“Why are you calling her Mom?

“Your mom was the one who said so. She’s the empress of this family, I can’t disobey her!” Waltz chuckled. “A lot of people knew about your situation with the Assexes. As the Steel Woman, do you really think she’s that oblivious?
She could’ve gotten this information just by asking some random people. You’re her own son, how could she not be angry? It’s good that you are going to get divorced. If you really don’t want to let go of Dorothy, we could always kidnap her! I don’t mind at all.”
Facing a female thug like Waltz, what else could Alex say?

moment, a slag truck on the opposite of the road suddenly took a sharp turn and was
about to crash into Waltz’s Lamborghini.
“Careful!”

Both Alex and Waltz screamed.
Waltz immediately turned the steering wheel and stomped hard on the pedal. Their car
drifted into an S-shaped curve, brushing against the railings on the side to avoid the
truck. A string sparks was induced due to the friction between the car and the stainless
steel railings.
Maya, who was driving the car behind them, immediately pulled the emergency brake
and managed to stop the car in the last second.
“Bastard! Do they even know how to drive?” Princess Fleur yelled, but she was so
scared that cold bullets started trickling down her forehead.
Unexpectedly, another slag truck rushed toward their direction as well.
Alex was struck by a sense of déja vu, as if he went back in time to when he and Michelle were being chased.
However, this time Waltz initiated the emergency brake and drifted, spinning in a full circle, only then did she manage to narrowly escape the accident.
Just then, Black Skeleton, who was smiling coldly on top of the hill, pulled the trigger hard. A spark of fire flashed through the dark.

pushed down the Lamborghini’s passenger seat with his back, lying down.
It was almost the same time that a bullet flew through the car windows.
Flying over the
driver’s seat, the bullet brushed over Alex’s nose and passed through the other side of the window.
“An assassin!”
Adrenaline rose in Alex’s body, causing the Chi of the Force and the divine power in his energy core to be violently stirred.
Waltz was one of the Three Great Chieftains of California’s underworld, hence she knew what was going on immediately: they were facing a sniper.

Suddenly, another large truck on the opposite side of the road rammed toward them.
If the Lamborghini were to get hit, both of them would end up becoming flat patties, let alone survival.
Waltz was lying on Alex’s lap, hence she didn’t notice the truck immediately. After lifting up her head, a bright, blinding light shone through the window, all she could see was a world of pure white.
“Ah!” Alex let out a roar with a burst of Chi as he grabbed onto Waltz’s seatbelt, with veins on his arms bulging. With a tremendous force, the seatbelt was pulled and torn into two halves.
He then kicked open the car door and rolled out while holding Waltz in his arms.
It was almost at the same time that the truck ran into the Lamborghini.

“Damn it!” Black Skeleton cursed under his breath after realizing that the bullet had
missed Alex.
In the next moment, he aimed at his target and pulled the trigger once again.

However, the bullet missed Alex again.
Through his sniper scope, he could see that the man narrowly avoided the bullet in the fine line between life and death, as if he was possessed by a deity and could predict the danger.
Pepper took a glance at the road and immediately retreated into the dark after letting out a huff.

Pepper huffed. “You’re just weak.
I’ll be off now, deal with this on your own.”
After speaking, the woman didn’t hesitate one bit and disappeared into the woods in the blink of an eye.

Alex then noticed that blood was flooding out of Waltz’s upper arm, it was a terrifying sight. He immediately rushed over and held her. “Waltz, you’re hurt! Are you alright?”
Waltz, who was enraged and merciless earlier, curved her mouth into a frown and fell into Alex’s arms as she grimaced in immense pain.
“Senior, I don’t think I have much time left. I have something I wish to do before I die, can you help me to grant that wish?”
Alex panicked. “Waltz, don’t worry, I’ll definitely save you.”
Waltz replied, “No, my wish is more important right now, or else I won’t ever rest in peace.

After returning to the others, Waltz said, “Let’s go, Senior.

Alex took a look at the scene. “Can they really clean it up though?”

Soon after, the four of them got into the same car and sped off.
After a while, a group of men rushed to the scene and drove the three trucks away, they

“Anna, are you poisoned today? Do you need me to force it out of you again?” Alex chuckled as he said.
His words immediately enraged Anna.

Brittany and the others couldn’t understand the reason Alex needed to go out and meet up with a friend at a crucial time like this.
“Is it Dorothy?” Brittany asked with a darkened expression.
She had not forgiven both the mother and daughter of the Assexes just yet!
Brittany was set on having the two to get a divorce, but she was just slightly distracted by their sudden situation of life and death as of now.
Alex shook his head. “Nope.”
He really wanted to see Dorothy, yet he had to deal with the assassin matter beforehand. He still knew how to set his priorities straight.
Brittany said, “Don’t lie to me. Who else would you be seeing this late at night?”
Alex replied, “Members of Divine Constabulary.”

However, Anna didn’t believe that. “No way, all the windows here are made of one-way mirror glasses. Moreover, the room isn’t even lit. How could he possibly find us? I’d say that he was just staring at a random corner, his eyes disgust me.”
Sky smiled and didn’t say another word.
Anna continued, “Leader Sky, you’re overestimating his abilities by sending Steel Tower to test him. I fought him for ten minutes, yet I lost to him by half a move. Steel Tower would kill him with just one punch.”
Sky shook his head. “We’ll see.”
Anna muttered, “Do you really want him to join Divine Constabulary? This guy lives off his wife, his wife has total control over him! If he ever joins, it would lower Divine Constabulary’s standards!”
Sky replied, “Why are you so against him? He somehow saved your life, or else you would’ve ended up in a much worse fate yesterday. He even helped us solve a case.”
“I just dislike him. Hmph, he’s also a bastard who secretly learned my martial arts.”
Just then, Alex folded his arms behind his back, slowly walking to the middle of the yard. He then stopped in front of Steel Tower.
“I’m here for Anna Coleman,” Alex said calmly.
“Hmm!” Steel Tower responded with a snort. He opened his eyes and stared down at Alex. “Hey kiddo, I heard that you secretly learned Anna’s Dragon-Tusk Punch, you seem like you have some skills. Alex’s mouth curved up slightly, he took a glance at the third floor once more.
He thought, ‘Is this how you’re trying to humble me down?’
He shook his head. “A minute? That would be too long.”
Steel Tower laughed heartily while showing his white teeth. “You can’t handle a minute? You really… Know your limits. How about half a minute then?”
Alex shook his head again. “That’s still too long.”

Anna was so shocked that she couldn’t say a word. Her chest was restless and could not be calmed down for a while, it was even getting difficult for her to breath as if she had just climbed a mountain that was several kilometers above sea level.

“Are you alright, Steel Tower?” Anna rushed out of the villa in a panic and helped Steel Tower up. She glared at Alex fiercely.
“Are you serious, Rockefeller? You’ve used way too much force! Look at him, he’s bleeding!”
Alex calmly put up an ostentatious act. “He’s just too weak, I only used 30% of my strength.”
Anna’s slender body instantly trembled, as if she were struck by a heavy hammer.
Just then, Sky approached Alex with a smile. “Anna, don’t be rude to Mr. Rockefeller. You’re always such a worrying little girl. How could you ask Steel Tower to go against Mr. Rockefeller? What if he hurt Mr. Rockefeller? Mr Rockefeller is, mhm, still an innocent citizen.”
Alex secretly let out a sardonic laugh as he thought, ‘I’ve already noticed that you two were watching the battle from the third floor earlier. Why are you acting as if this has nothing to do with you?’
However, he decided not to expose Sky. After all, he was still slightly defensive toward a privileged organization like Divine Constabulary.
He took a glance at Steel Tower. He knew that he could channel a flow of Chi with healing properties into his body to speed up his recovery, yet he did not do so. He thought, ‘If you dare to block my way, you have to be prepared to get hurt.’
After a brief moment, all of them entered the villa and went straight to the point.
After introducing Sky’s identity, Anna said, “Since Michelle Yowell is so close to you now, she must have told you about Divine Constabulary, right? So I’ll just make this quick. The man you just killed is an international assassin that we have been tracking down for ages. His alias is Black Skeleton, he’s involved in a much bigger case.”
With that, she took out a pile of photos, all of them had Black Skeleton in them.
Alex took a glance and said, “What do you want to know from me?”
Anna sat onto the table as she faced Alex, who was sitting on a stool. “I want to know why Black Skeleton tried to kill you. Are you involved in that case too?”
“What case?”
“Hmph, don’t act as if you don’ t know.”

Anna leaned forward, staring at Alex.
Alex’s eyes were fixated on her too. Moreover, he was able to see the grandeur of her cleavage from this angle. Fixated at her chest, he said, “Hey, don’t be like this. I have a wife. Are you an exhibitionist?”
Sky, who was drinking warm tea at the side, choked on it, causing the tea to run up his nose.
Only then did Anna realize in shock, she immediately covered her droopy clothes with her hands as she straightened her posture. “You… You perverted jerk.”
Alex chuckled as he said, “You always wear such revealing clothes in public, yet you blame others for looking at you lecherously. Who do you think should be blamed for this?”
As he spoke, be briefly rummaged through the photos.
“You…” Just as Anna was about to snap, Alex’s gaze suddenly turned sharp as he noticed someone in one of the photos, Pepper Kimmich.
This was a photo taken in an airport, with Black Skeleton sitting on a bench, whereas Pepper sat in another row. They faced each other back to back, as if they were irrelevant to one another.
However, a sudden thought flashed in Alex’s mind.
“When was this photo taken?” Alex asked while completely ignoring Anna, who was clenching her teeth in anger.
“What is it? Is there something wrong with it?” Sky approached him.
Alex said, “I don’t understand why Black Skeleton came to kill me, I don’t know him at all. But this woman might want to kill me.”
He pointed at Pepper Kimmich in the photo.
Sky asked, “Who is she?”
Alex’s eyes turned sharp. “Isn’t Divine Constabulary full of resources? You guys should have found out all the information about me ages ago, right? This woman is Pepper Kimmich, she used to be my father’s secretary. She’s currently working as John Rockefeller’s secretary and he wants to kill me so badly. As for this woman, I suspect she had been lurking by my father’s side with an ulterior motive. I also suspect she might be involved in my parents’ car crash last October, but I’m still looking into it.”
Sky turned to Anna and said, “Look into this person right now.”
After a brief pause, he continued, “If she really worked with Black Skeleton, she would definitely take action after Black Skeleton’s death. Inform the team to find her now.”
Anna immediately went for deployment of the mission.
Sky suddenly turned to Alex and said, “Mr. Rockefeller, how much do you know about Divine Constabulary?”
Alex shook his head. “I first heard about you guys a few days ago.”
Sky replied, “‘Punish the evil and protect the country’, that’s the motto of Divine Constabulary.”
Alex said, “I really respect that.”
Sky said, “We really need someone powerful like Mr. Rockefeller on our team.”
Alex was taken aback, but then shook his head with a smile. He may respect them, yet he had no intention of joining their team.
Sky replied, “Please consider this offer, Mr. Rockefeller. We treat our members well in Divine Constabulary. More importantly, with this title, you’d have much more convenience in many aspects. For example, your father’s case investigation. You’d benefit greatly too. For instance, you won’t be able to break off your connection to the death of those few people tonight. If the cops ever get to you, you might get into trouble.”
Alex narrowed his eyes. “Are you threatening me?”
Sky smiled as he said, “I’m just telling the truth, we have nothing to do with the cops. Moreover, I have something to inform you. The Colemans are enraged since you learned their Dragon-Tusk Punch, they might come after you. I’m fairly acquainted with the Colemans, so I might be of help… Oh by the way, the Colemans in Michigan have an Earth ranked member. Their businesses are ranked within the top hundred in the U.S.”
Alex frowned slightly. After a brief pause, he said, “I’ll think about it.”
He was worried about his mother, Dorothy and the others’ safety.
Just then, Anna ran over. “We’ve found her, that woman is now in Rockefeller Manor.”
Sky signalled Anna with his eyes. “Then why don’t you take a trip with Mr. Rockefeller and check it out? I’m sure Mr. Rockefeller would like to see her, right?”

Alex and Anna hurried to Rockefeller Manor.
There weren’t many cars on the road at night, so Anna sped across the roads, ignoring the traffic lights as if they were just decorations to her. She fully stepped onto the pedal and rampaged through the roads. The car was so fast that a string of sparks was produced along the way due to the friction of the tyres, causing many people yelled at them with displeasure.
Vroom!
As the car sped by, a pedestrian on the sidewalk shrieked in shock.
Alex’s eyelids kept twitching. He couldn’t bear watching any longer, so he lifted his arm and gave a slap.
Smack!
A hard slap was landed on Anna’s thigh.
“Why are you driving so fast? Are you rushing to your own funeral?”
Anna was enraged. “How dare you, try and hit me again?”
Smack!
Alex didn’t hesitate at all. After slapping her thigh again, he said, “You actually asked for such an excessive request, do you think I’m a masseur? Your legs are too thin, there’s nothing sensual about them at all. It’s a failing grade from me.”
“You bastard, I’m going to kill you!” After angrily stopping her car on the road, she was about to pounce and attack Alex.
Alex then said, “Didn’t I just overhear that your team leader, Sky Melvis, seems to ask you to do something?”
Upon listening to this, Anna’s expression twisted in shock. In the end, she said, “Hmph, I don’t care about perverted bastards like you. Having you to join Divine Constabulary is equivalent to digging our own graves.”
However, she somehow managed to suppress her temper and drove more safely.
Alex secretly smiled.
Before leaving the villa, Sky had ordered Anna to try and convince Alex to join Divine Constabulary. Even if he couldn’t become an official member, they should at least strive to have him as a guest member. He even mentioned something about the Vermilion Battle, it sounded important.
Alex, who had sharp hearing, accidentally overheard their conversation. Linking some clues here and there, he was able to figure out what they were up to.
Since they needed help from him, then they should have the attitude to ask for it… Even so, Alex had decided to accept Sky’s offer.
Twenty minutes later, they finally reached Rockefeller Manor.
Unexpectedly, another car arrived at the door as soon as they did. Spark, Carol and Natalie got out of the car, they reeked of booze and it could be smelled from afar.
Alex thought they must have come back from some banquets.
Noticing that Alex and Anna standing at the entrance, the three were slightly taken aback. Spark then immediately rushed over. “It’s the loser, Alex! How dare you come over here at midnight? What are you snooping around for? Are you a thief?”
“I’ll tell you what, you can dream on! There’s no way that we would hand Rockefeller Manor over to you. Last time you placed a bomb under the ground here and put up an act, do you think we would be afraid of you? You’re way too naive! You and that b*tch mother of yours can live on as beggars from now on!”
Alex was really speechless.
Last time, he had destroyed the ground of a ten metre radius with just a forceful stomp. The visual effect must have been way too good, to the point that none of them believed him and they thought he had placed a bomb underground beforehand.
Anna frowned and whispered, “Don’t waste time.”
Alex nodded.
Just as Spark, who had a mocking and contemptuous look on his face, was about to open his mouth to say something, Alex lunged forward and slapped him hard across the face.
Smack!
Spark immediately fell to the ground and fainted from the impact.
Both Carol and Natalie were shocked, as they didn’t expect Alex to attack him without saying a word.
The two sisters took a few steps back, visibly terrified.
Carol said, “Alex, don’t you dare do anything rash. Do you think you can do anything you want just because you have some skills? This is a society governed by laws and there are surveillance cameras installed in every corner. Since you deliberately hurt our people, just prepare to get jailed!”
Alex scanned the area briefly.
Indeed, there were many surveillance cameras installed at the entrance, there were many hidden pinhole cameras installed as well.
It seemed like they really got themselves well prepared!

Alex chuckled coldly and poked onto one of Carol’s acupuncture points, causing her to lose consciousness on the spot. Natalie was about to scream, but in the next second, she fainted and softly fell to the ground.

With swift movements, Alex and Anna threw the three back into their car, climbing over the walls of the manor like raccoons.
However, just as they landed on the ground inside, sharp beeping alarm sounds were heard.
“What’s happening? Are these infrared surveillance cameras?”
Both of them were stunned as they looked at each other, puzzled.
Anna nodded. “Yeah, I was too careless.”
Alex helplessly said, “I find you’re kind of amateur, could it be that you are a part-timer in Divine Constabulary?”
Anna fumed and said, “I’m an official member! Isn’t that just an alarm? Why would we need to dismantle it beforehand? It’s just the same if I barge in openly.”
Her team member earlier had given her the accurate bearings of Pepper’s location.
The two proceeded to rush to the north of the manor while ignoring the alarms.
Just then, a man in black came to meet up with them. He was a member of Divine Constabulary and a member of Sky’s team as well. He was in charge of gathering information and scouting the area.
“She’s in there.” The man pointed toward one of the maids’ bedrooms but his expression seemed odd.
Alex could sense an abnormal level of hormones within the man.
Bang!
Anna, the brute woman, immediately kicked the door open.
At the same time, Alex noticed that the man in black quickly retreated into the dark.
After all, he wasn’t in the fighting units. Since Anna came and took over the situation, he had successfully completed his mission and he could leave immediately, as if he had never come here in the first place.
Screams could be heard from the inside of the room. Alex was quite familiar with this room, so he stepped forward to turn on the light switch. After switching on the lights, he saw John in disheveled clothes, whereas their target, Pepper Kimmich, was wearing her clothes.
“Oh Lord, my eyes!” Alex froze for a while and then smiled. “Oh, it’s Secretary Kimmich. Are you still working this late at night? A secretary’s job must be pretty hard!”
Only now did Alex realize the reason that guy earlier had such an odd expression.
“Alex Rockefeller, it’s you. Why are you here? Who let you in?” John was enraged. After all, no one would be in a good mood after being exposed at a time like this, especially when he saw Alex whom he hated so much.
Pepper was shocked as well. She was more terrified than John. That was because she, who tried to assassinate Alex on the hillside just a while ago, learned about Black Skeleton’s death. However, she believed that her identity had not been exposed. After all, she had been hiding her identity for years safe and sound.
Hence, she knew that she had to keep herself calm and act normally in moments like these. This was why she still came over to the manor after receiving orders from John.
Alex said calmly, “This is my manor, would it be a problem if I come here and walk around? There’s still one month to go till it’s returned to its rightful owner. So, don’t you dare destroy anything… Such sneaky activities, you should avoid doing them too!”
Pepper, who looked shy and embarrassed, was on the verge of tears. She really did look like a weak secretary, who was forced to obey her boss’s irrational orders. She might as well get an Oscar with such acting skills.
Anna didn’t want to dawdle any longer, she wanted to reveal her identity and arrest Pepper. Suddenly, a group of people rushed over, they were the security guards and the members of Rockefellers. They had come over to check out what the nuisance was all about.
Even Bill came while being pushed over by one of the caretakers.
“Ah!”
“Hubby, why are you here? Aren’t you working abroad? You… Ah! You two actually…” Olivia was deeply shocked as soon as she saw John and Pepper in such states. She only regained her composure after a while. In the next second, she madly rushed up to Pepper and attacked her, scratching her face and pulling her hair.
In order to hide her identity, Pepper didn’t even retaliate despite possessing a cultivation base of Intermediate-Royal rank. She just dodged a few times, letting her face get scratched till several bloody wounds surfaced.
John pitied Pepper, hence he pushed Olivia hard, causing her to fall to the ground.
Olivia was really livid by his actions.
Pepper sobbed uncontrollably. She hurriedly lowered her head and said “sorry” before trying to leave the room while covering her face. Everything unfolded just as she planned, as if all of this was natural and flawless.
However, at this moment, Anna blocked Pepper’s way and said calmly, “You can’t escape now.”
