Ch. 201..205: The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate Chapter 201-205
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 201
Authors POV…
The phone rang again, making Caleb hiss loudly as he flipped the phone to the bed. He unbuttoned his shirt, sinking his butt deep into the bed and letting out a long breath. His day had been filled with trying to avoid Ramona as much as he could. The moment they left the office, she had resulted into calling him incessantly.
He felt exhausted from having to just see her name appear as the caller. Caleb had tried to reason with her about how he felt for Becca. However, Ramona seemed to not be listening to whatever it was he said. She keeps trying to get his attention.
Sighing deeply, Caleb leaned into the bed. The phone light came on again, indicating an incoming call. Putting the phone in silence still didn’t stop the irritation he was feeling.
He had the urge to scream at Ramona’s stubbornness. There was no way he would let Becca know about her new approach to reaching out to him. Knowing fully well how much it would put a strain on their relationship.
“Are you okay?” Becca’s voice filtered into his thoughts.
She appeared in front of him, drying her wet hair with a small towel. Stretching out his hand, he pulled her onto his chest, inhaling her scent.
“Hmmn, you smell so good, baby.” He mused, kissing her forehead.
Becca giggled, resting her head on his chest. “why are you breathing so hard?” She inquired.
Aside the news of Edwina’s father committing suicide, that had put every one of them in some sort of dull mood. Becca had noticed something else preoccupied Caleb’s mind, as he was a bit distant, which was unusual of him. She had intentionally asked him to sleep over after Edwina had volunteered to watch Star for the night.
Raising her head up, Becca kissed him lightly on the lips. “I would drop this real quick.” She said, standing up.
Caleb shut his eyes tightly, trying to find some sleep. He was almost drifting off when he felt a warm feeling consuming his d**k cap and its entire length.
“Ughhh.” He m****d.
Becca sucked on his d**k delightfully while caressing his balls. Caleb gripped her hair tightly as she gave him a deep throat. The smell of their arousal filled the entire room. Becca’s was so prominent it drove Caleb’s wolf to the edge.
He lifted her up to himself, holding her neck as they shared a deep k**s. Caleb sucked in a manly gasp as he felt her naked skin. The sleep had left his eyes as they were wide awake now.
Flipping Becca on her back, he took off his cloth with a bit of help from her. Moving her to the middle of the bed, he climbed onto it, spreading her legs wide. Her p***y dripped, driving him to the edge. Getting down on her, Caleb licked her clit. Making her m**n in a sexy tone, holding onto both of her thighs, he dipped his tongue into her p***y.
Becca gasped, gripping his head tightly. With an expert move, Caleb dipped two of his fingers into her while working his tongue on her p***y. Becca gripped the sheets tightly as she wiggled in pleasure. Keying into her Gspot. Becca orgasmed with a wild vibration of her entire body.
Caleb watched in fulfilment at her reaction; they had never been able to spend time together due to the condition of Becca’s job. The look in her eyes made his wolf growl in a low tone, holding her weak body up to lean against the bed frame. Caleb got down from the bed and headed towards Becca’s closet to get two long scarves.
Tieing her legs to the bed stand on each side, the entirety of her p***y opened up to him. Dropping with fascinating wetness almost drove Caleb to tears. Kneeling into the bed, Caleb held the bed frame. While holding Becca’s gaze, he thrust into her, both of them moaning out loud at the same time.
Grinding his whole self into her, Becca m****d loudly, gripping Caleb tightly by the shoulders. Both of their wolves howled in satisfaction as he pounded deeper into her. Grunting at every hard thrust, Becca pulled at his waist, letting all of him be buried inside of her.
Raising his weight up a bit, he thrust faster into her. Becca’s voice went on a loud pitch as Caleb burst inside her, reaching his peak.
Before collapsing into the bed, Caleb untied Becca’s legs. She turned mushy, exhausted from the rigorous s*x. It had been a long time since she reached an o****m. Before her husband died, it had seemed like a usual thing. Until he became more absent due to the preparation for war and after which he never did come home.
The whole of Becca’s body felt like she had gone for an intense massage. Caleb exhaled loudly, pulling her into his embrace.
“I love you,” Caleb confessed, kissing her forehead. She stared up at him, holding his gaze. “You really don’t need to say anything. Take your time.”
She shook her head, smiling, “I have been in love with you since forever, Caleb, and I always would. I love you too.”
Caleb expressed a boyish grin, “I knew you would say that. Just wanted to hear you say it.”
Beating on his chest lightly, “let’s go freshen up. I want to get a glass of juice. Care for some?”
“Water is just fine.” He responded.
“There should be bottled water in the fridge. I just need to make fresh juice for myself.”
Smiling at her, “okay, baby.”
Becca stepped out of the room, heading towards the kitchen in hurried steps. She didn’t stop until she got inside the kitchen, leaning on the kitchen island and gripping the edge tightly.
Her clit tingled at the memory of her reaching o****m after what seemed like ages. Goosebumps came alive on her arms. It felt like a very long time since she had last felt young and liberated. Caleb made her feel more alive and happy. There was a need for Becca to have a moment to herself, which was why she used getting a glass of juice as an excuse.
Getting done in the kitchen, her legs landed on the step. She blushed hard as the thoughts of what he might do to her before sunrise crossed her mind. Becca was so prepped for it all.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 202
Alexander’s POV…
My entire mood felt giddy; I had woken up to see Carlos and Jason in the office waiting for our arrival. We had been quite late, too many reasons that involved certain people being ridden into oblivion.
He has been in denial mode all morning, and I haven’t decided how to deal with him yet. But seeing Carlos and Jason, I knew just what to do to him.
“It’s been almost like forever since I last saw you both.” I grinned at them
“Have you been missing me when I’m only one call away,” Carlos muttered in his usual cheerful state.
“Shut the hell up!” Mused Caleb, all of them settling into the chairs.
“I really haven’t had the opportunity to thank you all for your hard work and dedication to the protection and safety of the pack,” I said.
“Which is why we need to go to a nice place and have a good time out,” Jason stated. He sounded quite chatty, which was unlike him. It’s more of Carlos’s thing.
“You sound elated, Jason,” Caleb spoke my mind.
Carlos shared a look with Caleb and me, mouthing. “he is in love.”
“I would have you mind your business for real this time Carlos.” Said Jason, throwing daggers at his friend.
Shrugging, Carlos looked unbothered. “You do know the truth would be out eventually. It would be nice if you just give us a full update now. To avoid taking any of us by surprise.”
Jason slapped his forehead, “you should keep that energy the same when I dig for information as regards you and Bella.”
That got Carlos quiet as he popped up a middle finger at Jason. A loud laugh spread through the room as we all threw our heads to the back.
It felt good having a time out with them again and not necessarily having to discuss issues as regards war and surviving.
“I just booked a table of four at a classy restaurant,” Caleb informed us
Rubbing his palms together, Carlos licked his lips. “That’s sweet.”
“Before we get far into this merriments. I would like us to look into the case of Athena Aloha.” Said Caleb.
My head went blank at the mention of Athena. I tried to remember where I had heard the name before. When it eventually clicked, I raised a brow at Caleb. She was clearly an aider and abetter of crime. Nothing I could be told would make me believe she didn’t know about John intending to kill Sonia from the very beginning.
She does look like a mere child, but that doesn’t imply she couldn’t delve into something as crude as murder.
“I know what you are thinking, alpha. But there is an actual need to reconsider this and punish her accordingly. Having her still locked up doesn’t look good on our legacy.” Caleb pushed further.
“Did Becca and Edwina put you up to this?” I inquired. As I remember, he and the ladies were having some sort of secret discussion while I got settled in the car.
“Hmmn! Did you spend the night with Becca?” Carlos teased, resulting in him getting elbowed by Jason, who was trying to hold back a chuckle too.
Caleb turned a shade of red, “can you not try to meddle in my private life? I’m actually not a fan.”
“Doesn’t seem like it to me. You can’t glow so much with a not-so-hideous smile on your face.” I added, trying to pull it longer than the intended stretch.
He glared at me, squinting his eyes, “back off, Xander.”
Carlos snorted, “he is so smitten.”
That got me reeling with laughter. “stop teasing your beta, Carlos.”
Raising his hand in surrender, Carlos wiggled his brow at Caleb, causing him to get hit by a ball pen the latter had picked from my table.
“Back to the matter on hand, alpha. Please, let’s try to find a way to work something out for the sake of her sick mother. Athena admitted to being guilty of allowing him in, considering the compromising situations they are both in. It’s no surprise she indulged in such a thing without thinking twice.” Caleb explained.
“I guess he is right, alpha. You can’t keep her unattended to.” Added Jason.
“Have you decided what you would do to those in the dungeon that had been Ben’s allies,” Carlos questioned, unbuttoning his suit.
I thought about what they were saying. Eventually, there would be a need to do the needful with the offenders.
“I agree with what you all are saying. Caleb, I will leave it up to you to sort Athena’s trial. And as for those kept in the dungeon, let them stay for a while. Appears quite convenient. Also, Carlos, I hope there is a measure put in place to avoid what occurred yesterday?”
Carlos cleared his throat, sitting up. “Yesterday just happened to be unfortunate. John had himself killed with the cloth he had on himself.”
“Serves him right. I really don’t feel bad for him. How is the Luna holding up?” Asked Jason.
I shrugged, “better than I expected.”
“Let’s head out now since we practically have nothing much to do,” Caleb told us.
As we all strolled out, I noticed Ramona had a very hard look on her face. She hadn’t been cheerful since her fallout with Caleb. But it had seemed different for a few days now. I noticed Caleb avoided her eyes and moved a bit too fast towards the elevator.
*
The restaurant was just as classy as Caleb had described. He had booked a private booth for us, and the food platter looked like a whole feast.
“The moment I am done here, I am going back home to gloat to Bella about how good it is to live life.” Carlos chewed on a chicken wing, grinning a bit too widely.
I laughed along with Jason, keeping a curious eye on Caleb, who seemed distant. His phone kept beeping, and all he did was ignore it. Five minutes hadn’t passed by when he glared at his phone, his eyes darting back and forth.
I could tell it was a message. Caleb stood up hurriedly, trying to blank out the emotions rushing to his face.
“Carlos, please ensure the alpha gets back safely to the office. Pardon me, alpha, we will meet at the office.”
He didn’t let me respond before storming out. We all shared a confused look before returning our attention to the food. I don’t support any form of waste; remember, food gives life.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 203
Authors POV…
“What the f**k, Ramona! Why the hell are you coming after me with so many messages and calls?” Caleb looked livid as he growled at Ramona. They stood a few feet from each other.
For about a week, Ramona had been texting and calling consistently for a meet-up. Every location she picks is either her house or his. Caleb was trying his very best to avoid being in an enclosed space with her. Despite being able to define his feelings, a part of him still finds Ramona sexually appealing, and he really can’t be certain of what he could be capable of.
And it was obvious Ramona knew that weakness of his, the look in her eyes gave her out.
“Say something already! I left a gathering just because of you!” He growled in frustration.
Ramona had sent him a message saying something along the line of committing suicide if he didn’t show up. It was still working hours, implying their only meeting space would be his office. When he got back, she was seated comfortably in his chair. She was wearing a provocative dress that wasn’t on her when he and the others stepped out of the office.
The demon works hard, but Ramona works harder. His wolf growled in confusion as he tried to keep his eyes glued to one place. But they kept finding their way back to her plump boobs. It looked like she had rubbed oil on them.
“F**k!” Caleb cussed, turning around to keep control of his spiralling thoughts.
Ramona watched as he battled within himself. She had to get him one way or the other. The moment Caleb had been assigned as the beta of the night howlers, she had made up her mind to make him hers. The thought of someone as low as Becca standing a chance with Caleb made her really angry.
There was something important she needed to share with him; it, however, had to be told in the most dramatic way. Ramona knew her charm still lingered on Caleb, and it would only take a few minutes of resistance before he gave in. It was why she sat down patiently waiting for him to break away from the hold.
“I am not here to fight with you, Caleb. All I want is a mature discussion between us.” She said in a low, seductive voice that sounded like music to Caleb’s ears.
Ramona stood up from where she sat, making her way towards him in the slowest form of movement. Swinging every part of her body with intention.
Caleb stepped backwards, wiggling a finger at her, “don’t come close, Ramona. I’m not playing right now.” He warned in a less authoritative tone.
Caleb cussed at his weak state of mind. As hard as he tried to resist falling for Ramona’s charm, his d**k found it very intriguing. To make matters worse, Ramona’s arousal filled the whole room, turning all his insides.
Holding his gaze, Ramona moved closer to him. Caleb got stuck by the couch placed in the office. With one push from her finger, he slumped into the couch.
“Stop this, Ramona!” He said almost in a whisper.
Not responding to him, she sat on his thighs, spreading her legs wide. The dress rolled up her fresh thighs, making Caleb take a sharp breath. He tried to remind himself of the breathtaking s*x he had with Becca last night. Instead, he got distracted by Ramona’s placing of her boobs on the tip of his nose as she licked her lips seductively.
Leaning towards his ear, her lips brushed through it. “I promise, Becca wouldn’t suspect a thing.”
Caleb tried to get her off him, “this won’t do, Ramona.”
However, he was too deep into her trap when he felt her hands on his already hardening d**k. Caleb inhaled sharply. He had been too carried away with her gaze and didn’t know when she had made her way towards unzipping his trousers.
“Ramona!” He said In a coarse tone.
“Yes, baby.” She cooed back. “I know you want it,” Ramona whispered, raising herself a bit as she sat on his d**k. All of her wetness consumed his hard other.
Caleb m****d as she ground against him, still holding his gaze. He was lost in the pool of her eyes. Holding onto the edge of the couch, Ramona slammed herself against him, grinding hard on his entire length. The m***s that escaped his lips were that of plain pleasure as he held on to her boobs, squeezing them with all of his palms.
Ramona m****d loudly when his d**k hit her sensitive spot. He joined in, too, their m***s synching. Their arousal filled the room, giving off a sweet saint. Caleb’s nose took a whiff of the uniqueness in the arousal. It was scented differently and odd to him. Something was off about it.
But he was getting so lost in the juiciness of Ramona’s p***y to pay attention to the stench engulfing the entirety of the room.
Gripping onto the cough tightly, Ramona screamed as she orgasmed. Her body limped at the aftereffect. However, Caleb was just a few seconds before reaching his. Flipping Ramona on her back, he laid on her spreading her thighs wide as he thrust into her with force. She held his shoulders, digging her fingers into his skin.
Caleb grunted, hitting every of Ramona’s insides with his d**k. With a strong, intense shake, he came, breathing hard as he rested his back on the couch sitting up. Shame engulfed him as the whole feelings that seemed irresistible left him.
He tried not to glance towards Ramona. She had sat up now, pulled her dress down and headed to the restroom attached to the office.
Pulling at his hair, Caleb bit hard on his lips, putting his d**k back inside his trousers. Guilt tightened his chest as his eyes locked with Ramona’s when she stepped out of the restroom.
“Can we forget this ever happened?” He murmured, standing up with his back turned to her.
Ramona held a devious smirk, “of course, definitely. Except you would need to prepare your mind as you would become a father soon.” She dropped the bombshell on him with a victorious grin on her face.
Caleb stared in disbelief, his heart racing. “please tell me you don’t mean that?” There was a plea in his voice.
“You can argue with the doctor’s report I already emailed you. Have a nice day!” Ramona said to him as she stormed out of the office.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 204
Authors POV…
Caleb blinked consistently, trying to adjust his brain to the mind-shattering news he just got from Ramona. His ear made a distinctive noise as his shaky hands scrolled through his phone screen to check his email. Ramona had meant it when she claimed the pregnancy test result had been sent to his email.
The gynaecologist at the human-owned hospital she had gone to had his number written at the end of the test result. Refusing to get played by Ramona, he dialled the line.
The other line came to life after the second ring, Caleb had been expecting to hear a man speak, but a mature ladylike voice was what he heard.
“Good day, Dr Derby here. What can I do for you?”
Gulping hard, Caleb sat up, “I would like to ask about the pregnancy test result done by a lady at your hospital.” Finding it hard to say the word, he muttered in horror. “I’m her fiance.”
He called out Ramona’s name and her registration number written on the result. Dr Derby had been reluctant at first until she had put a call through to Ramona, who had given the go-ahead for Caleb to be told. The pregnancy was confirmed, with the date and every detail concerning her test.
He cussed out loud at how careless he had acted; Caleb’s head spun in circles as he tried to get a hang of the next step to take. Running his hands over his hair countlessly, he kept breathing in and out in an attempt to control his raving mind.
Standing up from where he sat, Caleb almost fell flat on his face when he wobbled a bit. His chest tightened; it felt like he would have a panic attack. With Ramona being pregnant, the prospect of his relationship with Becca would surely head for the rocks. When he finally felt some inner peace, another chaos had to come into place. It had just occurred to him why he had caught a whiff of the odd smell of Ramona’s arousal. That was due to the state she was in.
Leaning on the table’s edge to steady himself, the door clicked open, letting Xander in. With the look on Xander’s face, Caleb could tell he had been suspicious from the very beginning.
“Why are you sweating so much when the air conditioner is on full blast?” Xander inquired with a raise of his brow.
Caleb sighed, holding up his friends’ gaze. He could envision the disappointment in Xander’s eyes when he got to know about the fresh mess he had gotten himself into. Not being able to tell which would break his heart the most, the hate Becca would feel for him or Xander’s anger towards him.
“Will you tell me what the hell is up with you?” Xander sounded on edge.
He had been quite bothered about his friend the moment they had stepped into the restaurant. Caleb had been acting really strange, and it was more suspicious when he left the restaurant in a hurry after receiving a message. Xander had been unsettled since Caleb left, and the rest of the lunch had turned out less lively. Xander had to head to Caleb’s office immediately after he was driven back by Carlos.
“I feel so lost, Xander.” Caleb eventually let out as he slumped into the chair.
Xander’s eyes stayed glued to Caleb’s, “what are you talking about?”
“I should start from the beginning. Please don’t be so disappointed; I know it’s really stupid of me.” Caleb began shutting his eyes tightly, “Ramona has been seeking my attention for a couple of days now, and I had been insistent on not seeing her. Constant texts and calls, I couldn’t keep avoiding her when she sent a threatening text. Almost like she was sending a stern warning to cause chaos if I didn’t come to her. My mind was so preoccupied I feared she was attempting suicide. Only to return here to find Ramona in the most provocative outfit.”
Xander looked amused at the end of his sentence, “why do you look so flushed at the mention of it? You have always fancied Ramona in whatever it is she wore.”
Shaking his head vigorously, “that’s not it, Xander. I f****d her. We f****d right in here.”
Silence fell into the room, and Xander stared wide-eyed at Caleb. “Please tell me that’s a joke.”
“No, Xander. To make matters worse, she is pregnant.”
“Sounds like a pregnant season.” Xander joked unintentionally, causing Caleb to glare at him. “Sorry.” He mouthed.
“I’m being serious right now, Xander. I have no idea how or when it happened. Ramona had played her cards so well. Becca would never trust me ever again.” Caleb lamented. “I’m so sorry for disappointing you this way, Xander. I’m such a shame for a beta.”
Xander observed Caleb for a split second before clearing his throat. “Caleb, I really don’t understand what you mean by me getting disappointed in you. We are imperfect beings. Of course, we are bound to make mistakes, and no one is an actual saint. The only thing I blame you for is your inability to resist her when she came for you this time around. I have a bad feeling about it. But that’s not to get your mind reeled up again. We would work this out, Caleb, before it gets out of hand.”
“How about Becca?” Caleb inquired, looking a bit relaxed.
“She can’t react if she doesn’t know yet. Let’s figure out a way to negotiate with Ramona. That’s what matters now. Also, letting your woman know a secret of yours when you don’t have a solution yet is really not cool.”
Caleb nodded in agreement hoping Ramona wouldn’t try anything funny by pulling a fast one on him with the information she had as regards them. He tried to not brood over the consequence his irrational act would cost him. Taking a deep breath, he shared a glance with Xander as both of them sat in silence, lost in their thoughts.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 205
Edwina’s POV…
Leaning into the fluffy armchair I sat on, I bobbed my head back and forth, letting the silence in the study seep into my thoughts. I smiled as the thought of Xander being such a tease last night flashed through my mind. He was really growing on me, and I didn’t want it to end soon or forever. I rubbed at my belly, letting the proud smile spread out on my lips.
Last night I had been worried I would be saddled with nightmares of my father. But I was surprised at how much sleep I had gotten. I slept peacefully like a baby. The torment of having to worry about my messed up family was finally over. All I want is to focus on being happy with Xander and my unborn cub.
However, another fear has settled in the pit of my belly, and it’s one thing I can affirm to it, giving me sleepless nights for as long as it lasts. I shifted in the chair, trying to focus on the book I had on hand.
Becca had been quite busy all day. They were stocking groceries and other things up for the kitchen. I had to find a way to distract myself. Xander had barred me from moving around too much for the sake of our baby. Putting my leg up, resting and eating whatever I desire is my newly assigned duty as the Luna. It seems funny, but I am enjoying this set of new duties.
I had decided to come to the study; it had been a long time since I last sat there. My mind had been too preoccupied to concentrate on a book. As usual, I had stood by the wall to drool over Xander’s mother’s picture frame. I thought of how she had been able to birth an alpha wolf despite being human. I could really use some help and assurance, as I was running wild with the thoughts.
“How long have you been here?” Becca asked as she took a seat in front of me.
I beamed at her, “not quite long, just been about two hours now.”
Staring at my hand in amusement, “and you are still stuck on the third page? You don’t appear really interested in the book to me.”
I snorted, “it’s not like there is an actual deadline for me to finish reading.”
She giggled in response. I tilted my head, taking a moment to notice her behaviour. “Is there something you are hiding, Becca?”
Playing with her fingers, Becca bowed her head. “Why would I do that?”
“Probably because you feel a bit shy about sharing.” I sat up a bit when I caught sight of the blush on her face. “Wait a minute! Are you blushing right now, Becca?”
She waved a playful dismissal hand at me, “stop being so nosy, Luna.”
“I want all of the details. Don’t you dare keep any out of it, ” I mused
Becca grinned with delight, letting out a long sigh. “Caleb and I had s*x yesterday; it was the best feeling ever.”
“Did you get to o****m?” I muttered in a whisper.
Blushing furiously, she looked away from me a bit. “do you have to be so raw?”
I booed, “can’t blame me. I have been a horny pregnant woman walking around for weeks.”
We both laughed loudly, mine ending a bit abruptly. Becca also stayed quiet, giving a scrutinizing look.
“What’s up with you? Spit it out.” She said sternly but in an extremely sweet manner.
“I’m worried, Becca,” I admitted
“Why is that?”
“You know how much everyone hates someone like me.”
Becca looked confused, “why would anyone hate you?”
“Due to my deficiency. I’m scared my child might take after me. My parents, both wolves, gave birth to a deficient child like myself who has no wolf. I’m scared I would bring such doom to the alpha’s household. None of them would forgive me.” I sniffed.
She stared for a while, folding her arms together, “you do know you are no different from the alpha’s mother.”
“She was a human. I’m a werewolf with no actual wolf, Becca. It’s two different things.” The excitement I was feeling before was beginning to deflate.
“Edwina, you can’t say that. And you shouldn’t be bothered about any of those things. Xander would love you endlessly, whichever way. You should know he is sticking with you despite what everyone thinks.”
I snickered, “you do know our marriage wasn’t exactly the love at first sight type of togetherness.”
She shook her head in disagreement, “why would you say such? You don’t need to bother your pretty head about things like this. You should be more concerned about ensuring you and your unborn child stay healthy. The rest can be resolved when you are done birthing.”
I gave a dismissive nod. Becca wouldn’t understand what I was trying to explain. I had been the one who lived practically all of my life as an unwanted member of the pack. And it wasn’t something I would wish upon anyone. I wouldn’t want a child of mine to have to endure such trying times.
My own father never stared me in the face. Even though it’s safe to say that John Sinclair was never worth being considered a father. But I can tell Xander would make a good father. However, it might appear different when his supposed heir is wolfless. That would be a big slap on the alpha, and I don’t want to be the one to bring such shame to the family. My heart felt heavy.
“Tell me about Xander’s mother.” I nodded towards Becca to distract myself.
A smile spread on her face, “like I said before, the alpha spoke endlessly about her. There was no way she wouldn’t interest you. And everyone else who came in contact with her admitted she was the sweetest of all souls and loved life. Despite being human, they chose her. The alpha was happy, and the whole pack revelled in it. And if this would make you feel better, I must say you are just the same as the alpha’s mother. Lovely and sweet.”
I sniffed, staring up at Becca, my eyes blazing with tears. But she was looking elsewhere and with a scared look on her face. Turning my head towards the direction of her stare, Xander stood by the entrance, his face emotionless.
