Ch. 406..410: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 406-410
Chapter 406: Kill or Be Killed
Does that stupid Archy know Keira is dating Oliver? Is that why he asked Seth to kidnap Keira, to take revenge on Oliver?
Rose was dumbfounded when she realized all of this.
Does she also know who Keira Spencer is?
Archy was so stupid. How dare he provoke the Spencer family again? After he almost killed her in Oliver’s car accident, now he was endangering Keira’s life too. Gosh!
Rose still couldn’t believe it. After they gave Archy a chance to live, Archy made a plan to take revenge on Oliver like this.
Archy... you are so foolish.
"Who’s Archy?" Keira never knew Archy. Who is that person? Why did he kidnap her?
Rose was stunned to hear Keira’s question. She smiles at her and tells her that she will explain everything later. Now, they have to leave this place alive.
Hearing no movement from outside, Rose slowly opened the door. She pushed Seth to walk first as her gun pressed at his back head—ready to blow his skull.
"Don’t try to trick me..." Rose’s cold voice made Seth smile. He didn’t say anything, just walked along the corridor.
Rose felt tense as she followed Seth from behind. Soon they arrived at the stairs without seeing anyone. She felt a little relieved.
"Girl, even though I’m the leader here, I can’t guarantee you will escape this place smoothly...."
She pressed her gun harder against Seth’s head as if to warn him that she could kill him anytime.
They continue to walk...
Rose felt something was off—this place was too peaceful as if there were no other persons in this warehouse, only the three.
Her heart was restless as they slowly descended the stairs. Rose stared ahead, and her ears sharpened at the slightest movement around her. Occasionally she glanced behind—afraid someone would ambush them from behind.
And what Rose feared began to happen...
As they were halfway down the stairs, Rose heard several pairs of footsteps from her right. She saw two doors tightly shut. However, a few moments later, one door slowly opened.
Her heart sank when she saw four tall and big men come out of the room. She grabbed Seth to shield them in a flash while she pressed the gun behind his head.
"Seth, you know what to do, yeah! Or else your brain will explode!"
With this sudden tense atmosphere, Rose’s brain was forced to think fast—a plan to escape from this place unscathed. She couldn’t make a mistake, or she and Keira would lose their lives.
Deep down, she prayed Oscar would appear to save them.
Rose became annoyed because until now, Oscar had not appeared. She cursed him in her heart for being too slow. If Sam had been guarding her, he would have found her.
"BOSS!!! What happened?" One of the men who just came out of the room asked when he saw Seth being held hostage by two young girls. He could see the wound on Seth’s waist clearly, and his face was pale as if all the blood on his face had left him.
Instantly the quiet warehouse turned into a frenzy as the four men exchanged words...
"Huh! Isn’t that the girl we kidnapped?"
"Who is the woman behind the boss?"
"Shit!! Our base is under attack?"
Hurry... call everyone to come here!"
"Why should we need more people? The four of us would be enough to handle just two chicks."
"Oh yeah. Hahaha, you’re right, my brother... But should we kill them both? They are too pretty to be wasted. And I’m no necrophilia."
"Yeah. Yeah. Too bad if we kill those gorgeous gals. They are gorgeous and suitable to warm our bed, bro...."
They all laugh but only for a second. Soon, they slowly took out their guns and pointed at Rose and Keira—ready to receive orders from their leader, who was held captive by the two beauties.
"Boss! We’re going to shoot these gals... Are you okay with that?" One of the men asks.
Rose was lost for words to hear the discussion of these stupid-stinky gangsters.
Instantly she wanted to teach them how to speak politely.
Keira almost choked hearing this lowly gangster insulting her ear.
"S-Sis, what are we going to do?" Keira whispered in her trembling voice.
"Calm down, Kei! We can definitely get out of here..." said Rose confidently.
She pressed the gun at Seth’s back head harder, wanting to remind him she could kill him any second and that his boys could do nothing about it.
"If you don’t ask them to back off, I will shoot your brains out..."
Rose’s escape plan was to fight them—kill or be killed. She wasn’t afraid of them because she had Seth’s gun and a lot of ammo to fight them.
Nevertheless, deep down in her heart, she still hoped to avoid bloodshed because the chances of her and Keira getting hurt were very high. She also didn’t want to kill people; she didn’t like the feeling that came after doing that.
Still...
If her plan was unavoidable, then she would kill them all.
"Beauty, please stop your plan, or I will shoot you now." One of the men downstairs said as his deep eyes stared intently at Rose.
Her cold eyes showed no fear, and she returned the man’s gaze. "Yeah? Before you can do that, I will send your boss to hell..."
"What the fuck! This beauty is too bold...."
Seth shook his head slowly, asking his men not to do anything.
"BOSS!?" They all shouted in disbelief, seeing Seth shaking his head.
How could their boss be so cowardly to this beauty?
Disobeying Seth’s orders, the four men continued to aim their guns at Rose and Keira.
"Guys!!" Seth’s cold voice echoed through the room. "Don’t do anything stupid, or I could end up dead. Let them take me out of this place...."
Even though Seth spoke in a low voice, his subordinates instantly felt their bodies freeze. Their boss meant it, letting these two beauties go? Has he gone mad? How could a man as cruel as him be able to submit to these two weak girls?
They are all dumbfounded.
Chapter 407: Escaped Plan
Seth continued his steps down the stairs, followed by Rose and Keira.
This time Rose was really wary of the situation. She held two guns in her hands, one pressed at Seth’s head and the other aimed at a group of stupid gangsters. Now, they are moving towards the tightly closed exit.
"Open the door!" Seth’s command.
There was some relief in Rose’s heart as she watched one of the gangsters move toward the door, though it was clear from the man’s face that he didn’t want to do it.
However...
Just before the man reached the door, a group of men appeared from another door near the stairs.
Rose was shocked. She saw they were all wielding firearms—as if they had been prepared to attack them.
After she had high hopes of a smooth escape from this warehouse, this shameless Seth childishly broke her hopes. Seth’s idea was too outrageous.
Apparently, this shameless and stupid Seth couldn’t wait to go to hell. Fine! She would gladly send him straight to hell’s door...
Then Rose pushed Seth’s back head with her gun and, in a flash, made him her shield. She moved him a few steps to distance them from the gangster. After she found a safe place to hide—behind a vast machine—she smacked Seth’s head with her gun’s hand grip.
Despite being scared and a bit upset, Seth just burst out laughing. This confused Rose.
Has this guy lost his mind because she was hitting his head a few times!?
"I’m not afraid of you, little girl!!" said Seth. He knew this little devil would never kill him because, unlike his boys, this girl ain’t no stupid. She knew his life was precious—if she killed him, his boys would attack her.
However, unbeknownst to Seth, the thought he has is wrong. Because Rose’s plan was to kill them all.
"Girl, are you afraid now?"
Seth’s soft sinister voice was like a wake-up call for Rose—to get ready. A wicked smile curved from the corner of her lips. Then, with her other hand free, she holds Seth’s neck and presses the gun on his head." Fuck you. You’re dead now", Rose said coldly.
"Wait...wait... I’ve told you... you won’t be able to escape from here if my men show up. Well, they are a little stubborn and a bit stupid. They will never hear my orders...." Seth continued his words.
Rose understood it wasn’t easy to get out of this place. If she was alone, the chances of escaping were enormous. But, the problem is, there is Keira.
She looked at Keira behind, "Kei, can you use a gun? Take the gun from my waist."
Rose had heard that Keira had been practicing shooting, but she had never seen her use a gun. So, she didn’t know how helpful Keira would be.
"Okay. I can shoot. I’ve been practicing several times. But I’m not as good as you, sis..." Keira smiled and held the gun Rose gave her. After making sure the ammunition was loaded, she looked at Rose. "Well, it’s kill or be killed, right, sis? I will fight with everything I got to get out of this fucking hell! Let’s fight, sister..."
Keira didn’t want to be a burden to her cousin. She will help her—It is better to die in battle than to be raped by these gangsters.
Rose smiled back at Keira. Somehow she felt a light breeze blowing against her body—the chance to escape from here increased—she nodded slowly at Keira.
They will fight. No! But, she would fight alone. She only needed Keira to do something else that was equally meaningful.
Then...
Rose looked at the gangsters with a look that couldn’t be described in words.
"Do you want to kill us?" Her icy voice echoed throughout the warehouse and made all the men silent, hearing her words. "You can try... but you know you’ll lose!"
"Hahaha... little girl. Stop playing. You can get hurt if you are against us. You better stop doing this. We promise you, we won’t hurt you... we will be gentle with you and your friend." The man with the scar on his face said. Then slowly, he took a few steps forward.
Just as he thought the girl wasn’t going to shoot him...
Suddenly, gunshots rang out, and he stumbled backward, followed by a loud scream that escaped his throat as he felt unbearable pain in his shoulder—the gun in his hand was thrown. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the blood flow from his arms and shoulders.
"Shit!! This beauty shot me!?" The man with the scar on his face muttered.
He raised his head to look at the girl, but his body shuddered when his eyes met hers.
Rose curled her lips into a nasty smile, and the evil flames danced happily in her eyes, "You’re too noisy!" She chuckled. "This is my warning. My next shot will scatter your stupid brains out. Dare to try? Come on, step forward...."
Rose’s voice could make the men laughing at her fall silent. No one spoke or even moved. It was as if they had suddenly become statues. The only sound that could be heard was the lengthy groans of the man who had just been shot.
"Seth! Do you still think I’m weak? You were wrong. I can eliminate all of you if I want. But... I’m in a hurry. I can’t play with all of you. I have to go home for dinner with my family. So you decide now... should you let me go, or should we play more deadly games?" Rose pressed the gun to Sean’s head.
Seth gritted his teeth. He thought this little devil would be frightened after being suppressed by his men, but apparently, he was wrong.
He didn’t want to kill this girl because he liked her. But, he also never thought about releasing her—This warehouse will be exposed if these two girls escape alive.
So, he had no other way but to kill these two beauties.
He stared intently at his subordinates while giving them a code of his actions.
In a flash, Seth turned his body and kicked Keira’s knee. Then in an instant, he ran away from Rose.
After escaping from Rose, Seth hides in the other machine. He laughed at the sound of gunshots echoing through the room—his subordinates were going to clean up the damn girl.
Chapter 408: They Shoot Her
Rose was grateful to learn martial art from Sam—close combat. Now, she could dodge Seth’s kick before it hit her leg.
That shameless Seth, he thought she could only shoot and not hand-to-hand combat!? His loss.
Well, even though her martial arts skills weren’t as good as Sam’s, she learned directly from him as a martial arts expert.
With lightning speed, Rose grabbed Keira’s hand and pulled Keira so she could find another machine to hide in. No one could see her movements, and even a single bullet could hit them.
"That stupid Seth, he seeks death... I’ll grant his wish then!" said Rose calmly then she informed Keira of her escape plan.
While Rose was busy talking with Keira, the lowly gangster started to exchange their shameless words again...
"Huh! Has anyone seen where the little girl went? I can’t see her. She’s moving so fast..."
"Yeah, you’re right... but don’t worry, that gal will never escape from this place."
"Brothers, don’t forget she has a gun, and she’s quite capable of using a gun."
"Even if she has a gun, so what? She can’t beat us all, right!?"
"Of course!!"
"Little girl, you better give up..."
"Yes! Better to give up now than get hurt..."
"This little girl is fearless, but luckily for us, she is slow-witted... hahaha."
"Bhahaha indeed, she is too bold...."
Even though their words hurt Rose’s ears, she couldn’t help but smile wryly—She would take care of them all soon.
For now...
Rose ignored their mocking words. She was too busy planning; how to immobilize them all and escape from this place unharmed.
After a few seconds, for the last time, Rose looked into Keira’s eyes. "Kei, listen carefully... make sure you run fast to the place I said before. Don’t worry about me. I can take care of them...."
"NO... NO... Sister!" Keira was panicked to hear that Rose would be fighting alone. No way, she would never allow her to do that. How could she escape while her savior fights alone!?
"I won’t explain again what I said before. Go now, or we won’t be able to get out of this place alive!!" said Rose. She ignored Keira, who was reluctant to leave. Her eyes stared ahead, trying to find her next target.
Keira clenched her fists. She wanted to stay here to help Rose, but what Rose ordered her was very important.
After seeing Rose turn ahead, ignore her; Keira sprinted to the room behind them. She will find Oscar and the others.
A cold grin spread across Rose’s face as she found several burly men near a machine silently walking toward her.
Without hesitation, Rose shot them all. Gunshots echoed throughout the warehouse...
’Bang Bang Bang’
The three men fell to the floor—motionless as if they died on the spot. It’s a headshot. Each man had received one bullet wound on their temple.
After Rose shot three targets, she ran to the center of the warehouse.
Rose found a huge-tall rusty machine. She climbed to the top without difficulty—this was a great place to see all her targets.
"What a bunch of pigs! They are all idiots. How could they claim to be gangsters!? Gosh!!" Rose was talking to herself as she aimed a gun at her next target.
Wasting no time, Rose fired without allowing them to get close to where she was and Keira’s escape route.
She hopes Keira can carry out her orders. Earlier, she had asked Keira to leave this warehouse and look for Oscar. She believed Oscar must be around here. But it was difficult for Oscar to find her location among the dozens of warehouses in this area because it had been snowing heavily since earlier. The car tracks, as well as the footprints, would have been covered in snow by now.
"What the fuck!!" The tan-skinned man screamed in horror when he saw three of his comrades shot not far from his hiding place.
"Damn!! They all died on the spot..." Another man shouted.
"Where is she? Why did she suddenly disappear?" One of the men with black hair shouted. He was sure he had seen the girl shoot from the top of the machine, but she vanished from his sight in the blink of an eye.
"Damn it!! What are you guys fucking doing? Find her!! Kill her now..." Shen shouted. "And she is a sniper, don’t underestimate her!" He forgot to remind his man.
Seth’s heart was boiling when he saw his nearly ten subordinates lying motionless on the floor—He didn’t know if they were alive or dead.
"Hahaha... Seth!! Are you scared now?" said Rose as she dashed to another spot. "I told you, I am not afraid of all of you. But, you don’t believe me, even forcing me to kill them all..." A witty voice could make all the gangsters speechless. "Please, don’t blame me because it’s your fucking fault..."
"Shit!! This girl is unusually talented. She shoots them on the temples..." said the black-haired men in horror. He followed the girl’s voice, trying to locate her, but he saw nothing, only shadows moving around so fast.
"Damn!! Where is..." Before the black-haired man could finish his words, he could feel a cold gust of wind pass through him. He froze.
"I’m here...." A soft female voice sounded near his ear, followed by a loud ’bang’ that shattered his eardrums. Instantly, his hearing slowly disappeared. His vision began to blur, and a metallic smell pierced his nose, only a few seconds passed, and the darkness swallowed him.
"Stupid fucking gangsters!" Rose cursed. She felt disgusted as the man’s blood splattered on her coat. Feeling annoyed, she dashed elsewhere, looking for another prey. The prey has become the predator....
Rose is feeling excited. Somehow she felt like she had training in Combat Shooting Drills.
Meanwhile...
About two hundred meters from the gray warehouse, Oscar heard gunshots repeatedly. His heart felt like it was going to shatter, imagining his Lady Boss fighting with the kidnappers.
Oscar looked back at Sam, who was looking for a trail behind. "Sam, that’s Lady boss... Let’s go!" He ran fast to the warehouse.
"Damn!! This snow is really troublesome. There aren’t any tire tracks left for us to see..." Sam grumbled as he ran after Oscar toward the gunshots.
"Guys, signal the others to head to this location. Do it fast!!" Sam shouted again. He was sure his Lady Boss must be in that warehouse.
When Oscar and Sam arrived in front of the gates of the gray warehouse, a woman ran towards them.
"Lady boss?" shouted Sam.
"No. That’s not Lady Boss. She’s not... That’s Keira Spencer!" Oscar answered and ran towards Keira. He felt his heart tighten when he saw blood dripping from Keira’s arm.
"Keira! Are you alright? Did you get shot? Where?" Oscar was standing before Keira feeling worried.
Keira shook her head, breathing shallowly. Trying to calm the tension that was engulfing her.
"I-I didn’t get shot. It’s only a small scratch..."
"Where is she? Where is my lady boss?" Oscar held Keira, who was limply in his arms.
"O-Oscar... Please H-Help... Help my sister Rose. She’s still inside. They were shooting at her...." Keira’s voice was barely audible. "T-There is an entrance at the back. You can enter from there..." as she said, her vision darkened, and she lost consciousness.
"Guys, take care of her and get her out of here!" Oscar handed Keira to one of the Silver Phoenix members, then he ran behind the warehouse. Sam and the others followed Oscar from behind.
Soon, they found a broken window and a pile of wooden boxes near the window.
Oscar, Sam, and the others were still tense as they heard gunshots from inside the warehouse, getting increasingly intense and brutal.
Sam’s face looked so dark, imagining what was going on inside. His feeling now differed from when he let his Lady Boss enter the Combat Shooting Drill arena a few months ago. This time he was not only worried but also frightened. Afraid Lady Boss gets hurt—He can’t imagine what Boss Evan will do if he finds out about this incident.
Somehow, Sam felt sorry for Oscar. This guy is very unlucky. This incident happened when Lady Boss was under his care.
A feeling of gratitude rose in Sam’s heart because this kidnapping happened when he was not in charge.
A few hours ago, Sam was in the control room of the Silver Phoenix when Oscar suddenly asked for the help of the S-Team. It’s the elite team assigned to the top priority in the organization—he heard and knew what had happened to Rose.
As someone close to Rose, Sam was determined to save her. Sam didn’t care anymore about Evan’s ban—an order not to return to the field. His mission this time was to bring Rose from this warehouse alive and unscathed.
Sam entered the warehouse with Oscar and the others. They could hear gunshots still going on, even more, intense than before. He quickly left the room, ready to kill everyone shooting Rose, his lady boss.
Chapter 409: Devoured
When Sam and the others came out of the room, they were shocked. The gunfire instantly stopped. No more sound could be heard. Only the pungent smell of blood filled the air.
Sam’s body stiffened as he saw several burly men lying motionless on the floor with pools of blood all around them.
"Were they all killed by Lady Boss!?" Sam muttered in disbelief at what he saw.
"This... Sam, according to Keira, our Lady Boss is alone here, fighting the gangsters, so she must have done it alone...." Oscar explained. He was still shocked by what he saw—corpses lying in several places.
It was hard for Oscar to understand what he was witnessing now; how could a girl as gentle as Lady Boss have the mental resilience to slaughter these professional gangsters!? And she managed to slay them all. This bloody battle was truly over, won by his gentle Lady Boss.
"Wow, Lady Boss is so fierce." One of the Silver Phoenix members said. "How many people are here?" He had already passed the 8 dead gangsters lying on the floor.
The further Sam and the others went into the inner warehouse, the more surprised he was to see so many dead bodies on the floor.
Sam stopped in his tracks. He looked back and was surprised to see Oscar’s face was so pale—looking around.
Sam wasn’t surprised alone, and Oscar and the rest of the team felt it too.
"You guys spread around this place, now! Find the Lady Boss and make sure there are no more threats. If you find any surviving gangsters, don’t kill them. We need them for investigation!"
After Sam gave orders to all the members of the Silver Phoenix, he immediately moved. He found a tall machine—a great place to see the overall situation of the warehouse.
Once on top of the machine, Sam immediately caught the figure he was looking for. His face went pale when he saw the girl he used to look after, sitting on the floor leaning against one of the machines in a hidden corner—part of her coat was covered in blood.
Damn it!! Lady Boss is injured!!" Sam jumped from a height of two meters without difficulty. He ran towards the Lady Boss with extreme fear—no language could describe how fearful he was now.
Oscar was surprised to see Sam running somewhere at high speed. He followed after asking the others to secure the warehouse—making sure there was no more danger lurking within this warehouse.
A few minutes ago...
Just as Sam and the others enter the warehouse.
Rose didn’t have the strength to get up again. She fell limply on the floor...
She was worn out after exterminating all the bandits in this place. For some reason, she suddenly felt dizzy—the strong smell of blood assaulted her sense of smell and made her nauseous.
Alone fighting in close-combat gunfighting against more than forty gangsters was enough to drain Rose’s energy. Her whole body ached. Her muscles seemed to betray her; they protested, not giving her the strength to move her body or even stand up from this cold floor.
With the remaining strength, Rose holds her gun, ready to shoot if there are gangsters still alive, and wants to hurt her.
She wished all the gangsters in this warehouse were dead. Because she didn’t know if she could still shoot—the pain in her arm worsened.
That bastard Seth, he’s wicked! How dare he trick her! She got Seth’s bullet for her foolishness in trusting that damn man—he pretends to beg for forgiveness and promises to be a witness against Archy Hester. But, when she was off guard, the man shot her instead.
Damn it!!
Luckily she was still able to dodge. However, her strength was lessened, making her unable to move faster— Seth’s bullet pierced her arm.
When Rose had a chance, she shot the damn Seth. But she holds herself from killing him. Rose shoots to incapacitate and immobilize him. She shot both his legs and arms—She needed Seth as a witness to put Archy Hester in prison.
This time, Rose would make sure Archy Hester rotted in jail. She would not let Old Hester help his beloved grandson.
"Keira....hope you find Oscar," Rose muttered quietly, "Hurry up, Kei... I can’t stand this pain anymore..." her eyes started to feel heavy. She felt like she just wanted to sleep so she wouldn’t feel the pain in her arm.
This was the first time Rose had experienced such unbearable pain; it felt like thousands of drills had been stabbed into her bones—crushing her arms.
Rose was afraid of what she thought; Can she still use this arm?
"God... If this is my punishment for taking too many lives today, I can’t accept it—I have no choice but to kill them all. Because if not, my life will be lost. So please, God, I beg you, heal my hand, so I can use it as usual..."
After a few minutes passed, Rose’s heart felt tight, and her breathing began to feel heavy and weak. She could feel her whole body shivering, cold as if she had just been thrown into an icy lake.
Before the darkness completely swallowed her up, for the last time, she took a deep breath, and at the same time, Evan’s face appeared in her mind—like video clips...
Evan smiled sweetly at her.
Evan burst out laughing at her joke.
Evan was seriously reading a work file on his laptop.
Evan was excited when they were making love.
Evan got angry when he saw her getting hurt.
Rose’s eyes felt warm, and a tear flowed down her cheeks, "Evan, my dear hubby, I’m sorry that I couldn’t keep my promise. I was hurt... I love you so much, Evan Collins, and I really miss you. I hope you are here...."
It wasn’t long before her body felt weaker. She no longer felt all of her senses as darkness completely devoured her entire body.
Chapter 410: Badly Injury
This was the darkest day for the Spencer and Collins family. Two of their family members were kidnapped. The criminals almost took their lives and dignity.
News of this incident will go nowhere. This is top-secret stuff. Only special forces led by Sean Spencer’s unit know about this incident, as the Black Eagle is responsible for fighting illegal drug trafficking syndicates—the warehouse was used as a den to produce and store illegal drugs.
Even the media doesn’t know about this kidnapping case. What was spread to the media were only raids on warehouses where illegal drugs were stored and produced—connected to international syndicates.
And this raid took Astington citizens by surprise. The citizens appreciate the Special Force that eradicated the international drug trafficking syndicate—one of the biggest in Astington’s history.
Now, Spencer and Collins’ family is gathered in front of the surgery room at Promise Hospital.
Molly and Doris sat on one of the sofas in the lounge area in front of the surgery room.
Meanwhile, Amanda Spencer was busy complaining to Anthony Collins—His son, Evan, wasn’t here when his wife got hurt.
"Brother Anthony, how could Evan choose to stay in the US for Christmas Eve? This is their first year as husband and wife to celebrate Christmas eve... how dare he put his job ahead of his family!! Leaving my niece Rose alone, and now she gets hurt!?"
Amanda is unhappy because Evan is starting to follow in the footsteps of his father, Anthony. This man used to neglect his wife and son. He seems to prefer to spend his time with his business—one of the reasons Doris asked for a divorce from him was because of this.
"Amanda, you know that my relationship with Evan is not harmonious... I didn’t even know that he was still in the US."
Anthony could only take a deep breath, remembering his relationship with Evan. Even though his son’s attitude was softer towards him nowadays, that brat kept some distance from him. Instead, he felt closer to his daughter-in-law than his own son.
"Amanda, don’t be mad at my in-law..." Molly couldn’t bear to see Anthony Collins being scolded by Amanda.
While Amanda was still venting her anger, not far from where they were...
Old Collins and Old Spencer sat in a corner without saying anything. Their faces looked concerned. Particularly when they hear that their two granddaughters have just been kidnapped. Rose was injured and had to be operated on immediately, while Keira was heavily traumatized. Until now, she still barely speaks and distances herself from everyone. The doctor has given her medicine to enable her to sleep and to calm herself down—she was emotionally unstable at the moment.
Emily Stearn, Keira’s mother, could not hide her concern for her daughter’s condition. As a psychologist, she knows that her daughter’s trauma is not simple. She stays in the wardroom beside her daughter, accompanied by her husband, Jayson Spencer.
Meanwhile...
Not far from the surgery room, in the farthest corner that no one could see, Oscar and Sam sat side by side. Silently listening to Amanda Spencer’s relentless rage—reminding them of their big boss.
"Sam, I’m doomed!! If Boss Evan finds out his beloved woman is injured, he will kill me...." Oscar couldn’t hide how worried he was right now. It was like he wanted to turn back time—not leaving Rose and Keira alone in the coffee shop. Because his mistake caused this to happen.
How could he explain it to Boss Evan!?
"I was too careless!! I go to the toilet when I really don’t have to...." Oscar buried his head between his knees while squeezing his hair, feeling mad at himself.
After a while, he continued, "I was too hasty because I believed Collins Mall was safe. I lowered my guard! I’m so stupid. I hope boss Evan doesn’t find out about this by now. Hopefully, when he finds out, Lady Boss has finished surgery and can talk to him...."
Only Lady Boss can save him from this problem, from the punishment.
Sam glanced at Oscar with a pitiful-looking face. This man is very unlucky. The kidnapping had nothing to do with the Lady Boss—their target was Keira Spencer. It’s just that their Lady Boss was there, witnessing the abductions. Obviously, their Lady Boss wouldn’t stay still. And in the end, their Lady Boss got involved and got hurt.
Rose’s injury can be categorized as a nearly severe injury. According to what Sam heard from the doctor, the bullet crushed her left arm bones. She needed major surgery to restore function to her bones. This news worried Sam: Boss Evan would obviously be furious if he found out.
Sam hopes the lady boss’s hand can be as healthy as usual. Because if not, it would make her half crippled—she would no longer be able to hold a gun, much less be a sniper. And, of course, her daily activities will be disrupted.
If Boss Evan returns, he will be furious. This poor Oscar will be severely punished for not doing his assignment correctly.
Sam slowly patted Oscar on the back, "Brother... Big Boss already knows! And I’m sure he’s already flown to Astington...."
Oscar was shocked.
He raised his head and looked at Sam, "Fuck you, Sam!? You betrayed me?? Why did you tell Big Boss right away? I warned you not to tell him just yet...." Oscar’s eyes were burning as if he wanted to burn Sam’s face through his eyes.
"Man... How can you forget your own stuff?" Sam chuckled. Apparently, this man had gone mad, too depressed about this matter. "Any request for an S-Team mission, boss Evan will notify! He’ll figure it out right away when you call basecamp..." Sam couldn’t believe this top hacker had forgotten. Even though he was the one who created the program.
Oscar instantly froze on the spot.
His eyes flashed in surprise when he heard Sam’s words.
Indeed Boss Evan will immediately know about his request. Even though Boss Evan wasn’t holding his cell phone, Gavin, as his personal assistant, would also receive the notification.
"Damn it!! I think I’m doomed, Sam...." Oscar cursed himself.
