The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 901
"Damn it!" "Leon's such a lucky guy to have escaped the Northern King, the Youngs and the Fields."
"Yeah, what a shame!"
As the others watched while Leon disappeared into the distance, they were all disappointed.
Cynthia and Iris were the most beautiful women in the city, yet one committed suicide for Leon, while the other had her heart broken because of him.
Because of that, most of the men resented Leon and desperately wished to witness his demise, but since even Harold and the Fields failed to kill Leon, they knew that they would not stand a chance and could only watch as Leon left.
"Stop!"
Once Leon left, Harold and the Fields all stopped. Their sole purpose was to eliminate Leon and since he was already gone, there was no reason that they should continue fighting.
"George Collins, I'll remember this, you selfish scum! I'll make you pay!" Walter gritted out furiously.
The Fields saw Leon as their enemy and his chance to eliminate Leon was destroyed by George, so Walter was livid.
"Ha! I'm not scared of you! Walter, come at me if you can. The Collins can take whatever you throw at us!" George scoffed, not at all intimidated.
"Very well! Let's wait and see! Let's go!" Walter's expression darkened as he left with the Fields.
In contrast to Walter's rage, Harold appeared far more composed.
Though his plan was ruined, he knew that the Collins would not be able to shield Leon for life. Leon no longer had the support of the Shears, Harold knew there were plenty of chances for him to get rid of an orphan without a family, so there was no reason that he had to rush.
"Vincent, we shall duel again in the future!" Harold snorted, before leaving with the Youngs.
With that, the battle between families ended.
Meanwhile, in the yard of a mansion in the Dragonbay Villas.
Gilbert sat on his wheelchair as he tried to meditate.
It was the day for Cynthia and Leon to be engaged, but he did not bother participating in it.
He could not move around freely in his wheelchair, and after what happened to him, he did not wish to show his face in public for others to laugh at him.
Since he did not appear in the engagement party, he had no clue as to what happened.
Just then, he heard footsteps approaching, before seeing Leon darting in with Iris in his arms, followed by Louisa and Ariel.
"Leon Wolf?! What are you doing here?!"
Gilbert froze and widened his eyes in disbelief.
According to what he was informed, Leon and Cynthia should be having their engagement party at the moment and Leon should be with the Shears, so he did not understand why Leon would be in his house.
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 902
Most importantly, Leon already refused to get back together with Iris and Gilbert decided that he preferred Anson as his future son-in-law, so he was not at all pleased to see Leon.
"Uncle Gilbert, Iris is injured and I'm here to treat her,” Leon said sheepishly, unable to see Gilbert's eyes.
Gilbert was Iris's father, after all, and since Iris committed suicide because of him, Leon did not know how he could face Gilbert.
"What?!" Shocked, Gilbert focused on Iris, who laid in Leon's arms and soon noticed the blood stain before her chest.
The dagger stabbed into her chest was removed by Leon, but the blood stain remained.
"Louisa, wh- what happened? What's wrong with Iris?" Gilbert paled, his voice trembling.
"Uncle, Iris tried to get back together with Leon and when rejected, she chose to commit suicide," Louisa sobbed.
"Commit suicide?" Gilbert felt as though he was struck by lightning.
He only thought that his daughter was injured and d id not expect her to be dead.
"Leon Wolf, you bast*rd! How dare you get Iris killed?! I'll kill you!” Furious, Gilbert darted toward Leon while glaring at him with bloodshot eyes.
Startled, Leon dodged the attack while holding Iris.
"Uncle Gilbert, calm down! I've already managed to secure the last strand of her life energy and she isn't fully dead yet. I will bring her back," Leon explained hastily.
"Bullsh*t! How are you supposed to bring her back? I'm going to kill you and avenge Iris!" Gilbert roared as he continued to launch himself at Leon.
"Uncle, stop! If Leon says that he can bring Iris back, maybe he can! We can't delay this any further! Why don't you let him try? If we wait any longer, Iris might really die for good!" Louisa shouted.
Gilbert sobered and regained his composure.
He knew that Louisa was right; no matter if Leon had the ability to revive Iris, he ought to let Leon try at the very least and he could always avenge Iris if he failed.
"I'm warning you, Leon Wolf, you better be telling the truth! If you fail to revive Iris, I'll have your head!" Gilbert gritted out and his attacks ceased.
"Don't worry. I'll revive her for sure..." Leon said with determination, before carrying Iris to the room downstairs and laying her down on a bed.
Louisa, Ariel and Gilbert all followed closely behind.
"Louisa, I'll be treating her now and I can't be disturbed. You should all go out for now," Leon said.
Iris's injury was far too severe and he needed a quiet environment to proceed with the treatment.

"No way. I'm staying right here to watch!" Gilbert said.
"I'm staying, too!" Louisa bit down on her lips.
Both of them were too worried about Iris to walk away.
"Um, okay, then! Remember! It's fine for you to stay, but you need to stay as far away as possible and you mustn't interrupt me!" Leon said hesitantly.
He could understand how they felt and did not force them to leave the room.
Louisa nodded. "Of course. We won't bother you."
Louisa, Gilbert and Ariel backed away to give Leon space and once everything was ready, Leon turned his attention to Iris, before pressing his fingers onto her compression points.
His spiritual energy flowed through his fingers and into her body, gradually repairing the damaged internal circulation and muscles in her body.
The promise he made during the engagement party gave Iris hope and as under his relentless effort, the last strand of life energy within her body began to respond to his treatment.
"Iris, can you hear me? Hang in there. Don't give up. I'll bring you back," Leon was overjoyed when Iris responded and he immediately increased the input of his spiritual energy to treat her injury.
Unfortunately, Iris's injury was far too severe and his power level too low, so he slowly began to run out of energy.
"It's now or never!" He gritted out, before taking out a Dragon Pill and a Spirit Nurturing Pill and consumed them.
The Dragon Pill could temporarily raise his power, while the Spirit Nurturing Pill could make up for the loss of his spiritual energy.
His condition slowly began to stabilize and after half an hour, he paled; he was drenched in sweat as the spiritual energy within him reached its bottom. However, Iris showed no sign of awakening, so he could only white -knuckle through it.
Eventually, even the Dragon Pill and the Spirit Nurturing Pills could no longer support the loss of his energy.
"Pfft!" A blockage formed in his internal circulation and the effect of the pills backfired at him, causing him to spit blood and collapse onto the ground.
"Leon, wh- what's wrong?"
"Are you okay?"
Louisa and Ariel gaped and hurried over to help him up.
"I'm fine. I'm too weak and I don't have enough energy," he said bitterly, and was instantly interrupted by Gilbert.
"You bast*rd, Leon! You promised that you'll revive Iris! Was that all a lie?! I'm going to kill you and avenge Iris!"
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 904
He assumed that Leon could not save Iris and launched a punch against Leon at the speed of lightning.
"Uncle Gilbert, th- that's not what this is. Let me explain!" Startled, Leon tried to move away, but he ran out of spiritual energy and had no strength to fight back.
"Uncle, no!" Louisa paled and stood before Leon without hesitation to shield him from Gilbert's attack.
Not wanting to injure Louisa, Gilbert came to a sudden halt and shouted," Louisa, move out of the way. I'm going to kill him today!"
"Calm down, Uncle. It's impossible to revive the dead. Leon has already tried his best," Louisa’s eyes reddened.
Leon collapsed and spat blood from trying to revive Iris, and since she did not believe that the dead could be revived, she was not hopeful from the very beginning.
Since Leon failed, Louisa knew that she could only give up.
"Louisa, Uncle Gilbert, don’t be sad just yet. Can you listen to what I have to say first? I didn't manage to wake her, but she's responding to the treatment and has started breathing again," Leon explained hastily.
"What?! Seriously?!"
The three were shocked and could not believe what they heard.
Ariel was the first to recover from the shock and immediately placed a finger under Iris's nose, sensing the faint blow of air.
"Uncle Gilbert, Louisa, he's telling the truth! Iris is breathing!" Ariel flushed in excitement.
"Really?! Let me try," Louisa gaped in disbelief and tested Iris's breathing and heartbeat as well.
Though Iris's heartbeat was weak, and her breath faint, all evidence proved that Iris was indeed alive.
"Oh my god! Uncle, Leon really did revive Iris! He did it!" Overjoyed, Louisa grabbed Leon by the arm and jumped in excitement as tears scrolled down her cheeks.
"Th- That's great! It's a miracle!" Gilbert burst into tears once he realized that Iris was breathing.
Relieved, Leon's lips curled into a smile. "Uncle Gilbert, I wasn't lying, was it?"
Iris was finally revived under his effort and the treatment that followed would be much easier.
"Well, I've misunderstood you," Gilbert muttered awkwardly, feeling glad that he listened to Louisa and allowed Leon to treat Iris, or Iris would have been dead by now.
"Uncle Gilbert, Iris hasn't woken up because I don't have enough energy to wake her. I need to take her to a different place to treat her!" Leon said thoughtfully.
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 905
Though Iris was revived, she was still in a critical condition and could still die at any moment.
Leon desperately needed to bring her to a place filled with spiritual energy to wake her as soon as possible.
Fortunately, the peak of the back mountain was perfect.
It was the place where Leon started his training, and not only was the peak filled with spiritual energy, he even buried jadeites to create an Energy Convergence Circle. With the circle's help, he was certain that he could save Iris.
"Okay. We'll follow you wherever you take Iris," Gilbert said.
"No. You can’t go there. I'll take her there myself." Leon shook his head.
Gilbert was on a wheelchair and both Louisa and Ariel were too frail to climb the mountain, so it would be easier for him to travel alone with Iris.
"Well, okay then."
The three knew that they could not be of much help and gave up eventually.
As soon as Leon recovered his strength, he carried Iris out of the mansion and hurried toward the mountain.
Meanwhile, at the peak of the mountain.
It was a long time since Leon visited, but the spiritual energy was still as abundant as he last remembered.
He walked toward the Energy Convergence Circle and placed Iris on the soft grass field, before sitting next to her and activating the circle.
The spiritual energy on the mountain gathered and swirled around them, before entering Leon's body.
Leon's recovery rate quickened and he was soon filled with spiritual energy once again.
He continued to press on Iris's compression points at the Six Points of Fate.
The effect of the Dragon Pill and the Spirit Nurturing Pill remained and under the effect of the Energy Convergence Circle, he no longer had to worry over running out of spiritual energy, so he focused on treating Iris with all his might.
After some time, colors began to return to Iris's face, which already started turning blue from earlier, her limbs began to warm up and her heartbeat began to stabilize.
Bit by bit, Iris's energy blossomed and finally, a miracle occurred.
She spat out a mouthful of black-colored blood and slowly opened her eyes.
"You're finally awake, Iris," Overjoyed, Leon helped Iris up gingerly.
"Where am I? Did I die and go up to Heaven? But why are you here, too, Leon?" She asked weakly.
Iris glanced at the blue sky and the colorful forest that surrounded her.
It was such a breath-taking view that she thought she died, but was confused when she saw Leon beside her.
"No, you aren't dead. We're at the peak of a mountain. This isn't Heaven," Leon said in excitement.
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 906
"I'm not dead? How's that possible?" Iris gasped in disbelief, but soon recovered. "Leon, were you the one who saved me?" "Yeah. I told you I'd bring you back, and I did," Leon held Iris close and shed tears of joy.
He promised to save Iris multiple times, but he was not confident at all since Iris's injury was extremely severe, but the gods were merciful and he had a miracle to his pleasant surprise.
"I see. But, what about Cynthia Shear? I thought that you were getting engaged to her," Iris thought back to what happened before she committed suicide.
"I've called off the engagement," Leon's heart sank when he recalled the sorrowful, yet hopeful look in Cynthia's eyes when she left, his excitement for Iris's revival weakening at the memories.
"What?" Iris was shocked, but soon remembered what happened once she tried to recall.
She remembered hearing Leon promised that he would get back together with her, which gave her the hope to live.
"Leon, did you say that you would get back together with me if I woke up? Is that real?" Iris stared at Leon unblinkingly, a blush appearing on her pale face.
"Well, yeah." He sighed, unable to deny the promise he made.
What Iris didawakened the feelings he had for her; she would always be the woman he loved most and he forgave her for what she did in the past.
However, the thought that he hurt Cynthia in the process left him bitter. "That's great! Ugh!" Iris was so excited that she choked and started coughing.
"Iris, are you okay?" Startled, Leon immediately gathered his spiritual energy on his palm and smoothed it down her back.
"I'm fine. I'm just too happy," Iris leaned against Leon's arms and smiled sweetly.
After all the difficulties that they went through, she felt extremely glad that they finally found their way back to each other.
"You've just stabilized so you need to control your emotions," Leon reminded her.
"Yeah," she nodded, "I know," she glanced at the scowl on his face and asked, "Leon, are you thinking about Cynthia?"
"Yes. I've wronged her," He sighed guiltily.
"So have I. I've stolen her fiancé," Iris muttered hesitantly.
She destroyed their engagement party and stole Leon before everyone’s eyes. Not only did her action hurt Cynthia, she humiliated Cynthia and the Shears and she could foresee how Cynthia would be mocked wherever she went.
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 907
She was a kind–hearted person all along and she truly regretted hurting Cynthia. However, love was always selfish in nature and though she felt remorse, she would never allow Leon to go back to Cynthia.
“Forget it. Iris, you’re weak right now and you need rest. Let’s head back down,” Leon said, setting his thoughts about Cynthia aside.
“Okay.” She struggled to get up with Leon’s help.
“I’ll carry you.” Leon bent down and lifted Iris up, before heading down the mountain.
Iris blushed shyly and buried her face into the crook of his neck happily.
Meanwhile, inside the mansion.
Gilbert, Louisa and Ariel waited for Leon to return to the yard.
Time flew and over an hour passed, but Leon was nowhere to be found and they were all worried.
“What’s going on? It’s been so long. Why isn’t he back yet? Has there been an accident or something?” Gilbert muttered in frustration.
“I don’t think so. If Leon’s capable of reviving Iris, I’m sure he can wake her up!” Louisa said confidently.
“You don’t know that! He said that he could wake her up just now, but he only managed to get her heart beating and came close to failing! He’s not really that reliable. Who knows if he really can save her?” Gilbert grew increasingly irritated.
Iris only started breathing and did not fully recover, so there was no guarantee that he could wake Iris; should he fail, Iris could die.
“Uncle, don’t worry. I’m sure that Iris will be fine,” Louisa consoled him.
However, what Gilbert said caused her to doubt Leon.
“Damn it. Is it possible that he ran?” Gilbert’s expression darkened.
If Leon was incapable of reviving Iris, he would not return to face Gilbert’s wrath and there could be a possibility that he ran.
“Uncle, you’re overthinking. Why would Leon run?” Louisa said.
“It’s possible! No way! I am going to find him right now! If he manages to save Iris, that’s for the best; but if
he fails, I have to kill him before he escapes!” Gilbert darted out fiercely.
“Looking for me, Uncle Gilbert?” Leon walked in with Iris in his arms and asked gleefully.
“Leon, you’re finally back! How’s Iris? Did she wake up yet?“
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 908
Both Ariel and Louisa were excited that Leon came back.
“Iris-”
Before Leon could respond, Gilbert interrupted him furiously.
“I knew it! I know that you are all talk, Leon Wolf! You couldn’t have the ability to wake Iris! You bast*rd! How dare you get her killed?! I’m going to make you pay!” Gilbert roared when he saw Iris laying still in Leon’s arms. He assumed that Leon failed to wake Iris and that Iris might already be dead.
In the midst of his sorrow, he gathered his true energy in his fists and was about to charge at Leon.
“Dad, I’m fine,” Iris muttered sheepishly as she looked up with a blush on her cheeks, signaling Leon to put her down.
Though she got back together with Leon, she still felt shy to act so intimate with him in front of others and hid her face because of that.
“Oh my god! You’re awake, Iris! You really are!”
“That’s great!”
Louisa and Ariel were over the moon.
Though they both trusted Leon, reviving the death seemed impossible and they were shaken to the core that he managed to wake Iris up.
“How’s this possible?! Am I dreaming?” Gilbert’s eyes widened in disbelief.
He did not place much trust in Leon to begin with and was not hopeful that he could revive the dead; however, not only did he manage to revive Iris, she looked exactly like a normal, healthy person apart from the fact that she looked pale.
“Iris, how are you feeling? Are you okay?”
Louisa and Ariel recovered from the shock and scanned Iris up and down, before finally relaxing.
“Ariel, Louisa, Iris has just recovered, so she needs rest. Why don’t you two get her back to her room?” Leon said with a smile.
“Yeah, sure!”
Louisa and Ariel both grabbed one of Iris’s arms and headed to the living room.
“By the way, I heard you mentioning me from outside. Do you want something?” Leon turned to look at
Gilbert in confusion.
“N- Nothing, I just mean to say that you are a really skilled doctor and I respect you for that,” Gilbert smiled sheepishly, before following Iris to head back inside.
“Leon Wolf, I know that you’re hiding in there! Come out here right now!”
Just then, an angered roar filled the air as Anson barged in with a few martial artists of the Collins.
“Anson, why are you here?” Gilbert immediately moved his wheelchair out.
“Don’t you know what happened, Uncle Gilbert? Leon got Iris killed and I’m here to avenge her!” Anson said furiously.
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 909
Never did he imagine that his grandfather would help Leon escape from the Fields instead of taking the chance to eliminate Leon.
Anson did not dare to defy George in public and decided to suppress his anger at the time. However, as soon as he returned home, he immediately gathered a few martial artists and hurried over to seek revenge against Leon.
Since Leon left with Iris in his arms, it was not hard to guess that Leon came to Dragonbay Villas.
“Anson, you’ve mistaken. Iris-”
Before Gilbert could explain, Anson turned and immediately spotted Leon standing in the distance.
“Leon Wolf, so you really are here! I’m going to kill you and avenge Iris!” Anson glared daggers at Leon, but hesitated when he remembered that Leon reached the Peak Supreme State.
“Like you are capable of that!” Leon scoffed.
He knew that Anson misunderstood, but did not bother to explain himself.
Anson was one of Iris’s many pursuers who had conflicts with Leon in the past and Leon saw no point in wasting his time with Anson.
“Get over yourself, Leon! You’re right! I’m no match for you! That’s why I bought a few martial artists in the Advanced Supreme State or above with me and as powerful as you might be, I’ll make sure that you die here! Anson said fiercely, before turning to a mid–aged man standing next to him. “Uncle Anthony, go ahead and kill Leon for me!”
The person Anson was speaking to was Anthony, one of the best martial artists among the second bloodline of the Collins‘ direct descendants who already reached the Peak Supreme State. Apart from him, the other martial artists Anson brought along were all at the Advanced Supreme State or higher.
Anson knew that Anthony could easily destroy Leon with the help of others.
“Anson, I don’t think that this is appropriate,” Anthony muttered.
He knew about the deal between Leon and George; knowing that George intended on befriending Leon, he did not see how it would be reasonable for him to attack Leon.
“How is it inappropriate?! Don’t worry, Uncle Anthony. I’ll explain to Grandpa! Just do it and I will take all the responsibility,” Anson said proudly.
Just then, an alluring voice came from the door. “Thank you for caring, Mister Collins, But I’m fine now, so I don’t need you to avenge me,” Iris said coldly.
She heard the noises as soon as she entered the living room and returned to the yard with the help of Ariel and Louisa.
“I- Iris?! Oh, God! A- A ghost!” Terrified, Anson fell onto the ground. Even the other Collins were shocked.
The Ex-Husband’s Revenge chapter 910
Everyone witnessed Iris’s death at the engagement party for Leon and Cynthia, yet Iris stood before them, alive and well; they paled as though they saw a ghost.
“Shut your mouth, Anson Collins! Iris is alive. Stop calling her a ghost!” Louisa shouted in annoyance.
“What?! Is Iris alive? H- How’s that possible?!” Anson froze in shock.
He saw Iris committing suicide with his own eyes and he could not believe that she was still alive.
“Anson, what Louisa said is true. Leon cured Iris and woke her up,” Gilbert explained.
“He cured her? Is he even human?” Anson gaped.
The other Collins turned to stare at Leon in disbelief as well.
Leon mentioned that he would revive Iris multiple times during the engagement party, but everyone only took it as a joke, yet Leon somehow managed to create a miracle that brought Iris back to life.
Such skills were unheard of and the Collins were shaken to the core.
Soon, Anson recovered from the shock and said, “This is great! Thank goodness!” He burst out laughing.
He did not know how Leon saved Iris, but he was more than excited that the woman he loved came back to life.
“Anson, thank you for your concern for Iris! She’s still recovering and needs rest, so please go if this is all you want to confirm!” Leon said calmly.
He did not like Anson, but since George helped him from earlier to resolve the conflict between him and the Collins, Leon decided not to dwell over past grudges.
“Iris, rest well. I won’t bother you now,” Anson smiled sheepishly.
Since Leon already revived Iris, there was no point for him to seek revenge, so he immediately left with the other Collins.
In the following days, Leon prescribed Iris to a few medications and made sure that she took time daily. Under his watchful eyes, Iris slowly began to recover.
After all the things they went through as a couple, Iris treasured the relationship more than anything.
They two spent most of the day together while Leon cared for her and all the awkwardness between them dissolved.
On the other hand, news that Leon revived Iris spread across all of Springfield City, causing chaos in all families.
While people marveled at his capabilities, the majority of them were pleased as this meant that Leon completely turned his back on the Shears.
Cynthia hoped that Leon would return to the Shears, but with Iris coming back from the dead, her hope shattered and she fell into deep despair.
