“Don’t you dare sell it to him!” A cold voice came from behind them and Cynthia stormed in with Spencer and Stephen.

“Miss Shear? Why are you here?” Shocked, Mister Zogg hurried over and bowed at Cynthia.

The Shears were the biggest medical supplier in the area and the head of the industry, so Cynthia made numerous appearances on behalf of her family.

“Mister Zogg, I forbid you from working with Elegante Group!” Cynthia commanded.

“Why?” Mister Zogg was shocked. His eyes darted between Cynthia and Leon, before realizing that Cynthia came for Elegante Group.

However, the Shears were one of the Four Major Families and as their eldest unwed daughter, Cynthia was a powerful figure and could not possibly cross paths with Elegante Group, a company that was hardly known.

Mister Zogg gaped, unable to comprehend the situation before him.

“There’s no reason! You just have to do as I say!” Cynthia said.

“But,” Mister Zogg muttered hesitantly.

Though Cynthia was far higher in status compared to him, Zerbe Pharmacy did not operate under the Shears and Cynthia did not have the right to command him.

Since Elegante Group agreed to pay for the ingredients with a price higher than market value, Mister Zogg would have profited greatly from the deal and was reluctant to call the deal off simply because Cynthia said.

On the other hand, the Shears were incredibly influential and he did not dare to cross Cynthia; instantly, Mister Zogg found himself at a crossroad.

“Mister Zogg, you better think twice. Zerbe Pharmacy is currently collaborating with the Shears! It’s fine if you want to insist on working with Elegante Group, but I’ll terminate our contract with Zerbe Pharmacy right away if you do! Make your choice!” Cynthia threatened.

All retailers in the medical and pharmaceutical industry relied heavily on the Shears as they were the biggest supplier and Mister Zogg knew that the Zerbe Pharmacy would suffer great loss if the Shears terminated their partnership and he would surely be punished for it.

“Mister Wolf, I hereby represent Zerbe Pharmacy to call off the deal between us,” Mister Zogg said as he glared at Leon.

‘What’s going on with this guy and this puny company?‘ he thought, ‘how dare they cross Cynthia Shear? They must have a death wish or something!‘

All the Shears needed to do was move a finger and Elegante Group would be destroyed.

Leon felt conflicted that Cynthia destroyed his deal with Zerbe Pharmacy; he never expected to find himself in such a situation with Cynthia despite not seeing her for a while.

“Cynthia, what are you doing?” Leon sighed.

“What do you think? Don’t you know what you’ve done?!” Cynthia spatted coldly as she glared at Leon.

Leon called off the engagement a few days ago and she understood that he did so to save Iris, and she did not blame him for it; however, he immediately got back together with Iris and abandoned her even after Iris survived, and Cynthia could not forgive him for doing so.

There was only a thin line between love and hate and all her love for Leon instantly transformed into resentment, which was why she terminated the contract with Elegante Group and came to stop Leon from finding another supplier.

“Cynthia, I know that I’ve broken your heart. I’m sorry,” Leon said apologetically.

“I don’t need your apology! I only have one question for you! Now that you’ve managed to revive Iris, can you come back to me? We can get engaged like we intended to. I’m begging you,” Cynthia bit on her lower lip and stared at Leon pleadingly.

She only came all the way to destroy Leon’s effort in finding a new supplier because she wanted an excuse to see him once again.

She loved Leon with all her heart and she wanted to give him one last chance.

“What?!” Mister Zogg’s jaw dropped and widened his eyes in disbelief.

He thought that Leon or Elegante Group somehow crossed Cynthia and realized at that very moment that Cynthia was only trying to win Leon over.

Cynthia Shear, the mighty lady of the Shears, was begging for a man to return to her side and the sight made Mister Zogg question everything he knew about the world.

Since he was not a martial artist, he did not know who Leon truly was and did not know that something even. more shocking happened a few days ago during what was meant to be an engagement party for Cynthia and Leon.

“Leon, you can’t say yes to that,” Iris paled and panicked as she looked at Leon.

She knew that Leon was a man who valued the people he cared about and she was concerned that he might agree to Cytnhia’s request, leaving Iris behind on her own.

“I’m sorry, Cynthia. I love Iris and I can’t wrong her, nor will I leave her,” Leon took a deep breath and rejected Cynthia once again bitterly.

“So you’re still going to choose her!” Tears scrolled down Cynthia’s cheeks.

She knew all along that Leon was in love with Iris and that he would never return to her, but being rejected by him once again still broke her heart.

“He rejected Miss Shear?!” Mister Zogg gaped in disbelief.

Cynthia was a powerful and beautiful woman and any man would be lucky to be loved by her.

What shocked him the most was that Leon rejected Cynthia.

However, seeing how Iris was more beautiful compared to Cynthia, Mister Zogg recalled the way Cynthia and Leon addressed Iris and came to a sudden realization that the woman standing next to Leon was the most beautiful woman in all of Springfield City, Iris Young.

Mister Zogg was shaken to the core.

Though he never had the honor to see Iris with his own eyes, rumors of her beauty never left his ears and it was shocking to see how the two most beautiful women were fighting over a man.

Instantly, he felt like he went insane and was hallucinating.

“Leon, if you insist on being so heartless, then don’t blame me for what I’m about to do!” Cynthia held back her tears, her eyes filled with resentment once again as she decided to bury all her love for Leon.

“Spencer, Stephen, teach this man a lesson by breaking his leg!” Cynthia commanded.

She spent a long time with Leon and knew better than anyone that Leon was merely in the Intermediate Supreme State, so the Sharp siblings, who were in the Advanced Supreme State, should be able to defeat. Leon with ease.

“What?!”

“W–We can’t!”

Spencer and Stephen were shocked. Though Leon already left Cynthion Group, leaving all that he had, including his connection with Spencer and Stephen, Leon was their master for a time and they could not

allow themselves to hurt Leon.

“Why not? You both work for Cynthion Group and you no longer work for Leon! Are you going to betray and disobey me?” Cynthia roared.

The two fell onto their knees. “I’m sorry, Miss Shear. It’s not that we want to betray you, but MIster Wolf helped us in the past and we can’t hurt him.”

“Please punish us for disobeying your order.”

They bowed their heads and would rather be punished than to disrespect Leon in any way.

“Why you! Very well! If you two won’t teach this ungrateful bast*rd a lesson for me, I’ll do it myself!” Furious, Cynthia charged toward Leon and stuck against his chest.

As her attack approached, Leon stood his ground with determination and waited for the blow to make

contact with his chest.

Though Cynthia was not comparable to Leon in terms of strength, she already reached the Advanced Innate State and since Leon did not dodge the attack or guard himself with his energy, his body could not withstand the impact and he was immediately sent flying, spitting blood.

Blood scrolled down the corner of his mouth and he paled as he fell onto the ground.

“You-” Cynthia gaped, not expecting Leon to take the blow.

Leon was the man he loved and she injured him; the blood he spat splashed across her face.

Cynthia instantly fell into a hysterical state as her heart sank.

“Leon, are you okay?” Iris paled and she immediately hurried over to help Leon off the ground.

“Damn it! Have you gone mad, Leon? Why didn’t you dodge my attack?” Cynthia roared, tears scrolling down her cheeks. For a moment, she desperately wanted to run over to check on Leon, but stilled when she saw Iris beside him.

“Are you done now, Cynthia?” Leon sighed bitterly.

“No! I’ll hate you for as long as you refuse to come back to me, even if it means I’ll resent you for the rest of my life!” She gritted out as she sobbed helplessly.

“I’m sorry, Cynthia. I owe you this. If beating me will make you feel better, just carry on until you are satisfied!” Leon said with resignation.

“Fine! Remember that you said that! I’ll kill you right now!” She raised her arm in rage, her true energy gathering on the palm of her hand.

“Do it, then. I won’t fight back!” Leon closed his eyes and refused to move.

“You!” Cynthia’s heart shattered into pieces as she stared at the only man she ever loved, knowing that she

could never kill him.

“Cynthia, come at me if you want to vent your anger, but I won’t let you hurt Leon!” Iris shouted.

Worried that Cynthia would attack Leon, Iris opened her arms and stood before Leon.

“What a loving couple you are! Leon, you aren’t scared of dying, are you? I won’t do things your way! I’m going to kill Iris right now and with her out of the picture, you might just come back to me!” Cynthia narrowed her eyes maliciously.

She was always a wilful young woman who was raised like a princess, and slowly strayed from the righteous path after losing Leon.

She lost all her senses and launched herself at Iris at the speed of lightning.

Iris paled in fear. She practiced the Mysterious Maiden Method under Leon’s guidance in the past, but was far too weak to defend herself from Cynthia.

All she could do was watch as Cynthia charged toward her, but she stubbornly remained standing before

Leon to protect him.

“Cynthia, are you mad?!” Leon gasped and immediately sent off his spiritual energy to block Cynthia’s strike.

To her bewilderment, Cynthia only pretended to attack and did not intend on killing Iris at all, so she did not apply any strength in her attack.

“Baam!”

Leon’s energy and Cynthia’s punch crashed and after canceling Cynthia’s force, Leon’s energy continued to push forward against Cynthia.

Cynthia smiled bitterly and did not attempt to run as she braced for the impact.

She accidently injured Leon and she wanted to punish herself for it, even if it meant her death.

If Walter came, Leon knew that he would be destined to die; but he did not fear Theodore at all.

“Don’t be so confident just yet, Leon! I’ve brought two Semi–Overlords with me today! As talented as you might be, you are still going to die today!” Theodore sneered.

Two old men in their sixties stepped forward and guarded the exit on both ends to prevent Leon from escaping.

“Two Semi–Overlords? You Fields must think really highly of me!” Leon’s heart sank.

He was only in the Intermediate Supreme State and even under the effect of the Dragon Pill, he would only reach the Peak Supreme State at best, which was a huge difference from the Semi–Overlord State.

It would be hard enough for him to survive under a Semi–Overlord, not to mention facing two at the same time.

“Prepare to die, Leon!” Theodore snorted and waved his hand, signaling the Semi–Overlords to fire up true energy in preparation to attack.

“Stop!” Seeing how Leon was at a disadvantage, Cynthia roared and stood before him.

“What do you think you are doing, Cynthia Shear?” Theodore froze and questioned in confusion.

He knew that Leon already turned his back on the Shears and saw the conflict from earlier between Cynthia and Leon with his own eyes. However, Cynthia’s attitude took a sharp turn and he was surprised that she would stop him from killing Leon.

“Theodore, the Fields have been shamelessly bullying Leon with martial artists of the older generation. You are way out of line here! Have some shame!” Cynthia roared.

“Cynthia, have you gone insane? Leon abandoned you at your own engagement party and humiliated the Shears, yet you are still siding with him? Are you crazy?” Theodore gaped in disbelief.

“You’re the crazy one! Whether Leon abandons me or not is between the two of us. It’s none of your business! If you want to get to him, you will have to get past the Shears!” Cynthia warned coldly.

Though she resented Leon for what he did to her, she was still deeply in love with him and refused to let

others bully him.

“So you are going to make the Fields your enemies for Leon’s sake?” Theodore sneered.

“Yes!” Cynthia said with determination.

“Very well! Just remember that you asked for this! I’ve been interested in you for a long time now, Cynthia. I can’t wait to have a taste of the Four Beauties. I’m going to get rid of Leon and take you and Iris back with me to enjoy myself!” Theodore smirked devilishly.

Anson and Theodore were the known womanizers of the city, and the only difference between them was that Anson preferred Iris, while Theodore preferred Cynthia.

In order to get his hands on Cynthia, he even organized an ambush in hope to kidnap her, but his effort was ultimately ruined by Leon.

“Damn it!” Leon’s expression darkened when he realized what Cynthia intended to do. He waved his arm to retrieve his spiritual energy, but it was too late and the aftermath of the attack slammed hard against Cynthia.

Cynthia paled and backed away as blood scrolled down the corner of her mouth.

Leon was quick to withdraw his energy, or Cynthia would have died.

“Cynthia, are you okay? I didn’t mean to injure you,” He asked hastily.

He was only a man and despite being in love with Iris, he spent days and nights with Cynthia, who helped him on countless occasions, so he did start to develop feelings for her and treated her like one of his best friends.

He already felt extremely guilty for calling off the engagement and was frustrated at himself for injuring her by accident.

“Enough with your pretenses! You might as well kill me and that would have been better than to let me suffer alive!” Cynthia roared hatefully.

She would rather die at Leon’s hands or in his arms so that she could be free from her misery.

“W–Why would you do this to yourself?” Leon’s heart sank.

“What a great show!”

Just then, they heard someone clapping and Theodore walked in with a few martial artists of the Fields.

“Theodore Field! What are you doing here?”

Not expecting Theodore to appear all of a sudden, Leon’s expression darkened as an ominous feeling took over him.

“Leon Wolf, you have stood in our ways repeatedly and the Fields have never forgotten about it! I am here to make you pay!” Theodore sneered.

The Fields searched for chances to eliminate Leon ever since he managed to escape from the engagement party, but out of concern that Collins would interfere, the Fields did not dare to act..

Leon’s visit to the Collins Mansion did not escape the Fields‘ attention and assuming that Leon already fulfilled his deal with the Collins, the Fields finally decided to attack.

Since Leon lost the support of the Shears, it was easy for them to get rid of a powerless orphan and since Walter belonged to the older generation, he could not bully Leon over and over again at the risk of ruining his own reputation, so he sent Theodore instead out of concern for the family name.

Though he preferred Cynthia, he would never turn down a beautiful woman, especially Iris, who was the most beautiful woman in Springfield City.

In the past, he only allowed himself to fantasize about the two out of fear of their respective families; however, Iris was already denounced by the Youngs and he could do whatever he pleased with her without any concern that the Youngs would retaliate.

Cynthia still had the support of the Shears and it would be troublesome for him to do anything to her, but Theodore was not worried at all.

Cynthia was the one who insisted on interfering with the dispute between the Fields and Leon, so he would have an excuse to capture Cynthia and the Shears would not be able to seek revenge on the Fields.

Theodore was confident in his personal charm and he was confident that he could tame Cynthia. If he managed to do so, he might even be able to control the Shears, and it was something that he deemed worthy of the risk.

“Theodore Field, come at me if you want to, but if you dare to touch a single hair on Iris or Cynthia, I’ll kill you!” Leon took a step forward furiously, shielding both Cynthia and Iris behind him as he worried that Theodore might actually attempt to force himself on Iris and Cynthia.

“Leon, you just won’t give up on playing the hero, will you? I’m going to deal with you first, before focusing on these two once you are dead!” Theodore sneered, before uttering, “do it!”

At his command, the two Semi–Overlords gathered their true energy onto their fists and darted toward Leon without hesitation.

Leon’s stomach dropped at the overwhelming power.

He knew that he could not possibly defeat two Semi–Overlord and his only hope was to capture Theodore in hope to secure a way out. Though getting past the two Semi–Overlords to reach Theodore would still be extremely difficult, he would still have to try it.

“That’s enough!”

Just as Leon was about to dart forward to attack Theodore, Ruth strolled in with a few martial artists in the Collins.

Two towering figures leaped toward Leon from behind Ruth to block the attacks from the Semi–Overlords of the Fields.

“Ruth Collins?! Why are you here?” Theodore was shocked.

“What a funny question. If you can be here, why can’t I?”

Ruth scoffed.

Leon reached an agreement with George the day before, and the Collins were to protect Leon for three years‘ time in exchange for Leon to turn Ruth into an Overlord.

It was not an empty promise and George already arranged his men to keep an eye on the Fields and Harold to prevent anything from happening to Leon.

As soon as Theodore called upon the two Semi–Overlords in his family, the Collins were alerted and George immediately sent two Semi–Overlords over to Leon’s rescue.

Since Ruth already gathered her belongings, she followed the two Semi–Overlords to where Leon was as well.

“Ruth, what is the meaning of this? The deal between the Collins and Leon should be fulfilled by now. Why are you stepping in?!” Theodore’s expression darkened.

The Four Major Families always put their own gains first and since Leon was no longer useful to the Collins, he could not understand why Ruth would go through the trouble to rescue Leon.

“Who told you that the deal has been fulfilled? Leon’s important to the Collins now and anyone who tries to harm him in the following three years will face the Collins‘ wrath!” Ruth warned Theodore coldly to prevent the Fields from attacking Leon again.

“What?! The Collins are going to protect Leon for three years? You’re taking it too far!” Theodore was furious.

Though the Fields were wary toward the Collins, they did not fear the Collins; if the Collins intended to protect Leon for a few days, the Fields were willing to wait. However, three years were simply too long and the Fields would never allow the Collins to do such a thing.

“Theodore, you know better than anyone that the Fields are the one taking this too far! You have no morals. and bullied a junior repeatedly in the most vicious and despicable ways possible! Honestly, I would be embarrassed if I was one of the Fields!” Ruth mocked.

“Why you!” Rendered speechless, Theodore gritted his teeth in rage. “Ruth Collins, are you sure that you want to declare war on us for Leon’s sake?”

“Yes! You Fields can keep trying and the Collins will deal with you!” Ruth said.

“Very well! I will let Leon go for now for your sake, but this isn’t over. We shall all see what happens in the future!” Theodore’s expression darkened.

Ruth brought two Semi–Overlords, so the strength on both sides were equal and there was no chance that he could do anything to Leon.

In the end, he had no other choice but to give up.

Naturally, the Collins would not be able to protect Leon for the rest of his life, and the Fields would not wait for three years before attacking Leon once again.

Since the Collins got involved, Theodore realized that he needed to report back to Walter to make future plans accordingly.

“Let’s go!” Theodore waved his hand, signaling his men to leave with him, and Ruth did not move to stop him.

The Collins were only protecting Leon for their own gains so she only needed to make sure that he was safe, and there was no need for her to attack the Fields for Leon’s sake.

However, Leon clearly did not intend on letting Theodore go.

Theodore tried to kill him and even wanted to force himself on Iris and Cynthia, yet ran as soon as he realized that he was at a disadvantage.

Leon refused to let Theodore get away so easily.

“You want to leave? It’s too late!” Leon sneered and leaped forward to stand in Theodore’s way.

“What’s this, Leon? What are you doing?” Theodore’s expression darkened.

“What do you think? The Fields have been on my case for a while now and I have to teach you today!” Leon said coldly.

Since the relationship between him and the Collins was merely a partnership, he planned to get the Collins as involved into the situation as possible no matter how hard they tried to stay away.

He would be a fool not to make use of the Collins‘ temporary support.

“You wouldn’t dare!” Theodore paled at the ominous feeling that overwhelmed him. He backed away to hide behind the Fields‘ martial artists, but it was too late.

Leon’s hand grabbed onto his shoulder at the speed of lightning.

“Damn it!”

“How dare you, brat?!”

The other Fields gaped, not expecting Leon to attack Theodore right before their eyes.

The two Semi–Overlords immediately sobered and each launched a punch toward Leon.

“Damn him. He sure knows how to utilize his position!” Ruth did not expect Leon to attack as well and scowled at how sly Leon was.

She was a sharp woman, and knew that Leon was purposefully trying to get the Collins involved. However, she had no options but to comply even when she knew that it was a trap. After all, the Collins wanted to obtain a Power Method from Leon and she could not allow Leon to die in the hands of the Fields.

She could not help but respect Leon for being so determined that he dared to risk his own life to force her into acting.

She glared daggers at Leon’s direction, before whispering, “do it!”

The Collins leaped into the air and shielded Leon from the Fields‘ attack at her command.

“Die, Theodore Field!” Leon sneered, before launching a punch toward Theodore’s direction.

“H- Help me!” Theodore paled and launched a counter attack, before backing away to maintain a distance.

“Pfft!” Theodore spat blood and was sent flying toward a desk in a distance; the desk instantly shattered into pieces.

“If you dare to hurt Mister Theodore, the Fields will slay you alive!”

The Fields gaped and shouted in rage. A few of them wanted to run to Theodore’s rescue, but were all stopped by the Collins.

“Is that so? I’ll be waiting!” Leon scoffed at their threats and stomped onto Theodore’s chest.

“Ugh,” Theodore spat another mouthful of blood at the pressure on his chest and gasped. “Leon, wh- what are you doing?”

“I’m thinking of ways to kill you!” He smiled teasingly as he stared down at Theodore.

“You wouldn’t dare!” Theodore was terrified, but as one of the brightest individuals of his generation, he soon regained his composure and glared at Leon viciously. “Leon, I’m warning you! I’m the young master of the Fields and if you dare to hurt me, the Fields will kill you!”

“Haha!” Leon burst out laughing as though he heard the funniest joke in the world.

“W- What are you laughing at?” Chills ran down Theodore’s spine as he watched Leon laugh.

“I’m laughing at how foolish you are! The Fields are going to try and kill me no matter what, so this threat of yours wouldn’t work on me! I’m going to destroy you right now to get back at the Fields. Let’s see what your family can do about it!” Leon sneered, before stomping hard onto Theodore’s knee.

“Snap!”

Following the crisp sound of bones cracking, Theodore wailed and shivered in pain. “Leon Wolf, you son of a b*tch! Just wait! Once I have you at my mercy, I’m going to mince you and feed your remains to dogs,‘ He cursed and glared at Leon with bloodshot eyes.

“Go on! Keep cursing. Let’s see if you can keep it going as your bones break!” Leon narrowed his eyes and stomped onto Theodore’s other leg.

“Ugh!” The piercing pain shot up his leg and Theodore’s eyes rolled back at the excruciating misery of having both his legs broken.

As though it was not enough, Leon raised his leg once again and aimed it at Theodore’s Energy Sea Point.

Theodore instantly paled and lost what remained of his confidence.

The Energy Sea Point was a compression point crucial to martial artists. Once damaged, the person would

lose all his power and would never be able to recover for the rest of his life.
