Just then, following the sound of footsteps, Abraham strode in. "Mister Glasbey, the people from the eastern region branch have arrived!" He reported respectfully.

Since the Dragon Guards from the eastern region traveled a long way to assist him, Alfred arranged for Oliver and Abraham to wait outside the door.

Oliver was left to wait with the backup team while Abraham hurried inside to report to Alfred about their arrival.

"Good! Invite them in!" Alfred said in excitement.

"It's fine! We're already here!" Just then, a powerful laughter echoed in the air and an old man in his seventies walked in alongside Oliver, followed by seven Dragon Guards from the eastern region.

They all had watchful glares and powerful presence, and anyone would be able to tell that they were formidable.

"I'm Zack Weymark, a third-level Platinum Dragon Guard from the eastern region, Mister Glasbey."

"Greetings, Mister Glasbey."

The old man took the lead to bow at Alfred, while the others along with Oliver followed.

"Zack! It's been a while!” Alfred exclaimed.

The southern and eastern regions were located next to one another, so the two branches of Dragon Corps worked together multiple times before and Alfred recognized Zack right away.

Zack was highly respected in the organization and was known as one of the best martial artists in the eastern region as he reached the Advanced Almighty State years ago.

Alfred did not expect the eastern region to send Zack over as backup and was surprised to learn how much the Dragon Corps valued the capture of the Scarlet Thief.

Indeed, according to the information the southern region gathered, the Scarlet Thief escaped to the area between the eastern and southern regions and could run to the eastern region at any moment.

Hence, the Dragon Corps in the eastern region decided to take precautions to gather a team of capable martial artists led by Zack to eliminate the Scarlet Thief before he could get to the eastern region.

After a brief exchange of pleasantry, Alfred cut to the chase and said, "Alright, we're all here now so let's start preparing for the attack! Here's to hoping that we can eliminate the Scarlet Thief this time!"

As the person in charge of the Dragon Corps in the southern region, Alfred could not lead the team, so he arranged for another third-level Platinum Dragon Guard to lead the team of Dragon Guards in the southern region.

The addition of the Dragon Guards from the eastern region would increase their chances of killing the Scarlet Thief, but Alfred was still slightly worried if they would succeed.

"We'll try our best!" The Dragon Guards responded in unison, knowing that tracking the Scarlet Thief itself would be extremely challenging as the Scarlet Thief’s precise whereabouts remained unknown.

Even if they managed to find him, the Scarlet Thief could always choose to run if he realized that he was under attack, so the Dragon Guards were placed in a rather passive position.

For as long as the Scarlet Thief remained in the dark, it would not be easy for the Dragon Corps to eliminate him.

Just as the Dragon Guards were about to take off, a bright voice echoed in the air and Leon strode in.

"That won’t be necessary’’

"Leon?" Alfred was surprised to see Leon there.

He gathered several Dragon Guards but did not summon Leon.

"Mister Glasbey." Leon bowed respectfully before Alfred.

"Leon, why are you here?" Alfred asked in confusion.

"Oh, Mister Glasbey, I've killed the Scarlet Thief, so I came to report back to you and save you all from the time and effort of going after him," Leon explained.

He knew that Alfred was planning an attack against the Scarlet Thief along with the Dragon Guards from the eastern region.

As soon as Leon left where Chandler used to live, he ordered Mason to take Chandler back to the mansion where Henry and Sherlyn lived, before driving over to the Dragon Corps with the Scarlet Thief's corpse to report the latest development to Alfred so that the Dragon Guards would not have to waste time going after the Scarlet Thief.

On top of that, Leon owed the Dragon Corps some contribution points when he obtained the Nine Suns Flower, so he rushed over to trade the Scarlet Thiefs body with contribution points and pay his debt.

"What?"

"You killed the Scarlet Thief?"

Jaws dropped around Leon.

"Who's this kid?"

"Did he just say that he killed the Scarlet Thief?"

"Am I hearing this right?"

The Dragon Guards snapped out of it and exchanged confused looks.

The people from the eastern region traveled a long way and never met with Leon before this; as for those from the southern region, no one saw them. Hence, none of them knew who Leon was.

However, there was one thing that they were all certain about, and that was the Scarlet Thief was an influential Almighty martial artist who was both cunning and formidable, whereas Leon was merely a young man who could not possibly rival the Scarlet Thief in terms of strength.

As a conclusion, none of them thought that it would be possible for Loen to defeat the Scarlet Thief on his own.

Contrary to the others' suspicion, Alfred was both shocked and excited." Leon, are you sure that you killed the Scarlet Thief?"

Others might not know what Leon was capable of, but he knew that Leon managed to kill both Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder.

Alfred knew that Leon could kill yet another criminal, but since the Scarlet Thief was good at hiding, no one in the Dragon Corps knew exactly where he was, so that was what baffled Alfred when he first heard that Leon managed to track the Scarlet Thief down.

"Yeah, it's true! I've killed the Scarlet Thief. I can assure you that it's true!

Leon nodded seriously.

"Good! Leon, you're awesome!" Overjoyed, Alfred burst into laughter.

Ever since Leon reported to the southern region of Dragon Corps, Alfred spent enough time with Leon to know what kind of a man he was.

Since Leon assured him that the Scarlet Thief was killed, Alfred did not doubt it.

The Scarlet Thief wreaked havoc in the southern region and was seen as the common enemy of all Dragon Guards in the southern region. However, the Scarlet Thief was far too powerful and skilled at hiding his track, so they could not capture him despite their effort.

Somehow, Leon managed to kill the Scarlet Thief on his own and eliminated one of the biggest threats toward the Dragon Corps.

Instantly, Alfred's heart was filled with excitement.

"Mister Glasbey, what's going on?"

The Dragon Guards from both the eastern and southern regions were confused as to why Alfred burst out laughing.

'Does he truly believe that this kid killed the Scarlet Thief? But, that's not possible!' They thought.

"Everyone, let me introduce Leon Wolf, a fifth-level Platinum Dragon Guard here. Leon, this is Zack from the Dragon Corps in the eastern region,’ Alfred proceeded to introduce Leon to the others.

"What? He's a Platinum Dragon Guard?’

Zack and the others were stunned, and so were a lot of the Dragon Guards from the southern region.

None of them imagined that Leon would be a Platinum Dragon Guard at his age.

"Mister Glasbey, are you messing with us? How can someone this young be a Platinum Dragon Guard? Is there a mistake?’ Zack asked in disbelief.

The system in Dragon Corps had strict requirements and members were required to reach the Almighty State and offer five-thousand contribution points to be promoted to a Platinum Dragon Guard.

For Loen to become a Platinum Dragon Guard at his age, he would have to be insanely talented.

On top of that, it was always challenging for any member of the Dragon Corps to contain a large sum of contribution points. Apart from killing criminals on the criminal list, it would take at least ten years of hard work for ordinary Dragon Guards to be promoted to Platinum Dragon Guards.

From Zack's perspective, Leon was far too young and inexperienced. Even if Leon indeed reached the Almighty State, it would be impossible for him to possess five-thousand contribution points.

"I’m not mistaken! Zack, Leon might be young, but he's quite a man! Don't underestimate him." Alfred could tell that Zack was looking down on Leon and smiled in response

"Is that so? I wonder what Mister Wolf is capable of!" Zack scoffed.

Like the other Dragon Guards, he did not think a young man like Leon had any quality worthy of such high praise.

"Zack, to tell you the truth, Leon was the one who killed both Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder on his own,’ Alfred explained calmly.

"What?!" Zack and the others instantly gasped in disbelief.

When Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder were killed, Alfred reported their death to the Dragon Corps in the central region immediately, and their names were instantly removed from the criminal list.

Hence, all members of the Dragon Corps were aware of their deaths with no exception. However, they all thought the two criminals were killed after being hunted by all the Dragon Guards in the southern region and did not expect Leon to accomplish that alone.

It seemed so surreal that they all failed to understand how that could happen.

"Hang on! Mister Glasbey, I heard that the Poisonwielder was taken down by the joint effort of the southern and western regions! How does Mister Wolf here come into the picture?' Zack snapped out of it and asked.

Though he did not know much about Asmodeus, he knew about the Poisonwielder as he once heard from the person in charge of the eastern region of Dragon Corps that the Poisonwielder was extremely formidable considering his ability to wield various poisons.

The western region sought the southern region's help and the Poisonwielder was eventually eliminated, yet Alfred claimed that Leon was the one who killed the Poisonwielder.

Zack felt confused and did not know what to make of the situation.

"Zack, you don't know this, but when I sent out the backup team, Leon was assigned as leader. Though we did combine forces with the Dragon Guards in the western region, Leon ended up killing the Poisonwielder on his own," Alfred explained.

"I see!" Realization dawned on Zack.

Considering how young Loen was, Zack did not believe that it would be possible for Leon to kill the Poisonwielder on his own.

To his knowledge, the Poisonwielder was killed by the Dragon Guards from both the western and southern regions, yet Alfred credited the success to Leon, which led Zack to believe that Leon might be friends with someone important in the organization. Hence, Alfred credited all the accomplishments of the elimination of Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder to Leon.

'It's no wonder that this kid managed to become a Platinum Dragon Guard at his age. I guess there’s more to the story!’ He thought.

The other martial artists from the eastern region felt the same and all mistook Leon for a shameless man who took credit for others' success.

Instantly, they all turned to look at Leon with contemptuous looks on their faces

"Mister Glasbey, it doesn’t matter who killed the Poisonwielder and Asmodeus! We came here to assist your mission in killing the Scarlet Thief! Please give the command so we can start right away!" Zack changed the subject.

Though Zack guessed that Leon relied on connection instead of true power, this was merely an issue with the southern region Dragon Corps and not the Dragon Corps in the eastern region. Hence, all Zack wanted was to start the operation and eliminate the Scarlet Thief as soon as possible, so that they could all return home.

"Start? Zack, didn't Leon just say that he's killed the Scarlet Thief? What's there to start now?" Alfred asked.

"Forgive me for being blunt, Mister Glasbey, but the Scarlet Thief ranks fourth place on the criminal list because he is a powerful martial artist with a cunning mind! Even if I am to go up against him alone, I might not be able to kill him. Mister Wolf is still young and I don’t think he can kill the Scarlet Thief! I think there might be some kind of misunderstanding. We have to be careful and not take his words for it," Zack said calmly.

Though Zack was already in the Advanced Almighty State, the Scarlet Thief could always run once he realized he fell short compared to his opponent. Hence, even Zack was not confident that he could kill the Scarlet Thief on his own, let alone Leon, who did not have any true talent.

"Yeah, Zack is right!"

"We need to see the body!"

"Mister Glasbey, since Mister Wolf insists that he killed the Scarlet Thief, where's the Scarlet Thief's body?"

The others from the eastern region agreed along, as they all thought that it was unrealistic for a young man like Leon to defeat the Scarlet Thief on his own.

"Yeah! Leon, where's the body?" Reminded by the others, Alfred turned to look at Leon in confusion.

"Oh, I handed the body to Captain Scots from the National Security Department," Leon explained.

According to the rules set by the Dragon Corps, all criminals would need to undergo a DNA test once they were killed for identification.

Hence, Leon handed the body to Captain Scots right away as soon as he arrived.

"I see!" Alfred exclaimed.

He trusted Leon and since Leon's explanation was reasonable, he did not suspect a single word.

However, Zack and the others felt different.

They all concluded that Leon could not have killed the Scarlet Thief on his own, and since Leon had no proof in hand, none of them were willing to believe Leon.

"Mister Wolf, since you claim that the Scarlet Thief's body is with the National Security Department, why don't you take us there to have a look? We're all dying to see if the Scarlet Thief is dead!" Zack smirked.

Since the National Security Department was nearby, they would learn the truth as soon as they headed over.

'Let's see how this kid is going to cover up his lies once we arrive and the Scarlet Thiefs body is nowhere to be seen!' Zack thought.

"You don’t have to come to the National Security Department! I've brought the Scarlet Thiefs corpse over!"

Just then, they all heard someone hurrying over and Captain Scots strode in with two other employees following closely behind, carrying the Scarlet Thiefs body on a stretcher with a white fabric covering it.

It became clear that Captain Scots verified the body's identity and came to report to Alfred.

"Good sirs, this is the Scarlet Thief’s body!" Captain Scots waved his hand, signaling the two employees behind him to lower the stretcher, before lifting the fabric to reveal the body.

"It's the Scarlet Thief! How's this possible?!"

Jaws dropped and Zack and the others from the eastern region were incredibly stunned as they thought Leon was only bragging.

To their bewilderment, Leon told the truth and he indeed eliminated the Scarlet Thief.

It was so surreal that they would never believe it to be true if they did not see the body with their own eyes.

"Captain Scots, what are the results? Is this body the Scarlet Thiefs?" Alfred asked hastily.

The Scarlet Thief's information was publicized a long time ago, so Alfred recognized the corpse almost right away. However, modern technology was far too advanced and the Scarlet Thief was too skilled in hiding, so he needed a DNA test to ensure that they killed the Scarlet Thief instead of someone else.

"Yes! Mister Glasbey, here are the results. According to the test, the body's fingerprint and physical characteristics match the Scarlet Thiefs profile. I can say for sure that this body belongs to the Scarlet Thief," Captain Scots said as he handed the report to Alfred.

"Good!" Alfred glanced through the report and burst out laughing.

Though Leon mentioned that the Scarlet Thief was eliminated, Alfred was still slightly concerned that there might be some sort of mistake. However, after reading the detailed test results, he was relieved.

"Zack, why don't you and the others take a look at this?” Knowing that Zack and the others had their doubts about Leon, Alfred handed them the report as well.

Zack accepted the report and read through the pages intently, and according to the data shown on the report, they all confirmed that the corpse belonged to the Scarlet Thief.

"Mister Wolf did this?!"

"How did he manage such a thing?!"

Zack and the others were stunned.

They knew how capable the Scarlet Thief was as the Southern region Dragon Corps were not able to hunt him down; the Dragon Corps from the eastern region even went as far as to send one Dragon Guard in the Advanced Almighty State along with several martial artists in the Intermediate and Initial Almighty States.

Even so, they were not confident that they could eliminate the Scarlet Thief, yet Leon managed to accomplish the impossible all by himself.

It was a miracle and they were all shaken to their cores

"Zack, here's the truth! You should believe in what Leon is capable of now, right?’ Alfred asked with a smile.

"Yeah, we do," Zack nodded with a blush.

He and the other martial artists from the eastern region all made assumptions that Leon could not have killed the Scarlet Thief on his own and even questioned Leon about it, only to be proven wrong by the reality and realize that they made a fool of themselves.

They felt both embarrassed as they realized that they underestimated Leon.

"Mister Glasbey, does that mean that Mister Wolf truly killed Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder?" Zack asked.

He mistakenly thought that Leon relied on connection instead of true strength, and assumed that Alfred was being unfair for crediting the elimination of both Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder to Leon. However, since Leon managed to kill the Scarlet Thief on his own, it no longer seemed as unlikely for him to kill Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder.

For Leon to possess such power, he must be relying on far more than just connections to achieve his current status, and they all instantly realized that all Alfred mentioned about Leon might be true.

"Of course! I already told you all that Leon killed both Asmodeus and the Poisonwielder on his own," Alfred said without hesitation.

"But, I heard that the Poisonwielder was killed by a group of Dragon Guards from both the southern and western regions! How can you say that Mister Wolf did it on his own?" Zack asked in confusion.

"Zack, I shall answer that question! I participated in the mission to hunt the Poisonwielder down, so I know what happened best."

Just then, an old man in Gray stepped out of the crowd.

It was none other than Scott who followed Leon to the western region.

"Sure. Please go on." Zack nodded.

"Here's what happened; Though the Dragon Corps in both southern and western regions joined forces, the poison used by the Poisonwielder was too powerful and we all came close to falling victim to it. Thankfully, Mister Wolf saved us and managed to track and kill the Poisonwielder on his own, " Scott explained.

On the mission to kill the Poisonwielder, not only were the Dragon Guards not able to help much, they burdened Leon and allowed Leon to escape him.

Leon somehow managed to track and killed the Poisonwielder alone, so it was indeed Leon's effort that led to the success. Still, Leon did not take all credit and offered his teammates the contribution points equally, and Scott was always been grateful for it

"I see! We didn't expect someone as young as Miser Wolf to kill three criminals in a row. How impressive!"

Zack and the other Dragon Guards all realized that they misunderstood Leon and were all impressed by Leon's talent.

There was never another man in all of Sky County who managed to eliminate three criminals consecutively, so it was a glorious accomplishment that Leon managed to do so.

"Zack, you're too kind. I just got lucky." Leon smiled.

"You're being modest, Mister Wolf. All individuals on the criminal list are Almighty martial artists who can't be easily defeated, so you have to rely on more than sheer luck to defeat them," Zack said sincerely.

Not only were the criminals ruthless and cunning, they were all formidable martial artists so it would have been challenging enough to eliminate one of them, let alone three. Hence, it could easily be concluded that Leon must be extremely powerful.

"Yeah!"

"Youngsters hold the most potential! I guess that saying is true!"

The other Dragon Guards agreed along.

The Dragon Corps always valued power above all, and since Leon managed to defeat the Scarlet Thief on his own, he must be in the Intermediate Almighty State or higher, which was unheard of for someone his age.

On top of that, Leon eliminated three criminals who took countless lives, so he could easily be referred to as a hero.

Hence, everyone was impressed by Leon's power and talent in martial arts.

"As expected of someone Master Haslewood recommended. I haven't been disappointed once!" Alfred beamed as others complimented Leon.

Leon worked under the southern region Dragon Corps and Alfred took pride in any accomplishment Leon made.

When Master Haslewood recommended Leon to Alfred, Alfred was confused as to why someone as accomplished as Master Haslewood would pay attention to a mere young man. At this moment, Alfred finally understood how perceptive Mister Haslewood was.

After a while, everyone calmed down and Zack decided to bid his farewell. "Mister Glasbey, since the Scarlet Thief is dead, there's no point for us to be here any longer. If you don't have anything else that requires our help with, we should head back now!"

"Hang on! Zack, you and your group have traveled a long way and I hate to let you leave just like that. How about this? I'll have my men prepare a feast to serve you. You can all head back after lunch," Alfred said enthusiastically.

Zack and the others were his guests who hurried to his rescue, so Alfred knew that he had to at least show his gratitude before they left.

"Um, sure! We'll take you up on your offer, then, Mister Glasbey!" Zack hesitated for a moment, before agreeing.

"Scott, go make arrangements for the feast. Oliver, Abraham, take Zack and the others to rest!" Alfred commanded.

"Yes!" Scott responded, before leaving.

Oliver and Abraham led Zack and all the other Dragon Guards to somewhere else to rest.

Soon, the crowd dispersed, leaving Leon and Alfred alone in the yard.

"Leon, come join us in the feast later! I have to celebrate your accomplishment!" Alfred said with a smile.

"Um, I'm afraid I can't, Mister Glasbey. I have something else to attend to later, so I can’t come to the feast," Leon said hesitantly.

"Something else to attend to? Is it something important?" Alfred was shocked as he did not expect Leon to refuse participation.

Leon nodded. "Yeah, it's really important."

He took a Dragon Pill to deal with the Scarlet Thief and its effect was going to end soon. Leon would shortly be in a recovery phase, so he would not be able to attend the feast. However, the Dragon Pills were one of his secret weapons, so he could not explain the truth to Alfred.

"I see! Alright, then. If you're busy today, we shall have another feast to celebrate your accomplishments another day!" Alfred said in disappointment.

Leon accomplished what no one ever fulfilled by killing Asmodeus, the Poisonwielder, and the Scarlet Thief in a row. Alfred wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate Leon's accomplishment and praise him in front of everyone. However, since Leon had other matters to attend to, he could only give up.

"Mister Glasbey, there's something else I'd like to talk to you about," Leon changed the subject.

"What is it?" Alfred asked.

"Firstly, I'm in debt of two-thousand contribution points over the Nine Suns Flower, so I want to use the Scarlet Thief's body to make up for what I owe, " Leon explained.

Back when Leon eliminated the Poisonwielder, he obtained a little over eight-hundred points, and a Nine Suns Flower required three thousand points, so he was in the Dragon Corps’ debt.

"Sure. I'll handle that for you later!" Alfred said.

Leon managed to kill the Scarlet Thief on his own and earned five- thousand points for it, so there were more than enough points to pay the debt he owed.

"Secondly, I want the Dragon Corps' help to search for a Fairy Fruit and any herbs that contain light energy like the Sunlit Herb," Leon continued.

The Dragon Pills were made from Fairy Fruits and since Leon had only a few Dragon Pills left, he intended to seek the Dragon Corps' help in searching for a Fairy Fruit. On top of that, he needed herbs that contained light energy to produce the Sun Pill.

In order to secure his position in the southern region, he needed to collect a few herbs that contained light energy to produce more Sun Pills.

He already sought Roanne's help to search for the herbs when she asked for more Sun pills on the Thompsons' behalf. However, such herbs were scarce and the Thompsons might not be able to find any.

Hence, Leon decided to seek the Dragon Corps' help as well for safekeeping.

If both ends managed to find herbs, that would be ideal as Leon could only benefit from obtaining more herbs that contained light energy

"Sure! You'll need two-thousand points for the Fairy Fruit and any herbs that contain light energy will require three-thousand points. Which one do you need first? I'll get my men to start looking,* Alfred agreed to the request right away.

"I need both, especially herbs that contain light energy. The more the better! " Leon said with a smile.

"The more the better? Do you have that many contribution points?" Alfred questions in confusion.

"Not yet, but I can kill other criminals if I run into them. That way. I'll have more contribution points!" Leon said.

He already reached the overall strength of the Intermediate Almighty State and even managed to kill the Scarlet Thief who ranked fourth place on the criminal list, so he was confident that he could hunt other criminals down in the future.

"I'm afraid that won't work!" Alfred shook his head.

"Why not?* Leon asked.

"You don’t know this, but the Serpent Demon who ranked sixth place on the criminal list has been eliminated by Dragon Guards in the northern region a few months ago. The Phantom, who ranked fifth place, has also been killed by Dragon Guards in the eastern region a month ago and Zack participated in that attack! You have personally killed Asmodeus, the Poisonwielder, and the Scarlet Thief, so there are only three criminals left on the list and they are all hiding in the central region," Alfred explained.

"They are all in the central region? That’s a bit tricky." Leon scowled.

Though a part of the southern region was connected to the central region, there was a distance of over a thousand miles to travel from the core of the southern region to the core of the central region.

Leon just managed to settle down in the southern region and did not intend on moving to the central region anytime soon, so there was no way that he could kill the other three criminals who were still alive.

Instantly, he realized why Alfred claimed that his idea would not work.

"It's far from tricky! These three criminals are the strongest ones on the list! They are all in the Advanced or Peak Almighty State, so they are far more powerful than the likes of the Scarlet Thief! Killing them in exchange for contribution is almost impossible!" Alfred added.

"The Advanced and Peak Almighty States? Really?" Leon gaped.

Since he managed to kill three criminals in a row recently, he started to underestimate the criminal list, only to realize that he grew too confident after learning that the top three criminals on the list were in the Advanced Almighty State or above.

The three criminals were even more powerful than the Southern Boss and Arthur, so Leon would not stand a chance.

Leon reached an overall strength of the Intermediate Almighty State and could barely rival martial artists in the Advanced Almighty State with little to no chance of winning. Hence, if Leon ran into a martial artist in the Peak Almighty State, he would not stand a chance of surviving.
