Corinne turned and went back to her office to instruct her secretary to type up the meeting minutes, and other work tasks.

Jason was not worried Corinne was going to ditch him again; he knew she was a woman of her word. He was leaning against the wall and smiling at her when he saw her walking toward him.

Corinne ignored him and pressed the elevator button.

Jason followed her into the elevator, glanced sideways at her, and said," Why the long face? Are you that upset you have to come out with me?"

Corinne scoffed. "You knew I'd be upset, yet you kept pestering me! Why don't you keep your mouth shut now that I've come out with you?"

Jason's smile deepened at the harsh words. "That's what I like about you, Corinne. You always say whatever's on your mind, not like those two-faced women."

Corinne glanced at him. "How do you know they’re two-faced? Maybe they're serious about you."

Jason crossed his arm. "Who cares if they’re really serious about me? The woman I like is you, not them!"

Corinne's eyes dimmed. It was so obvious she held his actions in high chagrin.

"But I don't like you!" "The more you say what's on your mind, the more I like you!" said Jason with a smile.

Corinne's lips twitched. She decided to keep her mouth shut. Otherwise, with Jason's skill for the gab, there would be no end to their bickering!

The two of them walked out of the elevator. Jason was about to go to his car when Corinne stopped him.

Jeremy's gaze stilled for a second before taking the hard-boiled egg from her.

"Sure."

Sophia looked at him cautiously and with an ingratiating smile. "What's the matter, Zachary? Don't you want to go back to Molomia?"

Jeremy looked lightly at her. "Would you let me stay here if I said I don't want to go back?"

His question had Sophia stumped.

"Um… Why wouldn't you want to go back? Our home is there!" "Home? To me, there's nothing but a prison. I don't have any freedom at all!"

Sophia was stunned. "Zachary, are you blaming me for restricting your freedom?"

Jeremy simply sipped his water.

Sophia put on an aggrieved expression. "The only reason I don't let you go out is because I'm worried about you! Seeing Adam was ignoring her, Sophia repeated, "Hey, Dad. Zachary and I were just going to take Benjamin out for a stroll. Do you want to join US?"

Adam scoffed. "You all don't look like you really want me to go." "Nonsense! Of course we'd love for you to join."

Adam waved his hand. "Forget it. I'm not the type of person to tag along where I'm not welcomed."

After that, he put his hands behind his back and walked to the elevator with his entourage behind him.

Sophia frowned and sighed helplessly. Her relationship with Adam had been tense the past few days. She wondered when he would transfer all of his assets to her.

Sophia did not want to have another quarrel with her father, so she deliberately slowed down her pace while wheeling Jeremy so that they would have to take the next elevator ride.

Jeremy narrowed his eyes. "I remember your father always spoils you rotten, but he's changed lately. What happened?"

Even Jeremy could tell Adam's attitude toward Sophia had experienced a 180- degree turn. This just made her even more worried about her inheritance. She guessed Melinda and Lilin must have spoken ill about her to Adam, and that was why there was such a big change in his attitude!

They got into the RV, and the driver drove them to Serenity Bay. The reason Sophia was willing to take Jeremy and Benjamin out for a stroll was because she already bought flight tickets back to Molomia. They would be leaving in

three days. No matter whether Adam had wrapped up his work, she would take Jeremy home first.

She would undergo IVF surgery tomorrow, and she would then rest for two days before leaving home for Molomia. She thought it would be nice to look around New Capital City since there was a high chance they would not ever come back there anymore.

The RV stopped in an open field, and Sophia wheeled Jeremy out.

Sophia's face immediately darkened, but she told herself not to explode in front of Jeremy. Thus, she squeezed out a smile and said, "Benjamin, you're too young to know anything. Molomia's air is internationally recognized to be the best in the world, so of course it's much better than any other country."

Benjamin rolled his eyes at her. "You're not even a Molomian, so why are you siding with them? You can be a Molomian all you want, but Daddy and I are from New Capital City! We think the air here is better!"

Sophia secretly gritted her teeth at Benjamin's attitude. "That's enough. We're here to have fun, so let's have fun. Benjamin, help Mommy carry my bag so that I can wheel your daddy over there."

Jeremy looked around the view with a darkened expression.

"Daddy, what should we do? I don't want to go back to Molomia," said Benjamin.

Jeremy snapped out of his thoughts and glanced sideways at him. "Why don’t you want to go back?"

Benjamin pouted. "Because I wouldn't be able to see Mommy Corinne then Jeremy's eyes softened at the mention of Corinne. He then narrowed his eyes and asked, "You really like her that much, huh?"

Benjamin nodded vigorously. "Yeah! I like her very much! I want to live with her."

Jeremy stroked the little boy's hair. "Don't worry. We’re not going anywhere.

We'll be living with her in the future."

Benjamin looked at him with disbelief.

"Yes, we are," answered Jeremy while looking at his son gently and firmly.

At that moment, Benjamin blinked and narrowed his eyes as he looked at a point somewhere far ahead. He then blinked again.

"Daddy, I think I'm seeing things. I must be missing Mommy Corinne so much that I'm seeing her here!"

Jeremy was a little taken aback by what Benjamin said. He turned to where the little boy was looking in disbelief, and his pupils immediately shrank when he saw Corinne.

Benjamin was not seeing things at all! It was indeed Corinne. She stood a little further than them as she talked to a man. Judging by their gesture, they looked to be really close.

Having regained his memory, Jeremy could recognize the man to be Jason Talbot. He knew Jason had a crush on Corinne for the longest time, so he simply assumed the other man was trying to get into her pants again.

Jeremy’s eyes immediately turned cold, so cold that he could have shot out ice beams if he wanted.

"Zachary, Benjamin, what are you two looking at? Do you want some water?

Sophia passed them a bottle of mineral water each.

Jeremy immediately looked away from Corinne and went back to normal the moment he heard Sophia's voice. He took the bottle of mineral water from her, twisted open the cap, and gulped down the content with his head thrown back.

Sophia smiled and twisted open the cap of the other bottle of mineral water in her hand. "Here, Benjamin. Drink some water."

Benjamin was still staring at Corinne when he was interrupted by Sophia. "I don't want to drink water! Get lost!" he said angrily.

'Why, this ungrateful little brat!’ thought Sophia.

"Benjamin, I just want you to drink a little water. You're going to get sick if you don't stay hydrated," said Sophia, putting on the good motherly act in front of Jeremy.

Benjamin did not appreciate her gesture. He lifted his chin and scoffed." Leave me alone! I said I don't want to drink any water!" "What's the matter with this child?" He was absent-mindedly taking in the view, and his gaze did not even stop for a second when he saw Corinne. He did not seem like he had any special feelings toward her.

Sophia secretly breathed a sigh of relief. 'Zachary probably doesn't remember anything about Corinne, but she might steal him away if she sees him! She has always been a violent one.' Thus, she quickly wheeled Jeremy away, but it was already too late

Corinne was discussing with Jason about how to develop the land at Serenity Bay when she sensed someone was staring at her. She turned to the particular direction, and her expression froze when she saw Sophia, Jeremy, and Benjamin. She did not expect to run into them there!

Sophia immediately became racked with guilt. She was hoping they would be able to leave the place before Corinne discovered them, but alas, everything was too late.

It would arouse Jeremy's suspicions if she started running away then, so she remained standing where she was and just looked at Corinne quietly as she walked up to her.

Corinne's eyes were filled with bitter resentment while her lips curled up in mockery and hatred.

'Boyfriend? Is she referring to Jason?' thought Corinne.

"I don't have a boyfriend! He's my business partner, and we're here on work matters," answered Corinne in mock agitation. She then glared at Jeremy and said, "So this is who you've been for the past three years?! How could you do this to me?" "And you are?” asked Jeremy in mock confusion.

Their acting skill was so on point that Sophia was fooled.

Corinne did not really want to confront Sophia, but it would arouse the latter woman's suspicions if she did not at least give some kind of reaction. Thus, she forced herself to walk up to her and question her angrily after noticing them from the corner of her eyes.

Jeremy turned to Sophia and asked with the same confusion in his tone," Who is she?"

Sophia tried to squeeze out a nonchalant smile, despite feeling very guilty deep inside. "Oh, her? She's an old friend of ours. It's been a while, Corinne. Might I have a private word with you?" she asked as she grabbed Corinne's arm.

Corinne did not reject her. She followed her to somewhere a few hundred yards away. Her eyes were red with anger, but it was faked. She glared at Sophia and roared, "You better give me a good explanation as to why my husband is with you!" "You saw it for yourself, too! He doesn't remember who you are at all! All he knows is I'm his wife!"

Corinne scoffed. "So you kept him by your side for the past three years?

You only got this chance because he lost his memory!"

Sophia frowned. "Corinne, you're so full of yourself! Do you think he'll go back to you if he hasn't lost his memory? Well, let me tell you something. We were already together before he lost his memory!"

Corinne glared at her. "Is that so? I don't believe you. He wouldn't have gone to Molomia with you if you hadn't held the marriage certificate over him! You're taking advantage of his memory loss to lie and control him!"

Jason, too, turned to look at Corinne. "We've been so worried about you for the past three years. But I see we didn't have to. You look like you're living a really good life. You even started a new family!"

A subtle hint of mockery flashed across Jeremy's eyes. "Who's 'we'?" "Corinne and I, of course! And your other family and friends," answered Jason with a coy smile.

Jeremy narrowed his eyes. "Do the two of you often stay in contact?"

Jason shrugged and smiled. "Yeah. I mean, it's not easy for Corinne to raise so many kids alone. She needs to have a man by her side! I'd go over to keep her company and babysit the kids whenever I'm free."

Jeremy's eyes immediately became a shade darker, though his face remained expressionless.

"Jeremy, how can you still be jealous when you've already lost your memory?

Plus, you have no right to be jealous since you're together with Sophia," joked Jason with a smile.

Jeremy swept his cold gaze across Jason's probing face. After a brief silence, he said, "You better take your friend home now. My family and I have to go to the next destination."

Jason kept his gaze fixed on him. He detected a hint of warning in Jeremy's tone. After thinking about it, he walked up to Sophia and Corinne.

Benjamin stood quietly beside Jeremy. He wanted so badly to throw his arms around Corinne, but he remembered Jeremy telling him he should not make any intimate gestures with Corinne when Sophia was there. Thus, he stood obediently by his side.

Corinne and Sophia were still bickering with each other when Jason walked up to them with a smile and stood between them.

"Corinne, what are you two talking about? It sure is taking up a long time!" he said.

At that moment, Sophia was still gripping Corinne's arm very tightly to stop her from going over to Jeremy.

Corinne and Sophia both turned to look at Jason at the same time when they heard his voice.

Jason frowned when he saw Sophia's hand on Corinne's arm. "Why are you holding on to her so tightly? Just what the heck are you two women talking about?

Sophia quickened her pace when she heard Corinne's shouts. After explaining to Jeremy, she quickly wheeled him into the RV with Benjamin following behind them, and they quickly drove away.
