Ch. 81..85: The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate Chapter 81-85
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 81
Author’s POV…
Becca stared out the general study window, watching the alpha’s private car drive into the garage. Her heart raced, knowing Caleb would be in the car with him.
She turned her back, taking a deep breath. Her hands shook; she was nervous, and the last thing she wanted was to see him. She had no idea if she was going to be able to control her emotions around him any longer. The urge to blurt out and scream at his face was so strong.
“Of what use would that be?” She questioned herself, disappointed at the turnout of the event. The last thing Becca wanted was to get in a love triangle. It felt like the moon goddess had something against her in terms of finding love.
Her first love had died in the war, leaving her dry and lonely. To top it all, she fell for a man who wouldn’t look twice at her. It made her feel too conscious of her looks, blaming it on the age difference between them.
“It is a matter of the heart, and it’s certainly unpredictable. It’s not your fault your heart beats for him.” The soothing words were of Luna Edwina softening into her thoughts, calming her down a bit.
“Becca!”
He called out. She knew he would find her soon. Caleb acted like a five-year-old seeking for his mother whenever he was around. Exercising her breath, Becca turned toward the sound of his voice with a wide smile plastered on her face.
Caleb beamed with delight when he saw her. He stretched out both of his hands. “And there goes my favorite person.” He mused, hugging her tightly.
Becca grinned at his reaction; he seemed highly expressive. “What’s gotten you so excited today?”
Holding her by the shoulder, he smiled at her. “You might want to sit down to hear this.” He urged, guiding her to the couch reserved in the room.
Caleb held onto her hands tenderly, making her heart beat increasingly. Her thoughts were racing about what he wanted to share with her so bad.
“You would get blown away by this.” He warned her, still holding onto the suspense.
Anxiety crept into Becca’s spines, “out with it already.”
“Okay.” He breathed loudly, “you won’t believe it but it’s the actual truth…. Ramona agreed to go on a date with me.” Caleb wheezed.
“Oh.” Becca mused, her excitement deflating at the news. How could she be so stupid to think otherwise ?”Good for you.”
Caleb noticed the change in her countenance, “I know what you are thinking, but I won’t get hurt, I promise. She might be nicer than you think and love me for who I am.”
“Oh yeah.” Becca wanted to respond in sarcasm. Caleb was so clueless one would think he was dickheaded.
How he didn’t read her countenance as that of despair and disappointment angered her. Snatching her hands from his hold, she stood up promptly.
“I would like to head to the kitchen, it’s almost time for dinner.” She announced, not intending to go into details.
Standing up to meet her gaze, he asked, “is everything okay, Becca? You don’t seem so excited.”
Maybe because you are the dumbest man I have ever come across. She intended to say but kept her thoughts to herself.
“What do you intend to cook?” He chatted happily as he trailed behind her towards the massive kitchen.
Becca didn’t have much work to do but supervise the meal to be eaten by the Luna and alpha. She had always loved the comfort the aroma of the spices gave her, but today she hated everything. The clanking of the pots, the excess movement of the kitchen staff, and the scent of the meal made her feel nauseated. The one whose presence irked her the most was that of Caleb. He trolled behind her like a lost puppy.
“Shouldn’t you be in your office or at home?” She managed to mutter.
Caleb shook his head lightly, “I came to spend the rest of the day with you, also I would need you to tell me what I should wear for the date. Should be tomorrow night since it’s the weekend.”
She had never felt the urge to spank someone so badly before, “let me be!” She said, walking away to the kitchen store room. In her frustration, she gripped the shelf veggies were arranged in, heaving. From her side view, she saw Caleb moving slowly towards her.
When he got to her, he stood behind her, his breath extremely close to her neck. They were hot and scented like mint. Caleb caressed her back slowly, using his long finger to trail circles on her back. Becca m****d in pleasure, still maintaining her stance. He moved his hands towards her breast, rubbing on it from the soft silk top she had on. For the first time, she felt grateful for such comfortable wear. It made her breast easy to access.
She felt him drop wet k****s, trailing them down to her nape. Becca turned and grabbed his neck hard when he found his way into her skirt, his hand rubbing lightly on her clit through her panties. She shivered at the electrifying feeling she got from the effect. Making an attempt to slip his fingers into her already dripping p***y….
“Becca!” Caleb’s voice drawled out, snapping her out of it, “is everything okay?” He queried, his face creased in worry.
Becca jolted violently, staring back at him in shock. Her hands had gripped the shelf so hard they were red from the effect. She had zoned out, lost in her own fantasies of Caleb making out with her. Her face turned into a bright red.
“I have been shaking you for a few seconds now.” He uttered.
It seemed strange of her to act weird; he had been standing at the door trying to figure out what was going on with her. Her wolf seemed hurt, but he couldn’t place what was wrong. They told each other everything, but it was apparent Becca was hiding something from him.
“Sorry, please excuse me.” She hid her face, feeling mortified. Her panties were stained from her wetness and s****l fantasies.
Running out as fast as she could, Caleb stared at her back in confusion.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 82
Ben’s POV…
Argghhhh! I would lose my mind soon at the stupidity of these pack members. I wondered what the hell I was on my mind when I decided to join forces with these morons. Alpha bethel made me pissed the more. How in the world did they make such a clown an alpha? The rules around here need to change.
I have had so many f***s in a week, and I must admit I am tired. And bothered too, news reaching me has it that one of the sizzler warriors that I had sent as a spy to reach Sonia had been bailed on.
“F**k!”
How dare Sonia? That bitch had me tripping. According to the feedback, she had totally thrown me under the bus, saying she knew nothing about the plot I had let her in on. Sonia must think she is smart. She has my heir inside of her and thinks I would let her off the hook.
The night howlers have been on high alert, securing their pack, and it’s becoming harder to figure out their next line of action. The only thing I could work with was Xander calling for assistance.
I have thought hard and long about those he could have gone to for help. I know everything about him, which was why I had no issue penetrating the night howlers with the help of the sizzlers, but now that I’m no longer there, it’s much harder to obtain first-hand information.
To cap my frustration, alpha bethel seems more interested in organizing orgy sessions than focusing on the issue at hand. Xander seems to be quiet, which is unlike him. He isn’t one to sit still. No one came after me to find me, and neither has he let Edwina go as a peace offering.
Edwina! Thinking about it now, I miss her so much. Her tenderness and sweet love didn’t go unnoticed by me. It was just fun to have two women of your choice, especially two sisters, whenever and wherever you wanted them.
Edwina was my comfort after a long week or trip, and knowing I could toss her whichever way I liked made it more soothing having her around.
I try not to imagine Xander f*****g her and making her wail his name. That bastard always had what belonged to me. I needed to act fast if I must get my wife and unborn child back.
“My man!” Alpha bethel slapped my back, making me jolt out of my seat a bit. I wasn’t expecting it. I felt like punching the idiot in the face.
“Why aren’t you joining the party?” He asked
I looked around at the rowdy hall. Half of the women there were sluts who didn’t mind the number of men they would have to f**k. It’s a pleasure being in the alpha’s presence. It was the weekend, and as usual, a party had been put up. I was sitting in a secluded corner at the end of the hall. If I must be sincere, I doubt if there was ever a moment a party or gathering that, for f***s sake, wasn’t held. For some reason, I feared the effect my rigorous f***s for days would have on my precious back.
“Don’t you think we have other important things to discuss than p***y’s?” I threw at him, trying to make the Buffon see reasons.
To my disappointment, he laughed it off, “you worry yourself too much my man. Xander must be shaking in his wheelchair right now wondering what would become of his pack.”
“You don’t underestimate Xander, he is a cold man.” I tried to explain, knowing Xander might be crippled, but he hasn’t exactly lost his sense of reasoning.
“Don’t worry yourself, you worry too much. Let me handle this on your behalf.” He made a solemn swear before weaving himself into the midst of some randy-looking she-wolves.
My head ached as I massaged it lightly. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
“Thought you looked stressed. Was right after all.” The voice came.
Looking up to see who it was, I wasn’t surprised when it turned out to be the lady from the sizzlers council meeting. I had been too engrossed in the situation at hand that I didn’t remember to reach out to her.
“Mind if I ease your stress?” She whispered into my ear.
Sighing, I thought otherwise. Maybe I did need my stress to be eased.
“I didn’t catch your name.” Even though I wasn’t really keen on knowing.
“Malia.” She sang. Her voice sounded like music to my ears, and the soft texture of her lips on my ear skin made me chuckle.
I stretched out my hand to hold her, leading her to a staircase that led to something like a basement or more of a store room for the hall. I took her along with me and closed the door from behind. Just as we stepped onto the first step, she pushed me against the railing. Bending down in one swift movement, the only thing I heard was the sound of my trouser zip coming off and the feeling of her warm mouth on my already hard d**k.
“F**k!” I murmured. My goodness! I must say she gives the best blow jobs. Her head moved back and forth like an expert; she must have been doing this for a long time, I noted.
I threw my head back, enjoying the moment, my heavy thoughts dissipating as the pleasure mounted.
Pulling her up towards me with her hair, I turned her back to the railing. Both of us switched positions. She had a flowing dress on, making it easier to rip off her panties.
Holding up her right leg, I wrapped it around my waist. Positioning her well, I rammed my d**k into her. She let out a sudden gasp, increasing the pace she m****d loudly. Her m**n only made me go harder, she had a voice that could turn anyone on, and it only sent my wolf into a frenzy. Her butt hit against the concrete rails as I slammed into her at every pace. She let out a shrill scream when I hit her core. Almost reaching my peak, I f****d her harder and faster, letting out all of my stress as I had the best o****m I had had all week.
Holding both sides of the rail, keeping her in between, she smiled weakly. Seems like I had found another contemporary f**k buddy.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 83
Alexander’s POV…
“Shouldn’t you be prepared for work now?” Edwina asked me.
I sat in my wheelchair, staring out into space. I felt numb. She walked up to me, kneeling in front of me.
“You seem exhausted, did I do too much?” She teased with a twinkle in her eye.
She was definitely pulling my legs. We had s*x all through the night, and as distracting as the s*x was, it didn’t suffice for the situation the pack was in. We needed to fortify our security and be ready for war.
I haven’t heard from Caleb yet; it’s been days since I ordered him to make arrangements for the prisoners to train, and yet, there has been no single report from him since after.
I sighed, putting the escaped strand of hair behind her ear. “You worry your pretty head too much.”
Her eyes were so distracting I wanted to get lost in them and forget about everything, but I knew better than to lose focus. Checking my phone, I noticed Caleb had dropped me a message saying he was outside the door. I wonder why he sent a text instead of calling.
“I am leaving now. Bye.” I kissed her quickly on the lips. I felt like I should have asked first. Even though we had been having s*x for a while, there was still no actual discussion of what was going on between us.
My trust issues mounted every day as I found myself falling hopelessly for her; she made my heart beat rapidly whenever I saw her. Doubting my feelings comes easily whenever I remind myself of the situation with Sonia. I had done everything in my power to be a good husband and lover, but still, she laid it on me. Also, Edwina had told me how she was only performing the act as if it was her duty. I feel really hurt hearing her say so. I wanted to talk about it so bad, but I knew It wasn’t the right time to discuss such a trivial matter in the face of war.
She nodded her goodbye while opening the door for me. Caleb stood rigidly by the door.
“Something stuck up your a*s?” I said in a low tone to keep the other wolves from hearing their alpha throw jabs.
Caleb, with his annoying ability to give off zero reaction to whatever doesn’t sound pleasant to him, ignored me.
I nodded my head, “something is definitely stuck in your a*s.”
Easing him the stress of getting me into the car, I practically did the lifting myself. He went to the car booth to put the wheelchair in.
“How do you make jokes in this critical condition we are in?” He finally retorted
I couldn’t resist the chuckle that escaped my lips, “can’t you take a little bit of a joke?” I taunted.
“News coming from the wolves I sent outside the pack is that we are still under threat.” Caleb had a distant look on his face.
“Isn’t that an obvious situation?”
“The sizzlers are so relaxed with the thought of conquering our pack.”
I frowned, “so, what then are you insinuating?”
He inhaled deeply, “how about you just let go of your pretence and stand up to do something!”
I had never seen him so frustrated. Realizing how loud he’d let out his voice, he quickly apologized.
“I’m sorry, Alpha, I’m just sincerely tired of the situation. Everyone keeps saying….” He got a hold of himself as he looked away.
I furrowed my brows, “everyone keeps saying what?”
“Don’t mind me, sir. I just had an unconscious outburst.”
“Spit it out!” I barked with my wolf growling along.
“A lot of the pack members have turned their backs, the keppa clan most especially are spreading a whole lot of rumors which implies they might move out of the pack and join the sizzlers soon.”
“It’s a matter of choice.”
“Its your duty to protect the pack and keep it from breaking.”
“I am trying to find a way out.”
“Doesn’t look like it to me.” He insisted, slapping his palm on the steering wheel
We both kept quiet for some minutes, each of us lost in our own thoughts. “How about the prisoners I asked you to select?” I questioned
“They are ready now, it’s why I called you out. Since you intended to keep it a secret, I don’t want anyone eavesdropping on our conversation.”
“Thanks for that. I need you to get trusted men from the Omega clan. We still need to scrutinize them thoroughly to ensure we only work with those who are really our allies. The Gammas have promised to help, but that would only be after the prisoners have been well trained. With the help of your men and the warriors, we should get them ready in a few weeks’ time.”
He finally let out a little smile, “I’m sorry.”
I shrugged, “don’t be. You only did what you had to; you are my beta, and looking out for the pack is just as paramount to you as it is to me.”
“I would take care of finding the chameleons amongst the new warriors.”
“Where did you keep them?”
“They are secluded in the underground training below the prison yard.
“How many of them?”
“About 500 of them.”
I tilted my head, trying to run a quick calculation, “not bad. It isn’t about the number but their strength. Have you handled their feeding?”
“Yes, I had Becca secretly take care of that for me.”
“Have they all been informed of the clause behind their release?” I realized that I was beginning to ask too many questions, but I just needed to let Caleb know I was not so clueless after all. Petty? I know.
“Yes they have been informed, alpha.”
“Get me Carlos and Jason. I need to see them.”
“Right now?”
“No, when we return home. Our meetings would be done in my study. There is a need for entire scrutiny.
“Do you think involving Jason at this point will do?”
“I need to know from start if they are truly intending to help.”
“As your lordship pleases.”
Kicking the car into ignition, Caleb drove off into the busy road. My mind kept roaming in circles. Aside from Caleb, Edwina, and I, who knew my intention with the prisoners, I do not intend to let out too much information. Since not all of them can be trusted, there is a need for me to watch what I do. Ben won’t be taking anything away from me, not my woman and definitely not my pack.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 84
Authors POV…
The cloak he had on covered his entire frame, and he moved stealthily towards the path. Something had to be done to cover up his mess. How could she have gathered the courage to speak out? It’s been years, and one would have thought she had gotten over it. If anyone decided to believe her, that would be the definite end for him. His reputation and everything he had worked for over the years would be taken away from him right under his nose.
It was never his intention for things to turn out the way they did. He should have known she was a wild child. No one can blame him for how she turned out, but night howlers are emotional fools who would sympathize with a murderer if he knows how to tell a story. However, this was an entirely different case. He would not just be humiliated in front of the whole pack, but till the end of time, his entire generation would be spat on for committing such an abominable act. This wasn’t about him; it was for the future. He assured himself.
“And who do we have here?” The voice taunted, “Omega John Sinclair; it’s been a while.”
John watched with shady eyes, eyeing the figure hiding in the dark. He wouldn’t have ever thought of indulging in such a callous act, but it’s said desperate times call for desperate measures. If eliminating his daughter would make him save his face, then he would definitely do whatever it takes. He wasn’t going to go down with shame.
Glaring at the one he had called to help him fix his mess, he dipped his hand into the pocket of his cloak and handed what seemed like an envelope to him.
“Ensure to take care of it,” John warned.
The man muttered, “you know the only thing that would make me do anyone’s bid is this,” he raised the packet, lightly slamming it against his palm.
“Thanks.”
“You don’t need to thank me.” He grinned, staring at John for a split second. “I am amused though why would you want to kill your daughter and grandchild?”
“Probably if you mind your damn business, you won’t need to ask me that.” John growled.
The man sauntered back, wise enough to not get into a brawl with him. John Sinclair was known to be one of the strongest and most skilled Omega warriors. The last thing he would want to indulge in is a bloody fight. He already got what he wanted, and that was enough.
“Jared!” John called out to him, “do as you are told, don’t make me find you.” He threatened.
Watching Jared leave, John looked around to ensure no one was watching in a corner. His heart was heavy; he loved Sonia just like he did his pretty wife, Elena.
**FLASHBACK**
John was obsessed with Elena, and he knew it. He would daydream about her and o****m just at the mere mention of her name. Whenever he made love to her, it was heavenly. He would rather lose everything than lose her. However, death proved itself to be stronger than his resolve, and it took her away from him. He watched as Sonia moved around the house with an unintentional gait that reminded him of his beloved wife.
He felt unfairly treated by the moon goddess. She gave him a second daughter who had no wolf and earned the family a demeaning title, then his wife got taken away from him.
He smacked his lips together as he watched his young daughter again. She looked so much like her mother that it drove him crazy.
Anyone would have sworn she was Elena reincarnated. Shaking the thoughts off his mind, he went into his room to lay for the day. However, he couldn’t find sleep. Not thinking twice, he stood up and headed straight to Sonia’s room.
She laid out on the bed with nothing but a transparent lacy singlet. Almost as if she knew of his coming, all he saw was Elena. And the excitement of his wolf only made it intense.
Trailing his hands on her leg, she jolted from her sleep.
“Papa,” Sonia called out, looking frightened.
“Shhhh…” He hushed her. “This would be quick, I promise.”
And that was how it started.
**PRESENT DAY**
He buried his head in the bathtub filled with water, feeling some odd sensation all over him. He had intended for it to stop, but his wolf begged for more the moment he had the first taste of her. And he kept going back repeatedly, till it became a usual routine.
It had taken everything in him five years ago to walk up to the great alpha of the night howlers pack to beg him to marry his older daughter rather than the second.
He had no intention to spite Edwina; he only wanted to get rid of the guilt that crippled his mind whenever he saw Sonia. He always wished for the night to come to melt his guilt away. But it never did. Instead, it mounted and almost made him go crazy.
When Xander requested to marry Edwina, he knew that was his only chance to get Sonia away from him and stop the abominable act.
As fate would have it, Edwina’s lack of a wolf paved the way for her sister’s freedom. He felt assured that his secrets were safe, with Sonia happily married into a good home. Not until she decided to mess things up and cheat on the alpha with his beta and best friend.
“Stupid child!” He spat in disdain.
He had always thought her to be smart, but he knew she was playing smart by trying to justify her actions, using him as an excuse. Closing his eyes, he thought of Elena and wished she was alive to control his beast. His mistakes were finally meeting up with him, but dying a coward wasn’t an option for him.
Sonia had to die. If she doesn’t, he would be disgraced. It was for the sake of the Sinclair lineage, he tried to convince himself. If he came out of hiding now, it would be a shame for him to be banned and have the future Sinclair wolves as outcasts in their own home.
“I’m sorry baby, but you should have kept your mouth shut. Now, this is the only way out.” He muttered, relaxing himself into the already cold water.
The Alpha’s Exchanged Mate – Chapter 85
Authors POV…
Jared nodded as he held the phone to his ears closely, his eyes darting back and forth, watching out for anyone who might listen in on his conversation. A message could have been sent instead of a call, but it was urgent, and he couldn’t hold back.
“Do not let that happen, ensure my child is safe and I don’t care how you do that.” The voice on the other line barked.
“Of course. Trust me, my Lord.” Jared responded, getting off the phone.
He left the secluded corner before straightening out his cloth, then he cleared his throat as he began patrolling the prison yard. He had been assigned to the prison to work as one of the pack guards because of his swiftness, he worked under close scrutiny at first, but when the coast became clear, and he’d earned their trust, he was later allowed to roam about freely. Today was one of those days he felt grateful to be able to pay back his debt.
Before becoming a guard, he had been a notorious swindler from the Gamma clan, and everyone knew Jared as one who would shed his wolf skin for money. It’s not a deniable fact; he had the skills, but he just wasn’t too keen on it anymore.
He had gotten himself entangled in a shady deal with some wolves in sizzlers pack, and the alpha got to know about it. His punishment was to be disowned by the whole pack.
However, the then Beta, Benedict, saw him differently, and because he was in a close-knitted relationship with the alpha, he had been pardoned. To keep him checked, he had been assigned to work at the correctional institution of the pack. He had promised Ben his life for this.
They both worked together during the attack of the sizzlers on the night howlers. He had also stood by Ben when he needed to escape prison. His loyalty to Ben was from the depth of his heart. He did the shady deals most wolves were scared to do on their behalf at hefty prices.
One of such deals is the one John Sinclair brought to him; he had been ordered to poison the ex-luna. Knowing he would not do so due to his allegiance with Ben, he didn’t refuse the job to prevent the desperate man from going to someone else.
On getting to the prison, he had called Ben immediately to inform him of the situation of things. And just as he expected, he wouldn’t carry out the job. Instead, he needed to warn Sonia about taking anything from anyone if she loved herself.
Making his way towards the cells, he moved with caution to avoid any suspicion. Sonia had been kept in a more secluded room due to her attachment with the Luna and, most importantly, her present condition. The room had a comfortable bed and chair to ease her back pain. Edwina had outdone herself to ensure her sister got a minimal measure of comfort in this awful situation.
Whispering into the ears of the one guarding her room, they shared whispers for a split second before the latter walked away.
Sonia recoiled into the bed when she sighted him; she knew immediately that he worked for Ben.
“What did you say to the guard?” She questioned, her wolf standing on guard as they both sensed danger.
Jared couldn’t help the small smile that danced on his lips. “You should take a moment to appreciate me since I am meant to take your life but I wouldn’t.”
“Did Ben send you here to kill me? Because I refused to come with him?”
“It’s obvious you do not know the father of your unborn child well enough if you think he means any harm.”
Still giving him a suspicious look, Sonia relaxed her muscles. “what are you here for then?”
“To deliver your father’s message. He ordered me to kill you.”
Sonia gasped, “that’s a joke, right? What makes you think I would believe anything you say to me? You who turned his back against his alpha and betrayed his own pack. You can rot in hell for all I care.”
Jared sighed, acting bored. He knew it would come to that and had taken the initiative to make a recording of his conversation with John.
Sonia’s eyes shone at the voice of her father. To make her believe him, Jared retrieved the packet he got from his pocket and showed it to her.
“If my father sent you to murder me, why are you telling me all of this then?” She asked calmly with her mind in turmoil. She folded her arms over her belly, protectively promising herself to fight tooth and nail for her child.
“I came to repay the favor beta Ben did for me. I just came to warn you to be careful of whatever you take from anyone. Have it at the back of your mind that someone wants you dead.”
With that being said, Jared walked away just in time before the former guard returned.
Sonia sank deeper into the bed, tears rolling down her face. Her father had totally gone wild if he wanted her dead to cover his tracks.
Over the years, she forced herself to believe that her father didn’t mean any harm. He was just lonely and depressed like she became years later. It never occurred to her that the man she had looked up to all her life intended to kill her.
He couldn’t even reverse such deadly thoughts for the sake of the innocent child.
Sonia wrapped her hands tightly around herself as the tears poured out continuously. She pitied her child so much and felt guilty for bringing it into her messed-up world. Her world was gloomy, and she felt alone and wished she had someone to talk to.
Something struck her mind as she cried bitterly. Only one person did love her and stood by her even when she didn’t deserve it. Edwina, her sister, would come to her aid.
