gigantic pillars of the hottest fire in existence shot at the Divine God, and Gravis pressed the pillars together to increase their power and temperature.

At the same time, Gravis used his True Law of Control to manipulate the feeling of control the Divine God had over her power.

"AAAAHHHH!"

BANG!

With a last scream, she died.

Gravis didn't pause, and he immediately continued charging further down.

An instant later, Gravis was already surrounded by pure Heavenly Fire.

The power of this source of Heavenly Fire was unreasonable.

Gravis guessed that it could probably even kill Divine Gods in the middle of their Realm.

The surrounding Heavenly Fire warped gravity, space, and time, and it even made it extremely difficult for Spirit Senses to sense anything.

Well, except for Gravis' Spirit Sense.

Gravis sensed how several more Divine Gods had arrived at the place where he had just been, and they searched around.

However, they couldn't sense him in the Heavenly Fire.

Then, they all dispersed as they searched for him in the underground.

Gravis continued to descend, and the gravity became more and more powerful.

Two seconds later, the Heavenly Fire ended, and impossibly powerful ore appeared.

Gravis passed through the ore like it was air.

Metal and earth were also part of the Elements.

The gravity around Gravis became more and more intense. At this depth, no Ancestral God could survive.

However, Gravis didn't care.

Gravity had no will, and Gravis was one with gravity.

Instead, Gravis felt like the concept of gravity gently flowed across his body.

Another second later, Gravis reached a depth where no Early Divine God could go to.

Another second later, Gravis reached a depth where no Mid Divine God could go to.

Space and time had already fully given way to gravity.

Space and time became irrelevant as gravity overwhelmed everything.

WHOOOM!

And then, Gravis felt an incomparably powerful Will-Aura press into him.

Gravis had never felt a Will-Aura that had been this powerful!

At this moment, Gravis knew that if he hadn't already comprehended the True Law of Perceived Reality, even the True Law of Freedom wouldn't be enough to resist this Will-Aura.

This could only mean one thing.

This Will-Aura was on the level of a Heaven's Magnate.

Gravis looked over, and he saw a beautiful woman with blue hair look at him with cold interest.

Gravis recognized her.

It was his sister, Zero's Essence.
