Ch. 16..20: The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife Chapter 16-20

Chapter 16: Chapter 16 – His fiancé

Arriving at the office, Robin was met with his secretary, Aria. She was very diligent and had worked with Robin for four years. During those days, Robin had wanted to hit on her but Aria was saved in time with a marriage proposal, just a few weeks after she began working with Robin. A month after the proposal, she got married. No matter Robin’s wild life with women, the married ones were a no-go area for him.

"Mr. Jewel, we have an invitation to the Count President’s Birthday party in two weeks. There is also an invitation for a trade union for gold miners. Also, the fashion...."

"That’s enough, Aria, can’t you breathe?" Robin was irritated by her continuous rattling but Aria was confused. Robin was the one who trained her that way. He was very busy and did not like to be kept waiting. Aria stared at him with wide eyes, her feet rooting to the spot. This has been their routine for the past four years. Robin took deep breaths and stared at her.

"Call Suzy to see me in my office in ten minutes and send those reports to my email."

Aria nodded her head and sat back in her chair, a faraway look in her eyes whiles she did as told. Mr. Jewel’s mood today was terrible. Suzy was one of Robin’s flings and as soon as she received the call, it was as if she was in the building, appearing within a short time.

Without a word to Aria, she hastened past her to the CEO’s office. As soon as the door shut, Aria could not hear what was going on inside but when she received responses for the emails she sent to her boss in less than two minutes, she was amazed that Robin could work with a hot woman like Suzy in his office.

Two hours later, a sophisticated woman arrived with brunette hair. "I’m here to see Robin," she smiled sweetly and spoke. She held a food pack in hand, expecting to be let into the office instantly.

"Do you have an appointment? What is your name?" Aria asked. She was just doing her job but Zayla was angered by the probing, wiping the fake smile on her face.

"I don’t need an appointment to see my fiancé."

"Mr. Jewel is already married," Aria informed her innocently. Perhaps the woman did not know but what surprised Aria was Zayla’s response.

"And he’s also divorced. I am his fiancé and My name is Zayla Chance. I want to see him now," she said authoritatively. Aria recalled that when her boss brought Sabrina for the first time, he had introduced her to everyone himself and told them to always give her access to his office. Surprisingly, she never even came to visit her husband in the office after that so Aria never saw much of her but this woman...

"Ma’am, I don’t have any record on you," she said after typing a few things on her key board and looking at the screen of the computer.

"I will just tell Robin that you don’t want me to see him," Zayla raged and brought out her phone to dial a number. Aria was restless. Her boss was in a bad mood and she did not know if this was a good idea.

"Ma’am, please wait, he’s in a meeting and you can’t go in now," she said politely but Zayla did not agree with her. Robin should make time for her, meeting or not.

"I am his fiancé. He would not mind."

Zayla walked past her to the door that had ’The President’s office,’ printed in gold metal plates. She opened the door, freezing at the sounds coming out from the inner room. Aria heard it too, pretending to be busy with something when Zayla turned to look at her before closing the door. These things were normal to her and she wondered what was going to happen since this woman said she was the boss’s fiancé.

"Robin, you are hurting me. Be gentle please," A female voice cried from the inner room, soon followed by a hoarse one.

"Shut up bitch, I fuck you how I want. Be still. Fuck! You did not even make me come after forty minutes. Get out!"

"I can suck it. A blow job will...."

"I said get out!" Robin roared.

The door pushed open and a naked woman stood in front of Zayla with her dress in hand. She quickly wore her dress and Zayla could guess that she never even wore pants under the dress when she arrived at the office. Seeing the woman run out of the office wobblily without looking back, Zayla wondered why Robin had refused to touch her but was still doing it with his whores.

Zayla’s heart sunk. Sabrina lived with this, but could she? Maybe it was because Sabrina never loved Robin as much as Zayla did, for which reason she could endure it because Zayla’s eyes were already glistening with tears. At the same time the door to the inner room pushed open. Robin was annoyed and his eyes emitted fire.

"What are you doing here?" He roared, startling Zayla, who instinctively took a step back. Robin was remorseful for how he yelled at her but still had fire in his eyes, as he had not had his release no matter the number of times, he banged the bitch. It was good when he fucked his now ex-wife the night before the divorce. He went four rounds because he wanted to punish her but yet, he had cum four times in all but the bitch Suzy was suddenly complaining, even when he had not cum.

"I brought you food."

"Oh, great!" Robin’s eyes lit as he sat at the coffee table and run his fingers through his hair. This was his first time having this problem of not releasing and it made him uneasy, he began to sweat whiles Zayla set the food before him. He gulped down a glass of water before picking the cutlery.

Since he had not proposed to Zayla yet, she did not know her stand in his life, thereby hiding the pain in her eyes.

She had made his favorite pasta. The aroma was nothing compared to that of Sabrina but it looked good. Robin munched it once, twice, his face contouring into a frown. He munched it thrice,

"Spew!"

He spat on the floor, wiping his tongue with a napkin. "What is this, Zayla?" He roared; Zayla paled instantly.

Chapter 17: Chapter 17 – Tricked by the maid

Earlier on, Zayla decided to put her plans into action, feeling uncomfortable. Her cooking skills were terrible and the chef would be arriving in two days. Left with no option, she asked the maid for help, a little too rudely.

"Mae, right?" Zayla stopped the maid who was mopping the floor.

"Yes ma’am," the maid nodded and responded. Zayla bit her lips. She could not let the maid know about her weakness so she snarled,

"You are too slow with cleaning. Are you even a professional?"

The maid was confused. She was doing the job of three people and thought to be complimented and not reprimanded. "Ma’am, we are supposed to be three and the rest are late. This house is big."

"Shut up or I’ll fire you. You are a maid. Maids take instructions, they don’t talk back," Zayla back at her. The maid, who looked less than twenty years had tears in her eyes, except that she was strong enough to not let it fall.

"Sorry."

"To the kitchen. You have to help me to cook," Zayla demanded authoritatively.

"But ma’am," the wanted to let her know that it was not part of the contract she signed with the agency but Zayla did not give her the chance. If she wanted something, she just had to get it.

"I said shut up. It’s just pasta. You can’t say that you have not cooked it before. Now show me the steps," she dragged the maid to the kitchen and placed her demand. The maid was not stupid, seeing through her trick. She realized that the spoiled madam did not know how to cook. An evil smirk appeared at the corner of her lips. She was sure to report to the agency to send her to another house but this arrogant madam had to pay.

Zayla realized that the maid tricked her, kept telling her to add more salt and spice. The fire in Robin’s eyes burned. "You should not have cooked if you do not know how," He said in an irritable tone before picking the intercom and said,

"Aria, order food for me."

"Ha?" Aria was shocked. She did not know what her boss liked since he never ate in the office before. The only thing she usually served him was coffee. No one knew that anytime Robin ate breakfast at home, it carried him till he went back for supper. If he could not go home, then he’d endure the hunger. Since he had not eaten well for the past two days, it was now unbearable for him.

"Pasta will do," he said and hung up. He saw that Zayla was still sitting there in a dazed form. Not used to pampering a woman or being romantic, he said irritably, "I think you should go home and have some rest. I will join you later."

Zayla did not refuse. She already wanted to after the shame of not being able cook his favorite food right. It was good that Aria was not seated when she left the office due to how arrogantly she had entered form before.

At Robin’s penthouse, Zayla was on the phone after getting back from her visit to Robin’s office which had gone wrong. "Dad, I have been trying to reach you for hours."

"Sorry darling, you know the challenges in the company. If we don’t get five billion in two months, we would have to sell it."

Zayla smiled. The solution to her father’s problem was in the palm of her hand. "Don’t worry. Sabrina divorced Robin so he’s mine now."

"Hmmm, you are more competent than I thought," her father chuckled from the end of the line. He did not regret bringing Zayla back from Europe when his company was facing challenges. He was sure that if Robin’s father had not threatened Zayla to leave, she would have been the rightful Mr. Jewel.

"I know," Zayla said proudly, rubbing her stomach. It was the reason she had gotten this far in such a short time. With everything she achieved so far, she was sure that very soon, everyone in NY city would bow to her for her smartness.

"Now, get that villa too. I don’t care how you do it. Threaten him with an abortion or better still, let him marry you. Do anything to get that villa, do you understand?" Her father said seriously. All he wanted was the villa but her daughter was in love with Robin so it was a win-win situation.

"What exactly do we have in the villa?" Zayla asked. Her father has always mentioned the villa and she had been there. Aside from its luxuries which she could get in another one as Robin had promised, there was nothing special. It was the reason why she finally let it be when Robin mentioned that she had him. Now, the revelation of its worth made her shiver with regret.

"It’s something worth billions, if not trillions."

Zayla was in gear two at the news, never knowing before that the villa was worth that much. Blood drained from her face as she said,

"Dad, we lost the villa."

Chapter 18: Chapter 18 – Dreaming about his ex-wife

Her father’s voice was not only filled with shock but was also cold. "What? Are you so useless?" She guessed that should she have been in a close proximity; he could have hit her.

"I didn’t know it was worth so much. Robin said it was only worth sixty million and he was going to build a bigger one for me."

Irritation met her ears at the end of the line. "It’s not the value of the villa I’m talking about. There is a hidden treasure of the Jewels. Something that Robin is not aware of."

Zayla went into deep thought at how the villa was the only thing Sabrina wanted. ’Could she have known?’

"Dad, do you think that Sabrina is aware of this?" Zayla’s lips were already trembling. The bitch seems to have outwitted her again.

"Possibly. She was the closest to Robin’s late father."

Zayla’s hopes thinned. She paused for a while before she said, "Robin gave her the villa as an alimony since she refused the cars, houses and two hundred million he wanted to give her."

Dismay laced her father’s tone as he agreed, "Then she knows of the hidden treasure in the villa. Use your brain, Zayla. Get that villa or we are finished."

"Alright dad, I will do my best," Zayla sighed in resignation. For as long as she carried Robin’s child, he should be willing to do anything for her.

"Not just your best. Get it done!" He father said in a commanding tone that made her jump from the receiving side of the phone.

"Okay."

The moment she hung up, she dialed Robin’s number. He answered it on the first ring, which made her happy.

"Darling, it’s late. Are you coming home?"

"Yes, I’m on my way," Robin said in a slightly irritated tone at the mention of the word darling.

"Should I cook for you?" Zayla asked, thinking of doing a better job this time. Good thing the maid had left before she returned. She would have bathed her with acid. To her disappointment, Robin’s response was an instant,

"No!" He subtly added upon realizing that he was too harsh. "Just rest, okay?"

After Zayla hang up, she went to shower and put on a little make up with a sexy lingerie. She spread rose petals on the bed, right to the door and light some sweet-smelling candles. After that, she put on slow music and waited patiently till she heard the front door open.

Her lips pressed together and she smiled. She heard footsteps and waited. She waited and waited. She did not know how long she kept waiting but it seemed too long for a walk up the stairs to her room. What was wrong? She opened the door and checked the next room. It was empty.

There were just three bedrooms since Robin was going to build a bigger villa for them to be ready before the child was born. Checking the other bedroom, it was also empty.

She descended the stairs and right there on the couch, the man was deep asleep. Zayla frowned, her nails digging into her palms, displeasure lashing her from all angles. But then, she could not give up.

She walked to the couch, gently climbed on top of Robin and pecked him on the lips. There was no movement, just a little frown, but he remained in a deep sleep. Zayla began to pull down his pants when his hand grabbed hers. "What are you doing?"

There was a deep frown on his face. As soon as he laid down and closed his eyes, he saw Sabrina welcoming him home. She was telling him how sorry she was for leaving and how she was willing to return to being a submissive wife. Robin was about to kiss her when a strange scent hit his nostrils. He woke up before realizing that he was dreaming about his ex-wife again. His pants were also sliding down his slender thighs, his hand caught the culprit.

"Robin, we are together and my body wants it too. Why should you do it with other women when I’m here?" Zayla pouted and asked, her eyes moist. Robin lifted himself to a sitting position before staring at her. His gaze softened. He pulled her into his embrace and said, "I’m sorry, but I can’t do it with you."

Zayla froze, and her eyes turned into a pool of water. "Why Robin, I’m I not attractive enough? It’s not as if we have not done it before and the doctor said it’s okay."

Robin shook his head helplessly. He could not feel any attraction between them and came up with a good excuse to not make her feel bad. Not after she saved his life. He said softly, "Zayla, I promised to love only you and I have not changed my mind but, in your condition, I can’t risk hurting the child. The pregnancy is very young. I don’t feel comfortable."

Ah, Zayla’s hopes crashed but all was not lost. He had a good point but she also had a better one. "The doctor said it’s fine. He said I could have sex for as long as I don’t feel any discomfort."

Robin stared into her pitiful eyes. Indeed, she was a woman and no matter how he wanted to avoid it; he could not do so forever. "I don’t care what the doctor said. Maybe we should check again with another hospital because I don’t feel it’s right."

Zayla’s heart was beating like a drum. Robin had already pulled away and was about to stand up when she clung to his thighs. She forced a smile, not caring if it reached her eyes. "It’s okay, let’s go to bed."

Robin removed her hand gently and pressed it a little, "No, I still have some work to do and will be in the study." It was obvious that he was lying so he explained further, "I had a little nap just now so that should work for me and Zayla, please don’t use such strong perfumes. I don’t like it."

Sabrina never used perfumes except mild deodorants and her natural scent calmed him. Zayla was in a bad shape. She did not know Robin’s likes and dislikes but how would she when he kept avoiding being any close to her? Robin was already walking up the stairs when his phone rang.

He answered it when he saw it was his best friend, Daniel. "Why aren’t you sleeping?"

"Like it matters to you. You should have at least told me that you were divorced," Daniel said in annoyance. Robin froze. Seems like he did not want anyone to know. He quickly entered the study and locked it. The night at the club, he did not intend to give Daniel any details but ended up not asking for the favor too.

"How did you know? He asked, almost in a whisper. Daniel was annoyed that Robin was treating him like an outsider but Robin was indeed hoping that Sabrina would return to beg him, just like he dreamt.

"Oh, stop it, Robin, I saw ex-wife with her new boyfriend. I must confess that he is quite romantic."

’Smash!’

The phone in Robin’s hand hit the floor and broke in pieces. It was not an accident. He smashed his phone because of the anger he felt at hearing the news. Just when he punched the wall, his landline began to ring. Daniel was not done tormenting his best friend. Not after his constant denial that he did not love Sabrina. He continued calling Robin through his land line until it was answered.

Chapter 19: Chapter 19 – Daniel’s probing

The land line was connected to three different places. The master bedroom, the living room and the study. Those are the places Robin knew he’d be at most times. He was not sure whether Zayla was still in the living room and answered it quickly before she did.

"Daniel, I’m busy and Zayla is here. Let’s meet at the club on Friday."

"Wait a minute, you mean you are scared of Zayla? Since when did you begin to fear any woman?" Daniel asked stupefied from the end of the line.

Robin was defensive. "I told you she saved my life before."

Both Daniel and Robin were into women so Daniel had no idea that Robin had divorced Sabrina because of Zayla. He thought Robin was keeping both women. "So, you left your wife because of her? Robin, if I met a woman like Sabrina before, I wouldn’t have given other women attention. Even when you cheated countless times, she still stayed," Daniel pointed out.

"That’s because she knows that she’s barren. Don’t you think that I also feel cheated? The fuck Dan, I fucked Sabrina every night I went home but nothing to show. I fucked Zayla once, drunk and tadaah! She’s pregnant. And out of nowhere, Sabrina has a fucking man beside her."

"What if Sabrina is pregnant too? Will you leave Zayla? Or will it be for her new boyfriend?"

"Did you even hear what I said? Sabrina is barren," Robin insisted without a glint of remorse.

"Do you have a medical proof?" Daniel asked, not believing Robin’s accusation.

"Well, no but I have been with her for three years and Zayla is my testimony of the fact that Sabrina is the barren one. If I had given even one percent of the sperms I gave her to other women, I guess I would be having a school full of kids by now."

"So, if Sabrina is miraculously pregnant, you will let go Zayla go-"

"Zayla saved my life so she’s not going anywhere. She is the one I should have married before she left to Europe without a trace. She told me that my father forced her. Besides, I did not divorce Sabrina. She asked for it because of her envies of Zayla, which I see to be hypocritical when she already has a man."

"But you could have gotten a new house for Zayla, not taking her to your matrimonial home," Daniel pointed out again. They both loved women but Daniel was unmarried so it made sense. For Robin, no one knew the triggers, especially when he claimed to do it with his wife whenever he was home. He went on business trips a few times which meant that ninety percent of the time, he was home.

"She wanted to abort the child if I treated her like a mistake."

"I hope Sabrina gets pregnant for her new boyfriend soon. They look very cute together."

"Shut up, Dan, shut the fuck up!" Robin yelled, dropping the handset simultaneously. It did not ring again but Robin was never the same after Dan’s throbbing. There was no way Robin would hurt the woman who gave him life. For this reason, Sabrina was the ultimate sacrifice. It was better that way.

The next day, Robin woke up, following a knock on his door. He lifted his head from the table drowsily. He was working on his desk in the study until dozing off a few hours ago.

"Darling, are you there?" Zayla’s voice resounded from the door. Robin combed his hair with his fingers. He had sent an email last night to his secretary to purchase and phone and deliver it to the penthouse for him after discarding the shattered phone.

"Come in, Zayla," Robin said in annoyance due to that word ’darling’ again. "Just call me Robin. That name sounds foreign to my ears."

Zayla was in the room when Robin said those words. She was not happy about not using pet names but maintained her smile, "I read that pet names are good for lovers," she walked around and sat on the desk in front of him. She still wore a transparent lingerie, though different from that of last night. "You are still in your work clothes," She observed whiles her legs were spread apart in front of Robin, her red thong on display.

Robin pulled back his swivel chair and stood up simultaneously. "Right. Let me shower. I think I’m running late and the chef will be here soon." Zayla’s shoulders dropped instantly.

At JC Minerals, Sabrina was at the underground car pack with Devin. It’s been fifteen minutes since they arrived but both of them remained in the car because of an important discussion.

"Sabrina, you are carrying Robin’s child. By three to four months, the pregnancy will begin to show and he will know he is the father," Devin reminded Sabrina. She smiled, knowing why Devin was doing this. In the past, he hated men coming close to her but now,

"Did we not agree for you to be my pretend boyfriend?" She asked seriously. Devin smiled with assurance and explained,

"We did but what happens if Robin finds out the truth? He doesn’t know because he doesn’t care but as soon as he finds out you are pregnant, he would begin to dig. He has the resources."

"So what are you suggesting?"

"Martin is a good man and he has good plans for you. Since high school, all he ever talked about was you. Even after your marriage, he never gave up on you. Please give him a chance, Brina."

Chapter 20: Chapter 20 – Sabrina’s resolve

Sabrina shook her head and smiled bitterly. When she was at the crossroads with Robin since she could not endure sharing her home with another woman, Devin was the only light in her dark tunnel. Unfortunately, he was making her regret counting on him for help.

"Truthfully Devin, I’m disappointed in you. After all, I have been through, do you think I would even consider having another man in my life? My wounds are still deep and my pain is fresh. Now you are telling me this."

Devin was overwhelmed by how everything turned out. This was not the way he wanted it to be. To him, his sister needed someone to treat her like the woman she was but he also forgot that it was too early to make such suggestions. Regret was the only thing in his heart. He leaned his head against the headrest with his eyes closed in deep thought. When he opened them, they were red, as if he was holding tears from falling.

"I’m sorry Sabrina, just forget about everything. I was just concerned because I feared it would be too late if we wasted any more time. Martin could have any woman he wanted, except that he wanted only you. I understand that you don’t want to enter into any relationship so let’s stick to the first plan and I will do my best to protect you."

Sabrina sighed. She did not understand her reason for suddenly feeling guilty about the whole thing. She loved Devin but the only person she made sacrifices for was Robin, while Devin has always been the one to put her first, even in his relationships. If he met a woman Sabrina did not like, then the bitch would get dumped. Remembering those times, Sabrina felt like she overreacted. Perhaps, there was more to the story than she ever anticipated.

"What’s in it for you?" She suddenly asked. Devin frowned a little before asking in return,

"Ah?"

Sabrina chuckled, imprinted with the knowledge that he did not understand her question. "I said, what’s in it for you? You won’t just try to convince me to give Martin a chance if you did not have anything to gain from it."

Devin turned to his side where he was facing Sabrina. He said truthfully, "Yes. You are right. He is into leather fashion and me, clothing so we wanted to partner and become the biggest clothing and leather fashion line in NY city but it’s okay. With hard work, I can still achieve my dream of being the best in the industry."

"I will see what I can do," Sabrina said blankly after hearing his reason for the suggestion. She did not intend to date Martin or anything but as a woman, there were always ways around these things. It was time to use her femininity positively. Also, she was no longer the little girl Devin dotted on for all these years. She was a woman who had experienced both the good and bad side of life.

Devin shook his head. He never should have brought it up because if Sabrina got hurt again, there would be no words enough to describe the pain he’d feel. "No Brina, please don’t. I already feel ashamed that I even thought about it. If you do it, I won’t be able to get over it."

"But it’s to help with your business, right?" Sabrina asked with determination cruising through her veins and eyes. Devin discerned that she was not going to retreat from her decision of helping so he contended,

"Forget it. I’m still rich."

"And you want to be the best," Sabrina overruled. Devin did not argue but thought to talk Martin out of it.

"Just forget it. Let me walk you to the office," he said before walking around to open the door for her. When they reached Sabrina’s office, Lizzy was not seated so she dropped the food they bought for both of them and only took that of her dad to his office with Devin.

"Good morning dad, we brought your lunch," Sabrina smiled and hugged her father. He smiled back before asking curiously,

"How did it go?"

"Positive," Sabrina said without hesitation. Her father’s smile widened as he said,

"Congratulations. I still have a grandchild so not everything was lost."

"I’m happy that you think that way," Sabrina said with teary eyes. It was true. She had something from her one-sided love. She had someone she could channel it all to and forget Robin for good.

"Do you need rest? You don’t have to pressure yourself," her father said with concern. He was already worried about his unborn grandchild. Sabrina’s heart filled with joy at how much the news made her father happy but she was determined to better her life and was not going to spend it at home doing nothing.

"Dad. This is my time to work," she said with a burning desire, making it difficult for her father to discourage her.

"Okay then. We have a meeting with some clients who came from Asia," he announced. Sabrina smiled, seeming ready for the challenges ahead.

"It’s a pleasure to meet them."

Devin was at peace. He did not get what he wanted but was glad to see his foster father happy after many years. "I will go back to my office now. I will pick up Sabrina in the evening since Lizzy is still working on her closet."

"You want to work with Lizzy?" His foster father asked seriously. Devin nodded before responding, "Don’t worry, she’ll do all the work." The family of three burst into laughter before Lizzy walked in, each of them trying to sniffle their laughter.
