Ch. 337..340: The Rogue is a Female Alpha chapter 337-340

Back Where 336I am so clueless on how to feel, on what to do and I fear all this will implicate the relationship I have with Lycannar.

Just as the Lycans welcome the wounded and homeless demons, so did she come pouring salt into our open wounds.

Kacla. Kaela Yadev.

Who would have thought her mother was Uncle Dareth’s mistress? We were all stunned when they both walked in, and Aunt Eiryn who was already busy attending to the chaos was called upon alongside her children.

It didn’t take long before the long dining hall filled up. Caclan, the eldest son, still held the divorce decree in hand.

“Everyone,” Uncle Dareth began proudly, “I present to you the woman you have all been waiting for. She has come to make an announcement that…”

“Bring the divorce decree,” Lycannar’s voice cut through his uncle’s words. He turned to Chantel standing in the shadows. “Bring me my royal seal.”

“Your Majesty, you’re not listening!” his uncle barked angrily, but I barely heard them. My gaze was on Kaela.

She was looking around, scanning everyone and everything, relishing the chaos like she had been expecting it.

As though she had come here for one purpose which is to witness our downfall firsthand. When her gaze finally settled, a faint, wicked smile curled at the corner of her lips.

My gods. She knows.

“Before you stamp any decree,” Dareth continued sharply, “you should know my woman is not leaving this kingdom. And I won’t be leaving my house for Eiryn. She is the first wife, yes, but this woman will be my second. Her daughter, Kaela, will be your cousin and share in the royal rights, just like the rest of us.”

I blinked, realizing just what I’d missed.

Kaela, cunning, manipulative Kaela, was doing what she did best. She knew how to worm her

way into someone’s life and inheritance, hijacking it. Just as she had done to the Blackbridge Pack. Just as she had stolen Nyroth then.

And now, she wanted a share of the Lycan royal bloodline?

“I’m afraid that will be impossible.”

The Queen’s voice broke through the tension. Everyone turned as she stepped further into the hall, wiping blood from her fingers.

She had been tending to the wounded from the Demon Realm’s ruin, and yet, even in that state, her authority was unshakable.

“The royalties of Lycans do not come with infidelity, Dareth,” she said coldly.

“You’re one to talk,” he sneered. “The princesses aren’t even true blood. What do you know about fidelity, my Queen?”

“Keep your tone calm, Uncle Dareth.“This time, it was Hades who spoke, his voice sharp as a blade. “Choose your words carefully and show respect to my mother. We’re all in a foul mood. Read the room, or pay for it dearly.”

I had to pause, even holding my breath. Kaela swallowed hard.

Hades was not like Lycannar. I could calm Lycannar when rage overtook him, but Hades was a different story entirely. He is colder, sharper, and far less forgiving.

Chantel returned with the royal seal, handing it to Lycannar, who didn’t hesitate. He was aboout to stamp the decree when the revelation came, abrupt, shocking.

“I am carrying your uncle’s pup.”

The room froze. I looked up sharply at her.

Kaela’s mother had just declared she was pregnant with Uncle Dareth’s child?

“I am pregnant for him,” she continued boldly, “and you will accept this pup into the royal family, whether you like it or not…”

“So bold of you to come here, lying in the open, Xing.”

The voice came from the doorway. Luna Tahlia.

Everyone turned to her as she strode in, eyes locked on Kaela’s mother, on Xing. It was clear they knew each other well since she know her name.

“Your deceit won’t work tonight,” Tahlia said icily. “You bewitched the Lycan King’s advisor, sold your body for his favor, and now, just as you wormed your way to make your worthless. husband Beta of the Blackbridge Pack before he became Alpha, you’re trying to steal this kingdom too?”

Kaela’s jaw tightened in anger, her eyes burning with fury as her plans began to

unravel.

“You know nothing, Tahlia! And what gives you the right to speak here?”

“She is my woman,” Hades‘ voice thundered, and again, the entire hall went silent. “Just for the record. And watch your tone when you address her.”

Kaela paled, her confidence shattering. Her mother looked around helplessly, realizing she had no more ground to stand on.

Kaela, who had long claimed to be pregnant with Alpha Black’s child, still had no baby bump after months. It was all lies.

Seeing the argument had become meaningless, Lycannar pressed the royal seal onto the decree, finalizing the divorce between his aunt and uncle. Then he leaned back in his chair, exhausted.

“Leave my kingdom,” he said, calmly, lethally calm.

Everyone knew what that tone meant. Chantel was already poised to act, his mysterious bodyguard equally ready.

Kaela and her mother saw defeat. Uncle Dareth realized he’d lost this round. They turned toward the exit, but as Kaela passed Luna Tahlia in the doorway, she stopped, meeting her eyes and whispering just loud enough for me to hear with my heightened senses.

“You won’t last long, Tahlia. There won’t be a happy ending for you.”

And with that, she left, her mother following her out of the Lycan Kingdom.

A heavy silence lingered in the hall. Gradually, everyone dispersed, tending to the wounded and the broken.

That was when Blue walked in. She carried something small in her palm, Ravana, Lycannar’s raven. Lifeless.

Since the witch Ilythra’s death, Ravana’s bond had severed too. Lycannar’s oldest companion, his loyal, talking raven that always perched on his shoulder, giving him that air of authority,

was gone.

Blue placed the tiny body on the table before him, and my heart sank to the very bottom of my chest.

For all that it cost, for all that it ruined… in this war, Varyn Ashmere, my brother, had won.

The departure left a sore taste in my mouth. That was the last time I would ever set eyes on Kaela Yadey. She left defeated, her heart’s desire unfulfilled, and silence fell once everyone else had departed.

Hades, however, remained seated, his gaze fixed on Luna Tahlia who stood at the doorway, still shaken by his public claim and Kaela’s cruel words.

At last, he rose and walked toward her. Without a word, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her lips tenderly.

She was still in shock, still drowning in too many emotions, when he kissed her again.

“Young Black?” he asked quietly.

“He went to bed early,” she answered softly.

“Then let me take you to bed too,” Hades murmured and kissed her once more before leading her toward her chamber.

Making love helps ease pain, relieves some of the ache, the frustration, the weight of everything.

I sighed and turned to Lycannar, who still had his eyes fixed on the raven before him. My heart went out to him instantly, worry clawing at me.

Gently, he rose from his seat, took the raven, and started down the silent hall that led toward the sea, the same path where the body of witch Ilythra rested.

Without thinking, I followed, my heart pounding as I stepped into the darkness behind him.

But then he paused.

“You should go,” he said quietly. “Don’t follow me.”

Those words cut deep. My chest tightened at the emptiness in his eyes.

“Lycan…” I whispered, but he didn’t look back.

“Go back to the bedchamber and stay there. I will lay Ravana to rest alone,” he said, his tone gentle but drained of emotion. The void in his voice terrified me. Was he angry? Would he end

Before I could make sense of it, he turned and continued walking.

I followed anyway, until he stopped abruptly. Frustration rippled off him.

He turned, his stare cold and wordless, freezing me in place. Goosebumps rose across my skin as he walked away, leaving me in the dark.

For a long while, I stood there alone, fighting back the ache until tears clouded my vision. They spilled freely, and my knees gave way. I sank to the cold floor, trembling as silent sobs tore through me.

That was when I saw his shadow.

Slowly, I looked up, he stood there, no raven in his hands anymore, his eyes soft again, emotion flooding back.

I sniffed, trying to hold myself together, to be strong as usual, but I failed.

Before Lycannar, I was just another woman, one who longed to be loved, accepted, cared for, and cherished.

“Lycan…” I breathed.

He said nothing, only approached me slowly. Then he knelt before me, his eyes searching mine.

“That’s enough,” he said softly. “I hate when you cry in pain.”

His thumb brushed away my tears, and I caught his hand, guiding it to my cheek as my heart thudded painfully.

For a moment, we just stared at each other, and then the restraint broke.

Lycannar and I moved at once, meeting halfway in a desperate kiss.

He pulled me to my feet, tearing off my underwear with trembling hands while I fumbled with his belt. When his cock sprang free, he lifted me effortlessly, and I wrapped my legs around his

waist.

With a low groan, he eased himself into me. His thrusts started slow, almost tender, before the frustration and grief bled into them.

He claimed me fiercely, and I clung to him as though my life depended on it, my arms circling

his neck. My moan was mulled when his hand covered my mouth, his gaze burning with too many emotions as we lost ourselves in the storm of it all.

When his release came, warmth flooded through me, and he kissed me deeply, his grip harsh and tender all at once.

We breathed together, hearts unsteady, bound by a bond neither empire nor realm could break.

Exhaustion consumed me when he finally withdrew. I rested my head against his shoulder, too weak to move, eyes fluttering shut.

Varyn might have lost the battle. Kaela might have witnessed the ruin of everything she

wanted. The demon realm might be burning to ash but I loved Lycannar, and he loved me too. And selfishly, that was enough.

For the first time in forever, I felt at peace, knowing he was still as obsessed, still as possessive, still as mine as he was then.

Back Where 338

The mixed surge of energy and auras forced my eyelids open. For a moment, I lay there, wondering how I ended up in bed. Then a soft shriek from my spirit guard snapped away the last trace of slumber.

I sat up sharply, only to collapse back against the pillow, breathless. It was night, yet strangely bright. I tried again.

Rising carefully, I moved toward the corridor and paused there. The first thing that caught my eyes were the demons gathered in the courtyard, gazing at Le Fey, which still shimmered faintly in the courtyard, a living testament to the Moon Goddess’s power over me.

They marveled at it from a distance, and that made me smile softly. Smart people.

I turned to leave, but then froze. The reason for the brightness caught my eyes.

Full moon.

Wait, did that mean I’d been asleep from last night until now?

And hell, that could only mean one thing.

Lycannar.

He always lost control under the full moon, shifting into his beast form, untamed and dangerous.

Panic set in. I rushed back to the bedchamber, glancing at his side of the bed, empty. My throat tightened.

I hurried toward the exit, descending the stairs two at a time, only to run into the princesses coming from the hall.

“Zephyrine…” Serena called, but I didn’t slow.

“I need to see Lycannar. Is he alright?” I demanded, reaching the steel chamber first door where Chantel stood guard as always, as he had done every full moon for years.

“Move aside. I need to see him.”

He didn’t speak, not a word, just stared at me in that unsettling silence that made me bite my

lip. He wouldn’t let me in.

“I only want to see him,” I murmured, exhausted, glancing at the princesses. “Even in his true form, Lycannar won’t hurt me. Let me in.”

“He hurt me once in that state,” Princess Serena said softly, her tone both warning and pleading. “And you know how much my baby brother loves me. Let him be till tomorrow. He’ll return to himself soon.”

“Let him be.”

The voice came from the shadows, firm and resonant. I turned at once. Hades stood there in black, his aura steady and heavy with quiet command, the next ruler rising from darkness.

“Let him be,” he repeated.

Something inside me wilted. Their words, their tone, it made me feel… distant, like an intruder in a place I once called home. Perhaps they hated me for my brother’s deeds.

Without replying, I turned toward the black tower again, but Hades’s voice stopped me.

“The maid will serve dinner. Join us,” he said evenly. “We should celebrate the life growing within you, my niece or nephew.”

My skin prickled at that. I turned to Princess Mearez, who nodded, confirmation that she’d told them. They knew.

Serena stepped forward, her eyes warm. She pulled me into a hug.

“Come,” she whispered. “Let’s eat and talk.”

This time, I didn’t protest. She led me to the dining hall where Blue was serving.

Luna Thalia poured the drinks, cheerful, too cheerful. I raised an eyebrow. So Hades had claimed her at last. Even amid chaos, love bloomed.

Princess Serena pulled a chair for me.

“Sit. You look perfect.”

“I should wash up,” I murmured. “I just woke.”

“It’s not morning,” she teased. “Sit.”

The aroma of food melted my resistance. I sat. Across from me, Hades’s gaze was fixed on my face, steady, assessing.

I looked up, meeting his eyes. Luna Thalia sat beside Serena, and across from us were Mearez and Hades, Young Black asleep in his arms.

“You look exactly like your mother,” Hades said at last, his tone quiet but edged with something sharp. “A warrior I respected. We once called a truce, but your brother turned it into a trap. I should’ve let my little brother end him when he was at your people’s mercy.”

“Brother Hades…” Mearez began softly, but he continued.

“You’re nothing like him,” he said firmly. “And I love you for that. For my brother’s sake, and for everything you’ve done for us.”

I bit my lip at the sincerity in his words. Still looking at me, he reached across the table, covering my hand with his, his touch unexpectedly gentle.

“Congratulations,” he said. “Mother believes you’ll be the next Queen. Tedious role, if you ask

me.”

“You’ve never been a queen,” I teased quietly. “How would you know?”

He smiled faintly.

“My true mother was one. I saw how it weighed her down.”

“Maybe it wasn’t the crown that weighed her down,” I murmured. “Maybe it was the king.”

He looked at me for a long moment, then smiled wider.

“Clever woman. Apex has told you about us? Our family?”

“I’m your family too, right?” I asked, light but pointed.

He chuckled, leaning back.

“You are,” he admitted. “After what you’ve done, and the love you’ve given us, you’re Blood and Abyss now.”

Silence filled the hall, peaceful this time. I watched as he cradled Young Black closer, the boy sleeping soundly against his chest.

My gaze drifted to Luna Thalia, once a widow certain she’d never find love again. Because she is a single mother.

17:11 Thu, Oct 16

“You were wrong,” I said softly.

She smiled faintly, her eyes on Hades.

“I know and I take it back.”

He met her gaze with quiet pride. Love had found them again, raw and real.

And in that small, fragile moment, I believed love had won at least for tonight.

B

I turned around to see Hades standing in the doorway, as though waiting for permission to

enter.

“Blue told me you’re feeling weak and plan to rest,” he said. I nodded, starting to rise from the bed, but he stepped inside, gently pressing me back down and pulling the coverlet over me.

“Carrying the pup of the first hybrid must be exhausting. You should rest. My sisters and Tahlia will keep you company. I need to stay with my father, make sure he recovers.”

I nodded at his warm concern, his tenderness making my chest ache. Those striking eyes of his softened, and I reached for his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

“Thank you for loving Lycan,” I murmured, my voice low with gratitude. “Your love and acceptance mean so much to him. I appreciate it.”

He looked at me quictly, then smiled faintly.

“Thank you for saving Tahlia. You brought her to me and now she completes me. I owe you for that.”

He leaned down, kissed my temple, then rose and walked out. I watched his powerful retreat with a swelling heart.

Yes. Perhaps this was fate after all, everything intertwined, the gods‘ intricate work.

I sank back into the pillow, sighing softly. My eyes lifted to where the painting once was, the sketch of my face, but the canvas was gone, destroyed in the crash.

A small smile touched my lips at the memory of Lycannar’s effort, how hard he tried to please me. He had won, in the end. My heart belonged to no one but him.

I was still lost in thought when the sound of footsteps and laughter drifted in. Moments later, Princess Mearez appeared, followed by Luna Tahlia.

“Hades said once everything is settled, he’ll return to his realm and start rebuilding,” Luna Tahlia said as she paused at the doorway. “With the damage I heard about, I wonder how long

it’ll take.”

“Let’s hope for the best.”

Princess Mearez entered fully, smiling.

“And the pregnant woman is weak,” she teased, settling on the chair. “The gods, I can’t believe Lycannar made you this full and tired. When are you telling him about the pup?”

I was about to reply when I noticed Tahlia still hesitating at the threshold. I raised a brow, and she shrugged.

“It’s the King’s bedchamber…”

“Come in,” Princess Mearez said lightly. “Don’t be too polite. You’re part of this family now, especially after being claimed by my brother.” The source of thɪs content is Find1Novel.net

She smiled shyly and joined us, sitting beside Princess Mearez. Her gaze lingered on me.

“How do you feel?” she asked softly.

“Weak,” I admitted. “Maybe because I need my man.”

“He’ll come back to you soon. You’re very lucky,” she said, making me smile. Then her expression flickered. “We were lucky we acted fast. If not, Kaela and her mother would’ve been royalty by now.”

“My brother would never allow that,” Princess Mearez replied. “Isn’t she the one who killed your mother?”

Luna Tahlia sighed deeply.

“The very same. The one who used to threaten me openly. I’m just glad Young Black won’t grow up around her. If anything ever happens to me, he should stay with Hades. They’ve bonded.”

Mearez and I exchanged a sad smile.

“Nothing will happen,” I said softly. “Let’s just hope for the best.”

“Says our warrior,” Mearez murmured. “You should rest. We’ll stay here.”

I nodded, comforted by their warmth. My eyes drifted shut, and wrapped in that feeling of peace, safety, and fulfillment, I fell asleep.

The first groan didn’t wake me, but the second did. I blinked my eyes open, scanning the room. Princess Mearez and Luna Tahlia were asleep, their heads resting on the table. I sighed,

abom to close my eyes again, then suddenly I froze.

Another sound. A low groan. My gaze slid toward Luna Tahlia and my breath caught.

Blood.

A dark stream trickled from between her thighs, down her legs. My heart plummeted. I jerked upright, startling Princess Mearez awake. She looked at me, confused, until she saw my face, then I pointed silently toward the chair.

Princess Mearez turned, expecting to see her stirring, but no, Luna Tahlia’s head still rested on the table. The blood was pooling beneath her chair. Then, slowly, her body tilted, losing balance.

I caught her before she hit the ground, lowering her gently.

“What’s happening to her?” My voice trembled; I hadn’t realized I was shaking.

Mearez rushed to her side, pressing her fingers to her wrist. Whatever she felt there made her eyes widen in panic. She lifted Luna Tahlia upright, calling to her wolf, trying to rouse her, but suddenly the body went limp in her arms.

I stumbled back, horrified. Cold dread seeped into my bones.

Princess Mearez, born with the power to restore health, the most gifted healer I’d ever known, had never failed before. But this time… she did.

Luna Tahlia died in her arms.

And when our cries broke the silence, the entire bedchamber filled with chaos.

Back Where 340

I have relaxed too much, and it has cost me dearly, more than I can afford. It feels as though death itself had spoken through her, and she had given her last wish, for Hades to take care of Young Black if anything ever happened to her.

I can’t brush it off. I still can’t believe it, last night, Luna Tahlia died. Blinking away tears, I stood in the hall, torn between going in or not.

I don’t know the cause of her death, but Kaela’s words echo in my mind. She once said Luna Tahlia wouldn’t have a happy ending, and now it all begins to make sense.

Her death was horrible, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t make light of it. It weighs me down, makes me sick to my stomach, and all I want right now is Lycannar. That’s why I came to this door again.

Chantel wouldn’t let me in, and I kept wondering how to convince him that I needed to see him. I was still standing there when I heard soft footsteps behind me.

Turning slowly, I saw Princess Serena, her eyes red and swollen from crying. She didn’t speak at first, but grief lingered in every line of her face.

“You need to

come to the dining hall, Zephyrine. Mearez wants to speak with you,” she said softly.

I bit my lip to hold back the sobs and followed her toward the dining hall. Princess Mearez sat silently in her chair, her expression calm yet broken.

After Luna Tahlia gave up the ghost, Hades had been pale and speechless. It all happened so suddenly that none of us understood what caused it.

When I arrived at the table, I realized Princess Mearez seemed to already know. The hall was silent as Hades entered, his steps slow and heavy, the entire kingdom cloaked in grief that cold afternoon.

He sat down, and the silence deepened, honoring his woman’s passing.

For a long time, no one spoke. Then, brushing away her tears, Princess Mearez looked at Hades and dropped the bombshell.

“Luna Tahlia had a miscarriage, and it led to her death.”

The entire hall froze. None of us could believe what we just heard.

“When one wishes to end a pregnancy,” she continued softly, “there are many potions for it. Some only harm the pup, while others are so strong they take both lives. Luna Tahlia consumed the strongest kind, one her wolf couldn’t fight. She and the pup both perished.” For original chapters go to ⓝovelFind.net

Silence fell again, heavy and unbearable. My heart thudded painfully.

Luna Tahlia had never told me she was pregnant. She once confessed she’d had a one–night stand with Hades, but never mentioned a child. Which meant…

“She didn’t know,” I whispered, realization crashing over me. “She didn’t know she was carrying Hades‘ pup. She would never have drunk that potion if she knew.”

All eyes turned to me. Hades said nothing, his grief too deep for words. I swallowed hard, a chill crawling up my spine.

“Luna Tahlia didn’t drink any potion, Princess Mearez. She stayed in my pack before coming here. No physician ever attended to her. I would have known.”

“Same here,” Mearez said. “Her quarters were close to mine. None of my apprentices received any such order. So where did she get it?”

The truth hit me like a blade. My breath caught as my mind flashed back to that night.

“I told my brother I was pregnant with Lycannar’s pup,” I murmured, my voice trembling. The princesses‘ faces went pale. “Days ago, I went to hand over my pack to my brother. Luna Tahlia did the same, she didn’t want Young Black tied to Blackbridge anymore. During the handover ritual… we both drank a potion.”

A stunned silence swept through the room. Hades stared at me, horror dawning on his face.

“You… drank it too?” Princess Mearez whispered, her voice unsteady.

When I nodded, her shoulders sagged in despair. She froze, eyes wide with fear, while Princess Serena began to tremble beside her.

“Is she also going to die?” Serena’s voice cracked, fragile and afraid.

My heart pounded violently. Was I also going to die, with Lycannar’s pup inside me?

“Luna Tahlia wasn’t a warrior,” Mearez said solemnly. “She wasn’t an Alpha. She wasn’t an Ashmere.
