Ch. 181..185: Trapped in a Secret Marriage with a Dangerous Billionaire Chapter 181-185

Chapter 181: Backlash

The bedroom lights glimmered softly as Olivia paced back and forth, her heart pounding with rage. The brutal comments she had read on Tea Time Gossip Blog had struck a nerve, each word stinging more than the last.

Her phone sat discarded on the bed, its screen dark, but the echoes of the criticism seemed to resonate in her mind like a relentless chorus.

"They think they can crush me with their words?" she muttered under her breath, her fists clenched tightly. "I will show them."

Determined not to let the narrative spiral further out of her control, Olivia abruptly stopped pacing. She picked up her phone, her eyes gleaming with resolve, and began setting up her ring light and phone stand in the small living area of her bedroom.

Next, she went to sit in front of her dresser to apply some makeup. Though it took her some time, she didn’t mind as she couldn’t afford to look less than her usual self.

Olivia went back to the living area to adjust the camera angle, ensuring her face was well-lit and every detail of her pristine makeup was captured.

With a deep breath, she sat down and hit the ’Go Live’ button.

---

The number of viewers climbed rapidly, the chat section buzzing with mixed reactions as her followers joined in. Some sent greetings, while others immediately bombarded her with harsh comments. Olivia forced a warm smile as she waved at the screen.

"Hello, everyone," she began, her tone a blend of sweetness and underlying frustration. "Thank you for joining me tonight. I know there’s been a lot of noise recently, and I felt it was only fair to address some of the allegations and comments being thrown around."

The chat exploded with messages:

ItsAnora; "Let’s hear what lies you’ve cooked up now."

Pweetyisha; "Finally! Speak for yourself, Olivia!"

Misspolina; "This is going to be good. Grabbing popcorn."

Olivia’s jaw tightened slightly, but she maintained her composure.

"First of all," she said, looking directly into the camera, "I know most of you bloggers are heartless and insensitive, but you need to take a chill pill with your accusations. I never said I gave my sister any idea for her champagne. I only innocently hinted at something that happened between us. Stop twisting my words to suit your agendas."

Taking a moment to glance at the comments scrolling across the screen, she noted the skepticism mixed with hostility.

"Secondly," Olivia continued, her voice trembling slightly, "I am still going through one of the most traumatic and heartbreaking phases of my life. I lost my child, and I am yet to recover from that pain. So please, I am begging you all—stop calling me out with fabricated lies. Show some compassion."

Her hand went to her chest as if to steady her breathing, and she paused for dramatic effect.

"I will no longer reply to any comments or resort to explaining myself further. This is the last time I will address this."

She finished with a soft smile, her tone now heavy with emotion. "Thank you for listening, and goodnight." With that, she ended the stream.

---

Feeling a wave of relief wash over her, Olivia exhaled deeply and dismantled her setup. She hummed softly to herself as she arranged the area, believing she had successfully turned the tide in her favour.

With a high-level surge of confidence, she went back to her dresser to sit and remove her makeup while staring at herself through the mirror with a smug smile.

"I don’t believe that I can’t even take care of something as little as this," she mumbled to herself.

Finally, when Olivia was ready to get to bed, she picked up her phone and tucked herself in. As soon as the back of her head hit the pillow, she checked her phone again and her heart sank.

The comments under her LIVE video she had posted on her Instagram page were anything but supportive. The fans struck back without any ounce of pity for her.

Momof5boys; "You’re daring to mention Aurora’s name because you know she isn’t an attention seeker who will set up a camera to explain herself."

DeluluOlivia; "Vintage Cellar should stop selling Spraying Champagne unless they’re trying to swindle us. Olivia, your ’rotten grapes’ idea isn’t clever; it’s gross."

Christy123; "If you’re so traumatized about your husband’s cheating and miscarriage, why did you accept the podcast interview in the first place? Stay home and heal."

Crazybitch; "Olivia is just an attention seeker. If she can’t handle criticism, maybe she should disappear from the public eye entirely."

Each comment felt like a dagger slicing through Olivia’s composure. Her hands shook as she continued scrolling, unable to stop herself from reading more:

Mindmybusiness; "Stop pretending to be the victim. You’ve built this mess around yourself. Deal with it."

Foreignprint; "Olivia, you’ve tried to ruin Aurora’s life too many times. Karma is finally catching up to you."

jessicaK; "If I were you, I’d delete my account and go live in the mountains where no one can find me."

---

Olivia’s breathing quickened as her vision blurred with unshed tears. A deep, hollow despair now replaced the anger that had burned so brightly earlier. She threw her phone onto the bed, burying her face in her hands as sobs wracked her body.

"They’re all psychopaths," she muttered through gritted teeth, her voice muffled. "How can they be so cruel? I only wanted to defend myself."

But as the comments continued to pour in, Olivia couldn’t ignore the harsh reality: the world wasn’t buying her narrative. No matter how many times she tried to explain or shift the blame, her actions had already painted a picture the public refused to erase.

And now, she was left alone in her gilded cage, surrounded by the echoes of her crumbling reputation.

---

The bedroom door creaked open, and Owen stepped in. He glanced at Olivia, whose face was red with suppressed rage as she continued scrolling.

"Finally realizing how much you’ve embarrassed yourself?" he sneered, crossing his arms. Coincidentally, he was awake, and had seen both Tea Time’s Gossip blog’s article and also Olivia’s livestreaming and couldn’t help coming to find her.

Olivia shot him a deadly glare. "Shut up, Owen. If anyone’s an embarrassment, it’s you."

Owen chuckled darkly. "Oh, I’m sure the world thinks otherwise, considering that podcast disaster you just pulled off. Plus, the livestreaming. You’ve managed to drag my name, your name, and both of our families into the mud—yet again. And now, even the bloggers and the keypad warriors won’t let you off."

Olivia leapt to her feet, pointing a shaking finger at him. "Don’t act like you are innocent in this! If it weren’t for your constant cheating and that incident at the club, none of this would’ve happened!"

Owen stepped closer, his tone icy. "The difference, Olivia, is that I don’t parade myself as a saint. You, on the other hand, try to play the victim while dragging everyone down with you."

Their heated exchange was interrupted by the sharp buzz of Olivia’s phone. She glanced at it and saw a notification from Tea Time Gossip’s Instagram page.

The club video had started trending again, reminding everyone of how she busted Owen with his mistress at the club after claiming not to recall the scene.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Tea Time Gossip blog posted screenshots from that unforgettable moment during Olivia and Owen’s bachelorette party which thousands of fans watched from the popular social media influencer, Susu, LIVE recording.

Olivia’s face drained of colour as Owen let out a mocking laugh. "Oh, look at that. Your precious fans are doing you a favour."

"You... you’re the worst mistake of my life!" Olivia shouted, throwing her phone onto the bed.

"And you’re mine," Owen retorted before storming out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

In as much as Owen was happy that Olivia got a clap back, he also couldn’t help feeling a rage as a result of being linked with her.

---

Meanwhile, more diminishing comments kept rolling in, each one a nail in the coffin of Olivia’s reputation.

BestPlayer13; "The club video is trending again! Olivia really thought she could fool us."

OliviaOnColos; "Owen might be trash, but Olivia’s no saint. They’re a match made in hell."

Lilybet; "Aurora must be laughing her head off right now."

Olivia collapsed onto the bed, burying her face in her hands. For the first time, the full weight of her crumbling facade hit her. The internet was relentless, and she was drowning in its fury.

As the night wore on, Olivia’s mind raced. How would she recover from this? What could she do to turn the tides in her favour?

But deep down, she knew the answer: nothing. The damage had already been done. But now, she was struggling to make a decision.

Olivia was tied between deleting the LIVE video from her Instagram page and leaving it on there. But one thing was sure, no matter which action she took, it wasn’t going to stop tongues from wagging.

Chapter 182: Threats

The air in the Vintage Cellar conference room was heavy with tension as department heads, directors, and senior management settled into their seats.

Stephanie, seated at the head of the long table, exuded an aura of authority that silenced any murmurs. At the centre of today’s emergency meeting was one person—Olivia.

Her LIVE stream debacle had stirred the internet into a frenzy, dragging Vintage Cellar’s name through the mud. Everyone was here to discuss the fallout.

Stephanie tapped a pen against her notebook, her sharp gaze sweeping across the room before landing on Olivia. "Let’s begin."

---

"Olivia," Stephanie started, her voice measured, "we gave you the opportunity to promote your Spraying Champagne and prove its worth. Instead, you’ve done the opposite."

Olivia sat up straighter in her chair, her hands clasped tightly on the table. "I’ve done nothing wrong," she said through gritted teeth. "Someone is clearly trying to sabotage me."

A senior director scoffed. "And who, exactly, do you think is trying to sabotage you?"

Olivia’s gaze flicked to Aurora, her lips curling into a bitter smile. "I’m still investigating that," she replied.

Aurora met her gaze with calm resolve, her voice cutting through the tension. "Vintage Cellar doesn’t have the luxury of time to wait for your investigations, Olivia. The company’s stock is plummeting, and the hashtags calling for Spraying Champagne’s discontinuation are gaining momentum."

"What are you implying?" Olivia shot back, her tone sharp. "That we should bow to pressure from people who don’t understand the vision behind my product?"

Another executive chimed in, frustration evident. "You shouldn’t have gone on a LIVE podcast to discuss your champagne’s so-called ’secret.’ What were you expecting?"

A younger director nodded in agreement. "Are you waiting for our stocks to hit rock bottom before admitting defeat?"

Olivia’s jaw tightened, her fists balled under the table. She opened her mouth to retort, but Stephanie raised a hand, commanding silence.

"Enough," Stephanie said firmly, her gaze pinning Olivia in place. "Your second chance has expired. After careful deliberation, the board and I have decided to discontinue Spraying Champagne, effective immediately."

The declaration hit Olivia like a physical blow. Her chest tightened as anger and humiliation warred within her. But there was nothing she could do. Stephanie continued speaking, unaffected by the storm brewing inside Olivia.

"Now," Stephanie said, shifting her attention to the rest of the room, "we’ll move on to discuss the release of Fruit Punch Champagne’s citrus flavour this Friday. The advertisements are ready and will be launched this afternoon."

The marketing head nodded. "We’ve secured prime billboard spots and social media placements to ensure maximum visibility. Additionally, we’ll be sending out bottles to our investors and top customers this evening."

Olivia clenched her fists tighter, her nails digging into her palms as jealousy and rage consumed her. Her product had just been axed, and now everyone was enthusiastically discussing how to promote Aurora’s. It was unbearable.

The meeting concluded with Stephanie issuing a few more directives. Olivia couldn’t wait to leave. She bolted out of the room, but her escape was short-lived as Aurora followed her into the hallway.

"Olivia," Aurora called, her calm tone laced with steel.

Olivia stopped and turned, her eyes blazing. "What do you want? Come to gloat?"

Aurora shook her head, her expression unreadable. "I’m here to warn you," she said evenly. "Keep my name out of your mouth. Don’t drag me into your mess."

Without waiting for a response, Aurora turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Olivia standing in the hallway, stunned and seething.

---

By evening, Vintage Cellar released an official statement addressing the discontinuation of Spraying Champagne. The announcement cited poor sales and a commitment to maintaining the company’s reputation as reasons for the decision.

The statement ended on a high note, promoting the upcoming release of Fruit Punch Champagne’s citrus flavour, calling it a "sizzling goodness" that consumers could look forward to.

The Swift’s Family’s Private Residence.

Later that evening, Stephanie returned home, exhausted but satisfied. She barely had time to remove her shoes before Stella, sitting in the living room, pounced on her.

"What is the meaning of that announcement?" Stella demanded, her voice sharp. "How dare you discontinue my daughter’s champagne without my consent?"

Stephanie set her bag down calmly and met Stella’s furious gaze. "What you read in the announcement is exactly what happened, so stop asking stupid questions," she replied.

Stella stood, her face twisted with rage. "Who do you think you are? You have no right to make such a decision!"

Stephanie’s lips curled into a smirk. "Oh, I have every right. If you understood the damage your daughter has caused this company, you’d realize I’m being generous by not letting the entire board vote her out."

Stella’s face turned red. "Mark my words, Stephanie. Your days as chairwoman and CEO are numbered."

Stephanie chuckled, unfazed. "Do whatever you like, Stella. I’ll be waiting here." She was truly confident that Stella couldn’t do anything to her.

---

Meanwhile, in a sleek black car making its way through Wing City, Xander sat in the backseat, his expression pensive. Liam, seated in the front passenger seat, answered a call.

"Yes," Liam said into the phone. After a brief conversation, he turned to Xander. "Our team has secured the evidence: the transaction receipt and the recorded confession."

Xander nodded, his jaw tightening with resolve. "Good. It’s time for me to see the waiter’s wife myself."

Liam glanced at the chauffeur. "To the safe house."

"Yes, sir," the chauffeur replied, adjusting the GPS.

---

An hour later, the sleek black car pulled into the secure driveway of the safe house, guarded by men in black suits with sharp eyes scanning the area for threats.

Liam stepped out swiftly and opened the door for Xander. Emerging with a composed yet commanding presence, Xander adjusted his suit jacket, his icy aura making even the guards stiffen.

"This way, sir," Liam said, leading him inside.

The house’s interior was sparse but fortified. Xander sat on the lone armchair at the center of the sitting area, while Liam stood beside him, signalling a guard to proceed.

Moments later, the guard returned with another escorting the waiter’s wife, a baby bundled protectively in her arms. Her wary eyes darted around as she hesitated before sitting across from Xander, clutching her child tightly.

Liam signalled another guard, who handed him a brown envelope. Liam opened it, revealing its contents: a printed receipt, a copy of a bank statement, and a small pen recorder. He carefully examined each item before walking over to Xander and handing them to him one by one.

Xander reviewed each item with calculating eyes before pressing play on the recorder. As the recording ended, Xander handed the items back to Liam.

Finally, he fixed his cold gaze on the woman. She flinched slightly, but held his stare, trembling under the weight of his commanding presence.

"You and I have the same goal," Xander began, his voice cold and steady. "To see Stella Swift brought to justice. But that requires your full cooperation."

The woman nodded quickly, her grip on her baby tightening. "I will do whatever you need me to. Just... just promise me that my child and I will be safe."

Xander leaned forward slightly, his intense gaze locking onto hers. "As long as you keep your end of the bargain, you and your child will be protected. But if you even think about backing out or betraying me, there will be consequences."

The hidden threat in his words sent a chill down her spine. She nodded frantically, her voice barely a whisper. "I understand."

"Good," Xander said, leaning back and allowing a small, almost imperceptible smile to cross his lips. "We have a deal."

Rising, he adjusted his suit and nodded to Liam. "Let’s go."

---

Xander’s Private Residence.

Aurora returned home and asked about Xander. Nene informed her that he was on his way home.

"I will be upstairs," Aurora told Nene before turning into the hallway. Once she got to her bedroom, she grabbed her phone from her bag and went straight to her call long before dialling her Aunt’s number.

After a few rings, Stephanie answered. "Aurora? Is something wrong? We just saw each other earlier."

Aurora let out a soft sigh. "There’s a slight problem, Aunt Stephanie."

"What is it?" Stephanie’s voice held a mix of curiosity and concern.

Aurora hesitated before speaking. "I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and I want to petition for my father’s murder case to be reopened and reinvestigated."

The other end of the line went silent for a moment. "Aurora," Stephanie said cautiously, "that case was closed because there were no leads after the waiter’s death. Why now?"

"I need closure," Aurora admitted, her voice tinged with emotion. "I know reopening the case could bring complications, but... I can’t let my father’s killer go unpunished."

Stephanie sighed heavily. "Aurora, I understand your feelings, but reopening this case could flip the company upside down. It could damage our reputation."

"I’ve thought about that," Aurora replied. "But... there’s new evidence. Something that could lead us to the truth."

There was another pause. Stephanie’s voice lowered, concern evident. "Aurora, you sound like you know something. What are you not telling me?"

Chapter 183: No Peace for Stella

Aurora swallowed hard, debating on how much to reveal. In the end, she listened to her instinct.

"Aunt, the only thing you have to know is that clues are leading to an external person and until the identity is vetted, I can not make guesses."

Another round of silence followed before Stephanie’s voice came on again. In the end, she accepted Aurora’s decision and drummed her support.

"I will inform the rest of the family," Stephanie assured her. "You can go ahead with the filings."

---

Xander sat in the backseat of the sleek black car, the faint glow of streetlights reflecting off the window. His gaze was sharp, his thoughts already several steps ahead. Beside him, Liam sat upright in the front passenger seat, awaiting his instructions.

"Liam," Xander began, his tone low but commanding. "Make copies of the evidence we obtained tonight. Once Aurora files to reopen the case, send a copy to the authorities. Ensure they’re delivered securely. No loose ends."

"Yes, sir," Liam replied without hesitation.

The rest of the ride was silent, the air thick with the weight of what was to come.

---

The Swift Family’s Private Residence

At the crack of dawn, Olivia arrived at the Swift family’s mansion, her heels clicking on the polished marble floors as she made her way to Stella’s bedroom after being hinted by the housekeeper.

"Mother," Olivia began as she entered the room without knocking, her tone laced with frustration.

Stella looked up from her vanity mirror, already sensing trouble as surprise contoured her face. "What is it this time?"

"It’s Owen," Olivia huffed, throwing her bag onto the bed. "He’s adamant about this divorce. I need something to stop him—something that will make him reconsider."

Stella’s eyes narrowed. "You’re still clinging to this disastrous marriage? I’ve told you, Olivia, let him go! He’s not worth ruining your future over. What happened to your ears? Why don’t you listen?"

"I don’t care about your lectures right now," Olivia snapped. "I need a solution and I came to you for that. But if you can’t help me with it, I will do it myself as usual."

Before Stella could respond, a servant knocked gently and announced, "Breakfast is served, ma’am."

"We will continue this discussion later," Stella said, rising from her seat with a dark look on her face.

---

The dining room was grand, but the atmosphere was far from pleasant. Stephanie sat at the head of the table, calmly sipping her tea, while Olivia and Stella took their seats.

"Good morning," Stephanie greeted, her tone neutral.

Stella forced a polite nod, while Olivia merely muttered a response.

"I have an announcement," Stephanie began, placing her teacup down. "Aurora is petitioning to reopen Adam’s murder case. I’ve already given her my support."

The words hung heavy in the air. Olivia straightened, a glimmer of satisfaction in her eyes. "That’s excellent news. Whoever killed my father must pay," she said without ever thinking that she was drumming support for Aurora.

At least, they were on the same page on this one.

Meanwhile, Stella’s hand tightened around her fork, her knuckles turning white. "Reopening that case will only bring chaos. It could tarnish the company’s reputation. I thought we’ve talked about this before."

Olivia’s gaze snapped to her mother, her tone cutting. "Are you saying we should let the murderer walk free for the sake of the company?"

"That’s not what I’m saying," Stella replied, her voice strained as she struggled to mask her growing panic as her heart raced in her chest. "I’m saying we need to think carefully before stirring the past."

"You sound very unhappy Mother," Olivia said, her eyes narrowing. "Don’t tell me you are going to protect Dad’s murderer because of the company’s reputation."

Stephanie raised a brow at Stella’s unease but remained silent, observing the exchange.

"Don’t talk nonsense," Stella snapped, regaining her composure. "I’m simply being practical. That’s all."

---

The Police Station.

Aurora arrived at the police station, escorted by Liam.

Once inside the investigator’s office, she introduced herself and explained her intentions. "I’m here to formally request the reopening of my father’s murder case. I have new evidence that warrants a fresh investigation."

The investigator leaned back in his chair, intrigued. "What kind of evidence, Mrs. Scott?"

Aurora gestured to Liam, who handed over the brown envelope. "This contains a bank statement, a receipt, and a recorded confession. There is also a key witness ready to testify if needed."

The investigator examined the contents, his brow furrowing as he flipped through the documents. "This is compelling," he admitted. "We will need to verify these claims, but it’s enough to begin the process."

"Thank you," Aurora said, her voice steady.

---

Back at the Swift mansion, Stella paced her bedroom, her mind racing. Memories of the offshore account she used to pay the waiter’s wife resurfaced, sending a chill down her spine.

She grabbed her phone and dialled a secure number. "I need confirmation that the offshore account I used a few months ago can’t be traced back to me," she demanded.

The voice on the other end assured her, "There’s no trail leading to you, Mrs. Swift."

Stella exhaled, her shoulders sagging slightly. But her relief was short-lived as her thoughts drifted to Aurora. "What does she know? And where did she get this confidence to reopen the case.?"

Sitting on the edge of her bed, Stella whispered to herself, "I need to find out..."

---

At the same time, Tea Time Gossip released an article with the caption, "Vintage Cellar Cleans House, Discontinues Olivia’s Failed Product."

Tea Time Gossip Blog didn’t hold back as it delved into the latest drama surrounding Vintage Cellar and Olivia.

"The decision to discontinue the infamous ’Spraying Champagne’ was long overdue. Let’s face it, selling a product made from discarded grapes at an exorbitant price was not only ridiculous but also a slap in the face to loyal customers. Well done, Vintage Cellar, for finally taking the right step!"

The article didn’t stop there. It recapped Olivia’s embarrassing livestream and the resurfaced footage from the nightclub incident.

"Olivia’s attempts to play victim have backfired spectacularly. Denying what the internet has already seen only insults the intelligence of her audience. And I hope she learns from the embarrassing clips flying about the internet face."

The blog ended on a celebratory note, heartily congratulating Aurora on her upcoming release of the Citrus Fruit Punch Champagne while throwing a jab at Olivia.

"Aurora Swift continues to shine as the true gem of the Swift family. We can’t wait to taste her latest creation. Cheers to more success!"

The article concluded with an open invitation to fans: "What are your thoughts on the Olivia debacle? Let us know in the comments!"

Chapter 184: Public Embarrassment

The internet buzzed with reactions, as fans took to the comments section to voice their opinions, most of them agreeing wholeheartedly with Tea Time’s scathing critique of Olivia.

And with that, more critics against Olivia were fired without mercy.

Family Diner Restaurant.

The clinking of cutlery and hum of conversations filled the air as Casey sat across from Susu at a table tucked in the corner of an upscale restaurant. Both women leaned over Casey’s phone, scrolling through the latest Tea Time Gossip article about Olivia Swift.

When they finished reading, Casey threw her head back in laughter, her shoulders shaking with delight. "I told you," she said, her voice dripping with glee. "Sending those pieces of information to Olivia was genius. Look at her now—self-destructing beautifully."

Casey was talking about those tip-offs Olivia used to get regarding Owen’s location and what he was up to.

Susu smirked, stirring her iced latte lazily with a straw. "I never knew being part of a gossip war could be this entertaining," she said, a sly grin spreading across her face. "It’s almost a shame that there aren’t any juicy new opportunities right now. Olivia’s already embarrassed herself so much; we’re running out of material!"

Casey adjusted her dark shades, her expression smug. "Don’t worry, darling," she said smoothly. "Olivia’s her own worst enemy. Give her a little time, and she will create more drama for us to feed to Tea Time. We don’t even need to lift a finger."

Susu chuckled, lifting her glass in a mock toast. "To Olivia Swift—queen of self-sabotage. May she continue giving us endless content!"

Casey raised her own glass of water with a wicked grin. "Cheers."

The two women laughed, their voices mingling with the ambient noise, their shared secret binding them even closer.

---

Vintage Cellar.

Back at the company, Olivia sat in her office during lunch break, her eyes scanning the new Tea Time article on her tablet. She just couldn’t keep her attention away, and with each sentence she read, her fury boiled hotter.

What made her crazier were the never-ending comments aimed to ruin her mental health.

"A chameleon who doesn’t deserve a second child," the comment read. "Olivia is setting herself—and the Swift and Scott families—up for more disaster."

Another read, "May Olivia Swift never happen to us."

Olivia’s fingers gripped the edges of the tablet so tightly that her knuckles turned white. When she reached the part congratulating Aurora for her new champagne flavour, Olivia snapped.

With a scream of pure rage, she grabbed a fork from her plate and slammed it into the screen of her tablet. "You stupid blogger, leave me the fuck alone!" she shrieked, her voice echoing off the office walls.

Her assistant opened the door cautiously, only to quickly close it again, retreating from the explosion of anger inside.

Olivia let out another frustrated scream, pacing back and forth. Her breath came in ragged gasps as she tried to compose herself. Just as she sat back down, muttering curses under her breath, a call from the front desk interrupted her.

"Ma’am," the receptionist’s voice crackled through the intercom. "Your husband is here to see you."

Olivia froze. Her heart began to race, panic and anger mixing together. "What does he want now?" she muttered to herself before pressing the button to reply. "Don’t let him up. I’ll be down in a moment."

Olivia smoothed her hair, grabbed her phone, and rushed out of the office, her heels clicking furiously against the tiled floor as her thoughts wandered off.

---

Olivia found Owen sitting casually in the reception area, his legs crossed as he flipped through a magazine he found on the table in front of him. When he saw her, he smirked and stood, holding an envelope in his hand.

"What are you doing here?" she demanded, her voice low and tense.

"Relax," Owen drawled, stepping closer to her. He shoved the envelope into her hands. "Since you shredded the first set and the second, I’ve officially refiled for divorce. This time, don’t bother tearing it up. If you do, the court might arrest you for contempt."

Olivia’s face went pale as she clutched the envelope. "Owen, lower your voice," she hissed, glancing nervously at the curious eyes of employees who had paused to watch the scene unfold.

But Owen wasn’t done. His voice grew louder, his tone dripping with mockery. "Why should I? Isn’t this what you wanted? A big public show?"

"Owen, please," Olivia begged through gritted teeth, her voice faltering. But she wanted nothing more than to punch his face and knock senses out of him.

He leaned in close, his smirk widening. "Beg all you want, Olivia. It won’t change anything. I’m done with you."

Turning on his heel, Owen strolled out of the building, his hands casually in his pockets. Olivia stood frozen, humiliation washing over her as whispers spread through the reception area.

One employee leaned toward another and whispered, "Did he just serve her divorce papers right here at her workplace?"

Olivia’s hands trembled as she clutched the envelope. Her nails dug into the edges as she stormed back to her office, vowing under her breath, "I might have to kill you myself!"

---

Later that afternoon, Tea Time Gossip Blog updated its website with yet another explosive article. "From Podcast Drama to Public Divorce: Olivia Swift’s Spiral Continues!"

The article detailed Owen’s public delivery of divorce papers at Vintage Cellar, noting the humiliation Olivia faced in front of her employees.

"Olivia Swift’s life is unravelling before our very eyes. First, the public backlash from her livestream. Now, her husband has delivered divorce papers right at her workplace. What does this prove? I thought she claimed that things were great behind closed doors. It seems like little Miss attention seeker has finally fallen into her web of lies. I bet she didn’t see this move from Owen coming!"

The comments section exploded with reactions, mostly mocking Olivia’s downfall as the article spread like wildfire.

SquidGame001; "Someone please pinch me. How many dramas within three days?"

MomOf4; "Public divorce? How embarrassing! But she brought this on herself."

Systablaze; "Olivia better retire from the spotlight before she crashes and burns entirely."

Phillipians4:16; "Is everyone forgetting that this woman told us an entire web of lies during her LIVE podcast interview?"

LOL; "I don’t care what anyone says, but Olivia needs to be arrested ASAP! She has told far too many lies to be left alone. She should be charged for lying and deceiving the public!"

Christy256; "My Goodness! I’m so ashamed of this woman on her family’s behalf! What an institute of disgrace. Olivia is a walking red flag."

Creator; "I think this woman is suffering from a mental illness. Her family should please check on her."

Chapter 185: Dirty Thoughts at Noon

With all the drama Olivia has been embroiled in lately, one would expect Aurora to have a soft spot for her. Unfortunately, Aurora’s heart was far from that.

Aurora had since disconnected her emotions from them after going through a lot at the hands of that mother and daughter. If it wasn’t for Xander who appeared in her life, Aurora bet that the rest of her life would have been miserable or at worst, she would have been disposed of.

So, all thanks to Xander, she was living a better life and watching her enemies drag each other and make a mess of themselves without her lifting as much as a finger to get revenge.

Aurora read through the comments left for Olivia and became ashamed on her behalf. "I wouldn’t even show my face after this if I were to be in her shoes," she mumbled to herself as she scrolled through the comment section.

Even though Aurora didn’t show it, she was satisfied watching Olivia receive all the bashing she deserved.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Aurora put her phone away and turned her attention to her laptop screen to continue with her work, but right then, a phone chimed softly.

One glance, a smile turned up on Aurora’s lips. The next moment, she picked up her phone to read Xander’s text and respond to it.

"Hello, Sweetheart! How’s your day going? Have you had lunch yet?"

"Hello, Darling! My day is running smoothly. And yes, I’ve had lunch. What about you?" Aurora texted with a smile.

Xander replied back and even added an eggplant emoji at the end. "I’m just about to have lunch. And my day is boring without you. I miss you a lot."

Aurora’s jaw dropped as she took a long pause. It took her a moment to recover and the moment she did, she leaned back into her seat and typed back. "Is that what you’ve been thinking all day?"

"Yes." Xander texted with a wild grin on his face, then he proceeded to continue with, "I wish I was right there in your office so I could sit your ass down on the table and spread your legs apart. What do you think of getting fucked on a mahogany table?"

Almost immediately, Aurora felt her breath get caught in her throat. As she imagined receiving Xander’s hot hard throbbing dick in her office, that certain part of her body reacted followed by a soft moan that escaped from her lips.

"Don’t distract me with your dirty thoughts. The weather is hot, and I’m too busy for that." Aurora typed back as soon as she saw the three question marks Xander sent to her.

Instantly, a smirk turned on Xander’s lips. "Sweetheart, I know the feeling is mutual. How about you spread your legs so my fingers can make you feel good? I can already picture you moaning and squirming with just two fingers inside you."

"As punishment for being so naughty this afternoon, I’m going to ride your dick until it falls off tonight." An equal smirk appeared on Aurora’s lips as soon as she finished sending that text, but what she didn’t expect was Xander sending her a picture of his dick already hard inside his black pants.

"This dick is all yours tonight, Sweetheart."

Aurora felt an uncontrollable pool between her legs. She knew her husband had that much effect on her, but what she didn’t expect was her reaction despite her effort to close off her feelings during the sex chat.

It took a moment for Aurora to recover and when she did, Xander had already changed the course of their conversation.

"Sweetheart, I will come to pick you up in time for our doctor’s appointment by 4 PM. Also, I wanted to remind you of something important as well. Are you still there?"

Aurora read the message and typed, "I’m here..."

"The police will have to know you aren’t your father’s biological daughter which sets the motive for the waiter’s attempt to gun you down before turning to your father." Xander sent the message and patiently waited for her response.

Aurora paused for a moment before replying, "It’s fine... Just as long as the reinvestigations are kept under wraps. Also, can you ensure that Stella doesn’t leave this country during this period? One can never tell her next move."

On the other hand, all was not well with Olivia. Throughout the day, she couldn’t get any work done. First, she had to deal with Tea Time’s articles and bashing from netizens attacking her and as if that wasn’t enough drilling for the day, Owen had to show up to the company and slam the divorce papers into her hands right in front of everybody who knew them.

Now, what those his actions make her?

After everything she had said during the LIVE podcast, he had to choose this time to embarrass her and turn her into a laughingstock.

"He has played with my dignity over and over again!" Olivia sobbed as she dabbed her tears and dumped the piece of tissue on the floor.

As she had been crying for a while now, the space around her was littered with tissue papers and that was the least of her problems since she couldn’t even see them yet.

"What am I going to do now?" Olivia sobbed into her palms. "I can’t give in to this after everything he has put me through!"

Olivia felt embittered because checking the history between her and Owen, she was the one who lost to him however she tried to make the situation appear in her favour.

He cheated on her with her best friend at their bachelorette party. They got married and she found out that she was carrying his child but he never for one day asked how the child was doing instead, he had doubts that it belonged to him.

Owen continued with his cheating everywhere he could without regarding her for one beat. Then in other to get a little revenge on him, she induced her miscarriage and pinned it on him.

Next, she asked for divorce only to find out that leaving him would only grant him the freedom he required, hence, she changed her mind and tried to trap him in the marriage. Unfortunately, he retaliated and filed for divorce and even resorted to publicly embarrassing her and exposing her lies about the true situation of their marriage.

"That bastard!" Olivia sniffed as she lifted her head.
