Ch. 241..245: Reclaiming My Broken Luna Chapter 241-245

Chapter 241: A Chance to Give

Astrid's POV

"How long has this been? How long have you known?" I demanded, feeling a mix of betrayal and confusion. She had known about Drystan's hidden attraction toward me, yet she never mentioned it.

Nova's gaze fell, the weight of my words hanging in the air. "I only found out years ago, before you lost your son."

My eyes widened in shock at her confession. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Drystan trusts me, and that's why he confided in me. I can't betray his trust by telling you his secret," Nova explained, "Besides, wasn't it obvious that he likes you? Drystan had never shown that kind of affection to anyone but you."

I blinked my eyes as her words pierced through the fog in my mind, and I started to see things I had overlooked. I had never considered that Drystan's kindness would stem out of love.

I thought he was concerned about me because I used to be his student. I thought he was kind towards me because he felt guilty and partially responsible for what his nephew had done to me.

"Drystan used to be my teacher, and he's my ex-husband's uncle," I murmured, grappling with this new perspective. "I thought he was just helping me out of pity, out of concern for me as his student. It never crossed my mind that he might be in love with me all this time." If Drystan hadn't confessed his feelings to me, until now, I wouldn't think that he was secretly in love with me.

I thought his feelings for me only blossomed recently because of our frequent interaction. If Nova hadn't told me the truth, I would have never known that Drystan already had feelings for me even while I was still pregnant.

I felt a wave of guilt wash over me for having been so blind to Drystan's affection. How could I have missed the signs? His kindness, his concern - I brushed it all aside, convinced that it stemmed from obligation or pity. The realization stung as I thought how much I had hurt Drystan because of my selfishness. I had been so focused on my own pain and struggles, and I took advantage of his feelings and his kindness.

I thought the only time I had hurt Drystan was when I chose this path of revenge rather than the path he had offered. Little did I know that I'd hurt him many times before without even realizing it.

"Why didn't he tell me? Why didn't you tell me?" I breathed out as I took a step back. "Now I feel like a bad person who took advantage of all of you."

Nova stepped closer, her eyes filled with compassion. "You're not a bad person, Astrid. You never took advantage of anyone. It's Drystan who willingly helped you. He did those things because he wanted to."

"But if I had known," I argued, my voice trembling, "I would have acted more carefully. I never wanted to hurt him, especially when I knew would never be able to return his feelings because I was so focused on revenge."

"Astrid," Nova said, wrapping her arms around me tightly to comfort me. "You were in a difficult situation. You can't blame yourself for this."

I remained silent as I rested my chin on her shoulder, grateful for her warmth. Nova stepped back, gently separating from the hug.

I took a deep breath, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on me. "What should I do, Nova? I caused this. How am I supposed to fix it?"

Nova looked at me with compassion, her eyes steady. "This isn't your fault, Astrid. It's not something you can just fix with a few words or actions."

"But Drystan..." I trailed off as I felt bad about thinking of his feelings. "He loves me, and I feel like I've played with his heart without even knowing."

I took a deep breath, the weight of

my past heavy on my heart. "I used to love someone who never loved me back confessed, my voice

trembling. "Someone who never

appreciated my efforts or event

my

feelings. I know how that felt, and it

hurt deeply."

Nova listened intently, her expression sympathetic. "I felt bad that I made someone feel the same way, too," I added, the guilt pressing down on me.

Nova shook her head gently. "Love isn't something we can control. Who could ever dictate what the heart wants? Drystan's feelings are real, and they're his own. You just need to be honest about how you feel now."

"That's the thing, I don't think I could ever return his feelings," I answered troublingly.

Nova gave me a small smile.

"Drystan cares for you deeply, and he is a good man. Trust me, he is not a man that is difficult to love.

e is a

there is a part of you that feels

something for him, don't be afraid to explore it. Love can be a powerful

force, and it can heal."

I fell silent, reflecting on myself and searching for any part of me that might have feelings for Drystan.

"Don't shut yourself off entirely, Astrid. You deserve happiness, and so does he," Nova said gently.

Her words echoed in my mind, reminding me of the conversation I had with my father earlier. He had pointed out that I was pushing everyone away, and I had told him it was because I felt I didn't deserve them. After a moment of introspection, I finally found my answer.

"Okay," I said, feeling a spark of hope. "I'll talk to him. I'll be honest about everything and see where it leads."

Chapter 242: Nostalgia

Astrid's POV

"All the bags are packed already, Miss Astrid. Are you ready to leave?" Our Pack Omega spoke up, interrupting my conversation with Nova.

I turned to face him with a small smile. "We should leave. The Silvermoon Pack's Alpha and Luna must have left already. We shouldn't delay any longer," I answered him.

He nodded his head and went to the driver's seat to start the car.

I thought I would be traveling with Killian and Giselle, but Alpha Theron made some extra arrangements. He personally took care of my travel plan, making sure that I would be both safe and comfortable in my journey.

I felt a wave of relief wash over me at the thought of not being trapped in a small space with Killian and his family for the whole ride. I'm sure it would be both uncomfortable and awkward for all of us. At least I wouldn't have to face them yet until I arrived. "Nova, I got to leave. Take care of Drystan for me, will you?" I asked her with a small smile.

Nova smiled back, her eyes warm with assurance. "Don't worry. Just focus on your mission, Astrid. You don't have to worry about us as long as I'm here."

"Thanks, Nova, I really appreciate it," I replied, feeling a sense of comfort in her words.

"Even if you didn't say it, I would still take care of everyone," she assured me. "You should go now. The driver is already waiting for you," Nova urged, pushing me away gently.

With one last smile, I turned and headed towards the car. Just as I was about to climb inside, I heard someone shouting my name again.

""Wait! Astrid!"

I stepped back to see who the person was. Turning to see who it was, I spotted Andros staring at me with a smile on his face. My heart lifted when I saw him.

"Andros!" I called out with a mixture of surprise and warmth filling me.

He jogged over with an earnest expression on his face. "I just wanted to wish you good luck on your mission. I know it's a big step."

I smiled upon hearing his words. I didn't expect that he would come here to show me his support. "Thanks! That means a lot."

While Asha treated me with hatred and hostility, Andros welcomed me with open arms and treated me the same way he treated his full-blooded sister.

Because of him, it made it easy for me to bear with Asha's hostility towards me. If it wasn't for him, I would completely feel like an alienated person in this Pack.

He made things much more bearable for me. It was enough for me to see him as my own brother.

"Take care of yourself out there, Astrid. Don't pressure yourself too much, and if you need help, you can always call me. Don't be afraid to return here anytime you want," Andros said, his voice warm and reassuring.

They were born to the same parents,

and they shake the same blood, but

Andros grew up differently from Asha. While Asha was willful and narrow-minded, Andros exuded kindness and maturity. It made me ponder how Alpha Theron kad raised them.

One had been disciplined and trained, shaped into a reliable individual, while the other had been spoiled, left to indulge in her own whims.

The contrast was stark, and it was clear how their upbringings had influenced their personalities.

I guess Asha is lucky that she can be as reckless and willful as she wants because she has her powerful father and dependable brother to always keep her safe and protected.

Meanwhile, I had no one else, so I always had to be careful.

"Oh, and I forgot," Andros spoke up, interrupting my thoughts. "Send us a message as soon as you arrive. Father may not seem like it, but there's nothing that could explain how much he cares about you." I nodded, feeling a warm flutter at his words. "Of course."

Before, I had to be careful because I had no one else to rely on. Now, I have to be careful because there are people who care about me and wouldn't want to see me get hurt.

"You must send us a message of

your safe arrival to ease father's worries," he continued. "You had been separated from us for so many years, Astrid. Now that you are back, we had to let go of you again." Andros's voice turned soft at the

end, revealing raw emotion beneath.

"I will," I answered with a promise, feeling a warmth spread through me. "I'll try my best to send news back to the Pack more often." My heart felt heavy, yet grateful for his words. "Then, I'll hold you to that promise," Andros replied with a gentle smile.

With a final wave, I climbed into the

car. Silence engulfed me during the entire ride, my thoughts swirling as reflected on my conversations with Andros, Nova, and Alpha Theron." Each moment replayed in my mind, words echoing with a mix of warmth and concern.

As the landscape blurred past the window, I couldn't help but wonder about the future. Before I knew it, I had already arrived at the Silvermoon Pack. I had been so occupied by my thoughts that time had flown by quickly. As the car came to a stop, I took a deep breath to compose myself. Stepping out of the car, I looked around, taking in the familiar place that I hadn't seen for years, bringing back different kinds of memories.

I still remember when I rejected Killian and renounced my title as a Luna. I swore to myself that I would never come back here again, but fate had different plans, and I found myself stepping back to this place again.

Chapter 243: Unchanging

Astrid's POV

I stilled when my eyes finally landed on Killian, who was standing at a distance, personally waiting for my arrival.

I don't know how long he had been waiting and how long he had arrived. As the Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack, he had to personally attend to me, especially on the day of my arrival.

I am a member of the Shadowfang Pack, the daughter of the Shadowfang Pack's Alpha. I came here to lend our Pack's support, which made me their honored guest.

That makes me more important than Killian, the Alpha of the Silvermoon Pack himself. If something bad happened to me during my stay here, The Shadowfang Pack would hold them accountable, and the Silvermoon Pack is no match for us. Offending me would be offending the Shadowfang Pack. Just a single complaint from me and their whole Pack would be in danger.

Killian, Giselle, and all the other members of the Pack will have to walk around me on eggshells.

No one could afford to offend the Shadowfang Pack. No one can afford to offend me.

Killian slowly approached me, his eyes never leaving mine. He maintained a civil demeanor, upholding professional behavior in front of me. "How was the journey, Miss Astrid?" He asked smoothly.

I glanced around me casually. "It's been four years since I left. I thought things would look different. I didn't expect that there would be no changes around here."

Killian smiled, and his expression showed a hint of understanding. "You were gone for only four years, not a decade. Time flies fast, and changes happen, but there are always unchanged things you could go back to."

I turned to face him. "I guess so."

I realized then that the Silvermoon Pack had remained unchanged. The same people, the same place I remembered. But the truth settled heavily on my shoulders: I was no longer that same person.

"Miss Astrid, let me show you to your room," Killian said, his tone courteous yet firm. As he spoke, his omegas moved into action, unloading my luggage from the trunk with practiced efficiency.

I silently followed behind Killian, letting him lead the way. I was surprised when Killian did not enter the Packhouse but instead walked past it.

A flicker of confusion crossed my mind; I had assumed I would be staying there.

"Where are we going?" I asked, casting a glance back at the familiar structure, its walls steeped in memories.

Killian turned slightly, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "We have a guest house prepared for you. I thought it would provide you with more privacy."

A guest house? Huh.

I had always known the Packhouse to have enough vacant rooms. When guests stay overnight, I remember how we typically offered them those unoccupied spaces to make use of them.

I thought I would be staying in one of them. I didn't expect that Killian would keep me out of the Packhouse entirely.

Was it because Giselle had advised him, or was it because he didn't trust me?

"You have guests other than me?" I asked, trying to gauge his intentions.

"No, you are our only guest," he replied, his tone steady.

I fell silent as his answer left me with unanswered questions,

After some walking, we finally arrived at the guest house that Killian had mentioned. The house looked decent, and its modern designcontrasted sharply with the older structures that surrounded it.

Vl

Just four years ago, this had been an empty clearing, and now a guest house stood proudly in its place.

The guest house was inviting yet secluded as if designed to keep me at a distance while still offering a sense of comfort. I watched as Killian unlocked the door and

stepped inside, motioning forme to

foflow.

But as soon as I entered, I was hit by a strong scent that filled my lungs-the sharp smell of fresh paint and latex.

It was overwhelming, the pungent odor making my head spin. Instinctively, I stepped back outside, covering my nose and taking a moment to steady myself. "Astrid, what's wrong?" Killian asked, concerned about etching his features when he saw my reaction.

It was the first time he had called me by my name.

"Are you trying to kill me?" I shot at him, surprising him.

Killian blinked, momentarily taken aback by my sharp response. "I'm sorry, the paint was just finished yesterday. I didn't think it would still smell so strong."

"I have an allergy to latex, Killian! I have just arrived, but you already placed my health at risk," I snapped, my frustration boiling over.

"You are allergic to latex?" He asked, surprise evident in his voice.

Seeing his surprised response, I

scoffed. What could I expect from him? We were once married, but until now, he has no idea that I'm allergic to latex. He never really paid any attention to me before. This just shows how I meant nothing to him.

"It's just typical, isn't it?" I shot back, the anger bubbling beneath the surface. "I guess some things never change," I muttered bitterly, reminding him of his earlier words. Killian looked guilty at my response, his mouth opening as if he was about to say something. But just then, he was interrupted.

"Alpha, should we bring the luggage inside?" one of the Pack Omegas asked, stealing Killian's attention.

"There's no need. Bring them to the largest room in the Packhouse," Killian replied, his tone authoritative. "Yes, Alpha," they spoke in unison and began to move.

I turned to follow them, leaving Killian behind as anger coursed through me.

Chapter 244: The Greater Good

Astrid's POV

The air was thick with unspoken words as we gathered around the table to eat our dinner with the clinking of cutlery punctuating the silence.

Killian sat at the head of the table digging in his food, minding his own business while Giselle sat across me, her tension palpable.

Each bite she took seemed laced with irritation. Her jaw were set tight as if she were trying to bite back her fury

The corners of my lips lifted sadistically as I watched the way her hands trembled slightly, betraying the calm facade that she's showing to us.

She's so annoyed and irritated that her anger is showing through her calm exterior.

The sparks in her eyes flickered with resentment and I couldn't help but feel victory in her reaction.

I felt a twisted delight as I saw her struggle to keep herself in check. She's frustrated, but she couldn't do anything about it. I'm in front of her, eating at the same table as her, but she couldn't even voice out her disagreements. I couldn't help but feel thrilled knowing how much my mere presence could affect her this much.

"I'm just curious, why is Astrid joining us for dinner?" Giselle finally broke the silence, her anger had gotten the best of her, failing in keeping her mouth shut. "I mean we could have had her food delivered at the guest house, after all." My eyebrow raised slightly when I heard her words. It seems that Killian forgot to tell her something.

Her words hung in the air, laced with genuine curiosity rather than hostility. Even if Giselle hates me, she will have to be careful around me especially in front of Killian.

Even if Killian loves her and he chose her over me, Killian won't be able to choose the same decision now unless he is fine about facing the Shadowfang Pack's wrath.

Killian leaned back in his chair, a serious expression settling over his face. "Actually, Giselle, Astrid won't be staying in the guest house for the time being," he spoke, his tone steady but careful. Giselle's eyebrows shot up in surprise, her fork pausing mid-air. "Oh? is that so?" she replied, a mix of confusion and irritation flashing across her features. "Where will she be staying then?"

Killian glanced at me briefly before continuing, his voice measured. "She'll be staying in one of the vacant rooms for a while."

Giselle's jaw tightened as she processed Killian's answer. "Well, what's wrong about the guest house?" Giselle spoke in gritted teeth.

I could sense her frustration bubbling just beneath the surface. When I turned to look at Killian, I knew he already anticipated this reaction from her all along.

It seems it is Giselle's idea to keep me out of the Packhouse and she's getting angry because Killian broke the agreement they have with each other.

"It's just a temporary measure," Killian explained quickly. "Astrid would stay there once-"

"-If the Luna doesn't like my presence here then I could leave," I interrupted, my voice sharp. "I'll tell my father that the Silvermoon Pack could handle themselves and no longer needed my help," I stood up abruptly, the sound of my chair

scraping against the flooing in

the charged silence.

Before I could turn to leave, Killian's hand shot out, gripping my arm gently but firmly.

"Wait, Astrid," Killian spoke, his tone urgent. "You know we need you. We need your skills to train our warriors, especially with the rogue threats looming. Your presence is crucial." His expression was earnest, conveying the weight of the situation. Giselle's knuckles turned white as her grip on her cutlery tightened, her eyes glaring daggers at Killian's hand on my arm, unwilling to let me go.

I maintained an emotionless facade, determined to make this difficult for Killian to arouse more of Giselle's jealousy.

"But if I'm not welcome-" I started.

"You are welcome," he interrupted, his tone firm yet softening. "As the Pack's Luna, it is Giselle's concern to protect the pack, and that includes making tough decisions."

Turning to Giselle, he continued, "Can't you keep your personal matters to yourself? Right now, we are facing threats from the rogues. Let's just all stop thinking about the past and focus on the lives of the people."

I fell silent at his words, feeling the weight of his reasoning. "How easy it was for him to say those things. He was the one who tormented me, he was the perpetrator, while I was the one who got hurt. I was the victim who is left to bear the scars that he caused me. For him, moving on might be a choice, but for me, it was a constant reminder, a wound that never fully healed.

"Fine, your words are reasonable enough," I responded coldly, my voice steady despite the turmoil inside. "Tomorrow I will start the training. Tell everyone to get ready. The earlier we start the training, the sooner everyone can be prepared."

With that, I turned on my heel and left the room, the tension still crackling in the air behind me.

As I walked away, I could feel

Killian's gaze on my back, believing I was here to help because I'd forgotten the past. But how could ever forget the son I lost because of them? The ache of that loss was a wound that would never heat. I wouldn't find peace without avenging him.

I wasn't here merely to lend my skills; I was here to set the record straight and reclaim what they owed me. The weight of my purpose hung heavy in my chest, fueling my steps as I moved away from the table, determined to confront the ghosts of the past while forging a path toward justice.

Chapter 245: Warrior Bond

Astrid's POV

"Luna, you are really back," Gamma Jaxon exclaimed, his voice tinged with disbelief as he spotted me approaching. His eyes widened, and I could see the mix of surprise and relief on his face.

Behind him, a group of warriors stood at attention, their expressions a blend of curiosity and respect. Some faces were new to me, while others brought back memories etched with the passage of time. The air was thick with anticipation; my return had clearly stirred something among them.

I felt a flutter of nerves in my stomach. I had feared that they might have forgotten me, that I wouldn't be welcomed back. But as I looked at their faces - some bright with hope, others filled with determination - I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I smiled as I felt the warmth of their anticipation. It ignited a spark of confidence within me. Even though it's been years since I last saw them, there was still that bond between us.

When I left the Pack, I hadn't had the chance to say goodbye to them or give them an explanation. I thought they would hold grudges against me for abandoning them.

Jaxon stepped forward, his posture straightening as he tried to mask his emotions. "Luna, we've missed you," he added, his tone softening. The sincerity in his voice made my heart swell, reminding me of the bonds we had forged in the past.

"I'm no longer your Luna. Stop addressing me with that title, or else the wrong people might hear you, and you will get yourself in trouble," I spoke softly, giving him a gentle reminder.

"You are the Alpha's rightful mate and Luna. No one deserves that title except you," Gamma Jaxon replied, his expression hardening.

Killian and his mother, along with the Pack members, had always held me in disdain for being a weak omega. They all believe that a person like me doesn't deserve to be their Luna. I was too weak to hold that position.

On the other hand, the Pack Warriors don't share the same opinion as them. They all held me in respect because of my fighting skills and the strength I have in combat.

They had always believed that I was rightful and deserving of the Luna position. I thought their opinions had changed since I left.

As a warrior, there's nothing more we value than loyalty, and I had abandoned them without an explanation. I couldn't believe that they still supported me until now.

It was a bitter irony - being both revered and scorned, cherished and resented. The lines of loyalty and affection blurred, leaving me caught in a web of conflicting emotions.

I took a deep breath, steadying myself as I faced the warriors. "It doesn't matter," I replied, my voice firm yet calm. "This is your Alpha's choice, and you must honor his decision.

The air grew still, and I could see the understanding in their eyes. They respected Kilian's authority, even if it complicated our history. "Your loyalty to him is what strengthens this Pack," I continued. "Even if 'm not your Luna anymore, I will never forget the memories we shared together. What matters is the bond that we have with each other."

Gamma Jaxon nodded slowly, though the tension in his expression remained. I could sense the struggle within him- how deeply he cared, yet how bound he was by loyalty to the Alpha. Gamma Jaxon opened his mouth in protest, his eyes searching mine as if he wanted to say something, but before he could utter a word, he pulled himself back as if his thoughts had pushed him to silence.

Then, with a sudden burst of resolve, Gamma Jaxon turned to the assembled warriors. "Let's welcome our old friend back!" he commanded, his voice ringing with authority.

In an instant, the atmosphere

shifted. The warriors shouted in

unison, their voices echoing across the training grounds, a chorus of welcome and respect. They bowed that

their heads, a gesture of honos

filled me with a mix of gratitude and unease.

Under the bright sun, I stood on the high platform of the Silvermoon Pack's training yard as I trained their warriors. Pacing back and forth, K surveyed the warriors below; their expressions were stern and fierce as they waited for my commands.

"Form up! Move to position!" I yelled from the pit of my stomach, and they responded in unison, their movements sharp and precise, a testament to their dedication.

Just as the rhythm of the training reached a fever pitch, I caught sight of Giselle arriving. She strode onto the scene with quiet confidence, her attendant following closely behind, holding a delicate umbrella above her head.

I let out a deep breath as I squinted my eyes to take a careful look at her. The moment I saw her, I knew she was up to no good.

I watched as the warriors' focus faltered slightly, drawn to Giselle's commanding presence. Her gaze swept over the training session, her expression a blend of curiosity and scrutiny as she walked up to the stage and stood beside me. "Is there no chair I could sit in? No cold water that I could drink?" Giselle spoke loftily, her tone demanding special treatment from those of us who were busy training.

"Continue!" I called out to Gamma Jaxon, who stood below the stage, signaling him to take charge of the training. I could see him nod in acknowledgment, his face a mask of professionalism as he rallied the warriors back to their drills. As they resumed their exercises, I turned to Giselle, wondering what kind of trouble she had brought here now.
