“Iris, we shouldn’t delay the signing of the contract. I’ll go over to the Hughes Group right now. I’ll leave the matters that have piled up in the company to you,” Leon said.
“Yes, alright. Go ahead,” Iris said with a smile.
“Snow, let’s go!” Leon called out to Snow.
Snow’s position was his assistant, so he naturally needed to bring Snow along if he went to sign the contract
at Hughes Group.
“Yes, just wait a moment. I’ll go print out the contract,” Snow said, quickly printing out the company’s
information and two sets of the contract.
“Leon, can I go with you?” Roanne asked with some hesitation.
“Why would you want to go?” Leon was surprised.
Snow was his assistant, so it was normal for Snow to go with him. However, Roanne was Iris‘ assistant, so he did not understand why Roanne would want to come with them.
“I–I’ve been quite bored in the company for the past few days. I just wanted to outside with you,” Roanne said bashfully while she pulled at her clothes.
Ever since Leon saved her over and over, she started to like Leon quite a lot.
On top of that, she did not see Leon for the past few days. She just wanted to get closer to Leon by going to sign a contract with him, wanting to be with Leon for a bit longer.
“Oh, come along then,” Leon quickly answered, not thinking too much about it.
After all, it must have been hard for Roanne to be there alone for the past few days. Since Roanne wanted to go out, he had no reason to reject her.
After that, he, Snow, and Roanne left the company together.
John was also with them. He was Roanne’s guard and tasked with Roanne’s safety.
At the Hughes Group’s massive building, a man about thirty years of age was inside the manager’s office. He looked handsome and well–mannered and sat in front of the table.
He was the heir of one of the major families in the Southern Region, the Hughes. His name was Darius Hughes, and he was the General Manager of Hughes Group.
In front of Darius stood a young man about twenty–seven years of age. He looked quite handsome, but there was a hint of arrogance in his eyes.
He was the vice manager of the Hughes Group, Gordon Bailey. He was also related to Hughes by marriage, the husband of Darius‘ sister.
“Gordon, I was asked by Yuri Thompson two days ago for a favor! The Thompsons invested in a high–end cosmetics company, and want to work with the Hughes Group. I’ve already agreed to work with them! I have something urgent that needs me to head out. If the Thompsons come over to sign the agreement, then make sure to treat them well. Sign the contract for me as well,” Darius said.
The Thompsons were the head of the major families in the Southern Region, and more powerful than the Hughes were. Furthermore, Yuri was quite good friends with him.
Since Yuri had a favor to ask of him, he did not want any problems to happen..
That was why he deliberately instructed Gordon on what to do.

“What? Could they be from the Thompsons?” Gordon quickie stood up in shock.
Even though Darius already told him that the Thompsons could be coming to sign the contract, it was an agreement between Yuri and Darius two days ago.
Since the Thompsons did not show up for two days, he thought that they might not show up this day as well.
Yet, right as Darius left, someone came over to talk about working together.
It was just too much of a coincidence. It surprised him quite a bit!
“I’m not sure, the man calls himself Leon, the chairman of Elegante Group. I don’t know if he’s related to the Thompsons,” Sarah answered truthfully.
“Elegante Group?” Gordon frowned, looking a bit uncertain.
The name Elegante Group sounded quite foreign. He never heard about it within the market at all, so he did not know if they were from the Thompsons!
Furthermore, the Hughes were the largest distributor in the Southern Region. Many companies wanted to
work with them!
There was no way to determine if they were from the Thompsons just because they wanted to talk about working together!
However, for the sake of safety, he needed to go see them regardless of whether or not they were from the Thompsons. He needed to find out who they were!
“Miss Lynn, have the guards send them to the guest room. Make sure to treat them well! I’ll go see them. right now!” Gordon said.
“Yes,” Sarah answered before leaving.
In the guest room, Leon and the others walked in after being brought over by the guard and Sarah.
“Mister Wolf, please wait here. Mister Gordon will be right over,” Sarah smiled politely. After that, she poured Leon, Snow, Roanne, and John some tea, making sure to treat them well.
“Yes, that’s fine. Thank you,” Leon thanked her with a smile.
Not long after that, they heard some footsteps outside. Gordon walked over in his suit with two of the company’s executives behind him, entering the room.
Right after that, Leon and the others stood up to greet them.

When she saw Gordon, Snow’s face suddenly changed dramatically. Her mind suddenly went completely blank, as if it exploded.
Gordon was the same. When he saw Snow beside Leon, his expression immediately stiffened!
“Mister Wolf, let me introduce you, this is our company’s vice manager, Mister Bailey.”
“Mister Bailey, this is Elegante Group’s chairman, Mister Leon Wolf,” Sarah made some introductions, not noticing the strange atmosphere.
“Mister Bailey, hello. I’m Leon.”
Leon did not notice Snow’s strange demeanor either. He had a friendly smile on his face.
However, before he could even finish, Gordon interrupted him.

“Snow, it’s been a long time! I can’t believe I’m meeting you here!” Gordon said in disbelief. His eyes were fixed on Snow, completely ignoring Leon.
“Snow, do you know this guy?” Leon was shocked to hear that.
After that, he looked at Gordon before looking at Snow again. He looked curious, unable to figure out how Snow know the man.
“I don’t know him! He’s just a scumbag!” Snow’s face paled. She bit down on her lips as her eyes completely frosted over. She slowly regained her calm.
“A scumbag?” Leon was taken aback, completely confused by Snow’s answer.
“Snow, what happened in the past was all my fault, but I had my difficulties too,” Gordon said with a sigh. There was a melancholic look in his
eyes.
Thanks to his handsome looks, made him look quite attractive.
“Difficulties? Who are you trying to fool with that?!” Snow said coldly. Her eyes were full of disdain.
The person in front of her was no one else but her university classmate, Gordon. He also happened to be her ex–boyfriend!
She studied in Sky County during her university days. With her stunning looks, some many rich scions and heirs were after her, and Gordon was one of them!
Back then, Gordon pursued her for over two years before she was moved by his sincerity and accepted his advances.
Initially, it was quite a good relationship.
However, she discovered that Gordon had other women behind her back out of coincidence, and he even had several relationships could at the same time. He was just despicable!
She was furious and immediately broke up with Gordon before leaving the university and going back to Springfield City.

Personal relationships were a private matter. He did not know what happened between Snow and Gordon.

“Dream on!” Gordon was furious. He hit Leon’s contract away.
Even though Darius already told him that the Thompsons could be sending someone over that day, he still knew of Snow’s background. She was just an heiress of an insignificant family from Springfield City. There was no way they would be related to the Thompsons, the head of the Southern region!
Furthermore, he never heard of Elegante before. He never saw Leon or Roanne in his circles before either!
So, he was sure that Leon and the others could not be from the Thompsons!
Since that’s the case, there was no reason for him to be polite!

However, Gordon was just taking it too far. He was insulting Snow like that!
There was no way Leon could tolerate that!

After he fell to the ground, Gordon clutched his chest in pain. He looked at Leon in disbelief!
He thought that he was an incredibly strong fighter, standing amongst the top of those at his age. Other than some direct descendants from major families, he rarely had anyone who could oppose him!
Yet, he never would have dreamed that he would be defeated by a young and insignificant man like Leon. He was even injured from just one blow!
That was just unbelievable!
He was filled with shock at that moment, unable to accept the cruel reality!
On the other hand, Sarah never expected Leon and Gordon to start fighting just like that. An ordinary person like her was naturally scared stiff. She already hid in the corner at some point. She panicked a little, not knowing what to do.

Gordon was elated to see the two men appear. After that, he hurriedly scrambled over as if he was saved, but he was quickly stopped by Leon.

He planned on letting Gordon go for now, and seeing what would happen!

Norin and Nolan were both stunned. They exchanged looks of surprise with each other.
It was obvious that the two of them never expected that Leon would let Gordon go!
It completely stunned them just from the surprise alone!
Of course, they were not the only ones who were stunned. Gordon was as well. He did not expect Leon to let him go so easily!
He felt like he was dreaming!

With a violent clash, Norin’s attack broke through Leon’s spiritual energy and went right for Leon’s body.

Norin clutched his chest in pain as he climbed up, looking at Leon in disbelief!

Even though he did not know how Leon defeated Norin, he still had a vague impression.
