“Is this Griffin carving a Mystical Dragon Jade?”

“From the lighting and the shine, the quality of this carving is incredible!”

Even though I’ve never seen the Mystical Dragon Jade before, I’ve been fortunate enough to see a Dragon Jade in my youth. The color of this carving is a bit deeper than the jade I saw in my youth. The shine on it is quite radiant, and it’s similar in quality to a Dragon Jade in every way. It checks off all the unique attributes of the Mystical Dragon Jade,” Oscar said calmly.
“So Mister Gray has seen a Dragon Jade before!”
“He is the top expert in the Southern region. He’s seen everything!”
The young men around there realized something as they praised.
“Of course! With Mister Gray’s ability and specialization, no one can compare to him in the Southern region!
“Seth let out a pleased smile.
Oscar was specially invited over by him. With Oscar receiving praise from everyone there, it served to bolster his pride as well!
However, it was not like every person there agreed with Oscar’s view. Raphael was an expert on Jades himself. He knew many high–end replicas had very similar attributes to the real thing. On top of that, Oscar just saw a Dragon Jade before and never saw a true Mystical Dragon Jade, so he was still a bit doubtful.
“Mister Wolf, what do you think?” Raphael asked Leon after looking over.
Earlier, all of the experts already expressed their opinions. Leon was the only person who was silent the whole time. He wanted to ask Leon for Leon’s opinion and see if Leon could provide any valuable insight!

The young men there all started to laugh as they looked at Raphael and Leon in disdain.

It was not just that!
He had a Mirror of Sovereign with him. Back then, the light and the energy coming from the mirror were at least a hundred times stronger than the carving. There was no comparison between the two of them!

“Mister Wolf, can you please stop? Have you not embarrassed us enough?!” Raphael said unhappily. He hurriedly stopped Leon to stop Leon from continuing to anger everyone.
“Fine then!”
Leon was helpless when he felt that no one believed him.
“It’s fine, this guy is just an idiot!”
“Let’s start the auction! Ignore him!”
Seth and the others had looks of disdain on their faces. After that, they looked toward the carving again.
“I’ll announce the official start of the auction!”
“This jade carving will start at forty–three million dollars. The minimum increase will be five million. Those who wish to bid please name your price,” The Black Gorilla officially announced.

However, even though they knew that the griffin carving was something incredibly valuable, they still did not know what the effects would be. 130 million was just an incredibly high price. Quite a few of them hesitated for a moment, and were forced to give up on the bidding!
“I’m bid a hundred and fifty–eight million!”
At that moment, Raphael named a price.
“Don’t!”
Leon was shocked. He was in a hurry to stop Raphael, but it was already too late!
“I’ll bid a hundred and seventy–two million!” Seth sneered.
Raphael was his mortal enemy. There was no way he could just watch as such a valuable treasure fell into. Raphael’s hands. After that, they did not even bother thinking about it. They immediately increased the price!

Raphael was the same as well. He prepared to continue increasing the price but was suddenly stopped by
Leon next to him.

Gilbert took the suitcase from Davian’s hand and said to Kisa in a flat voice, “It’s time to board. Let’s go.”
Without waiting for her response, he dragged the suitcase and walked away.
Kisa glanced at his back and turned to Kelvin. “Take good care of Gracie. I’ll go check on her when I come back.”
“Mhm, have fun in Oceanville.” Kelvin watched the retreating figures and suddenly exclaimed,” Thinking back now, Kisa had it rough. We were biased against her after all.”
“Hiss! Mr. Hoover, what are you doing? Are you getting sentimental since you’re about to become a dad?”
“Get lost, you don’t even have a girlfriend. You don’t understand anything.”
“I have a girlfriend. I have Felicity, even though she hasn’t talked to me in days. She’s definitely just busy.”
Kelvin was speechless.
Kisa almost ran to catch up with Gilbert. He walked too fast with his long legs and the distance. between them widened again before she could catch her breath.

Kisa quickly grabbed his arm and said, “Can you let me catch my breath?”
As Gilbert tightened his brows and grew visibly troubled, Kisa held onto his arm, leaning in close. From behind, they looked like a loving couple, inseparable and intimate.
Kisa took a deep breath and spoke up. “Gilbert, when I was pregnant for the first time, I didn’t feel uncomfortable or experience morning sickness. I took good care of myself.”
The only thing that was bad was that she cooked every day, waiting for him, but he never came back.
“Why are you telling me this? To make me feel guilty? Or are you afraid that I will feel guilty?” Gilbert’s lips curled up in a cold, emotionless smirk.
Kisa lowered her eyes and muttered, “It is not to make you feel guilty, nor am i afraid of you feeling guilty. I’m just saying
Gilbert glanced at her, then withdrew his arm and walked away. Kisa watched him leave for a
while until her vision blurred, and he impatiently called out to her at the boarding gate, “If you don’t want to go, you can leave now.”
Taking a deep breath, Kisa walked over, trying to keep a calm face. Gilbert had booked first-class tickets, and the plane was relatively empty. Once on board, she leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes, not wanting to say anything, as she knew whatever she said now would be wrong.
The plane had not taken off yet, and Gilbert was on the phone. “I’ll leave the company’s affairs to you for the time being. Be more careful, and if there are any major issues, let me know.”
Perhaps it was because the cabin was too quiet, Kisa faintly heard the voice on the other end of the phone. It sounded like Davian’s voice.

“Alright, I’ll do it then! If this treasure isn’t a fake, I’ll make sure to beat your mouth rotten today so you pay the price for your hubris!” Seth had a sharp glint in his eyes.
Raphael was his mortal energy. He wanted to get rid of Raphael, but Raphael had the support of the Thompsons, so he had no way to do anything to Raphael without a reason!

“A Golden Thread Jade! So the carving is an incredible fake made with a Golden Thread Jade!” Raphael was
shocked to see that.
Even though he never saw the Mystical Dragon Jade that was extinct for so long before, as someone within the industry, he knew the other jades very well!
After the carving in Seth’s hands dimmed, he could immediately tell that it was a valuable Golden Thread Jade!
A Golden Thread Jade was about the same level as an ice–clear jade.
It was not cheap, and quite rare as well. So, it was usually not easy to identify.
The carving was faked as a Mystical Dragon Jade using a Golden Thread Jade. No wonder it fooled everyone’s eyes!

“What a complete idiot!”
Raphael could not help but look over in disdain when he saw Seth trying to stand up to the Black Gorilla.
The Southern Boss was a tyrant in the underworld. There were barely any major families who could stand up
to him!
Yet, Seth was merely the heir of the Golans. Was he not an idiot for thinking he could argue against the Black Gorilla?!
“Alright, today’s auction is ending! Everyone, please go home!” The Black Gorilla announced. After that, he turned around to leave without sparing Seth a second glance.
“Mister Black Gorilla, please wait!” At that moment, a sudden voice was heard. An old man who was close to sixty and dressed in attire that made him look like a farmer hurried over.
“Old man, who are you?” The Black Gorilla stopped and measured the old man.
“Sir, I’m a treasure hunter. Recently, me and two other friends went deep into the ancient ruins in the mountains and found a treasure. I wanted to sell it to the black market. You can even help me auction it off,”
The old man explained briefly before taking out a red bag.
“Treasure?”
Leon, Raphael, and the others were just about to leave. The moment they heard there was treasure, all of them stopped in surprise.
After that, they looked at the old farmer. The farmer carefully opened up his bag to produce a green bead the
size of a fist.
It was unclear what the green bead was made out of. It looked like jade, but not. It looked like a gem, but it was not. There was a shiny outer layer, but it had very low transparency. It looked like something made by a machine. It was unassuming.
“Old man, what treasure is this? What can it do?” The Black Gorilla asked.
“I don’t know,” The old man shook his head.
He and two of his friends spent a great deal of effort to obtain the bead. After that, they looked into it for a few days, but never found out how to activate the bead or even its effects. Otherwise, there was no way he would have tried to sell a treasure like that so easily!
“How much do you want to sell it for?” The Black Gorilla asked.
“I was thinking about nine million dollars,” The man said after some hesitation.
“What? You’re thinking about making so much from such an unassuming bead? Do you think we’re idiots here?!” The Black Gorilla felt very annoyed.
“I don’t-”
“Sir, please believe me. We managed to find this bead in a cave residence of some ancient hero. Even though I don’t know what it can do, I can assure you, it’s a treasure,” The old man said sincerely.
“What kind of treasure is that?!”
“I feel like it’s just a Luminous Pearl!”
At that moment, one of the men dare started to laugh.
“Yes, that’s true, it does look like one!”
“It’s probably even a man–made one. There’s no way it’s natural!”
The others nodded and agreed.
In ancient times, technology was not as advanced, so Luminous Pearls were quite expensive. They were considered prized possessions.
Natural ones were incredibly valuable as well!
However, with the advancements in modern society, research revealed that Luminous Pearls were just made with a relatively rare kind of stone. It was possible to manufacture it through science. So, the price of it fell drastically!
Of course, natural ones were still quite valuable. There could be sold for hundreds of thousands, but natural ones were usually dim and gray.
The one in front of them was green, so it was not even natural. It was just a low–leveled manufactured pearl. It was probably worth thousands at most. There was no way it could be worth as much as nine million!
