The teachers exchanged looks, momentarily unable to respond.

They couldn't understand why Simon had such hostility toward Miles.

With no one challenging him, Simon felt more justified and continued, "As the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Miles is just a hopeless underachiever. How intelligent can his sister really be? There's no way they cracked this problem independently." Frank shot back, "Then who do you think solved it?"

Simon frowned, grumbling in irritation, "Who knows..."

Leo, who had been quiet, shot Simon a displeased glance and spoke up coldly, "There's nothing wrong with Miles's intelligence. He used to be very exceptional, but something must have happened to him, causing him to lose interest in his studies.

"As teachers, it's our duty to always care for our students' well-being and to assist them promptly with their issues. We shouldn't look down on them just because their grades have slipped."

Upon hearing this, Simon feigned a fearful expression and protested, "How could this be considered slander? Mr. Harrington, please don't wrong me!"

The office was filled with endless arguments. Miles's face fell.

They could look down on him, but not on Audrey.

Not wanting Audrey to be looked down upon, Miles decided to knock on the office door himself.

Upon hearing the knock, Leo and Simon paused their argument.

Leo cleared his throat and said, "Come in, please."

With permission granted, Miles entered the office with Audrey.

Simon's frown deepened when he saw Miles enter the office with a gorgeous girl.

Fuming from Leo's public

dressed, "Miles! You're not

dressing-down, Simon banged the desk and

acting like a student at all. Not only are you neglecting your studies, but now you're dating and bringing your girlfriend here. What are you trying to prove?"

Audrey couldn't stand it any longer. She didn't know about Miles being insulted on the school forum before she came.

It was only after arriving that she vaguely heard about it from other students.

Now hearing Simon's blatant and veiled criticism of Miles, she felt even more upset.

She immediately spoke up, "Excuse me, sir, but isn't it a bit too much to accuse my brother of dating without knowing the facts?"

'Brother? So this pretty girl isn't Miles's girlfriend? But instead, Miles's sister?' Simon thought. He was left speechless and blushing, unable to argue back.

After all, he did assume Miles was in a relationship because of his bias against Miles.

Hearing what Audrey said, Leo eagerly approached to greet her.

Leo said, "Are you the genius student who solved the bonus question using high-energy physics? I'm really sorry. I should have personally come to meet you earlier. If I had, this misunderstanding wouldn't have happened.

"Are you a student at Willowdale University? Is your major physics?"

In Leo's view, only a student from the physics department of Willowdale University could understand high-energy physics so profoundly.

"No." Audrey calmly shook her head. "I went to a university in Riverdale, and studied design, but only for half a semester. After that, I got busy with work and took a break from school."

Leo couldn't believe his ears.

He thought she was a top student. At the very least, he thought she was a genius with significant academic achievements, but it turned out she hadn't even finished college.

A student who barely attended college had a better understanding of high-energy physics than he did.

She must either be an extraordinary genius, or she was simply fabricating things.

He had been teaching for many years and was confident he couldn't misjudge someone, but Audrey's confidence made him uncertain.

Seeing Simon remaining silent, Audrey deliberately provoked, "What's wrong? Afraid to bet?"

Simon couldn't stand being provoked.

On a whim, he immediately retorted, "Why not? But he's a fool to begin with, so admitting it won't be a loss. Unless, of course, you make him drop out!"

Leo thought, 'Is he trying to expel Miles? Isn't this taking things a bit too far?'

Leo didn't expect Simon to say something like that. His face turned grim, and he was just about to intervene.

"Sure," Audrey agreed without a hint of hesitation, her face calm and composed.

For a moment, several teachers standing by all furrowed their brows.

This bet was way too reckless. It was like gambling with the future.

But while the teachers were worried, the person involved, Miles, wasn't worried at all.

He knew there was no chance Audrey would lose with her abilities. Her actions were not a frivolous gamble with his future.

She genuinely wanted to protect him and win back respect for him.

After betting with Simon, Audrey didn't immediately pick up Leo's test papers. Instead, she politely asked, "Mr. Harrington, can I answer all these questions?"

"Of course, you can," Leo happily agreed.

It was a good opportunity for him to see the true abilities of this young girl.

After confirming that she could approach the questions freely, Audrey picked up a pen and began.

With a stern expression, he huffed and reprimanded, "If you're not performing well, you can't blame others for underestimating you." Miles stubbornly retorted, "Who says I'm not performing well?"

Simon sneered with disdain and

deliberately said, "If you're so confident, I won't say much. As tong as you make it into the top ten for this month's exam, I'll apologize for underestimating you. Deal?"

"Sure, it's a deal!" Miles agreed almost without hesitation.

He couldn't back down, or he'd be letting down Audrey, who did her best to protect his reputation.

Simon didn't expect Miles to actually have the courage to agree, so he laughed mockingly, "Fine, I'll wait to see your improvement."

He didn't believe that Miles could completely transform in just a month.

Even though their school wasn't ranked very high in the city, it was still a well-known one with plenty of high-achieving students.
