Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 591

Lily knew that she would only become greedier fortlie warmth of his einbrace the longer she staved there. Hence, she turned her lead and left without looking back. “I‘m going now!!

As soon as her land touched the door, she was dragged back to his side. “How are you planning to go back in there? You‘re jumping over the wall again?” Although that was not a problem for her, Alexander was still worried about her jumping over the wall. That was a 5–meter tall wall, after all!

“Nope.” Lily smiled. “Someone will open the door for me.” “What?” Leaning over, she kissed him on the corner of his lips and got out of the car quickly. Alexander was rendered speechless. This young lady sure moves quickly. I didn‘t even have the time to react, and now I can only watch her walk toward the door.‘ There was a lamp at the door lighting up the area brightly, but they could also see that the door was locked.

Lily walked over to the door and gestured as though she were about to knock, but she stopped just before her knuckles were about to make contact with the cold metal. Slowly, she turned over and leaned on the door. She glanced around, and there was no one in sight. Her gaze swept past Alexander‘s car parked under the tree, and suddenly shouted, “Come out! Open the door for me!” Alexander did not know how to feel about what Lily did. It was silent, and no one responded to her request.

“I‘m going to count till three. If no one comes and opens the door for me, I won‘t go in anymore! I‘ll even leave this stupid place!” Lily was talking to the air, not feeling awkward at all. Then, she even started to count seriously. “One. Two...”

At that moment, Alexander knew what she was up to. Noah had put in a lot of effort to lock her up here, so he would definitely have his people watch over her even though this place looked entirely secure. It might appear that there was no one else here, but Alexander liimself could clearly observe the scene at the door from where he was, couldn‘t he?

Moreover, Lily‘s move may scem ordinary, but it was useful. At this moment, she was outside

the door. If she were just to leave, Noah‘s efforts would be in vain.

Sure enough, someone frotted from a dark spot before she could count to three, “D–Don‘t leave...”

Lily raised her brow and adjusted her posture. She was still leaning on the door but was now facing the man.

The man was out of breatli after he ran over. He looked helpless as he tried to convince Lily to stay. “Ms. Christian, you can‘t leave!”

“You‘re finally willing to show up?”

The other party probably felt embarrassed. He did not say anything and just

lightly. Unable to hold it in anymore, he asked, “How did you get out here? I... I didn‘t see it!” “What‘s strange about that? I didn‘t see you earlier either, did I?” Her casual response rendered the man speechless.

Knowing that he was at fault, he said nothing more. Lily moved to the side and gave the man space to enter the passcode. While pressing the buttons, he watched Lily carefully to ensure she was not peeking.

Lily found that cautious look of his hilarious. –

There was no need for her to peek. Even if she knew the password now, they could change it the next second, so there was nothing worth looking at for her.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 592

With a beep, the door opened. The man now knew that this lady, who appeared to be gentle, was not easy to deal with. Politely, he said, “Ms. Christian, this way.”

When Lily entered, she made an “OK” sign with her thumb and index finger behind her back. She knew that Alexander could see her.

Seeing that the door was closing again, Alexander shook his head, realizing that he had been smiling the entire time. It was great that she was strong enough to protect herself, but even if she could not do that, he would always protect her.

Lily was right that Noah would show up the next day. He came early, and the doorbell sounded while she was still having breakfast. Not looking up, she continued to eat in an unhurried manner. When Noah entered the door, he saw that she was holding a piece of toast in her hand. “You’re early and even more diligent than I’ve expected,” Noah praised, clapping his hands. However, Lily looked at him like he was an idiot. ‘Diligent? Having breakfast is considered as being diligent to him? What’s he even talking about?”

When his compliment did not get him a response, he rubbed the tip of his nose and said, “I think your memory shouldn’t be that bad. You should remember who I am by now, right?”

Lily put down the half piece of uneaten toast and brushed her hands before she looked up at him and spoke, “I don’t care who you are. I just want to know what you’re up to.”

She would like to avoid wasting food if possible, but the instant food in the refrigerator here was terrible. It had only been two days since she left home, and she was missing Alexander’s home–cooked meals already.

Pursing her lips, she realized she had become picky with her food because his dishes were always delicious.

Lily’s question was within Noah’s expectations. He chuckled and pulled out a chair to sit on the opposite side of her. “Are you interested in joining the Perfumers‘ Society?”

“I thought you came here today to challenge me.”

“That’s on the agenda, but don’t you have a plan for your career path?” After a pause, Noah continued, “I know you rejected Mr. Parker’s invitation back in Westwood and insisted on coming home. I also heard your patriotic remarks, and I must admit that I admire you for that but… don’t you have any plans other than loving the country? For example… joining the Perfumers‘ Society, becoming a member, director, and even the vice president or president one day?”

“Then I’ll be at the peak of my career?” Lily went along with what he said but had no wishes for that at all. Nothing he said made her feel excited.

“Yeah!” Noah nodded in affirmation, thinking that Lily was already attracted by his suggestion.

After returning from Westwood, he got someone to investigate Lily. There was not much information about her, especially her life before she entered university. He knew she was part

of the Lodge family, or rather, a relative of theirs. That was why she did not take after the Lodge surname

Lily‘s life after university was much more interesting She had a boyfriend she had been dating for a couple of years, but they ended things about a year agoIt became a big deal and was even trending several times on Twitter. After a few rounds of arguments, she job hopped to another company in the same industry,

Out of all the information, the craziest thing was that she was engaged to Alexander Russell, the CEO olacauté Group. It was a well–known fact, but they had not hosted an engagement party officially

There were many interesting facts about Lily, Noah would give her that.

On the other hand, her professionalism and ability as a perfumer caught his attention and surprised him the most. He believed such a talent should be working for him.

“I can help you if you‘re interested.”

After tempting her, it was time to throw out the bait. He believed that she would make the right choice.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 593 “What if I’m not interested?”

Noah was taken by surprise. “Are you sure?”

He could understand if Lily wanted to venture overseas. Still, she rejected Wesley‘s invitation and insisted on developing her career domestically.

Since she had chosen to stay in Sapphine, the Perfumers‘ Society would be the most authoritative body in the industry within the country. This bait should be taken without any hesitation by anyone, making Noah wonder, ‘Why is she uninterested? Is she playing hard to get?

“Mr. Richards, that‘s why you went through so much trouble to trick me into coming here? You must‘ve spent a lot. All of this could‘ve been settled with just a phone call.”

At this point, she did not want to beat around the bush anymore. Being direct about the topic could save her a lot of energy.

“Trick?” Noah shook his head, chuckling. “I invited you here sincerely. How could you say that I tricked you? Also, aren‘t you enjoying your stay here? If you could be a part of the Perfumers‘ Society, you‘ll get to stay in Kingsland. Not only that, you‘ll get access to all the raw materials you never would‘ve imagined existed. The society provides great benefits to its members too. I assure you that you‘ll only get more from here than you get in Rebirth.” “Mr. Carter, did you know about my remuneration package in Rebirth? How are you so sure that the society will provide something better than that?” Lily asked indifferently, smiling. Noah paused and came to realize what Lily meant. “Yeah, I know that an ordinary perfumer wouldn‘t get much from Rebirth. Still, as the future wife of La Beauté Group‘s CEO, you wouldn‘t put that much regard on monetary compensation.”

Then, he leaned closer toward Lily, “You inight not care about things like money, but as a professional perfuiner, don‘t you want to get access to top–notch materials? Don‘t you want to use more advanced instruments in conducting your research? We can give you anything La Beauté Group provides, and we can give you the things they can‘t as well!”

He was proud saying that.

Lily was silent for a moment. Noah was right. She could not care less about other things, but the top–notch raw materials were the essence of her career. La Beauté Group‘s financial capabilities and status in the industry could provide her with everything she needed, but that would mean they needed to put in extra effort and resources to cater to her needs.

It was a different case for the Perfumers‘ Society. If she became a member, she would have a solid support system, and they had branches everywhere in the country. They were professionals in the industry, after all.

However, Lily did not accept the invitation.

“It sounds great, but I‘m still not interested.” Shrugging, she said, “If there‘s nothing else, I‘m going to catch up on some sleep. I slept quite late last night.”

Noah was rendered speechless Before he could speak, she added again, “Oh right, I’d like to return to Sapphine by evening today if possible. Thanks for your warm hospitality in the past two days!”

“Lily, you’re going to regret this!” Noah said as he looked at her back. He could not help but. got up to his feet when he heard that she was again rejecting his invitation.

“Perhaps,” Lily said but showed no signs of hesitation on her face. “Not now, though.”

Noah did not expect that things would end in such an ugly manner. He came into the place. confidently, never imagining he would be rejected. He had not considered how he would go. about things should she refuse him.

That was because he had never thought that she would reject his invitation. He was even ready. to watch her cry joyfully, expressing her gratitude for him. This was completely different from what he had imagined!

When Lily disappeared down the hallways, he turned around and exited through the door. After some thought, he stopped walking and stood in the yard, looking around.

Other than the variety of flowers, there was only one tall tree in the middle of the yard, which was lush and green. The walls around the yard were high, similar to that of a prison wall. The door had not been damaged, so he thought that the only possible way that Lily would have gotten out was by climbing over the wall, which was one of the impossible ways

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 594 “For this wall, add...” Noah pointed to the wall, wanting to add an electric fence. However, he felt that it was too much, not to mention that it could not be installed instantly.

Discouraged, he said, “Forget it!” When his gaze landed on the tree, he pondered for a moment. “Get someone to cut this tree down as soon as possible!”

“Mr. Carter?”

This tree had been planted in the yard for many years and finally grew into a tall and lush tree. His subordinate did not understand why Noah wanted the tree cut down.

“Just cut it down! I don‘t like looking at it!” Noah barked.

He was aware that the members of the Lodge family could fight, but he believed there were limits to their abilities. They could not possibly fly in the sky, could they? The only possibility he could think of was that Lily made use of the tree to jump over the wall last night.

In fact, Noah was thinking in the right direction, but he did not know that Alexander had arrived at Kingsland and was near him. With Alexander there, Noah would not be able to ground Lily in the house even if he were to install ten layers of electric fence.

Meanwhile, Lily had gone to take a nap. After all, she made an appointment to sign the contract and get the goods later.

Alexander was not idle either. After making sure that Lily was safe, he decided to settle the matters in Sapphine first.

Since Lily was so capable, he thought he had to work harder to help her remove some of the obstacles on her path.

“Mr. Russell, Mr. Oakley has promised to send Ms. Oakley abroad, and he promised she would not return to the country in a few years. We watched her board the plane before leaving the airport.”

After reporting on the situation, Edward asked, “Should I... get someone to warn Ms. Tanner as well?”

“It‘s fine,” Alexander said coldly, his gaze as cold as glacial.

Although the things Arianna did appear similar to Brittany‘s actions, there was a vast difference. Alexander knew about Brittany‘s infatuation for him over the years. He rejected her many times, but her presence saved him from a lot of trouble and stopped many women from approaching him. Hence, he somewhat allowed her to be.

That was why he believed he was partly responsible for how Brittany turned out. In addition, his family was family friends with the Oakley family, so lie had shown mercy to her. However, it was a different case for Arianna Alexander did not know her well. At most, he knew that such a person existed, but she had taken advantage of Brittany and even wanted to sleep with him. He felt that this woman was too cuming and the methods she used to achieve lier goals were despicable.

Giving her a warning would be going too easy on her. She must be taught a lesson!

“Has Joseph‘s illegitimate son returned to the family?” he asked. Edward nodded. “Joseph was in a hurry to bring him back. Recently, Derrick hasn‘t been feeling well, and the family needs more workforce to manage the new projects. I‘m guessing that Joseph wants to use this chance to get his illegitimate son involved and see how things go from there.”

“That‘s good. A family should be together.” Alexander commented while he supported his chin with his hand.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 595

Over the past few days, Arianna did not have the time to watch Lily’s every move because there was a bigger problem at home.

No matter how unwilling or repelled she felt, Joseph brought his illegitimate son home and acknowledged him as part of the Tanner family. She was a step too slow.

After only glancing at him, Arianna went to look for her uncle, Derrick. She understood that her mother could not stop this from happening anymore. If there were anyone who could stop her lunatic father, it would be Derrick.

“Uncle Derrick, I heard you haven’t been feeling well recently. I got someone to bring these nutritious supplements back from overseas for you, and I hope you’ll be in better health after taking them.” Smiling, she pointed at the things she brought while appearing obedient.

Derrick nodded and coughed a few times before he spoke. “You’re a thoughtful one. Why didn’t your parents come with you?”

“My mom has been busy with the Women’s Federation, but she always worries about tells me to visit you wherever I’m free. As for my dad…” After a pause, Arianna said reluctantly, “He’s pretty busy too.”

Derrick raised his gaze to look at her, smiling. “He’s busy handling that brother of yours, isn’t he?”

Arianna’s heart almost stopped upon hearing that. She was not surprised by his knowledge of the matter but rather by his attitude toward it. It was not something unusual for Derrick to know about the matter. However, he referred to the boy as Arianna’s brother, so did that mean he accepted the boy into the family?

She pursed her lips while remaining calm. With a smile, she nodded. “Yeah! Uncle Derrick, I didn’t expect you to know about it. I was afraid my dad was too impatient and had forgotten to inform you about it.”

“Indeed, he’s impatient.” Derrick agreed but added, “It’s understandable, though.”

“Thank you for being understanding. I thought you would disapprove of it at first.”

Arianna looked down at her hands, her eyes quickly losing their shine. The gears in her mind were turning as she had to think of a plan should Derrick agree to what her father did.

“Disapprove? This is your father’s private matter. In other words, it’s your family’s matter, so what could I say as an uncle?”

“That’s not it. You’re still my dad’s eldest brother and the head of the entire Tanner family. Not only that, you’re the closest person to me too. Our family only became this successful and highly regarded in Sapphine because of you, Uncle Derrick. That is why we would listen to your opinions, as long as it’s for the family’s good.”

Arianna observed Derrick’s expression. “Including my dad. He’ll listen to your words too.”

“Really?” Derrick chuckled before his gaze landed on Arianna again. While staring into her eyes, he asked, “What do you want me to say then?”

His words made Arianna wave her hands frantically. “No, nothing! I wouldn’t dare to ask you

for anything. It‘s just that I thought you would object to my younger brother being a part of the family. After all, he was born out of wedlock.” “You mean to say that he‘s an illegitimate chill?”

Derrick probably spoke too much since his cough worsened. Hic look oul a tissue, spat his phlegm out, and felt much better.

“That‘s not what I mean, Uncle Derek. Regardless if he‘s an illegitimate son or not, he‘s still my father‘s son and my brother.” Arianna would never admit she was against what her father did. Even if that was her honest thoughts, she had to pretend to be magnanimous, at least before her father and the other Tanners. She had to show the others she was accepting of that boy being a part of the family.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 596 Nodding severely, Derrick agreed, “You‘re right. I thought the same, so I didn‘t stop your father.”

Arianna fell silent. She would liave suspected that Derrick was not being genuine if she were not in the Oakley mansion in front of her uncle, who had watched her grow since childhood.

“You‘re different from me, Uncle Derrick. No matter what my dad does, I must support him because I‘m his daughter. You‘re the head of the Tanner household, so I thought you would disagree with my dad to protect the family‘s reputation.

“The rumors are pretty disturbing too. My so–called brother is relatively young, so what will the company employees and shareholders think if my dad allows him to join the company? Will even more rumors appear? I‘m worried about our family‘s reputation.” Arianna sighed and continued, “I know I shouldn‘t talk too much about these things, but as a family member, I must consider our family‘s reputation. My dad was a little too impatient this time!”

She looked anxious and worried as she spoke. It seemed that she was genuinely concerned about her family‘s affairs. No matter what she said, the initiative was for the entire family‘s good.

“Arianna, you really have grown up. It‘s nice to hear you care so much about the family,” Derrick earnestly spoke as he looked at his niece deeply.

“To be honest, I would have disagreed with your father in the past, but my recent severe illness has made me see a lot further. Indeed, you‘re right. Although your brother is illegitimate, he shares the same blood as you and the Oakleys. As for the rumors, just let it be. Our family works together, and that‘s the most important thing. Don‘t you agree?” Arianna almost became angry after Derrick used her words against her. She took a few deep breaths and answered, “Yes, you‘re right, Uncle Derrick.” “Well, I know you‘re an excellent young lady. You‘ll understand someday.” Derrick smiled lightly and coughed again. This time, his face flushed. “Look, I‘ve been in poor health, but you don‘t need to stay for dinner. Go home and send my regards to your parents. Also, try to get along with your brother. I know you‘ll be a good sister to him and take good care of him too.” “Yes, don‘t worry, Uncle Derrick.” Arianna forced a smile and stood up. “Then I shall take my leave.”

The only response to her was a burst of coughing.

Arianna suppressed anger as she left the Oakley mansion and glared back coldly. She knew Derrick was getting old and confused. I‘ve been lighting my whole life, and now he‘s asking me to give up and get along with that brat?! That old man is on his deathbed already!‘

She took a tissue and wiped her nose in disgust to wipe off the contaminated air she had just inhaled. Then she threw the tissue away. Since her uncle was not on her side, she had to think of other ways to get what she wanted. In short, the Oakley could only belong to her by any means necessary.

“Mr. Tanner, Arianna left.”

Derrick nodded and picked up the cup on the table to sip his tea. His eyes slowly opened, and a brilliant light shone in them, albeit not as bright as it once was. “Bring me the phone.”

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 597 It was already noon when Lily woke up. She felt a lot more energetic after taking a good rest. After cleaning hersell, she was ready to leave.

She asked Kasey to leave her address last night, but Kasey only gave her phone number. To prevent disappointment, Lily headed out aliead of schedule, While leaving, she dialed the number, and it quickly connected. “lley, where will we meet later? By the way, are the fields ready? I want to check it out.” Lily had already reached the gate when she finished speaking. However, Kasey‘s voice sounded at the other end of the call, but she seemed hesitant in her reply, “I–I‘m sorry, I can‘t sell the grass anymore. I was just bragging and didn‘t have as much of it as I said I did.”

“What?” Lily‘s worst–case scenario had come true. Indeed, high expectations would always lead to disappointments. However, she felt things were not as straightforward as Kasey said after noticing her hesitance.

Lily said affirmatively, “Are you not satisfied with the price? We can discuss that. I guarantee that my payment will satisfy you as long as the quality of your goods meets my expectations.”

Kasey replied, “No, it‘s not about the price. I genuinely don‘t have much stock left.”

Lily turned to look at the gate, arms akimbo. The door was closed tightly. Not only that but the trees in the garden were gone.

It was pretty noisy when she slept. She saw Noah ordering someone to cut down the tree from the window. Since the tree belonged to him, he could do whatever he wanted. Did he think he could trap her without this tree?

It was just that the empty garden did not even have a place for shade, and it was even more irritating to listen to Kasey‘s annoying words. “Well, it doesn‘t matter if there aren‘t that many. Tell me where you found it or how many you got. I‘ll take as many as there are. If not, can you recommend someone who can grow them for me?”

“Then...” After some hesitation, Kasey continued, “I only have a phone number. Only he has it.

“Okay, give me the number. You don‘t have to worry about the rest.”

After hanging up the phone, Lily waited for the message to come and dialed the number. The phone rang for a long time, but no one answered. She could not figure out if the number were fake or if the person ignored her call on purpose.

Since she wanted to talk about business, she had to be patient enough. It was not until the third call that someone finally answered the phone. The person sounded lazy, “Who‘s calling?

“Hello, Kasey gave me your number. I wanted to ask if you have any brassica?”

Kasey mentioned that the grass Lily wanted was called brassica. Lily was unsure if that was the actual name or if she was just ignorant because she never saw it before. “Yeah,” the lazy voice continued, “What‘s up?”

“Let‘s get straight to the point. I want to buy it. Would it be convenient to meet and discuss the price?” “I‘m okay, but I don‘t know if it would be convenient for you?”

When Lily heard the voice, it seemed strange and a little familiar. Most importantly, for unknown reasons, she always felt that the voice was strangely close to her cars.

“I have no inconveniences, but I hope that when I see you, I can also see the brassica.” She was unsure if the other party was the real seller, but she would not miss the opportunity to get what she wanted

“That‘s no problem. I‘m just afraid you can‘t afford my asking price.” “We can negotiate that and discuss it in person.” Lily did not intend to go around in circles with him. “Let‘s make an appointment. How about this afternoon?”

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 598

“Why so impatient?”

The other party smiled and said, “Since you’re so impatient, let’s not wait for the afternoon. Why not… now?”

“Now?”

She froze for a while, then saw the door open with a “click.” Standing at the door was Noah, who had just left in the morning. He was still holding the phone in his hand and shook it at her casually, with a face that could not hide his smugness.

That explains why the voice was so familiar. She did not expect it to be him again! It appears. he was the other girl’s uncle, who was there last night. Does this mean he took the initiative. and bought all the Water Hyssops the previous night?

It made sense why he claimed that if Lily joined the society, she would have access to various rare materials simply by following his orders.

Was that a proper threat?

“I knew that you’d take the initiative to find me,” Noah walked in with a grin and raised his foot. He continued, “Have you thought about it? What do you think? Are you going to change your mind?”

Lily did not directly refuse. She folded her arms around her chest and stared at him, “Why me

“What?”

“Like you said, the Perfumers‘ Society is tough to enter. Every year, there are a lot of people who want to grab a seat. Why bother wasting your time with an unknown person like me? I’m flattered.”

“An unknown person?” Noah shook his head. “You’re the first person who refused an invitation from Mr. Parker.”

“Just because I rejected Mr. Parker?”

“Not just that.” Noah gently rubbed his nose with his fingers, saying, “You still beat me.”

She did not know that the competition was just a mission sent by the company to test her. It was also an opportunity for her and Noah for both to prove their ability.

In Noah’s whole family, he was a rebel. He did not want anything to do with politics and business. Instead, he wanted to make perfume. His mother was also a stubborn and conservative old–fashioned thinker. She did not like her masculine son to do something so feminine and to tinker with perfume all day long.

In the competition in Westwood, Noah made a bet with his mother. He originally planned to return with a first–place trophy to win her approval. Obviously, he did not expect to lose the competition to Lily.

Lily did not know that since then, Noah had kept her name in his heart.

After listening to his words, she felt speechless. Lily thought to herself, “What kind of reason was that?”

Just because she beat him? That was why he insisted on dragging her into the society? Maybe he just appreciated her talent. Was the competition purposely to challenge her?

“I‘ve said that only in the association can you get all kinds of spices you could never imagine. With that, you can make greater achievements in the industry.”

He was full of confidence, as if everything was within his expectations, and Lily had to agree with him in the end. “Do you think that without those rare spices, I couldn‘t produce top–notch perfumes and won‘t be able to make good fragrances?” Lily looked at him and asked. Noah nodded, “Of course!” It was not just him. It should be known to every perfumer. Although the perfumer‘s talent was critical, the raw materials were also important. Without high–quality materials, how could one make top–notch perfumes? “Okay, wait a sec!” Nodding at him, Lily suddenly turned and walked towards the corner of the yard.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 599

Raising his eyebrows, Noah watched her pick up some raw materials. She finished plucking, gave him a sidelong glance, and headed for the shed.

The shed had the equipment ready, but it was not complete. It was obviously meant to make things difficult. Not that it affected Lily one way or another. She ignored him and continued working on perfecting the formula.

For the past two days, she had done nothing at this place. It would be wasteful not to use the many premade items she already had. Those included refined essential oils. She only needed to combine the ingredients and get everything else ready; soon enough, a fragrance would develop.

Noah followed her everywhere and watched her intently regardless of what she did. He said nothing and just stood there watching.

Lily did not bother with the measuring tool and instead poured everything into a bowl and stirred it all together by eye. As soon as Noah saw that, he had to shout out an excited “Hey!” He started to speak again, but Lily glared at him. She said nothing, but it was clear from the look on her face that she wanted him to shut up.

Nevermind. Let’s just see what she could come up with.

After a while, there was a tinkling sound, and a light fragrant smell soon hit the air.

Noah fancied himself a leader in the field of perfumery. Despite his youth and his name not being as well known as some of the other top perfumers, he was confident that he would one day become a pioneer in the industry. Even more ambitiously, he imagined that he would accomplish great things. However, he started to doubt himself.

After all, Lily was so relaxed and casual in front of him. He had never seen a perfumer make perfume as comfortably as drinking afternoon tea. She was so engrossed in what she was doing that it made him feel more at ease.

Time unknowingly passed, and Lily suddenly said, “Okay!

When Noah came to his senses, he rechecked the time and saw that over three hours had passed.

“Give it a try.” She placed a small bottle in front of him, and her face was full of confidence. Although he already had an expectation, he still took it. He dropped some of the scent on a test. strip using a pipette and gave it a careful whiff.

It had a very peculiar smell. Naturally, there was a grassy note and a floral sweetness. It made him think of the morning dew on flowers. It had a fantastic, one–of–a–kind flavor that was pure and natural.

“I don’t seem to have seen this perfume in the market yet. Is this your latest product?” Noah asked, tilting his head.

“To be exact, it’s today’s new product,” she corrected his statement with a serious tone.

“Today?” He watched her make it step by step, but even so, he was stunned, “I don’t believe it!

Before she could speak, he continued, “Of course! You did make it in front of me, but you should have thought about this recipe before and done it before, right?”

“It’s up to you if you believe it.” Shrugging her shoulders, Lily did not care about that. “Back to what we discussed, it’s not about a new or old fragrance, but whether the most common. raw materials can be used to make the same excellent perfume.”

He had seen all the raw materials she used with his eyes, and nothing was precious or rare.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 600

Noah, a professional perfumer, had to admit that the quality of this perfume was exquisite. He may look calm on the surface, but he was shocked.

Since first entering the perfume industry, he had experimented with numerous scents and studied the work of many renowned perfumers. He had never met a perfumer like her, one who could produce such sophisticated scents from such humble materials.

With this new information, his perspective on perfumes shifted drastically. Everyone he knew, including his instructors and himself, believed that one needed high–quality ingredients to make a good perfume. It was the same way that genealogical research has shown that only exceptional individuals can produce exceptional offspring. However, he had his view of the art of perfumery radically altered.

“Okay, why don’t we talk about the price of the Water Hyssop?” Lily was not interested in a meaningless competition like this. However, there was something she wanted, and she could not just let go, “Since you don’t need any expensive ingredients and these Water Hyssop were not of high quality according to your words, why waste your time and money on them just to upset me?”

At first, Noah was just trying to make things difficult for her, but now he was genuinely interested in these herbs.

He studied her closely, his face filled with interest, “If they’re not as important as you claimed, then why do you need them? According to you, they’re not the finest spices, so why must you buy them?”

Honestly, Noah could not care less about these Water Hyssops. If it were not for her showing an interest in them and willing to buy all of them, he would not have taken the effort, especially seeing her so eager to get her hands on them. She was even willing to show him how she was going to use them in her perfume, this made him even more reluctant to sell them to her.

Knowing a person’s preferences was like knowing their weakness! As long as he knew what her preferences were, it would be much easier to set out his terms and conditions.

“That’s for me to know and for you to find out,” Lily remarked coldly, “What I want with it has nothing to do with you.”

“Since you refuse to tell me, then I’ll have to stay here and find out for myself. Maybe these Water Hyssops could actually be some rare herbs or spices,” He concluded just to mess with her.

Noah was so confident that she would give in to his requests or even beg him eventually, but he was dead wrong. He knew nothing about Lily’s character. Although Lily really wanted the herbs and was willing to do anything for them, she still had her principles. If he wanted to use this as a threat to make her give in, sorry, it would not work at all. What Lily hated the most. was to be blackmailed!

She was willing to help or even give in if he had asked her nicely but threatening her was a wrong choice!

She sneered, stood up, and took all her luggage, “Sorry Mr. Richards, you can stay here and Chapserfu research Water Hyssop and its uses. I’m leaving!”

Noah was stunned, this was not the outcome he had expected. He trailed behind her to the entrance and was shocked to see that she was really about to leave.

He immediately ran toward her and grabbed her wrist in a hurry, “You won’t want those herbs. anymore? I thought you really liked them?”

Lily was annoyed that he had grabbed her wrist as she turned around, “Let me go!”

“How could you just leave like this? Your Water Hyssops will be gone! You…” he paused and then continued threateningly, “I’ll burn all of them to ashes!”
