“Damn it!” Wade’s expression darkened.
He wished to join forces with the other Libertons to defeat Leon, only for Leon to divide the group with ease with just a few daggers.
On top of that, Leon possessed a defensive tool and Wade knew that he could not win against Leon; however, he assumed that Leon’s true power fell short and could not compare to his in terms of speed and explosive power, so he could simply utilize his superior speed and Leon could not be able to catch up to him.
Wade instantly withdrew his attack and backed away from Leon as he plotted to regroup with the others to launch another attack, only to be stunned by what happened next.
“Stay down!” Leon scoffed and darted toward Wade, before landing a blow at his shoulder.
“Snap!”
Following the crisp sound of bones cracking, Wade grunted in pain and was instantly sent flying.
He spat a mouthful of blood and lost the ability to fight as agonizing pain radiated throughout his body from his shoulder. He was fortunate enough to avoid the attack from hitting his chest, or he would have suffered even worse injuries.
“How’s that possible?!” Wade lay sprawled across the ground and gaped at Leon.
He thought that Leon was powerless against him and did not expect Leon to be far superior in terms of speed, leaving him no chance to escape before Leon struck.
It was beyond his understanding and he could not begin to fantom how Leon managed such a thing.
What he did not know was that Leon rose to the Semi–Emperor State and surpassed him in both speed and power, so it was only natural that he failed to dodge the attack.
“Now, it’s your turn!” Leon did not stop and launched two Double Attacks at once with both his palms at the remaining Liberton martial artists.
“Let’s combine our energy to fend this off!”
The five Libertons were terrified as they realized that they were no match for Leon.
They swiftly combined their energy to form a far more powerful attack, before using it to counter Leon’s
attack.
“Baam!”
There was only one person in the Peak Overlord State and the remaining four were in the Advanced Overlord State, so they all fell short when facing Leon, who was in the Semi–Emperor State.
They narrowly canceled out Leon’s spiritual energy, but failed to do the same for Leon’s true energy on the second wave and were instantly sent flying into the distance.
They all spewed blood as they slammed hard onto the ground.

Jaws dropped when Benedict and the others saw how swiftly Leon defeated the six Libertons.
They stood in shock as they gaped at Leon in disbelief.
To their knowledge, Leon was in the Advanced Overlord State before he left Springfield City, yet to their bewilderment, he made another great leap of strength in a month to the point that even the combination of two martial artists in the Peak Overlord State and four martial artists in the Advanced Overlord State could not defeat him.
Everything pointed to the conclusion that Leon likely reached the Semi–Emperor State.
Martial artists often required years of hard work to reach the next power level, but Leon reached the Semi- Emperor State from the Advanced Overlord State in a month.
Instantly, everyone was stunned.
Meanwhile, Crowley was furious when he saw how Leon injured Wade and the other Libertons.
“You little bast*rd! I’m going to kill you!” He roared and attempted to launch himself at Loen, only to be stopped by Patrick.
“Crowley, take this!” Patrick roared and struck toward Crowley.
In ordinary families like the Scammells and the Libertons who owned methods in the Basic Power class, the Initial Emperor State was the best that one could achieve. However, with the help of Leon and his Thousand Gods Method, Patrick managed to reach the Intermediate Emperor State, which made him stronger than Crowley.
Considering the rivalry between the Scammells and the Libertons that lasted for years, he wished for nothing more but to eliminate Crowley.
“You asked for this, Patrick!” Crowley was enraged by Patrick’s interference and cast the thought of seeking revenge against Leon aside, before focusing his energy on Patrick instead.
“Baam!”
Their energy slammed together and Crowley remained unmoving, whereas Patrick was forced to take a small step backward under the impact.
“The Intermediate Emperor State? You are in the Intermediate Emperor State as well?! How is that possible?! “Patrick’s jaw dropped.
He focused on telling Leon to run and did not pay much attention to Crowley’s energy. It was not until their energy clashed that he realized Crowley reached the Intermediate Emperor State as well and it completely caught him off guard.

“Nothing is impossible! You’re in the Intermediate Emperor State, so why can’t I achieve that as well? I’ve long reached the Intermediate Emperor State a few months ago. You just don’t know about it!” Crowley sneered.
The training method in the Libertons belonged to the Basic Power class and it was challenging for one to reach the Intermediate Emperor State with it. However, there was an exception to everything.
Crowley was a talented martial artist and with a little luck, he managed to get a breakthrough and reached the Intermediate Emperor State a few months ago, which gave him the confidence to eliminate Leon and the Scammells.
He did not expect Patrick to be in the Intermediate Emperor State as well, but since Patrick just reached the level a few days ago, his power fell short before Crowley and would only cause Crowley more effort into defeating him.
“Fergus, I’ll take care of Patrick! Kill Leon!” Crowley shouted at Fergus.
Once Fergus eliminated Leon, he could circle back to help Crowley with defeating Patrick and the Scammells would be doomed.
“Okay!” Fergus shouted and leaped into the air toward Leon’s direction.
Just then, Patrick realized that Leon did not leave and was frustrated by the sight. “Leon, why are you just standing there? Take Iris and run!”
He wanted to stop Fergus to buy Leon more time but was stopped by Crowley before he could do so.
“Patrick, after being rivals for so many years, it’s time that we settle our score! Take this!” Crowley scoffed and launched at Patrick.
“Damn it!” Patrick’s expression darkened and was forced to focus on Crowley instead.
He knew the extent of Leon’s power after Leon succeeded in defeating Anderson and Bill, who were in the Intermediate Emperor State, so he was not worried for Leon’s safety as he knew that Fergus could not defeat Leon. What concerned him was that the Scammells were outnumbered and were barely holding the Libertons
off.
Once the line of defense collapsed, Leon would be outnumbered, causing him to expose Iris and the others to danger, which was why Patrick urged Leon to leave repeatedly.
However, Leon was far too stubborn to leave and Patrick felt helpless about it.
“Leon, let’s go!”
“It’s now or never!”
Benedict and George gaped when they saw Fergus approaching because they could sense that Fergus was in the Initial Emperor State, which made him even more powerful than Wade and the other martial artists who attacked earlier.
Even though Leon managed to reach the Semi–Emperor State, he could not possibly hold a candle to
Fergus’s power.
“It’s fine. It’s just the Initial Emperor State. It’s nothing!” Leon snorted and instead of backing away, he began to step toward Fergus.

“Is Leon going to fight his opponent with the Potential Energy Force?”
Benedict and George studied the confidence on Leon’s face and realization dawned on them.
They all saw what the Potential Energy Force was capable of and witnessed the scene where Leon defeated Orvald Lapwood with it.
However, despite the terrifying power of the Potential Energy Force, it was merely a tool and not Leon’s true power and none of them knew if Leon had other tricks up his sleeves.
“Die, bast*rd!” Fergus closed in and sneered viciously as he charged at Leon.
“You dare to flaunt when this is all you are capable of? Know your place!” Leon scoffed and struck.
“You must want to die, kid!” Fergus narrowed his eyes ferociously.
Since Leon was wielding his spiritual energy, Fergus could not determine Leon’s power level but jumped to the conclusion that Loen was at the Semi–Emperor State judging from his speed and explosive power.

Hence, he assumed that Leon was foolish for facing him directly and strengthened his attack with the determination of crushing Leon with a single blow.
“It’s over!”
“Has Leon gone insane?”
Benedict and George were stunned and their hearts sank.
They were confident that Leon would use the Potential Energy Force against his opponent and were all surprised that Leon decided to face Fergus with his power.
Leon was only in the Semi–Emperor State and could not possibly rival Fergus, who was in the Initial Emperor State.
Instantly, their hearts were filled with concern.
“Great!”
“Kill the little bast*rd!”
Contrary to the others‘ concern, Crowley and Wade were both excited. They both resented Leon and kept their eyes trained on him the entire time in the hope that Fergus would kill him.
Before they could celebrate their imagined success, what happened next shook them to their core.
“Baam!”
Fergus’s powerful energy pierced through Leon’s attack and the remaining power rushed toward Leon.
Leon titled his body to take the blow with the Mirror of Sovereign, before launching the Double Attack with his true energy in the Initial Supreme State at Fergus’s chest.
Fergus spewed blood from his mouth under the impact and was instantly sent flying off to the distance; a sharp pain pierced through his chest and he realized that Leon broke at least a few of his ribs.

“How’s that possible?”
The crowd gaped.
The Libertons, Scammells, and the others all stared at Leon in disbelief.
They all thought that Leon was only in the Semi–Emperor State and did not think that it would be possible for him to defeat Fergus, who was in the Initial Emperor State.
To their bewilderment, not only did Leon fend off Fergus’s attack, he managed to cause great damage to Fergus with a single blow.
It was so surreal that none of them would have believed it to be true if they did not see it with their own eyes.
Crowley and Wade were both hopeful that Fergus would destroy Leon and avenge Willie, only to be disappointed by the reality. The hope that reignited within them was instantly put out.
“No! This is impossible! This isn’t happening!” Fergus covered his chest and fumbled to get up in disbelief.
He could distinctively sense that Leon was only in the Semi–Emperor State, with far inferior speed and explosive power compared to him, yet Leon somehow managed to defeat him.
For a moment, Fergus was confused and struggled to accept what just happened.
“It’s my turn now, old twat!” Leon scoffed and charged toward Fergus while he was down.
“You!” Fergus paled.
He already saw what Leon was capable of and dared not to face Leon directly again, so he tried to maintain a distance from Leon while gritting through the pain throughout his body. Despite being slightly superior in speed and power compared to Leon, he suffered severe injuries and lost the will to fight.
Leon’s Double Attack was powerful and unpredictable, so Fergus soon found himself cornered and was left in the defensive position.
“What the! Leon’s so strong!”
Benedict and George widened their eyes and gaped.
After parting from Leon for a little over a month, it would have already been a miracle if Leon rose from the Advanced Overlord State to the Semi–Emperor State, but never if they imagined that they were underestimating Leon.
Judging from the strength Leon displayed, he surpassed the Semi–Emperor State and reached the Initial Emperor State, or he would not be capable of cornering Fergus.
“Just stay down, old man!” Leon sneered and completely shifted to an offensive position, entrusting the Mirror of Sovereign to defend his body, before landing strike after strike at Fergus.
“Damn it!” Fergus paled and his heart sank as he realized that he was running out of stamina.

Just then, Crowley decided to abandon his duel with Patrick when he saw that Fergus was in danger, and leaped toward Leon’s direction.
“Die, you little bast*rd!” He roared and gathered his energy to form a powerful attack at Leon’s back.
“How despicable!” Patrick gaped. He did not expect Crowley to attack Leon and did not have the time to stop
him.
However, Leon was a capable martial artist who defeated two Martells in the Intermediate Emperor State, he was not overly worried.
“Leon, watch out!” Iris, Cynthia, and the others shouted.

Benedict and George, who sensed that Crowley was a martial artist in the Intermediate Emperor State, paled at the sight.
Judging from what they saw so far, Leon was in the Initial Emperor State at best; since Crowley was on a higher power level and had the element of surprise, Leon could not possibly survive the blow.
Worried, they all prayed that Leon would dodge the attack in time.
“Take this, kid!” Fergus stopped backing away and charged toward Leon as well to prevent Leon from dodging or escaping Crowley’s attack.
Instantly, Leon found himself being ambushed in both directions with no chance of escaping.
“Know your place!” Leon scoffed and ignored Crowley, before launching a Double Attack at Ferus.
“Baam!”
Following a deafening sound, the Double Attack sent Fergus flying and despite the impact of slamming against the group, Fergus sneered with blood oozing from his mouth. He desperately wanted to burst out laughing, because he knew that his sacrifice gave Crowley the chance to close in on Leon.
Unless there was a miracle, Leon would die from Crowley’s attack and as he anticipated, Leon had no time to summon a counterattack, so he tilted to the side and allowed the attack to land on his chest.
“Die!” Crowley sneered viciously and seized the opportunity to strike.
“It’s over!”
“Leon’s going to die!”
Benedict, George, and the others froze at the sight.
Since Leon was in the Initial Emperor State, he would not lose his life so long as he tried his best to dodge the attack; however, Leon ignored Crowley to defeat Fergus and put himself in danger by taking a blow to his
chest.

Contrary to their despair, Wade was overjoyed and beamed. “Great! It’s over!”
He knew that Leon possessed a defensive tool, but he assumed that it only contained power at the Peak Overlord State, which could not possibly withstand the attack from a martial artist in the Intermediate Emperor State.
Believing that Crowley would split Leon in half with his attack, all the Libertons were excited.
Once Leon was eliminated, the Scammells would be at an absolute disadvantage and would be powerless before the Libertons..
However, what happened next caused them to freeze in shock.
“Baam!”
Crowley’s energy struck Leon in the chest but did not injure Leon or even move him at all.
“You’re the one who is going to die, old man! Take this!” Leon scoffed and seized the opportunity to strike back.
“Wh- What on earth is this?!” Crowley gaped as he did not imagine in his wildest dream that Leon would be able to withstand his attack.
If he did not see it with his own eyes, he would have never believed it to be true.
He was at the end of his momentum and had no time to dodge Leon’s counterattack.
As Leon struck, Crowley refused to accept his fate and titled his body to the side at the very last moment to prevent Leon’s attack from hitting his chest.
“Snap!”
Following the sound of bones breaking, Leon’s fist landed on his shoulder and sent him flying into the
distance.
Crowley spewed blood from his mouth and the bones in his shoulder were completely shattered. Fortunately, he managed to survive by taking the blow with his shoulder instead of his chest.
“How’s that possible?!”
Everyone at the scene, including Benedict, George, and the Libertons, was stunned by the undeniable strength Leon displayed.
They all thought that Leon was bound to die, but were amazed by the miracle they witnessed before them.
For some reason, Leon managed to withstand the attack and turned the tables around by injuring Crowley instead, which shook everyone to their cores.

“T- That’s not possible! Can it be that the tool Leon has isn’t in the Peak Overlord State, but in the Emperor State?” Wade mumbled to himself as realization dawned on him.
Leon was only in the Semi–Emperor State and there was no way that he could withstand an attack from Crowley unless the defensive tool was at the same level of strength as Crowley.
He realized that he underestimated Leon and his defensive tool, so he immediately informed Crowley about it. “Dad, the defensive tool Leon possesses might be in the Emperor State.”
“What? Wh- Why didn’t you say that earlier?” Crowley was instantly enraged and was frustrated that Wade. did not think of mentioning it until both he and Fergus were severely injured.
If they knew about it, Leon would have never been able to defeat them with such ease.
“I just guessed it!” Wade paled.
He once managed to injure Leon when he first fought Leon, so he assumed that the defensive tool Leon possessed was in the Peak Overlord State and did not expect its power to rise to the rank of the Intermediate Emperor State.
It was so far beyond his expectation that he could not understand what happened.
What he was unaware of was that the Mirror of Sovereign was no ordinary treasure, but a super treasure that was strengthened by the wielder’s power. If the Libertons were aware of it, they would not have been defeated by Leon.
“Elder Scammell, Uncle Damian is losing. Go help him and the others! I’ll take care of this old twat!” Leon shouted toward Patrick, before closing in on Crowley once again.
After taking two powerful blows from Leon, Fergus completely lost the ability to fight and once Crowley was eliminated, the rest of the Libertons would fall apart.
“Alright!” Patrick noticed that Damian and the other Scammells were struggling as well and instantly joined them to fight the Libertons.
The Libertons started with a definite advantage and most of the Scammells suffered various degrees of injuries.
Out of fear of the Dragon Corps, none of the Libertons dared to kill anyone, so none of the Scammells died in the battle, which was fortunate for the Scammells.

As Patrick re–entered the battle, the spirit of the Scammells rose and since Patrick was the only one in the Intermediate Emperor State, he managed to defeat most of the Libertons.
Despite having the advantage of numbers, the Libertons began to lose the will to fight after Crowley and Fergus were defeated.
Soon, the situation began to play to the Scammells‘ advantage.
“Draw back!” The three elders of the Libertons realized that they were losing and ordered the others to
retreat.
The Libertons instantly obeyed and backed away.
“It’s fine. Don’t bother chasing after them!” Patrick stopped a few Scammells who wanted to go after the Libertons.
Over half of the Scammells who came suffered severe injuries and Patrick knew that he would not be able to eliminate every last Liberton even if he went after them with the remaining members of the Scammells.
On top of that, the ones who retreated were ordinary members of the family and whether Leon won was the most important.
Crowley was the head of the Libertons and their spiritual leader, so the Libertons would naturally admit defeat once Leon succeeded in eliminating Crowley.
On the opposite, if Leon failed to do so, the situation would remain dangerous for the Scammells.
Meanwhile, Leon was absorbed in a heated duel with Crowley.
Though one of Crowley’s arms was broken and he was suffering intensive internal injuries, he still had the strength to fight even though Leon had the upper hand.
Leon had the Mirror of Sovereign and did not need to waste any energy in defending himself, so he showered. Crowley with relentless attacks without giving Crowley the chance to rest.
Crowley tried to fight back, but his attack did not affect Leon in any way.
The difference in strength was so distinct that he was soon cornered.
“Damn it!” Crowley’s expression darkened.
He knew that his injuries were holding him back and he would be disabled if he continued to fight Leon. Hence, he decided to back away and attempted to escape from Leon with his superior speed.
“You aren’t getting away!” Leon sneered as he was prepared for it.
He sent three daggers flying and they pierced through the air as they darted toward Crowley.
“Damn it!” Startled, Crowley rolled on the ground and narrowly escaped the daggers.
“Prepare to die!” Leon seized the opportunity to launch a Double Attack on Crowley.
“Get over yourself, brat! I’ll take you down at all costs!” Unable to escape, Crowley gritted his teeth and managed to fend off the first wave of spiritual energy, but failed to cancel out the second wave of true energy.
Just as the energy wave was about to land on him, he raised his arm and threw a bag containing transparent powder at Leon’s face.

“Baam!”
Leon’s second wave of true energy sent Crowley flying and he lay sprawled across the ground with blood oozing from his mouth. “Wh- What just happened?” He muttered.
Just as Leon tried to deliver the finishing blow, Crowley released a bag of transparent powder that had no
color or scent.
“The Veratrum poison!” Leon’s expression darkened as he recognized that it was the Veratrum poison, which combined the poisonous properties of multiple plants. He immediately held his breath, but it was already too late.
He already accidentally inhaled the powder, so he immediately pressed into the compression points around his chest and shoulders to seal them, actively preventing the poison from infiltrating his organs.
“Haha! I didn’t expect you to know about the Veratrum poison. Not bad!” Crowley coughed and glared at Leon with a ferocious look.
He happened upon a recipe claimed to be for the Veratrum poison a few years ago, and was slightly surprised that someone as young as Leon would know about the poison.
“Crowley, so the Libertons were the ones who poisoned Damian!” Patrick was enraged as he marched over with the other Scammells.
Ever since Damian was injured by the Libertons, his legs slowly became paralyzed and Leon diagnosed that it was caused by a poison named Veratrum poison, so Patrick assumed that the Libertons were not involved.
It was not until this moment that he realized the Libertons were the ones who poisoned Damian.
“That’s right! I just meant to test how effective the poison was, and it did not disappoint!” Crowley fumbled to get up despite the pain of his injuries.
He happened upon the Veratrum poison and did not know if the recipe was true, so he experimented on Damian and since all the symptoms Damian showed afterward matched with the ancient record of the poison, Crowley decided that the recipe he obtained was real.
“It’s just a slow–acting poison! It’s foolish of you to use this poison against me, old twat!” Leon scoffed.
He knew that the Veratrum poison was a slow–acting poison that was invented in ancient times that could lead to a slow, but definite death. There was extremely hard to treat because the symptoms were hard to notice and there was no official antidote for it; however, the poison took effect for years and the victim would not be in life–threatening danger until one to two years after being exposed to it. With everything that Leon inherited from his ancestor, he could easily remove any poison from his body as long as he was not killed on the spot.
“Who told you that it’s a slow–acting poison? Let me tell you the truth. The poison I dosed you with isn’t the Veratrum poison, but the Deadly Veratrum poison! Unlike the ordinary Veratrum poison, this poison kills its victim immediately!” Crowley sneered viciously.
