Ch. 456..460: Powerful Papa with Triplet Babies Chapter 456-460
Chapter 456
"You cannot completely leave this aside either!" Dorothy said in a hushed voice, "We have not found Anne yet.
Your dad suspected this is related to Anthony..."
"Why do you even say so too?" Bianca felt her head heavy just hearing this.
"I am only asking you to stay vigilant." Dorothy said and tried to remind her about her situation, "Think about it,
how many women want to climb into Anthony's bed? which family in business does not wish to marry their
daughter to Anthony? Don't you take it lightly just because you are his fiance. Even after marriage, you should
still keep a lookout. You don't have kids now, and your only bargaining power is yourself."
"I'm not an id*ot. of course, I know. I purposely went to the Archduke Group when I came back from the studio.
Anthony was still busy then!"
"That's great." However, Dorothy found it weird. "Then what did you mean by Anne is still missing?"
"As long as it is not related to Anthony, I don't care where she went. Who knows when we finally found her, it
would be her corpse?" Bianca grinned devilishly. 1
Dorothy nodded and agreed.
It was rare to find a person living after being missing for over 48 hours. Anne had been missing for more than
48 hours already.
If Anne really were detained by Anthony, she would probably be dead.
This maniac of a man could kill!
"Still can't find her?" For the first time, Tommy was disappointed in Lilian's capabilities.
"There are more than a hundred properties that belonged to Anthony. We needed to do a thorough inspection
of each one, but at the same time, not to be discovered. This would take a long time, " Lilian said.
Tommy understood it too, but he could not help but feel flustered.
Only Anthony could hide Anne so well!
"Get me the return flight ticket, now."
"Yes."
When Anne woke up, she was lying on Anthony's muscular body.
She jumped and clumsily tried to get off his body.
However, as soon as she moved her body, her waist was forcefully held by a strong arm.
Anthony woke up.
"Put me down... Cough!" Anne's voice was hoarse. Her throat hurt when she spoke.
"You want water?" Anthony adjusted the position between them so that Anne was at the bottom.
He looked at her like a piece of meat.
"I will go and get some water..." Anne pushed him away.
Anthony grabbed her two wrists and pinned them above her head, then pinched her chin. His lips went forward and covered hers...
"Hmm..." Anne struggled.
She was freaked out.
Would he again...
Anthony only released her after they both almost ran out of breath, and then he rose and left the bed.
Anne leaned against the headboard weakly. Even though the cuff was no longer on her wrist, one end of it was still on the corner of the bed.
Was Anthony planning to cuff her up when he was away?
No, she would never want to be cuffed again.
It was torturous! She would die!
The dinner that was placed by the nightstand was all spilled onto the floor...
Anthony came back with a glass of water.
He passed the glass to her. Anne paused, then only received it and drank a few sips. Her throat only felt better
by then.
She drank the water slowly and was at the same time figuring out how to leave.
She could not wait for Anthony to leave so she could find a way out. Otherwise, she would have to be detained
for another day.
"Can I go out today? Even if you don't let me out today, can you
not cuff me up?" Anne asked.
"Are you done reflecting on your wrongdoings?"
"Yes, I have."
"Because you got pleasure?"
Anne bit her lips, she looked uncomfortable, she pondered and then added, "No, I hate it..."
Anthony's face fell, and he then approached her like a dangerous beast.
Anne took a few steps back when she sensed the change in the vibe around Anthony.
When the beast pounced on her, she immediately escaped to the other end of the bed. Her hand went and
reached for the corner of the bed, but her glass fell to the ground and shattered into pieces. It was as though a
foreshadowing of Anne's destiny.
Chapter 457
"Ah!" Anne squirmed into the corner of the bed. "Anthony, you treat me this way. Do you have strings attached
already?"
Anthony went into the bed and was only a few centimeters away from Anne. He was stunned and paused. His
face grew eerier and eerier, "what did you say?"
"Are you... In love with me?" Anne reached forward and stroked him, feeling extremely nervous.
"Are you seeking death?" Anthony's eyes were menacing and pinched her face.
"Otherwise, why would you treat me this way..." Anne said it with immense difficulty, she could feel that her
face almost shattered under his pinch.
"Stop humiliating yourself. It was only because your body is still up to par to keep me satisfied." Anthony coldly
released her, turned and walked away.
Anne desperately held his arm. "Are you mad? I didn't mean it, don't you be this way..."
Anthony turned around and looked at her with a cold face, and ordered, "Let go."
"Anthony, don't be mad, really. It was my fault for saying that... Ah!" Before Anne could finish her sentence, she
was flung away forcefully, she was sitting by the side of the bed and fell backward. She landed on the ground
with a thud, the sharp glass pieces pierced right through her flesh. "Hmm..."
Anthony realized something was wrong. He then remembered the glass that fell onto the floor earlier. His face
turned green.
His long leg took a big step forward. He carried Anne up, who was sitting frozen on the ground, not daring to
move a single muscle.
She was not wearing any clothes, so the sharp glass pieces effortlessly pierced through her flesh. There were
some big pieces and some small pieces.
Anthony could feel his blood boiling in his vessels. His face was grim.
"It hurts..." Anne lay in his arms and whimpered.
Anthony carefully avoided her back and carried her onto the bed, then used her phone to call Kathryn. "Come over!"
Anthony stood by the end of the bed after making the phone call and stared at Anne coldly. "You did this on purpose."
"What...?" Anne was shivering in pain. Her voice was weak, as though she would pass out had she said one more word.
Anthony's face was tense, and he did not say anything more.
Kathryn heard the urgency of the phone call and did not dare to have any delays.
She rushed to the condo immediately.
She knocked on the door, which was opened up by Anthony. He was in his pajamas, and his face was unpleasant.
After answering the door, he walked back into the room.
After a few steps, he realized that Kathryn did not follow but was standing hesitantly at the door. He called out coldly, "What are you waiting for?"
It was Kathryn's first time there!
She entered the condo carefully and did not dare to look around but went straight into the room.
Then, she saw Anne lying on her belly on the bed. Her back was covered in shards of glass, and she was shivering in pain, she could not help but feel terrified at the sight.
What did Anthony do to her?
She quickly opened her first aid kit and started treating the wounds on Anne.
There were so many glass pieces she had to inject anesthesia into her; otherwise, Anne would pass out because of the pain.
When Kathryn was treating her, Anthony stood by and watched.
The atmosphere was tense. A normal person would not be able to treat their patient normally under such stressful supervision.
Luckily, it was not Kathryn's first time.
After more than half an hour, all the glass pieces were removed from Anne's back.
It was the smaller pieces that took the longest time.
"There were two that pierced deeper under the skin. The other ones were fine," Kathryn applied the ointment
and said. It was a shame that Anne’s beautiful shining back suddenly turned into such a bloody sight. "But not
to worry, it will not really leave scars when the wounds recover fully."
Anne lay on her pillow, she was on anesthesia, so she was no longer in pain but drowsy and not fully
conscious.
Therefore, this statement was in fact, made for Anthony.
If Anthony wanted to use Anne's body, of course, she could not have scars, otherwise, it would affect the
aesthetic.
After the treatment, Anthony turned and put on his slippers.
Kathryn noticed the blood stains on the floor.
It was not left by Anne but were footprints covered in blood.
It was obvious that they belonged to a man's feet.
Kathryn was cautious when she entered the place, so she did not pick this up earlier, only to realize something
was wrong now.
"Mr. Marwood, allow me to treat your feet too?" Kathryn said.
Anthony took a glance at Anne, who was fast asleep and walked out of the room.
He sat on the couch, letting Kathryn treat the injuries on his feet.
Kathryn was shocked when she saw the glass pieces in his sole. They were deeply buried into his flesh.
However, Anthony had acted as though nothing had happened to him from the start and did not ask to be
treated first.
Chapter 458
It was impossible for him not to feel the pain unless all his attention was put on Anne.
What exactly was Anne to Anthony?
No matter his brutal side, or his caring side, all of them were ironically only shown to one person, Anne.
Kathryn was Anthony's personal physician that did not mean she could ask about his personal life.
After giving her advice, Kathryn left.
When passing by the corridor, Kathryn saw Julie's humongous portrait in the hallway.
She was so young and elegant.
This was something that Kathryn could not understand.
The people around him understood well enough why Anthony could control Anne.
However, he brought her to this condo that no one could enter in the end.
Even more so, because of Anne, he even allowed Kathryn to enter this condo. 1
What exactly was Anthony thinking?
If he were starting to care about Anne, then he would not have engaged with Bianca, would he?
It seemed that Anthony was so mysterious that no ordinary person could understand him.
Anthony was just about to return to the room when he received a call from Oliver. "Tommy is back."
"That was desperate."
"If Tommy returned, I'm afraid he would be searching on your end, " Oliver said.
Anthony's eyes flashed with a brief moment of cold. He then said, " Then give him something to keep him occupied..." Then he walked out. 1
Tommy spent the night traveling to Luton, and it was already morning when he reached home.
Lilian was still waiting at home.
Lilian looked at Tommy, who had just arrived after the long journey, with a blank, expressionless face. She did not say anything either.
"Tell me about the situation." Tommy sat on the couch. His collar was half opened, and his face was cold.
"Not that urgent. It's better for you to take a rest first," Lilian said.
"I had enough rest in the eight-hour flight." Tommy's face was cold. "You couldn't find the person after such a long time. Who else could do this other than my brother? Plus, Anne went missing, and he did not have any reaction? He was desperately controlling Anne before this!"
"I heard that Anthony did appoint someone to look for Anne."
Tommy frowned. "We cannot look at just the surface. My brother
is a cunning person, don't be fooled. I will go to the Archduke Group."
His phone rang as soon as he stood up.
It was Lucas.
He answered, "Did you find her?"
"Someone tracked the black car. I will go over now." Lucas' voice was hoarse.
When Tommy reached the lake, Lucas was already there.
The two people looked nervously at the retrieving mission ongoing in the lake.
After some time, the rescue team hooked out the black car from the lake.
The car doors were opened, with weeds hanging onto them.
Lucas swallowed. His expression was tense, and even his footsteps were rigid when he strode across.
Tommy immediately ran forward and inspected the inside of the car.
There was not a single person to be found.
Lucas stood by the side. His fingers grabbed hold of the door so firmly that he was slightly shaking.
It was good that they did not see a person in it. Perhaps Anne was alive.
Someone said, "The door is open. It's likely that the person inside was washed away by the current."
Tommy's face turned to him, and his gaze was deadly. "How do you know that she was washed away? Did you
see it?"
The person was shocked and terrified by him. "No... I was only guessing..."
Lucas looked afar and saw the rescue team still retrieving from the lake.
He did not have the guts to imagine the outcome.
Dorothy was free that day, so she returned to the office to visit Nigel.
She frequented the place, often with intentions.
The company was newly set up, and the people inside were all mostly new. There were even youthful and
energetic undergraduate girls.
She wanted to let them all know that their boss had a wife, and they were in a good relationship, and not to
ever seduce him.
Chapter 459
she almost bumped into Nigel when she arrived at the office.
"Why are you looking upset? What happened?" Dorothy asked.
"The car that brought Anne away was found. I will go have a look." Nigel turned away.
Dorothy was shocked. It was found?
She regained herself and immediately followed. "I will go with you! It
When they arrived at the lake, Tommy and Lucas were still there and explained the situation to Nigel.
"The car was retrieved. It was verified as the one that brought Anne away. The car doors were open when it
came up, but there was no one inside," Lucas's face was sunken, and his voice was hoarse. "Plus, the rescue
team said, this was not the place where the incident first happened. It happened upstream. We have seen it
just now, would you want to check it out?"
Nigel looked into the distance nervously. The rescue team was still in action.
The lake's current was strong, why would Anne be in the lake?
Nigel followed Lucas upstream.
Dorothy stayed behind.
She heard the conversion earlier. This made her over the moon, but she could only keep that in her and could not express it.
She had a hard time holding it in.
It looked like Anne did not have the fate to be married into a rich family, but she still wanted to fight with Bianca. That was funny.
When Tommy looked over, she immediately changed her expression to look grim, she walked over and said, "No person found. That means there are a million possibilities out there. Look at the bright side. Anne will be fine."
As though she had already resolved her conflict the other day at Sarah's mansion.
Tommy was Anthony's cousin, after all. They could not really burn the bridge.
Tommy looked away coldly, pretending not to hear anything she said.
Dorothy found it boring and walked to another place.
She pulled out her phone and called Bianca, "Let me tell you some good news!"
"What good news?"
"Anne is dead."
Bianca, who was having her face done, immediately sat up. "Dead? Are you sure?"
"The car that had her sank into the lake. They have not found the person until now!" Dorothy kept her voice hushed but could not hide her excitement.
"This is music to my ears!" Bianca laughed heartily.
"Exactly! Now that we got rid of this pain in the *ss, our life would be much easier."
"You guys speculated that this was related to Anthony. It is not at all."
Dorothy thought about this malicious idea and said, "Yes, we don't have to worry that it has anything to do with Anthony at all now. Right, I need to find a way to let Sarah know about this." 1
"That way, Sarah must be in agony."
"Do you have her phone number? I want to tell her about this good news myself." Dorothy said.
"Yes, I do." Bianca hung up and searched for Sarah's phone number in her contact book.
She kept Sarah's phone number before this, just in case.
Sarah woke up not too long ago and was enjoying her beauty collagen drink when her phone rang.
She took a look. It was a stranger. She answered, "Who's this?"
"How's life in Santa Nila? It's rude of me not to have called in such a long time."
"Dorothy?" Sarah's face turned long, she wondered why did she call her? Could she have found out about her
being in contact with Nigel? "What's the matter?"
"How long have you not been in contact with Anne?" Dorothy asked.
Sarah was alerted. She indeed had not been in contact with Anne for a few days. Nigel claimed that she was
busy.
"Every day. what does it have to do with you?"
"Anne is dead. How do you even contact her?" Dorothy could not help but blurt out.
"What... What nonsense are you saying? Do you believe that I will rip your mouth apart?" she could not sit still
to hear someone cursing her own daughter. "Your daughter is dead!"
Dorothy said, "Maybe try calling her. Poor thing, you are completely clueless that your daughter died. You will
have a chance to get back to Luton. I will help you to plead mercy from Anthony. After all, it's your own
daughter's funeral, am I right?"
"Dorothy, stop being condescending about it. There's no person as malicious as you. Oh wait, there is a
second person. That is Bianca!"
Chapter 460
"Fine, you are ungrateful about me telling the news."
"Go and tell everyone that your daughter died, please!" Before getting a response from Dorothy, Sarah hung
up.
Sarah could not believe that, she was panicking, her hands did not know what to do, and she could not think.
Has something really happened to Anne?
However, Nigel said that Anne was busy with the month-end financial closing!
She could not contact Anne, could it be because...
Sarah called Nigel.
Nigel was checking out the geographical situation upstream when his phone buzzed.
He took out the phone and saw that it was Sarah.
His hand shook.
Subconsciously, he did not want to answer the call, but he could not.
He walked to the side and answered, "Woke up?" His tone was not abnormal.
"Tell me frankly, did something happen to Anne?" Sarah asked desperately.
"Who told you this nonsense?"
"Why is her phone not connected? she is so busy that she has no time to give me a phone call? Plus, your wife deliberately called me to tell me that... Anne... I don't believe it. Tell me, what happened?"
Nigel looked downstream, his face sunk.
He was still comforting Sarah. "Anne is now only missing. It is not like what Dorothy said. Don't worry. We are searching now. We will find her."
"Missing..." Sarah almost passed out. Her voice sounded agonized through the phone call.
"Sarah! Sarah, don't worry, Anne will be fine! I will find her!"
Sarah finally regained herself. "Why did she go missing? Who did it? Was it Anthony? Was it him?"
"It does not seem like it for now."
"Who else if it was not him? The way that he treated Anne, he would have killed her sooner or later!" Sarah cried over the phone. She was detesting Anthony.
If only she had been more capable, she would not have been such a coward!
"Anne will be fine. Leave this to me, I will call you when there is any news," Nigel said sternly.
"You told me that you would call me before this, but you hid this from me..." Sarah sobbed.
"I was afraid that you would be worried." Nigel's tone softened. He turned around and saw Dorothy walking toward him. "I will call you later."
"You must call me."
"Sure."
Dorothy walked to him and saw him hanging up. "why did you hang up as soon as I came over? who is it?"
"It's a work call." Nigel was cold.
He did not question Dorothy about what she did but instead turned to discuss the strategy with Lucas.
Dorothy smiled unwillingly, her heart full of doubts.
Anne’s life was hanging on a thread, but he could be on such a long call for work.
It definitely was not a work call.
Could it be some other woman?
Even though Nigel was in his forties, he was still in his prime years. He was charming and rich, and there were
plenty of women sucking up to him!
She had to be vigilant at all times!
The anesthesia effects subsided. Anne eventually woke up and felt the pain in her back, "Hmm..."
"Don't move."
Anne frowned and looked at him. Anthony was sitting on the couch with his laptop in front of him. His
expression was dull.
"You should send me to the hospital."
"Do you think you can leave this place if you are injured? Huh?
Anne wanted to hide her plans. "I am a burden to you if I don't leave when I am injured."
Anthony's dark eyes looked at her menacingly.
