The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 106

Edwina’s POV…..

I couldn’t stay still; the thoughts of Sonia probably lying to get me off her back made the hair on my skin stand. I hoped so bad she wasn’t playing mind games.

Becca had told me she had already informed Carlos, and he promised to get back to us. Xander didn’t notice my distance much since his mind was preoccupied, just like mine.

The stress was weighing on him too much, and it bothered me. The need to be of good use was stronger than ever.

I have decided to find some other means to expose Ben and his cohorts if Sonia’s Intel turns out to be a lie. I had decided to come to the library and distract myself a bit. For every page I turn, my mind turns its own page multiple times, making my heart race every second that passes.

How long would it take for him to find out if they truly had the marks? Why is he not forthcoming? Was Sonia lying? I held onto my head. At this rate, I might lose my mind and still not have any solution to the matter at hand.

Jolting up like I had been pricked in the butt, I took determined strides towards the door. Ready to go find the said Carlos my own self. I was tired of having to twist and turn my thoughts. As I attempted to touch the door knob, someone had been faster than I was from outside. I was taken aback by it; behind the door was Becca and a fine-looking man whom I presumed to be Carlos. I remember seeing him at the general meeting, but I was too preoccupied to pay him any mind.

“Good day, Luna.” He bowed

“Nice to have you here, Carlos. I know this might seem odd since we are just meeting for the very first time and in this awkward situation. I hope you don’t mind?” I ranted, unsure of what I was meant to say. Sometimes, I wonder if the pack members question how I flop being the Luna.

He and Becca sat down as I beckoned at them to sit. “Not at all, Luna Edwina. I’m always at your service.”

“He said he had some news and I thought it wise to bring him to you instead.” Becca said.

“That was so thoughtful of you, Becca. I was about losing my mind when nothing came forth.”I turned towards Carlos. “Without wasting time too much. Tell me what you have got, Carlos.”

Carlos reached into his breast pocket and brought out a neatly folded piece of paper. Unfolding it, I noticed a drawing of a small crescent in the middle of it.

My eyes widened as I snatched it from his hand. “Is this what I think it is?”

He nodded in affirmation.

“You were right, Luna. There are too many of them than I would have thought in my clan. However, I have called on the representative of the gamma clan to help affirm at his own end if some of their wolves have also derailed from their allegiance to alpha Xander. The moment he gets back to me, I will let you know.”

I shifted excitedly in my seat. My sister had played her part responsibly, after all. I felt proud that she had surpassed all of my doubts.

“The moment you hear from the gamma clan, you would need to let the alpha in on it.” I said

Carlos nodded, “I was just about to seek your permission for it. This has been on the alpha’s mind for weeks, trying to purge out the betrayers before going out to find our enemies. Thank you so much for your help, Luna Edwina. This means a whole lot.”

I was swayed by his appreciation. I am just as indebted to the pack as he is. Being the Luna, I have to protect the pack in any way I can.

Standing up and bowing once again, “I would take my leave now, Luna.” Carlos said. Before I could reply, he turned towards Becca and gave her a squeeze I would consider too affectionate.

The mischievous side of me brought a funny look to my face. “bye, Carlos!” I called out in a high-pitched voice.

Becca stared at me after he left, “if I may, what was that about?”

I shrugged, “someone seems peculiar about you.”

She huffed, rolling her eyes. “You are seeing things, just like Caleb is.”

I stood up, heading towards the space Carlos had stood up from. I pulled at her eagerly, “what do you mean by Caleb and me seeing things. Now, my question is, why is Caleb talking about it?”

“Sometimes, i wonder if you are a child in an adults body. What exactly is getting you this excited?” She whined, sounding frustrated.

I had no intention of letting her off the hook, “just tell me.” I nudged her.

Exhaling, she said, “Caleb thinks Carlos is making a move on me, and I’m also interested in Carlos. Isn’t that crazy? You and I know it’s Caleb my heart beats for.”

I placed a finger under my jaw, trying to think, “how about, it’s Carlos who has his heart beating for you?”

“I am so not doing this with you.” She blurted, standing up hurriedly. “I should leave now.”

I pouted, “you are such a kill joy.”

“I really am not, it’s you who is imagining things.” She grinned

“Humor me.”

“Well, Caleb might be getting married soon.” She announced, a gloomy look replacing her bright face.

I almost coughed out my insides, “what? How? When?”

“I wish I had the answers. He was all over me wailing about his beloved leaving him.”

“You sound pained.” I tried hard to not laugh, but my grin had me off.

“I feel like tossing something at you, unfortunately you are my Luna.” She glared.

Still laughing, I brushed my butt with my hands. “I know you have a whole lot you intend to do to me, but for the sake of me being Luna.” I taunted, still grinning. “Now, if you would indulge this silly goose of a Luna one more time. Can you come with me to visit Sonia?”

She stared for a few seconds, letting out a small smile. “I could try.”

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 107

Authors POV…

Staring into the evening sky, as it went from Golden orange to dark shades of grey, it soothed her mind. It felt safe being here, even though it hadn’t been the best moments. She was paying for her sins; the moon goddess was considerate and had brought a good-hearted sister her way.

Sonia smiled at the thought of Edwina’s pure joy when she had felt her belly the last time she came visiting.

Different thoughts kept her mind awake, thoughts of how it would have been different if she hadn’t grown up thinking she was better than her sister because she had a wolf. She thought of how things would have turned out if she had stood up to her father and protected her younger sister, like every elder sister would do.

It wasn’t a thing of surprise, though. Sonia was an exact version of her father, while Edwina had taken after their dead mother. Her soft-heartedness had been taken for granted by their father. Edwina was barely three days old when their mother died, but till her death, she had protected her little girl from any form of dejection.

Instead of her to have continued with it, she joined hands with her father to make the life of her sister miserable.

The past few days had been her reminiscing on her past actions and how she could rectify them for the sake of her unborn child. Sonia had no idea she could be so protective of anyone, most especially someone you haven’t met yet. It obviously was true that a mother and child’s bond is from the very womb. She can’t imagine her life without the feeling of her unborn child around her. It had kept her strong and resilient despite the deep shit she found herself in. She wants a new and chaos-free life for her child.

Her thoughts got paused when Edwina walked in. Sonia moved away from the balcony towards the room, walking with a gait stride toward her sister. Edwina had her hands stretched out, hugging her tightly.

“Thank you so much, Sonia. Thank you, thank you.” Edwina grinned excitedly as she swirled her sister gently.

Sonia couldn’t push her away because she felt comforted by the hug. “what are you thanking me for?” She asked.

Edwina released her, still holding her hands. “for revealing the identity of Ben’s spies, you helped us greatly.”

“Oh, that? You didn’t believe me at first right?” Sonia queried.

Edwina looked guilty. She found it hard to mask her emotions. “I’m sorry.” She muttered.

Waving her off, Sonia sat down. “You don’t need to be, I understand if you are skeptical. I’m glad I did right.”

The shock was evident on the faces of Edwina and her second hand, Becca. Sonia never apologized for anything.

“Should Athena get you something?” She asked her guests.

The smile on Edwina’s lips kept getting wider, “is this a new era?” She asked, obviously amused.

Sonia chuckled, “I guess I’m tired of being a villian, for the sake of my child. There a whole lot of things I regret doing in my lifetime and one of it being my attitude towards you…”

“You don’t have to….” Edwina tried to say. Sonia held up her hand.

“Please let me finish. It took everything in me to admit this to you, and I want you to please listen. I had no intention of acting differently towards you, you are my sister, Edwina, and whether I like to admit it or not, you are my sister. But I was young and naive. Even before you were born, mother always doted on you, and I wanted to be paid such attention too.

Our father seemed like he would only be able to give me his undivided attention only if I treated you the way he did. Maybe I would have stood up to him if I knew it was all to take advantage of me.”

Tears dropped from her eyes, but she kept on. “Sometimes, I felt irritated that he treated you the way he did. However, I was too selfish and enjoyed how I was being treated to fight for you and stand with you. My heart reached out to you whenever you cried your eyes out then, but my ego would never let me come to you. Now that I am about to be a mother myself, I understand why mum was always so protective of you. I would go against the world also to protect my child. I can’t imagine him or her being treated like an outcast. I have no idea how I intend to go about it, but I know that whether my child has a wolf or not, I would never forsake him or her.”

Sonia sniffed as she held the hands of a crying Edwina. “I’m so sorry, Edwina. Fate messed with us badly, and I take the blame for the part I played in hurting you. I don’t know if you would ever find it in your heart to forgive me. I’m so sorry.” She wailed.

Edwina held onto her sister short of words as Becca wiped a tear from her eyes. The two sisters look so heart-wrenching to watch. Their emotions were all displayed like market wares.

Taking her sister’s hand, Sonia placed it on her belly. “I know this might seem too much to ask. But I want to beg you, Edwina, just in case I don’t make it. Please do not forsake my child. I want you to love my child like you have loved me endlessly. I know I don’t deserve to ask you of this, but I am begging Edwina, please protect and love my child, please.”

Sonia looked helpless. Her fears had been let out in her confession. The fear of what the future would be for her unborn child, all because of her, made her rethink to amending her ways. Her younger sister is the only one she can count on, despite not being on much good terms with one another. She trusts her to take care of her child like her own.

Leaning into the warmth her sister’s hug provided, Sonia knew she had finally done something right for the first time in her entire life.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 108

Alexander POV…

Life was beginning to get the better part of me; I wanted to jerk off so bad, and the tension that built up in me for days made me want to f**k into oblivion.

It’s safe to admit that I do hate being an alpha. Most importantly, I hate how the moon goddess let me get played by my own supposed best friend. His lying, cheating a*s is the reason I was having such a hard time. I promise to make Edwina’s p***y ache all night when I do get home. I don’t give a f**k if the prisoners in training get the hang of it or not. What mattered was me getting my d**k soaked in some creamy p***y juice.

Caleb had just wheeled me in from the ground, where I had gone to inspect the prisoners in training. I wanted to stretch my legs, but I knew better than to take such a chance. If anything, my office wasn’t the right place to show off.

The past days and weeks had me reeling from thoughts that could make one get admitted to a mental house or be confined to house arrest for fear of going crazy.

Every day, I remind myself of the deadline given to us by the sizzlers pack. What bothered me the most was us not getting a heads-up on those who are in cohorts with Ben. It’s almost like the more we try to look for them, the more they run into hiding.

I want to scream and throw my legs out like a little child would do when pissed. It’s a shame that the responsibilities and emotions of adulthood confine you to some particular unnecessary attitudes. When you can just throw caution to the wind and let out the emotions that you feel. I felt brain fagged; my thinking bank was running dry.

To make matters worse, that buffon they call Caleb decided to leave me hanging by getting lovesick. I really would contemplate the idea of tossing him into the far depth of the sea, might as well chain him down to prevent the a*****e from ever getting back up.

I could tell with the help of my wolf that Ramona had messed with him. He wasn’t saying much, all because Ramona had intentionally taken the week off, and he knew nothing about it. Thinking about it now, I can’t help the laughter. It all sounds hilarious. Their game of who would bell the cat amuses me.

I couldn’t have asked for more distraction, and thankful for it when the three musketeers, like my wolf and I love to call them, trooped into the office. They looked like they would burn down the building with their blazing eyes.

“If I didn’t know better, I would think the three of you are trying to gang up against me. What’s with the fierce look?” I stared at Carlos and Jason, knowing Caleb wouldn’t pay me any mind.

“We have got some news, alpha,” Caleb said in his gruff voice. It never works on me, though. But I know for sure whatever they had to tell me was important.

I repositioned myself in the wheelchair, awaiting their report.

“We found Ben’s men.” Jason was the first to speak.

“You found them?” I asked, “how?”

“That is the most amusing part.” Caleb said, taking a seat with the others following suit.

Carlos pushed a piece of paper to me, and I looked through it to find the drawing of a crescent. It looked so familiar.

“What is this?” I questioned.

“That is the mark carried by every night howler that swore allegiance to Ben,” Jason replied

Then it clicked. I remember where I had seen the crescent before. Ben had an obsession with tattoos and got inspired by just about any irrelevant thing. If it interests him, he visits a tattoo parlor and has it drawn on him the next day. The crescent, in particular, had been embedded on his wrist. The calligraphy was quite impressive; it had caught my attention. When I asked him what it meant, he said it was a proof of the moon goddess’s plans for him.

“F**k!” I can’t believe he had been making so many moves right under my nose. He had been a betrayer for a long while. I was just too blinded to have noticed.

“Does that look familiar?” Caleb asked, obviously reading my face.

I nodded, “yes, saw it tattooed on Ben. But the question is, how did you get to find this?” I asked, curiosity nagging my thoughts.

“We have the Luna to thank for that.” Carlos said

“My Luna?” I questioned because the last time I checked, she didn’t tell me anything about involving herself in the search. Thoughts of her being in contact with Ben crossed my mind, but I shook it off. She hadn’t left the palace since her sister came around. The only place she goes to is the guest quarters. Certainly, whatever she helped them with was through the help of Sonia.

“Well, she got intel from only the goddess knows where that; Ben’s men have a crescent scar on the back of their necks. I did some findings, and it turned out to be true; Jason has also admitted to seeing such in his clan. We don’t know about the kappa clan for now. With her approval, we have come to bare it all.” Carlos explained.

“I can’t believe this!” I wiped at my neck. “How much are they?”

“Say about a quarter of our clans put together,” Caleb said.

“Not so bad, after all?” I pushed.

“Wouldn’t go worse if we devise an actual plan on how to make a purge take place without Ben and the sizzlers knowing.” Jason offered.

“That’s a brilliant one, Jason.” I commended. I felt a bit less burdened since we already had a clue. “The prisoners are almost heading towards the end of their training, and I must commend you. You all have done brilliantly well. Thanks for your support. Caleb and I would work out some plans and let you both know.”

Jason and Carlos stood up at the same time, knowing we were done with our meeting. “As you wish, alpha Xander.”

Bowing towards Caleb, they both stepped out. Caleb had his hands on the table, giving me a look, “why do you seem so unaffected?” He asked.

I couldn’t reply much as all I wanted was to dig my d**k deeper into Edwina’s p***y till she couldn’t take it anymore and grind me till I ran out of breath and lost some oxygen. It would be an appreciation gift. My d**k cap tingled at the thought.

“I would like to go home before responding to that.” I responded, grinning widely.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 109

Edwina’s POV…

You know the most awkward situation about emotional moments? They make you short of words, and then you become dumb all of a sudden. I have never felt this form of happiness that filled the pit of my belly since I was born. This is the closest I have ever been with my sister since I have known her.

Sonia poured every of her heart’s content out to me, and I felt blessed. We still held onto each other, each one of us sniffing. I’m sure Becca would have gotten tired of the sight. But I was enjoying the moment, scared it won’t last, and Sonia would return to being the stiff and rude person I had always known her to be. I wasn’t certain yet if she was bipolar.

She let me off, chuckling lightly as she wiped at my wet face. “You look like a mess.”

I imitated her action, “you too.”

We stared at each other again and laughed. This moment will be cherished by me forever. I stayed quiet for a moment, trying really hard to gather my thoughts.

I sat upright, taking back my hands from her. The moment was nice, but my hands were cramped.

“I really appreciate this moment, Sonia. I have craved to be your sister for years and you letting me in now is like a dream come true.”

“Life hasn’t been fair to both of us and I’m sincerely seeking for your forgiveness. I guess the moon goddess is giving us another chance to live life the appropriate way. I don’t care if you have a wolf or not, all that matters is having someone who really loves me and is my sister with me.” She said

My treacherous mind was really trying to figure Sonia out. I wanted to check for any sign of falsehood; probably, she was up to something.

I did get emotional. We were almost at this stage during her trial period, but the moment she heard of my relationship with Xander, we were back to the root. I tried to keep my breath steady. It gets tiring having to go back and forth with her feelings. Pregnancy makes one act differently, according to the books I have read.

Her smile made me push the thoughts aside; our mother would be watching alongside the moon goddess, I’m sure of that.

I had always wished for a day like this to come. I was glad because our family was expanding, aside from the elephant in the room that we would still have to deal with later on. I wanted to enjoy the moment as much as I could.

“One more thing…” Sonia began

My heart raced at this. The thoughts of Sonia asking me for the most absurd thing to do for her crossed my mind. These were the things I was avoiding; I hoped she didn’t lure me here to have me leave Xander alone.

I know I sound petty, but I do overthink things a lot. Being at the receiving end of people’s cold attitudes had taken a huge toll on my thinking ability. I definitely was about to lose my mind if she gave an absurd condition.

“What is that?” I asked, trying to get the chill off my tone.

“I would like to beg Xander sincerely. I know he really hates to see me at this point. But I need to ease myself of my guilt and let everyone I have hurt know how sorry I really am. I want a safe space for my child.” She got teary-eyed again.

I released a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. The most surprising thing was that as much as I enjoyed having s*x with Xander, I still wasn’t attached enough to him yet. My heart still yearned for Ben, and so did my body.

In all aspects, I was treading on the wrong path. But the heart wants what it wants, which is why it’s stupid to do what the heart says most times. Love isn’t blind; it’s the heart that needs some recommended shades.

“You don’t have to worry about that, Sonia. Xander is working towards forgiving you. I would advise you to wait until I talk it out with him. I know he would forgive you eventually, especially for the sake of your unborn baby.”

I assured her, despite knowing seeing her or forgiving Sonia was the last thing Xander wanted to do at the moment. He had only taken in her excesses on having her at the pack house all because I had been adamant about it.

“The alpha would be back soon Luna.” Becca’s voice brought me back to the present.

I stared back at her, “thanks for the reminder, Becca.”

Squeezing Sonia’s hand hurriedly, I stood up. “I promise to come check on you soon, till then please take care of yourself. And if you need anything, do let me know.”

“Can I call you then?” Sonia asked innocently. Her request was totally pure.

“Please do Sonia, I would definitely come running to you.” I assured her.

Hugging her for a few seconds, I bid her goodbye, leaving the room with Becca at my tail.

“You shouldn’t have done that.” I rebuked Becca half-heartedly when we were far from earshot.

She didn’t look remorseful, “you looked like you wanted to be away so bad.”

“Was I that obvious?” I asked, my eyeballs shooting out.

Becca shrugged, “I could just tell, maybe she could too. But I would expect her to understand how you were feeling.”

I exhaled, “it just came as a shock to me. Sonia had never acted so vulnerable in front of me before. I didn’t know if I was dining with the enemy or just got myself a rebirthed friend.”

“You don’t have to feel bad about it, once bitten plenty of times shy.”

I had to laugh at her explanation. Becca is naturally funny without trying too hard.

“I should leave you to rest; you look like you might pass out. Dinner would be ready soon, Luna.” She told me, bowing as she walked away.

I stretched my neck, feeling like it was cramped. Heading toward my room, I hoped that there would be a distraction waiting for me.

The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 110

Alexander’s POV…

When one of the workers had told me that Edwina was at her sister’s, a part of my joyous d**k had deflated. But the moment I stepped back into the room and got a sniff of her scent. I knew for sure no part of me would back down until I screwed the hell out of her.

I hurriedly headed into the shower to take my bath; my legs had been cramped all day, staying in the wheelchair. My eager self had jumped into the tub, relaxing into its soapy content, forgetting to lock the door.

With my eyes closed, I let out a deep breath. I felt a bit relieved that we were getting somewhere regarding the issues of the impending doom that the night howlers pack might have to face.

Different sorts of things were tangled up together, and sometimes it messes so much with my head that I wish I could hide far away. The mind does have a way of its own, just when I thought I had enough on my plate.

Thoughts of Edwina ripped me off them. I didn’t know what I was feeling toward her. Maybe l**t, maybe a little bit of like. However, I’m certain it’s not love, and more sure of the lack of trust I had towards her.

But would that stop me from firing away at her precious p***y? No! I really do not care what the situation of things may be. One thing was sure, I wasn’t going to let anyone take her away from me. It’s an uncertain future, but she definitely is a great asset.

I let out a m**n as I felt something brush through the tip of my d**k, making me have a hard-on. I must be losing my mind to be having such pleasure at the mere thought of her.

The feeling came again, and I had to open my eyes, only to find hair floating atop the bath water. I m****d loudly this time around.

The chortle that escaped my lips came from within. What the hell?

She was sucking all of me underneath the water. Edwina has lost her damn mind, no doubt about it.

“Hey alpha.” She purred, sticking her head out of the water naked.

As much as I was enjoying the moment, my curious mind couldn’t help but ask. “How the hell did you get in here without me knowing?”

Her pupils dilated. I wonder how f*****g wet she would be if we weren’t inside the water. Would have loved to lick every inch of her.

Crawling towards me with her breast brushing past my exposed body, I shivered. To even think I had intended to catch her off guard, but she had outsmarted me.

“You seem like you could do with some relief.” She whispered in my ear, dipping one of her nipples into my mouth.

Not waiting for a second, my palm grabbed onto her a*s while I nibbled and sucked on her nipple. She m****d dry, humping my hard belly.

Without warning, I used my hand to push her down my hardened d**k. Edwina screamed out loud. That must have definitely hit her core.

I expertly spread her butt cheek with my hands to enable my d**k to go further. She gripped my shoulder tightly; I could feel her nail digging into my skin.

Positioning myself well, I held her butt, helping her f**k me. The pleasure was so intense and slippery at the same time. Unintentionally, Edwina’s body shook as she rode me faster. Slamming every one of her insides on my d**k.

“Oww.” I huffed when she took in every length of me. The crazy girl had one hand on my shoulder and used the other to massage my balls while making my d**k dig into her p***y. I let go of her butt, holding onto her waist as the pleasure mounted.

“F**k!” I didn’t realize having s*x in the bath could be this exhilarating.

Almost reaching my peak, I held onto her waist tighter f*****g her insides roughly. I didn’t let go of her, even when her screams came off louder than normal. When we both had our release, the scream Edwina let out was so ear-piercing I felt my eardrums shiver.

I panted heavily as she rested her forehead on mine.

“Try not to sneak up on me next time.” I told her.

She smiled weakly, moving away from me to rest on the other end of the bath, her legs stretched out with her feet rubbing at my d**k lightly.

“Stop playing.” I chuckled, getting her legs off me.

“Should I bath you?” She whispered seductively.

As hard as it was to resist, I had really exhausted myself and couldn’t help going on another crazy romp again. All I wanted was to have a good bath and eat. I was famished.

“I will make it up to you after dinner, please.” I stared at her.

Pouting a little bit, she nodded, giving me a light k**s as she stood up to leave. I slapped her butt cheek in delight.

She gave me a dirty look before stepping out. Edwina amazes me every time.

Dinner looked sumptuous; Becca had a way of outdoing herself when it was time for dinner. I had been curious one time before my accident and asked her why she took delight in making dinner so memorable.

Her response had been that I was hardly ever around to eat breakfast. So, it was essential that dinner covered up for all of the meals I missed during the day.

I stole side glances at Edwina. After the s*x, her face glowed, and I could tell she was really happy.

“I want to thank you, Edwina.” I began, and she raised her head from her plate, giving me a confused look.

“For what?” She asked amidst a full mouth.

“For helping my men out in finding the imposters.”

She smiled shyly, returning her gaze to her food. “I had wanted to tell you about it, but didn’t want to give you a false hope. It was why I had asked for Carlos help.”

“I am surprised you asked Carlos for help and not Caleb.”

“Caleb also seemed like he had so much on his plate. He might not have taken me so serious.”

“How did you become familiar with Carlos?”

“Becca introduced me.”

“Hmmm.” I smacked my lips at that. Now I see why Caleb was hell-bent on not seeing them together. They are getting really closer to each other.

Then I remembered something I had been meaning to ask, “I didn’t get to ask you. How did you come to know about the crescent mark?”

Edwina blinked so hard, her mouth slightly agape like she had been stuck with a stick in her butt.
