Chapter 76 The Chance To Get Her Revenge

"Did I not make myself clear? I don’t like to repeat my words."

Maurice’s eyes were cold and sharp, but his words made Eliana jump with joy.

Maurice… actually gave in? Eliana couldn’t believe her ears.She pinched herself to make sure that she wasn’t dreaming.

As Maurice stared at her, the cold expression on his face unconsciously softened.

"Tell Corbin to take you to receive the partner."

"Okay!"

Eliana left the CEO’s office happily.

As he watched Eliana leave, a satisfied smile appeared on Maurice’s face.

With Maurice’s order, Corbin took Eliana downstairs to receive the partner.

 

Looking at Eliana’s happy face, he couldn’t help but ask, "Why didn’t you come to Mr.Moran earlier? You could have stopped someone from being stabbed…"

Corbin stopped speaking abruptly when he realized that he had said more than he should have had.

As expected, Eliana looked at him suspiciously.

"How did you know that someone got stabbed for me?"

With a wry smile, Corbin tried to confuse her.

"Didn’t Bradly get injured because he was trying to protect you?"

"Corbin, do you…"

Eliana was about to ask him more questions, but Corbin quickly pointed ahead and said, "The person representing the partner has arrived!"

As such, Eliana had no choice but to look in the direction where he was pointing at.

An enchantingly beautiful woman with exquisite makeup on and flaming red lipstick, approached them while twisting her hips proudly.

Eliana’s heart thumped.

Was that Erica? She tugged at Corbin’s sleeve and asked, "Which company is she is representing?"

"The Harrison Group."

As he found a stunned expression on her face, Corbin asked, "What’s wrong? Do you have a beef with her?"

"Humph."

Eliana scoffed contemptuously and said, "It’s more than just a beef."

It was an unparalleled grudge.

Corbin raised his eyebrows at her in surprise.

After all, he had guessed it right.

He smiled and said, "Then this must be your chance to get your revenge."

"What do you mean?"

Eliana was confused by what he had said.

With a sly smirk on his face, Corbin explained, "The Harrison Group isn’t financially very stable right now.In fact, they’re heavily in debt.The creditors have driven the company into a tough spot and if the company doesn’t manage to sell their pink diamonds and get money… the Harrison Group will go bankrupt in less than a week."

Eliana never thought that she would live to see the day when the prosperous Harrison Group would go bankrupt.It was karmic retribution! Eliana almost burst into laughter.

Erica saw Corbin first and she walked to him with a big smile.

"You must be Mr.Moran’s assistant, Corbin Jenkins.Am I right? It’s nice to meet you.I’m representing the Harrison Group…"

However, before she could finish her words, Erica’s eyes fell on Eliana, who was standing next Corbin.

Her smile disappeared immediately.

"What are you doing here?"

"What a surprise to see you here! I work here at the Moran Group.Aren’t you here for business? This way, please."

Eliana’s confident smile made Erica feel uncomfortable as if she could sense that something was off.

Crossing her arms over her chest, Erica squinted at Eliana arrogantly and said, "Eliana, why are you always lurking around me like a ghost?"

Erica thought that Eliana now had a strong backer, but it turned out that she was just an employee at the Moran Group.

At most, it seemed that she was an assistant of some sort.

Eliana walked ahead and snapped, "If you wish to change your mind, you know where the exit is."

Erica caught up with her angrily and said, "Don’t let your self righteousness damage the reputation of the Moran Group.Besides, is this how a mere assistant welcomes a client into the company? Mr.Jenkins, haven’t you taught her anything?"

When she said the last sentence, her tone softened and she looked pitifully at Corbin as if she was disappointed.

However, Corbin didn’t fall for her trick as he coldly replied, "Eliana is right.Mrs.Harrison, if you are having second thoughts, we shouldn’t waste each other’s time.Mr.Moran is very busy."

Erica was rendered speechless and her face darkened in anger.

After all, Corbin was Maurice’s personal assistant.

Everyone pandered to his every whim because it was said that if anyone wanted to get close to the CEO, they would have to go through him.

Why was he taking Eliana’s side? Erica thought that Eliana must have used some kind of manipulation to get his support.

If she weren’t desperate to sell the pink diamonds, she would have walked away without even glancing at Eliana again.

When the elevator reached the top floor, Erica was still lost in her own thoughts.

"Mrs.Harrison, have you made a decision yet?" asked Eliana with a smile.

She reached out her hand and stopped in front of the button on the first floor.

"I never said that I was going to change my mind!"

Walking out of the elevator quickly, Erica turned around and glared at Eliana.

"Don’t be so arrogant.I’ll make you pay for this later."

"Sure.I am looking forward to it."

Eliana smiled sweetly.

Chapter 78 Bargaining

Clenching her fists, Erica asked, "Unless what?"

She felt her heart sink deeper and deeper as she waited for Eliana’s reply.However, the humiliation that she was expecting to face did not come.

"Unless you lower the price of the pink diamonds by 5%," Eliana said with a sly smile.

Maurice was intrigued by her answer.He did not expect her to be so good at doing business.

Although she was eager to get those pink diamonds, she stayed calm in front of Erica as she bargained with her.

Seeing her handling the situation so calmly, he was surprised.

After hearing Eliana’s request, Erica refused instantly, "No way!"

Even though she could compromise and bow down to Eliana, she could never lower the price of those pink diamonds.

 

What was even the point of her getting humiliated if the Harrison Group failed to pay off the remaining debts? If Asher found out that the reason such a thing happened was because she had offended Eliana, then he would divorce her without any hesitation and kick her out of the house.

Pretending to be surprised, Eliana looked at her and said, "Mrs.Harrison, it looks like you’re not that interested to cooperate with us."

Her voice was laced with a hint of sarcasm.

Gritting her teeth, Erica replied with a forced smile, "I obviously want to cooperate with you.And I sincerely hope that our past grudges will not affect either of the companies."

After carefully considering his advice, Eliana became cold.

"I want the price of the pink diamonds to be reduced by another 10%."

 

"What? Another 10%?" Erica screamed.She was speechless and horrified.

"If you refuse, then we won’t be cooperating with you." Eliana said flatly.

Erica’s mind was a mess as she gasped for breath.

After hesitating for a long time, contemplating what to do, she finally said, "Okay…"

She was in a great need of money as she and the Harrison Group were both in danger.

"Let’s talk about the other terms of the contract, then,"

Eliana said with a smile, signaling Erica to sit down on the sofa.

Erica then began to concentrate better, worried that Eliana might set a trap for her again.

However, to her surprise, the process was quite smooth.

After signing the contract, she arrived at the first floor with a copy of the contract in her hand.She carefully walked out of the elevator and looked towards the entrance of the building.

"Eliana…"

At the same time, in the CEO’s office, Eliana could not help but smile as she repeatedly read the contract over and over again.

Maurice sat down beside her and asked, "Are you really that happy?"

"Yes.Things are going to be so much easier once this problem is solved." Eliana smiled.

With a cold look in his eyes, Maurice glanced at Eliana and said, "But you were too stupid five years ago.How could you let Erica bully you?"

Eliana was obviously excited and happy.
