Ch. 181..185: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 181-185

Chapter 181: Making a Fuss!

After seeing Rose enter the house, Arthur Collins deeply sighed as he looked at the neatly lined spartan juniper trees not far from where he was standing. The tree flanked the long path to the main gate guarded by several men in black uniforms.

Evan felt confused, looking at his thin old grandpa in front of him. Didn’t grandpa just say he wanted to talk to him? Why is he now in a daze looking ahead?

"If you ask me to stay here just to enjoy that tree, I’m sorry I can’t accompany you, Grandpa. I’m busy. You know, I have to entertain my guests inside!?" Evan felt annoyed because this old man asked him to stay when he wanted to be with his wife. Damn! He shook his head as he walked inside. However, before he could pass the door, his feet stopped hearing his grandpa’s words,

"Your father! He knows about your wedding...." Arthur Collins said in a low voice without looking back at his grandson.

Evan was taken aback by his grandfather’s words, but it was only for a moment. He turned around. With narrowed eyes, he looked at his grandfather’s back.

"I don’t care whether he knows or not. Besides, this event is so big and important for me that I can’t hide this news from him anyway...." Deciding to get married here, Evan already knows the risks. Surely his father will hear the news. But that shameless old man wouldn’t force his way in here, right? This is his property, which no longer belongs to him. As the new owner, he has the right to forbid anyone from entering this land, including his father.

"I know! But now your fool father is making a fuss...." Arthur Collins turned to look at his grandson. It was clear from his grandson’s eyes that he was now confused. Arthur Collins laughs slightly before walking past him to enter the house. He will let the Father and Son clear their disputes.

"Grandpa, wait!" Evan followed in his grandfather’s footsteps at his fast pace, slightly running. "What fuss are you talking about?"

"My grandson, your father, is heading here! I don’t know whether that is good or bad for you. But whatever it is, good luck, my grandson!!" Actually, Arthur Collins wanted to help his grandson to scold his son. But his dominating grandson made him change his mind after hearing his first reaction. He will let them sort things out on their own.

For him, the critical thing is Rose Wilson has officially married his grandson. It’s just a matter of time until they have children, right!? He wanted a cute little great-grandson or great-granddaughter to cheer him up because his grandson had grown up and was too busy with adult life.

"Grandpa! You promise me you will not let your son come here! Why do you change your mind?" Feeling betrayed, Evan gritted his teeth as he darted his eyes to his grandpa, who had disappeared behind the door.

"Damn it!!" Evan could only curse in his heart, venting his anger.

Why today? When he wants to relax with his wife. When her mother is at home, his father comes!

Evan remembers that he had promised his mother that he wouldn’t tell his father about his marriage. He will not invite him. So that his mother can feel comfortable coming to his wedding.

This is his revenge on his father because he disagreed with Rose. Evan told him that he didn’t need his blessing, so his father had no right to know and attend his wedding ceremony.

Later...

One of the guards with a black uniform suddenly appeared behind Evan.

Evan was still standing with his face looking at the black wood door in front of him, pondering what he would do about his annoying father.

"Boss, sorry to bother you. I need to report an important thing..." The guard leader with tan skin asks.

"Speak!" An icy tone from Evan could make the guard feel chill.

"Mr. Anthony Collins is at the gate. He insists on entering. We will not allow him to come in unless you say otherwise...."

Suddenly, Evan’s forehead felt numb. He closed his eyes, trying to calm his angry heart. For a moment, he simply ignored the guard who was still standing a few meters away from him, waiting for his orders.

Instead of answering the guard’s question, Evan took out his cellphone from his pocket suit. "What do you want!?" Evan’s frosty voice was greeted with a scolding by his father, Anthony Collins.

"Mind your words, Son! Whatever your feelings about me, I’m your father." Anthony Collins retorted from the other end. "How dare you talk to me like you talk to your subordinates?"

"Ah! Sorry, Mr. Collins, I forgot you are my father. You know, my father was always around or acted as a father for me. I shouldn’t have forgotten him...." Says Evan sarcastically.

The sarcastic reply makes Anthony Collins’ tongue instantly feel numb, "Open the gate for me, young man!"

"Why? It’s my house, not yours, or your gift to me."

"Do you hate me this much that you didn’t even ask for my blessing to marry that girl?"

Knowing from other people that his son married today broke his heart. As a father, he wanted to witness his son’s new phase of life. But his son tested his patience by not telling him anything about his big day.

"Rose Wilson! Her name is Rose Wilson, and she’s not just that girl, understood? And her name is Rose Collins now. Please address her name properly! We may bear Collins in our name, but that’s because of my great respect to Arthur, not you," Evan said in his cold voice as if he didn’t want to continue this conversation.

Anthony Collins wanted to smack his only son’s head, hearing how rude he talked. Anthony could only sigh as he looked sharply at the guard who stopped his car. He felt lost. How could someone forbid him to enter his own house?

Chapter 182: Regret

Many regrets suddenly appeared in Anthony Collins’ mind at this moment. He deeply regretted losing so much time with his son as he grew up, and the distance between them grew even farther when he agreed to his wife’s request for divorce. Since then, his son never addressed him again as his father.

"Evan, I’m your father. Don’t you want to introduce the girl to me?"

Evan kept silent, ignoring his father’s words.

"I mean, Rose Wilson...."

"As long as you still have thought about stopping our relationship, you didn’t deserve to meet her. But, if you change your mind and accept her sincerely and wholeheartedly, I will consider it!"

Anthony Collins gripped his cell phone tight to hide the anger that almost swallowed him. Now, he couldn’t stop his son from marrying Rose Wilson. As the father, Anthony Collins couldn’t do anything but accept the girl as his son’s wife. The head of Collins’ business groups never gave up finding a woman for his son’s wife. A woman from a proper family will undoubtedly benefit Wilson Group in the future. He already had a few candidates in his mind, but too bad his son is such headstrong.

"Son, I never stopped you from dating Rose Wilson. I’m just making suggestions for you. Did you forget?"

Evan shook his head lightly, hearing his father wanted to twist his words again. Damn!

"Let me in. I won’t spoil your happy day...." Anthony Collins couldn’t do anything now because his father was with them.

His plan now is to meet Doris. Once separated, it was so difficult to meet her. Doris altogether avoids him. Even when he made her jealous by bringing another woman into Collins’ house, she didn’t budge. Even, she cut off all communication between them.

When he found out that Doris had come to their house, he was so happy. This was his chance to meet and talk to her. Maybe by talking to her at their old home, Doris’s frozen heart could melt again. He loves her, but only for a single mistake. She asks for a divorce. His pride as a man seems to be being tested. And then he could not control his emotions and just accept whether she wanted to. And he really regrets that moment.

Evan hesitated when he heard his father’s.

For a slight moment, he wanted his father to be among them. Because he was concerned that his mother-in-law would realize that his father had not accepted Rose, he was not among them. But on the other hand, he was worried that his mother would feel uncomfortable being in the same place as his father.

"It’s not that I don’t want you to come in." Evan finally spoke after a moment of silence. "My mother is here. She asked about the condition before coming here; Her ex is not in this place!"

Anthony Collins’ heart sank even more when Doris made such a request. How could she still be mad at him after all these years?

"Son...." Before Anthony Collins finished his sentence, from the other end, he could faintly hear the voice of the woman he had missed so much,

"Let him in!"

Evan was dumbfounded to see his mother, who was now standing behind him. She looked calm, almost expressionless. It was like he was dealing with a mannequin version of his mother.

"Are you sure, mother!?"

"Yes! You go inside, let me take care of that old man! Don’t let your mother-in-law worry. You have been out here for a long time...."

Molly was worried that something had happened to her son, so she went to check. When she came out, she heard her son talking on the phone. After overhearing what he said, she knew immediately that her ex-husband was bothering her son on his wedding day!?

It makes her heart boil. That fool Anthony really asked to be scolded!

Evan didn’t say anything. He just followed his mother’s wish as he walked fast into the house.

When he arrived in the family room, he saw her wife talking to his grandpa and her mother. While his friends are talking at the end of the room. They drink wine served by waiters in black and white uniforms who are seen pacing back and forth in the vast dining room. He also saw Jamie Stone, Molly’s close friend, standing alone in the corner, near the massive glass wall, looking at the city view.

"Everything is fine outside?" Arthur Collins stood up and whispered to ask his grandson. Earlier, he was shocked at his daughter-in-law leaving the room and heading outside. He was afraid that his son and daughter-in-law would fight like they usually do if they met. It would be embarrassing if Molly Wilson witnessed the horror of his family.

"Yeah! My mother will take care of him. As long as he does not make trouble here, I will let him in. I just worry about how my mother is feeling."

"He won’t dare to do anything as long as I’m here. Don’t worry!" Arthur patted his grandson’s shoulder lightly, "Grandpa will go to the reading room. Call me if the lunch is ready. Evan could see only nodes as he walked toward Rose. He sat beside her.

"Son-In-Law..." Molly suddenly looked at Evan with a gratitude-looking face. "I entrust my daughter to you. Please take care of her. Please also guide her to be a good wife and mother to her children in the future." Her voice trembled to hold back the mixed emotions in her heart. She had many wishes and words she wanted to share with her daughter and son-in-law, but for some reason, she couldn’t express them in words.

Molly turned her gaze to her daughter. With her teary-looking eyes, she said, "Daughter, my duty to look after you is done. Now, Evan will look after you. As his wife, you have to obey him...."

"M-Mom! I will..." Rose suddenly stammered, unable to contain her emotions.

"Mother, how lucky I’m to have Rose as my wife and my future child’s mother. I promise you, I will always care for and love her until my last breath...."

Chapter 183: Sudden Appearance (1)

"I’m really envious of Evan! He finally got Rose’s heart after so many years trying to woo her...." James said as he sipped his red wine.

Since their first year of college and always in the same class, Evan knows how to exactly pursue Rose. Even then, Rose’s eyes were only on her crush from other faculties.

"I know, right! I thought Rose would end up with that boy band! What’s his name?" Danny asked.

"Dustin Moses!" Oliver chipped in as he raised his hand to call a waitress. His mind suddenly fields with that stupid Dustin, his best friend in high school. Because Dustin was too greedy, Oliver decided to take another path and distance their friendship. Now, his poor friend has died miserably.

"You know him!?" Randy raises his brown slightly. Surprised to know Oliver knows Rose’s crush, Dustin Moses.

"Tsk, Randy! Did you know?" James chuckled as he shook his head. "Rose and Oliver have been friends since they were in high school!? Of course, Oliver knows Dustin. Rose has had a crush on that man since high school! Right Oliver?" James looked at Oliver opposite.

"Well, what James said is true. Dustin is my best friend. However, our friendship began to drift apart during college." Oliver slowly lifted the red wine glass he had just gotten from the waiter and quickly emptied it. Looking at all of them still staring at him, he chuckled. "Man... stop talking about a dead man. Some say it’s not nice...."

"What, he died!? Already? When? How?" James and the others were surprised to hear that.

Oliver could only nod while turning his gaze to Rose. As Rose’s best friend, he felt happy when Dustin had gone from her life. She deserved a kind and loving man like Evan to stay beside her. Dustin was like a tremor in Rose’s life. He never agreed when Rose chased Dustin, but that girl never listened to everything he told her about Dustin. In fact, Rose accuses him of having a crush on her and wanting to separate herself from Dustin. Gosh!

Remembering their past makes Oliver’s head feel hurt. He needs more wine to make him feel better. He raises his hand again to call the waitress, making the three men nearby widen their eyes in surprise.

"Man! You drink so much wine. It’s not even lunchtime yet!?" Danny said worriedly. And with a sympathetic look, he saw Oliver empty the red wine the waiter had just given him.

Danny felt Oliver must have missed his best friend. He signs everyone not to talk about Dustin anymore because that would make Oliver even sadder.

Later, Sam came into the room and told them the lunch feast was ready. He led them to the dining table after that. The huge dining table can fit all of them, including Sam and Gavin, who also join for the feast. The room looked spacious and bright from the vast glass wall with a city view.

Before their lunch was served, everyone in the room talked with people beside or opposite them. The afternoon atmosphere was so cheerful and warm but later, they suddenly heard footsteps from the front room.

Rose turned her head towards the sound of the footsteps. She was surprised to see her mother-in-law enter the dining room with a tall man with a slicked-back hairstyle. There’s a half-smile framed by his pale-looking face when they get closer to the dining table. And his gold frame glasses make him look noble and lofty. Rose felt like the air around her suddenly dropped to zero.

She knew this man well because his face often appeared on her TV screens and on the internet. This man is Evan’s father, Anthony Collins. The man she was worried about. Because of what she heard from Evan, his father did not give them his blessing. But now, he appears here. Why?

Countless questions suddenly pop up in her mind as she can feel how loud her beating heart is now. She was nervous beyond words. Afraid Evan’s father will do something shameless like the rich inlaw she usually saw in the Korean drama to make them break apart. For her, she will understand if this man does that. But how about her mother and Uncle Jamie? They will definitely feel confused and angry, right!?

Rose looks stealing a glance at Evan beside her. She can see that Evan’s face looks serene. As if knowing his father will not do something like her imagination. But still, she can’t help but ask him, "E-Evan, your father? Why?"

Evan looked at his wife with a slight frown on his face when he saw the worry on her face. He brought his head closer to her and whispered, "Wife, relax! Nothing will happen. You can act as usual. Don’t feel pressured with his present." Rose nods and feels a little bit relieved hearing Evan’s words.

But, when Rose’s eyes met Anthony Collins’s blue eyes staring at her, she felt like someone had just stopped the blood flow throughout her body. She froze. And, she couldn’t break their eye contact, as if she was under his spell. But, it only happened for a few seconds because she faintly heard Doris’ voice introducing Anthony Collins to her mother. At the same time, Anthony turned to look at her mother. Rose immediately grabbed Evan’s hands to let him know she was not okay.

Anthony Collins was surprised when he saw Rose’s mother’s look still young, and somehow he felt known this woman before. For a few seconds, he tries to recall his memories, but only vague memories in his head appear; this woman is the woman he met in the past. But he can’t remember where he met her. This agitated his mind, "Nice to meet you, Ms. Wilson." Anthony reached out his hand for a handshake.

Then, Anthony turned his gaze at Rose. "Hello, daughter-in-law. Welcome to the family..." His voice sounded friendly, and there was no intimidation from there. It made Rose feel slightly better. Anthony held out his hand for a handshake.

Chapter 184: Sudden Appearance (2)

Even though Rose now felt so nervous, she endured it. She accepts Anthony Collins’ big warm hand with a smile adorning her face.

"I’m sorry I came late, Rose. But I’m so happy with both of you... Next time I’ll make up for it by taking you all to dinner as a family, including your mother-in-law...." Anthony Collins stops his gaze at his beautiful ex-wife. He couldn’t stop admiring how well-maintained his ex was now.

Though she is older than his new woman now, still that new one can’t compare to Doris. They both like the sky and earth.

Evan’s eyes darts at his father to tell him to stop talking and steals the show. He can feel there’s no sincerity in his father’s words.

The sudden appearance of Anthony Collins in the room immediately changed the room’s atmosphere to a slightly gloomy one. No more warm chatter. No smile or broad laugh is adorning the faces of people in the room. There was only tension until the supposedly intimate and relaxing lunch ended in such a short time. So fast that Rose didn’t even know what she had just eaten? She lost her appetite as Evan’s father sat across from her.

Not long after, all the family was back in the family room. Meanwhile, Oliver and the others take their leave. They have to go back to the office. So many things to do, especially the project of Rapid Realty.

Rose walked her friends to the front yard. She wanted to give them some short advice before she took a week off to enjoy her honeymoon.

"Oliver, please take care of our office! Call me if you need something important...." She stood before four handsome men opposite her. They all look so tall. Standing near them makes her look petite.

"Damn, Boss! Do you think I would dare to call you on your honeymoon? Your husband will silence me forever. Gee!!" Oliver felt a chill run down his spine at the thought of Evan Collins being angry with him. That man, not even talking, made him feel suffocated. What if he was openly mad at him? No! He wouldn’t dare to provoke Evan Collins.

"Yes, Boss! Everything’s gonna be alright! Just enjoy your wild honeymoon with Evan. Don’t worry about the company..." Danny said as he chuckled, looking at Rose’s flaming cheeks. They can’t stop teasing her.

"Rose! Have fun on your wedding night, young Mrs. Collins...." Randy said with a smile.

"Hahaha, Randy, you finally grew up, huh!? So, now you know what would happen on the wedding night?" Danny can’t help but laugh hearing Randy’s words.

Everyone laughed except for Rose. She felt even more embarrassed!

"Alright, guys! We should go now...." Randy clears his throat and tries to divert attention away from his naivety. As he walks to the car, he says, "By Rose! See ya..."

"Bye, boss! See you in a week...." James smiled at Rose.

Rose could only wave her hand when she saw the Audi A8 Silver start to move away from her sight. She stared at the vanishing car at the end of the road leading to the gate for a moment.

"You should change your dress to a more comfortable one, wife."

Rose suddenly heard Evan’s voice from behind. She turned her back and saw her husband leaning against the door, looking at her with his warm eyes. "Let me bring you to the second floor, our bedroom..." Rose felt her cheek feel warm. She nods and follows Evan into the house.

When they entered the family room, Rose was surprised to see the empty space. Only Jamie Stone and Sam were there. They look serious, watching the news on TV in silence. Too immersed till they both didn’t notice their presence.

"Hubby, where are the others?" Rose glanced at Evan, who was walking beside her towards the stairs.

"They were chatting in the study room. You want to go there?"

"No! Let me change my dress first. These high heels are killing me." After a few hours of wearing high heels, her feet felt uncomfortable, and her calves felt sore. She had never liked wearing high heels, but she wasn’t averse to wearing them either. She will only wear those pretty-but-hurt shoes if there is something essential. And now that the critical occasion is over, she wants to replace her high heels with her flat shoes. The comfortable one, her favorite.

When she reached the second floor, Rose was surprised looking at the open space area that seemed so bright. A lot of light came in from the glass walls surrounding the area. The interior and arrangement on this second floor remind her of a five-star hotel lobby she has ever seen. There’s a vast custom L cozy gray sofa with a large flat TV against a white wall. There are not too many displays on that floor, but she can see a few minimalist paintings hanging on the white walls. The impression is simple minimalism.

She can picture in her mind now that she will spend a lot of time with Evan in this place. They both have similar hobbies, like spending time at home. And this space will cover all of their needs and coziness.

Rose also could see there were several doors on the floor. And her eyes landed on the white door where her husband stood. She approached him.

"Come here, wife. This is our bedroom...." Evan pulled her into the room.

This man will not devour her now, right? Rose thought worriedly.

There are still their parents downstairs. But Rose was wrong. After the thud sound of the door closing, Evan carried her like a prince takes his princess. He placed her gently on the soft bed. Her eyes blink several times.

"Rose, I want you!"

Evan’s voice sounded soft, and it was able to make Rose’s heart beat faster. Her tongue was numb, not knowing what to say. She just stared at his eyes as her hand clenched into a fist, too nervous to look at her husband. Now, he is on top of her with his eyes radiance lustful.

Chapter 185: Feeling Odd!

Evan drew closer to Rose. He almost pressed her. Their faces were parallel to each other. So close till they can hear how loud their heartbeat is.

"Do you want it too?"

His seductive voice made a warm feeling spread throughout her body. The cold air from the turbo power air conditioner was no longer able to withstand the sudden rise in her body temperature.

Seeing Evan’s face getting closer to her, she slowly closed her eyes. She can feel his warm lips start to kiss her forehead, down to her eyes, and not stop there. She can feel his lips on the tip of her nose. Then, she started to lose her sanity again when Evan’s lips began to touch her lips. She can smell his fresh mint fragrance hit her nostril. She slightly trembles as she opens her mouth slightly to give her access.

However, before she was completely engulfed in intimacy, there was a wake-up call in her mind. Then her alertness returned. She suddenly pushed Evan. Breathless, she said, "E-Evan, no... not now. O-our parents..." Finally, she was able to string a few words.

Evan felt annoyed because Rose pushed him, but later, he immediately pulled his body away from her when he heard her words. Damn it! He could only curse in his heart.

Rose can see Evan’s face slightly darker. She bites her lips to hold her laugh, looking at how annoying her husband is now.

"Why are they all still here? I’ve told Grandpa that our wedding celebration is until lunch. But it looks like they’ll be staying here until dinner." Evan slammed his body beside Rose.

Rose laughed slightly, looking at her husband lying while pressing her stomach. His face tilted to look at her. She can see how annoyed he is now.

She did not know how to coax her sulking husband. Worrying about what she said would trigger this man to continue what he wants to do now. In a hurry, she woke up and told him she wanted to change her dress.

"Everything you need is already in the walk-in closet. There are only a few clothes because I think we’re only here for a few days." Evan stood up from the bed and walked to their walk-in closet. "I will ask someone to fill all of this empty cupboard with our stuff. So, after our honeymoon, we can start living here. Do you agree with me?" Evan asked as he opened several empty cupboards.

"Hmm... I agree! I will follow my husband’s arrangement." Rose shyly answered after she found a sepia-colored dress knee-length. The dress looks simple, but the glamorous impression is still visible at a glance.

After finding what she was looking for, Rose scanned the arrangement in the cupboard. She liked the layout of the clothes she saw because almost all the clothing choices were her favorite colors; pastel and monochromatic.

"Do you need my help to undress?" Suddenly Evan’s voice could be heard so close behind her. She turned back and was stunned, looking at her husband standing behind her with his hand wrapped around her waist. She froze, but she didn’t refuse because she indeed needed him to take off her wedding gown.

But a question popped up in her mind at this moment. Can this man hold his desire when he sees her half-naked? Right now, she only wears thin undergarments under her dress.

Rose is still shy naked in front of him, but, deep down in her heart, she tells her; that sooner or later, she must get used to being naked in front of her husband. Sooner or later, they will surely make love without a single cloth to separate them.

After a slight second, she nodded and allowed him to help her to undress her dress. But after her dress dropped on the floor, nothing happened.

It turned out that what Rose feared did not happen. Evan could hold his urge. Yet it was her who had almost melted away, turned to look at him, and buried herself into his arms. Before she could do that, she could hear her husband walk out of the room. She didn’t know if she should be happy or sad because her husband didn’t do anything to her half-naked body. She could only rebuke her fragile heart and mind for not being able to protect her from her sultry mind.

Later...

When Rose and Evan went downstairs, she found her mother and Doris sitting on the sofas in the living room.

"Go, talk to your mother. I’ll look for the others. Looks like they’re in the back garden..." said Evan. He wanted his wife to spend a lot of time with her mother because this afternoon, her mother was returning to the East city.

Rose approached her mother and in-laws. They looked focused, talking about something while she sat across from them. But after she sat, they both muted and stared at her sharply as they scanned her from head to toe.

"Mom, Mother-In-law, W-Why you two looking at me like that?" Rose felt strange. She looked at the dress she was wearing. But, after a few seconds, Rose still couldn’t find anything odd about her clothes. It looked nice and did not reveal too much of her skin. She thinks maybe they felt strange with her hair!? But she remembered she hadn’t changed her hairstyle at all.

Her curiosity grew. Rose tried to find a mirror to see her face. Maybe something on her face makes them look at her like that. But she didn’t find a mirror nearby.

"My pretty daughter, we saw something in your eyes..." said Molly as she giggled at Doris beside her.

What!? Rose was shocked by her mother’s words. A booger? Gosh! It’s really embarrassing, though. Just before, she wanted to stand up and go to the powder room. She stops when hearing Doris’ words, "Yes, Rose. We see something that will make us happy. Truly happy!"

Did my boogers make them happy? Rose wanted to laugh, but she held it while waiting for her mother to complete her words.

"Daughter, we saw in your eyes that a grandchild is coming soon. We both feel happy!" Molly’s eyes are beaming, looking blissful at her little daughter. She can’t wait to have a grandchild from her daughter and Evan.

But not so with Rose, she was unable to string words when she heard her mother’s words. She was utterly speechless.
