Ch. 326..330: The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife Chapter 326-330

Chapter 326: Chapter 326 - I’m planning my wedding

"What does she want?" Robin asked coldly, Aria hesitated before replying,

"She said that she has to see you and is willing to book an appointment. I want to confirm the most convenient time for you."

’To book an appointment?’ Robin repeated in his mind.

It was good that both Daniel and Devin were there so this was the best time.

"No need for an appointment. Let her in," Robin said over the phone, and after hanging up, he remembered something and said to the two men,

"Anyway guys, I’m planning my wedding."

He said planning his wedding, to convey the message that he didn’t need anyone’s help.

He wanted to do everything by himself. The two men were taken aback but Devin was the first to speak.

"You are? Won’t you hold on until this Mara craze is over?" He asked seriously but Robin frowned a little before shaking his head.

He did not understand the reason why he should put his plans on hold because of a little fly called Mara.

"I’m not afraid of Mara and I believe that the only reason she would want to disguise herself is because she is afraid of me."

He paused, gazing at the questioning looks on their faces before he asked,

"Why do I have to be afraid of someone who is already afraid of me?" He asked thoughtfully, both men were nodding their heads in agreement.

The recent attack was initiated in Robin’s absence and though it was done by Martin, Mara took advantage of the situation.

However, though Robin could deal with them, Devin still feared for his sister.

"But Sabrina..."

Robin knew what he wanted to say at the mention of Sabrina and cut him off curtly,

"I don’t intend to undertake any more travels and if I find Mara, I will cremate her alive. As for now, I will just enjoy my marriage preparation and keep safe."

There was a lot of confidence and calm in his voice which extended to the two men around him.

"You are right. Plastic surgery would even take months," Daniel said thoughtfully and Devin added,

"Or, she might not even come at all."

Robin was nodding his head. If Mara was wise, then she would disappear from the face of the earth so that Robin would not find her or Martin but if not, he would still be ready for them.

"All the options you mentioned are great but you know what? I just know that I am ready for her because I will always be there for Sabrina, with or without Mara being a threat, and will always have enough security around her."

Due to what happened previously, Robin extended security to Cobby’s mansion and everywhere that Sabrina was likely to be at every point in time.

Robin continued to say, "I already learned from my mistakes and now that we are engaged, Sabrina would not question my reason for having a lot of security around her."

His expression suddenly turned cold and his voice was dripping with venom when he spoke again in a warning tone,

"Also, if anyone tries, and I mean to try because I would not allow any Tom, Dick, or Harry to even come a meter close to her. I don’t have to waste time because no one would hurt Sabrina, ever again," her vowed.

He couldn’t get over the fact that Martin had even pulled Sabrina’s hair during the abduction.

Daniel and Devin were stunned by Robin’s demeanor, as Devin caught something in his previous words.

"Wait, how did you get her to agree to marry you again?"

Robin was a little saddened as he explained,

"I know that she’s still afraid that if she signs the marriage certificate, things will go back to how they were but I intend to prove her wrong. Her everyday happiness is my daily goal," he said with resolve.

The door pushed open and Shandra walked in before Robin remembered authorizing her.

Then again, he wondered why she took so long because he had even forgotten about her.

Shandra was stunningly dressed in her office wear but the skirt was short, exposing her slender, sexy legs.

She had a flirtatious smile on her face which froze at the sight of the two other men.

"Robin..."

"Shandra," Robin cut in and responded, knowing that Aria had not told her about the two men inside.

Her disappointed gaze gave Robin immense joy. Devin frowned a little at the sight of Shandra again and remembering what Sabrina had done to her at the hospital, he smiled a little and said,

"I will leave you two."

Robin shook his head, as disappointment flashed in his eyes at the fact that Devin did not get the hint.

Also, if he allowed Devin to leave, he would not be able to stop Daniel if he equally decided to.

"We haven’t finished talking," he said sternly to Devin before he turned to Shandra once again, saying,

"Shandra, I don’t have all day."

Shandra felt awkward as Robin had not even offered her a seat.

She had no idea he had company and had been on the phone after Aria had given her the go-ahead.

She only hangs up to hear Aria telling her that Robin was waiting and she was excited, since she had someone spying on Sabrina, confirming that she was in her office and not with Robin.

Little did she know it would be worse.

Composing herself and hiding her displeasure behind a forced smile that did not reach her eyes, she said hesitantly,

"I came to remind you about the meeting with my dad."

"Aria would communicate my decision to you in an hour. Is there anything else?" Robin asked indifferently, Shandra felt as if she was seeing a different person and with the two men around, she didn’t feel comfortable.

"No."

Robin nodded his head and said to her,

"As you can see, I’m quite busy so you will hear from my secretary."

"Right," Shandra forced a smile and walked out, disappointment screaming at her.

Instantly, Robin picked up his intercom.

"Aria, next time any female except my wife wants to see me, for whatever reason, please come with the person."

Aria was shocked and replied, "Mr. Jewel, I don’t understand."

Chapter 327: Chapter 327 – This is a great stress reliever

Aria understood what Robin’s words meant but they just seemed too strange for her since Robin had always taken care of his guests by himself.

Robin was getting annoyed and sternly requested,

"Repeat what I just said."

Aria realized she had been caught. There was no escaping with the trick that she did not hear him.

"Sir, if I understand your words, then I have to be at your meetings involving any female."

"Correct," Robin agreed and ended the call.

After that, he called Sabrina on his line and as soon as her voice reached his ears, he asked,

"My queen, do you think we should go ahead with the Casino collaboration?"

Both Devin and Daniel were shocked to see him seeking Sabrina’s approval for a business collaboration.

They wondered since when Sabrina became his business partner and they also could not help but notice the way everything about Robin softened when the theme of the discussion was between him and Sabrina.

They could not hear Sabrina’s response but guessed that things had improved between them, as they wondered exactly what happened in Paris.

"Since you are getting bodyguards, yes," Sabrina agreed from her side of the line.

She didn’t want her insecurities concerning Shandra to destroy Robin’s business opportunities.

She was beginning to trust him but since she could not trust Shandra, she added the part of the bodyguards.

"Okay but..." Robin paused, not knowing if what he was going to say was right.

Whereas, Sabrina was quite curious and asked him from her side of the line,

"What?"

"I wanted to know if you want to come. I want to schedule it for Friday evening," Robin asked, Sabrina frowned a little from her side of the line.

She didn’t want to visit a casino in her condition but did not know how to say it without offending him.

During their time of marriage, he never took her out so now that he was doing it, she did not want things to be as they were before.

"If you observed, my bump grew larger this morning and I think I have to begin shopping for maternity clothes."

Robin smiled broadly since he had indeed noticed it but because they woke up late and were in a hurry, he didn’t comment on it.

He replied to Daniel and Devin’s amazement,

"If you haven’t noticed, you are the sexiest pregnant woman ever. So, are you in?" He asked in a seductive tone, his mood suddenly brightening up.

Well, Sabrina couldn’t resist the offer since she never visited the casino before.

The only time she visited the club was when Robin came to mess things up for her.

"If you say so, then yes."

Robin sighed with relief. He was happy that Sabrina agreed to come with him; if not, he could have kissed that business deal goodbye.

"Alright. I will make arrangements for the weekend and one more thing," he suddenly remembered and stated, Sabrina asked again,

"What is that?"

Robin laughed before turning serious, "I love you."

Sabrina laughed from the end of the line before she responded, "I love you too."

When Robin hung up, Daniel was gawking strangely at him.

"Robin, did something happen to your DNA?"

"Why?" Robin furrowed his brow and asked, Daniel was still staring at him like a stranger.

"You were never the romantic type. Are you sure you are my best friend?" He asked seriously, Robin smiled at the thought of Sabrina.

Of late, his sleep had been sweet and peaceful because Sabrina had been by his side and when she gave herself to him again, it felt as if he had reached heaven and he didn’t want to abuse it.

It was also strange, how his sexual disorder suddenly disappeared. It was obvious that everything was in his mind.

The moment he put his mind to it, he was headed for success.

"I’m only like this for my wife. I love to hear the sound of her laughter," he said with a lingering smile, Devin shook his head and asked in a daze,

"Robin, did you get some in Paris?"

He remembered telling Sabrina to loosen up and wondered if she did.

Also, Robin was different from the man he used to see on the news all those years he was married to Sabrina.

It made him happy that his sister found happiness after all the pain and sorrow.

Robin was not ready to discuss his sexual life with Devin, and not even Daniel, as he remembered how Zayla had gotten information about the problem in his marriage and used it against him.

Some things were better left private.

"What is your problem?" He asked half-jokingly before adding, "Just get out already and just so you know. I have been fooled once and I would never allow it to happen again," he said seriously.

Daniel knew he wasn’t joking. He has always been serious minded and his only weakness before was women.

Now that he was able to overcome that temptation, nothing and no one could overcome him.

"I’m very happy to hear that. I’m having dinner at the mansion. Lizzy invited me so will you be there?" Daniel asked and Robin smiled, remembering the gift he bought for Coby.

"Yes. I have a gift for my father-in-law."

"What about me?" Daniel frowned and asked, Robin shook his head and spoke half-jokingly,

"Just get out, Daniel."

"I’m leaving too. Catch you in the evening," Devin said.

Robin did not stop him this time and after they left, he received a call from his lawyer handling Zayla’s case and after some talk, he ordered lunch for himself and Sabrina.

During lunchtime, he picked up the food and went to the flower shop.

After picking up the most beautiful roses, he drove to Sabrina’s office.

Knocking once, he pushed the door open, though he had been informed that Sabrina was in a meeting.

Seeing the roses, Sabrina excused herself from the meeting and met him at the door.

Taking the bouquet, she inhaled the scent and smiled,

"This is a great stress reliever."

Robin was glad to have followed his instincts. Sometimes, he felt there were so many flowers at home and did not have to buy more but after seeing her reaction, he decided to get it for her every day.

He was about to say something when Sabrina’s phone began to ring. Seeing the caller ID to be Lizzy, Sabrina was torn between her meeting, Robin, and her sister...

Chapter 328: Chapter 328 – All I want is to see this smile on your face everyday

"Just a moment please," Sabrina stared at her executives apologetically before she turned to Robin, who was already sitting on the visitors’ sofa, taking interest in the news on the LED screen, though the volume was low.

"Liz-"

Lizzy cut in and said, "Brina, I will be in your office in an hour."

Since she said she would be there in an hour, Sabrina decided to hasten things up and replied over the phone,

"Alright. I’m in my office."

Though Sabrina’s executives were waiting for her, she still went on to discard the old flowers in her vase, before arranging the ones Robin brought.

As he stared at how carefully she handled each bouquet, his heart swelled up and he said,

"I’m glad you like it and I also figured that you will forget to have lunch so I decided that we should have lunch together."

It was only then that Sabrina realized that the bag he held in his hand was their lunch. She smiled at his thoughtfulness and asked him,

"Is it lunchtime already?"

Robin shook his head disapprovingly,

"See? My guess is right. You haven’t thought about food. I will wait until you finish your meeting," he said softly, the executives in Sabrina’s office could not help turning their heads to see if this was indeed Sabrina’s ex-husband.

He seemed to have changed a lot after that public show at Sabrina’s birthday party.

Nevertheless, no matter the thoughts crossing their minds, they dared not voice them out for fear of Robin.

They knew that even though he did not work directly with them, he could still fire them if he wanted to.

Sabrina nodded her head and it took another six minutes before she was able to round up her meeting.

After her executives left, she went to sit beside Robin and was swayed by the delicious aroma of the food.

Her heart warmed greatly at the way Robin was taking care of every little thing concerning her.

"You are so full of surprises," she acknowledged since they hadn’t arranged to have lunch together but Robin had a confession to make.

"The truth is, I couldn’t stay without seeing your beautiful face. I just missed you so much."

"Robin, you have been so full of flattery," she smiled and said but Robin shook his head.

"It’s the truth, My queen. Now let me feed you."

Sabrina was all smiles throughout the meal and when they were done, Robin packed all the leftovers to discard on his way.

He did not try to get intimate with her knowing that the door wasn’t locked and though Sabrina was still wearing her engagement ring, he knew that people would still doubt it was from him.

The only thing strong enough to announce their relationship was the wedding he wanted to give her. To let the world know that he belonged to only one woman.

When he reached the door, Sabrina said,

"Wait." She was surprised that Robin had not even kissed her after the wonderful surprise he brought for her.

Robin turned around and saw Sabrina beaming at him.

"Thank you for everything."

Her smile was so captivating, that he wanted to pull her into his arms but from the level they had reached in their relationship, he was certain that if he began anything now, he would not be able to stop.

"You don’t have to thank me for anything. It’s my responsibility. All I want is to see this smile on your face every day," he said tenderly, Sabrina’s heart was moved.

She stepped closer, about to kiss him when the door pushed open and Lizzy walked in.

Disappointment flashed in Sabrina’s eyes at the rude interruption and she couldn’t help asking,

"Lizzy, couldn’t you wait a little?"

Lizzy’s eyes were wide and so was Robin’s. The fact that she felt attracted to him again and also loved him was a plus because the thing was, he wanted to love her, whether she loved him back or not.

"Really? Didn’t you get enough on the trip? Or, didn’t you wake up from the same bed?" Lizzy asked in annoyance before turning to Robin and saying with a smile,

"Hi brother-in-law, I want to speak to my sister in private please."

She had seen the ring in Sabrina’s finger, for which reason she addressed him so.

Robin smiled and shook his head. Then he addressed Sabrina,

"My queen, I will see you in the evening."

Sabrina bobbed her head in agreement knowing that they had to have dinner at her father’s mansion.

As soon as the door shut, Lizzy asked Sabrina,

"Brina, how long should one date before getting married?"

Sabrina let out a frustrated sigh, not wanting to believe that this was the reason why her sister wanted to see her so urgently.

"It depends."

"In my case, what do you think?" Lizzy asked seriously, Sabrina already guessed it was the same problem with her as before, saying truthfully,

"You are engaged so you should have been married by now."

She was thinking that Lizzy was going to announce that she was pregnant but not her reluctance in getting married to Daniel.

Sabrina knew that Robin no longer spent a lot of time with Daniel because of her so it was not strange for him to pressurize Lizzy into marriage since he was quite responsible and disciplined.

He was also in love with her.

Lizzy was speechless, as she did not expect such an answer from Sabrina.

"Brina, are you going to marry Robin again?" She asked seriously and Sabrina was happy that she had already decided that.

"Yes, but that would be after the babies are born. If I get married now, I won’t enjoy it. It would be too stressful," she frowned and said, Lizzy thought otherwise and asked her,

"But the kids? Will they make it better?"

Sabrina hadn’t thought about it that way. All she wanted was to look her best since she was certain that this was going to be the last time she got married but indeed, with twin babies in the picture, would she have the kind of enjoyment she was looking for?

Chapter 329: Chapter 329 - living in the future

"You have a point there but don’t forget that when the baby is out, people can help you to take care of them but nobody can carry the baby for you when you are pregnant," Sabrina said thoughtfully.

Her first marriage was arranged but they were both in love this time and she wanted to enjoy the wedding to the max.

Lizzy was happy because this was the first time, she saw her elder sister glow at the mention of marriage.

"So, when do you want to get married?" Lizzy asked seriously. If her elder sister was going to get married any time soon, then she wanted to wait until then before setting a date for hers.

"Once I recover from childbirth. It will depend on whether I will have a C-section or a natural birth. One cannot tell these things," Sabrina said honestly, as she prepared a test for Robin as well.

Lizzy had no idea about that test as it was only between Sabrina and Matilda.

"I understand. I’m just scared that Daniel might change after marriage. He treats me as if I am his world but I won’t be able to stand it if he ever changes into a bad husband," Lizzy voiced her concern, Sabrina shook her head.

It was clear that Lizzy was saying those things because of Sabrina’s first marriage and she decided to remove the doubts from her kid sister’s mind.

"Lizzy, I don’t know whether Daniel will change in the future for better or worse but you have to understand that everything in life is a risk including the things about love."

Lizzy pursed her lips, as she pondered over her sister’s advice. This was the first time she fell in love with a man and he had a bad reputation with women in the past.

However, she also knew that her sister was right. Daniel was not Robin or any other man and she didn’t have to fear because of her sister’s bad experience.

Even Sabrina was now happy with the same man who treated her badly before.

"You are right. I will set my wedding date to a month from now so tell me, how was Paris," Lizzy asked curiously, excited about whatever magic in Paris, made her sister so happy.

Sabrina smiled upon recalling everything that happened in Paris. It was the best time of her life and she knew that Robin meant everything he said to her over there.

"Lizzy, Paris is the most amazing thing that happened to us. Robin made me so happy, I want to marry him again."

Lizzy smiled broadly at her sister’s happiness. She never imagined it but second chances were sometimes the best.

"I’m so happy to hear that. If anyone deserves to be happy, then that must be you," Lizzy said sincerely, Sabrina smiled and replied,

"Thank you."

Robin arrives at the office to see Vivian Shaw waiting for him at the reception. Aria explained,

"Mr. Jewel, I was just about to call and inform you that Miss Shaw is waiting to see you."

Robin frowned a little since Vivian had not made any prior arrangements but figured it might be business-related.

"It’s all right, you know what to do," Robin smiled faintly and said, Aria nodded her head and beckoned Vivian to follow Robin.

His mood has been very good these days when around Sabrina but desperate women aroused his fury.

Vivian smiled graciously since she would have a private moment with Robin again.

"Sit down," Robin beckoned to the chair in front of him as soon as Vivian walked into his office.

She was all smiles but as soon as she opened her mouth to speak, the door opened and Aria entered the office with her iPad.

Going around, she sat on the chair next to Vivian, the latter frowned a little, irritation evident on her face as she said and asked,

"This is a private meeting so what are you doing here?"

Robin was flung with disappointment, feeling like this meeting was not going to be purely business-related as he perceived but thought to explain things to Vivian.

Perhaps, she was not used to the changes since such meetings used to be between him and her.

"Aria is my secretary and she must be present at all my meetings," Robin said calmly but firmly.

Nevertheless, Vivian could not accept the change, feeling that since Robin used to be attracted to her at the time they worked together, he would feel the same if they were left alone.

Opportunities like this were getting rare with Sabrina in the picture and Vivian did not want what happened the last time between them to happen again.

"But I wanted to speak to you alone," she demanded of Robin, the latter squinted his eyes and asked her,

"Is it about business or personal?"

"Both," Vivian nodded her head elegantly, putting on a prideful look as she responded.

Robin grasped that Vivian had not learned her lesson from the first time but this time, he did not want to involve Sabrina.

"I am only available for business. As for personal, I’m sorry," Robin said sternly.

Aria on the other hand was amused by everything since she was certain that her boss would not bend. She liked this new side of him and wanted him to stay like that.

"Robin, it’s about the past. Please let her out and let’s talk." Vivian’s voice was pleading but Robin was suddenly cold.

"Don’t worry. She is trained to handle confidential matters so your secret is safe with her," he said indifferently, Vivian began to understand slowly that Robin must be in love with his ex-wife like he said before.

Still, she decided to confess her feelings to him and if he rejected her once again, she would be a lady and walk out of his life for good.

"All right. I just want you to know that I’m ready," she smiled flirtatiously and said, Robin frowned a little and asked her,

"Ready for what?"

"For a relationship like you wanted us to have in the past," Vivian said, Robin scoffed.

"Why are you still living in the past when I am living in the future? That Chapter of my life is closed and will never be opened again," he said sternly, Vivian’s eyes turned glassy.

Chapter 330: Chapter 330 – The happiest man in the world

"Robin, your ex-wife..." Vivian was about to say that Robin’s ex-wife wasn’t there so there was no need to pretend but the way she began the conversation caused Robin to even be more upset, as he spoke coldly,

"She is my wife."

Vivian wiped a tear from her eyes as Aria wanted to laugh but held back because of the presence of her boss.

"You have changed," Vivian said in a teary voice and Robin smiled. Indeed, he wanted everybody to know that he was not the same Robin as before.

He was once blind but now that he could see clearly, the only woman he saw was his ex-wife.

"I know so are you ready to discuss business now?" He asked sternly, Vivian could only gaze dreamily at him.

It was a sad turnout but also a hard truth that Robin was now out of her league.

This new aura of his, only made him more attractive to her but unfortunately, he belonged to his ex-wife.

"Of course," Vivian forced a smile and agreed to proceed with the meeting, Robin proceeded as if their little conversation never happened in the first place.

Fourteen minutes later, the meeting was over and Robin instructed Aria to escort Vivian out.

It was good that Vivian was not as troublesome as Shandra so handling her was easier than Robin thought.

Perhaps it was because he dated Shandra in college but as for Vivian, Robin made a move and got rejected.

As such, there was never anything between them. Now, he was grateful for the rejection since he did not have to feel guilty about it.

Hours later, Robin picked up Sabrina from her office to her father’s mansion.

Cobby was very happy to see the ring on Sabrina’s finger after hugging his daughter lovingly and asking her,

"Brina, are you getting married again?" He was very happy that things worked out faster than he thought.

Sabrina smiled shyly and nodded her head before responding to her father,

"Yes Dad, Robin has changed and I want to give him another chance."

Cobby was glad that it wasn’t only him, Devin, and Matilda but Sabrina herself had seen the truth in the daylight.

This was also the best dinner he ever had since his wife passed on because all his children were engaged and about to get married.

What seemed to be the icing on top of the cake in this whole situation was the fact that none of these marriages were forced like how he and his late best friend Ronald masterminded that of Sabrina three years ago.

He was also happy at the fact that Ronald would be happy wherever he was at the moment, at the turn of events.

"Then you have my blessings," he said to Sabrina as she took her seat and decided to caution Robin one more time.

He turned to Robin after taking his seat and addressed, "But Robin..."

"Dad, I have learned my lesson and I will never do anything to hurt her ever again," Robin cut him off and said quickly.

He already knew how protective Cobby was of his children, especially the females because of their vulnerability.

All Robin wanted was to prove to the middle-aged man that his daughter was in safe hands and he needn’t worry about anything.

Cobby smiled with delight and looked at Robin one more time before saying,

"Since you took the words out of my mouth, then I believe you."

Robin was glad to not only have Sabrina’s trust but that of her family as well.

This was how it was supposed to be before Zayla ruined it but given a second chance, he still got what he felt he deserved.

Now that he thought about it, he couldn’t wait for Zayla’s judgment tomorrow since Sabrina had insisted on only watching everything on TV.

She wasn’t interested in going to court or anything.

Robin suddenly realized that he was the only one who had frequented Cobby’s mansion because of Sabrina but neither of Sabrina’s family members had ever visited them at the villa, which he presumed to be because of the way he handled things in the past.

He made an open invitation.

"Our villa is open to every family member here at any time."

Lizzy was the most excited about the invitation, as she never had the chance to visit Sabrina there before.

Without thinking, she accepted the invitation to Daniel’s annoyance.

"That means I could come and spend weekends at your house," Lizzy said and Daniel frowned.

"Why will you spend weekends at her house when I’m here?" Daniel asked sternly.

It was always difficult to get Lizzy to spend a night with him but she was ready to spend her nights at Robin’s villa, which did not sit well with Daniel.

Lizzy said teasingly,

"Because you and I are going to get married in a month so let me enjoy a few bonding moments with my sister."

The news was like honey to Daniel because Lizzy had never settled on a date for their wedding, which worried him greatly.

"You mean it?" Daniel asked with a shocked expression, wishing to lift Lizzy from her chair but because they were sitting opposite each other, he could not honor his wish.

"Yes," Lizzy exclaimed with excitement, Devin was very happy for them, wishing that Matilda would also agree to marry him sooner.

For him, it was going to take years to put that wedding ring on the finger of the woman he loved since she was focused on her career for now.

"Oh Lizzy, you’ve made me the happiest man in the world," Daniel’s excited voice brought a smile to everybody’s face at the table.

However, his statement did not sit well with Robin, he frowned and said,

"You should rephrase that statement. I’m the happiest man in the world."

Everybody laughed except Matilda and she caught Cobby’s attention as he asked, "Matilda, are you alright? You look pale."

Matilda froze instantly, afraid that the middle-aged man would get suspicious of her condition.
