Ch. 231..235: Reclaiming My Broken Luna Chapter 231-235

Chapter 231: Which Decision?

Andros's POV

All eyes turned on me in surprise when I suddenly stood up and volunteered to challenge Andros.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught Andros glancing at me, his gaze piercing and intense, a mix of curiosity and irritation.

As the room fell into charged silence, I didn't shift my focus from Alpha Theron. I stared at him with unwavering determination, willing him to see my resolve.

"Alpha," I began, my voice steady, "Let me handle the mission. As a previous member of the Silvermoon Pack, I am already familiar with the people. I can give them the support that they need."

Andros stepped forward, his expression shifting to one of fierce determination. "This mission is critical, and it requires someone with my experience. You may know the people, but I have the skills to lead us through this safely. You can't underestimate the dangers we face." The tension in the room thickened as his words echoed in the silence. For some reason, Andros is really determined to take on this mission. I could see the weight of the argument, but I refused to back down.

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the room's gaze. "Andros, as the previous Luna of the Silvermoon Pack, I have the necessary experience for this mission. I understand the dynamics, the challenges, and the trust that needs to be built.

Your skills are undeniable, but this isn't just about strength or strategy; it's about connection. I can bridge the gap between our Packs," I faced Andros, directing my words to him.

"You are forgetting what this mission requires, Astrid. We need someone who can train the Silvermoon Pack's Warriors. Of course, they needed someone strong, someone they could respect in terms of strength," Andros replied with a smirk, his confidence radiating. I couldn't help but smile at his words, knowing he had already lost the argument. I squared my shoulders, my voice steady and clear. "I used to be the leader of the Silvermoon Pack's Warriors. I was their strongest warrior," I paused, letting my words sink in. Then I turned to face Alpha Theron once again. "I understand the weight of this mission, and I am prepared to shoulder that responsibility. Please trust me to handle this mission. I know the Silvermoon Pack inside and out, and I'm the best leader that their warriors could have."

Andros opened his mouth, about to argue once again, but Alpha Theron cut him off. "Enough," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "Astrid, your experience and understanding of the Silvermoon Pack are undeniable. I choose you for this mission.

A wave of relief washed over me when I heard his decision. Still, I maintained my composure, knowing the challenges ahead.

Andros stood frozen, disbelief etched across his face. He couldn't comprehend that his father would choose me over him. The room was silent, the weight of the moment heavy in the air.

"Father, I was also trained for this. You know I need this opportunity to apply my training and to prove myself," he finally sputtered.

Alpha Theron's gaze remained steady. "Don't take this personally, Andros. As you have said, this mission is critical, and it concerns the safety of Packs. We had to choose the best option we have."

The tension crackled as Andros struggled to process his father's words, his mind racing. I could see the conflict within him, the struggle between pride and the harsh reality of the situation.

It's the first time I've seen him acting differently from himself. He is turning his father's decision into something more personal.

Alpha Theron cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention once more. "Tomorrow, I will set a meeting with all the other Alphas to inform them of our discussions today. I'll explain to them the direction that we are taking."

He turned to me, his tone firm yet reassuring. will speak to Alpha Killian personally about this matter I'll tell him that you will be staying in his Pack to help strengthen his military defenses in preparation for a possible rogue attack."

Alpha Theron stared at me intently as if trying to see through me, to see if I was really sure about this. I nodded my head, agreeing to all his words, assuring him.

The room buzzed with a mix of excitement and apprehension. Some of their eyes were still on me, probably wondering what I was feeling or thinking of right now.

Everyone is aware of my history. Everyone knows that I used to be Killian's ex-wife and that there is bad blood between us, but seeing the pure determination in my eyes, all doubts they had about me were cleared.

"It's good if we can discuss these

matters with Alpha Killian early. Hopefully I can come with him on his return to his Pack. The earlier we make Qur preparations, the better," I added to clear whatever worries t Alpha Theron had in his mind.

Although I know that if he didn't trust me, he wouldn't have agreed to let me stay in the Silvermoon Pack.

"Prepare yourselves, everyone," Alpha Theron concluded as he faced us all. "We have a lot of work ahead, and I expect nothing less than full commitment from each of you."

I felt the weight of responsibility settle on my shoulders as the thought of going back to Silvermoon Pack with the pretense of helping them entered my mind.

"For the others, continue on your mission and inform us immediately when you suspect unusual activities. Meeting dismissed," Alpha Theron thundered. Everyone stood up from their seat and started to leave one by one.

When I was about to take my leave,

Alpha Theron suddenly held me back. "Astrid, I know you are already sure about this, but just in case you change your mind along the way, don't hesitate to tell me. I can always think of a plan to help you."

My body tensed when I heard his words. I'm not sure whether he is talking about my decision to volunteer or my plans to get my revenge.

Chapter 232: Strength in Unity

Astrid's POV

The grand hall was alive with tension as all Alphas and Lunas from different Packs were gathered together, their murmurs filling the air like a restless tide.

At the front, Alpha Theron commanded the room with his imposing presence. His gaze swept over the gathered leaders, silencing any lingering whispers.

To his right sat his son, Andros, arms crossed and jaw set, a storm brewing behind his eyes.

On his left was his daughter, Asha, poised and composed, her expression a blend of determination and caution.

Aside from the three of us, Asha and the invited guests had no idea what this sudden meeting was about. After the breakfast was served, everyone was just surprised when Alpha Theron called them to come for an urgent meeting. As Alpha Theron began to share everything we had discussed the night before, the atmosphere in the grand hall shifted dramatically.

The tension that had gripped the leaders transformed into a mix of surprise and contemplation.

Gasps echoed through the crowd as he explained the rogue's mysterious plans and activities, detailing the impending threats and the need for us to unite together and help each other out to win against the rogues.

Expressions changed from curiosity to concern, and murmurs of disbelief rippled through the assembly.

Some Lunas exchanged worried glances at each other while the Alphas leaned forward, their brows furrowed in thought and determination to protect their Packs.

The gravity of the situation settled over the room like a heavy cloak, and I could see the wheels turning in their minds as they processed the implications of what was at stake.

Alpha Theron's words successfully resonated, igniting a sense of urgency among the gathered leaders. The realization that we were on the brink of a significant challenge brought a newfound determination to the faces around me.

The rogues had always been a thorn in our sides, causing trouble but never to the extent that warranted full-scale worry. They had stolen, harassed, and attacked travelers like common bandits but had never dared to threaten our packs directly. However, now they were uniting, forming larger groups with sinister plans.

The recent attack on the Emberwood Pack served as a grim testament to this new threat, and the implications weighed heavily on everyone present.

"What should we do then? What can we do to help in defeating these rogues?" an Alpha spoke up, his voice steady but filled with urgency. His eyes shone with determination, eager to contribute to the fight against this growing menace.

The question hung in the air, resonating with the collective resolve of the assembly. Each leader was ready to step up, and I could sense the momentum building as they sought solutions.

Alpha Theron took a deep breath, the weight of the moment evident in his posture. "Right now, we believe that the Ironfang Pack and the Darkwood Pack are in danger. They are at high risk for the rogue's coordinated attack."

A murmur of concern rippled through the hall as the implications of his words sank in.

The Ironfang Pack's Alpha, a burly figure with a commanding presence, clenched his fists as he processed Alpha Theron's words.

His jaw tightened, and a fire ignited in his eyes. "We won't be caught off guard," he declared. "Our warriors are ready to defend our territory. We will not let these rogues threaten our Pack."

Beside him, the Luna of the Ironfang Pack nodded in agreement, her expression fierce.

She glanced at her Alpha and added, "We'll strengthen our borders and prepare our defenses. We will communicate with the other Packs near us to ensure everyone is on alert."

"The rogues are not someone to be underestimated. If what Alpha Theron says about the rogues is correct, then the rogues won't attack unless they have guaranteed victory," The Alpha of the Darkwood Pack, who is known for his cunning strategies. "Alpha Theron, I know you wouldn't call us here unless you already have a plan. What do you want us to do?" Drystan suddenly stood up, taking the spotlight.

His voice rang with authority, drawing all eyes to him before shifting to Alpha Theron, everyone eager for direction.

"Right now, we need to strengthen

our military defenses," Alpha Theron began, his voice steady and commanding. “We've thought this through Carefully. The Ironfang Pack and the Silvermoon Pack are close to each other, and the Silvermoon Pack has a wealth of warriors who need to be managed effectively. We must ensure their military is trained well enough to defend both packs."

A wave of murmurs swept through the hall as the implications of his plan sunk in.

Drystan nodded, clearly approving of the strategy. We'll need to coordinate joint training sessions," he said, glancing at the Ironfang and Silvermoon leaders. "Combining their forces will not only enhance their defenses but also build

camaraderie between their packs."

Alpha Theron's gaze swept across the room, meeting the eyes of each leader. "Exactly. We must work together to fortify our positions and prepare for what's to come. Unity is our greatest strength in the face of this threat."

"Alpha Theron, you made a wise

decision. Sending Andros to support the Silvermoon Pack and train the warriors is a strategic move. His

experience and strength will be net

invaluable, especially in preparing the Packs for the possible rogue attacks," Drystan spoke genuinely, he had no idea that Alpha Theron chose me, not his son.

"You took a wrong guess, Drystan. I had decided to send Astrid to Silvermoon Pack to do the task instead. I hope you still think that I made a wise decision," Alpha Theron corrected him.

Drystan froze. He turned around to look at us with a stunned expression on his face. When his eyes met mine, I turned away, unable to meet his gaze

Chapter 233: Military Leader

Astrid's POV

The room was thick with an awkward silence as everyone processed the unexpected revelation.

Whispers of disbelief rippled through the assembly, eyes darting between Alpha Theron, Drystan, and me. The tension was palpable, a mix of surprise and concern hanging heavily in the air.

I could feel the intensity of Drytsan's scrutiny, his disbelief almost tangible. Before the ceremony, he already made his feelings clear to me.

He is not comfortable about me going back to the Silvermoon Pack and being anywhere near my ex-husband and his new wife, whom he had replaced me with.

Drystan knows more than anyone how much I had suffered because of them, and yet I'll be sent back there again with the task of helping them.

I knew Drystan wouldn't like this, I should have talked to him about this beforehand, but cowardice got the best of me.

Drystan is worried about my safety and well-being. Yet I remained focused on the task at hand, not letting his reaction sway my resolve.

Around us, the other leaders exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions reflecting with concern. They all knew the history. Although I'd be there to help, it still doesn't sit right with them—that the ex-wife would live in the same room as her ex-husband and her ex- husband's new wife.

I couldn't help but steal a glance at Killian and Giselle as I wondered their reaction.

Killian's face was set in disbelief, his brow furrowed, probably processing and contemplating the implications of my presence in their Pack.

Giselle, beside him, wore an expression of shock mixed with concern, her protective instincts flaring.

It's clear that they are both worrying about the complexities of this arrangement.

Suddenly, Asha spoke up, her voice cutting through the tension in the room. "Father, why did you choose Astrid for this role instead of Andros? This should be his job. He's trained for this, and he has the experience to lead the warriors."

Her question hung in the air as she felt that her father's decisions were unfair. In the past, Alpha Theron always chose Andros to handle all difficult and important tasks. She was surprised that the task was given to me this time.

I could already tell what she was thinking yet again. She thinks that I'm stealing everything from her and her brother, just like what she always says.

"Asha, your brother is already in charge of a lot of tasks," Alpha Theron replied, his tone calm yet firm. "That's why I chose to let Astrid handle this. She can focus solely on the Silvermoon Pack without the additional burden that Andros already carries." Asha's expression softened slightly, but her concern remained. "I just want to ensure that we're making the best decision for everyone involved. The stakes are high, and I don't want anyone to underestimate the challenges ahead."

I was surprised at Asha's immediate surrender, which was not like her at all. Asha is a stubborn person who always insists on what she wants. She wouldn't back down, even if it meant angering and going against her own father. Is this because there is a crowd watching us, which is why she didn't dare to disrespect her father?

Alpha Theron nodded, acknowledging her worry. "I understand your concerns, but I have faith in Astrid's abilities. She is more than capable of leading this mission."

Alpha Theron turned his attention to

Alpha Killian

his expression serious.

"Killian, do you have any problem

with the arrangement? I want to ensure that you would be comfortable with Astrid coming to the Silvermoon Pack to lead the training."

All eyes turned on Killian as they waited for his answer. Killian paused, visibly weighing his thoughts. The room held its breath, the tension palpable as everyone awaited his response. Before Killian could respond, Giselle spoke up, her voice steady but resolute. "I have to disagree with this arrangement, Alpha Theron. I don't think there's a need to explain why."

"As a Luna, how could you be so selfish?!" The Alpha of the Ironfang Pack snapped, his face flushed with anger. "How could you prioritize your personal affairs first before your people? This concerns the safety of

innocent people! are

uniting, and if we don't act decisively, lives could be Post."

Giselle opened her mouth to respond, but the Alpha's words left her little room for interruption.

"We need to prioritize the greater good here. Every moment we waste questioning decisions is another moment we leave our packs vulnerable," The Alpha of the Darkwood Pack spoke up as he glanced a strong gaze across Giselle.

"I appreciate your concern, Alpha

Theron," Killian finally spoke up,

directing his words to the Alpha who

was talking to him. "I trust your judgment. If you believe Astrid can help strengthen our warriors, then I'll support her presence in the Pack."

Giselle's anger simmered just beneath the surface, but she held herself back, refusing to let her frustration spill over in front of the public. She couldn't believe that her husband would agree so easily.

Even I was also caught off guard. I thought I would hear protests from him first, but he willingly supported my presence in his Pack.

Alpha Theron broke the silence, his voice steady and authoritative. "I'm glad to see that everyone took a practical approach in this situation."

He turned to Killian, his expression earnest. "I need you to promise me that you will take care of Astrid while she stays with you in the Silvermoon Pack. If you fail to protect her, I'm sure you are aware of the consequences of that."

Killian nodded, a serious look in his eyes as he disregarded his threats. "You have my word, Alpha Theron. I will ensure that she is safe and supported during this time."

Alpha Theron glanced at me after Killian spoke his sincere words. We looked at each other, our eyes silently communicating words and understanding that from now on, I wouldn't have to handle things alone.

Chapter 234: A Monster

Andros's POV

As I stared intently at Giselle, I couldn't help but notice the tension etched in her features.

It was clear that she was struggling with her emotions. I could recognize the anger and resentment simmering just beneath her surface.

Her narrowed eyes and tight jaw spoke volumes about her feelings towards Astrid.

A flicker of satisfaction ran through me. I wasn't alone in my feelings; I could see that Giselle shared my disdain, matching the hatred I harbored towards Astrid.

I shifted slightly in my seat, feeling the weight of the moment. It was evident that she did not approve of Astrid living with them in their Pack.

Her disapproval is more than just being protective; it's rooted in a deep-seated dislike that resembles exactly what I feel towards Astrid.

I understand what Giselle is going through right now. And right now, what she needs is help. I believe I could give her exactly the help that she needs.

My father suddenly spoke up, breaking the tension in the room. "Great, now that is settled, Astrid will travel with you back to the Silvermoon Pack. The earlier we start the training, the better prepared we will be for the challenges ahead." My father's words hung in the air, a decisive move that shifted the focus back to action.

Alpha Killian nodded, his expression resolute. "We'll make the necessary arrangements for her arrival. The warriors need to be ready, and I'll ensure that we prioritize their training."

Giselle's face turned even more ugly as she turned more upset by her husband's response. No one took notice of her except for me.

My father's gaze swept one last time across the crowd before concluding the meeting. "Everyone is dismissed. Let's focus on our preparations and ensure our Packs are ready for what lies ahead."

As the leaders began to rise from their seats, I sat and waited. I glanced at Astrid and Father, who retreated to the corner. I know the Father is worried about Astrid; he must be giving her reminders to take care of herself.

I could see how the father yearns for intimacy with his daughter. However, Astrid stood in the distance, still treating his own father like he was an Alpha and she was just his subordinate.

Meanwhile, Asha held an unreadable expression on her face as she left. Even as she hurried to leave the room, I could still read through her.

She's in a hurry to leave because she's afraid that she won't be able to hold back her emotions and accidentally burst out on her father.

I have told her to be smart. The more she makes mistakes, the more she will be estranged from her father. I'm glad to see that she took my advice very well.

"Father, excuse me. I'll continue with my tasks," I excused myself to Father respectfully before leaving.

My father just nodded his head, letting me leave. He is busy discussing things with Astrid.

Instead of taking my usual path to the Packhouse, which is nearest to my destination. I took a different turn instead and passed through the Pack's courtyard, where all the guests invited were staying.

As I was taking a stroll through the quiet pathways of the grounds, I spotted Giselle - heaving angrily in a secluded area, her fists clenched at her sides. She paced back and forth her brows furrowed, and lips pressed into a thin line.

The tension radiating from her is like the heat from a fire. It was evident that the earlier discussions still weighed heavily on her mind.

"Luna Giselle?" I called out, my voice steady as if I was just someone who happened to pass by and accidentally saw her.

Giselle froze up when she heard my voice. She instantly straightened herself, but it didn't hide the anger simmering on her surface.

"Is everything all right?" I asked worriedly as I took a step closer to her.

Giselle looked at me with wide eyes, clearly not expecting to see me here. I could tell she recognized me immediately.

"Yes, everything is all right. I'm so

sorry. Did startle you?" Her brows pressed together, revealing a hint of concern as she stared at me, but I noticed the tension still lingering in her posture.

I took a breath, sensing this was my chance. "You don't seem fine," I said gently, keeping my tone inviting.

Her expression shifted, a flicker of vulnerability breaking through her guarded facade. "Well, you know the history of Astrid and me."

"I could see you must be feeling so frustrated right now. I could imagine the worries you are having now," I replied in understanding. "I also felt the same way when Astrid came into our lives. I was frustrated to find out that I actually have a half-sister."

Giselle's eyes widened slightly, surprised by my admission.

"Until now, I still hated her presence. Just like you, I just want her gone." I paused, letting my words sink into her. "Ever since she came, she slowly started taking everything away from me." "Y-You know Astrid so well," Giselle spoke carefully.

"Yes, and that's why I don't like her," I answered. "I'm glad that she's leaving our Pack. I just hope once she leaves, she will never come back."

Giselle's jaw tightened, and I knew she also had the same desires as me. Astrid was gone for three years, and now she's back again to ruin her life.

"We both have similar situations. Surely, you also have the same wish as me," I prompted.

A smirk crossed Giselle's face when she now understood that we both felt the same way toward Astrid. "I can't believe that not everyone in her family likes her."

Chapter 235: A Partnership

Andros's POV

A flicker of distaste crossed my features at her casual reference to me as one of Astrid's kin. "She's not my family!" I snapped, fury igniting in my gaze.

Giselle recoiled, surprise painting her face at my sudden outburst. I inhaled deeply, striving to regain my composure after failing to curb my reaction. "I'm not related to a monster," I hissed, diverting my gaze as I attempted to restore my usual demeanor.

Instead of retreating in fear, Giselle offered a playful smile, her eyes sparkling with intrigue. "Sir Andros, what brings you all the way here to see me?" she whispered, gliding closer with an effortless grace.

I met her gaze, and there it was the unmistakable glint of mischief, the spark of a scheme brewing behind those captivating eyes.

Giselle was every bit as cunning and scheming as I had suspected. Of course, It takes someone like her to recognize her own nature, and now, knowing she had seen through me, she showed no hesitation in asking me questions.

"I sensed something was amiss when I saw you here, but I didn't expect you'd come specifically for me to discuss this matter," she said, stepping around to circle me, closing the space between us with a calculated elegance.

"The Pack courtyard and the Packhouse are at two different locations. You didn't need to take this route," she continued, her words a clever trap meant to corner me so I would no longer dare to hide the truth. What do you want, Sir Andros?" I held her gaze and smirked. "You already know what I want. Didn't I tell you already?"

Giselle scoffed, a hint of amusement threading in her voice. "You came here to ask me to do your dirty work, didn't you?"

I fell momentarily speechless at her words. I had thought Giselle would be easy to manipulate, much like Asha, but her cleverness caught me off guard, leaving me grappling for a response.

"You've got it all wrong," I finally managed to say, forcing a calmness into my voice. "I'm actually here to help."

Giselle shook her head in dismay and crossed her arms tightly. "As the future Alpha of the Shadowfang Pack, I expected more from you. I never thought that you could even defeat someone as insignificant as Astrid."

I gritted my teeth as I felt offended by her words. However, I instantly recovered, not letting her meaningless words get through my heart.

I straightened myself and let out a laugh that dripped with disdain. "Insignificant? Do you still think she's insignificant? If only you'd finished your job before her identity was revealed, she wouldn't have turned into a huge problem for us." I leaned in, my tone sharp. "After so many failures, you still repetitively fall on the same mistake. No wonder why Astrid still continues to torment your life."

Giselle's expression shifted at my

words; the playful spark in her eyes

dimmed momentarily, and her

brows furrowed slightly. She uncrossed her arms, taken aback by the intensity of my accusation. A

flicker of irritation crossed her face,

"You!-"

"You should know better than to underestimate Astrid. Now, are you willing to have my help?" I cut her off before she could say a word after she took my words as offense.

"Touche," she replied, her voice steady but laced with a hint of defensiveness. "What kind of help will you offer?" she questioned.

"A help that you won't be able to resist," I muttered smugly as I brought out an old and worn-out book from my coat pocket and showed it to her.

It is the book that I acquired from Beta Alek, the one that he entrusted me to burn. However, after reading its contents, how could I bring myself to burn a valuable book such as this? This book holds all of Astrid's secrets. It's evidence that I can use and that I should not burn it.

Giselle scoffed at the sight of the tattered book in my hand. When she saw it, she just dismissed it with a wave of her hand. She had no idea

that this book held many ideas on

how we can get rid of eason

"Really? That old thing? Do you expect me to believe it holds any real value? It looks like it's been through a war."

I smirked at her response. Hearing her underestimation only fueled my confidence.

"I'm giving this to you since I already

have a copy. After reading it, you would know the answer to my question," I answered her as I carefully handed her the book, afraid that the pages would crumble into little pieces.

Giselle inspected the book in front of me with a mix of curiosity and doubt. "An Almega? An offspring of an Alpha and Omega?" Giselle questioned as she skimmed through the pages. Giselle stilled. She let in a sharp breath when something struck her. "You don't mean?" she breathed out as things dawned on her.

My father announced in the ceremony earlier that Astrid is the child that he had with an omega. "This book contains all we have to know about Astrid. This will help you know how to handle her." "You are giving me this book to let me handle everything for you," Giselle grumbled as she glared at me.

I never liked my hands getting dirty. Besides, it would be too troublesome if I got caught.

I smiled at her. "Astrid would be staying in your Pack. Can you really bear to let her live peacefully in your Pack with your husband?"

Giselle frowned, and her breathing turned ragged at my words.

"We should help each other out, Giselle," I muttered, ending our conversation.
