Ch. 341..350

Chapter 341

Leila hesitated for the first time.

She thought those four words could be said to anyone, but when it came to Owen, she found herself unable

to.

Kieran urged, "Are you ready? It's time to start screen sharing."

Raeyon egged on, "Come on; do it. Or are you scared?"

"Who's scared? Let's do it." Leila wasn't going to swallow it, so she quickly dialed the phone.

The phone only rang twice before it was answered.

Taking a deep breath, she blurted out, "I am into you."

As soon as she finished speaking, Leila hung up right away, not giving Owen any chance to respond.

Kieran, who had hoped Leila would chat a bit more so they could include it in a trending topic, was left speechless.

Everyone present was taken aback.

When he took the call, Owen was attending an awards ceremony with his agent, Victor Bower.

The sudden confession to lose his normally composed manner. He grabbed his suit jacket from the chair and headed outside.

He was so flustered that he almost stumbled in his haste.

Countless cameras immediately turned to capture him.

Victor, startled, hurried after him and whispered, "Owen, what are you doing? The ceremony isn't over yet. Where are you going?"

Nobody could foresee what nasty rumors would be spread by the media if he ran away now.

That was definitely not okay.

Owen's heart was in turmoil.

His mind was filled with Leila's words: I am into you.

Right now, he couldn't care less about the consequences of leaving the awards ceremony early.

Victor held onto him tightly with a hint of panic on his face. "Owen, I know you're not the type to act impulsively. What exactly happened?"

If it was an unavoidable emergency he could let Owen leave and immediately start arranging a PR plan to prevent others from using this incident against Owen

Owen exhaled, his breathing somewhat rapid, and his voice hoarse. "I need to go back to the company to find Leila."

Victor was taken aback.

He should have guessed earlier that the only person who could make Owen lose his cool was Leila.

Although he was unclear about what

exactly had happened to make

Owen so anxious, Victor said honestly, "Even if you go back to the company now, you won't see Leila."

Owen frowned slightly.

Victor continued, "Leila has started filming the second episode of Supergalactic Idol today. Are you in such a rush because something happened during the recording?"

"Recording..." Upon hearing this, Owen suddenly stopped.

Meanwhile, the game involving the nine people was still ongoing.

Raeyon looked at Leila with a mischievous grin and probed, "Leila, who did you call just now? Why is

there only the word 'Owen'? Is it a special friend?"

Leila didn't care to be polite and immediately retorted, "None of your damn business."

Raeyon was taken aback.

She bit her lip, forced a smile, and muttered under her breath, "Just checking. Why are you so

aggressive? Is there really something going on?"

Leila immediately retorted.

Audrey held her back, signaling not to lower herself to Raeyon's level.

Leila let out a cold snort and sat down without resistance.

Seeing how close the two of them were, Raeyon scoffed in disdain.

Kieran stepped in just in time and said, "Alright, let's continue with the game."

"Finally, it's my turn." Raeyon eagerly grabbed the bottle, looking ready and scheming.

Chapter 342

Leila had a bad feeling and nudged Audrey beside her worriedly, whispering, "Audie, I think Raeyon's targeting you. Be careful."

"I know; it's fine." Audrey chuckled softly, indicating for Leila to stay calm.

Seeing her composed demeanor, clearly having predicted Raeyon's bad intentions all along, Leila breathed a sigh of relief.

Audrey was indeed unruffled.

Since she agreed to join the game, she was ready to face whatever came her way.

If Raeyon really ended up picking her, she would definitely make Raeyon regret it.

Raeyon started spinning the bottle.

Her gaze was fixed intently on the bottle, not bothering to hide her intentions.

Everyone's eyes were on the bottle.

Round and round it went, gradually slowing down.

Just as the bottle was about to point at Leila, Raeyon suddenly lunged forward, pretending to accidentally

fall onto the coffee table, stopping the bottle with a gentle press.

The bottle ended up pointing at Audrey.

Raeyon pretended, rubbing her calf and complaining, "Oh, my leg suddenly cramped, and it still hurts a bit."

Everyone looked at her, thinking, 'Does she think we are fools?'

Not even the livestream channel's viewers could take it any longer.

[Damn! Raeyon is definitely picking on Audie on purpose. That's sickening.]

[That's just shameless. This round shouldn't count, right?]

[It shouldn't count. We can't let someone get away with ignoring the rules like that.]

The arguing got intense, and even Raeyon's fans on the livestream channel didn't dare to speak up for her.

After all, even her fans thought her behavior was a bit disgraceful.

Leila stood up abruptly with her hands on her hips and said assertively, "Raeyon, you can't do that. This round doesn't count. Let's redo it."

Raeyon blinked innocently, carefully

rubbing her calf, and said with feigned innocence, "I didn't do it on purpose. My leg was cramped Redoing it wouldn't be fair to the other players, right?"

Audrey looked at her with a calm expression.

Meeting her gaze, Raeyon felt as if she was being seen through.

Her heart fluttered with panic, but her tone became even more resolute. If you can't afford to play don't start in the first place. Now? that you've lost and you want a do-over, what's the point of playing? It's not fun like this."

Alistair had long found Raeyon annoying. With a cold expression, he thought about standing up for Audrey.

But Audrey gently tugged on his sleeve and asked Raeyon, "I never said I wouldn't play. What do you want me to do? Truth or dare?"

"Shall I choose for you?" Raeyon's

eyes lit up. She said with feigned generosity, "I don't want to make things difficult for you either. So let's go with 'truth'. How about that? Are you up for the game?"

Audrey spoke in an indifferent tone, "Why not? Ask ahead."

A gleam of mischief flashed in Raeyon's eyes. She leaned on the table, excited, and asked, "Alright, I'm

not holding back. I want to know how many men you have been with."

Everyone froze for a moment.

Raeyon added, "Just to clarify, I'm asking about men, not boyfriends. To put it simply, how many guys have you slept with?"

Since the game began, Raeyon had posed the most personal and shocking question so far.

Everyone present, along with the viewers on the livestream channel, was momentarily dumbfounded. Everyone thought Raeyon was using this chance to get back at Audrey.

[I feel like rushing in and slapping Raeyon across the face. That bitch! It's just a game. Why does she ask such personal questions? She's shameless.]

[Audie, if you can't afford to play it, you can just admit defeat.]

[Who are you talking about? If you can, go ahead and tell us about your privacy to entertain us.]

[This has nothing to do with whether one can afford to play or not; this issue is simply a matter of disrespect.]

[Why do people still freak out over this topic nowadays? What a prude!]

Chapter 343

The comments were overwhelming.

Even Paula couldn't stand it and whispered, "Isn't this question going a bit too far?"

"Just stay out of it," Yulia tugged at her sleeve and whispered. "Audie's the one getting embarrassed anyway."

They could just enjoy the show.

Audrey maintained a calm face and said evenly, "One."

Hearing this, Raeyon immediately asked, "No way, Audie. Even if you can't afford to play, there's no need to lie.

"It's not the ancient era anymore. Even if you really have several men, no one would accuse you of being unfaithful and punish you. Lying isn't really worth it."

Audrey glanced at her calmly and said, "I'm not lying."

"Hah." Raeyon laughed coldly. "Everybody knows you had a boyfriend for years before you got married. How could you possibly have only been with one guy?"

Before Audrey could answer, Raeyon sneered and added with a wicked grin, "Are you and your current husband in a sexless marriage? Or are you staying chaste for your ex?"

Raeyon was malicious and eager to put Audrey in the center of controversy with every word she spoke. The other players showed expressions of disdain.

Offending someone like that was absolutely gross.

But quite a few spectators were siding with Raeyon.

[I also think Audie is lying. There's no way she's only been with one guy.]

[Honestly, if she'd said two, I'd admire her boldness. Saying just one is... Ugh, I'm starting to find it

pointless to be her fan.]

[She can't even admit her past—it's clear things between Audie and her ex ended badly.]

[I wonder what Audie's husband would think if he watched this show. He got deceived to marry such a loose woman.]

[You shouldn't be so jealous of Audie. Having one ex doesn't make her a loose woman. What does that make Raeyon with all her promiscuous history?]

[Fans of a prostitute pretending to be random viewers on the live stream channel-so disgusting.] The comments kept pouring in.

"Audie, why aren't you speaking up?" Raeyon asked softly, watching Audrey with ease and a smile on her lips. "You are aware that there are repercussions if you are caught lying, right?" en FindNovel

Audrey brushed her silky hair back and said calmly, "Sorry, I'm quite traditional and conservative. I don't have sex before getting married. I mean it when I say I have only been with a man."

Her words caught everyone off guard.

Everyone started to ponder.

Some people thought Audrey's self-respect was admirable, while others thought she was just pretending.

[She is still playing the chastity card at such an age. Is she asking for trouble?"

[To be honest, I used to like Audie, but now she seems very outdated and unfavorable.]

[Come on. Audie is just respecting herself; she's not asking you to do the same. Stop being dramatic.]

As expected, the comment section erupted in arguments again.

In the lounge, the other game players looked at Raeyon with a sense of schadenfreude.

They were all smart enough to catch that Audrey's remarks were aimed at Raeyon.

Raeyon had a reputation for being promiscuous. Though still

unmarried, no one knew how m.ne

men she had been with, and she might even be proud of it.

Raeyon also felt that Audrey was subtly criticizing her.

But she didn't dare show it and instead said with a grim face, "I don't believe you've really only been with one guy."

Audrey, out of patience, replied coldly, "I don't care if you believe it or not as long as my husband does."

When she said that, Leila sharply noticed a flash of pride and smugness in the usually calm and aloof eyes of Alistair.

Leila was taken aback.

Chapter 344

Raeyon couldn't accept letting Audrey off so easily and wanted to press the issue further.

Leila eagerly grabbed the bottle on the table and said, "It's my turn to play. You guys sit down quickly." Without giving Raeyon a chance to speak, she picked up the bottle and spun it.

Seeing this, Raeyon decided not to say anything more and just sat down quietly.

A few seconds later, the spinning bottle pointed directly at her.

Raeyon's face froze, and her smile became very stiff.

Leila rubbed her hands with a mischievous grin and asked, "Raeyon, truth or dare?"

Raeyon knew Leila and Audrey were close friends.

Having just played a joke on Audrey, she feared Leila might target her. Nervously, she said, "I'll...choose 'dare'."

Leila grinned slyly and pointed at a cameraman nearby, saying, "Then I won't make it hard for you - just give this big guy a peck.

Raeyon looked at the cameraman Leila pointed out.

The man should be approaching fifty years old, with a portly figure, balding, and as soon as he saw her, he revealed a set of large yellowed teeth, grinning at her with an insatiable leer.

Raeyon was horrified.

Her stomach churned, and she almost threw up right then and there.

[What the heck! Is Leila crazy? Raeyon's a public figure; she can't just kiss someone on a show.]

[That's such an outrageous demand. She's clearly targeting Raeyon on purpose.]

Raeyon's fans were furious, hurling all sorts of nasty insults at Leila, only to be muted by the system just seconds later.

The cameraman looked at Raeyon's stunning smile and joked, "Wow, I didn't expect to get this lucky on a show. Raeyon, I'm your fan. If you kiss me, I swear I'd never wash my face again."

As he spoke, he even started walking toward Raeyon.

Raeyon was so scared she took a step back, eyes wide with fear. "Who'd want to kiss you?"

Leila let out a cold laugh and mocked, "Raeyon, are you going to chicken out? If you don't kiss, you'll face

the prank penalty. If you happen to draw the punishment of stripping in public, don't blame me.'

Hearing this, Raeyon shivered, nearly fainting on the spot out of anger.

She knew Leila was maliciously getting back at her.

Yet she couldn't refuse.

In the end, Raeyon bit the bullet and went along with it.

Raeyon was completely repulsed, but she had to endure it in silence because she was afraid of upsetting the cameraman and didn't want to damage her already bad reputation.

The game quickly moved on to the next round.

The bottle ended up in Audrey's hands.

Audrey shook the bottle slightly, staring directly at Raeyon.

IMS

Under the intense gaze, Raeyon felt unnerved and gritted her teeth hard.

'There's nothing to worry about,' Audrey thought. 'The bottle couldn't possibly stop at me.' But the very next second, the spinning bottle slowly came to a stop, pointing straight at her.

This time, Raeyon couldn't even pretend to smile.

Leila clapped her hands in

Vol

excitement and teased, "Wow, Raeyon, you've got some luck today. What a waste if you don't buy a

lottery ticket."

Raeyon was annoyed.

She bit her teeth angrily, starting to hold a grudge against Leila.

Audrey propped her chin with one hand, grinning, and asked, "Raeyon, truth or dare?"

Raeyon hesitated for a moment before deciding to go with "dare".

She wouldn't dare choose "truth", given the many secrets she couldn't afford to let out. Or she would be doomed.

Even with "dare", Raeyon couldn't fully relax.

She was worried that Audrey might intentionally make things hard for her.

Everyone was waiting to see Audrey's comeback against Raeyon.

Chapter 345

Under everyone's gaze, Audrey calmly said, "My request is simple. Simply send a message to invite the person you have marked as 'sweetheart' on WhatsApp to dinner this weekend."

Upon hearing this, Raeyon did not relax; instead, she became even more vigilant, hesitatingly asking, "Are you sure that's all you want me to do?"

She thought, 'This seems way too easy; this must be a catch.'

"I'm sure," Audrey said with a cryptic smile.

Audrey's smile caused Raeyon to grow even more uncertain and suspicious.

Leila purposely provoked Raeyon, "You don't dare do something this simple?"

"I didn't say I wouldn't do it," Raeyon quickly agreed, afraid that Audrey might change her mind.

She took out her phone to send the message.

Kieran suddenly spoke up, "Leila just made her call publicly. To be fair, Raeyon, your chat should also be projected on the screen for everyone to see."

Raeyon's expression changed immediately. "No way! WhatsApp isn't like a contact list. What if my privacy gets revealed?"

She would never agree to make it public.

Hearing Raeyon using "privacy" as an excuse, Leila laughed mockingly and said disdainfully, "Now you

care about privacy? Weren't you the one who pried Audie's privacy earlier?"

Audrey didn't give Raeyon a chance to refuse and deliberately asked, "Raeyon, why are you so worried? Do you have a secret you can't share with everyone?"

A playful glint appeared in her eyes as she considerately added, "If that's the case, we can totally understand. Just admit defeat to me in public and that's it."

Raeyon was taken aback.

To admit defeat to Audrey would be worse than death for her.

With no other options, Raeyon could only brace herself and first open a chat window with someone, and then, as requested, allow the camera to cast the screen.

Just as she made sure everything was ready and was about to send the message, an exclamation sounded, "Oh no!"

Leila pretended to lose her balance and fell onto Raeyon's back, intentionally bumping her arm.

Raeyon's phone slipped from her hand, fell under the table, and the screen went black.

Leila shrugged innocently, imitating Raeyon's earlier tone while saying, "Sorry, I didn't mean to." Raeyon gave her a subtle look of annoyance, but she acted like everything was okay to keep up her reputation. "No worries," she said.

All she wanted now was to wrap up this part quickly.

But just as she retrieved her phone and instinctively opened WhatsApp again.

She noticed that her twenty-something sweethearts on WhatsApp were displayed on the big screen. Raeyon was dumbfounded.

It was over. When Leila bumped her just now, she accidentally closed the private chat window. Now, quite coincidentally, the phone screen showed the WhatsApp contacts section.

In a flash, Raeyon's breath hitched, and she hastily turned off her phone's screen.

But everyone had already seen it.

Leila didn't give Raeyon a chance to make excuses, exaggeratedly saying, Wow, I never thought Raeyon had over twenty boyfriends at the same time; she's quite the player, huh?"

Even though they knew Raeyon loved having fun, they still found it unbelievable to see so many 'sweetheart' contacts.

Feeling their gazes, Raeyon weakly explained, "Having a contact labeled as 'sweetheart' doesn't mean they're boyfriends. It's just a polite term. Even my girlfriends and I calDeach other sweetheart."

Leila wasn't convinced and bluntly asked, "So, are those sweethearts all female friends, Raeyon?"

"Well, not exactly," Raeyon said awkwardly, clearly not daring to confirm. "They are simply very close friends; what's the big deal?"

Leila snorted knowingly.

She hadn't said anything directly, yet it felt like she had said it all.

Raeyon was furious.

Chapter 346

A few minutes later, "Raeyon Is a Time Management Master" was trending on Twitter, drawing a lot of new viewers to the livestream.

Raeyon was completely unaware of this. Nervously, she invited one of her so-called "sweethearts" for a weekend dinner, only to find she had been blocked.

The red exclamation mark on the public screen felt like a slap in Raeyon's face.

Even though she seemed pitiful, no one present cared about her situation. Deep down, they all thought she had it coming.

To break the awkward silence, Kieran stepped in once more and announced that the game would continue.

He even thoughtfully asked, "Raeyon, do you want to keep playing?"

After everything that had happened, Raeyon should probably know better and say no to continue. Kieran was just giving her an easy out.

Unexpectedly, Raeyon didn't appreciate the gesture at all. With a defiant look, she said, "Of course, I want to continue. I haven't had enough fun yet."

She was determined to wait for the second round and get back at them for the earlier humiliation.

"Alright." Kieran nodded reluctantly, passing the game bottle to Alistair. "It's Alistair's turn to spin the bottle."

Everyone's attention shifted back to the game.

Raeyon glanced at Alistair sitting across from her, taking a moment to touch up her makeup with her compact.

She had been crying earlier. Her eyes were watery, giving her a delicate beauty that invoked sympathy. Unfortunately, Alistair didn't even glance at her before he started spinning the bottle right away.

When the bottle pointed at Raeyon again, everyone else couldn't help but laugh.

Raeyon was distressed.

She never expected it would land on her again; she suddenly blurted out, "How come? You three must be targeting me deliberately."

Raeyon couldn't believe she was chosen three times in a row.

Moreover, the three people who picked her were all sitting next to Audrey.

Raeyon believed it had to be those three plotting against her behind the scenes.

Thinking of this, she angrily stomped her foot and pointed at Audrey, demanding, "Audie, tell me; were you the one who instructed them to do this?"

Seeing her accuse Audrey again,

Alistair said coldly, "Just quit if you can't afford to play the game. No one cares about your shady secrets, and no one would go to great lengths just to mess with you"

He exuded a chilly aura and spoke in a firm, icy tone that showed no respect.

Raeyon, who usually could win men over, found herself completely overwhelmed, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Helena impatiently tapped the table and asked, "Raeyon, are you going to play or not? Stop wasting everyone's time."

"Yes, I'll play." Raeyon gritted her teeth.

She didn't want to leave so defeated,

so she could only apologize to Alistair quietly, "I'm sorry, Alistair, I

wasn't targeting you. I lost my cool. I hope you won't take it to heart."

en FindNovel

Alistair let out a dismissive snort, completely unaffected by her attempt to soothe him.

Raeyon wasn't upset; instead, she smiled warmly and said, "Alistair, I'll choose 'dare' again."

She thought to herself, 'No matter how sharp-tongued Alistair might be, he's a man. Even if he's a bit harsh, he can't think of too extreme dares.'

But the next second, she heard

Alistair say, "Use your most sincere

tone to say a hundred times to

Audie: I'm sorry, I have a foul mouth. I shouldn't have slandered you like that!' Can you do it?"

Raeyon cursed inwardly, 'What a jerk! He's even worse than Leila.'

Chapter 347

Raeyon bit her lip, almost in tears. "Alistair, isn't a hundred a bit much? Besides, it will just waste everyone's time.

She wanted to drag everyone into it.

Yelimia said smilingly, "We're not in a hurry; take your time."

"I'm not in a hurry either." Leila joined in the fun.

Helena, playing with a pair of ornamental walnuts, said enthusiastically, "I've never heard so many apologies in my life. I'm only getting this treat because of Audie."

Seeing everyone looking like they were enjoying the show and had no intention of helping, Raeyon, filled with grievances, could only say sorry a hundred times before running away, crying and covering her face. Raeyon's fans couldn't help but feel upset for her.

[They're intentionally bullying Raeyon; it's just too much.]

[As a grown man, Alistair shouldn't be giving a young girl such a hard time. It's really disappointing.] [[Why does Raeyon still have followers? What's wrong with these people to follow someone so despicable?]

[Are you saying that only she could target others but not the other way around? Sure enough, her fans are just like her, unable to tell right from wrong.]

[Get out of here; don't spoil the mood.]

Just like that, Raeyon's fans had just uttered a few defiant phrases when they were confronted by the online users on the live stream channel, causing her fans to leave the channel in embarrassment.

As it had gotten to this point, Audrey thought the game couldn't continue.

Surprisingly, Kieran sat down where Raeyon had been and said, "Seeing you guys play makes me want

to join. How about we play a few more rounds?"

With the show's producer having spoken, no one else to say no.

Everyone had no choice but to keep playing the game.

With sharp perception, Paula handed the bottle to Kieran, saying, "Kieran, we've all taken a turn before; how about you start this time?"

"Alright," Kieran said without any hesitation.

Before spinning the bottle, he glanced at where Alistair was sitting.

Seeing this, Audrey felt an ominous feeling growing even stronger inside.

Even though he didn't look at her, she felt incredibly anxious.

Kieran laughed heartily and eagerly asked, "Alistair, would you like to choose 'truth' or 'dare'?"

Alistair didn't want his truth to be overheard by outsiders, so he decisively chose 'dare'.

Kieran grinned mischievously and said, "Then your punishment is to kiss a lady here for one minute."

As soon as he said that, Helena clapped her hands and cheered, "Wow, so Kieran's here to bring a treat for everyone."

Apart from Leila and Yelimia, the other players looked expectantly.

It was Alistair, after all. Even if it was just a game, getting a kiss from him was totally worth it.

They wondered whom he'd choose.

Audrey's eyes darkened, and she finally understood where her uneasy feeling came from. Alistair definitely wouldn't choose anyone else.

Just thinking about kissing Alistair in front of so many people made her agitated.

She thought, 'No, I can't just sit here and do nothing. I need to find an excuse to leave quickly.'

"This won't work. Pick another one." Alistair

ended him.

expression wed his brows, his

ntense, and a cold net

Noticing his anger, Kieran was a bit puzzled.

He was obviously setting up an opportunity for the boss. He didn't know why he wasn't pleased.

Alistair's eyes flashed with a hint of coldness at Kieran's lack of reaction. "As a married man, isn't it

inappropriate for me to kiss a lady in this kind of situation?" he asked, clenching his teeth.

Kieran felt a chill run down his spine under Alistairs gaze, suddenly realizing his mistake. He quickly changed his words, "Sorry, my bad. I didn't think it through. How about doing 50 squats while holding a lady from the audience instead? Is that okay?"

Alistair subtly glanced at Audrey and nodded blankly.

Seeing this, many viewers on the livestream channel expressed their annoyance.

[Alistair is being so bossy. Didn't Raeyon just kiss a married man? Now it's his turn, and he refuses to kiss.]

[Obviously, they were deliberately giving Raeyon a hard time earlier.]

[Raeyon has made some mistakes, but do they need to humiliate her like that? It's so disappointing.] [Don't be ridiculous. What's wrong with Alistair not wanting to kiss anyone other than his wife?]

[If I were Alistair's wife, I'd be thrilled right now. Who cares about homewreckers like Raeyon?]

Chapter 348

Although some viewers couldn't stand Alistair's request to change the penalty, most people were more upset with what Raeyon had done.

The livestream comment section erupted in arguments once more.

Alistair walked straight to Audrey.

He asked, "Audie, could you help me and go along with this punishment?"

When they saw him choose Audrey without a second thought, the others felt a bit disappointed, but they weren't surprised.

After all, among the group, Audrey interacted with Alistair the most.

With everyone watching, Audrey had no choice but to agree.

Once she agreed, Alistair lifted his arms, ready to carry her like a princess.

Audrey raised an eyebrow and casually teased, "Can you handle it? If not, just quit."

Though she looked slim, she almost weighed 110 pounds.

Alistair needed to hold her to do 50 squats.

If he couldn't hold her, falling was the least of the concerns; Alistair would probably feel embarrassed.

When Alistair heard this, his intense eyes darkened. He picked up Audrey with one arm and started doing squats.

As she was suddenly lifted into the air, Audrey was startled and clung tightly to his neck, trying to lift herself to lessen the strain.

Her ear was pressed against his chest, and through the thin fabric of his shirt, she could clearly hear his strong heartbeat and the low, even sound of his breathing.

Occasionally, his warm breath lightly brushed across her forehead, making Audrey's eyes suddenly lower as she took a deep breath and looked up to meet his gaze.

Their eyes met in the air, both a little lost.

She noticed a fine layer of sweat on Alistair's nose, the round beads making his skin almost glow.

She couldn't help but feel a little worried and softly asked, "Are you okay?"

Alistair's pupils suddenly dilated, and an indescribable gleam appeared in his eyes.

Their bodies were pressed tightly together, and Audrey immediately noticed the change in him.

He actually had an erection.

In an instant, Audrey was so startled that she felt tense.

She could feel his body getting warmer.

"Wow, Alistair is amazing, 46 squats without even breaking a sweat," Leila shouted out excitedly.

Audrey suddenly snapped back, realizing she and Alistair were still on the show.

If the camera captured Alistair's reaction...

Audrey thought, 'Oh my, just thinking about the possibility makes me feel mortified.'

She tried to shield him with her body.

But the more she twisted around, the more intense Alistair's reaction became.

With only a few squats left, Audrey was so tense her toes curled up, wishing desperately for Alistair to disappear.

"48. 49." Those unaware continued counting diligently. "50."

Audrey thought desperately, 'I'm

done for Just as Audrey was losing hope, the lights above suddenly dimmed. All the lights in the recording studio went out

"Whoa, what's happening? Why can't I see anything?"

The power was out. Audrey's eyes lit up with surprise. Just as she was about to speak, someone gripped her wrist.

In the darkness, she couldn't see clearly who was holding her, but she could recognize the unique scent belonging to Alistair.

The hallway was dark, with only the sign for the emergency exit casting a faint green glow.

Audrey hadn't fully adjusted to the darkness when she felt a hand support the back of her head. Alistair trapped her against the cold wall and kissed her.

Though she couldn't see, Audrey's

sense of hearing and touch became more sensitive. She shivered alt over, and her trembling hands wrapped around Alistair's shoulders

Their lips and tongues intertwined, and soon the quiet space was filled with kissing sounds.

Audrey, weak in the knees from the kiss, leaned against Alistair's shoulder, gasping. "You're...being too reckless. What if someone sees us?"

Her face was burning with heat, but she didn't want to part from Alistair. They held each other tightly.

Alistair wrapped his arm around her

slim waist and sighed as he tried to hold back the surge of desire. But the light scent from the person he was holding made the veins in his neck throb.

He took a deep breath, his voice low and hoarse. "No one will see us."

Her face turned red from his kisses, her eyes shimmered, and her lips were rosy as if she were a vision of unparalleled beauty.

He couldn't bear to let anyone see her.

Audrey didn't trust him. Just as she was about to remind him they should return, she heard a series of

hurried footsteps echoing down the corridor.

Someone was coming, and it was more than one person.

Chapter 349

Audrey was startled with wide eyes.

Without thinking further, she grabbed Alistair's arm and ran down the fire escape.

Alistair shook his head frustratedly, following her.

The two ran out of the recording building and found the streets brightly lit, with many pedestrians.

With so many people around, Audrey felt too shy to keep holding Alistair's hand.

But as soon as she let go, Alistair grabbed her hand back and pointed to the small park nearby, signaling Audrey to follow him.

The park had a small grove, a favorite spot for young couples to meet up at night.

Even though they were a legally married couple, being pulled by Alistair to this secluded area where they could still hear the far-off sound of traffic gave Audrey a thrill of embarrassment.

When they entered the grove, Alistair pressed her against a tree, kissing her with an exhilarating intensity that filled her mind with excitement and nervousness.

Her breathing quickened, and she pushed against Alistair's shoulder, leaning on him uneasily and saying, "Stop it; let's hurry back. If someone finds out we've snuck out, it'll be bad.'

If the show crew found out they snuck out for a private meeting, they'd definitely gossip about them.

Alistair gently stroked her hair and softly reassured her, "Don't worry; the power will be back in a few more minutes."

Hearing this, Audrey looked up at him curiously and asked, "How do you know how long the power will be out?"

She wondered if this power outage had been his way of arranging a private meeting with her on purpose. Thinking of this possibility, Audrey felt a bit frustrated. With so much equipment and so many people from the production crew, the loss they suffered from a few minutes of a power outage could be significant.

In her opinion, Alistair's behavior was nothing different from that of a clueless ruler from ancient times, and she had become the seducing woman now.

He answered, "The production crew sent me a message saying the equipment needs maintenance, so the power will be off for about ten minutes."

Audrey felt relieved, upon hearing that he didn't have the power turned off on purpose.

She played with his hand and softly asked, "So why did you suddenly come to the set? I was surprised when I saw you this afternoon."

Alistair suddenly raised his hand to touch his nose at the question.

He was too embarrassed to admit

he came because he was jealous, so he said Kieran asked me to fill in for a mentor who was scheduled by the staff but was unexpectedly unable to come."

Audrey gave a knowing smile, wanting to ask more, but then her lips were sealed.

He said, "Honey, time is precious; let's do something else instead."

Audrey was speechless.

Alistair said he would take Audrey back before the power came on.

In the end, it wasn't until two minutes after the power came back that he reluctantly let her rush back to her dorm.

Fortunately, she didn't run into anyone along the way.

When she pushed open the dorm

door, she saw Leila sitting in the living room waiting for her. The moment Leila saw her, she gave a knowing look and a mischievous smile. en FindNovel

Audrey quickly diverted her gaze, not giving her a chance to speak, and hurriedly said, "The performance is tomorrow night. Get some rest and recharge."

With that, she dashed into her room without waiting for Leila to respond.

Leila thought, 'Audie came back so early? Maybe Alistair needs to up his game.'

The next morning was filled with intense training as usual.

However, Audrey and Alistair had great synergy, and with the help of skilled teammates like Leila and Yelimia, rehearsals went smoothly.

The only issue was that Alistair didn't take his eyes off her unless he had to look away.

She worried that if this continued, she wouldn't be able to keep her relationship with Alistair a secret.

In the blink of an eye, night had fallen.

The Supergalactic Idol performance was about to begin.

Chapter 350

Everyone from the Harper family was there except for Miles, who was busy with school.

Last time, Trevor only brought Miles and sat in the back, but this time he went all out, spending extra money on front-row seats.

Trevor said, "Mom and Dad, there'll be a lot of other people's fans at the event today. If you hear anyone badmouthing Audrey, just pretend you didn't hear it.

"There's no need to engage with them. Remember, we're here to support Audrey, not to cause her any trouble.

Jessica and Peter quickly nodded.

They originally thought Audrey only had a few fans, but when they arrived, they found that most of the people in the crowd were holding signs supporting her.

Seeing this, Trevor felt both moved and proud. He grabbed his parents' hands and said, "I didn't expect so many people to come for Audrey. She's really doing great."

"She deserves it." Jessica was also excited but soon calmed down. She pulled her son and husband to find seats. "Alright, let's go sit down. Don't make a fuss and embarrass Audrey."

As the three of them took their seats, Francis and Evelyn entered with Sunny.

It was Sunny's first time at such a crowded event, so Evelyn kept a close eye on him, holding him and checking on him from time to time.

Fortunately, Sunny didn't make much of a fuss and sat obediently in his seat.

The lights dimmed at the venue. Evelyn and Francis sat with Sunny between them, protecting him on both sides.

Due to the dim lighting, Jessica didn't notice Sunny.

A few minutes later, the host Jake took the stage and first invited the recently very popular team to perform a thrilling opening dance.

The atmosphere was instantly electrified. Everyone present raised their glow sticks and cheered. After the opening dance concluded, Jake took the mic again, made some customary remarks, and announced that the first one-to-one elimination round of the talent show was about to begin. Jake glanced at the script in hand and said with a smile, "The order of appearance in this battle corresponds to the order in which the contestants drew lots, so our first match is Yulia versus Helena. Please get ready."

Yulia's face instantly turned pale backstage upon hearing this.

Leila felt a pang of sympathy seeing Yulia trembling beside her.

Yulia really didn't have any chance to win Helena.

The match hadn't even started, but everyone seemed to have foreseen who would win.

Thinking about this, Leila couldn't help whispering to Audrey, "I guess Yulia's just here to be a runner-up. But with her strength, making it to the second round is already a gain.

"If you hadn't saved the day in her initial performance, she'd have been out long ago." Audrey didn't say anything, just gave Yulia a faint look.

Yulia felt they were mocking her behind her back. She clenched her fists in anger and silently held a grudge against Audrey.

Helena was the first to go on stage.

Her performance was nearly perfect. Her original song was both exciting and energizing, earning her immense rounds of applause and enthusiastic cheers.

When it was Yulia's turn, she did her best to outperform, but Helena's fans kept booing from the audience. Amidst her own anxiety, she ended up making mistakes in some of her final moves. en FindNovel

As expected, after the competition, Yulia, with her very low score, was the first contestant to be eliminated in this performance show.

Jake reassured Yulia, saying that being at the top of the online popularity list still offered her a chance for

a comeback. Perhaps Yulia could return to the stage.

Yulia's face turned paler at this remark.

Up to now, Audrey had consistently been at the top of the online popularity list.

There was no way Audrey would let her have a comeback.

Seeing the audience's mocking yet sympathetic looks, Yulia felt deeply humiliated. Before Jake could

finish his comforting words, she ran off the stage with a flushed face.

On her way

she came across staff

members who all seemed like they wanted to comfort her, which made

Yulia feel even worse. She hurried to the dressing room with her head down.

Suddenly, a pair of hands appeared in front of her, blocking her.
