The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1981-Ryan's deep gaze abruptly sharpened. For a moment, his vision blurred.

"She's dead?"

"Yes… She died a terrible death. By the time someone found her body, it was nearly unrecognizable."

Dean's brows furrowed as he continued in a low voice, "The police discovered during the autopsy that someone had sexually assaulted her. She also contracted severe sexually transmitted diseases, and her lower body was severely ulcerated."

Ryan closed his reddened eyes, his hand gripping the water basin and trembling with visible veins.

"Who did it?"

"Multiple people." Dean's tongue pressed against his teeth. "After arriving in Terranova, they sent Zoe to an underground club. It was essentially a high-end brothel. The brothel primarily used girls there for the sexual service of highranking officials in Terranova. Anyone who ended up there faced the inevitable outcome of getting played to death. Even if Zoe didn't get killed outright, her final fate would've been the same."

Ryan lowered his pale eyelids.

A mix of intense, bitter, and confused emotions churned his insides, leaving him unable to speak for a long while.

He undoubtedly hated Zoe.

Even when he personally sent her off on that smuggling ship, leaving her to fend for herself in a foreign land, his heart was still burning with the flames of hatred.

However, upon learning of her tragic death, he found he could not hate her anymore. It felt as if a black, gaping hole had opened in his heart, swallowing all the love and hate he had accumulated over twenty years and dragging them into an endless abyss, never to be seen again.

"Chairman Hoffman, if I may speak frankly, you have no reason to grieve for Zoe, even if she is your sister,"

Dean's gaze was cold and filled with deep-seated hatred. "If it weren't for her, Young Madam wouldn't have ended up like this. If it weren't for her, my master and the entire Hoffman family wouldn't have suffered like this… A life for a life is no loss to her."

"Head to Terranova tonight and bring Zoe's ashes back."

Ryan spoke with a dark expression. "After that, investigate what she went through during her time there." "Mr. Hoffman!"

"Dean, I'm not seeking revenge for Zoe. The past is the past. She is dead now, and all the hatred should be put to rest."

Ryan suppressed his inner turmoil, his gaze steady. "I've heard of that underground club in Terranova. Whoever sent Zoe there must be someone familiar with the Hoffman Group. There are only two possible reasons for targeting her. It's either for revenge or to silence her."

Dean's eyes widened in realization.

"Any schemes or plots involving Zoe are now irrelevant. But I must remain vigilant in case they strike at the Hoffmans again."

Dean nodded vigorously, "Yes, sir!"

As the two finished their discussion, they noticed people from the Salvador family approaching them.

"Ryan!" Nigel greeted him with a warm smile, waving at him.

Ryan quickly handed the basin to Dean, wiped his wet hands on his trousers, and hurried over to greet him.

"Grandpa Nigel, Chairman Salvador." He bowed deeply.

"Look at this child, so polite. Even now as the Hoffman Group's chairman, you remain modest and unassuming. It's truly commendable," Nigel said with a broad smile.

Gregory, who once saw Ryan as a frivolous young man, now finds him increasingly likable as he matures.

Ryan walked into the ward with the Salvador father-son duo to visit Carrie.

Upon hearing the noise, the girl lying in bed slowly opened her tender eyes.

"Ah…"

"Carrie, my good girl…"

Nigel sat by the bed, gently holding her hand, his eyes glistening with tears as he forced a smile. CHehe!

You've gained a bit of weight. It seems Ryan has been taking good care of you. Ryan, make sure to feed her well, like a little pig!"

Dad, no girl wants to become a pig!"

Gregory interjected, "Besides she won't look good in a wedding dress that way."

Ryan stood rigidly in place, his heart pounding heavily.

"Ah… Ah…" Carrie's pale face flushed with a hint of color.

She propped herself up. Ryan quickly moved to support her, her blushing face resting against his abdomen.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1982-"Tsk, your father can't keep any secrets." Nigel dropped the pretense, his face lighting up with joy. "Ryan, to be honest, Gregory and I came here today to formally discuss your marriage with Carrie."

"Grandpa Nigel…" Overwhelmed with emotion, Ryan's breath grew heavy, and his words came out in a jumble. "Grandpa… I…"

Suddenly, his tears flowed uncontrollably, as if his tear ducts had burst.

Overwhelmed with joy, he wept uncontrollably, his tears flowing like a torrential flood.

With her frail frame, Carrie hugged him tightly. Her flushed face caught each of his burning tears.

Though she could not speak, her tender, contented gaze offered him immense comfort.

"Good girl, there's no need to say anything. I understand."

Nigel's eyes misted over as he joined the hands of the two young people. "I'm getting old, and so is Gregory. The one who can walk with Carrie until the end, who can love and cherish her all her life, is none other than you. Your days ahead will be filled with happiness."

"Grandpa Nigel, Chairman Salvador… I will definitely make Carrie… happy,"

Ryan promised, entwining his fingers with hers. Each word was a heartfelt vow.

"Ah…." Carrie knelt by the bed, gently wiping away his tears.

"Still calling me Chairman Salvador? Isn't it time to address me differently?"

As he finished the sentence, Gregory felt embarrassed and then coughed awkwardly. "Ahem, we'll discuss it further once you're officially married…"

"Dad!" Ryan called out urgently, almost impatiently.

Gregory was startled. His heart pounded loudly, momentarily forgetting how to respond.

"Tsk, can't you hear him calling you?" Nigel nudged him with his elbow.

Gregory snapped back to reality. He took a deep breath and forced a reassuring smile.

The beginning of next month was Carrie's birthday.

Ryan planned to take her to register their marriage that day and arrange a grand, romantic proposal. However, Carrie, who saw through his intentions, refused.

She did not even want a wedding ceremony.

Yasmin's presence alleviated her severe social anxiety. With Yasmin gone, Carrie retreated to her small, dark corner. Apart from her family, she was deeply anxious about interacting with others.

Given Carrie's mental state, it seemed unlikely they could hold a grand wedding.

This deeply disappointed Ryan. He would have gladly given the world to his beloved.

That evening, Ryan called Justin and Bella to vent his frustrations.

"For the two of you, the ceremony isn't really that important."

Bella sat at her dressing table with her eyes closed comfortably as Justin brushed her hair. She had the phone in speaker mode on the table. "You and Carrie have been through life and death together. The whole

world is a testament to your love.

Compared to that, even the grandest wedding would feel bland. What's ant is that you make more important is that you make Carrie feel comfortable. Other people's opinions and superficial appearances don't matter at all."

Talking about the wedding made Justin momentarily lose focus. A dull ache spread through his heart.

How could he even advise Ryan when he himself still owed his woman a grand wedding?

He owed Bella so much that nothing seemed to make up for it…

"Ah… Be gentler…" Bella softly moaned as Justin accidentally applied too much pressure when combing her hair.

"Sorry, did I hurt you?" Justin snapped out of his daze, his om breathing heavy. "Mm … It's been a bit dry lately. Let me apply some oil."

"Okay." Her voice was soft and obedient.

"Enough already… Are you two teasing me because my wife is sick and I can't do anything with her?"

Ryan's voice came through the phone, stiff and exasperated. "While you two are enjoying your marital bliss, could you at least consider the feelings of a normal man like me?"

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1983-"Pfft! Chairman Hoffman, I guess you have too much pent-up energy. Justin is just brushing my hair, but your mind is in the gutter!" Bella chuckled. She then ran her fingers through the smooth and glossy hair that Justin meticulously cared for.

"Ryan, don't rush the wedding. Just register your marriage with Carrie first.

Establishing your legal marital status is more important." As Justin suggested it, he immediately regretted it and glanced at Bella to see her reaction.

Thankfully, she did not seem to mind. She continued to apply her skincare products with a radiant smile, her delicate face glowing and inviting.

"Don't worry, I'll definitely do it this time." With deep affection, Ryan said, "From now on, Carrie will be the Hoffman Group chairman's wife."

"And your father-in-law will be Gregory Salvador. So, you can walk around Savrow with pride," Bella teased in a lazy tone.

"I won't rely on the Salvadors' resources. I can take care of Carrie and support the Hoffman Group on my own."

"If you need help, just ask. Don't try to handle everything alone." Then, Justin added seriously, "Don't forget that you have friends like us."

After a moment of thought, Bella's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Since Carrie doesn't want a grand wedding, how about a simple, family-only ceremony? I remember seeing the aurora in one of Carrie's paintings. She mentioned wanting to see it. You could have the wedding in Botvia. It's one of the best places to see the aurora! You can just invite close family to attend. This would be great for Carrie's social anxiety. You can also have your honeymoon there. That way, you'd kill two birds with one stone!"

"The aurora…" Ryan's heart ached.

Although he loved Carrie deeply, he was only now learning about her dream to see the aurora.

Love alone was not enough. As an inexperienced husband, he had so much more to learn and do.

"In these turbulent times, your priority is managing the Hoffman Group. Keep the shareholders calm and stabilize the stock price. Don't let opportunists take advantage of you."

Bella gazed softly at Justin and held his hand. "Justin and I will help you with the wedding preparations."

"Bella, you've been worrying so much about me and Carrie. When will you and Justin get around to it?" Ryan asked with genuine concern.

Though Justin and Bella's relationship was now rock-solid. They did not need a marriage certificate to prove their love. Having seen their journey, Ryan sincerely hoped they could restore their marital status and make up for lost time.

To Ryan, the most important thing was to secure a rightful title for his best friend!

Even if one day the heiress of KS Group got tired of Justin, complained about his age, and went looking for fresh, young suitors, his best friend would still have the secure status of the rightful spouse.

It was all about planning ahead!

Justin's Adam's apple bobbed as he tightened his grip on the comb.

"Let's get Carrie's wedding done first. We can wait."

After ending the call with Ryan, Bella noticed that the man behind her remained silent. She crossed her slender, fair legs, her toes playfully twirling, causing her pink fluffy slippers to dangle precariously. Her eyes sparkled like water ripples as she squinted slightly.

"Why are you suddenly so quiet, Mr. Salvador? What's on your mind?"

"I was just thinking about how beautiful your hair is," Justin replied, his large hand gently lifting her long hair, combing through it absentmindedly.

His voice was husky, low, and restrained the kind of suppressed allure that unknowingly enticed Bella. "Tsk, Mr. Salvador, you're not being honest." Bella lightly tapped Justin's neat trousers with her toes, her rosy lips curling up. "Did you hear what Ryan said earlier?"

"I heard him."

"Mr. Salvador, don't you want to secure a rightful title for yourself?" She poked his firm abs through his white shirt.

In an instant, Justin's heart raced. He felt like a prey hidden in the depths of a forest, suddenly detected by a keen hunter. His heart was beating more urgently and chaotically.

After a long pause, the man spoke, his voice hoarse. "I do…"

'Hmm? What did you say? I didn't hear you." Bella tilted her head m raising her delicate ear, her bright eyes blinking.

"I want it, Bella. I want you."

He got so nervous that he inadvertently broke the comb with his bare hands.

As Bella looked on in shock, Justin got on one knee before her. He raised his finely chiseled face with sharp brows and Starry eyes. His thin, handsome lips trembled slightly as he spoke, "Ms. Thompson, please give me a rightful title."

The woman's eyes deepened, showing no emotion.

Justin was not someone who would flinch even if the sky fell.

Yet now he was gulping nervously.

Justin said, "I'd even accept the title as your paramour."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1984-If Ryan heard this, he would tease Justin forever.

How pathetic! Justin was a tyrant in public, but a coward in private!

"A paramour?"

Bella's beautiful eyes narrowed seductively. She hooked her finger under his chin and gently lifted it. "Mr. Salvador, will you be content with that?"

"I won't." Justin's intense gaze locked with hers. The abrupt movement of his Adam's apple as he swallowed was exceptionally alluring, "But I know that I don't deserve to be your husband."

If he was not qualified, then who was?

Yet the Thompsons had always carried a certain pride. Bella's heart raced, but her lips curled into a teasing smile. "Is this your idea of a proposal?"

Justin's thin lips tightened in bitterness. He was at a loss for words.

"People propose with romantic ceremonies and luxurious rings. I've never seen anyone use a comb and a broken one at that." Bella placed her hand on her hip, feigning anger.

Justin's large hand clenched, the teeth of the comb digging into his flesh.

He recalled the time when Bella married him. There was no proposal and no wedding. She moved into Tideview Manor with just a simple suitcase.

She even wore the three-carat wedding ring he had chosen without much thought every day, as if it were a treasure.

Justin saw reminders of his failures in every instance. It was capable of drowning him over and over again.

He even dreamed of marrying her. However, even now, he could not bring himself to say the words: Marry me, Bella.

Just then, Bella's phone rang.

In the long-silent Thompson Family Secret Bureau group chat, her most stoic and taciturn elder brother had surprisingly spoken up.

[Asher: Bella, I heard Ryan is getting married soon. Feel free to let us know if there's anything we can help.

Bella laughed and quickly typed a message.

[Bella: Now hiring three groomsmen. Limited slots only! Act fast!] [Axel: Why three? Shouldn't it be four? The four of us can handle it.] [Drew: Ax, are you stupid? That extra slot is obviously for my brother-in-law. Stop acting like you own the place.] [Axel: Oh, right, right… I forgot about Justin. Hey, wait a minute, did you just say I'm stupid?!] [Drew: Bella, will there be any trivia games for the groomsmen at the wedding? Ax's brain might not be up for the task.] [Axel: Just wait until I see you! (''))

Drew immediately sent a GIF of a dog wagging its tail while sitting on a cat's face, clearly trying to provoke him.

Bella noticed that Declan had not responded, so she tagged him specifically.

[Bella: Dec, can you attend the wedding?] [Declan: Of course. I can help out if you need anything. But I'm not very close to Chairman Hoffman. Being one of his groomsmen might be a bit odd…] Indeed. After all, Declan was a high-ranking official in the military, with every move scrutinized by countless eyes.

Declan hardly knew Ryan and had only recently accepted Justin.

Being a groomsman might be too much to ask.

[Asher: Bella, don't forget about Arnold.] [Axel: Right! We're short on slots!] [Asher: You'll need a pastor, right? If I'm officiating, I can't be a groomsman.] Bella bit her lip in thought and involved Ralph in the chat.

[Bella: Ralph, Ralph! We need urgent help! Can you take a groomsman spot?] Upon seeing Bella chatting animatedly with her brothers, Justin quietly slipped out of the room. He went downstairs to cut some fruit for her and make a phone call.

In the kitchen, he skillfully arranged a fruit platter while talking to lan on the phone.

"Keep an eye on both domestically and internationally renowned auction houses. Let me know if any top- grade diamonds go on sale."

"Wow, wow, wow! Mr. Salvador, did you get inspired by Chairman Hoffman and decide to officially propose to Young Madam?!" Ian's voice on the other end of the line was brimming with excitement. "It's good to have it ready first. I'll do it if the right opportunity arises." Justin's long eyelashes cast a shadow over his eyes, his heart swollen with mixed emotions, both worry and anticipation.

"Wow… You've finally come around!" Ian was almost crying tears of joy. "Just thinking about being able to see you get married again in my lifetime makes me feel like I could happily die tomorrow!"

Justin was speechless.

It was just a remarriage, not a second marriage!

"By the way, you asked me to look into the Southern Star Syndicate matter. It took a lot of effort, but I have some leads now."

Justin's fingers paused as he replied, "Go ahead."

"The Southern Star Syndicate members are now under police surveillance because some of them are involved with drugs."

"Watson Jenkins detests drugs. For decades, he ensured his subordinates never got involved with drugs. Those who dared touch drugs ended up dead. How could anyone be reckless enough to take such risks?" Justin's eyes darkened as he spoke, his gaze heavy with thought.

"Times have changed. Watson is getting older. Besides, internal strife plagued the gang in recent years. Rumor has it that if it were not for Elias holding things together, the Southern Star Syndicate's situation might have been even worse. The underlings are increasingly discontented, seeking ways to profit behind Watson's back. Ultimately, they would split off from the main gang. This is the destiny of those in the underworld."

In truth, as a successful businessman from a prominent family, Justin had little need to concern himself with the Southern Star Syndicate's affairs. Even Watson's position was worlds apart from his. However, Watson Jenkins was Aunt Sasha's father, and Aunt Sasha was dear to Bella.

Hence, Justin could not help but pay extra attention.

Moreover, the recent death of a Southern Star Syndicate member had always seemed suspicious to him.

"No matter what type of drug it is, the symptoms of addiction are generally similar. But the person we saw last time, did he really die from drug abuse?"

Justin's gaze darkened, his brows furrowing slightly. "Why does it seem more like he suffered from a disease or poisoning?"

"Uh… It does seem odd!"

After a moment of thought, Justin's voice took on a deep, magnetic tone. "Where can I buy some?"

Ian was startled. "What did you just say?" "The drugs. Find a way to get me a sample."

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1985-In early November, Savrow welcomed its first romantic snowfall of the year.

It was also Carrie's twenty-fourth birthday.

Early in the morning, Bella cheerfully led her "styling team" to the hospital to doll up her soon-to-be sister-in-law.

Although she called it a team, including herself, there were just three people on it, adding Roza and Amelia.

Despite the small number, Roza's styling and Amelia's makeup skills were on par with celebrity styling teams.

The girls bustled into the hospital room, only to find Ryan sitting at the bedside with dark circles under his eyes, patiently feeding Carrie an oatmeal porridge.

Carrie's eyes lit up with joy when she saw her sister-in-law. Her eyes sparkled like a doe's. Unable to speak, she waved her frail hand warmly in greeting.

In the past two months, Carrie's once slim face had become slightly fuller under Ryan's care, with a faint blush replacing her usual pallor, making her look even sweeter.

Love truly was the best cosmetic for a woman.

Amelia even felt like her presence was unnecessary. Like her sister, Carrie was naturally beautiful without any embellishments. She looked as fresh and lovely as a rose in bloom.

"Bella, just wait a moment. I'll finish feeding Carrie first." Ryan apologized with a smile.

Bella quickly waved her hand, "There's no rush. Take your time. We've got plenty of it."

The man carefully skimmed the top layer of the porridge with the spoon, blowing on it repeatedly to make sure it was not too hot.

For the second spoonful, he added a bit of refreshing blueberries, concerned that the oatmeal porridge might be too bland.

His meticulous care made the three women feel like they were indulging in a feast of love, leaving them fully stuffed with sweetness.

Thankfully, they all had their own partners now. Otherwise, this scene would have been too much to bear. Roza's nose twitched as she sniffed the air. "Wow. Something smells good. What is it?"

"Oatmeal and honey?" Bella's sharper nose identified the dish immediately.

"Oh! That's my favorite!" Amelia's eyes sparkled, her stomach rumbling at the thought.

Ryan fed Carrie another spoonful before saying, "I made plenty. There's more in the thermal flask. If you haven't eaten, please help yourselves."

"You made it yourself?!" The three women were stunned.

Just then, Dean walked in with a beaming smile, carrying a complete set of high-end tailored suits for Ryan. He looked happier than if he were getting married himself.

"Chairman Hoffman personally cooked it fresh this morning. Chairman Hoffman also prepared some fruit to go with it. You should've seen it, Ms. Thompson! Our chairman's cooking skill has improved a lot!"

Ryan glanced lightly at Dean, who immediately closed his mouth but still wore an expression of admiration.

"You did all of this yourself?"

Bella's beautiful eyes widened in disbelief. "Wow, what time did you have to get up?"

"I just woke up a bit earlier than usual. This isn't the first time I've done this," Ryan replied, his eyes softening as he gently wiped Carrie's lips with a napkin.

Roza and Amelia were dumbfounded.

They had seen Ryan before, more than once. However, they could hardly believe that the man before them, who was so devoted and gentle, was the same proud and flamboyant young master of the Hoffman family.

Ryan had changed completely-his eyes, behavior, demeanor, everything! The only thing that remained unchanged was his unwavering love for Carrie.

Ryan's words resonated clearly with Carrie. Suddenly, a wave of emotion surged within her, and tears started to flow uncontrollably like strings of pearls.

The sudden outburst of emotion startled Roza and Amelia, who became flustered.

Only Bella felt the sorrow in her heart. She looked at Ryan with a complex expression.

"It's emotional incontinence." Ryan cradled his wife in his arms and gently rubbed the back of her head." But that's okay. I'll be with her, and she'll get better gradually."

Bella sighed softly.

How could Carrie ever fully recover? She faced a series of emotional blows, and she had shown immense strength by not breaking down mentally.

Bella thought she might not have been able to endure it if she were in Carrie's shoes.

After breakfast, Ryan left the room to give Bella and the girls the space to work their magic.

He went to another room to change into the suit Dean had brought.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1986-Looking at his reflection in the mirror, Ryan's rugged features-his sculpted cheekbones, deep-set eyes, and short, graying hair-evoked the image of a hardy, weathered pine tree standing resolute against a snowy backdrop. But the youthful edge he once possessed had long since faded.

Just then, a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.

Ryan walked over and opened the door.

A playful smirk played on his lips as he said, "Justin."

Justin raised his eyebrows slightly and lifted the plastic bag in his hand. "My wife sent me over to dye your hair, Chairman Hoffman."

Ryan's eyelashes fluttered as he gave a mischievous grin, a glimpse of his youthful charm shining through. "Honestly, I'm not too sure about your skills, Mr. Salvador."

"Let's give it a try. If it turns out badly, this one's on the house."

The two brothers looked at each other and smiled-a lightheartedness they had not felt in a long time.

With a barber drape around his shoulders, Ryan sat in front of the mirror while Justin stood behind him, patiently applying the dye to his hair.

Watching each white strand turn black, Ryan could not help but joke, "We promised to grow old together, but here I am secretly dyeing my hair."

"In the future, make sure to dye it regularly. Just because you're married doesn't mean you can let yourself go. My sister might lose interest in you," Justin said. He glanced at Ryan's head full of white hair, trying to sound casual, though there was a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Carrie won't mind, but I'm afraid you'll be jealous of me."

"Jealous?"

"Jealous that I have a higher rank, jealous that I look more mature and steady… Ouch!"

Justin narrowed his eyes slightly, the comb catching on a tangled patch of hair, causing Ryan to wince in pain. "Bro, calm down! I know my mistake!"

With his hair fully dyed, Ryan stood side by side with Justin in the mirror.

It felt as if they had returned to their younger days, when they were the ambitious and admired rising stars of the business world, making their grand entrance together.

"Ryan," Justin said, his voice trembling with emotion. "I feel like a father sending you off to get married." Ryan let out a hearty laugh and gave Justin a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Don't worry, an older brother is just like a father!"

On the other side, Carrie changed into a light pink dress specially designed for her by Roza.

The dress had long sleeves, a high neckline, and a full-length skirt, perfect for a winter wedding. It exuded a vintage elegance.

Bella helped Carrie get ready in front of the mirror. As she looked at her own radiant reflection, Carrie's moist eyes sparkled.

Roza, a perfectionist, instantly picked up on even the tiniest imperfection. "The chest area is a bit loose. That was my mistake."

Carrie had lost a lot of weight due to her illness, leaving her frail and thin.

"Carrie's fair complexion suits this color, and her long neck looks beautiful with the high neckline." Bella quickly tried to smooth things over, fearing Roza might take the dress back for alterations, which they did not have time for.

Amelia nodded repeatedly. "Indeed, she looks like a swan!"

Bella giggled. "As for the chest, it'll gradually fill out after marriage with her lover's nourishment." Carrie, being innocent and naive, did not fully grasp the meaning, but Roza understood perfectly. The two friends exchanged a knowing look, like a pair of old perverts.

Although Amelia was a bit naive, she now had her own boyfriend, Steven, so she quickly understood, her face flushing deeply in embarrassment.

At that moment, there was a knock on the door.

Bella quickly ran over and opened it, revealing Ryan in a crisp suit, his black hair neatly combed back, looking handsome and charming. She nodded in satisfaction. "It seems my man did a good job."

Standing behind Ryan, Justin pressed his lips together, looking a bit shy.

Bella then ushered the groom into the room.

When Ryan's eyes fell upon Carrie, elegantly dressed in the pink gown with delicate makeup, his entire world seemed to light up.

"Is this my Carrie?" Ryan asked cautiously, his voice hoarse.

Carrie blushed deeply, her heart pounding as she gently nodded.

"Carrie… You're so beautiful."

Ryan's throat tightened with emotion, his chest filling with profound joy. He moved closer and gently took her hand, clasping it firmly.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1987-Taking into account Carrie's health, the City Hall had specially arranged a private space for the couple to finalize their marriage license.

The moment the certificate was handed to her, Carrie's smile bloomed like spring flowers. She excitedly caressed the paper repeatedly with her fingers, treating it as a precious treasure, reluctant to let it go.

"Congratulations on your marriage! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and bliss!" The staff sincerely offered their blessings.

The story of Ryan Hoffman and Carrie Salvador was well-known and unforgettable, and yet, it was only just beginning.

"Ah! Ah!" Carrie's eyes gleamed with delight as she cheerfully waved the marriage license at Ryan.

"Mrs. Hoffman, please take good care of me for the rest of our lives," Ryan said, gazing at her lovingly, enunciating each word.

"Mmm..."

Carrie's cheeks flushed. She gazed at him with a dreamy look. She could not speak, but even if she could talk, he wouldn't have let her.

Ryan's eyes narrowed as he reached out, cradled the back of Carrie's neck, and kissed her passionately.

The newlyweds had their photo taken at City Hall and received it right away, with the staff presenting them with flowers.

Carrie was definitely the center of attention at the event today. The staff observed from the sidelines, whispering enviously.

Justin and Bella, who were waiting outside, saw the newlyweds emerge hand in hand. They immediately approached the couple and presented the gifts they had prepared.

"I designed these brooches myself, and I'd like the both of you to have them," Bella said, handing a brooch to each of them, like offering apples to children. "These are Alexa's creations, which are highly sought after and very valuable!"

Carrie eagerly opened the box, revealing a delicate brooch adorned with a pink tourmaline and sparkling diamonds in the shape of a bird.

Overjoyed by the thoughtful gift, she immediately stepped forward and wrapped Bella in a warm, grateful embrace.

Ryan's brooch was a lovely blue tourmaline one that matched perfectly. He couldn't help but smile, feeling deeply grateful.

"There was a time when I tried to buy an Alexa piece for $2 billion dollars, yet I just couldn't get my hands on one. But now, thanks to my wife, my dream has finally come true."

"Hmph, well, at least you realize it." Bella embraced Carrie. "By the way, Grandpa Nigel called earlier. He wants us to have dinner at his place tonight. Uncle Matt is preparing a big feast to celebrate Carrie's birthday,"

Ryan hesitated. "Bella, Justin, can I celebrate Carrie's birthday alone with her tonight?"

Justin and Bella exchanged a knowing look, understanding immediately. "Go and enjoy yourselves. I'll explain to Grandpa Nigel."

On the way back in the car, Carrie still felt a bit weak. The luxurious dress she wore had barely seen the light of day before she had to be wrapped back in a thick, plush blanket.

She curled up in Ryan's arms, tightly clutching the marriage license. Her soft lips curved into a sweet smile as she closed her eyes.

After some time had passed, the man kissed her tender earlobe and gently called out, "Darling? Darling?"

Carrie opened her drowsy eyes and looked up, feeling confused.

"Look outside the window," Ryan said.

She rubbed her eyes and turned to look out the car window, her eyes suddenly widening in surprise.

The busiest street in Savrow had all its LED screens displaying the same image at the same time.

Bright, striking words accompanied by a rain of red roses transformed the bustling concrete forest under the first snow into a romantic and dazzling sea of roses.

"At 5:00 p.m. today, Chairman Ryan Hoffman of the Hoffman Group and Ms. Carrie Salvador, the heiress of the Salvador Corporation, officially tied the knot and became husband and wife."

Pedestrians along the street took out their phones to capture this breathtaking scene.

At the same time, the news shot to the top of Twitter's trending topics, drawing the attention of millions. Tears welled up in Carrie's eyes as she slowly raised her hand, her fingers reaching out to touch the roses on the window.

As night fell, the luxurious car made its way up the mountaintop, overlooking the city of Savrow. Ryan wrapped Carrie in his arms as they admired the starry sky, captivated by the grand and dazzling fireworks display, tailored just for her. This moment made amends for their earlier mishaps.

"Carrie, that day at the amusement park, the toy dog that danced with you was me," Ryan whispered in her ear.

"Ah..."

Carrie's eyes grew wide as she pulled out her phone. With shaky hands, she began typing into her notes.

[I had a feeling... but I didn't want to get my hopes up. I was afraid it wasn't you, and that would've been heartbreaking.]

[Ryan, I have never, for a single moment, stopped loving you.]

He replied, "What a coincidence. Neither have L."

Under the starry sky, they shared a deep and passionate kiss.

Roses were only romantic as a gift, and fireworks truly dazzled when one shared them with someone

special.

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1988-The news of the Hoffman couple's marriage registration caused a sensation in Savrow and quickly spread across the country.

The heartfelt and emotional marriage, along with the fireworks display that lit up the sky solely for Carrie, made this legendary love story one to be recorded and remembered by countless people forever.

Even after the buzz died down, this scene would still appear in online searches as an unforgettable

romance.

Under the starry sky, Yvonne, draped in a black coat, gazed up at the fireworks filling the sky.

Her eyes sparkled, the cool breeze tousled her raven hair, and a happy smile spread across her face. How wonderful! Carrie finally had the chance to be with the one she loved and got her happy ending. Yvonne was a delicate flower, thriving in the shadows of a sinful world. Her existence was ill-suited for, and she could never attain such genuine affection.

At midnight, the grand fireworks display ended, and the world fell silent and barren.

Yvonne felt a void within her heart. Just as she was about to turn and head back to her room, her phone vibrated.

[Oscar: Image.jpg]

She immediately clicked on it, zooming in repeatedly. Her eyes suddenly narrowed. The photo showed a scene at night of Taylor and a familiar-looking middle-aged man walking out of a villa, chatting and laughing.

[Yvonne: One of them is Taylor, and the other is Deputy Chief Owen Hopkins?]

[Oscar: Yes, the current deputy chief of the Savrow Police Department!]

She felt a tightness in her chest, which she could not shake.

[Yvonne: He has never been to Pivotage, yet he is also a guest of the Iversons?!]

[Oscar: If I hadn't witnessed it myself, I'd have a hard time believing that the righteous Chief Hopkins is in cahoots with the Iversons! I took this photo after following Taylor for weeks. Whenever Taylor met with Chief Hopkins, he always went alone, which indicated their discussions were highly sensitive matters. Ms. Smith, this is a crucial lead! If we can dig deeper into this guy, we're bound to uncover a way to take down Christopher for good!]

Yvonne felt a mix of emotions-excitement and dread-swirling within her.

Christopher had been involved in corrupt dealings between the government and businesses back in Sentania, bribing and coercing officials to become his puppets.

Now, under the Boss's name, he was shifting his focus and spreading his influence like a virus. He started to secretly buy off the officials in Savrow. Given time, his pawns would infiltrate every level of power in Savrow. Even if Justin and Ryan joined forces, they might not be able to completely remove Christopher from the picture.

[Yvonne: Oscar, you need to stop tracking Taylor immediately. Stop before Taylor notices anything amiss! Don't investigate Chief Hopkins anymore. He has to be pretty impressive to become the police chief, so he's not an easy target! Listen to me and don't act recklessly, understand?]

[Oscar: But... We've finally caught the prime suspect...]

[Yvonne: Oscar, in my life, there are only two people who matter most to me, and one of them is you. You must stay safe! I'll handle the rest of the investigation. Don't take any actions on your own, okay?]

There was a silent pause.

[Oscar: Okay, I understand. But, Ms. Smith, may I ask, who is the other person important to you?] Yvonne's slender, delicate hand grasped the collar of her black trenchcoat as she slowly closed her eyes. She could almost feel that man holding her from behind, his warm breath accompanied by a soft, teasing laugh lingering in her ear.

All the coldness dissipated in an instant.

At this very moment in the woods outside Pivotage-Drew had been silently standing there since the fireworks began.

The night sky lit up like day, a display that lasted the entire night and was known by everyone in Savrow. Drew thought, 'Surely she would see it too.'

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1989-In Drew's life, where he was always teetering on the edge of danger, he had neither the time nor energy for a real romance, let alone any romantic gestures.

Tonight, the fireworks were beautiful. He owed that to Ryan. But with no one to share the view, no matter how dazzling the display, it would lose its insignificance.

So, uncontrollably, he thought of Yvonne. Against all odds, driven by a mysterious force, he came here despite the enormous risk.

"You must have seen it too." Drew's sharp, bright eyes were fixed on the illuminated Pivotage as he murmured, "Do you feel lonely watching this alone? I feel very lonely,"

The news widely reported Carrie and Ryan's marriage.

Nigel was in an excellent mood as he scrolled through his phone. He even had two extra servings of pasta for dinner.

Though he understood that Carrie was still recovering and conditions were not ideal, as the doting grandfather of his favorite granddaughter, he naturally wished for her to become the esteemed matron of the Hoffman family.

After all, their family was renowned and respected, emphasizing extravagance and tradition.

Justin and Bella stayed with Grandpa Nigel after dinner and chatted happily with him, envisioning Ryan and Carrie's future happiness.

"Hey! Matt! Bring out the things I prepared!" Nigel said with a broad smile, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.

Soon, Matt came over with a smile and handed a document to Nigel.

Nigel placed the document in front of the young couple. "Here, take a look at this list of gifts I prepared for Carrie."

Justin picked up the document and started reading it, while Bella, sitting close to him, curiously leaned in, their heads almost touching.

The list clearly detailed the properties, land, shops, luxury cars, private jets, and even a small portion of shares in the Salvador Corporation that Grandpa Nigel was giving to Carrie.

The most valuable among this list was the shares. With the Salvador Corporation doing so well, Carrie would enjoy substantial annual dividends even if she did nothing!

"Wow... Carrie is going to become a little rich lady!" Bella licked her lips enviously. "If I ever go broke, I'll just freeload off of Mrs. Hoffman!"

"With me around, how could you ever go broke?" Justin smiled indulgently, kissing her smooth forehead. "I won't let you suffer, even if it means I have to beg on the streets."

Bella found his words silly, but her face still turned red as she shyly leaned against his shoulder.

"Who said you'd have to beg... It makes me sound so spoiled."

Seeing the sweet and loving couple, Nigel could not help but laugh heartily. "Haha! Even if my grandson had to beg on the streets, he would become the leader of the beggars, and Bella, you would still be the most esteemed lady!"

Justin frowned and laughed. “Grandpa, you really think highly of me."

"Haha... Bella, you don't need to envy Carrie. If you saw the gift list I prepared for Justin, all the women in Savrow would be jealous of you!" Nigel winked repeatedly at Justin.

Justin understood, sitting upright. His heart was pounding, and his handsome face was slightly flushed." Grandpa..."

Bella's heart trembled. Her face turned red, and she was unsure of what to say.

That was when her phone rang. It was Ralph calling.

"Grandpa Nigel, I need to take this call."

Bella left the living room and walked into the quiet hallway.

"Ralph, what's wrong?"

"Bella, I saw Ian at the police station. What's going on?!" Ralph's voice was filled with urgency.

"Police station? What happened?" Bella was utterly shocked.

"He's suspected of drug trafficking and was arrested by the police on the spot!"

The Divorced Heiress Revenge Chapter 1990-Justin and Bella quickly said goodbye to Nigel and rushed off with Steven, speeding toward the police station.

"Justin, did you cause this mess?!"

Bella, sharp and insightful, got right to the point. Her eyes narrowed angrily at Justin's dark, gloomy face. "I know what kind of person Ian is. He wouldn't dare disobey you, let alone touch that stuff! Did you ask him to buy drugs?!"

Justin grasped Bella's delicate fingers, his eyes red as he looked at her. "Bella, I did ask lan to buy it, but I didn't think he'd do it himself..."

Bella yelled, "You're such an idiot!"

Steven, both anxious and angry, slammed the steering wheel. "Even celebrities in the entertainment industry have their agents handle this stuff to keep their distance and avoid ruining their careers. Ian was brave to buy it himself in such a risky manner! Does he think the Savrow police are just sitting idly by? Doesn't he know that Sav row has recently launched a strict crackdown on prostitution, gambling, and drugs?!"

Bella's palms became sweaty, and her heart felt heavy and anxious. "That's not even the worst part. Everyone in Savrow knows Ian is your secretary. If this gets out, whether he takes all the blame or not, people will still think you're the one behind it, suspecting you of being a drug addict!"

Justin's brows furrowed deeply, and his eyes turned red. He was not worried about facing criticism or being the target of a scheme. Rather, he was terrified that Ian would take all the blame.

"This could blow out of proportion. Christopher must be laughing in his sleep! He didn't have to lift a finger and relied on your foolishness!"

Bella was so anxious she could hardly think straight. "Justin, if you needed something, you could have told me. I could have asked Aunt Sasha to handle it. After all, she has connections with the Southern Star Syndicate. If that's not possible, you could've told Ryan, who has ties on both sides of the law! But you should have been upfront with me instead of keeping me in the dark. You also shouldn't have dragged lan into this mess. One wrong move and you could be in serious trouble!"

"I messed up here." Justin held her hand as he said, "You can hit me, scold me, or vent your anger on me later. But right now, we need to focus on getting lan out."

"You don't need to tell me that!" Bella glared at him furiously, struggling to free her hand from his grip, but she could not break loose.

At the police station, Ian and the man who sold him drugs were held in separate interrogation rooms, being questioned individually. Despite the police's relentless pressure, Ian sat expressionless, mechanically repeating the same sentence, "I won't say anything until my attorney arrives."

The officer interrogating lan scoffed, his tone aggressive. "You don't have much to say anyway. You were caught red-handed with drugs on you. With the other guy's confession, the evidence against you is solid. Even if Mr. Salvador shows up to bail you out, you won't be walking out of here! If you confess now, we'll consider it a voluntary surrender and try to get you a lighter sentence. But if you refuse to admit it, it'll only make your situation worse!"

Another officer said coldly, "This isn't like the old days. We rely on concrete evidence, not just confessions. Don't think staying silent will save you. As long as the evidence is concrete, we can still

prosecute you!"

Ian's heart pounded like a drum, but he maintained his composure. "I've been framed. I want to see my lawyer!"

The two officers gritted their teeth, preparing for yet another round of questioning when the interrogation room door was abruptly pushed open.

Dressed in a sharp suit, Steven entered with a stern expression, his voice firm and authoritative. "I'm

Steven Lovett, Mr. Harris' attorney. From this moment on, any questions you have can be directed to me. My client has the right to remain silent."

Ian and Steven exchanged a knowing glance, a glimmer of hope igniting in Ian's somber gaze.

Meanwhile, the air in Ralph's office was tense. "Handling Ian's case is going to be difficult."
