Ch. 26..30: The Vampire Prince's Blindfolded Bride Chapter 26-30
Chapter 26: This is the way I shower love
Alora remained seated on the mattress as per the instructions of the head servant, who brought her to the chamber and even made sure she would have her dinner. Earlier, two attendants helped her in bathing and later, dressed her in an attire, which felt soft against her skin. Though she was not used to it, she could not either refuse it.
She wondered when would Magnus come to the chamber. Alora had a lot of thoughts in her mind, that she wanted to share with Magnus. She touched her blindfold, thinking if she should remove it.
"Your Highness, let the blindfold stay on your eyes. We are still present here," the head maidservant stated.
Promptly, Alora brought her hand down and let it rest on her lap. She fidgeted with her fingers, thinking about how she would spend the night with Magnus, who was now her husband. She recalled her mother's advice to be a good wife to Magnus.
"Your Highness," the head maidservant curtsied Magnus, who just had entered the chamber, along with the two attendants.
Alora lifted her head to learn that Magnus was in the chamber. She swiftly stood up and kept her head low after bowing to him.
Magnus signaled the servants to leave and in a few seconds, a loud thud of closing the door was heard.
Magnus checked out Alora from head to toe before striding toward her. He lifted her chin with his calloused fingers. "Let's open the blindfold for you," he said. His other hand reached to the back of her head to loosen the knot.
The blindfold cascaded off Alora's eyes and her enchanted blue eyes met with Magnus' blood-red eyes. He took a moment to admire her eyes– the eyes which tempted him toward her.
"I didn't tell you this before. You have enchanting eyes, Alora," Magnus pronounced.
No one ever said that to her. But no one could look into her eyes either. Only Magnus was the exception. The reason was still unknown to her and only Magnus could look at her.
"Thank you, Your Highness." Alora downcast her eyes for a moment. She bit her bottom lip, thinking if they should sleep now on the same bed.
"Shall we begin the night?" Magnus asked for her permission.
The question made her promptly gaze at him again. She nodded at Magnus, ready to join him for the sleep. But she had an important question, which she could not ask him before.
"Will His Highness give me love?" She was desperate to be loved. The feeling she could never get from her family, except for her mother, and only heard in the words.
"And how am I supposed to provide love to you?" Magnus queried amusedly since he was curious to know her thoughts.
"Holding hands, hugging each other, sleeping together, and sharing thoughts with each other. Isn't that how you shower love?" Alora innocently asked, peering at him with her doe eyes.
Magnus ended up smiling to hear her explanation of love. He leaned down and kissed her lips, causing her to shiver from that sudden feeling. "This is the way I shower love," Magnus pronounced, gazing into Alora's charming blue eyes.
Alora widened her eyes as she stopped blinking while her breath hitched in her throat.
"You are innocent," Magnus chuckled with amusement on his face.
Alora finally breathed and sensed how rapidly her heartbeats had turned. Her mind had frozen after the development of this foreign feeling inside her.
"I like your innocence, but it has to be ruined soon," Magnus stated. His thumb moved to her lips and traced them while gulping. More than the kiss, he was hungry for her blood.
But,
Magnus had decided not to drink from her.
Alora was flustered by his statement and pondered how he planned to shatter her innocence. Would it be through daily kisses? She mused about the potential consequences, imagining her lips swelling if they would kiss every day.
"Your thoughts are lovely," Magnus said as he kept smiling at her.
Alora, then recalled how Magnus could hear thoughts. It made her feel more embarrassed. "Your Highness shall not hear things like that," she murmured.
"Stop thinking then, and I won't hear them," Magnus told her.
'How am I supposed to do that? Don't think! Don't think!' Alora told herself in her mind.
In a swift motion, Magnus held her close, his left arm circled her waist. His right hand cradled her neck and he leaned down to her face. Alora tightly clutched her nightgown, nervous about the proximity they had.
"Just replicate the movements of my lips," Magnus whispered, his lips were now an inch away from her.
"W-what?" Alora stammered, taken aback by the unexpected closeness and his whispered instruction.
"We will kiss, my wife," Magnus said. "I've anticipated this moment for four days," he affirmed.
Alora, feeling apprehensive, expressed her fear, "What if I make a mistake? Please don't be angry; I'm inexperienced in this."
Magnus reassured her, "Well, I'm new to this too. Fortunately, you'll be my first kiss. Besides, I'm skilled at teaching, so there's no need to worry," and with that, he claimed her lips.
The moment their lips met, she felt her breath was taken away in a single stroke. Her insides ignited with a spark and her mind stopped thinking. She had become a statue, forgetting to breathe. The gentle nibbles on her lips sent shivers down her spine, which she never felt before.
Magnus sensed her tense state and withdrew from the kiss. His lips remained an inch away from hers, "You need to breathe, Alora."
She parted her lips and let out a breath before inhaling deeply. "I-I was flustered, Your Highness. I apologize," Alora murmured. With determination, she added, "I'll do it right this time."
"Then, do it," Magnus encouraged her, feeling amused. Though it was only a tease, he liked the way she reacted to the things he would do. She slowly brought her hands to his shoulders and...
Chapter 27: I claim your body as mine
Alora slowly brought her hands to his shoulders and pressed her lips against his in the most tender way she could. She vividly remembered how Magnus kissed her and she imitated what he previously did. The gentle nibbles made Magnus’s entire body a bit tense and the control he had over him was lost.
Magnus cradled her neck and parted his lips to move them against hers. The movements of her lips were filled with hesitation; an apprehension which made her wonder if she did good. However, the moment Magnus reciprocated, her doubts disappeared.
She felt her feet moving backward until they touched the bed. Her mind once again stopped working and her entire focus shifted to that kiss.
Magnus decided to keep their kiss chaste. Despite his will was against pull away from the kiss, he withdrew and breathed along with her. Alora’s eyes glued to him, gasping for air. She would bite her bottom lip in between as silence coveted the chamber for a minute.
"Your Highness, did I do right this time?" Alora queried while again biting her lip.
"Yes. But it can be improved," Magnus said and he lifted her in his arms. Her hands instinctively locked behind his nape. Her heart wildly raced, thinking if there lay something more of which she was unaware of.
As she reclined on the soft mattress, Alora discovered Magnus hovering above her. She curled her toes, fingers tightly clutching her dress. "Your Highness, I-I thought w-we are supposed to sleep," she stammered, swallowing nervously.
"We will, after I claim your body as mine," Magnus remarked. He captured her lips, tenderly nibbling them once again. Soon, his lips embarked on a southward journey, leaving a trail of kisses from her cheek to her jawline and down to her neck.
She shuddered with the touch of his cold lips on the part of the bodies, where Alora had not even imagined, nor did she know all this. An eliciting cry slipped past her lips the moment his teeth found the sweet spot below her ear and nipped it. His tongue made contact with her skin. Unbeknownst to her, she moaned to it.
Magnus smirked, and Alora instinctively covered her mouth in astonishment. She couldn’t believe she had just done that, unsure of what had come over her. In embarrassment, Alora closed her eyes, attempting to shield herself from the awkwardness.
When she sensed Magnus gently pulling away her hand and pinning it to the mattress, she hesitantly opened her eyes, meeting his gaze.
"Do you want more?" Magnus asked.
"There’s more?" Alora blinked her eyes rapidly.
Magnus nodded at her. He rested his head on his right hand as his elbow was now on the mattress. He reached for the knot on her silk nightgown while she widened her eyes.
"Your heart is thundering. I can hear its every beat," Magnus whispered in her ear and he bit her earlobe.
"Ahh!" She cried in a low voice.
His fingers deftly played with the knot of her dress, eventually unfastening it. Alora, feeling a sudden surge of concern, held his hand, putting a halt to any further actions. With a swift movement, she sat up, deep frowns etched on her forehead.
Magnus, perceptive to her emotions, understood the mix of confusion, worries, and nervousness in her demeanor.
He also sat up and wrapped his arms around her waist to rest them on her belly. His chin found a place on her shoulder and he nuzzled her neck. "When you become husband and wife, you do sleep together, hug each other, and share thoughts with each other. But most importantly, you get physically connected with your other half," he told her.
Alora tilted her head to cast a glance at him. "You never had plans to marry, nor did anyone thought you would marry one day. I believe that’s why you are unaware of all this," Magnus stated the reason behind her innocence.
"Mother said my chief duty is to keep my husband happy," Alora said.
"I am happy with your presence in my life," Magnus replied. "Shall we sleep then? You must be tired," he opined.
Alora remained silent for a moment before finally saying, "Yes, we should sleep, Your Highness," in agreement.
"Alright," Magnus responded. He straightened himself, removing the silk robe from his upper body. Gently pulling Alora behind him, he made her look at his half-naked form.
She gulped, her eyes tracing the lines of his broad chest and shoulders. Alora’s gaze lingered on his well-toned abdominal muscles before meeting his eyes, which held an emotion she couldn’t quite fathom.
Magnus gently guided her to lie on the bed, covering them both with the sheets. Alora turned her back toward him, her thoughts racing. She needed a moment before fully surrendering to the situation.
As his cold hand made contact with her arm, she involuntarily convulsed, the unexpected touch stirring a cascade of emotions within her. Alora couldn’t hold herself from facing him and now, they both were face-to-face.
"Can I rest my hand on His Highness’s body?" Alora asked.
"You don’t need to ask this. Just do whatever you wish to," Magnus whispered.
Alora lifted her hand and slowly rested it on the left of his chest. She noticed the deep breath he took as if he was uncomfortable.
"Your touch is burning," Magnus quickly responded after reading her thoughts. "It’s not the discomfort," he clarified to her.
"My hand is warm while His Highness’s body is cold. I can feel the slow heartbeats of the prince. I heard it’s not easy for a vampire to resist a human’s blood. I’m lying so close to you, yet you are not tense at all. How?" Alora was curious to know.
"I’ve lived a long life, so I am good at controlling my thirst for blood. A newly turned vampire cannot do that," Magnus replied.
"That means when I turn–" she was interrupted as Magnus placed his finger above her lips.
"You won’t turn. I won’t do it," Magnus pronounced, thus ending further room of conversation on it. He couldn’t bear to see Alora undergoing the pain of getting turned into a vampire. In his eyes, she should live a human life.
Chapter 28: Replica of moon stone
Alora woke up late in the morning but didn’t find Magnus next to her. She propped on her elbows to sit and wandered her eyes around. Touching her lips, she recalled the kiss between them from the previous night and smiled.
She put her feet on the floor and put on the slippers before standing up. The blindfold could not be seen anywhere around the room. "How am I supposed to call in someone?" Alora mumbled.
"You don’t need to." Magnus entered with a silver glass in his hand. "Good morning, Love. You had a good sleep, I suppose," he said, smiling at her.
Alora nodded at him. "Usually it’s tough to sleep at a newer place, but I got a nice sleep," she accepted and saw him drinking. "Is that wine, Your Highness? You should not drink wine in the morning," she asserted.
"It’s blood, my beloved," Magnus answered.
For a second, Alora’s smile disappeared and she got a bit scared to hear that. "Oh. I need to freshen up and bathe. Last night, the blindfold was with His Highness," she murmured.
"Iva, take Princess Alora to the washroom," Magnus instructed a maidservant, who entered the chamber soon with her head down.
"What about the blindfold?" Alora asked the prince again.
"I forgot where I have kept it," Magnus replied, "See you at the breakfast, Alora," he smiled and vanished from her sight within a blink.
Alora sighed and wondered what was in Magnus’s head.
Outside, in the dining hall, Magnus was seated at the chief seat, enjoying the blood. Lillian entered the hall, giving a curtsy to her brother. The servant pulled out a chair for Lillian to sit.
"Lily, it’s not good to enter a place without being called," Magnus replied.
"Brother, it’s the palace. Only you got a separate residence with Alora to live. As your only sister, I can roam around without any interference," Lillian asserted.
"Not here, Lily. Tobias, show her the way out to the carriage," Magnus stated.
"I will go by myself," Lillian said. "Can I not even get close to my sister-in-law?" She complained.
"Lily, you should leave. Alora will be here soon without the blindfold. You don’t wish to die by burning, do you?" Magnus arched a brow at her amusement.
Lillian twitched her lips and quickly left the hall. Tobias told the prince he would escort the princess to the carriage and walked away.
"Fill it more," Magnus instructed the servant, who stepped up. She lifted the jar containing the fresh human blood and poured it into the glass for Magnus.
"Greetings to Your Highness!" Gabriel pronounced as he specially came from Elmswood to report Magnus about the incident related to the werewolf attack.
"I should have waited for His Highness in the living room, but I thought I should urgently report it to you," Gabriel said.
"I thought you would come here with the pack leader," Magnus chuckled and brought the silver glass to his mouth.
"A werewolf was present in the caravan that night because none of the werewolves are absent from the Dark Moon Pack," Gabriel responded and took out something from his pocket, "and these were found at the spot, where the caravan was attacked."
Magnus put the glass on the table and took the wooden token from him along with a replica of moon stone, which was used by some specific werewolves only. "Isn’t it used by werewolves to transform? But only alphas and betas can do that," he asserted, examining the moon stone.
"Yes. Someone wanted to kill Her Highness that night," Gabriel said.
Magnus furrowed his brows together. He felt the werewolf might not be there to kill Alora, but something else. "It’s foolish to think that anyone can kill Alora. There’s more to this story," he asserted.
Gabriel wondered what more could be there. "Your Highness, I have also shifted here," he informed him.
"What? Why?" Magnus asked. "What about your position?"
"His Highness forgot that I was in Elmswood because of him," Gabriel said.
"Princess Alora is near and she is without the blindfold," Tobias suddenly announced, causing Gabriel and everyone to close their eyes, except Magnus, who enjoyed the scene.
Alora looked at everyone with a worried glance and then stopped next to Magnus. She extended her hand out, "Please return my blindfold."
Magnus took out the maroon blindfold with a pattern on it from inside his pocket and showed it to her. "You mean this?" He inquired.
"Yes," Alora almost grabbed it but Magnus pulled his hand back.
"You’ve to give me something to take the blindfold from me," Magnus said.
"What does His Highness want?" Alora questioned.
"A kiss," Magnus replied.
"Wh-what?" Alora was embarrassed by his demand.
"Let’s leave everyone," Tobias said. Gabriel was the first one to leave followed by the others.
"You don’t need a blindfold anymore," Magnus remarked as the doors closed with a thud.
"No, I want it." Alora ran to his left side to take the blindfold. However, Magnus quickly took it in his right hand and smirked at her.
Alora placed her hand on his shoulder and leaned toward him, reaching her hand to his. He stared at her face, which was only an inch away from his.
"You look alluring," Magnus suddenly pronounced, bringing her attention to him. His gaze lingered on her lips, and he licked his own in anticipation. Closing the distance, he initiated a kiss.
In the next moment, Alora discovered herself seated on his lap, yet the kiss persisted. The blindfold became an afterthought as her hands found a place on his arms, the world outside the kiss fading away for her.
Magnus angled her face to deepen the kiss, but he still refrained from savoring her mouth. A few seconds later, he nipped her bottom lip, yearning for a sweet cry and blood too. The scent of her blood fell to his nostrils and the color of his pupils changed instantly.
He withdrew from the kiss, his canines grew, and...
Chapter 29: I’m hungry
The moment Alora’s blood reached Magnus’s mouth, he knew all the control he had on him for not tasting her blood was lost completely. The color of his pupils changed into red ones, his canines grew bigger as he was ready to drink from her.
Usually, it would not happen with him once he would drink the fresh blood. However, Alora’s blood scent was strange. It was as sweet as honey. He brushed away her hair from one side of her neck, exposing it to his fangs. Everything happened so quickly that Alora didn’t even get the time to stop him.
"Ahhh!" Alora whimpered in pain the moment his sharp canines entered her skin. Her eyes widened and her pupils grew larger. Her hands were tightly pressed against his chest, but she didn’t protest.
It appeared that Alora desired him to partake of her blood, not solely because she was now his wife, but because he had bestowed a renewed purpose to her existence. Suppressing her cries, she wished for him not to cease, unlike the last encounter.
Magnus’s mind erupted with the taste of this celestial blood. His eyes deepened to a crimson hue, and an overwhelming pleasure engulfed him, a joy he hadn’t experienced in a long while.
"Your Highness!" Tobias pronounced as he saw Magnus feeding on Alora. He was totally shocked to witness this since Magnus did not look in his right state. Tobias lowered his eyes, thinking Alora might look at him accidentally.
Magnus finally realized what he had done and stopped. He pulled out his fangs and licked that spot to soothe her pain. He met her gaze and saw she had no complaints about it; she didn’t look terrified either.
"You were supposed to call my name," Magnus told Alora.
"I couldn’t," she lowered her eyes for a second. Her eyes lingered on his lips, covered in her blood. Alora lifted her hand and almost touched one of the fangs, but Magnus caught her hand.
"You should have stopped me." The look in his eyes was of complaining. He didn’t like the fact that he drank from Alora. If this would continue, she would be his blood slave rather than a wife. "You should leave Tobias. I’ll see you later," he asserted.
Tobias bowed and left once again, closing the large doors behind him.
Magnus traced her fingers on her neck, where two spots appeared. "Forgive me," he apologized. He never was sorry toward anyone. But for her, he was.
"Why is His Highness upset? Shouldn’t he be happy?" Alora nervously asked. The pain had subsided. She waited for his response patiently.
"You are my wife, not a blood slave. But the moment I taste even a drop of your blood, I lose my control. It should not work this way. I have never acted this way," Magnus explained to her.
"That means we cannot... kiss," Alora said with a low tone.
"What? No!" Magnus chuckled. He flicked her forehead and made her stand up. She caressed her forehead and knitted her brows together.
"I don’t understand, Your Highness. You love blood," Alora murmured.
Magnus left his seat and scoffed, "You wish to die, don’t you?"
"No."
"Then? To please me with your blood just because I married you," Magnus remarked.
"Why is His Highness angry?" Alora murmured and lowered her head.
"I’m hungry. Can’t you see? Your blood makes me crazy!" Magnus loudly said, feeling frustrated and annoyed. He let out a deep breath and asked Alora to have her breakfast. He handed her the blindfold and walked out of the dining hall.
"I cannot understand why he is angry at me." Alora sighed and went back to her seat. She heard Tobias, telling her they would serve her the food.
Alora kept her head down until the servants finished setting the table with breakfast meals. Once they left, she had her breakfast in silence.
On the other hand, Magnus was now present in his private chamber. He tapped his fingers on the armrest, his one leg resting above the other.
"Why does her blood affect me? I would not have stopped if Tobias hadn’t called me out," Magnus mumbled.
"Is everything good, Your Highness?" Tobias’s voice fell into the Prince’s ears. "I apologize for intruding on you," he stated.
"Tobias, is it normal for me to feed on Alora’s blood without even realizing what I was doing?" Magnus was unable to search for a satisfactory answer to this.
"His Highness never did something like this before. I should not be saying this, but if the prince allows me, then I may speak," Tobias asserted.
"Speak," Magnus allowed him.
"Her Highness Princess Alora has cursed eyes. The Prince cannot deny the curse. I feel even her blood has something magical, which makes His Highness lose his control. However, the strange thing is that her blood’s scent is only unique to you," Tobias explained.
"Who cursed her?" Magnus asked.
"I heard it was a witch, Your Highness. Only Princess Alora’s mother can tell about this," Tobias pronounced.
"Bring her here. I would like to speak with her," Magnus instructed him. "I feel hungrier after tasting Alora’s blood," he mumbled.
Tobias had never seen the Prince getting this vulnerable. Was it an indication of something worse on Magnus’s way? He hoped the prince remained safe.
"I will send the blood for His Highness," Tobias stated and walked away.
Magnus closed his eyes, trying to move his thoughts away from Alora’s blood. He tapped his shoe against the carpet; his throat getting drier. The first time he drank from Alora, he didn’t feel this way. Though he was hungry, but at the same time, he somehow wasn’t bothered. However, now, his mind was occupied with Alora.
"I’ll kill her at this rate," Magnus murmured.
"Here is the blood, Your Highness," the maidservant arrived soon and forwarded the tray toward him. Magnus picked up the silver glass. He finished the entire blood within a few seconds and licked his canines, followed by the lips.
He placed the glass on the tray and the maidservant walked away.
Magnus laid his head back and peered at the decorated ceiling. "What did a witch exactly do to her?" He pondered.
Chapter 30: To hunt you down
**Thank you Riemc for the first gift**
Alora stared at the vast expanse of the green field of the garden from the huge balcony of her chamber. After she finished her breakfast, the maidservant brought her to the chamber. Once she left, Alora opened her blindfold and entered the balcony.
Amidst all this, she missed her mother the most. After three days, Venus would be wedded. She wondered if she would get the invitation for it. So far, her father sent no invite to her.
"I can look into Prince Magnus’s eyes, but not the others. Why?" Alora murmured as she rested her hands on the balustrade. "Mother never told me why I was cursed. Out of all the people in the kingdom, why did the witch come after me?" The question which she had stopped thinking about a long time ago again was circulating in her mind.
After Magnus angrily told her how her blood would make him hungry and crazy, Alora felt she affected him negatively. "His Highness didn’t come to see me after that. I thought if I would stay quiet, he would fill his stomach well." She sighed and contemplated how to make her husband happy.
"If His Highness would be human, then I would have cooked a delicious meal for him. I don’t even know what are his likes and dislikes." This sudden realization caused her to wonder how could she not talk about this with her husband. She should know what he liked or hated. How could she be so naive for not asking about it?
She turned to leave the balcony and entered the main chamber. The maidservant was standing with her head low when Alora quickly put on the blindfold.
"Claire, do you know what the prince likes?" she asked.
"Pardon me, Your Highness. I don’t know," Claire answered. She helped Alora to sit on the sofa and asked her if she wished to see the Vampire Prince.
"His Highness must be busy at work," Alora remarked.
"No, Your Highness. The Prince has yet to take over the work," Claire gave out the clarification to her. "His Highness must be in the same residence," she added.
"Oh." Alora pondered why Magnus didn’t come to see her. "Did His Highness get angry at a human after drinking the blood from her?" she inquired.
"I have no idea about this either." Claire apologized for not knowing the answers to her questions so far.
Alora pouted her lips, thinking she had only to wait for Magnus to return.
~~~~~
Norman and Rhea curtsied to Magnus, who asked them to sit.
"Is everything alright, Your Highness?" Norman inquired. They both couldn’t see Alora around, so it troubled them if she did something that Magnus called them suddenly.
"Who cursed Alora and why did it happen?" Magnus didn’t beat around the bush and remained straightforward. "Why doesn’t Mrs. Wilson tell me?" he asked.
"A woman who was a witch came to me when I was in the sixth month of my pregnancy, Your Highness. She asked me if I want my daughter to be protected from the evil eyes. Like every mother, I said yes. She placed her palm against my womb that time and then handed me an apple, asking me to consume it. I did what the witch told me and my Alora’s eyes ended up like that." Rhea explained as tears escaped her eyes.
Magnus didn’t like tears, so he asked Norman to calm his wife. Now, he contemplated why a witch wanted to protect Alora from the evil eyes. What kind of evil eyes could fall upon Alora if she were normal like the others?
"How did Mrs. Wilson find out that the woman was a witch?" Magnus inquired.
"Only witches perform dark magic. The witch put a curse on Alora, instead of protecting her," Rhea said with watery eyes.
Magnus frowned upon hearing that. "Does Mrs. Wilson remember her face?" he queried.
"Yes, I do. How can I forget that face?" Rhea wiped the tears from the back of her palms.
"Tobias, go with Mr. and Mrs. Wilson to their homes along with a painter. I need the sketch of the witch, who did all this to Alora," Magnus instructed. Norman and Rhea exchanged glances, wondering if Magnus would look for a witch.
"Your Highness, can we meet Alora before leaving?" Rhea asked.
"Hmm, you can. Follow me," Magnus said and rose to his feet. He led their way to the chamber, where Alora was present.
Seeing the prince enter, Claire announced it to Alora, who left her seat.
"Your parents are here," Magnus informed her and stopped at his place. He slightly turned to gaze at both of them, gesturing for them to go ahead.
"Mother, Father, are you here?" Alora asked.
"Yes, we are," Rhea answered and approached her daughter soon. She warmly embraced Alora, who hugged her mother back.
"You don’t like your daughter, do you?" Magnus arched his brow at Norman. "It seems you don’t wish your daughter to live," he asserted.
"That is not true, Your Highness," Norman refused his claims.
Magnus chuckled. "You are bad at lying. I’m a predator. I wanted to hunt you down, but Alora begged me to spare you. So, be thankful to Alora for being such a kind-hearted daughter. Go ahead and talk to your daughter. Certainly, with love," he instructed Norman.
Norman nodded and immediately walked to Alora. Magnus’s words brought fear to him and he did what he was told.
Alora was surprised to hear her father’s sweet tone. She had only heard him using such a tone with Venus and Elliot, but not her. This was the first time she heard Norman talking in such a manner with her.
Alora hugged her father tightly since she missed it all this time.
"Your Highness, what is in your mind?" Tobias whispered near Magnus’s ear. "Princess Alora got such eyes for some reason. If anyone had evil eyes on her, would she be safe?"
Magnus knitted his brows together as he contemplated. "A werewolf attack on her way to Elmswood was not an ordinary one. Someone wanted Alora," he whispered and kept his gaze on Alora, who looked delighted.
