Ch. 401..405: The Werewolf's Vampire Mate Chapter 401-405

Chapter 401: A clue

Gyles

"What do you want to show me?" I ask her as she walks towards me.

"I want to show you everything. Everything that we went through, everything that happened to us. I want to show you the past and the present. Everything," she whispers in my ear and the sound sends chills down my spine.

I don’t know anything for sure but it seems like she is a ghost. I know we have seen a lot of things in our lives. I. am a fucking supernatural being but I have never really believed in ghosts. I always thought death was final. That there was no way that you could come back or talk to the living.

She is standing right in front of me now. I can’t help but stare at her. Her eyes are empty and her face is lifeless. She is wearing a sad smile and I can tell that she has been crying. I can see the tears on her cheeks and they are glistening.

"Who are you? What is your name?" I ask her and she looks at me, her eyes moving back and forth across my face.

"I am Eleanor, I have been waiting for you," she tells me and I shake my head.

"Waiting for me? What do you mean? Are you a ghost?"

a ghost. The words were so absurd. like I can’t even fathom that that word just came out of my mouth.

"I don’t know if I am. I don’t know anything." she looks around the room and a part of her seems confused.

"You said you are not the only one, who else is with you?" I ask her as I try to piece everything together.

"I am not here on my own. They are here too," she says in a soft tone.

"Who are they?" I ask her and she takes a deep breath.

"The others. We are all here. We are all here together." she says and I feel like I am about to vomit.

She looks towards the window and screams. I spin around and see something at the window. At first, it all looks like shadows. I almost don’t catch on it but their eyes brighten up and I jump off the bed until my back hits the wall roughly.

My hands tremble as I try to get back up on my feet. Fucking hell, what is going on "Why are you doing to this me?’’ I ask her as I hold my hands up in a defensive position.

"I am not doing this to you. This is what they want to show you. They want you to know about them too. You asked and they came out.’’

I shake my head because this is too much for me to handle "Am I being haunted?’’

she shakes her head "You are the only one that can help us. We are not here to make you afraid of us. We just need you to help us.’’

She has been repeating the same thing over and over again. It is making me dizzy and confused.

"I don’t know how to help you," I tell her honestly. She seems to think I am the only one that can set them free. I don’t even know where they are. I don’t know how to set them free.

"Touch the book, it will show you everything you need to understand.’’ she tells me and in another swift movement, she is gone.

I look around the room but I can’t find her anywhere. I walk over to the book and my fingers hover above the cover. I can’t bring myself to touch it. I am still scared of the thing.

"I am not going to hurt you. It will show you everything you need to know.’’ I hear her voice but I can’t pinpoint where she is. "Touch it, Gyles. Touch it and you will find us." she tells me and I shake my head.

my hand is still lingering on the covers but I know that I have no choice but to do this. I already convinced Blue that this is the only way I can figure this all out and from everything that has happened, if I don’t do this, they will keep tormenting me.

I rest my hand on the book and it jumps up flipping open to a page and a bright light emanates from the page.

I squint my eyes because the light is so bright, my eyes are burning from it. I close the book and when I open it again, everything changes.

I am standing in the middle of a room, a room I don’t recognize. The walls are red and there are chains on the walls. In the middle of the room is a woman with her back to me. she is in front of the chains on the wall, it seems like she is waiting for something. I walk closer because I need to see her face, I need to know who she is.

She is wearing a long black dress and her hair is braided in a neat manner. I just about make out the color of her hair but the light is too dim. The sound of the door opening distracts me and I turn to it before I get a chance to see her face.

I look towards the door and I see a man walk in. He is wearing black pants and a shirt. His hair is short and he has stubble that covers his face. I watch him as he drags a man with him into the room. The man’s eyes are blindfolded, he is bruised up and moaning out in pain.

"Please, please don’t do this to me," I hear the man begging but the man in the room does not listen to him. I watch as he locks the door behind him and he walks towards the woman in the middle of the room.

The woman lets out a giggle and she turn around. It takes a second for me to realize that the woman is Analise.

Blue’s mother.

Of course, this has something to do with the coven.

Chapter 402: Not human

Gyles

Now that I see Analise, I don’t want to be here anymore. I don’t want to see whatever this is because it must be something bad. Something that has to do with Eleanor and what happened to her.

I watch the man get chained up, I watch as Analise watches like it something amusing to watch. "I beg you, please don’t do this,’’ The man begs as she walks over to him. I am glad I am not really here, glad that she can’t see me because I hate this woman and I don’t even know her.

the things that Levine showed Rex, still creep up to me. I can feel the pain of the man that is standing in front of me as she takes out a knife. The man has his eyes closed, he can’t see, and he is shaking in fear. I know what is coming and I want to look away but I can’t. I want to know what is going on and what she plans to the with killing this man because that is what it looks like to me. She is going to kill him.

an innocent man.

Analise walks behind the man and she puts her hand on his shoulder. She talks to him in a soothing tone, like she is trying to calm him down.

"I am sorry for this, I know you have a family, I know that you are a good man and that you don’t deserve this but I need you to do this for me,’’ she says and this makes me even angrier.

the man shakes his head, and nudges, trying to break free with so much desperation "Get me the bucket,’’ she calls to the man that came in earlier. The man nods and walks out. I look around the room, my eyes are wide open. I am trying to figure out what is going on. I am trying to understand what I am watching right now and what she wants to do with him.

The man walks back into the room and walks over to her with a metal bucket. I watch Analise as she collects it from him and drops it on the ground, I notice that there is sand on the ground. Almost like this room was never even cemented.

This confuses me even more.

The only good thing about watching this is that I know for a fact that Analise is dead. if she was alive, I would have reacted to this differently. There is nothing I can do but watch. I have to stand here and watch her as she presses the knife to the man’s neck, in search of his vein.

I watch her as he begs her desperate for saving. I watch her ignore his cries; I watch her slice his neck. My stomach has knots in it. I feel like I am going to puke but I can’t. This is the vilest I have ever seen anyone act and I am surrounded by vampires and werewolves. I have seen a lot of death in my life but this man looks helpless and innocent.

I take a deep breath and I close my eyes as I wait for the man to die as she puts the bucket close to the place where she sliced off. His blood starts to drip into the bucket and I watch the scene, shocked and confused. I am hybrid and I drink blood for a living, I mean, without blood, I wouldn’t exist but this is a lot more than I would even do. I don’t know how I am supposed to feel about this. I never wanted to see this but this is something that I was supposed to see.

"What is the point of this?’’ I shout to no one in particular because I know that Eleonor is not here.

The man takes his last breath, or should I say his last attempt at breathing and I close my eyes. I need to remember that this is not happening in real-time. there is noth9ing I can do to prevent his death because this is the past. Analise is dead. she is gone and this must be something she has done in her life. Something evil that makes me even hate her more.

I open my eyes, and I watch as she takes off the man’s blindfold. I watch as she looks at him, as she stares into his eyes. This is when I find her even more aggravating. there is no remorse in her eyes.

"This should last us for a month,’’ she turns to the man in the room. She walks over to him and she hands him the bucket. The man nods and he walks out of the room with a bucket full of blood.

This doesn’t make sense to me.

What does she want to do with the blood?

The man walks back into the room and she taps him on the shoulder. His eyes roam around the room "on it,’’ he tells her without even saying a word.

I watch him as he unchains the man which makes him fall to the floor so roughly that I feel for the corpse of the man that once was alive.

he drags his body to a corner in the room and he throws him over his shoulder. I watch as he walks out of the room with the man in his arms. my eyes follow him as I try to figure out what she wants to do with this situation. Blue’s mother just murdered a man in cold blood and drained him off all the blood in his body.

This must have something to do with magic.

I watch as Blue’s mother walks over to the corner of the room and she drops a few coins on the ground. I am not sure what the coins are, but from the looks of it, they must be some kind of protection. I watch as she puts her hands on the wall and she starts to hum. I watch as the wall in front of her opens. The walls move and a door opens up. I am shocked and I am even more shocked when I see the man walk back into the room with the bucket, as they both walk into the wall. I am confused and I don’t think I have ever been this confused in my life.

This is the first time I witness magic being used in front of my eyes and it is the kind of magic that makes me understand that I am not the only one that is not human.

I watch as the wall closes and I am left alone with my thoughts. I don’t know how to handle this.

Fucking hell

Chapter 403: Turn for the worse

Gyles

Eleanor flashes back into view once the walls are closed. I don’t know what is going on inside the walls. They took the blood but somehow found a place to dispose of the body. It doesn’t seem like the first time they are doing this and that is what worries me the most.

"What does this have to do with you?’’ I ask her as she walks closer to me.

Her eyes roam around the room and I see the fear in them. She is afraid of the place she is in. I don’t even know if this is a place. A hallway in a basement--a room. I don’t know if this is even real. I look around the room and I see nothing but a sandy floor. The walls are made out of cement, but the roof is made out of wood. It seems like it is just a wooden box that is holding the walls together. I don’t even know if this is an actual room. I don’t even know if this place is even in blue’s house.

"Our souls are lost, we can’t move on from this place,’’ she waves her hands in the air, I see her tremble. She is afraid of something.

"What are you talking about?’’ I am getting frustrated. She is talking in riddles and it is irritating me on a level to no end.

" You have to tell me what you mean. I don’t understand these riddles,’’ I tell her but she turns to the door and runs out of it. I follow her because I font know what she expects from me. Her trail leads me to a hallway, and I see her as she makes a turn for the corner and disappears out of my sight.

"Stop running from me,’’ I shout so loud in hopes that she would just get to the point of this but I don’t get a response, so I walk to where she passed and I see her standing in front of a doorway. She is looking at the ground, her back turned to me. I walk toward her and I stop directly behind her. I see the door and it is ajar. I walk over to it and I push it open. The darkness inside the room makes me pause. I am afraid to go inside.

I can feel Eleanor behind me and I can feel her fear. it is like a scent in the air. It makes me want to go inside the room, but I don’t. I can feel the fear in Eleanor’s soul. She is afraid to go inside the room.

I turn around and look at her. I want an explanation; I want the truth. I want to know what she is hiding from me.

"Why are you afraid? What is inside the room?’’ I ask her and she shakes her head.

"I can’t, but you can,’’ she tells me and I blink a few times. I don’t know what she means by that. I don’t even know what I am supposed to do with her words.

"What do you want me to do?’’ I ask her, I am confused. I don’t know what she wants from me.

"You have to go inside the room, you have to see what is in there. That is the only way to understand this,’’ she tells me and I nod my head. I walk into the room and my eyes go to the floor, and then to the walls. It is a dark room, but I can see the floor and the walls. There is no light in this room, so I don’t know what I am walking into. The first thing that hits me is the stench. It is terrible. I take a step back and walk back outside, she is still standing there, watching and waiting for me. Almost like she wants me to figure out what she is talking about. I turn to her and I walk up to her.

"That smell is coming from the room. it smells like death,’’ I echo into the halls.

it makes sense, they carried the body out of that room and probably brought it here. it doesn’t smell like fresh death; it doesn’t smell like someone that just died.

it smells decayed, like decomposition.

"This doesn’t make sense,’’ I tell her and she nods her head.

"That room is a gateway to hell. It has been there for years, but only a few have seen it,’’ she tells me and my eyes go wide. I don’t even know what to say but light flashes and I see all the bodies on the walls of the room, hanging corpses. it is like a meat locker. A room where you keep the bodies. a few of them have turned to skeletons. some look decomposing. I can feel the fear in Eleanor’s soul. I can sense it; it is like breathing out the fear.

but it’s not just fear. it is pain.

"What the fuck is this place?" I turn to her and watch as she starts to walk away, I don’t know where she is going. I run after her and I grab her hand. I don’t know what I am going to do.

This is more than I want to even handle.

"Were you murdered here?"

She turns to me slowly. She is crying but instead of tears, blood is pouring out her eyes. "You have to answer me, I don’t know what is going on here. I am not the right person to help you with this."

She starts to wipe the blood from her face but it just ends up smearing everywhere "You need to kill her, that is the only way we can be free,’’ she grabs both of my hands, her attempt at getting me to see things her way.

"Who, Analise?"’ I ask her confused out of my mind right now.

her eyes open wide and a flash of recognition hits her immediately as she nods her head. I frown in confusion "Analise is dead. what are you talking about?’’ I ask her and she shakes her head.

"No, she is not dead. She is still alive. She has a new body,"’ she tells me and I take a step back. "My blood still runs through her veins, as long as she has my blood inside her, she is still alive."

I shake my head again, this time wanting my words to stick, "she is not ALIVE. Analise is dead. I am sure of it.’’

She is dead.

I am sure of it.

Chapter 404: Out of it

Blue

I push the room door open when I hear a slight sound come from his room. I told him I was outside if anything happened.

with the door open, I see him on the bed and he opens his eyes immediately, almost like he is being pulled back to reality. His clothes are covered in sweat and it seems like he has been crying.

"Hey,’’ I walk closer to the bed to make sure he is okay. He grabs me immediately and from the touch, I feel his trembles.

"What happened? are you okay?" I ask him and he just puts his head down.

"I am not okay,’’ he tells me and I look at him in confusion.

"What happened?’’ I ask again and he takes a deep breath.

"I have to tell you something. I have to tell you everything,’’ he looks at me and I watch him as the tears slip from his eyes. He is taking this a lot harder than I thought he would. I don’t know what she showed him but it seems like it was something bad.

that is the only way he would have this kind of reaction to whatever it was. I hear Rex’s footsteps but he is still lingering by the door.

"You can talk to me, ’’ I assure him as my eyes find their way to the book. It is on a corner of the bed, somehow, he must have tossed it.

He pushes past me and gets up from the bed, "Can we go back to yours first, I don’t want to be here right now,’’ he tells me as he walks over to Rex, and for a second, he stays in his arms. He is crying and Rex whispers something into his ear. I don’t know what he is saying to him but I can see the relief on his face.

I follow them out of the room and then out of the house. The sky is clear and I can see the bright moon in the sky. There are a few stars around it and I can see the big dipper. It runs through the sky like a trail of stars that just wants to help us find our way.

I look back at him and I watch as he takes a few steps ahead of us. He is looking at the ground like he is in a daze. I follow behind him and I watch as Rex grabs his hand. He is still crying and I don’t know what to do. "What is going on? I thought she was supposed to help you make things clearer,"’ I ask him because this was supposed to give him a clear resolve. He seemed to think the only way that the voices would stop is if she showed him what she wanted to and now that she has, he should know what we need to help her.

Looking at him right now, he seems more terrified than resolved, almost like he has seen something that he wished he didn’t. I get why seeing ghosts can be scary but I have always known that they exist. The fact that vampires and werewolves exist, nothing else can surprise me.

We get to the guest quarters and he walks up to my room and we follow him quietly. I know he is trying to process everything he saw and when he is ready, he would tell us but I just want to know so that we can figure out the solution together. He needs to know that I am here for him.

"I don’t know what happened,’’ he turns to us and looks at me. "but what she showed me is worse than anything I have ever seen before,’’ he tells me and I close the door behind us. Maybe that might be an exaggeration on his part because Gyles has seen a lot. From all the things I gathered about him, he has seen death so many times, whatever he saw cannot be worse than all the things that he has been through. Right? His voice is still shaking as he sits down on the edge of the bed.

"Blue,’’ he calls my name and my heart quickens its pace because now, he is facing me and I can already sense that this is about me. He is about to tell me something I don’t want to hear. "That woman showed me," he pauses and then covers his hands with his face. I don’t want to push him to say what it is even if I might be so curious to know right now. I can see that he is struggling enough as it is. I don’t want him to think that he has to say this right now.

"Do you want to take a breather, talk about this when you are ready,’’ I walk up to him and sit down on the edge of the bed, in front of him? He uncovers his face and looks at me sadly, shaking his head.

"I have to tell you now; you need to know. we need to figure this out." he rambles and I don’t even have a clue on what he is saying.

I nod my head and reach for his face, wiping the tears off with slow caresses, he closes his eyes as I watch him.

sad for everything that is happening.

I wish I could help more than I am right now.

"Just breathe, when you are ready, we are here,’’ I look at Rex and he manages a faint smile.

After a few minutes of silence, he opens his eyes and looks at me. "It is about your mother,’’ he mutters and I watch him because a part of me knew that this would all just fall back to the coven.

He looks down at his hands as he continues, "She is alive, Blue. She has a new body and she is still alive."

My eyes open wide because I didn’t expect those words from him. I just thought this would have to do with a mistake she made while she was still alive.

How is this possible?

Chapter 405: Ready to take it all

Blue

Your mother took over someone’s body.

I don’t have all the answers but she is still alive, she still has all the power. She won in the end.

Those words have been seeping through my mind all night.

Fuck.

I don’t know what to believe.

I am tired of her haunting me.

Her death gave me an escape and now Gyles is saying she never died. How am I supposed to handle that now?

"We need to find out more about this," Rex says, he is trying to be strong. I can see the confusion in his eyes.

I am staring at Gyles and he is still looking down at his hands. I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what to believe anymore.

I thought that if we could find out more about the woman, things would get clearer but this is all a mess.

"How are we supposed to do that?’’ I ask him, wanting to hear his take on this. I left the coven with no intentions of ever going back. Yeah, at that moment, it seemed like I was running away from all my problems. I took the two most important people in my life and left the place that was once home, even though I was too sure that Badger needed to be stopped. But now, I am starting to think that maybe, I should have stayed. It is almost like we let the bad guy win at the end and maybe this is the punishment I get for being a coward.

"I don’t know, we might have to go back,’’ he mutters quietly. there is dread in his tone, he doesn’t want to go back to the coven--hell, I don’t even want to step foot in that hell but now it seems like Gyles is tethered to the place because of that book. I am the one that brought the book to the coven, I am the one that caused all this.

"I am not taking you guys back to that place. there is no way I will risk your lives again.’’ I shake my head immediately. I am the only one that is going to go back home. I don’t want a situation where they get hurt again because of me.

"We are not letting you go without us, there is no way that will happen." he shakes his head and I know he is not kidding. If I go back, they will be by my side.

"No, I am not putting you two at risk again," I say and he shakes his head.

He is not taking no for an answer.

"We will figure this out together. You are doing that thing again where you feel the need to handle it all on your own.’’

I sigh "She is my mother; I need to handle this on my own.’’

"And we are your mates, we need to be there for you. There is no other way.’’

"Can we not even talk about this right now, I don’t even want to think about going back to that place,’’ Gyles speaks up, cutting our argument short.

I look at Gyles and he is shaking his head. Something just dawns on me, going back is the only way we can free him from this hold. I don’t know of any other option.

"What can I do now, to make you feel better?’’ I ask him because I want him to forget about all the things he saw.

"It is almost a full moon, can we do the ceremony before we go back?’’ he asks me, his eyes meeting mine. my heart thuds against my chest at the excitement of the prospects.

I want that so badly.

"Can we do that?’’ Rex asks and I nod my head.

"Yes, we can speak to Alby, find out what we need to do. I want this too,’’ I tell them both joyously.

we have been so busy with everything else that we have been putting this on the back burner.

I don’t want to think about the fact that my mother is still alive and that she is out there somewhere.

I just want to have a moment with my mates right now doing the pone thing we have talked out about for so long. I heard from Blue that the ritual is supposed to make us stronger. I need all the strength I can get to protect them.

My wolf is not at its strongest--in fact, it is in the weakest state I have ever seen. I have been trying to hold it together for some time now. I am an alpha but it doesn’t even feel like it.

Yeah, after I found out about my Lycan side, I connected with my wolf but lately, I have been feeling very disconnected. I don’t know if I am the one causing the distance between us or if it is something else.

I am just trying to protect the two people that mean the most to me in this world and I know that I am not doing a very good job. I need to be stronger.

I am hoping that the ritual will help me get back to where I need to be. I have no idea what will happen when I perform the ritual but I need to do something.

"Let’s go see Alby, we will start the process as soon as possible," I say and I can see relief in both of their eyes.

I know they want this just as much as I do.

I am not sure what I would do without them.

This mating ritual is going to be the beginning of our union. I am excited and happy for what is yet to come.

We get to the front of Alby’s house and I turn to Gyles. He is looking at me and I watch as his lips tilt upwards and a smile spreads on his face. He is excited about this too.

That’s good.
