Ch. 466..470: Rebirth_ Dancing In My Destiny Chapter 466-470
Chapter 466: Wedding Announcement
Oliver looked at James in shock. But, a few seconds later, he realized something. He turned his gaze to Rose, "What the hell, Rose! You, you told him!?" He snapped.
"Wow, chill, Oliver! I didn’t tell him directly, but he guessed it." Rose answered briefly. She didn’t have time to talk about it. She only cares about the news out there."Oliver, what do you mean you can’t do anything about the news out there!?"
Oliver could only take a deep breath feeling angry, but he couldn’t express it. This woman was his Boss and his best friend, a naughty friend.
"Your husband already took care of everything. He made a press release that he married you. He also clarified that the photo of the woman he was with at the Spencer Hotel was you..."
Rose was surprised. Isn’t he still on the plane?
"He also said he would take legal action against all media outlets and A-Netz who write news and defamatory comments. Damn!! Evan is one step ahead of us, Boss. That’s why I couldn’t do anything." Oliver continued.
Rose couldn’t hide how happy she was to hear this. Finally, her relationship with Evan was revealed. As James said, this method can diminish the negative news about her out there.
But she was still confused. How did Evan do it? Isn’t he still flying to South City?
"Rose... Rose..." James called Rose, who was in a daze in her chair.
"Huh! What?"
"Your phone has been ringing ever since," said James.
It was then Rose heard a unique ringtone from her coat pocket. She immediately took out her cell phone. "Hubby, you finally called..." Said Rose as she walked out of Oliver’s office.
She headed to her office using the emergency exit stair — she only needed to go up one floor.
"Wife, where are you?" Evan asks calmly.
Rose felt a little relieved. If Evan sounded calm, all the trouble out there was settled. At least, that’s what she hopes.
"I’m in my office. About the news..."
"Wife, I apologize for making you worry. I didn’t expect them to make such a fuss while I was flying..."
This time Evan was really annoyed. The person behind all this drama is really cunning. He seemed to know what he was doing. Ever since the ambush in New York, Evan had grown suspicious. Someone had betrayed him. That person always knew his schedule — he attacked him when he was off guard.
"Do you know who did it?" Rose feels that the gossip spread on the internet is not simple. "Hubby, don’t hide anything from me. I know someone made this mess on purpose, right?" Her hand gripped her phone tightly in annoyance.
Who the hell did this?
Today, something strange appeared inside her. She could feel something inside her boiling, and her killing intent started to engulf her. If she found that person, she didn’t mind taking their life, just like she killed the bandits in the warehouse.
Evan was surprised to hear her words. So, she knows!?
"Yes, there is someone behind all of this. This person deliberately attacked me. But, wife, you don’t need to worry. I will handle it. For now, this person has no way of attacking me... And I promise you, I will find them soon!"
"I know. But..." The annoyance within her had not subsided. She would find a way to catch that person. "...my father knew about this and was angry."
"Yeah, I know. Father just called me. He asked me to meet him." Evan paused to take a deep breath before he continued, "Wife, I’m heading to the capital now. I’ll call you later after the plane lands."
"Okay, be careful! I’ll be waiting for your call."
After finishing talking with Evan, Rose immediately returned to her office. She needed to check the latest news.
How shocked Rose was when she read the headlines. The trending news was no longer about Carla Miller and Evan at this time but about her and Evan.
The news of her wedding announcement not only appeared on gossip sites, but business news portals also reported it. And her identity as the founder of the Willson Group was immediately revealed. Not only that but, now her status as the daughter of Nicholas Spencer is finally known to the public.
To her surprise, she now watches the interview video — with Jayson Spencer who was questioned about her identity. Sure enough, her uncle confirmed her status as his niece.
It wasn’t just the media that was excited about this news, but A-Netz too. They no longer mocked Evan. Instead, they start flattering Evan and Rose’s relationship. Much A-Netz envies Rose because she has conquered the best bachelor in the country.
Despite all this, Rose still can’t believe that her face is now adorning all news websites and social media in just a few minutes. She felt unreal by this news, but deep down, she felt bliss.
Now, she no longer needed to hide her relationship with Evan and her identity as part of the Spencer Family. Everyone already knows about it.
But now, she felt a little scared. Because of this shocking news, there is a high price she has to pay; she will lose her freedom, and everyone now knows about her.
"Oh my!! Where did they get my closeup photo!?"
Rose felt strange how her photos from college spread on the internet. She still remembered she rarely took pictures when she was in college. And this picture is...
Rose frowned, looking at her photo on the computer screen. After a few seconds had passed, she suddenly felt her body shiver.
"This, this photo... How could anyone find this photo? This..." Rose’s hands trembled as she reached for her cell phone. With great difficulty, she dialed Oliver’s number.
"Rose?" Oliver was surprised to receive a call from Rose.
"O-Oliver, c-can you trace who uploaded my closeup photo on the internet!?" Her voice was still shaking. She is too scared of what’s on her mind right now.
Chapter 467: Investigated
"O-Oliver, c-can you trace who uploaded my closeup photo on the internet!?" Her voice was still shaking. She is too scared of what’s on her mind right now.
"Oh, isn’t that a picture of you from college?"
"Yeah...It is."
"Friend, you look young and beautiful in that photo. Looks like we don’t need to delete that photo, do we?"
"That’s not a problem. But I need you to track down who uploaded the photo. I mean, the first person who uploaded it..."
She wanted to know why that person could get this photo. And she was confident. This matter was not as simple as she had imagined. In fact, she was starting to suspect that this person had something to do with the person who wanted to attack Evan.
"Is it important?" Oliver asked. He didn’t have much time now. He wanted to continue his work, but this girl asked him to do something again, which sounded odd. That left him no other choice but to enter his computer room again.
"Yes! This is very important. I have to know who was the first to upload this photo..."
Rose believes this photo will not be owned by anyone except Dustin. It’s a bit strange because this photo appears on the internet even though Dustin has been dead for a long time.
"Fine, I’ll track that person..." Oliver started typing, but something stopped him. "Rose, why do you sound scared? Is something bothering you right now?" He asked again.
"Hmm, Oliver, how did that photo get on the internet?"
"Yes, because someone uploaded it. What’s wrong?" Oliver stopped typing. He was confused by how scared Rose was on the other end. "Is there a story behind this photo?"
"Th-That picture should have never appeared. Because it was taken by a dead person..."
Immediately Oliver felt a chill. The dead person? Who?
"What are you talking about, Rose? Can you be clear about this? Sorry friend, my mind is a little fuzzy today. I can’t play the guessing game with you...." Oliver took a deep breath but immediately felt wary as he heard nothing on the other end.
Usually, this girl would scold him, but now she didn’t say anything. She kept silent for a long time, giving him goosebumps.
"Rose? Are you still there?" Oliver checked his cell phone.
"I’m here. Oliver, that photo belongs to Dustin. He took it during our trip. I’m sure he’s never posted that photo anywhere. You know him, right? He’s also not active on social media. And even if he does post something on his social media, he always posts his band pics. He never posts my picture there...."
Oliver was stunned.
"Now, tell me... how did this private photo spread on the internet? Especially when the owner of this picture has been dead for so long?" Rose’s voice was eerie and made Oliver’s body shiver slightly.
"Damn it! You’re right. Who uploaded the photo? Was it his mother? Or did someone find his cell phone?" Oliver asked. Now he understood why Rose was scared.
"I don’t know, that’s why I ask you!"
"Damn!! Why do I suddenly feel scared here? Did that guy haunt you after he became a ghost?"
Rose frowned.
"Hahaha... that can’t be. You know that is impossible, do you? How can a ghost use his cell phone?" Oliver then pauses. "Ah, boss, I remember something. Do you remember White Skull Gang? Did they do it?"
This organization seems to have Dustin’s cell phone. And it could be those who deliberately uploaded Rose’s clear photos to get revenge.
Rose’s face darkens as she remembers the gangster who attacked her and Sam after returning from Oliver’s house, the first time she recruited him to join the Wilson Group.
Did they do it? But didn’t Sean clean up the organization through special ops, Black Eagle!?
This fact bothered her. Rose realizes that the White Skull Gang was exterminated because of a case in which she and Dustin were involved. So, maybe some of the White Skull Gang members will take revenge on her.
More and more questions whirled around Rose’s mind, similar to a fog covering the truth.
"Damn it!! Why, why does this year feel like it’s not my year? Since the beginning of the year, there’s been a problem that’s been haunting me!?" She speaks in her mind.
After a few moments, Rose took a deep breath and tried to calm her head so she could think more clearly.
"Boss... Are you there? Can you say something?"
Rose flinched at Oliver’s voice, "Oliver, can you use your ability to find out?" She starts to get annoyed with Oliver. This man was wasting her time — she didn’t want to delay any longer. She wanted to know who was behind all of this.
"Sure I can. OK, OK, I’ll hang up now. I’ll track down the uploader and call you when I get the information." Oliver ended the call and busied himself, trying to find the culprit. He, too, was thrilled to know the truth.
Rose put her phone on the table. She felt like her mind was going to explode. There were too many strange questions running through her mind right now.
She closed her eyes and leaned back in the chair. She needed to calm her mind. But just moments into calm, she suddenly opened her eyes again.
Her cell phone rings. When she saw her father’s name appear on the screen, she immediately picked it up.
"Dad..." she greeted cheerfully.
"Daughter, how are you feeling?" Nicholas Spencer’s voice was low, but Rose could hear the anger in his tone.
"I’m fine, dad. Why did you call me?" Rose asked, worried that her father was still furious with the news.
"I just wanted to invite you and Evan to have dinner with us. Dad wanted to talk to your husband..."
She gulped as she tightened her grip on her cell phone.
Why did her father want to talk to Evan again? Haven’t all the problems been solved?
Chapter 468: Found The Perp
Why did her father want to talk to Evan again? Haven’t all the problems been solved?
"My daughter, did you hear me?"
"Oh... Yes, yes, dad, I hear. I will come with Evan..." Rose answered quickly.
"All right! See you tonight."
Rose was thumping, seeing her cell phone screen turn dark. Suddenly she no longer had the urge to continue her work.
At this moment, her mind was filled with various kinds of questions. It was a tricky question for her to solve; why did her father want to meet Evan!?
Her head was dizzy even more. She stood up and headed to the small buffet near her desk. She needs a pill to get rid of her headache.
After taking two painkillers, she lay on the sofa holding her cell phone. Today she will solve all the sources of her headaches.
If this problem is not resolved soon, she might go crazy if her past comes back to haunt her.
Since the beginning of the year, she has felt something strange happen to her. Memories of a little boy that seemed to come to mind never stopped to this day. And now, this case related to her scumbag husband from her past life suddenly challenged her nerves.
How could she rest easy if that man reappeared to disturb her peaceful life?
Did that bastard turn into a ghost?
No! Impossible, right?
She doubts it. This world was already bizarre. If she could be reborn, then could that guy come back too? And he became a ghost!?
This is possible.
"Or... Was that guy also reborn like me? No. No, it can’t be, right!? If he was still alive, he would have come to me..." Rose was shocked to hear her own words.
Instantly she awoke from her sleep and sat up straight, staring at her empty office. Rose is alone, but for some reason, she feels a chill, like someone in the room staring at her.
"Did he come back as a ghost? In spirit form?" Rose was quietly talking to herself while her gaze was trying to find something she couldn’t see. Her heart raced in fear that something might appear around the corner.
But nothing happened.
After a while, she felt like she had lost her mind. How could she think like that? In this world, there are no ghosts. It’s a complete superstition and, more likely, a fairy tale. She has to believe it is unreal.
Still, her curiosity won over her mind. If it’s true that Dustin in ghost form is in this room, she wants to talk to him.
"Dustin, if you’re here, please show yourself. Let’s talk!" Rose softly said as she waited for something magical to happen. But after a few minutes passed, nothing happened. No sound. Nothing appeared in front of her.
Rose could only laugh at her stupidity, believing in such a supernatural thing. Gosh!
She decided to lie down again on the couch and closed her eyes. She used her light coat to cover herself and tried to rest her eyes. This time she really needs to sleep.
After some time...
Oliver walked into Rose’s room and was surprised to see Rose sleeping on the sofa.
"Is she okay?" Oliver muttered as he walked towards the sofa. "This girl... she looks exhausted. Is she stressed because of the news out there?"
Before Oliver could wake her up, the girl suddenly moved.
Rose woke up only to see Oliver standing not far from her.
"Are you done, Oliver!?" Rose immediately sat down and looked at Oliver, who was also sitting across from her.
"Yeah. I found the perp. The perp was just some random person. I think that guy found Dustin’s phone, and when he saw your picture, he uploaded it immediately. Maybe he’s just an idiot who thought posting your picture would make him famous..." explained Oliver.
He had found the man’s location. It just so happened that that person was at the border of the capital city and the Eastern city — the distance only one hour from their office.
"Can you send me his location?"
"Of course. One moment, let me send you all the information about the perp..." Oliver took his cell phone and sent the person’s picture and live location to Rose.
He had planted the GPS Virus in the man’s cell phone. So, even if he moves places, he will still be found as long as his cell phone is active.
Rose didn’t take long to hear a ’ding’ sound from her phone. She immediately checked the messages. Later, a faint smile appeared on her face. She stood up from her seat.
"Thank you, Oliver. I have to go now... See you later." Rose grabs her bag. She will deal with this bastard.
She wanted to confirm that her theory was nonsense — strange theory if this man is the reincarnation of Dustin. She needs to meet the perp face to face, in person.
"Rose Spencer, wait! Do you want to see him? Are you crazy?" Oliver panicked. He stood up and followed Rose and grabbed her hand to stop her.
"Oliver! Why did you stop me?" Rose was stopped. She gave Oliver a displeased look.
"Rose, don’t do that. Let me send someone to fetch that person..." How could he let this woman go meet this random person? What if this man is an evil person?
"Oliver listens. I’m not stupid. Of course, I’ll not go alone, but with Sam. You know, he’s my bodyguard, right!?" Rose chuckled as she removed her hand from Oliver’s grip. "Anyway, thanks for your help. I want to see this man in person. I promise you that I will not do anything that could harm me." She smiles.
Rose could feel that Oliver was only worried about her. And she is very grateful for that.
Oliver could only take a deep sigh. He patted her shoulder, "All right. But you have to be careful..." He couldn’t stop her. And this girl is right — Sam could definitely protect her.
Chapter 469: Meet Someone
Soon, Rose and Sam were in a car heading east.
But Sam is still confused why Rose suddenly wants to go to a residential area east of the capital!?
After several months of being her bodyguard, this was the first time he had escorted her to this area.
The truth is, he was reluctant to go because a moment ago, he received information that Boss Evan’s plane would soon be landing. He remembers the big Boss warned him to stay in the office. But now the lady boss insists on going somewhere.
He is in a dilemma. Who should be obeyed?
Several times Sam asked her to postpone their departure, but she insisted on leaving immediately.
Sam had no other choice but to follow her.
After a few minutes of driving, Sam finally asked her why she wanted to go to that remote area.
"Boss, please explain what we are going to do there?"
Sam was worried about the incident a few months ago when they were ambushed by the White Skull Gang.
If this trip was dangerous, at least he was prepared. Especially now, many people know Lady Boss’ face and status as Evan Collins’ wife. This will quickly add a potential new enemy — the women out there who have been chasing Evan Collin must be jealous of her.
Rose couldn’t hide from Sam. She had to tell him, so this man knew what he had to do with that person.
"Sam, listen, we’re going to meet the person who uploaded my close-up photo on the internet. I know his location and want to ask why he uploaded my picture. Who asked him to do that?"
Sam was surprised to hear that.
But he tried to warn her, "Boss, shouldn’t we wait for boss Evan to arrive? If I’m not mistaken, he should arrive in about 30 minutes. So..."
"No. We have to go now. And don’t tell Evan we’re going to this place. He doesn’t need to know what we are doing now. It’s a small matter, anyway. He doesn’t need to interfere..."
Rose didn’t want Evan to worry. And she didn’t want to depend on Evan forever, either. She wanted to be strong and be able to protect herself. And, she was sure she could do it. What else, Sam with her!? She will be fine.
Sam didn’t say anything else because he knew he couldn’t change Lady Boss’ plan.
After a few minutes passed.
Rose suddenly remembered something. She quickly took out her cell phone and typed a text message.
[Rose:] Oscar, please turn off your phone now. You can activate it in the next two hours.
She knew Oscar was a hacker, and if Evan didn’t find her in the office, she was sure Evan would definitely ask Oscar to trace her. She only needed 2 hours to complete this matter.
After a few minutes, she finally received a text from Oscar.
[Oscar:] Lady Boss? Why are you suddenly asking me to turn off my phone? (Confused Icon)
Rose could only laugh bitterly. Indeed, this man would definitely be confused. Her request is a bit odd. However, she had no choice but to send such a message — try her luck to make Oscar follow her wish.
[Rose:] Can you do what I ask!? Please, consider this as payment for your failure to protect me! (Smile Icon)
The corners of her lips lifted slightly into a winning smile. Yes, this is it! That poor guy must feel bad, right!? This is her last card to ask him.
But, if Oscar still refuses, she will tell him that she already knows his secret identity as a hacker. The man must have been scared to hear that. She was pretty sure about that.
After staring at her phone for a few more minutes, the text message she had been waiting for arrived.
[Oscars:] Okay. (Peace icon)
Rose smiled. She quietly turned her gaze outside.
This place seemed to be imprinted in her mind. Nearly a decade she had lived in this area in her previous life. Memories of this place were still fresh in her mind, and it felt strange to be back here again.
Rose could feel her heart ache a little. This area reminded her of her miserable life being the wife of that bastard Dustin.
Strange, why does the man who uploaded the photo live in this area? Is it just a coincidence? Or is that guy really the reincarnation of Dustin? And he came back to get revenge on her because she chose Evan?
She could feel her hands cold, worried about what she thought was right.
Sigh!
Whatever it is, she will deal with it. She couldn’t let Dustin take away her happiness. In this life, the only person she loved was Evan Collins.
The closer to the man’s location, the more convinced Rose was that the man who uploaded the photo had something to do with Dustin.
Her heart was pounding as their car drew closer to the Game Center, where the man was.
Before long their car stopped right in front of the Game Center, the GPS location where the man was.
"Boss, you can’t go in alone. I have to accompany you." Sam didn’t want to risk anything. "This time, I won’t let you refuse my guard, Boss!! This is a must!" Sam continued after he saw Rose staring at him without saying anything.
"Oh my gosh!!! Relax, Sam, of course, you have to come in with me." She smiled.
Even though she could kill people with her martial arts skill or her firearm in her bag, she would never use those options. She’s in a public space, and some people will recognize her.
"Boss put on your mask before getting out of the car," Sam warns her. "And your sunglasses too."
"Sam!! I know... I know." Rose said while making sure her face was covered. She also uses a hat to hide her hair.
"Let’s go! The guy will leave if we’re late, Sam!" She said impatiently.
Chapter 470: Confrontation
That afternoon the Game Center looked deserted. There was only a middle-aged man sitting behind the front counter. Rose and Sam entered without attracting anyone’s attention.
The Game Center looks spacious with dim lights. Dozens of computers are neatly arranged with a barrier that separates one user from another for privacy.
Rose feels grateful because the GPS virus that Oliver gave her is very accurate. They were able to find the man quickly. Now, the two of them stood in front of the door of the VIP room.
"Should we go in now, boss?" Sam glanced at Rose beside him before opening the door.
"Hmm, Let’s go!" Rose’s hands clenched tightly. For some reason, she was tense about meeting this man. Is that man really Dustin, who was reborn using someone else’s body?
She would find out immediately after confronting him.
Sam opened the door quickly. After Rose entered the room, he slammed the door.
The loud ’bang’ sound made the skinny man jump from his seat. He was surprised to see two people enter his VIP room.
"W-Who are you!?" The skinny man asked in confusion. He didn’t order any food, and these two people didn’t look like Game Center staff. He felt wary.
Sam didn’t say a word. He just stood beside Rose, who was now observing the man from head to toe.
Rose was trying to find evidence that this man was Dustin Mosses, who was reborn in this man’s body.
"You don’t need to know who we are..." Rose said.
She wanted to test if this man recognized her voice. If there was Dustin’s soul in this skinny man’s body, he would definitely recognize her even though she was now wearing sunglasses and a mask.
However, after a few seconds, there is no indication that the man is surprised.
"So why did you guys enter this room? This VIP room isn’t a place you can enter as you please! Go out!!" Annoyed, he shooed them away.
Rose was speechless.
Sam saw his Lady Boss asking permission to smack this thin man in the mouth. How dare he yell at them? This stupid skinny man is courting death!
When Sam wanted to send this skinny man to his coffin, Rose was sure this man wasn’t Dustin.
For now, Rose was relieved, but at the same time, she felt foolish for thinking that way — Dustin was reborn, just like her. What a silly thought!
The only thing that makes sense is Oliver’s theory; This man wants to be famous by uploading her personal picture.
But still, she wanted to know the truth. Her intuition told her this man was related to the person who had attacked Evan.
She glanced at Sam and motioned for him to begin interrogating this man.
As if he knew what Rose wanted, Sam stepped closer to the skinny man who now glared at them. He grabbed his head and slammed his face on the table, "Who asked you to upload that photo?"
Sam didn’t bother asking why he uploaded that picture. He asked who told him to because he knew this man was just a henchman.
Rose felt goosebumps when she heard how scary Sam’s voice was now. She glanced at him and was surprised to see his face turn dark like a black cloud hanging on his head.
"W-what p-picture?" The skinny man haltingly asked.
Sam grabbed his hair and forced him to see Rose’s photo on his cell phone. Instantly the skinny man’s eyes widened in shock.
He suddenly felt chills. How could someone know its location after he had erased all traces behind it? And these people found him so fast. Who are these people!?
"Shit!! I’m dead!!" This skinny man cursed in his mind and slowly felt his body thorn. The big man that was gripping him was so strong. He felt pressured until he felt hard to breathe.
He tried to meet this big guy’s eyes, but the big guy pressed his face hard to kiss the table. Damn it!!! He could only curse this big man in his heart a hundred times.
"I-I... d-don’t know... what you are talking... about!" The skinny man said with obvious pain in his words.
"Oh, wrong answer, you fucking liar!" Sam now grips his shoulder, causing the man to howl loudly.
Even though the music was playing from the speakers in the room and overpowering the man’s screams, Rose was still worried that the skinny man’s screams would attract other people. She immediately patted Sam on the back and motioned for him to take this poor man outside.
They needed a quiet and hidden place to interrogate this man.
Sam nodded and forced the man to stand. He brought his head closer and whispered to the skinny man, "Take a leisurely walk, or you can bid farewell to your life. I can kill you with one move..."
The skinny man gasped. He could feel that this big man was so strong, and his voice sounded like he meant what he said. He could only follow the big man, or his life would be forfeited entirely.
"Don’t you dare say anything, or I will kill you without you knowing it!" Sam whispered near his ear again. The skinny man felt that his soul had betrayed him. They left him alone in this big guy’s grip.
"Don’t worry, I won’t kill you if you cooperate with us. However, if you don’t do that, your life will be lost, and your family’s life as well. Do you understand?"
The skinny man nodded quickly.
Sam placed his hand on the man’s shoulder as they walked out of the VIP room. Rose didn’t forget to take all the skinny man gadgets on the table. She put them in her backpack.
Luckily the Game Center that afternoon wasn’t too crowded, and all the players seemed engrossed in their activities. No one cared about them. That relieved Rose a bit.
She didn’t want to attract the attention of others. She wanted to finish this quickly and leave this place.
They casually walked to the entrance. But before they passed the cashier area, the middle-aged man stopped them.
