Iris, Cynthia, and the others gasped as they did not expect Leon to take Henry in without hesitation.
They immediately pulled Leon aside.
"Leon, have you gone mad? The Scarlet Thief is only of the eight most notorious criminals. He is a ruthless murderer! Taking Henry it will only cause us trouble!” Snow said.
"Yeah. Leon, you need to reconsider this!"
Iris, Cynthia, and Ruth agreed along.
Though they all knew that Leon was resourceful, Leon mainly focused on training with sage art so none of them had a precise understanding of which level Leon was in.
They assumed that Leon was in the Emperor State at best and since Henry mentioned that the Scarlet Thief was in the Intermediate Almighty State, they did not think that it would be possible for Leon to stand a chance against the Scarlet Thief.
If Leon insisted on taking Henry and in doing so, crossed Scarlet Thief, he would be digging his own grave and they refused to stand idly by while he did so.
"Snow, Iris, relax! I know what I'm doing. Don't worry!" Leon smiled.
While others might be afraid of the criminals, Leon was not.
Though the eight criminals were all extremely powerful individuals, Leon succeeded in killing two of them, including Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder.
Since his overall strength took a great leap from the past and reached the Intermediate Almighty State, he did not see the Scarlet Thief, who was in the Intermediate Almighty State as well, as a threat.
On top of that, he obtained a Nine Suns Flower from Alfred not long ago and owed the Dragon Corps quite an amount of contribution points because of that. If the Scarlet Thief dared show up, Leon could take the opportunity to earn more contribution points and pay his debt.
"But," Snow, Iris, and the other two opened their mouths to argue, but Henry intervened before they could say anything.
"Mister Wolf, forget it if Cynthion Group isn't in any position to take me in. I don't want to cause you any trouble," Henry said in disappointment.
He did not have much hope that Leon would take him in, to begin with, and after hearing what Snow and the others said, he knew that he should simply give up and leave to prevent causing Leon and his comrades any trouble.
"No way! Henry, I've already agreed to take you in. Don't worry. I'm a man of my word!" Leon said with determination.
"Mister Wolf, a-are you sure?" Henry questioned in disbelief.
He did not expect Leon to stand by his decision and could not believe what he was hearing.

"Of course! It's settled!" Leon said.
"Thank you, Mister Wolf. Thank you for taking us in," Henry snapped out of it and bowed at Leon.
He tried seeking refuge with a few powerful families in the past, but no one was willing to take him in out of fear of the Scarlet Thief.
Not only was Leon not scared of the Scarlet Thief, but he also offered a place to stay for Henry despite the others' protest.
Henry felt both moved and grateful.
Since Cynthion was a rising enterprise and Leon was a young man who did not come from any ancient lineage of martial artists, Henry did not think that Leon could get rid of the Scarlet Thief. However, Henry learned from the sales drive that Leon was close with the Thompsons and the Hughes; on top of that, the Scarlet Thief was still actively being hunted by the Dragon Corps and would not dare to show himself without reason.
Even if Leon could not kill the Scarlet Thief, it would not be overly challenging for him to provide Henry a sanctuary and that was all that Henry wanted.
"You're welcome, Henry! If possible, can you tell me what happened between you and the Scarlet Thief?
"Leon asked, feeling curious as to how Henry managed to cross the Scarlet Thief."
"Well, it all started with an Ultimate Power method," Henry sighed and began to explain.
He used to be a free-willed martial artist and a treasure hunter whose name was rather known in the community.
Over a decade ago, the Scarlet Thief was also a treasure hunter and crossed paths with Henry and another treasure hunter. The three formed a team to enter a certain historical site in search of treasure.
After risking their lives, they managed to obtain an Ultimate Power method and since that was considered the most powerful class one could find in the southern region, the existing ones all belonged to influential families like the Thompsons and the Hughes.
Hence, the Scarlet Thief turned against his teammates in the end out of greed as he wished to keep the method to himself.
Thankfully, Henry and the other treasure hunter were both formidable martial artists and did not suffer severe wounds from the Scarlet Thiefs sudden attack.
After a fierce battle, they managed to injure the Scarlet Thief severely and blinded him in one eye, but the Scarlet Thief succeeded in escaping with the Ultimate Power method in the end.
A grudge was established that day and the Scarlet Thief hid
from everyone to start training with the Ultimate Power method.
Five years ago, the Scarlet Thief reached the Almighty State with the help of the Ultimate Power method and returned to seek revenge on Henry and the other treasure hunter for blinding him.
Henry was taken by surprise and apart from his granddaughter, the other seven members of his family all died at the hands of the Scarlet Thief.
Scarlet Thief did not stop there and continued to hunt Henry as he was looted and murdered along the way.
His power level soon rose to the Intermediate Almighty State and he soon became extremely difficult to deal with.
There were times when Henry wanted to risk it all and avenge his family, but the Scarlet Thief was simply too strong.
Feeling disheartened, Henry desperately wanted to go into hiding so that he could focus on training to see if he could reach the Almighty State as well before he sought revenge.
However, he could not do so because his granddaughter, Sherlyn Yates, was traveling alongside him.
He might be fine with hiding, but he did not want his granddaughter to waste her youth hiding from people.
Hence, Henry had no choice but to stray from place to place to avoid the Scarlet Thief.

"The Scarlet Thief did that?! He deserves to be skinned alive for that!" Enraged, Leon slammed his palms against the table, shattering it into pieces.
Not only did the Scarlet Thief act on greed to steal the Ultimate Power method he found with others, but he also murdered almost every member of Henry's family.
Even as an outsider, Leon was infuriated by the Scarlet Thiefs ruthlessness.
"Yeah. Henry and Sherlyn Yates must've suffered a lot."
Iris, Snow, and the others all looked at Henry sympathetically with tears in their eyes.
"Leon, if it's possible, try your best to help them out," They said.
Women tended to be more sentimental; though they were worried for Leon and did not wish for Leon to take Henry in, their view on the matter changed drastically after hearing what happened to Henry and Sherlyn Yates.
The four of them were no longer against Leon's decision and wished that Leon could save Henry and Sherlyn Yates from being tormented by the Scarlett Thief any longer.
"Don't worry. Leave it to me! If the Scarlet Thief dares to show his face, I'm going to capture him and hand him over to Henry!" Leon promised.
"Thank you, Mister Wolf, but the Scarlet Thief is in the Intermediate Almighty State and there's only a selected few in the southern region who might be able to rival his strength. All I ask is that you give me and my granddaughter a place to stay. I'll change my name and work for you. If you need anything, say the word and I'll risk my life to deliver it to you," Henry said earnestly.
He knew that the most powerful martial artists in the southern region at the moment were the Southern Boss and Arthur, who both reached the Advanced Almighty State.
However, even they might struggle in killing the Scarlet Thief, let alone a young man like Leon.
Henry knew that it was unlikely for Leon to stand a chance against the Scarlet Thief and that Leon was merely trying to console him.
Since the Scarlet Thief was being hunted by the Dragon Corps, he would not show his face easily and so long as Henry changed his name to serve Leon, the Scarlet Thief might not be able to find him.
Should all fail, Henry was prepared to risk his life to fight the Scarlet Thief, knowing that Leon would take good care of his granddaughter.
He mainly came to Cynthion Group to seek refuge for his granddaughter and did not mind if he died at the hands of the Scarlet Thief since he lived long enough.

"Hide your name? That won't be necessary! Don't worry, Henry. Just stay by my side and I'll handle the Scarlet Thief!" Leon said casually.
"What?! That won't do!" Henry gasped in shock.
Realizing that Leon might not have a realistic idea of how powerful the people on the criminal list were, he said hastily, "Mister Wolf, you might not know this, but the Scarlet Thief is formerly referred to as the Single Eye Scarlet Thief and Scarlet Thief is just the short form of that! He's ruthless and vindictive, so he won't spare anyone who gets in his way! If I work for you with my real name, he will hunt you down as well!"
"Is that so? Don't worry, Henry! I've no concerns about getting involved. My only concern's that the Scarlet Thief might remain in the dark instead of showing his face!" Leon sneered maliciously.
It was easier to face an attack that was directed at him when he could see it coming. Since he already took Henry, he would have to eliminate the Scarlet Thief as soon as possible.
Leon wanted Henry to work for him using his own name and to draw the Scarlet Thief out so that he could get rid of the Scarlet Thief once and for all.
If he continued to let the Scarlet Thief remain in the dark, it would be dangerous as he did not know when the Scarlet Thief might decide to make a move on Henry.
"Leon, do you plan on drawing the Scarlet Thief out and killing alongside the members of the Dragon Corps?" Iris came to realize what Leon was plotting.
Like the others, Iris did not think that Leon was powerful enough to kill the Scarlet Thief either and figured that he might want to use Henry as bait, before ambushing the Scarlet Thief alongside the Dragon Guards.
She could not think of any other possibility and did not know that she was only partially correct.
Leon did plan to lure the Scarlet Thief out, but he was powerful enough to deal with the Scarlet Thief on his own and there was no need to seek the help of the Dragon Corps.
"Mister Wolf, you can't! If you wish to work with the Dragon Corps, I suggest that you give up! I had the same idea once, but the Scarlet Thief is far too cunning and I wouldn't fall for it!" Henry shook his head without hesitation.
The eight criminals on the criminal lists were all wanted by the Dragon Corps as eliminating threats to the community was part of the Dragon Corps' duty.
When Henry was being hunted by the Scarlet Thief, he sought the help of the southern region branch of the Dragon Corps and his request was accepted right away.
Using himself as bait, the Dragon Guards waited close by to trap the Scarlet Thief, but the Scarlet Thief did not show up at all after sensing that there were others in the area.
In the end, all of Henry's hard work went to waste.
Since the resources of the Dragon Corps were limited, they could not afford to waste too much time on Henry and had to retreat in the end, while Henry went back to running for his life alongside his granddaughter.

"I don't need the Dragon Corps to deal with the Scarlet Thief! " Leon scoffed in contempt toward the Scarlet Thief.
"But," Henry did not know why Leon felt so confident and wanted to say a few more words, but Leon interrupted him right away.
"That's the end of the discussion! Don't worry, Henry. Just do as I say and I'll resolve this!" Leon deadpanned sternly.
"But, alright, then." Henry sighed with resignation.
Since he already pledged loyalty to Leon, he could not disobey Leon's orders blatantly.
Leon sounded so confident that he seemed to have no fear for the Scarlet Thief.
Henry’s only concern was that Leon would overestimate himself and end up dying at the hands of the Scarlet Thief.
Henry did not fear death but did not wish to drag Leon into his mess either.
As he was absorbed in his thought, what happened next shook him to his core.
"Henry, since you've joined Cynthion Group, you are a part of this family and I won't treat you with anything less than whatever I have. I'll hand you a training method as my first gift to you," Leon said thoughtfully.
He was recruiting martial artists in the Semi-Almighty and Almighty States to protect the women and resolve the issue with security in the Elegante Group and Cynthion Group.
Iris and the others were his family and he could not stand the thought of anything happening to them.
Since Henry was still in the Semi-Almighty State, Leon intended to help him get to the Almighty State as soon as possible.
The more powerful Henry became, the safer the companies and the others would be.
"Training method? Mister Wolf, I train with an Advanced Power method, so there's no point in giving me another one, " Henry said hesitantly.
Though he did not know what method Leon intended on teaching him, all training methods found in the southern region fell within the Ultimate Power class or lower, and only the post-powerful families possessed the more effective training methods.
Since Cynthion was a rising enterprise and Leon was a young man who did not come from any ancient lineage of martial artists, Henry did not think that Leon would have an Ultimate Power method.
Since powerful training methods were so scarce, Leon would have never handed out information to anyone even if he had an Ultimate Power Method; if Leon was hoping to teach him an Advanced Power method, that would not be necessary.
"Why wouldn't there be a point? The training method I'm about to offer you is an Ultimate Power method, the Thousand Gods Method!" Leon said.
Leon was far too weak in the past and dared not to teach his subordinates powerful methods out of fear that others would find out and hunt him down. Hence, he only taught Mason and the others an Advanced Power method, the Dispel Demon Method.
However, Leon's overall strength reached the Intermediate Almighty State and there was hardly anyone in the southern region who could pose a threat to him.
Hence, Leon concluded that it did not matter even if others found out that he had powerful training methods.
He intended to teach Henry the Thousand Gods Method and do the same with Mason and the others.
As for methods in the Absolute class, he had no intention of sharing them at the moment out of concern that others might attack him to obtain the methods.

"What?! Are you giving me an Ultimate Power method? R- Really?! Am I hearing this right?" Henry gasped.
"You heard me right! Focus and listen carefully," Leon said.
Henry snapped out of it and muttered, "Um, okay.”
He was still in disbelief that Leon would possess an Ultimate Power method and that Leon would simply offer it up to him without hesitation.
Still, he would soon find out if Leon was telling the truth once he tried training with it.
Leon taught Henry the ways of the Thousand Gods Method.
He got Cynthia to bring over pen and paper to note down the detail of the Thousand Gods Method so that he could hand it to Mason, Spencer, and the others.
Not wanting to wait another moment, Henry immediately sat on the ground to start training to test if the Thousand Gods Method was truly an Ultimate Power method.
Time ticked by and soon, Henry completed his training and could instantly sense that the Thousand Gods Method was a few times more effective than the Advanced Power method he was previously training with, which confirmed that the Thousand Gods Method was indeed an Ultimate Power method.
"H- How's this possible?!" Henry was shaken to the core.
He never imagined that Leon would hand him an Ultimate Power method.
It was precisely over an Ultimate Power method that the Scarlet Thief betrayed Henry and the other treasure hunter, and because of it, Henry’s family all suffered horrible death; and now, Leon handed him another Ultimate Power method without hesitatioScarlet Thief.
It felt so surreal that Henry was having a hard time accepting what just happened.
Unable to suppress his excitement, he fell onto his knees before Leon.
"Henry, what are you doing? Get up," Leon did not expect Henry to kneel and immediately went over to help him up.
"Thank you, Mister Wolf. Thank you! I don’t even know what I can do to repay your kindness for giving me such a valuable training method. Kneeling before you is all I can do," Henry refused to get up and looked at Loen with joy written all over his face.
The Scarlet Thief used to be in the Advanced Emperor State like Henry a decade ago, but with the help of the Ultimate Power method he stole, the Scarlet Thief's power increased rapidly and he eventually reached the Intermediate Almighty State; whereas Henry was limited by the training method he possessed and could only reach the Semi-Almighty State, which was a far cry from the Scarlett Thief s power level.
It seemed almost impossible for him to think of avenging his family, but the circumstances changed.
With the Thousand Gods Method Leon taught him, he would soon reach the intermediate Almighty State like the Scarlet Thief as long as he remained devoted to his training.
Leon's kindness gave Henry a glimpse of hope and his heart was instantly filled with gratitude.

"Henry, you're overreacting! It's just an Ultimate Power method. You don't have to kneel. Please just get up," Leon said and helped Henry up.
"Thank you, Mister Wolf. I can never repay my debt to you. Whatever you need from this day onward, I'll heed your commands at all costs!" Henry said sincerely as he thanked Leon over and over again.
He came to seek refuge in the very beginning but he was now completely blown away by Leon's generosity.
He vowed inwardly to follow Leon until his death to return the favor.
"Don't thank me just yet! The Thousand Gods Method is just one of my welcoming gifts to you. I have something even better for you!" Leon said with a smirk.
"What is it?" Henry asked in confusion.
He knew just how scarce Ultimate Power methods were and was content to have obtained the Thousand Gods Method, so he was surprised that Leon had something else even better in store for him.
'But, how can that be possible?' He thought as he could not fantom what could be more valuable than an Ultimate
Power method.
"Henry, if I'm not mistaken, you are probably training with a light method, right? Here's a Sun Pill that can enhance the strength of martial artists who train with light methods!
Take this, and you should be able to get to the Almighty State right away!" Leon said as he handed a Sun Pill to Henry.
He could tell from observing Henry earlier that Henry used to practice a light method, which meant the Sun Pill would work on Henry.
Since Henry reached the Semi-Almighty State and was not far from reaching the Almighty State, the powerful effect of the Sun Pill should get Henry past the current bottleneck of his training.
Once Henry became an Almighty martial artist, the companies owned by Leon and his friends would be in lesser danger.
"What? Are you saying that this pill will get me to the Almighty State? Is that true?" Henry was stunned as he stared at the Sun Pill.
Ever since his family was killed, he dreamt of getting to the Almighty State to seek revenge against the Scarlet Thief. Unfortunately, martial artists who studied Advanced Power methods could only reach the Semi-Almighty State at best and it would be extremely challenging to overcome the gap between the Semi-Almighty and Almighty States.
No matter how hard Henry tried, he simply could not get to the next level.
The fact that Leon seemed confident that it could be easily achieved by taking a pill sounded surreal and Henry could not bring himself to believe that a tiny pill would contain such power.

"You’ll find out if I'm lying once you take the Sun Pill!” Leon smiled.
"Sure," Excited, Henry accepted the Sun Pill with trembling hands in anticipation, before swallowing it without hesitation.
The Sun Pill dissolved in his mouth within an instant and transformed into waves of energy that surged through his body.
Not daring to delay, he immediately sat on the ground to internalize the energy.
Sometime later, his power skyrocketed with the Sun Pill's help and the bottleneck of his training began to loosen.
Henry relentlessly attempted to break past it and eventually, he jolted as his strength increased and he reached the Initial Almighty State.
"Thank the gods! I've reached the Almighty State!" Henry stood and burst into laughter.
Though Leon already handed him an Ultimate Power method, training required time and hard work and it would have taken a while for him to reach the Almighty State.
However, with the Sun Pill Leon offered, his power level instantly rose to the Initial Almighty State.
Since the Sun Pill could greatly enhance martial artists' power, Henry was even more powerful than others who just reached the same power level.
Combined with the Thousand Gods Method he just obtained, he should be able to reach the Intermediate Almighty State within a year and would stand a chance in seeking revenge against the Scarlet Thief.
The Sun Pill saved him a lot of time and shortened the distance between him and the Scarlet Thief, making the idea of avenging his family far more possible and Henry was thrilled.
"Congratulations, Henry!” Leon said.
With Henry's success in reaching the Almighty State, Leon finally obtained an Almighty martial artist as his subordinate and he was overjoyed.
Henry snapped out of it and dropped to his knees again without hesitation.
"Thank you, Mister Wolf. I'll never forget what you've done for me," He said gratefully, before turning to look at Sherlyn Yates. "Sherlyn, come over and thank Mister Wolf with me! He's our savior and I finally see hope in avenging your parents."
The sight of his children and a grandson dying at the hands of the Scarlet Thief replayed in his head and tears welled in his eyes as he mourn his family; his resentment for the Scarlet Thief deepened with each day that passed and he desperately wished to tear the Scarlet Thief apart to avenge his family.

"Okay,” Sherlyn muttered, before kneeling next to Henry.
"Alright, it's not that big a deal! Henry, why don't you two get up?" Leon helped them up from the ground and added," Also, this is a Cleansing Pill. Sherlyn, this is my welcoming gift to you. This pill can cleanse and restructure your internal circulation to enhance your potential. I hope that you can devote yourself to training and become an accomplished martial artist in the future."
Since he already helped Henry get to the Almighty State, he could not leave Sherlyn out.
Out of the sympathy he felt for Sherlyn, he instantly decided to offer a Cleansing Pill to Sherlyn. On top of that, he planned on arranging for Sherlyn to work in the Cynthion Group under Cynthia and Ruth. Hence, Sherlyn could raise her power level as well.
"Thank you, sir," Sherlyn said sheepishly.
After witnessing the death of her family and wandering with her grandfather in the past years, she became introverted and started to develop a fear of strangers.
Leon's kindness shed light onto the darkness she was living in and she felt nothing but gratitude for him.
"Henry, you've just reached the Initial Almighty State so you need to take the chance to reinforce your power level. Just keep training here for the moment. I'll have something
arranged for a place for you and Sherlyn to stay in," Leon said.
"Yes," Henry said.
With that, Leon, Iris, and the others left the reception room.
Leon returned to the chairman’s office alone and took out his phone to call Oliver and Abraham to confirm what he heard from Henry.
One could never be too careful and though he sympathized with what Henry suffered and treated them with kindness, there was no way for him to tell if Henry's story was made- up or real.
Since Leon made a few enemies in the southern region with the Southern Boss and the Hiltons waiting for a chance to kill him, he was worried that Henry might be a spy arranged by the Southern Boss.
For safekeeping and to ensure his friends' safety, he decided to investigate Henry's background.
According to what Henry mentioned, he joined forces with the Dragon Guards in the southern region in the past to ambush the Scarlet Thief; if he were telling the truth, there would be records in the Dragon Corps and all Leon needed was to send Oliver and Abraham to look for the record, which was the reason why he was calling them.
Once the call was answered, the two instantly went through related files and confirmed that Henry was telling the truth.
Leon felt relieved and all doubts he was lifted.
He then gave Mason a call and ordered him to go to the chairman's office as he intended to entrust Mason with the task of settling Henry and Sherlyn down.

"Knock, knock!'
Shortly after, he heard knocking on the door and with Leon's permission, Mason entered the room.
"Mister Wolf, do you need something?" Mason said respectfully.
"Oh, here's the thing," Leon briefly explained the situation.
He lived in a mansion and each mansion cost a fortune.
Since the one Leon bought was located near the mountain, the mansions near him seemed to be vacant. Hence, Leon intended to instruct Mason to purchase the mansion so that Henry, Sherlyn, Mason, and the others could all move in and take care of one another.
"Mason, this is my credit card. Go and buy those few mansions," Leon said as he handed a card to Mason.
"Yes!" Mason accepted the card.
"Also, this is an Ultimate Power method called the
Thousand Gods Method. Take it with you and start training with it later on with Spencer and the others," Leon handed the notes for the Thousand Gods Method over to Mason as well.
"What?! An Ultimate Power method?" Mason was shaken.
He knew how valuable power methods were, especially ones that were in the Ultimate Power class, as they were
considered the most powerful methods to exist in the southern region
Leon already taught them the Dispel Demon Method, and offered them the Cleansing Pills and Sun Pill not long ago; on the same day, Leon gave them an extremely valuable Ultimate Power method, the Thousand Gods Method.
One could easily tell just how much Loen valued his subordinates.
"Mister Wolf, thank you so much," Mason snapped out of it and fell onto his knees.
Not only was Leon nothing but kind to Mason and the others, but he also never saw them as his servants.
Mason's heart was instantly filled with gratitude and he felt glad that he pledged his loyalty to Leon.
It was the best decision he ever made.
"Mason, we're all a family. You don't have to be so polite to me! Get up!" Leon went up to help Mason up.
"Mister Wolf, if this is all, I'll go ahead with the purchase of the mansions," Mason said.
"Go ahead! I have high hopes for you, so don't let me down," Leon tapped Mason on his shoulder.
Though Mason was a mediocre martial artist at the moment, he was a slick and thoughtful man.
Leon planned for Mason to be a manager once Wolf Enterprises grew bigger, so he made a point to leave smaller
matters in Mason's hands to prepare him for the role.
"Yes! I won't disappoint you!" Mason's face lit up and he turned to leave the office.
