“How did you know she was with Hunter? Who told you that?” Knowing that Evelyn was making things up and framing Vivian, Finnick just wished that he could get someone to tie Evelyn up so that he could avenge Vivian.

However, at the thought of Vivian’s message to him earlier, he could only subdue his rage.

“Hunter told me himself that he had already slept with Vivian. You’ve also seen it with your own eyes, haven’t you? She’s just making a monkey out of you. Don’t fall into her trap.” Plucking Finnick’s sleeves, Evelyn pressed on.

“How did you know all these things? Was it Hunter who told you everything? What’s your relationship with him, huh?” Finnick was trying to fish for some details from Evelyn.

Evelyn was unmistakably startled by Finnick’s questions. Damn, I let it slip out. How should I answer now so that Finnick wouldn’t suspect it?

Hurriedly coming up with an excuse, Evelyn replied, “Hunter and I were classmates in university. It was also me who introduced him to Vivian back then but I didn’t expect the two of them would get together. Hunter was in a bad mood after the fight with you yesterday so he called and told me about this. He even revealed to me that it was Vivian who was actively pursuing him at that time. That was how I found out.”

Barely able to cover up her story, Evelyn quickly altered the subject, “Finnick, I’ve come to find you immediately as soon as I learned about this because I fear that you would be deceived by Vivian. You have no place at all in that woman’s heart. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be with Hunter behind your back.”

So that means Hunter was initially sent by Evelyn to Vivian. And the reason he’s helping Vivian to deal with Evelyn now is that he has actually fallen for Vivian later on? Finnick speculated in secret.

Thinking of that, Finnick got jealous. Vivian belongs with me. I’ll never allow anyone to take her away from me.

Looking at the woman in front of him who had personally sent him a rival, Finnick spoke in a distant tone, “Vivian is the woman I love most in this world. So what if she’s with Hunter? I’ll definitely win her back.”

Evelyn was rooted to the ground as she heard Finnick’s words. She asked in disbelief, “Don’t you mind at all? Don’t you have a problem even with the fact that she has slept with another man?”

“Of course, I mind.” Finnick gritted his teeth. This is probably Evelyn’s sole purpose of drugging Vivian—so as to create a grudge between me and Vivian.

“Then, why are you still holding on to her?” Evelyn asked rather frantically.

“Because I love her.” Looking right into Evelyn’s eyes, Finnick stressed each of the syllables firmly. “Hence, no matter who she’s with, I’ll get her back and stay by her side. The only person who can spend a lifetime with her is me.”

How did things turn out this way? Evelyn was utterly stunned by Finnick’s words. For a while, she was in a daze and a loss for words.

“Thus, I’m warning you now, Evelyn. Don’t ever try to plot anything against Vivian, or I’ll make you pay for it!”

Finishing his spiteful words, Finnick had had enough of the disgusting face in front of him so he left his house.

If it wasn’t because Vivian wanted to deal with this matter herself, he would have taken Evelyn away and held her captive even before she could come to see him in person.

Looking at Finnick’s figure slowly disappearing from her sight, she was still troubled by the revelation that came as a crushing blow to her, keeping her completely still on the spot.

He said that he’ll win Vivian back again. He said he would be the person who would spend the rest of his life with Vivian. How can that be? It shouldn’t have turned out this way!

How can he not be infuriated after knowing that Vivian was with Hunter? How can he not let go of Vivian until now? Does he really love her so much? Even when he’s being cheated on by her?

“Argh—” Unable to repress the jealousy within her any longer, Evelyn went berserk and started shouting.

Why? Why! Who is she to deserve such devotion from Finnick? There’s no way I’m coming up short against that tr*mp in any way. Why Finnick just can’t seem to see the good in me?

Leaving the Norton Residence in a daze, Evelyn got back in Hunter’s car.

Seeing the absentminded look of Evelyn, Hunter sneered in his heart and asked deliberately, “How’s it? I saw Finnick leaving just now. Has he gone to square up with Vivian?”

“He said he doesn’t mind that Vivian has slept with you,” turning around to Hunter, Evelyn said in a very hushed tone. Then, as though she had just come back to her senses, Evelyn raised her volume and shouted in desperation, “How could he forgive her? How could he just disregard something like that?”

Disturbed by her high-pitched utterances, Hunter frowned and feigned concern as he replied, “Don’t get so worked up yet. Maybe Finnick is just tough-talking. There’s no way a man wouldn’t be bothered about such a thing.”

Hunter’s words kindled hope within Evelyn. Clumsily, she tugged at Hunter’s sleeves and demanded, “Is that for real? So he does mind, doesn’t he?”

“I can guarantee that Finnick definitely holds a grudge against this matter,” Hunter responded in a certain and confident way and handed Evelyn a cup of water. “Take a sip and calm yourself down first. We shall discuss what to do next.”

“You’re right. I can’t be panicked. I need to think about what to do next.” Taking over the cup of water, Evelyn emptied it and finally regained her composure.

Seeing as Evelyn finished the water, an indistinct smirk flashed across Hunter’s face.

“Do you have any good ideas?” Handing the cup back to Hunter, Evelyn asked for his opinion.

After fidgeting with the cup for a while, Hunter restored it to where it was and smiled at Evelyn. “Since Finnick can’t let go of Vivian, we can just let Vivian vanish into thin air. What about killing her?”

“Killing her?” Upon hearing that, the glow in Evelyn’s eyes flickered as she repeated uncertainly.

“Yes. Even though it’s impossible that Finnick doesn’t mind about this matter at all, it proves that Vivian does have a special place within his heart for him to say things as he could forgive her. Thus, as long as she’s alive, Finnick would never return to your side. It is only with Vivian’s death would you have a chance at gaining Finnick’s attention once again.”

Hunter persuaded Evelyn according to the plan.

Evelyn thought that Hunter’s words made sense as she contemplated seriously. Finnick’s attitude just then shows how captivated he is with Vivian. Only Vivian’s death can put an end to everything and only then would Finnick change his mind and come back to me.

“Alright, let’s kill her then!” Narrowing her eyes into two pointed slits, Evelyn’s tone was ruthless to the bone.

Everything went accordingly as planned but when Hunter heard Evelyn’s words, he could not feel even a wee bit of joy. As an attorney, he had seen the many vicissitudes of human nature, and yet, he had never expected that a person could be so ill-natured to such an extent.

In any case, there wasn’t really any enmity between Vivian and Evelyn. But Evelyn could turn into such a heartless person just because of one man alone.

“Well then, let’s go to your place and you’re tasked to ask Vivian out. I’ll add the substance into the water and all you need to do is to convince her to drink it.” Just as Hunter was secretly lamenting, Evelyn had already laid out the plan.

Adding substance into the water? Hunter was a little perplexed by Evelyn’s words. It surprised him that both Evelyn and Vivian were on the same page this time. It looks like Vivian’s experience of being framed has turned her into an expert.

“Sure. We’ll do it this way then. Are you going to poison her directly?” Hunter started the car as he asked.

“That’s a little too risky.” Evelyn shook her head. “I’ll knock her out first and then devise a plan to make it look like she was killed in an accident.”

Evelyn’s disclosure of her entire plan to Hunter implied that she had regarded Hunter as her ally. Since he could come up with the idea to kill Vivian, Evelyn had no reason to suspect him. Besides, she needed his help.

Hunter was after all an attorney. Things would be much easier with him around.

Upon hearing that, Hunter shot Evelyn an interesting look. Judging from her experienced way of handling it, it seems like she has been used to doing this sort of thing.

After driving home, Hunter made a call to Vivian in front of Evelyn to avoid raising her suspicion. Turning the speaker mode on, he asked Vivian to come to his house as he had something to discuss with her and Vivian agreed without any hesitation.

Noticing that Vivian’s attitude over the phone was rather fine, Evelyn asked in puzzlement, “When she found out that she was being drugged after waking up that day, didn’t she quarrel with you? Did she just accept it?”

With thoughts running in his head, Hunter pulled a face intentionally and put on a disdainful expression. “That’s exactly why I thought she wasn’t that interesting after all. I thought she was aloof initially and I didn’t expect that she was actually so hot-blooded. Now that I think about it, she might have been interested in me from the very beginning and acted cool to catch my attention, and all this while I thought I have met someone special. It turns out that she was no different from those other women I’ve encountered.”

Hunter’s remarks made Evelyn even more scornful of Vivian. My assumption about Vivian was right after all. She’s indeed a pretentious tr*mp.

“Haven’t I told you earlier? She’s just a vixen who has tons of ways to hook up with men. She must have seduced Finnick using the same way as well.”

Seeing that Evelyn’s doubts had been cleared, Hunter let out a breath of relief within himself. However, Evelyn’s comments concerning Vivian made him frown and also deepened his hatred toward Evelyn.

To shun further slanders of Evelyn about Vivian, Hunter changed the subject. “What substance are you going to use to knock her unconscious? I don’t have anything with me here.”

“Rest assured. I’ve brought it along with me.” With that, Evelyn took out a small bottle from her pocket and poured out a few pills into the glass. “Just dissolve them in the water later and let her drink it.”

“So these are?” Hunter didn’t know what pills she was trying to feed Vivian with.

“Sleeping pills.” Evelyn snickered, “They should be enough to make her snooze for a while.”

What kind of a woman would bring along sleeping pills with her everywhere she goes? Looking at the curve on Evelyn’s lips, Hunter could only feel chills down his own spine.

“Why don’t you hide inside the room first? I reckon that Vivian would be arriving in any minute now.” Calming himself down, Hunter said, “After confirming that she has gone unconscious, I’ll ask you to come out.”

“Sure.” Evelyn agreed with a nod and went into the room.

Looking at the pills in the glass and turning to look at the closed door of the room which Evelyn had just entered, Hunter’s eyes glowed with indifference. Standing up, he threw the glass into the trash can directly and went into the kitchen to get another glass that looked exactly the same. Then, he filled it with warm water and put it on the coffee table.

After getting everything done, Hunter sent a text message to Vivian to update her about Evelyn’s plan.

Very soon, Hunter heard the doorbell and hurried over to open the door. He said loudly on purpose, “Vivian, finally, here you are.”

Looking in from the door, Vivian asked in a low voice, “Where’s Evelyn?”

“Just wear my slippers. With our relationship now, it doesn’t really matter.” After saying that loudly, Hunter added in a hushed voice, “She’s in the room. Just play along later.”

Vivian nodded and walked into the living room after changing into the slippers.

Knowing that Vivian had come, Evelyn who was in the room got so excited she placed her ear against the door to listen to what was happening outside. Vivian, you’re finally falling into my hands!

“Darling, did you miss me?” Signaling Vivian to sit down on the sofa across from him, Hunter intentionally asked in a frivolous tone.

Informed that it was a ruse to deceive Evelyn, Vivian smiled and answered, “Of course, I did. What took you so long that you only contacted me now?”

“Are you blaming me now, baby? I had a case to settle but I called you right after I had finished working, so don’t be mad at me, alright?”

Even though it was only an act, hearing Hunter calling her in such a way, Vivian still felt a little awkward. Nevertheless, she cooperated fully and replied in an affected tone, “Promise you won’t do this again.”

“Alright, alright.” At that moment though, the smile on Hunter’s face was genuine. It was his first time hearing such endearing replies from Vivian, which was unexpectedly adorable.

Hearing the intimate exchanges between Vivian and Hunter, Evelyn couldn’t help but ridicule Vivian in silence. And I thought how virtuous you are, Vivian! It turns out that you’re just a desperate and unctuous tart!

Evelyn was no longer interested in listening to their conversations so she moved away from the door. No wonder Hunter kept running on about how boring and meaningless it was. Those women who had thrown themselves at him were just like Vivian at present.

The conversations between Hunter and Vivian were still ongoing in the living room. Hunter couldn’t really shift his gaze away from Vivian who was flushed, which was a rare sight to him.

While speaking, Hunter pointed at the glass on the table and whispered, “Drink a little and just pretend that you have fainted. Then, I’ll ask Evelyn to come out.”

Vivian nodded and without a second thought, she took the glass and drank half of the water in it. Looking up, she saw Hunter looking at her but within his eyes, there were some inexplicable emotions that she couldn’t make out.

“What is it? Is there any problem?” Vivian asked in bewilderment.

“Nothing. You lie down on the sofa first and I’ll get Evelyn,” Hunter shook his head as he answered.

In fact, seeing that Vivian followed his instructions and drank the water without even a second of hesitation, he was very moved all of a sudden. Regardless of whether they could be together in the end, at the very least, Vivian trusted him fully right in that instance. That was all that mattered to him.

After a while, hearing the knock on the door, Evelyn opened it, looked at Hunter who was standing outside, and asked in a low voice, “Is everything done?”

“Yes.” Hunter nodded. “She has been rendered unconscious and lying on the sofa now.”

“Are you sure?” Evelyn was still worried.

“Of course.” Hunter nodded again. “I saw her drink it with my own eyes and there was totally no response from her even after I’ve called out to her a few times.”

With a smug on her face, Evelyn wheeled out to the living room and saw that Vivian was really lying on the sofa. Beside her on the coffee table sat a glass that was half-emptied.

“Vivian? Vivian Morrison?” Moving closer to Vivian, Evelyn called out a few times as she was still edgy and afraid that she wasn’t knocked unconscious completely.

She proceeded with pushing Vivian several times and was finally relieved when she saw that there was truly no response from Vivian.

Sneering, Evelyn looked at the unconscious Vivian and mocked, “Surprised, huh? After five years, you’ve fallen into my hands once again. You were lucky to escape because Benedict was there to rescue you back then. Let me see if Lady Luck is still on your side this time!”

Evelyn reached out to touch Vivian’s face and ran her pointed nails along her cheek. Her eyes were full of jealousy as she sniggered, “I have to say that your face has grown much prettier after five years. No wonder Finnick has been so engrossed with you as soon as he returned to the country. You are the only one left in his eyes and mind.”

Hunter was standing behind and observing Evelyn’s motions in agitation. He was frightened by the possibility of Evelyn hurting Vivian impulsively. After all the time spent together, he realized eventually that Evelyn was just like a bomb that could go off at any second.

Raising Vivian’s chin with her index finger, Evelyn’s tone turned brutal out of the blue. “Nonetheless, what use is there even if you’ve become prettier? Very soon, Finnick would no longer be able to see this face of yours anymore. But don’t you worry. After all, we’ve known each other for so many years. I’ll grant you a quick way to die and I won’t make you suffer too much. And when you’ve finally disappeared from this world completely, Finnick will notice that there’s still me by his side. The one person who would sacrifice everything just for him.”

Pulling her hand back, Evelyn could already visualize the happy and contented life that she would have with Finnick in the future. A gratified smile appeared across her face.

“By then, he would know how much I love him. We’ll get married and have kids and we’ll live happily with one another forever and ever. We’ve grown up together and I’m the only person who knows him best. Only I deserve to live with him for the rest of our lives. As with you…” Evelyn stopped at that point in time and a contemptuous expression crept up on her face. Her tone was full of disdain.

“You’re just the daughter of a maid. Which part of you can compare to me and how can you ever be worthy of Finnick? How dare you dream of stealing my man with such a status. Just look at who you are! If it wasn’t because of the kidnapping case plotted to help the Morrison family back then, do you think you stand any chance? Do you think you can hook up with Finnick?”

Vivian who was pretending to have lost her consciousness was shocked at what Evelyn said. What is that supposed to mean? What does it mean by “the kidnapping case plotted to help the Morrison family”? Could it be that Evelyn wasn’t the victim of the kidnapping case back then and was the mastermind behind it instead?

Even though Evelyn admittedly revealed previously that she had left Finnick and escaped alone during the fire in the past. In Vivian’s opinion, she had always thought that it was because Evelyn was too young and was afraid then, which was why she ran away.

She had never thought that Evelyn might have devised the kidnapping herself. How old was she back then? She was such a young girl. How could she have done such a malicious thing?

Holding back the overwhelming emotions within her, Vivian tried to keep herself as composed as possible. She wanted to hear from Evelyn what really happened in the past.

Nevertheless, Evelyn didn’t continue on that topic but resumed to ridicule Vivian instead, “Initially, I thought that you might have some affection for Finnick, but Vivian, you have never failed to disappoint me. In fact, you are but a tr*mp behind closed doors—you’d throw yourself at any man who crooks his finger to beckon you over. So how was it, huh? Did I happen to fulfill your wishes by drugging you last time? Hunter told me you were greatly fervid in bed.”

Hunter’s face darkened in an instance as he heard Evelyn’s words. Vivian is fcking conscious now. What is this woman bullshitting? Will Vivian misunderstand me as she hears this?

Vivian couldn’t help but hold her fist tightly as she heard that. Even her breathing was growing heavier and her lips were slightly trembling. No one could possibly stay cool listening to such insults directed at oneself. She felt as though there was a volcano within her that was about to erupt.

Fortunately, Evelyn was still excitedly talking and didn’t seem to notice these inconspicuous actions of Vivian. “I guess you must have slept with a bunch of men within these five years. Tell me, how could such a cheap tart like you be worthy of Finnick?”

Hunter had a hard time restraining himself from yanking Evelyn out as he listened to her filthy words. The only reason he didn’t actually do that was that he was afraid of ruining Vivian’s plan. Hence, he could only hold his fingers in a fist and endured it in silence.

Evelyn was getting more and more aggressive. “I’m the only one who loves Finnick wholeheartedly. I’ve only loved this man alone since young. Apart from him, I’ve never taken extra glances at any other men. Only I deserve to be Mrs. Norton and the lady of Norton Corporation. You’re just a worthless tart. How dare you try to steal my man!”

“Enough Evelyn! Shut the f*ck up!” Vivian couldn’t hold it any longer and sat up abruptly on the sofa. “I dare you to try and spew another insult at me!”

“Argh!” Seeing that Vivian had gained consciousness, Evelyn was so frightened she hurriedly wheeled herself backward. “How did you wake up? Weren’t you knocked out?”

“I’m really sorry to disappoint you.” Staring at Evelyn spitefully, Vivian bared her teeth as she squeezed those words one by one through her mouth.

“Hunter, what’s going on? Didn’t you check and confirm that she had passed out?” Evelyn turned around and yelled at Hunter, “What are you doing standing there? Quick, pin her down!”

Listening to Evelyn’s words, Hunter let out a scoff but remained on the spot.

“Hurry up, what are you doing?” Missing Hunter’s expression, Evelyn kept demanding that he took action as she continued wheeling herself in reverse, as though Vivian was a plague.

Under normal circumstances, Evelyn would never be afraid of Vivian because she took Vivian as a simpleton who wouldn’t have any ulterior motive or hidden agenda. She would only be fooled by her. Does she think I am scared of her? What a ludicrous joke.

However, as she had borne the thought that Vivian was unconscious all this while, seeing her wake up and berate her all of a sudden was as good as seeing a corpse coming back to life. It was only normal that she would be nervous.

However, noticing that Hunter still didn’t take any action, Evelyn turned around at him, just to find him giving her a devious look and there was even a trace of an inexplicable smile on his face.

Wait a minute! What does Hunter’s expression mean? Could it be… Evelyn realized that something wasn’t right as she pushed the wheelchair to turn around and head for the door.

As soon as she moved, she felt a strong feeling of dizziness coming from her head, her whole body went limp, and she was unable to use any strength.

What’s going on? Evelyn panicked thoroughly as she shouted at Hunter and Vivian right away, “What did you do to me? Why am I…”

“Why would you feel dizzy and that your whole body has no strength?” Vivian interrupted and stood up from the sofa.

“What’s wrong? Are you the only person allowed to spike others but others can’t do the same to you? Don’t worry, I’m not as evil as you. This drug would only weaken your body and won’t cause any serious harm. After all, there are some things I want to hear out of your own mouth!” Vivian’s tone was even more aggravated as her eyes darkened.

I was drugged? As Evelyn heard that, she was a bit overwhelmed. How could this be? When did it happen and why didn’t I notice anything?

As Evelyn tried to remember what happened before, she suddenly thought about the glass of water Hunter gave to her when they were in the car. Was there something wrong with that glass of water?

As Evelyn stared in disbelief at Hunter, she shouted, “Did you spike that glass of water? How dare you help her and do this to me? Why? Didn’t you say you don’t like her anymore!”

“How would you believe me if I didn’t say that?” After he walked up next to Evelyn, Hunter lowered his head and said, “Evelyn, I really like Vivian, that’s why I would definitely not help you harm her. The reason why I said that to you was just to get you to drop your guard.”

“So you didn’t have sex with her or drug her at all, right? It’s all a lie and you’ve been lying to me! What’s so great about this b*tch? Why are you helping her? Why is everyone helping her!”

Evelyn screamed at Hunter, she could not accept the truth of the matter in her heart. How could it turn out like this? Why am I the one who is being fooled?

“No, it can’t be!” Evelyn suddenly lifted her head and stared at Vivian at the thought of something. Then she said, “I spiked the braised pork and saw you eating it. How could you be alright after that?”

Vivian’s whole body emitted a horrifying aura as she walked toward Evelyn. “So you did really do that, Evelyn. I’ve always wanted to ask you, how have I offended you? Why are you always trying to cause me harm? You even on with such underhanded tricks!”

“That’s because you deserve to die!” Evelyn shouted frantically, “You’ve offended me by stealing Finnick away from me. He’s mine. Not only did we grow up together, I was his first love too. He is mine, so how are you qualified to marry him! Since you dare to steal what belongs to me, I will make you pay for it!”

“Then, I’m afraid I’m going to disappoint you.” Vivian continued telling Evelyn, “Not only am I alright, but Finnick was also the one who took me to the hospital. Do you think he would still want to be with you after finding out all those nasty things you’ve done?”

“Finnick sent you to the hospital?” Evelyn found it hard to believe what she had just heard. “So whatever you’ve told me earlier was all fake? Haha! It’s all fake. All of you conspired and lied to me. You’re even helping this b*tch to lie to me!”

Evelyn laughed out loud as she pointed at Vivian. As she was suddenly triggered by the truth that was revealed to her, it felt as if she was having a mental breakdown.

“Shut up, Evelyn!” Vivian couldn’t hold back anymore after being called a b*tch over and over again by the person who had set her up.

After bending forward and holding Evelyn down, Vivian looked into her eyes and asked in a stern voice, “What happened during the kidnapping back then? What did you mean when you said you concocted the kidnapping in order to save the Morrisons? Did you and Mark kidnap Finnick together?”

The moment she heard Vivian said that, Evelyn returned to her senses and panicked as she blamed herself for mentioning that matter so suddenly because of a slip of the tongue.

“I don’t understand what you’re saying. How is it possible for me to kidnap Finnick? I don’t have a clue about that because what had happened back then has nothing to do with me. I’m also a victim and I don’t know anything.” Evelyn spoke incoherently as she avoided Vivian’s gaze.

“Then, explain what you mean when you said that just now. Why did you say that!” Vivian asked relentlessly.

Five years ago, she was very suspicious of the kidnapping case and asked Samuel to get someone to investigate it again. Although they found some clues, she went ahead with the divorce with Finnick before the truth was revealed. After that, she fled the country without returning and did not pursue the matter further ever since.

When Vivian heard Evelyn say that, she felt deep within her heart that she must have had something to do with what happened in the past. Today, I must find out the truth no matter what!

“So you’re going to be stubborn and not come clean, right?” With a slightly raised tone and a dangerous expression on her face, Vivian said, “Alright, you’re the one who is forcing me. I want to see how you’re not going to let things slide with me.”

Vivian stood up, turned to face Hunter and said, “Go out for a while, it’s not convenient for you to be here for what’s about to happen.”

Upon hearing Vivian’s words, Hunter couldn’t help but worry as he responded, “Vivian, what are you planning to do? It would be better for me to accompany you here. If you’re alone in here, I’ll be worried.”

Having said that, Vivian turned her head toward Hunter and said, “Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing and I won’t do anything reckless.”

Hunter let out a sigh as he was relieved to see that Vivian had not lost her senses. However, he wasn’t entirely comfortable with Vivian being alone with Evelyn.

After hearing Evelyn’s words, Vivian couldn’t help but feel rather amused about it.

“Evelyn, I thought you’re not aware of what’s illegal. So it appears that you actually knew. What about those things you did to me previously? Don’t you find it funny when you’re talking to me about all these! Are you going to tell me about what happened back then!”

“I have nothing to do with the kidnapping. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Evelyn insisted on not telling her anything about it because everything would go down the drain if she did.

When Vivian saw Evelyn refused to come clean, she didn’t say anything more, walked right next to her and grabbed her by the clothes.

Vivian had no choice but to resort to other methods to get her to speak, since she wasn’t willing to come clean herself.

After she had taken a dozen photos, Vivian put down her cell phone and sneered at Evelyn while staring at her, “Didn’t you say you’re not going to let things slide easily? Are you scared now?”

“Vivian, it’s me. How’s the plan going?” On the other end of the phone, Finnick’s voice sounded anxious. Though he promised Vivian he would let her solve this matter herself, he was still worried that she would be unable to handle Evelyn’s ruthlessness and let herself get hurt again.

“Everything is running smoothly. I’m at Hunter’s house now. You can come over as well since there’s something I want you to listen to,” Vivian replied.

“Alright, I’ll go over now. Wait for me.” After hearing her words, Finnick immediately responded.

After hanging up the phone, Vivian dangled the phone in front of Evelyn and asked, “Do you know who just called me?”

Evelyn who was naked at that moment couldn’t even care about that as she replied, “You b*tch, quickly let go of me! Vivian, you will pay for doing this. You will definitely be punished!”

As she lifted her head and looked in the mirror, her mind flashed back to the scene where she was almost insulted. No, I can’t be soft-hearted. Evelyn deserves this. What happened back then must be settled and end today.

“I’m fine.” Vivian replied as she shook her head. She then stepped aside and let Hunter in.

After seeing Evelyn’s unkempt appearance, Hunter frowned, turned to look at Vivian and asked, “What’s going on?”

Vivian breathing became more rapid but she pretended to be unfazed. “I just took some photos that will force her to tell the truth.”

The truth? Hunter paused for a moment and asked, “Are you referring to the kidnapping of Finnick back then, as mentioned earlier?”

“Yes.” Vivian nodded her head. “That time when Finnick and I had yet to divorce, I suspected Evelyn was involved in this matter. After that, many things happened, so I did not investigate further. Since Evelyn brought it up, I must make her tell the truth this time!”

After hearing Vivian’s words, Hunter’s heart sank. It seems like Vivian cares about Finnick more than I think. If she truly doesn’t love him anymore, then how could she be so obsessed with finding out the truth about the incident back then?
