Chapter 76: No woman shall undergo that pain

Alora sat in front of the desk, lost in deep contemplation, her thoughts swirling as she practiced writing for half an hour. Despite her hopes, Magnus had yet to return.

"Did he go out to take fresh blood from someone?" she wondered aloud, recalling Izaak’s earlier words about Magnus’s unique nature. Unlike the other old vampires who had a firm control over their bloodlust, Magnus was different. His cravings would intensify during events of the moon, triggering a heightened bloodlust that was harder to resist.

"But there’s something about my eyes that helps Magnus regain his control," Alora murmured to herself, her mind consumed by thoughts of the mysterious power hidden within her gaze. Leaning back in her chair, she contemplated the truth behind her unusual ability.

Suddenly, the door swung open, startling Alora and drawing her attention to it. Her eyes widened with relief and excitement as Magnus stepped into the room.

"Magnus!" Alora exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with joy at the sight of him.

"Did I keep you waiting for too long?" Magnus asked as he entered the room, his voice filled with concern.

"No, not at all," Alora replied, setting the quill pen down on the desk before rising from her seat. She approached Magnus, her expression soft with worry as she inquired about his well-being.

"I satisfied my thirst earlier," Magnus reassured her. "I know you wish for me to drink from you, but your blood only intensifies my hunger instead of satiating it. I find it difficult to resist," he explained, his hand gently brushing away stray strands of hair from her temple as he spoke.

"Shall we retire to bed, or would you like to continue studying?" Magnus inquired, trying to know Alora’s preferences.

"No, I’m finished for the night," Alora replied, intending to tidy up the table before leaving.

"Tobias can handle that. Let’s go," Magnus insisted, taking Alora’s hand and leading her towards the bedchamber.

"I thought Prince Magnus went out for the hunt. I hope he doesn’t feel stifled," Alora remarked, expressing her concern for Magnus’s well-being as they walked together.

"I’ve already finished the hunt," Magnus affirmed with seriousness.

"Really?" Alora questioned, momentarily doubting his words.

"Yes. I couldn’t maintain my composure without fresh blood," Magnus explained. Sensing her silence, he inquired, "Are you afraid of me?"

"No, I’m not. I-I’m just curious," Alora responded honestly, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

They found themselves in their bedchamber, and Magnus released her hand before closing the door behind him and turning to face her, his expression unreadable.

"Curious about what?" Magnus inquired, his gaze penetrating as he sought an answer.

"Nothing," Alora replied softly, her eyes averting his intense gaze. She felt a gentle touch as Magnus lifted her chin, causing her to meet his gaze once more.

"I was wondering why my blood cannot quench your thirst," she stated, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I have no idea," Magnus admitted, releasing her chin from his gentle grasp. He reached for his broached scarf and removed it, setting it carefully on the clothed table before proceeding to remove his long coat.

"Your blood is as sweet as dessert," Magnus remarked, his voice carrying a hint of longing for her blood as he glanced back at Alora. With a slight smile, he continued, "But it’s a relief that I haven’t lost control tonight."

"I’ll be back shortly. You should get into bed," he suggested, before heading towards the washroom, leaving Alora alone in their bedchamber.

"Vampires may be powerful, but they also face numerous challenges," Alora murmured to herself, her thoughts swirling as she removed her slippers and made her way to the bed.

Climbing under the warm blanket, she nestled into the soft embrace of the bed, seeking solace and comfort in it.

She fidgeted with her fingers as the flashes from the previous night suddenly appeared in her mind. She found heat rising to her cheeks. Alora was quick to cover them with her hands when Magnus entered the room in a pair of comfortable night clothes made of satin.

She lay down, turning her back at her, not wanting him to notice or read her thoughts. Suddenly, she heard a loud growl of werewolves, causing her to turn around.

"What was that?" she asked. "It feels the werewolves are going crazy. Do you think Venus is fine?"

"I have sent Gabriel and Odin as per your request. Also, Venus cannot transform, so she is fine," Magnus said and brought his arm under her head. He drew her close to him and continued, "I don’t like it when you keep speaking about Venus."

Alora pursed her lips tightly. "I will be careful," she said and placed her hand on his chest. "I have never seen Venus scared. Please bear with me. I want to share my thoughts with you about what I feel. I think if my eyes were normal, she had a normal life too. She would be wedded off easily. Now, she will live as a divorcee, which will bring many questions on her from the people."

"Isn’t that the result of her own actions? You did warn her," Magnus stated.

"It is. However, no woman shall undergo that pain. I hope His Highness feels my current feelings toward my sister," Alora stated.

Magnus placed his hand above hers and he turned to face her. He traced her cheek from the back of his palm. "Alora, how much do you love yourself? I bet you consider your worth low," he remarked.

"I used to consider myself worthless, but not anymore," she responded with honesty. "I won’t let myself get fooled. I promise," Alora stated.

Magnus hummed and moved close to her. He softly kissed her lips, his hand moved to her lower back as he pulled her close; their bodies pressed together. He nipped her lip teasingly, making her lay on the mattress again as this time he hovered over her.

"If you get fooled by Venus, then you will let me do what I desire," Magnus suddenly said, waiting for her response.

Chapter 77: The King’s Order-1

"Why did Prince Magnus send us in the service of a human?" Odin complained.

"Because it is about Princess Alora’s sister’s safety," Gabriel stated as he sat on the roof of the house along with Odin. He looked at the giant blood moon while remembering the last time when it occurred.

"I thought Princess Alora’s family didn’t care for her. It’s strange that she’s still helping them," Odin remarked, shooting a questioning glance at Gabriel, who appeared lost in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" Odin inquired, drawing Gabriel’s attention back to the present.

"This time, Prince Magnus didn’t go on late-night hunting," Gabriel observed, furrowing his brow in contemplation. "I remember four years ago, he slaughtered over a hundred humans. Don’t you find that strange?" he voiced his doubts aloud.

"Yes, I noticed that too. I inquired with Prince Izaak about it," Odin elaborated.

"And?" Gabriel prompted, intrigued by the matter.

"According to Prince Izaak, it’s because of Princess Alora," Odin revealed, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"How so?" Gabriel pressed for further explanation.

"I believe Princess Alora’s eyes have something to do with it. Prince Izaak didn’t provide much detail," Odin replied, the distant growls of werewolves echoing in the atmosphere.

"Hmm," Gabriel acknowledged the answer.

Both of their gazes shifted simultaneously as they sensed the presence of a werewolf nearby the residence.

"I’ll go check," Odin volunteered, but Gabriel suggested they go together.

As they leaped down from the roof to reach the large balcony of the third floor, they utilized their supernatural strength to descend further.

"It appears the werewolves are interested in Miss Venus," Odin remarked.

"Her husband is a werewolf, that’s why," Gabriel replied knowingly. They both were present at the front of the house, trying to find out where the werewolf disappeared. "I can feel the presence of several werewolves," he murmured, casting a meaningful glance at Odin. Their attention was drawn to the imposing gate of the house, which suddenly swung open.

As Gabriel took a cautious step forward, a massive werewolf sprang forth, hurtling through the gate with a menacing air. Its eyes gleamed an eerie blue, marking it as a beta. Behind it, a host of others followed suit, scaling the gate with primal agility, their forms blending into the night.

Then, with a swift motion, the alpha werewolf shed his lupine guise, revealing the countenance of a man. He glanced at both Gabriel and Odin, wondering what the vampires were doing there.

"Eugene Lacroix!" Gabriel’s voice carried a note of recognition. "Your presence here is forbidden. Depart now, unless you wish for Prince Magnus to decide your fate," he declared firmly.

With a dismissive gesture, Eugene produced a scroll from his pocket and flung it towards Gabriel. "Read it and then attempt to hinder me," he challenged.

Drawing closer, Odin joined Gabriel as they unrolled the parchment, their eyes scanning its contents. It bore the unmistakable seal of the King himself. Eugene’s smile widened as he observed their reactions. "Defying this decree means defying the King himself. Present this royal edict to Prince Magnus and Princess Alora," he instructed, his tone laced with confidence.

"We cannot go against the King’s order," said Odin. Gabriel hummed and lowered his hands.

"Why have you chosen this late hour for your visit? It’s well past midnight. You could have easily waited until tomorrow," Odin pressed, his curiosity evident.

"I see no necessity in divulging my personal matters to you," Eugene countered, declining to disclose his motives for arriving at such an hour.

As the door of the residence swung open, Norman emerged, accompanied by his wife, Rhea. Both were visibly taken aback at the sight of the werewolves assembled on the cobblestone pavement, with Eugene positioned prominently at the forefront.

"Ah, it seems you’re all awake already. Please, fetch Venus for me," Eugene requested, his tone strangely calm amidst the peculiar circumstances.

"I will not surrender my daughter to a beast like you. Tomorrow, you will be served with divorce papers by the family and marriage bureau," Norman declared firmly. Elliot, appearing from within the house, joined them, visibly shaken by the presence of the werewolves.

"Norman Wilson, do you not desire to live out your days in peace and comfort? I have come to reclaim my wife. What Alora orchestrated earlier today was a humiliation to me. Though I may have rejected Venus, she remains part of the pack, and her fate will be determined by us," Eugene asserted, his voice carrying a hint of authority and resolve.

Norman and the others remained perplexed by Eugene’s cryptic words, unaware of the intricacies of werewolf customs. Rhea, sensing their confusion, turned to Gabriel and Odin, silently imploring their assistance.

"Lady Rhea, forgive us," Odin spoke solemnly. "We are bound by the decree of the King."

"I cannot allow my daughter to be taken by him," Rhea expressed with anguish, tears welling in her eyes. "Eugene deceived us into believing his family was like ours, but now..." Her voice trailed off, laden with disappointment and betrayal.

"Mother-in-law, do not worry. I am not going to kill your daughter after what she did to me. If you don’t bring Venus here, I will go inside," Eugene declared.

"Over my dead body. I will let you take away my daughter," Rhea stated as she stepped forward.

"Well, it seems you’ve left me with no other choice Mother-in-law," Eugene remarked with a disappointed glance before taking determined strides forward, poised to enter the mansion. However, his advance was halted by a chilling voice that sliced through the tension.

"Eugene, I warned you not to anger me. You should have thought better than to set foot in my wife’s ancestral home," Magnus’s voice thundered, carrying an undeniable authority.

The lined werewolves parted to make way for Magnus and Izaak, who stood apart from the others. Eugene turned to face them just as Magnus appeared before him in an instant, seizing him by the throat and lifting him into the air with a menacing grip.

Chapter 78: The King’s order-2

Half an Hour Ago

Izaak was leaning against the recliner when his close confidant, Connor, informed him how Shadow Blue Pack decided to bring back Venus to the pack on Eugene’s lead past midnight.

Izaak opened his eyes and he sat up straight. "Eugene indeed has a death wish," he murmured and stood up. "Are they heading to the Wilson house at this hour?" he asked.

"Yes, Your Highness," Connor confirmed. "May I inquire why we are involving ourselves with the werewolves now, Your Highness? Forgive my curiosity, as I’ve never been tasked with monitoring them before," he explained, casting his gaze downward.

"This time it’s for someone special," Izaak asserted.

Connor glanced up, briefly wondering if Izaak had developed feelings for someone, perhaps Venus. However, he quickly pushed aside such thoughts and asked Izaak for his next command.

"You needn’t concern yourself, Connor. I’ll handle this matter with my brother. You should retire for the night," Izaak instructed, dismissing him. Connor bowed and exited the chamber without further inquiry.

"It’s a nuisance to meddle with both humans and werewolves," Izaak grumbled as he ascended the stairs to Magnus and Alora’s chamber.

Stopping outside the door, he instructed the guard to fetch Magnus. "It’s urgent," Izaak emphasized to the guard, who promptly entered the chamber.

After a few minutes, the guard requested Izaak to go in as Magnus was waiting for him. Izaak entered the chamber’s seating area and saw Magnus was in his night clothes. "I think I disturbed your peaceful sleep, Magnus," he commented.

"You did. What’s the matter, Brother?" Magnus inquired as he put his one leg above the other.

"Eugene is on his way to bring Venus back. On the blood moon he knows he will be powerful just like us old vampires," Izaak informed him.

"Who told you this?" Magnus questioned him. "That bastard really needs a good lesson this time," he muttered as his jaw clenched.

"Connor. I asked him to be around the place where Eugene and his family live," Izaak answered.

"When did Brother Izaak become so thoughtful of the others?" Magnus chuckled as he rose to his feet. He needed to change into formal clothes. "I thought you were least interested in matters like these," he added.

"I don’t wish to see your wife whining in the morning," Izaak remarked.

"You’re showing true friendship towards her. It’s quite remarkable to see such a change in my brother," Magnus remarked, a faint smile gracing his lips.

"Alora is unlike any other friend I have. That’s why I’m willing to go to such lengths for her," Izaak replied. Magnus nodded understandingly and asked for a moment to prepare. Ten minutes later, he returned dressed formally, and together they made their way to the Wilson Family Residence.

Present Time:

Magnus hoisted Eugene into the air, his grip unyielding. "The blood moon casts a magnificent sight, doesn’t it? I advised you not to toy with me, Eugene. Lately, I’ve developed quite the appetite for blood," Magnus declared, his gaze filled with intimidation.

Eugene struggled, kicking his legs in a futile attempt to break free from Magnus’s hold. He had underestimated the power of an old vampire on the night of the Blood Moon.

Venus witnessed that entire scene through the window of her room and finally, her tears stopped. Her grandmother caressed her back, trying to calm her down. "Eugene won’t let me leave. Alora should have burned him," Venus mumbled.

Izaak placed his hand on Magnus’s shoulders, asking him to let go of Eugene. The next moment, Eugene landed on the ground and he coughed badly while catching his breath. The members of his werewolf pack had retreated, fearing Magnus more than they feared the King himself. Magnus’s reputation for delivering lethal punishment was well-known among them.

Eugene lay on the ground like a worm, his body trembling with fear. Though his wolf urged him to growl and retaliate against Magnus, he was too terrified to even muster the courage for that.

Magnus delivered a powerful kick to Eugene’s stomach, sending him flying several meters across the lawn, the force of the impact causing the soil to churn beneath him.

Eugene’s Beta, Kaiden, reverted to his human form and implored Magnus to cease his assault. "The King has issued orders for Venus’s return, following werewolf protocol," he explained to the two princes.

Izaak’s gaze shifted to Gabriel, who held the royal edict in his hands. He took it from Gabriel and read it quickly.

"Magnus, you need to stop. Father has sent an order. Venus isn’t fully released from the pack," Izaak approached Magnus as he showed him the royal edict.

Eugene chuckled as he rose from the ground. "Looks like we’re in for a brawl since the vampires are sticking their noses in werewolf affairs," he remarked.

"This is my wife’s home. You can cause trouble elsewhere, but not here, Eugene. Your threats hold no sway over me. Do not push me to kill you immediately. Depart before I remove your heart from your chest," Magnus warned, disregarding his father’s decree because he understood the underlying motives. He intended to address his father’s actions later, but for now, he needed to send away this bunch of werewolves.

Magnus’ anger used to heighten on the blood moon night and Eugene was triggering it. He wanted to end it nicely because he himself had no idea what he would do once his blood lust awakened.

Izaak felt like having a headache. Magnus had escalated the matter. He made a foolish mistake by letting Magnus get involved in this.

"Prince Magnus is going against the King’s order. Do you wish to go into a long sleep, Prince Magnus, as a punishment!?" Eugene slowly strode to him as he was hell-bent on taking Venus with him.

"Do you think I’ll fall asleep easily?" Magnus smirked. "I may put you into a deep sleep before that," he said as his jaw clenched.

Chapter 79: To bear the responsibility

Norman didn’t want Magnus to go against the wish of the King since it could affect the Wilson Family first then the prince himself. So, he decided to intervene this time to end this fight in an amicable way.

"Eugene, let’s find the middle way. Fighting in the middle of the night isn’t a good way," said Norman in his humble tone.

"This can end if you hand over Venus to me," Eugene said, glaring into the eyes of Magnus.

"Try taking her out of this house," Magnus challenged him. He promised Alora that he would not let Venus get harmed and for that, he could go to any lengths, even against his own father.

"Your Highness, please calm down," Norman said as he went to Magnus. "The King may punish my family for going against his command. Please understand," he asserted and then, he looked at Eugene.

"Your betrayal cannot be forgotten. Still, we have been humbled. You can’t take Venus away on the pretext that she belonged to your clan. I’ve been told how you are ready to take your mistress home, who is supposedly your mate. Every fact will be presented before the King and then, the decision will be made tomorrow," Norman proclaimed, showing him that the humans still held the authority.

Izaak wanted to end this in a friendly manner too. "Eugene, I stand with Mr. Wilson’s words. You need to go back. Tomorrow, let’s meet the King for the final decision. The vampires and the werewolves do not wish to get into a battle because of some humans. You know well who will be victorious in this battle," Izaak stated, trying to soothe the heated situation.

Eugene contemplated for a moment and agreed to Norman. "Prince Magnus, I will make sure to take Venus with me. I would like to see how Princess Alora stops me. I will make sure her eyes are taken off before that," he said with a smirk in a low voice and walked past him. He ordered his wolves to leave and they left the Wilson’s Residence.

Magnus seethed with anger towards his father’s actions. As he prepared to depart, Norman implored him to keep Alora out of the conflict. "I cannot tolerate any harm to my family, Your Highness. I pray that tomorrow she does not appear in the King’s court," Norman expressed, placing blame on Alora instead of Venus.

Enraged, Magnus seized Norman by his robe, drawing him close. Rhea and Elliot watched in terror as Magnus revealed his fangs for the first time.

"Blame your daughter. Do you think you would be saved tonight? It is all because of Alora that I have to keep you alive. You are her father too, so act like one," Magnus stated. He let him go only when Rhea requested him. Without waiting for another second, he left the mansion followed by Izaak, Gabriel and Odin.

Following behind the prince, Gabriel urged Izaak to halt Magnus and suggested they take the carriage to the palace residence instead.

"It’s the peak hour of the Blood Moon. Let Magnus walk; otherwise, he might resort to hunting humans," Izaak whispered. Gabriel fell silent, his gaze fixed on Magnus’s back.

Izaak matched Magnus’s stride, conveying a message. "Alora’s father resents her involvement in Venus’s affairs. Ensure she understands to keep her distance," he advised.

"I’m considering ending Norman’s life. He’s unworthy of living. Since I’ve known him, he’s harbored nothing but malice towards Alora," Magnus declared, his eyes darkening to a deeper shade of red. Izaak noticed how the veins around Magnus’s eyes appeared. He was gaining his true Vampire form and it was best to take Magnus back to the residence as soon as possible.

Magnus suddenly paused, causing the three of them to halt as well.

"I have important work to finish," Magnus said. Before Izaak could stop him, Magnus disappeared from his eyes. Izaak thought to go after him since Magnus was not in his right mind anymore and he feared that he might kill Eugene in the process.

"Go back!" Izaak ordered Gabriel and Odin before rushing after his brother.

"Magnus, where are you?" Izaak murmured, his voice barely audible in the thick fog that enveloped the dense woods. He pressed forward, his footsteps crunching on broken twigs beneath his boots, the sound echoing in the eerie silence of the forest. Despite the growling of werewolves nearby, he kept searching for his brother.

"Not now," Izaak muttered, rolling his eyes as he came face to face with a werewolf standing before him, its blood-red eyes fixed on him, poised for attack.

Izaak’s own eyes dilated as he unleashed his power, instilling fear in the werewolf. The wolf whimpered, taking a step back before fleeing into the darkness.

"I’ll have to reprimand Magnus for trespassing into werewolf territory," Izaak muttered, continuing on his path. He was determined to locate his brother and remove him from the situation before Magnus caused any further trouble.

However, despite an hour of searching, he couldn’t find Magnus anywhere. With a sense of resignation, he returned to the residence, hoping that Magnus would eventually return to the palace on his own.

Izaak sank into the living room couch, one knee raised while the other lay flat. He stared up at the ceiling, his thoughts swirling. "That’s why I never wanted Magnus to be involved with a human. Whatever he does tonight, Alora will have to bear the responsibility," he murmured to himself, a sense of concern evident in his voice.

Izaak closed his eyes, and suddenly, a vision related to Alora appeared before him. His breath caught in his throat as he witnessed Alora’s naked eyes in the vision—blue, deep, and as mesmerizing as the ocean.

"Magnus, I saved Izaak," Alora’s voice echoed in his mind.

Izaak exhaled deeply as he finally opened his eyes and sat up straight. "What was that?" he murmured to himself, feeling a sense of unease lingering within him, knowing that he had experienced something out of the ordinary.

Chapter 80: I killed Eugene

Alora opened her eyes with a smile on her face and tilted her head to look at Magnus, but to her surprise, he wasn’t there beside her.

Confused, she sat up and stretched her arms, wondering if Magnus had woken up earlier than her. As she got out of bed and tied the knots on her dress, she slipped on her slippers. Taking the robe and wearing it, she went out only to find Magnus seated on the couch of the seating area.

However, she found him silent, as if lost in deep contemplation. Alora approached him and called out his name in her soft tone.

Her eyes spotted the blood on his hands, and she quickly dropped to her knees, gently taking Magnus’s hands in hers. "What happened? Why are your hands..." she trailed off as she met his gaze. His eyes were dark red, filled with an unfamiliar, agonized emotion.

Alora remained on her knees, her hand reaching out to gently caress Magnus’s cheek. "What happened? Why are you like this? And why didn’t you wake me?" she asked, concern evident in her voice.

"I killed Eugene and his family," Magnus replied with a smirk. "In doing so, I’ve challenged the King," he added, with a bitter chuckle.

Alora knew Magnus didn’t joke with her. He truly killed all of them. But, why? Her eyes turned watery as she felt scared inside. What exactly happened that he had to do that?

"Eugene said something, which made me decide that he shouldn’t live anymore. Do you hate me for doing that?" Magnus questioned as he moved his cheek on her palm.

"No. I can never hate you," Alora truthfully told him. "I think the reason must be a big one that Prince Magnus decided to do it," she asserted. "However, going against the King wasn’t wise."

Alora pulled up Magnus and took him to the washroom to clean his hands. She was scared inside thinking that a fight would break out between the vampires and the werewolves.

"Please sit here," Alora made him sit beside the bathtub on a stool. As Magnus listened to her, she brought a barrel of water and grabbed his hands to wash them.

Magnus affectionately looked at her and let her wash his hands.

"Your Highness, what happened last night?" Alora asked as she wiped the blood off his fingers. "Why didn’t His Highness wake me up?"

"Eugene went to your house to take Venus to his pack," Magnus answered.

Alora’s fingers stopped and she met his gaze.

"A lot of things happened. My father played well by giving a command to Eugene, which he showed off to me. However, as per my promise to you, I made sure Venus won’t be taken out of the Wilson Residence," Magnus stated.

Alora peered into his eyes while being speechless. "Magnus, what Eugene did do that you decided to kill him? You know that you’ll be blamed," she said with a worried expression.

"For what? He broke the rules first. And I hardly leave anyone unpunished, who annoys me," Magnus stated.

"What if Venus blames you?" Alora suddenly asked her.

"For taking that bastard’s life? I didn’t kill him because of her. I killed him because he said..." Magnus paused as he didn’t wish to tell Alora what Eugene called her.

"Please finish the words," Alora said.

"Nothing. You should freshen up. I’ll see you soon," Magnus asserted, gesturing to her to leave.

She shook her head and said, "I want to hear the truth. The King will summon you soon because the news will spread out. At least, I should know the matter to defend you." The concern in her eyes grew for him.

"Eugene would have created troubles for us in the future," Magnus replied, still reluctant to disclose Eugene’s disrespectful remarks about Alora. He could bear anything but disrespect towards her.

"Did Eugene say something about me?" Alora inquired. "Magnus, you mustn’t take a life for my sake. It’s not justifiable," she insisted.

"That won’t happen. Because you’re right, you deserve protection. I don’t need individuals like Eugene around who fail to grasp your worth to me. I’ve said it countless times—I’d take on the whole world for you," Magnus declared solemnly.

**Flashback Starts**

After Magnus asked Izaak if he would return late, he went straight behind Eugene.

Upon reaching Eugene’s house, Magnus stopped him.

"Why was His Highness following me?" Eugene asked.

"Because you said something about Alora, which I absolutely hated," Magnus retorted firmly.

Eugene advanced, demanding, "What did I say?"

Magnus’s expression hardened and a dark expression formed on his grimace. "Prince Magnus is well aware that Alora doesn’t deserve to live. What I mentioned about her was justified. Her eyes should be gouged out, and I’ll ensure the King orders it," Eugene declared smugly.

"Repeat that if you dare!" Magnus challenged, his voice steely.

"Seems Prince Magnus’ hearing is lacking," Eugene sneered. "Didn’t he hear me perfectly well?" He chuckled, confident that Magnus wouldn’t dare to harm him within the werewolves’ territory.

Magnus fed up with Eugene’s insolence, seized his throat firmly. "Eugene, it’s time for you to take a nap," Magnus growled, tightening his grip.

Eugene felt his windpipe constricting dangerously when his father intervened, coming to his rescue. However, Magnus, fueled by determination, forcefully cast Eugene aside with his immense strength.

He had resolved to terminate this family, recognizing that their continued existence would only bring further trouble for him and Alora.

**Flashback Ends**

"Your Highness, promise me that you will not defend me today in front of the King," Alora stated after hearing the flashback.

"Why?" Magnus frowned to hear her.

"Because I don’t want you to be blamed. Let me carry that sin. Please," Alora requested.

"Why do you think it is a sin?" Magnus questioned her. "Let’s suppose it is a sin, then let me have that sin. Alora isn’t born to carry any sin. She is born with a bigger purpose, which makes her sit above all of us," Magnus said with a smile.

"You don’t know my father and mother. To get rid of you, they planned this. Eugene should not be given permission to take Venus away. Father began this rift and I only ended it in a better way," Magnus proclaimed.
