The mood in the restaurant became awkward, and even Han Xueyou felt uncomfortable. There was obviously panic in her eyes, and they kept darting toward Han Qing’s face.

“I’m sorry!” the server apologized immediately, and his eyes bulged with shock. “Miss, are you all right? Let me get some ice from the kitchen for you right away to apply on your skin!”

It was his younger sister after all, so Han Qing finally stood up. He grabbed Han Xueyou’s hand and asked, “Do you have cold water?”

“Yes, we do. It’s in the kitchen.”

Hence, Han Qing brought Han Xueyou to the back of the restaurant, and he took some paper towels before wetting it with some cold water. He then applied the cold, wet paper towel over her reddened skin around her neck. Han Xueyou’s eyes were brimming with tears due to the pain. “I’m so sorry, Qing. I was too clumsy, and I’ve troubled you.”

Han Qing looked down at her when he heard that, and he felt rather helpless when he saw how pitiful she looked. “Be careful next time,” he softened his voice.

“Mm-hmm, Qing… will it leave scars?”

Han Qing frowned slightly, and Han Xueyou took the chance and grabbed his arm while speaking pitifully. “If it does leave scars, will I look ugly? By then, would no one want to marry me?”

After he pondered for a while, Han Qing unbuttoned his suit jacket and took it off to wrap it around Han Xueyou’s shoulders. “Let’s go to the hospital.”

The car drove onto the road, but Han Xueyou was wearing an odd expression while sitting on the passenger’s seat.

Shen Qi had her eyes on the road, so when she heard Han Xueyou calling for her, she turned to glance at Han Xueyou and asked, “What is it? Are you in terrible pain? Just hang in there, okay? We will be arriving at the hospital soon.”

Han Xueyou was thinking about something entirely different, and she stared at Shen Qi’s side profile with melancholy while recalling the scene in the restaurant. She couldn’t help herself when she asked, “In the future, you…”

“What is it?”

“Forget it. It’s nothing.” Han Xueyou lowered her gaze because this meeting was just by chance. Han Xueyou had already handled it anyway, and it wouldn’t be too difficult if they were to plan to meet again in the future.

“Oh,” Ye Moxuan looked coldly at her. “Neither did I.”

Shen Qi’s expression changed drastically when she heard that. “What is wrong with you? Ye Group invited Han Group to discuss a business deal. I was the one who reserved a table at the restaurant, and since I forgot to pay the bill, why didn’t you pay for it? What should we do if we left a bad impression on Han Group?”

Shen Qi bit her lower lip anxiously when she said that, it was clear that she was distressed and upset about the situation.

Ye Moxuan’s expression darkened when he heard that, and his tone became even frostier. “Are you really that worried you might leave a bad impression on him?”

“I see,” Shen Qi replied.

She quietly pulled her skirt up and took a look at his suit jacket that was on the ground before she went out, “Can I borrow your suit jacket once again? I’ll return it to you tonight when I get back home.”

“You?” Ye Moxuan’s lips twitched. “I’ll consider it if you beg me.”

Shen Qi turned around and walked out of the office; her chest was still heaving up and down when she returned to her seat.
