Ch. 891..900

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 891

Behind a massive desk in the Tanner Corporation Building was a near- transparent glass wall-wiped so clean that it looked nearly transparent, allowing light to shine through freely.

He looked beyond the glass and took in the sprawling city landscape, thinking this was the pinnacle of his life and that he deserved to work there.

Nathaniel was holding a wine glass with its red liquid swirling inside. Its color was bright and compelling. He recalled the past few months with a slight smile as if what happened was only a dream.

He thought he could build a career through his own efforts and become somebody that people would look up to, but his company went bankrupt, and he had to dodge his creditors like a complete loser.

Arianna then took him in and brought him into the company. He knew she was just using him and would cut him loose when she obtained her goal, so he had long prepared for his game plan.

Each thought he or she was the mastermind, not knowing they were all Nathaniel’s pawns. Now, everything had ended, and Nathaniel had achieved fame and success. However, Derrick Tanner refused to give Nathaniel his shares, no matter what.

Although Nathaniel had seized the highest position in the company by forging an appointment letter and buying over several small shareholders, he still felt insecure if he could not get his hands on the shares.

It was good that Derick and his wife were in Nathaniel's hands, and he could do whatever he wanted with them.

After a knock on the door, the secretary entered. "Mr. Hall, Mrs. Tanner is..."

As she hesitated, Nathaniel saw Eloise coming into the office and waved his hand. "Leave US, and don't let anyone in without my permission."

"Yes, sir." The secretary left the office.

The door closed, and Eloise fixed her gaze on him. The golden sunlight pouring in from behind Nathaniel enveloped him, turning him into a silhouette, his facial expression too dark for Eloise to see.

‘Perhaps I've never truly seen him the way he is and never understood him,’ Eloise thought.

‘Take a seat." He waved proudly. It was hard not to be smug, and he wanted to be so. He thought he deserved to be proud after successfully manipulating everyone and becoming the ultimate winner.

However, his prideful attitude stung Eloise.

"Now you've gotten what you wanted.” She glanced around at the office. It was so huge that 50 workers could work there without a problem. She had not come to the office often as it belonged to Derrick, but she noticed much had changed here.

"Why? Doesn't it please you?" Nathaniel spread his arms as he chuckled." Do you see how capable your son is? I've not only taken over the entire Tanner Corporation, everything else the Tanner family owns will be mine soon. Aren't you happy for me?"

"You've done that at the cost of harming your sister? Do you know that she’s still in jail?"

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 892

Eloise grew sad thinking about her daughter. After seeing her the last time, Arianna refused to see Eloise again. It had been a while since Eloise last saw her daughter, not knowing if she had suffered in jail.

"My sister?” Nathaniel raised his eyebrows and chuckled. "If I remember correctly, I'm yours and dad's only son. I don't have a sister!”

"Although you have different fathers, I gave birth to both of you. That means she is your sister,” Eloise said.

"She’s not!" Nathaniel roared, "If she's my f*cking sister, how come she grew up wealthy and could have anything she wanted? Why does she have a father and a mother, but I have nothing and must endure mockery that I’m an unwanted bast*rd?

"If she’s my sister, why could she have an easy life and openly call you mom in public while I could only wait for you to contact me first and not even be able to call you mom?

Now you're telling me she is my sister?! Sorry, I don't have one because I've always been f*cking alone!"

Eloise was shocked by his outburst. She never realized he had held so many grudges. "N-Nate, I..."

“All right. If you’re only here to persuade me, say nothing and go home.” He turned around, not wanting to hear her talk about it. Eloise pursed her lips. "Even if you don't treat her as your sister, can you spare her for my sake? She saved you once, at least."

"Save me? She was only trying to use me!" Nathaniel snorted and narrowed his eyes as he gazed at the view outside. "You know your precious daughter is good at scheming. If I hadn’t struck first while she focused on dealing with Damian, I would be the one in jail instead!"

Nathaniel did not exaggerate. He was well aware the police would realize there was more than meets the eye if Damian took all the blame.

Therefore, if the investigation continued, Arianna would make Nathaniel her scapegoat.

“But now that you've won, can't you stop?" Eloise tried to persuade him. "No!" He answered firmly, "Save your breath because I don't want to listen to anything you say. Still, you’re my mom, and I won't forget you just because I've gotten what I want. You'll still be enjoying a life of comfort, and you no longer need to answer to Joseph Tanner."

"Nate..."

"Oh, yes, you have been close with Derrick Tanner and his wife. You must know what they're like, right?" Nathaniel asked, changing the subject.

Eloise was surprised. "Why?"

"Since you're close to them, you should know how to persuade them, right?”

He had tried making threats and luring them with offers, but Derrick did not budge and refused to sign the share transfer agreement. If Eloise was on good terms with them, perhaps she could sway them.

‘What is it you want them to agree to?"

With him holding Derrick and Stephanie, Eloise had guessed the answer, but she wanted to hear it from him.

I’ve got a contract here. Bring it over and get Derrick to sign it. We can discuss the terms whatever they are, but they must sign it!"

Nathaniel rummaged through the drawer and removed something to hand it over. Eloise took it and gave it a look. "It's the share transfer agreement."

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 893

"You haven't gotten the shares yet?" Eloise was shocked.

Eloise did not know much about business and could not understand how her son could become the CEO without getting Derrick’s shares.

‘That old fox is too stubborn, so I need you to persuade him. Now that his son is dead, why should he hold on to the shares? If he wisens up and agrees to the transfer, I'll make him my godfather and take care of him until he dies. He has nothing to lose,” Nathaniel said casually.

‘Take him as your godfather?” Eloise raised her voice and could hardly believe it. "How could you say such a thing just for money and power?"

"Hal" Nathaniel looked at his mother, amused. "If you could abandon me to marry into a wealthy family, what's wrong with me taking him as my godfather? If he agrees to hand me Tanner Corporation, I can even treat him as my real father!"

"Why you..." Eloise almost choked on her breath, not expecting her son to say such things.

"I know you're healthy, so keep your drama to yourself. Even if you're getting sick, get the agreement signed first. Don't look at me that way. Everything I get will be yours, too, so why get upset? You're not still thinking of giving everything to Arianna, are you? Even the Richards family has cut her loose. Don't you get it?"

Eloise took a deep breath to calm herself while holding the agreement.” Where are they?"

"I'll get someone to send you over." He thought about it and curled his lips. "No, I'll send you over personally."

Nathaniel told his secretary he was leaving and brought Eloise downstairs, where an SUV waited with two bodyguard-looking men.

Eloise felt she could no longer recognize her son and asked coldly, ‘Why? You don't trust me?"

‘Well, I wouldn't have survived if I hadn't always been so careful.”

Nathaniel smiled and waved, and someone blindfolded Eloise with a black cloth.

She struggled in vain and scolded, ‘What is this?! Are you worried I'll learn the route and report it to the police?"

Nathaniel simply chuckled. ‘You never know. Under the current situation, I trust no one except myself.”

‘Well, well, I've raised a fine son!" Eloise snarled, but she stopped struggling and sat still. Since she could not see anything and did not want to talk to Nathaniel, she soon fell asleep.

By the time she woke up groggily, the SUV had pulled over. She winced as one of the bodyguards removed the blindfold. Sne slowly opened her eyes, adjusting to the sunlight.

It looked like a two-story building with a garden in a lovely environment. It was so quiet that Eloise thought she was in the middle of nowhere.

Not knowing where she was, Eloise looked about her and realized the house was the only building around. She wondered if they were in the mountains.

"Go." Nathaniel did not get up from his seat. "Say hello to your old friends and persuade them.”

"You're not coming?" Eloise asked with a frown.

"I'll wait for your good news right here." Nathaniel put his hands behind his head and leaned back smilingly. He was trying to pressure Eloise so that she could accomplish the task.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 894

Eloise knew it would be difficult since Derrick and Stephanie were stubborn as a mule and would not budge easily. If even Arianna had failed to obtain the shares despite her various attempts, there was no way Derrick would give them to an outsider.

However, she might as well visit them since she was already there. It had been a long time since she last saw the couple at the hospital, and she could hardly explain how she felt. Eloise walked toward the entrance, gave the door a gentle push, and it swung open.

The air inside smelled of food. Derrick and his wife sat at the dining table and had their meals quietly. As if they had not heard anything, they did not even look up at the sound of someone entering.

“Hi,” Eloise quietly said when she got near them.

Derrick ignored her while his wife looked up. "El, it’s you.”

"Steph." Eloise felt a mix of emotions when Stephanie called her by her nickname.

Although she had spent her whole life scheming and hoping her family could take over the business from Derrick one day, she had not expected everything to end up this way and knew not what to say for a moment.

"Have you had your meal yet? Why don't you join us?" Stephanie got up to set the table.

"No, no need.” Eloise stopped her hurriedly. "How have you two been?"

A look laden with grudges flashed across Derrick's face as he continued to eat. His wife threw him a glance and sighed. "El, we've been sisters-in-law and friends for over 20 years. Do spare US your pleasantries.”

"I'm sorry, Steph," As she spoke, Derrick slammed his spoon on the table, giving her a start.

"What's the point of coming here and saying sorry to US? Don’t you think that's rather hypocritical of you?" He said in a deep voice, his gaze fixed on the dining table and not looking up at her.

"I didn't expect things to end up this way,” Eloise said with tears in her eyes. "I truly had no idea that Nate would..."

"You don't know about your daughter's scheme or that Nathaniel Hall is your precious son? El, you’re something else, aren't you? You're so capable of raising two children like them!" Derrick mocked Eloise with a cold smile, and Eloise felt embarrassed.

The truth was that the siblings had tried to harm each other, and now with Arianna in jail, Nathaniel did not even trust his own mother.

"I know it's too late to say anything and that it's all my fault, but please believe I had no idea. Now that Nate’s a grownup, he doesn't listen to me. He even blindfolded me on my way here to see you guys. There's nothing much I can do," Eloise sighed and said in shame.

The husband and wife exchanged looks. Stephanie got up and seated Eloise. "Did he give you a hard time?"

"What are you saying? That’s her son!” Derrick snorted.

"Yes, you're right. Nate won't be as harsh to me since I'm his mother, but he still guards against me. I honestly had no idea he would do such a thing. At first, I only hoped he could get a job and settle down. Who would have thought that...”

‘Then how's Joseph?” Stephanie asked again.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 895

"He's..."After a pause, Eloise heaved a heavy sigh. "With all that has happened, I guess he’s been generous, not leaving me for the sake of our marriage."

"With him keeping that woman for so many years, could he still hold it against you? Anyway, you two are quite alike in this aspect,” Derrick made fun of Eloise.

Eloise was embarrassed and speechless. She had expected them to be hostile, even though she did not choose to be there.

"All right, enough of your stories. What are you truly here for?" Derrick looked over at her as he spoke impatiently. Since Nathaniel was holding them as hostages, he knew

Eloise had not come just to chat with them.

“I..." She hesitated for a moment, glanced toward the door, and whispered.” You haven't transferred your shares to Nate, have you?”

The couple shared a scornful look.

"So that's why you're here!" Derrick snorted, "Eloise, you've married into the Tanner family for so many years. Have my wife and I

ever mistreated you? How could you help your son to take what belongs to US?!"

"No, that's not what I meant!" Eloise shook her head and hurriedly produced the document that Nathaniel had given her. "Nate asked me to bring this over for you to sign. Of course, I know what you guys are like, and you surely won't sign it, but I have no idea what Nate would do if you don’t. He no longer listens to me."

"Do you think I'm afraid of him? I've dealt with all kinds of situations.Would I bother to worry about a kid?" Scornful, Derrick did not even glance at the agreement.I’m not saying you're afraid of him. It's just that I worry that he... He cares about no one and even got Ari in jail. As you said, you two have always treated me like family. I don't want to see you two suffer. I..."

"If that's the case, take that thing and get out of our sight with your son! If you're sincere to help, then get him to free us."

"I told you he won't listen to me. But Derrick, are you truly trapped here? Is there no other way out?" Eloise's tone became meaningful as she kept throwing glances toward the door in case anyone would barge in.

"What do you mean by that?" Derrick said unhappily with a frown.

"No, I don't mean it in a bad way. I'm just trying to say that Benedict-"

"How dare you mention him again?” Stephanie cut her off and scolded angrily, "Derrick almost died the last time Ari came to talk about him in the hospital. Are you trying to kill US? If that’s the case, do it quickly. Let's see if you can get the shares or not!"

"Steph, it's not my intention to agitate you guys. Since we've reached this point, why don't we lay our cards on the table? I know Derrick’s hospitalization was part of his game plan, and the truth is that while we were scheming against one another, my son got the upper hand.

"Since Derrick faked his illness, he couldn't have been agitated until he needed emergency procedures, and Benedict's death might not be real. If he’s not dead, is he hiding somewhere? Is he part of your game plan, Derrick?"

What Arianna said the other day had reminded Eloise of such a possibility. However, the couple did not give much response to what she said.

Stephanie only fixed her gaze on her husband, worried he might pass out anytime.Clutching his chest with a frown, Derrick did not feel any discomfort besides being upset.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 896

“Please leave.” Derrick said.

"Derrick. I have no ill intentions. No one here wished for things to end up like this. How about this? If you sign the share transfer agreement, I'll get Nate to promise not to rename Tanner

Corporation. That way. the company could retain its name although managed by a different person. With Nate's abilities. he can make Tanner Corporation greater than before.”

"You truly know no shame!” Stephanie was not used to scolding people but uttered it despite herself, her face flushing

"Say no more. We wouldn't sign it even if we were to die!”

"Do you think I won't be able to get the shares if you're dead?” Nathaniel pushed open the door and swaggered in. "You're so naive! Don't you know that even if you don't sign it, you can't change the fact that the company has become mine?"

"Oh, yeah?" Derrick snorted and looked askance at him. "Just wait.”

“Nate...” Not expecting him to come in, Eloise wanted to say something, but he held up a hand to stop her.

Nathaniel went over to pick up the share transfer agreement from the table, gave it a look, and tore it in half.

“Nate!” Eloise gasped.

Tearing up the halves, he tossed the pieces, and they drifted down.

Nathaniel revealed a confident expression. "Do you honestly think I need the agreement on a paper? Times have changed, you old sly fox, and it's time for someone to hunt you down!"

"It's too early to be so cocky, you little brat!" Derrick remained calm and smiled coldly.

"We'll see who will have the last laugh then!" Nathaniel turned to leave and glanced at Eloise as he passed her. "Come on. Haven't you had enough of their mockery?”

Eloise was speechless. She looked over her shoulder at the couple, moved her lips. and went after her son without saying a thing. After getting into the SUV. Nathaniel blindfolded his mother again, but she did not protest this time

Eloise’s mind became clearer since she could see nothing but darkness. She asked coldly. "When did you start planning all this?”

Nathaniel’s hands stopped, and his lips curled. "When your precious daughter put me in that shabby little house, I thought I'd make a grand comeback so no one would ever take me as a joke again.”

Eloise was stunned. She never expected him to have planned everything so early, yet she knew nothing about it. She even naively thought the two siblings could get along

‘How naive could I have been?! There truly are no genuine feelings and relationships in the world of the rich. Everything is nothing but a lie.’

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 897

"Ms. Christian, we look forward to working with you” The other party put down the pen and picked up the two copies of the contracts, revealing a satisfied smile.

Lily took the contract, carefully looked it over, and extended her hand." Looking forward to working with you too!”

She did not expect the collaboration discussion to go so smoothly as Grandeur readily accepted all of her terms with only slight amendments. In the next quarter, they would launch a co-branded series named "Grandeur de Lily," which would be a win-win model for both parties.

Of course, it was not without precedents. Some famous perfumers had worked with international brands to launch co-branded series, which were very popular among consumers who chose their perfumes based on who the creators were.

As this was Lily's first attempt to explore the international market, it would be challenging to achieve one-shot success through her alone effort.

Therefore, she thought it was an excellent opportunity to collaborate with Grandeur, although she would not compromise if they did not meet her terms.

Grandeur only worked with top perfumers. They would not have offered to collaborate if they were not impressed by Lily's Four Seasons-themed series.

People overseas did not take perfumers from Hyderland seriously, and some even looked down on them. Therefore, if Grandeur offered to collaborate, Lily naturally had the upper hand, and it was not difficult to get them to agree to her terms.

Of course, she knew she must not make unwarranted demands and that the terms she requested had to be reasonable for her long-term goal. After signing the contract, she felt greatly relieved and stretched her arms.

Jenny flicked her finger at the contract and said enviously, "The contract offers great terms. I dare to say that not many perfume makers have received such good offers within our industry."

"Luckily, you helped me go over the contract. I wasn't even aware of some of the subclauses and wordings if you had not brought them up,” Lily said gratefully.

Jenny laughed. "It’s normal that you didn't notice them. Anyone without experience or professional training couldn't tell these contractual clauses apart as a team of lawyers wrote them. If I hadn't signed many contracts before, I wouldn’t know what was wrong with them either.”

Lily nodded. She initially thought Alexander did not have to get Jenny to go with her, but now she had to admit it was a thoughtful idea.

Firstly, Jenny knew much about these things and could help Lily scan the contract and consult for and with her. Secondly, Lily was familiar with Jenny, so Lily did not have to work with a stranger. Another important reason, of course, was that Jenny was a woman.

La Beauté Group's team of lawyers was all male, and Alexander might worry if a man went over with her. Lily even imagined that he might have flown over to help her with the contract if he had not been busy with a big project.

"With the contract signed, everything should go smoothly now, and you won't need to worry about your studio's long-term development. However, I guess you'll get busy since there will be many orders from Grandeur annually, and they have a high demand for quality.” Jenny cocked her head and looked at Lily as she continued, "Aren't you hosting the wedding ceremony soon? Don't you want to take a break first?"

'TH decide later. I haven't thought about it yet." As she moved her neck, she heard someone nearby say, "Looking forward to working with you”

It was common for people to discuss business deals here. What was unusual was that the person's voice was so familiar to Lily that she could not help but look over.

She was stunned by what she saw. The young man got up to bid farewell and shook another person's hand smilingly. Then he saw Lily. The young man reacted quite naturally compared to Lily. He smiled slightly and greeted her, “Lily, what a coincidence!”

Lily was speechless. Since he knew her name, she did not wrongly identify the young man.

"How are you...” Lily was so shocked that she hardly knew what to say.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 898

"How am I still alive?" The young man widened his smile and now locked much more mature than the unruly youth he used to be.

He dressed up like a businessperson with a white slim-fit shirt, hair combed neatly, and a briefcase in his hand. If he had not called Lily by her name, she could never be sure of who he was.

"Don't say that." Lily frowned. Although the young man was referring to himself, she did not feel comfortable hearing it. "It's just that I've not seen you for a long time."

Jenny looked on curiously as Lily interacted with the handsome young man sitting at the nearby table.

"I've been occupied with something.” He nodded with a slight smile. "Why don't we grab a coffee since we've run into each other? My treat.”

Since it was unusual for Lily to bump into him, she nodded since she had completed her tasks here. "Sure."

"You're..." Jenny hesitated whether or not to interrupt their conversation.

"He's a friend of mine.” Lily smiled. "Jen, would you like to join US for coffee or go back to rest?”

Jenny thought about it and said, "I'll go shopping since we leave soon. It's been two days, and I have yet to shop around.”

"Okay, text me if there's any emergency." Lily got up.

The duo went to a café, ordered two cups of coffee and some desserts, and sat down to enjoy a rare moment of peace. Lily stirred her coffee and looked at the young man with mixed emotions.

She remembered the first time she met him. Still acting like a boy, he was blunt and had a strong character, but now the person sitting before her was no longer a youth but a man.

Like a gentleman, he meticulously put a slice of cake on a plate and placed it before her.

After some hesitation, Lily asked, 'Where have you been before this?”

Benedict looked up at her and smiled. “Are you trying to ask me how I rose from the dead?"

Lily shook her head. "I never believed that you were dead. Although I heard about it, I always felt it wasn't true."

"Oh?" Benedict raised his brow and asked curiously, ‘Why is that?”

Could she have sensed that he was still alive?

"If a hermit like me could have heard about your death, I'm sure the news was so huge that everyone was talking about it. Your parents must have suffered a great deal learning

about it, but it was strange that they hadn't held a funeral for you after so long.

"Besides, there had been no concrete proof. No one found a body, no video evidence, and no stories about how it happened. The news was so simple that I wondered if it was meant to hide something."

lf Benedict had hopes that Lily had been sad over his death, he no longer did now. She was too cool-headed for that.

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 899

After listening to Lily for a while, Benedict shook his head and sighed, "I thought many would have felt saddened by the news of my death. I guess I don't have such an influence over people, do I?"

Lily knew he was teasing her, but she did not laugh-instead, she asked seriously, "Is it part of your game plan?"

Benedict's gaze wavered as he looked at her. "What?"

"If you don't want to talk about it, it's okay. Everyone has secrets, so I guess you must do what you need to do." Lily did not like to pry into others' affairs, so she did not mind if he did not want to talk about it.

Benedict smiled. "It's not that I don't want to talk about it, but it's not the time yet. Anyway, I never thought I'd bump into you here. Are you here on vacation?"

"No, I came here to discuss a collaboration deal," Lily answered frankly.

Benedict raised his eyebrows and threw her a surprised look. "You used to busy yourself with conducting experiments and creating perfumes in the lab, and now you're discussing collaboration deals? Woah, is it really you?"

Lily heard his praise and could not help but smile.

Benedict was right that she was so much different than before. All she wanted to do was create perfumes while others handled the business deals. She had grown so much over the past two years, thanks to that as* hole, Nathaniel.

However, she was most grateful to Alexander for all the help he had given her. He always gave her timely help yet never interfered with what she wanted to do. It was from him that Lily learned that love is giving.

"Hello? Yoo-hoo?" Benedict waved and looked at her knowingly. "Look at you. Such a sweet smile. Must be thinking of your boyfriend, huh?"

“It's not for a child to know, okay?" Lily caught herself. Benedict was no longer an unruly young boy carving wood at the roadside store.

Having grown into a man, he was discussing deals in business attire and no longer held a chisel but a pen. Lily had to admit that although many things remained the same, much had also changed.

"So you no longer make wooden figures?” She felt somewhat sorry for him.

‘Him being alive and discussing business deals here, he would surely inherit Tanner Corporation one day, wouldn't he?’

However...

"Yes, why not?" Benedict answered firmly, "But I can only make them during my spare time. Still, I'm grateful I can still make them."

‘There are losses and wins in life, and we can't get everything we want.

Besides, we all have to bear certain responsibilities.’ Thinking so, Benedict felt grateful for everything that had happened.

"You know what happened to the Tanner family recently, right?" Lily asked tentatively.

Benedict lowered his gaze and looked slightly saddened. "Do excuse US. We must have looked like fools to you.”

‘Since the Tanner family has become the talk of the town, outsiders are likely to assume someone new will head it. With so many power struggles and people getting into jail, they must have become a joke to many people.’

‘This is your family's private affairs, and it's not for me to judge. However, seeing you here and acting so calmly, I'm sure you have a solution, so I don't need to feel worried for you guys.”

‘Thank you for your concern,” Benedict said seriously.

"Why so serious out of a sudden? Oh, do you still remember the pieces of wood you gave me?" Lily thought about a piece of good news and wanted to share it with him.

Benedict nodded. ‘Yes, I do.”

Spoiled by Mr. Russell Chapter 900

"I used one of the pieces as an ingredient to make the essential oil, and the perfumes based on it became very popular." Lily could not help but be proud of her creations.

After some thought, Benedict asked, "Are you talking about the Four Seasons-themed series?"

"You know about them?" Lily was surprised that he had heard about the perfumes.

"Of course" He nodded with a smile. "I smelled the scent when I was with a team of models from Bryxton. I thought its scent was familiar, but I didn’t expect that it had something to do with those pieces of wood.”

‘That's why I should thank you,” Lily chuckled, "Not just that. I've tried cultivating a few other pieces back at my farm, and they have begun germinating. Their shoots have an even more unique scent, and I'm thinking of observing them further.”

‘You have a cultivation farm too!” Seeing her spirited look, Benedict could not help but chuckle along.

‘Yes, I'll bring you to visit it one day!"

Lily remembered that he was still a "deceased” person and paused to look at him. "When will you be able to return to your family?"

"Soon. I should be going back shortly. We can meet again when I do."

"Okay, that's great!” Lily nodded, feeling conflicted. "I truly hope all the trouble will go away soon."

‘They will,” Benedict said without hesitation.

After all, storms always passed, and the sun would shine again to create rainbows.

Benedict got up to say goodbye and remembered something. "Oh, yeah, perhaps we can collaborate one day.”

"What?" Lily was confused.

‘You'll know when the time comes. I think you'll be interested." Benedict smiled when he noticed Lily's puzzled expression, mischievously leaning over. “Say hi to Mr. Russell for me.”

Lily was perplexed. Before she could ask him anything, he had already walked far.

"Why did he say that out of the blue? Is he close with Alex?’

Meanwhile, Nathaniel had been busy with a big project. He was trying to speed up the restructuring of the top management and obtain an amount of investment.

He needed Derrick’s shares to gain control of the company, but as the man refused, he had to resort to another way. Nathaniel smiled as he smugly looked at the document in his hand.

It was not something he had not done before, but he did not think he needed to use it. Now he had to resort to this method as the time had become critical. Since no one could tell it was a forged document, nobody would check its authenticity once the shares got transferred and Nathaniel became the chairman of the board of directors.

With this document and the personal and company seals he took from Derrick, everything was ready, and he could soon enjoy the fruits of his labor.
