Tara wept. “Odell, are you in love with another woman?”

Tara sniffled and continued in a sobbing tone, “Odell, why won’t you marry me?” She shot a soft gaze at him.

Odell was displeased by the request and furrowed his brows.

She immediately explained, “I know it has only been four months since Sylvia has been gone, and the timing is inappropriate, but you have to work and you need someone to take care of the kids and Grandmother at home. By marrying me, I can share your burden rightfully, or else people will keep talking about it.” In the end, she lowered her head and feigned a sorrowful look. Odell asked, “Who’s talking about it?” Tara pursed her lips in silence. “Is it Aunt Tonya? Or someone else?”.
