Ch. 1701..1710
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1701-Tyler returned late at night and assumed Vicky had gone to sleep. However, when he pushed open the bedroom door and
saw the familiar figure sitting on the couch, he narrowed his eyes.
"Why is she not asleep?" he asked Jade, his brow furrowed. "Is she unwell again?"
"No," Jade replied softly. "Ms. Shaw said she's not very sleepy right now."
Tyler nodded gently. "You can o rest."
Approaching Vicky, he noticed that she was reading a book. His gaze landed on the book in her hands—a book he bought
about pregnancy care. His eyes sparkled with a hint of emotion, and his voice softened. "How do you feel today?"
Vicky did not look up from her book. "I can carry this child to term."
Tyler abruptly turned his gaze toward her, his eyes piercing to the extent that she could feel them on her.
Setting the book aside, she met the man's deep, dark eyes. "After the child is born, I will entrust him to you. From then on,
we will sever all connections."
The warmth in his eyes, which had been so intense moments ago, vanished immediately. "What do you mean?"
"Last time, you said our grievances would end here," Vicky replied calmly. "I know you want to keep this child, so I will
entrust him to you. But from now on, we will be strangers."
Tyler furrowed his brow. "Strangers? Do you want the child to grow up without a mother?"
"You've misunderstood me," Vicky said slowly. "We will be strangers to each other, but I still have the right to visit my
child."
Tyler finally understood what she meant, and he smiled coldly. "Is being with me that uncomfortable for you?"
Vicky looked into his eyes. "Tyler Hart, have you forgotten everything you did to me? Do you want me to pretend that
nothing happened and continue to be with you?"
"Why not?" Tyler looked at her in the same way. "I could pretend nothing happened back then, so why can't you do the
same now?"
Faced with his intimidating gaze, Vicky inexplicably felt overwhelmed.
"So, you want me to repay everything I owe you?" she refuted.
"I told you my plan ends here."
The atmosphere suddenly became tense.
Some things, when left unspoken, become emotional scars. The same could describe the state of Vicky and Tyler's
relationship.
Out of consideration for Vicky's pregnancy and her mood, Tyler finally broke the silence.
"I went too far at the wedding… I'm sorry."
His apology was stiff and devoid of any sincerity. Vicky knew he had no remorse and that he was apologizing just for the
sake of it.
"If you truly feel sorry for what you did to me, please respect my decision."
Tyler noticed Vicky's unwavering resolve, and his expression darkened. "Do you want the child to grow up in an unhealthy
environment without a mother?"
"As long as he is well-educated, the child will understand his parents' struggles," Vicky replied calmly. "After all, in some
families, having parents together isn't necessarily better than being apart."
"What if I don't let you see the child?"
Vicky fell silent for a moment. "Well, there's nothing I can do."
Even if he continued to keep her locked up, she had no way out.
Tyler gritted his teeth, and his eyes darkened with evident displeasure.
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1702-"You stayed up until this time just to talk to me about this?"
Vicky nodded, her expression determined. "It's better to make things clear sooner or later."
Tyler's expression grew even colder.
"You don't have to answer me in a hurry. Take your time to think it over, and then give me your response," Vicky added.
She stood up. "It's getting late. I'll rest now."
Vicky displayed remarkable composure, even a sense of confidence.
For the sake of their child, Tyler had let go of hatred and his plans, so there was no reason for him not to grant her
freedom. At this point, their child was the most important thing to him, and a bond connected by blood might just temper
his extreme thoughts.
The following day, after a night of contemplation, Tyler eventually agreed to her proposal. "I accept your terms, but with a
modification," he said indifferently. "You'll stay here until you give birth, and I need to ensure the safety of the child's birth."
Given Tyler's domineering personality, he might not trust her outside of his watchful eyes. Furthermore, she could sense
that this was the last line of compromise she could reach.
Vicky agreed. "Fine, but I need corresponding freedom. You can't keep me confined in the villa all the time."
Tyler instinctively wanted to refuse, but when he caught a glimpse of the pale look on her face, he could not bring himself
to do it.
Bad moods were detrimental to both the mother and the baby. Especially for Vicky, who never liked being confined.
He pursed his lips. "Jade will be with you to ensure your safety."
Vicky knew that Tyler had reluctantly agreed and decided to compromise. "Alright."
The two of them finally reached a preliminary agreement.
The baby's room was still under renovation. During her pregnancy, Vicky disliked the noise, so she could not wait to go
outside once she had some freedom. Tyler did not say anything about it.
Vicky went upstairs to change her clothes and then called Aurora. "Aurora, are you free today?"
"Yes," Aurora replied without hesitation. "Vicky, can you go out now?"
"Yeah," Vicky said. "I talked to him and reached an agreement. I'll give birth to the baby, and he'll grant me freedom."
"He agreed to that?"
"He did."
Aurora sighed in relief. "That's great. If you really insisted on terminating the pregnancy, given how unpredictable he is, I
wouldn't put it past him to drag you down with him."
After arranging to meet Aurora at a coffee shop, Vicky went downstairs.
She had agreed that Jade would accompany her to ensure her safety in her daily life. However, when more than 10
minutes had passed and she still had not seen Jade, she sat down on the couch.
Jade was nowhere to be found, even after a while.
Vicky looked at Tyler, who was standing nearby. "Where's Jade?"
Tyler put down the financial magazine he was reading. "Do you need something from her?"
"Aren't you sending her to ensure my safety? I'm going out now. Shouldn't she be here?"
"She's not coming."
Vicky was rather surprised.
Just as she wondered if Tyler was finally going to give her complete freedom, he said, "I will accompany you.”
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1703-Vicky looked at Tyler in surprise. "Are you coming along?"
"I don't have anything to do today, so I can keep you company," Tyler replied calmly.
Vicky instinctively tried to refuse. "You don't have to."
Tyler frowned. "Why not?"
"I accepted having Jade around to protect me when I go out; I never agreed to let you follow me around," Vicky stated
firmly.
Tyler was unhappy with her explanation, but he managed to control his temper. "I'm not just following you around. I'm here
to protect you."
Vicky did not believe him.
"As the child's father, I can better ensure your safety," he added.
It seemed Tyler had made up his mind and would not change his decision regardless of how Vicky protested. He even
added, "You can think of me as any regular bodyguard."
'Any regular bodyguard, huh? He's anything but ordinary with his looks,' Vicky thought and felt that he was being
unreasonable.
Running late, Vicky could not afford to argue any further, so she reluctantly agreed.
Once inside the car, she settled into the back seat.
Tyler turned to look at her. "Why aren't you sitting in the front?"
"You're just a regular bodyguard. It's perfectly normal for me to sit in the backseat, right?" she coldly replied.
Tyler fell silent.
After a while, he started the car.
Half an hour later, Vicky arrived at the coffee shop she agreed to meet Aurora.
As Vicky reached for the door handle, Tyler beat her to it and opened the door for her.
She paused, turned to look at him, and then entered the coffee shop silently.
Aurora had arrived early and was waiting inside. Her eyes lit up when she saw Vicky. "Vicky, over here!"
Vicky walked over to her.
When Aurora saw the man following Vicky, she froze and struggled to hide the disgust on her face. "Why is he here too?"
Vicky sat across Aurora. "Don't mind him. He's just a bodyguard now."
"A bodyguard?" Aurora raised an eyebrow.
"Yes. He's here to ensure my safety."
Aurora eyed Tyler mockingly. "Mister Hart sure knows how to spice things up."
Tyler ignored Aurora's sarcasm, pulled out a chair, and was about to sit next to Vicky.
"Vicky, isn't it a bit inappropriate for a bodyguard to sit with his employer?" Aurora commented.
Vicky knew Aurora was deliberately making things difficult for Tyler, so she looked up at him. "Aurora isn't used to having
you sit with us."
Since Tyler had defined himself as a bodyguard, he could not exactly contradict her and had to find a compromise.
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1704-Tyler glanced at Vicky and stood quietly behind her.
Aurora felt excited that Tyler was paying for all the pain, suffering, and humiliation Vicky once faced. She was determined
to torture Tyler at her best effort.
Aurora called the waiter over and ordered two cups of coffee. Tyler, who had been silent all this time, spoke, "Don't drink
too much coffee. It's not good for the baby."
Aurora furrowed her brow. "Vicky, do all bodyguards talk so much?"
Regardless, Aurora replaced Vicky's coffee with juice.
The coffee shop was not crowded, but Tyler's tall and graceful figure—coupled with his regal aura—instantly drew
everyone's attention. Many young girls blushed just from glancing at him.
Being the center of attention made Vicky feel uncomfortable, and she looked up at Tyler. "You should sit elsewhere."
Fully embracing his role, Tyler cooperated willingly. He chose a seat that was not too close to Vicky but allowed him to
intervene if something happened.
Seeing Tyler take his seat, Aurora could not help but whisper to Vicky, "Vicky, what is Tyler up to?"
Vicky explained the agreement she reached with Tyler in a hushed voice.
Aurora's eyes widened in surprise. "He agreed to that?"
"He wants to keep this child, so there's no reason for him to refuse," Vicky replied as she took a sip of her juice.
Aurora picked up on the underlying message in Vicky's words. "Vicky, do you think his obsession with you has shifted to
the child?"
Vicky recalled Tyler's terrifying expression when he barged into the operating room and nodded softly. "He's always been
quite obsessed with the idea of having a child since…" Vicky paused, skipping over that topic. "He's promised me that
after I give birth, he won't bother me anymore."
Aurora found it difficult to believe that Tyler was being cooperative.
"Vicky, just take what he says with a grain of salt. Don't trust him too much," Aurora cautioned quietly.
Vicky's brow furrowed. "Do you think he's lying to me?"
Aurora continued in a hushed tone, "I don't know if he's lying to you, but think about it. This child will be with you for ten
months. After you give birth, can you really bear to give him up? If Tyler wants to reconcile with you, you'll find it hard to
refuse if he uses the baby as an excuse, even if all he asks is for you to breastfeed the baby. With every passing day,
you'll become more attached. In the end, he'll have you under his thumb again."
Aurora sneered at Tyler's cunningness. "Now that you're pregnant, he won't dare to harm you, upset you, or do anything
to you. Make the most of this time to torment him, and take revenge for all the humiliation he's caused you. Make things
difficult for him, and don't let him off lightly!"
Aurora did not believe that Vicky would gain her freedom after the child was born. Instead, she thought it would just give
Tyler another reason to keep Vicky close.
Vicky was taken aback for a moment.
Seeing Vicky's thoughtful expression, Aurora knew what she was thinking. "Vicky, haven't you noticed? Whether it was the
wedding or his plans after the wedding, the intention of letting you go has never crossed his mind. Now, with the child,
you'll have another bond between you, and he'll have even more reason to cling to you." She remembered something
Noah had said to her and whispered, "In other words, his previous reason for pursuing you was hatred. Now, it's the child."
She gazed into Vicky's eyes and continued, "He had no excuse but his hatred for you to keep coming back for you.
Without a reason to see you, you'll be strangers from now on. Of course, he probably still holds some grudge against you
in his heart, or he wouldn't have done such extreme things."
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1705-Aurora did not have a deep understanding of Tyler; all of this information came from Noah.
Noah had also said, "Why does Tyler value this child so much? It's because this child is an important bond that can tie
Vicky to him for a lifetime. As Vicky's friend, I understand her situation, and I'm on her side, but we can't deny that their
separation was initiated by Vicky. Tyler feels insecure around Vicky, but he doesn't have enough bargaining chips in his
hands to make her stay. If Vicky wasn't pregnant, in my opinion… He might take his life with Vicky's at the end of his
revenge plan. He was never a normal person, and these years have likely been a survival driven by hatred.
"Looking at his family's situation, it looks like he's on the brink of destroying the Hart family. There's probably nothing he
won't do. Fortunately, Vicky is pregnant, and that gives them both a way out and a chance to ease their relationship.
Otherwise…your friend might get killed.
"He's been subjected to electroconvulsive therapy, hypnosis, and drugging. How normal can he be? He's a lunatic now,
and the Hart family's situation is a result of his actions. He has psychological issues, and what the Harts did drove a
grown person to madness. Who's to blame?"
Aurora shuddered after hearing all this and concluded that Vicky was truly unlucky to have provoked such a terrifying
man.
She also feared that if Vicky resisted too vigorously, she might truly anger Tyler. To ensure her friend's safety, she would
have to help Tyler convince Vicky to stay.
However, Aurora was aware that the reason Vicky had been hurt by the events at the wedding was that she still had
feelings for Tyler.
After finishing their coffee, Aurora suggested going shopping. She decided to use this time to cause trouble for Tyler.
Vicky had not been out shopping for a long time, so she did not refuse.
As they left the coffee shop, Aurora glanced at Tyler, who followed them. "Tyler, Vicky, and I are going to the mall. Can you
drive us there?"
Tyler did not say anything. After unlocking the car, he overheard Aurora saying, "Tyler, how do you even qualify as a
bodyguard? Shouldn't you open the car door for the employer and let them get in first?"
Tyler paused in his tracks.
After a few seconds, he moved forward and opened the car door for Vicky. However, he opened the passenger-side door.
"I want to sit in the back with Aurora," Vicky said.
Tyler glanced at Vicky and closed the passenger-side door, then opened the rear door instead.
…
When they arrived at the mall, Aurora began her shopping spree.
She casually glanced at a few pieces of clothing and had them wrapped up by the store attendants.
When they handed the bags to Aurora, she raised an eyebrow. "Give these bags to the gentleman over there. He's the
bodyguard; he's responsible for carrying these things."
The attendant cautiously looked at the handsome man before her and wondered, 'A bodyguard? He's wearing an
expensive-looking suit, and he doesn't look like a bodyguard at all!'
Nevertheless, since the customer had spoken, the attendant had no choice but to comply.
They handed over the bags of clothes to Tyler. "Sir, these are the young lady's clothes."
Tyler did not accept them. "Since they all belong to her, give them to her."
Aurora was not pleased when she heard this. "Tyler, aren't you a bodyguard? Isn't it normal for a bodyguard to help the
employer carry things?"
"That's true," Tyler said casually. "But I'm Vicky's bodyguard, not yours. I'm not obligated to carry your things."
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1706-Tyler's remark left Aurora speechless.
Instead of being enraged, Aurora glanced around as she turned to Vicky. "Vicky, have you bought all the baby supplies?"
"Not yet."
"How about we check out the baby supply store?" Aurora's eyes lit up. "As the baby's godmother, I need to pick some gifts
for my godson." With this in mind, she became increasingly excited. "Come on, let's go to the baby supply store!"
She turned to the store attendant and said, "I'll give you an address later; just send my clothes there."
"Understood, miss."
…
When they arrived at the baby supply store, Aurora started shopping like a whirlwind.
"Wow, these shoes are so cute! Wrap them all up for me!
"That set, that set, and that set… Apart from the ones I'm pointing at, wrap up everything else!
"Oh, I need to buy some toys for my godson… This little scarf is so beautiful…"
Aurora was neck-deep in her shopping spree. In less than half an hour since they entered the store, she filled eight
shopping carts.
Vicky watched Aurora continue shopping without restraint and eventually had to stop her. "Aurora, you're buying too much.
The child won't be able to wear all of these."
"It's okay," Aurora replied casually. "We can change his or her outfit every day! Besides, I heard that a child's body grows
quickly, and we should have some clothes for each age group."
Tyler trailed behind the two women and watched Aurora, who seemed determined to empty the store. "By the time the
child can wear these, the clothes you've bought will be out of style."
Aurora did not hesitate to retort, "I'll just buy more when that happens."
"Aurora, the baby's room at home isn't even finished being decorated yet. With so much stuff, I'm afraid there won't be
enough room in the house," Vicky chimed in.
Hearing her say this, Aurora lamented, "Alright, just these for now."
The shop attendants happily took the items away.
Since the three of them entered the store, almost all the store attendants gathered around them.
This time, they bought 10 times more items than they did in the last store.
Aurora was about to call Tyler to help with the bags when she realized that the so-called 'bodyguard' had disappeared in
the blink of an eye.
Just as she mocked him for being an amateur bodyguard inwardly, a deep and cold voice spoke up. "Please help me wrap
up that baby crib."
Aurora turned her gaze and saw Tyler picking out a baby crib.
She raised an eyebrow and walked over to Tyler, deliberately looking for trouble. "Aren't you Vicky's bodyguard? Why are
you shopping instead of protecting Vicky?"
Tyler did not even glance at her. "Who said bodyguards can't shop?"
"How are you supposed to protect Vicky if you are shopping? What if she's in danger while you're shopping?"
Tyler felt like there might be some truth in what Aurora was saying. After some thought, he walked over to Vicky and pulled
her into his arms.
"There shouldn't be any problems this way," he said.
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1707-Vicky was in the midst of choosing baby supplies when she was swept up into Tyler's arms, leaving her stunned. She
furrowed her brow and struggled to free herself from his embrace. "Tyler, what are you doing?"
Tyler glanced at Aurora and replied, "Your friend asked me to do this."
Aurora pointed at herself incredulously. "When did I ask you to do that?"
"You were concerned about her safety and wanted me to stay close to protect her, right?" Tyler's expression remained
unchanged. "This way, I can fulfill your request."
Aurora was dumbfounded. It seemed she inadvertently assisted Tyler's plan, but it was not her intention.
After a long while, Aurora finally managed to squeeze out a sentence through gritted teeth, "Tyler, you're truly shameless!"
Tyler accepted her comment calmly. "Thank you for the compliment."
He then wrapped his arm around Vicky's waist and continued helping her pick out baby supplies.
Aurora was fuming.
The three of them spent a considerable amount of time in the baby supply store. By the time they left, it was already
lunchtime.
The store manager and a group of attendants pushed the shopping carts over to them and asked, "Should we deliver
these items directly to your home, or will you take them yourselves?"
Aurora was waiting for an opportunity to challenge Tyler and did not hesitate to say, "We'll take them ourselves."
"Alright," the store attendants replied.
Aurora looked at Tyler and smiled slyly. "Tyler, these things are all gifts for Vicky and the baby. You should help Vicky with
the bags, right? Oh, right, since these are baby items, it wouldn't be right to let someone else carry them. We should be
careful with baby items! Wouldn't you agree?"
Tyler's gaze fell upon several overflowing shopping carts. Even with both his hands and feet, he would not be able to carry
them all. However, he did not refuse and simply said, "I understand."
Aurora took hold of Vicky's arm and said, "You take your time moving the stuff; I'll take Vicky for lunch first. Given Vicky's
current condition, we can't let her go hungry." She turned to Vicky and asked, "What would you like to eat?"
"Let's have Mexican food."
"Alright, there's a good Mexican restaurant nearby. Let's give it a try."
Both of them completely ignored Tyler and walked past him.
However, just after they had placed their orders, Tyler appeared again. He scanned the area and accurately found where
the two of them were sitting, then walked over with long strides.
Aurora's eyes widened. "How did he get here so quickly? With so many things, it would take a long time for him to load
everything into the car." As she watched Tyler approach, Aurora could not help but ask, "Tyler, what about those things?
Did you hand them all over to the store for delivery?"
"I had my assistant come to collect them," Tyler said casually.
His assistant was someone he trusted implicitly.
Aurora was annoyed by how he always seemed to find convenient solutions. "You said you were going to be Vicky's
bodyguard, but in the end, you had your assistant handle everything," she sneered. "If you can't handle this kind of work,
maybe you shouldn't force yourself. After all, Vicky hired you as a bodyguard, not as a young master."
Tyler remained composed and replied, "As a bodyguard, my primary duty is to ensure her safety. If Vicky was in danger
while I was carrying things with my hands, how could I protect her safety in a timely manner?"
"…" Aurora was left speechless by his response.
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1708-Not only did Tyler know how to take advantage of situations, but he also knew how to talk his way out of everything.
The most exasperating thing for Aurora was that Tyler left her with no room for argument. Aurora decided to ignore him
and turned her gaze to chat with Vicky.
Vicky, too, acted as though she had not seen Tyler and chatted away with Aurora.
Their lunch arrived promptly, and the two of them began to eat. However, Tyler did not sit beside Vicky and stood quietly
nearby instead.
The restaurant was bustling during lunchtime, and Tyler, with his extraordinary presence, attracted quite a few glances.
Aurora, on the other hand, continued eating her meal as if oblivious to Tyler's presence.
As long as she did not feel awkward, any awkwardness would be his alone. If he was going to mistreat Vicky, she would
let him stand and go hungry.
Aurora intentionally slowed down her eating and even ordered a dessert after the meal, so this meal took more than two
hours to finish.
Tyler stood behind Vicky for over two hours. His expression showed no signs of weariness or impatience, and he
maintained his composed demeanor, paying no heed to the curious glances from onlookers.
When a waiter noticed him standing, they asked, "Sir, would you like us to bring you a chair?"
Tyler nonchalantly declined, "No, thank you."
In truth, no one would be demeaning to the point of denying their bodyguards a meal. If it were a normal situation, both
Aurora and Vicky would have invited him to join them for the meal, but Tyler was a special case.
Aurora's goal was to tease him. Vicky simply wanted Tyler to give up as she did not want him constantly hovering in front
of her.
Unfortunately, Tyler's mental state was far stronger than they imagined.
Lately, Tyler seemed to have a lot of free time and stayed home most of the time. Whenever Vicky went out, he played the
role of her bodyguard and accompanied her.
On this particular day, Vicky received a call from Jennifer.
"Vicky, Willow got into a rough situation… The client she dealt with is incredibly difficult. Despite multiple attempts to
communicate with her, it was all in vain."
Jennifer was aware that Vicky was pregnant and tried not to disturb her, but some clients were impossible to handle.
"What happened? Give me the details," Vicky asked.
"Willow took an order from a wealthy young lady, but when the delivery was made, the young lady wasn't at home. Her
husband, seeing how young and attractive Willow is, attempted to make advances toward her. When she slapped him in
self-defense, he got angry and threw her into jail. The lady has some influence in Stoneford City, and our lawyer couldn't
get Willow released. She's been in there for three days now. When I visited her earlier, I saw that her face was bruised…"
Jennifer felt helpless and had no other choice but to call Vicky. She could not bear to see Willow suffer like this any longer.
Vicky pondered for a few seconds and then asked, "Can we arrange a meeting with the person who put her in jail?"
Jennifer replied in a hushed voice, "The one who sent Willow to jail was that gentleman, but the one responsible for
ordering inmates in jail to bully Willow was the wealthy young lady. She asserted that Willow seduced her husband and
won't listen to reason."
This was a typical case of an unreasonable, vindictive customer.
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1709-Vicky furrowed her brow. "Send me the client's contact information, and I'll try reaching out," she said to Jennifer.
Jennifer promptly sent over the client's contact details.
Vicky made a call, introduced herself, and explained the purpose of her call.
"Missus Ridge, would you and Mister Ridge be willing to meet with me?" Vicky inquired.
Upon hearing that Vicky was the owner of a design studio, Missus Ridge was more accommodating and did not refuse a
meeting as decisively as before.
"Sure. I happen to have some free time this evening. If we need to discuss something, let's meet at the Royal Club," she
suggested.
Royal Club was a well-known members-only entertainment venue in Stoneford City. Vicky had been there a few times and
had a membership card, so she agreed to the proposal.
After ending the call, Vicky dialed Jennifer's number again to explain the situation.
Jennifer listened and said, "Vicky, since Willow reports to me, I'll go with you."
"Okay."
After setting a meeting time, they hung up.
Vicky changed into a different outfit in the dressing room and grabbed a bag before heading downstairs.
On her way, she bumped into Tyler, who just came upstairs.
Upon seeing Vicky's attire, Tyler raised an eyebrow. "Are you going out?"
"Yeah. I need to handle some work-related matters."
Tyler glanced at the time and frowned. "You're going out at this time?"
"It's urgent," Vicky replied calmly. "I need to go right away."
Though their relationship was not particularly close recently, it had at least improved from their previous confrontations.
Tyler remained silent for a few seconds. "I'll accompany you."
"It's fine. Jade will accompany me."
"Jade already finished her work," Tyler said, observing her. "Waiting for her to return will take quite some time. Don't you
have an urgent matter to attend to?"
Every time she refused to let him accompany her, he would find peculiar reasons to persuade her.
Vicky was indeed pressed for time this time, so she did not argue further.
…
The car stopped in front of Royal Club.
Tyler looked at the entertainment venue in front of him and frowned. "Why are you here at this hour?" he asked.
"To meet a client."
As soon as Tyler heard the word 'client', his expression darkened.
"No decent client would invite you to such a place at this time," he commented.
Vicky could not be bothered with him and opened the car door to exit.
Jennifer had been waiting at the entrance and greeted as she saw Vicky approach. "Vicky."
When she noticed Tyler stepping out of the car as well, Jennifer seemed slightly taken aback.
Frankly, the incidents at the wedding left her with a low opinion of Tyler. However, her good manners and gentle nature
prevented her from ignoring him or engaging in confrontations as Aurora did.
"Mister Hart," she greeted him with a cold tone.
Tyler remained silent as he was always quite indifferent to anyone other than Vicky.
Loving You In Secret Chapter 1710-Aurora had devised countless strategies to torment Tyler. For instance, during their meals, she would have Tyler watch
from the sidelines. They would have cold drinks under the scorching sun, and she would even assign him childishly
mundane tasks like serving food and pouring wine, treating him as if he were a waiter.
Vicky allowed Aurora to do as she pleased without intervening.
After several days of these antics, Tyler remained unfazed while Aurora started to tire herself out. Compared to the
torment Tyler endured in the past, Aurora's choices hardly caused any discomfort.
Aurora's goal was to make Tyler feel uncomfortable, aiming to make him suffer as she had believed Vicky had. However,
Tyler remained unresponsive, which made Aurora lose interest in her endeavors.
Recently, Aurora received a new script, so she was more focused on studying her lines at home and no longer wanted to
waste her energy on annoying him.
Vicky and Jennifer walked ahead, all while discussing Willow's situation and the rudeness of this troublesome couple.
"Vicky, that man was merely acting on impulse, but the real troublemaker is the heiress. She's convinced that Willow
seduced her husband and has threatened to teach her a lesson she'll never forget. She's unreasonable," Jennifer added.
Dealing with difficult clients was one thing, but facing someone so irrational was another.
Anyone who frequented this entertainment club was either rich or influential.
As soon as they entered the club, many people recognized Tyler. A well-dressed man came up and warmly greeted Tyler.
"Mister Hart, is that really you? Are you here for work, or are you here to have fun? The owner of this club is my friend. Let
me have some drinks sent over!"
Tyler politely declined. "No, thank you."
The man did not insist and exchanged a few more pleasantries with Tyler before leaving.
Before reaching their reserved private room, they encountered numerous people who recognized Tyler. Even Vicky
became the target of flattering attention.
Seeing that they were running late, Vicky gave Tyler an ultimatum. "Either you stop following us, or you find a way to make
yourself unrecognizable."
Tyler remained silent for a few seconds, then made a call to have a pair of large sunglasses delivered. Fortunately, the
lenses were large enough to cover most of his face.
With the sunglasses on, the harassment finally ceased.
When she saw Tyler still following them, Jennifer finally asked, "Vicky, why is he following us?"
"Let him be. Just consider him our bodyguard."
Jennifer cautiously glanced in Tyler's direction. With the sunglasses on, he did fit the role of a bodyguard well with his
aura.
Upon arriving at the private room's entrance, Vicky lightly knocked on the door.
"Come in," came the voice of a female, drawling as she spoke.
Vicky pushed the door open and entered the room.
A woman, just shy of thirty, reclined arrogantly on the couch. While she had a decent appearance, her sharp demeanor
detracted from her beauty. Apart from her, there was a man in his thirties who sat beside her, nodding and agreeing with
everything she said.
Vicky greeted the woman, "Missus Ridge…"
"Don't call me Missus Ridge. You can call me Miss Thompson," interrupted the woman with a domineering tone. "A person
like him who married into my family has no right to make me take his last name."
Hearing this, the man sitting beside her dared not speak a word.
Vicky corrected herself, saying, "Miss Thompson. I'm here today regarding the matter involving our employee."
Miss Thompson lifted her chin arrogantly. "Are you here to apologize for that sl*t?"
Vicky smiled. "It is our fault that you weren't satisfied with our service. We'd like to apologize—"
Miss Thompson interrupted impolitely again. "She seduced my husband, and you didn't even mention it. Do you think your
employee did nothing wrong?!"
