“Theodore, what’s going on? Why are you panicking?” Denzel scowled at Theodore’s frantic state.

“Dad, I just received news that Leon was released by the Dragon Corps,” Theodore blurted out with a dark.

“Leon’s out? How’s that possible?!”

Denzel gasped in shock and Walter jumped from his bed.

“Theodore, what’s going on? Leon killed Harold Lowe, so how can the Dragon Corps just let him go like that?

Walter questioned darkly.

“I don’t know the details, but from what I heard, the Dragon Corps said that Leon contributed exclusive medical treatment methods to the country and they pardoned him from the punishment,” Theodore explained.

Both Walter and Denzel were stunned.

They heard about the times when Leon revived Iris from the dead and woke Albert from a coma, so they both knew that Leon was an extremely skilled doctor, but they never expected such skill to be used in a way that allowed Leon to escape punishment.

“Damn it! He sure is lucky!”

Instantly, they were both frustrated beyond description.

They were fantasizing about how Leon might be locked away for decades or even for the rest of his life, yet the reality proved them wrong.

“Grandpa, what should we do? Leon has already eliminated Harold and the Lowes. We might be next on his list! He’s in the Advanced Overlord State and it’ll be hard for us to defend ourselves from him,” Theodore said worriedly.

Leon was the Fields‘ biggest enemy and one had to perish for the other to survive, so Leon would eventually

seek revenge on the Fields for attacking him repeatedly.

“He wants to get rid of us? No way! Theodore, have you forgotten that we have your sister’s help?” Denzel

sneered.

“Dad, are you referring to Lilith and the Lapwoods?” Theodore instantly realized what Denzel was talking

about.

He had an elder sister named Lilith, who married the second son of the Lapwoods from Solum City, Sean

Lapwood a few years ago.

Lilith and Sean studied at the same university and dated since then, so they naturally got married after

graduation.

“That’s right!”

“The Lapwoods are far more powerful than us and if they are willing to interfere, they will be able to eliminate Leon for us!” Denzel narrowed his eyes slyly.

Springfield City was merely one of the cities within Solum County and the Lapwoods were an influential family in Solum County in general. Though Leon became the top martial artist in Springfield City, he would be vulnerable in front of a powerful family like the Lapwoods.

“Denzel, it’s not as simple as you think!” Walter shook his head, “Sean’s only the second son of the Lapwoods and he doesn’t have much of a say. I’m afraid the Lapwoods won’t interfere with the internal matters of Springfield City for his and Lilith’s sake.”

Walter knew that Springfield City and Solum County belonged to two different regions and under the watchful eyes of the Dragon Corps, people in Solum County could not interfere with matters in Springfield City. On top of that, Sean was not the heir of the Lapwoods, so the Lapwoods would never fight Leon for the

sake of Sean and Lilith.

“Dad, they might not have helped us if it was in the past, but things are different now, I received a call from

Lilith two days ago and she said the eldest son of the Lapwoods was in an accident and Sean has been named the heir! So long as Lilith manages to convince her husband, the Lapwoods will be on our side!“

“What?! Is that true?” Walter asked in excitement.

“Yeah!” Denzel nodded.

“That’s great! Even the odds are in our favor! Denzel, contact Lilith right away and get her to talk Sean into handling Leon!” Walter burst out laughing.

“Of course. I’ll call Lilith later and get her to come to Springfield City with Sean,” Denzel said.

In the following days, Leon obtained another herb that grew for three hundred years to treat Louisa and Louisa regained consciousness since then.

Leon and Ruth worked hard to care for her and her condition steadily began to stabilize.

Meanwhile, Iris spent the days with Leon lazing around since too much happened lately, so the burden of managing Elegante Group fell upon Ariel’s shoulders.

Since everything with the Youngs finally settle down and Louisa was well taken care of by Leon and Ruth, Iris returned to work and put everything in order with Ariel’s help.

Instantly, peace returned to the house and they got to enjoy a few peaceful days.

One afternoon, Iris came home from work with a frown on her face as she walked into the living room.

Leon just checked on Louisa and ran into her as he walked out of the room.

“Iris, what happened? Did something happen at work?” Leon asked in confusion when he saw the dark look

on Iris’s face.

“Yeah. There’s some problem with the raw material,” Iris sighed and sat on the couch in exhaustion.

“What happened?” Leon asked as he walked to stand behind Iris. He started to massage her head and Iris’s exhaustion slowly melted away.

“Well,” Iris proceeded to explain.

The raw materials purchased by Elegante Group were monitored by Ashwin. Ever since Leon bought Elegante Group and fired Ashwin, the supplier seemed to be upset with Leon’s action and decreased their supply to Elegante Group.

At this point, the raw material in Elegante Group’s stock house failed to fulfill the demand for the products

and would not last for another week.

“I see!” Leon muttered in annoyance.

The supplier Ashwin worked with was problematic as the quality of the raw material they supplied fell short.

Leon was the one who worked with Mister Wallace to improve the quality of the material to resolve the crisis. Because of that, he was always unsatisfied with the supplier but only stopped himself from interfering because Ashwin was in charge.

Before Leon had the chance to terminate the contract with the supplier, they grew arrogant and schemed to undermine Elegante Group, which was something that Leon refused to tolerate.

“Iris, the raw material provided by this supplier isn’t that great anyway. Let’s just terminate our contract. with them and find a new supplier!” Leon said.

“Yeah. That’s what I’m thinking as well! I plan to go on a business trip tomorrow to check out the cities. around us in search of a new supplier,” Iris nodded.

Though there were two raw material suppliers for cosmetic products in Springfield City, they were both too small to fulfill Elegant Group’s demand.

The supplier Ashwin worked with was found in a different city, and if Iris wished to find a different supplier, she would have to travel out of Springfield City as well.

“Sure. I’ll come with you!” Leon smiled.

As the president of Elegante Group and Iris’s boyfriend, he naturally had to go with Iris.

“Where are you two going to have fun? I’m coming along!” Ruth shouted gleefully as she stepped out of her room with a big grin on her face.

“Iris and I are going out to search for suppliers, not to have fun. Why would you come along?” Leon rolled his eyes at her.

“A business trip is just like a normal trip! I’m sick of staying home. I want to go out with you!” Ruth insisted.

“No way! Louisa hasn’t fully recovered yet and needs someone to look after her. Just stay home with her.” Leon rejected her without hesitation.

Ruth did not respond and simply stared at Leon unblinkingly as though she looked at a fool.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Leon felt uncomfortable.

“Leon, are you an idiot or something? You and Iris are Louisa’s cousin and future cousin–in–law! As her family, you’re leaving and you want to order me, who isn’t related to her in any way, to take care of her? Do you think I’m just going to listen and do as you say?” Ruth said impatiently.

“Well,” Leon was instantly rendered speechless.

“It’s fine, Leon. If Ruth wants to go out, let’s bring her along,” Iris said.

“What? If she comes along as well, what about Louisa?” Leon said.

“It’s fine. I’ll call my aunt and get her to come here tomorrow morning to take care of Louisa for the next few days,” Iris suggested.

“But, oh, alright, then,” Leon said hesitantly.

“What is it? Is there something else you want to say?” Iris noticed the hesitant look on his face.

“I don’t know how long this trip is going to take, so I want to inform Cynthia about it,” Loen said.

He once promised that he would pay Cynthia visits more frequently, but he was too occupied with taking care

of Louisa. Louisa’s condition improved, yet he had to follow Iris out of the city for a few days, so he felt the need to talk to Cynthia before leaving to keep her from worrying.

“What are you talking about? Besides, this is between me and Cynthia. How is it any of your business?” Leon glared at her.

“It might not be my business, but it’s Iris’s! Iris, did you hear him? He’s cheating on you! Give him hell!”

Ruth said.

“Um,” Iris hesitated awkwardly, before ignoring Ruth and saying, “Leon, go see Cynthia, and don’t stay out too late.”

“What?!” Ruth’s jaw dropped.

She thought that Iris would be angry and would give Leon a hard time; to her bewilderment, not only did not blame Leon, she allowed him to see Cynthia.

“Iris, have you gone mad?” Ruth gaped at Iris.

“No,” Iris shook her head.

“But,” Ruth muttered.

“Mind your own business! Iris, I’ll go see Cynthia and come back right away.” Leon ignored Ruth and turned to leave.

Iris watched as Leon left calmly, but Ruth could not keep her composure. “Iris, what’s going on here? Are you seriously okay with Leon going to see another woman?”

“It’s fine. Cynthia has sacrificed a lot for Leon and, normally, Leon wants to inform her that he is leaving on a trip,” Iris said calmly.

“But, those two came close to getting engaged! Everyone knows how Cynthia feels about Leon. Aren’t you. afraid that they are going to get back together?” Ruth questioned in disbelief.

“It’s fine. Nothing else matters as long as Leon stays by my side,” Iris said before heading upstairs.

“What the “Ruth was utterly stunned.

Though Iris did not spell everything out, Ruth realized what Iris tried to say.

Iris and Cynthia were the two most beautiful women in Springfield City and were the dream women of all men, yet they swallowed their pride for Leon’s sake.

‘How’s this even possible?‘ Ruth thought to herself, ‘have those two gone insane, or am I the crazy one here?”

Countless thoughts crossed her mind as she questioned everything that she knew.

Meanwhile, inside one of the rooms in the Shear Mansion.

Cynthia picked up her phone to call Leon but hung up before she could reach him when she recalled how

cruel he was to her.

“Damn you, Leon Wolf! It’s been days and you haven’t come to see me at all!” Cynthia gritted out.

A few days ago, Leon came to her to ask for ingredients to be used in the medicine for Louisa and he was in such a hurry that she did not have the chance to talk to him at all.

Cynthia thought that Leon would have come back for her soon, but he was nowhere to be seen in the past few days.

She kept calling Leon and hanging up before the call was connected, and after some time, she finally lost patience and called Leon once again.

“Ting–a–ling!”

Just then, she heard a crisp sound coming from her wind chimes.

She froze and snapped her head around to find Leon standing behind her while looking at her with a half- smile.

“Leon? It’s you! Am I dreaming?” She gaped in disbelief.

“Of course, not,” He chuckled and approached her.

“Yay! You’re finally here!” Surprised, Cynthia threw herself into his arms.

She was just dreaming about Leon and he somehow materialized right before her eyes, so she was excited beyond words.

“Um,” Leon gently pushed Cynthia away awkwardly.

Once she calmed down, Cynthia asked in confusion, “Leon, why are you here?”

“Oh, there’s something I need to tell you,” He said hesitantly.

Before he could finish, Cynthia interrupted him. “Is that so? There’s something important that I need to tell you as well!” She beamed at him.

“What is it?” He asked.

“I just heard from my brother that a five–hundred–year–old Snow Lotus has surfaced in Seacove City and will be sold in the auction that’s taking place three days from now,” Cynthia explained. She wanted to call Leon countless times before, wanting to inform him about it.

“Really? That’s great!” Leon was overjoyed, as herbs that grew for over five hundred years were extremely rare. If he could obtain it, he could be able to produce more Pure Energy Pills.

He was too weak at the time he produced the last batch of Pure Energy Pills, so he only managed to produce Basic Pure Energy Pills that could help martial artists in the Peak Innate State reach the Realm of a Supreme

Master. However, since Leon already reached the Intermediate Foundation Phase, he could even temporarily

rise to the level of Intermediate Overlord State.

With his current strength, he was more than capable of producing the Advanced Pure Energy Pills which was at least five times more effective than the Basic Pure Energy Pills. “Grandpa, Dad, why are you doing? I’ve made peace with Leon. Can you stop treating him this way?” Cynthia said, feeling depressed that Leon left.

“Made peace? Leon still refuses to leave Iris Young up until now. Are you going to be his mistress?” Brad roared in rage.

He ran into Leon and Cynthia seeing each other in secret and could already tell at the time that Leon intended to date two women at the same time; most importantly, his daughter, Cynthia, seemed to approve

of that.

‘How ridiculous! As the eldest unwed daughter of the Shears, she will bring shame to this family if she continues to be with Leon without being his girlfriend!‘ Brad thought to himself.

“It’s not,” Cynthia was at a loss for words.

“Harvey, from now on, get two guards to guard the door. Cynthia’s grounded for three days. Let’s hope she reflects on her actions!” Benedict commanded.

He spoiled Cynthia all along, but her willingness to be Leon’s mistress was simply something that even Benedict could not tolerate.

“Grandpa, please don’t,” Cynthia muttered in despair, but Benedict simply turned and left with Brad and the other elders.

Soon, she was left alone with Harvey.

“Harvey, you’ve always spoiled me! I want to go to Seacove City with Leon tomorrow. I’m begging you. Please let me go with him,” Cynthia grabbed onto Harvey’s arm and pleaded.

“Cynthia, why would you do this to yourself? You know very well that Leon is Iris’s boyfriend and you’ll never win his heart! Just listen to Grandpa and reflect upon your actions inside your room!”

“You’re looking for suppliers for Elegante Group? Isn’t that perfect?” She said.

“Perfect?” Leon froze.

“You dummy! Seacove City is abundant in resources and there are a few suppliers of raw materials used in cosmetic products there! You can head there with Iris and get that five–hundred–year–old Snow Lotus along the way! You get to kill two birds with one stone!” She rolled her eyes at him.

“That’s right! I didn’t even think of that! I’ll do that!” Leon beamed.

“Leon, purchasing the Snow Lotus and producing Pure Energy Pills are a part of Cynthion Group’s operation. Why don’t I go to Seacove City with you and Iris?” She batted her eyes sweetly.

“Um, okay, then,” Leon agreed. Since Iris and Cynthia accepted each other’s existence in the love triangle, he did not have to worry about them fighting and had no reason to stop Cynthia from coming.

“Great! I’ll pack now and we will all depart for Seacove City tomorrow morning,” She said gleefully.

When she turned around, she was surprised to find Harvey standing by her door with a dark expression.

“Harvey? W- Why are you here?” Startled by his sudden appearance, the grin on her face froze.

Instead of answering her question, Harvey simply said sternly, “Cynthia, you’re not going to Seacove City with Leon tomorrow!”

He overheard part of their conversation.

“Why not?” Cynthia pouted.

“Why? Did you forget how he dumped you at the engagement party?” Harvey questioned sharply.

“Harvey, that’s all in the past. I’ve made peace with Leon now,” Cynthia said hastily.

“You’ve made peace?” Harvey gaped, “what do you mean? Is he willing to leave Iris and come back to you?”

“Well, no,” She muttered, not knowing how to respond.

“No? How did you two make peace, then?” He asked in confusion.

“Geez! Harvey, this is my matter and I’ll handle it. Can you just stay out of it?”

Cynthia said wilfully.

“No!” Harvey scoffed and glared daggers at Leon coldly. “Leon, this is your last chance. You’ll either leave Iris and come back to Cynthia, or you’ll stay away from Cynthia from now on! Make your choice!”

“I’m sorry, Harvey, but I’ll never leave Iris. As for Cynthia, I owe her far too much to leave her behind as well, “Leon said hesitantly.

“What? So you’re just going to date them both at once?” Harvey roared.

“I don’t mean to date two women at once. I just don’t want to hurt Cynthia,” Leon sighed.

Ever since he witnessed how twisted Cynthia became after he left her, he decided that he would never hurt. her again after all that she did for him.

Iris was the woman he loved and he only saw Cynthia as a great friend of his. If possible, he wanted Cynthia to find a better man and leave him behind, so that the situation could be resolved without him having to hurt her feelings.

Naturally, this was just Leon’s wishful thinking and no one knew what the future held.

“Nonsense! Leon, I don’t care about what you think. You’re not welcome here. Please leave at once!” Harvey roared.

Since Leon was not willing to leave Iris, there was no point in further discussion.

“Harvey’s right!” Benedict shouted as he strode in with Brad and a few other skilled martial artists of the family.

“Leon Wolf, you have snuck into our house time and time again, coming and going as you, please! Do you take us for weaklings that you can bully?” Benedict questioned sharply.

He heard from Brad that Leon snuck into the Shear Mansion once and was caught by Brad.

Benedict was merciful and understanding for not punishing Leon for calling off his engagement with Cynthia, yet Leon challenged their authority by sneaking into their house repeatedly.

“Elder Shear, don’t get upset. I know that I’ve wronged Cynthia and the Shears, but I never meant to hurt you. I’ve always wanted to make it up to you and all I want is a chance. I can do whatever you ask,” Leon said sincerely.

Though he made peace with Cynthia, the Shears were yet to forgive him for the mistake he made and his only wish was to make peace with the Shears as well.

After all the help he received from the Shears, his heart would never be at peace until the Shears forgave him.

“It’s not possible!” Benedict scoffed, but the dark look on his face eased slightly at Leon’s sincere tone.

Still, the Shears would never allow Leon to date Cynthia while he was with another woman and there was no way that the Shears would forgive him unless he left Iris and returned to Cynthia.

Harvey sighed and turned to leave Cynthia’s room.

Shortly after, he arranged for two guards to guard Cynthia’s door, before leaving.

“Why is this happening?” Cynthia was devastated as she listened to the distancing footstep.

“Snap!”

Just then, she heard a noise and saw a figure leaping off the balcony, before slipping into the room.

“Who is –” Startled, she was about to raise her voice, but the figure darted up to cover her mouth.

“Shh! It’s me, Cynthia,” Leon whispered and let go of Cynthia.

“Leon, why are you back?” Cynthia was surprised and overjoyed to see Leon again, as she did not expect Leon to return so soon after leaving.

“I’m worried about you, so I turned around,” Leon smiled.

He only pretended to leave to avoid conflict with the Shears and the Shears would have never expected him to turn back around.

“Really? I’m so happy?” Cynthia beamed as joy instantly replaced the devastation in her heart.

“Cynthia, not so loud! Don’t alert the guards,” Leon reminded her.

Since Benedict and the others caught them meeting in private, it would be horrible if they catch Leon and Cynthia in the same room yet again.

“Oh, give me a moment!” Cynthia went to grab the remote controller and turned on the television inside her room, before turning up the volume to cover the sound of her talking to Leon.

“What should I do now, Leon? Grandpa just grounded me for three days and I might not be able to come with you to Seacove City,” Cynthia muttered gloomily.

“Um, maybe you should just stay. Iris and I are going anyway, and I’ll do my best to get the five–hundred- year–old Snow Lotus,” Leon said hesitantly.

“No way!” Cynthia pouted. She wanted to go with Leon not just because of the Snow Lotus, but also because she missed Leon dearly and wanted to spend a few days by his side.

“What else can we do, then?” Leon asked with resignation.

He wanted to take Cynthia to Seacove City with him, but the Shears were against it and even grounded

Cynthia for three days over it, which was something he could not resolve.

“Leon, why don’t we elope?” Cynthia suggested in excitement.

“What?! Elope?!” Leon gaped.

“Yeah! You’re surely capable of sneaking me out of here,” Cynthia said with anticipation.

“Not happening!”
